whew! I got a new phone and locked myself outta my tumblr but I'm back like Mark Morrison, and take power away from babies. Back to reminding you that you can't vote away fascism. yes you should vote. no I won't tell you who to vote for, except not Trump. It's not a silver bullet, it's more like laying down splash guards when you start painting. It's the thing that makes it so you can focus your energy strategically and take some modicum of power to harm from those who would use their power for exactly that.

The most important thing you can do under our current geopolitical climate is create.

Create

Solidarity,

Connections with other oppressed people,

Mutual aid networks,

Revolutionary art, and

Spaces where love and compassion can grow and thrive.

We have to carve that shit out of blood and stone and resistance. Because that is the wall that we are up against as we continually invent a better world.

Drunk Dial Records is to music what Drunk History is to history. Get people inebriated and let them spin a yarn or sing a song. The 12th release in the series is one of my favorite power pop musicians - Gentleman Jesse.

Side one is an original while side two is a cover of Mark Morrison's "Return of the Mack".

I've always felt that Gentleman Jesse consistently writes and performs songs with the energy of early Joe Jackson. I could also see some putting him in the same category as Royal Headache or Jay Reatard.

Gentleman Jesse was formed in Atlanta, Georgia, and as far as I can tell he's still based there.
