Oh we’re doing that thing again where we pretend business degrees are useless so that way if (when) corporations commit serious crimes or influencers commit serious ethical violations we can all be like “lol they didn’t know anything business school only teaches two+2!”
Meanwhile the textbook lays out the exact scenario as what NOT to do in week 2. In a textbook that, weirdly, no businessperson ever cites. Despite it being almost universally taught in classrooms and lecture halls. Sure.
It’s almost like people are pretending there aren’t regulations to learn in hopes that they’ll go away…
And the general public making those jokes are falling for it…
But of course the jokesters you like would never lie to you so it must be something else! Surely they’ve learned nothing about the tax code to exploit loopholes! They definitely haven’t learned any dodgy marketing practices! They’d have to go to a class for that! And business schools only teach… 2+2.
Remember this: people on the internet will lie to you for money. Never believe anything without fact checking and ascertaining they don’t have a vested interest in lying.
If you believe this, you have fallen directly for a dodgy marketing tactic.
We can do this right now: think of every influencer you know in a research-heavy niche who is known for or suspected of cutting serious research corners. Now think of influencers you know that make jokes about how business degrees are useless. I suspect a pattern might be emerging.
Fashion merchandising, accounting, and marketing are all business majors. We literally have not finished the reckoning of how marketing uses psychology and sociology to manipulate people. Please, let’s pretend to be just a little bit serious. You are nodding along with “accounting majors? They don’t know how to do math!” (And keep in mind… we all have to take basic accounting classes. A lot of jokes made about business majors and business school are only specifically applicable to one type of MBA student.) Use your brains. Don’t let weirdos you don’t know making a living on the internet lie to you.
I just watched a YouTube video where everyone was laughing at the students and neither the host or the comments put together that teaching comprehensive business ethics is an avenue for teaching the more cynical students a roadmap on how to disregard ethics and get away with it. Why? Because the host implied either the students weren’t paying attention or the professor was lying about the coursework, and the audience believed him.
If you see someone doing this: click off the video. Immediately. They are not a trustworthy source of information.

Ooooo what are your headcanons about Alfred's insecurities!? 8)
oops! i get really infodumpy. there's Migraines in Margaritaville context at the beginning and headcanons for this AU's Alfred's insecurities alllll the way at the end. if you just want to skip to it there's be a header in pink that says Woe, Insecurities Be Upon Alfred. anything that i talk about in the context section is stuff I've already talked about in the prologue and first chapter of the fic, found here, or information that isn't relevant enough to be mentioned in the fic and is more fun fact
okay so I came up with a really funny way to refer to Migraines in Margaritaville whenever I'm mentioning that fic casually
I will now refer to anything regarding that fic as The Margaritaverse
Anyway, to give a quick recap on Margaritaverse Alfred and Matthew:
Alfred (Kirkland-Bonnefoy) F. Jones is a popular Youtuber living just outside of New York City. His channel is all about food. You could consider him a food critic, but he also tries strange vintage recipes, debunks Tiktok recipes, and explores the cookbook left to him by his Papa when he and Alfred's dad moved back to Europe (The prologue actually starts off with him cooking a cake from his childhood that will be relevant later). He lives alone and doesn't have many friends aside from his old college roommate and Kiku Honda, a fellow popular food Youtuber (and full time surface design illustrator) who he met at Vidcon the year prior. His entire life right now is making content for Youtube because even though he's got a double degree in finance and marketing, he can't manage to find a job in his field
Matthew (Kirkland-Bonnefoy) Williams is a hockey star who moved to Montreal, Quebec immediately after college. Fun fact, he actually lives in Kirkland, which is a suburb of Montreal (I literally only chose it because of the name). He's been playing hockey practically his whole life and spends as much time outdoors as possible. He's doing really well for himself; He's got a lovely Samoyed dog named Kumajirou, a house (in this economy???), and his girlfriend of three years, Kateryna (I'm still not set on a last name for her, but I've been using Chernenko because that's what I've seen floating around. I'm up to suggestions!)
Alfred and Matthew are identical twins who grew up in Massachusetts. Never been quite set on how the boys came to be other than being born in 1998, so whether they're fully adopted or related to just one of their dads is up in the air. Regardless, they grew up unable being to escape being compared at home, at school, and anywhere really.
Alfred's insecurities stem from Matthew receiving a lot of attention from their dads. I thought it'd be fun to play with the idea that Alfred was accidentally ignored rather than Mattie and see what That Does To Him. Alfred's not a quiet kid -- he kinda just has a hard time fitting in. Not gonna lie, he probably has the Neurodivergent Kid Experience of being isolated from your peers for being "different." We see this in Chapter One of MIM when Alfred is excluded from a birthday party by their peers when Matthew is invited and he doesn't really fit in with the group his brother hangs around (Mattie tries to include him, to limited success). When Matthew picks up hockey, everything suddenly becomes about Matthew because he needs to be driven to practice, he needs equipment, oh no! he got hurt, and he also turns out to be pretty dang good at this thing.
Unintentionally, Alfred gets shoved to the wings.
Both Francis and Arthur have separate things they like to do with both sons. Alfred and Francis' thing is cooking. Alfred picks up a love for anything in the kitchen thanks to Francis, who is more than eager to teach him anything he knows. My favorite thought is that Alfred is the better cook but will eat almost anything, while Matthew can cook to get by but has a more refined taste (unless he's high, which in that case anything goes).
By the time of the events of MIM, the boys are estranged. I can't tell you everything just yet because spoilers, but they haven't seen each other in three years and Alfred's a bit resentful about it. He's tried to contact Mattie, but he's always too busy and eventually Al gave up.
Woe, Insecurities Be Upon Alfred
☆ Alfred's inability to get a real job makes him majorly jealous of Matthew. He spent years studying to get a double major degree to impress their parents in something he doesn't even like for none of it to pay off. Francis and Arthur aren't disappointed in Alfred, but they don't take his job as seriously as they do Mattie's
☆ Follow up to the point above, when Matthew got drafted into the NHL (I never name the team but I know Montreal has their own team so it's up to the reader if he plays for them or someone else), it felt like a shot in the heart to Alfred. He wonders if he could've had something like something Matthew's career if his dads poured everything into it like Matthew's hockey training
☆ Matthew was able to make so many friends when they were younger whereas Alfred couldn't. Nobody wanted to talk to Alfred about the things he liked, which made him really upset, because he knew sooooo much about those things! Matthew excelled socially because he's witty and thinks before he speaks whereas Alfred had to learn how to do those things. He's a bit blunt and when he tries to make jokes they really only make sense to him
☆ Alfred doesn't think his parents love Mattie more than him, but sometimes it felt that way growing up. Their schedules revolved around Matthew's games because he was the team's best player
☆ Alfred is jealous that Matthew's taller. This is literally the smallest thing, especially since he's only shorter by a couple of inches, but it's still something
☆ Alfred puts on an entirely different persona for his Youtube channel. He's more animated, he writes jokes, he does things that cater to his audience, and ultimately isn't entirely himself. I think it's a form of masking because he had to figure out a way to make himself more likeable to other people
☆ He doesn't know much about Matthew's partner except for the fact that they've been together for three years and she's from Ukraine. He doesn't know her name or what she even looks like until the Prologue/Chapter One. There's some contention here for reasons I can't mention yet ;)
☆ Matthew is a very private person because of his fame. Alfred also is (they both use fake last names for their careers so they can maintain some sort of privacy in their day-to-day). Alfred doesn't understand why this privacy also extends to him. He's Matthew's brother. His twin. Why is he shut out?
☆ Alfred's channel being food related calls back to his favorite past-time with Francis. His designated bonding activity with Arthur was watching bad old movies (I think they both love Monty Python and the Holy Grail, though), but he can't really do much with that. Maybe occasionally he recreates food from shows and movies his Dad likes, to bring both of his parents into one activity. Anyway, cooking and food is a way for him to feel connected to his Papa in a way Matthew never was. It's like something untainted by Matthew's success since he was never too interested in the complicated meals Francis cooks. Alfred wonders if he would feel different if he went to culinary school instead (he didn't go because being stuck in a kitchen for so long and at odd hours like Francis didn't seem appealing not like business is any better)
TLDR: Alfred is a very jealous person because of a variety of factors and internalizes his failures (which aren't really even failures). He spends MIM working through his jealousy for his brother and is constantly back and forth between being excited to see Mattie after so long and feeling inferior to him since Matthew seemingly has it all
anyway. all this to say I really need to start workin on Margaritaverse again. I think they're supposed to go to like. three margartiavilles in that chapter? I'm not sure, I need to refamiliarize myself with my giant Lore doc and make edits with my fresh eyes

Sweet True Lies: Chapter 1
Eyes Do Not Lie
Paring(s): None... yet
Characters: F!Reader, Commander Fox, OC clone troopers
Summary: During a disastrous date night, Commander Fox comes to your aid and teaches your assailant a lesson.
Rating: Explicit 18+
Warnings: SA threat (just the threat, nothing further), violence
Word Count: 3k
Ao3 link
A/N: Please let me know if I missed any warning tags with this one. This work contains graphic depictions of violence and an SA threat (it doesn’t actually occur tho), so if you're not ok with those, don't read.
I may also turn this into a short series. I have ideas (hence the title), but I'm not sure yet. Let me know if you want a part 2!
Eyes Do Not Lie
You sipped at your wine, slouching back into the luxuriously plush chair of the over-the-top restaurant overlooking Coruscant’s skyline. You already disliked coming to these kinds of establishments for your mother’s charity functions, so coming to one for a date was not exactly your idea of a fun evening. Sighing purely out of boredom, you crossed your legs and gazed out the glass wall beside your table.
Having grown up with an abundance of wealth from your late father, a bitter taste was left in your mouth when it came to the upper classes of the Core Worlds. The posh lifestyle and the overinflated sense of self-importance most of your socialite friends—if you could really call them friends—possessed was off-putting, to say the least. You had never been one to buy the most expensive clothes and trinkets or follow the latest trends that made their way through the materialistic society, and you glumly wished that one of them were here to take your place.
Tonight, you would have rather been down in the night markets, eating steaming food straight from vendor stalls and watching various street performers—things you remembered doing with your father before he died. He taught you the true value of wealth from a young age, how to maintain it, and how to use your fortunate position in life to help others.
After he was gone, you had spent the majority of your free time volunteering and working for the charity organization your brilliant surgeon mother had founded in his memory. You even earned your university degree in finance to prepare yourself to take over the charity someday. You had met people of all different species from all different places across the galaxy through your work, and your workload had only doubled since the Clone Wars had started. So, on a rare night off, you had somewhat hoped to be swept off your tired feet for a change.
You gazed out the window at the darkening sky, the towering skyscrapers, and the speeder traffic as you mused in your memories, barely listening to your date anymore. It’s so beautiful here at night. you thought, swirling the pale, bubbling liquid in your glass. The glittering skyline itself never failed to dazzle you—something your date was currently failing at.
“And I also have—well, my father has—a summer home on… And one time I… Did I mention that I…” your date rambled.
Maker, he just doesn’t shut up about himself. you grumbled inwardly, taking another sip of the expensive, sparkling white wine. You were certain the sweet, crisp flavor of the fruity alcohol and the promise of a buzz were the only things that would get you through the evening as the young man seated across from you babbled on and on.
It seemed that he never recounted a story or even spoke a sentence unless it was about himself, and it was always after he had taken a bite of his over-priced gundark steak. You had barely gotten a word in edgewise between his stories, he never once asked you anything about yourself, and anything you said may as well have been fuel for his ramblings.
You continued sipping at your wine—your own steak barely touched thanks to his obnoxious, open-mouthed chewing—as you analyzed him, wondering what your mother’s friend could have possibly seen in this tall, lanky, self-involved governor’s son. He was not unattractive, with dark hair and sharp features, but his attitude had canceled that out straight away. If you were being honest with yourself, you were so disinterested that you could not even remember his name.
Your mother’s friend had meant well when she had set up the date for you, but even your mother had done a double-take at you when you had agreed to go. You were not normally one to go on a blind date, and this experience was only reinforcing that you never would again. Finally tired of his incessant chatter, you downed your wine and signaled a passing waiter droid so you could pay the tab and be done with him.
“Eager to get home?” he asked, smirking at you around a mouthful of food.
“Something like that,” you muttered blandly, inserting your credit chip into the droid. Your skin crawled while you waited for the payment to process. He had looked at his dinner the same way he was eyeing you now, like a piece of meat. The droid beeped a few times to signal that the payment had gone through, so you quickly grabbed your wool-lined coat and practically sped to the exit.
“Well, I’m not gonna say no to a lady who likes to treat,” he laughed. He tossed his napkin over his leftover food as he rose, bumping the table less than gracefully, and quickly followed after you.
Fighting the urge to roll your eyes, you stepped into the turbolift that took you swiftly to the practically deserted streets below. Although Coruscant did not technically have seasons, it had been uncharacteristically chilly for the past few days in your district, keeping the normal foot traffic away. You cringed a little from the feeling of your date’s eyes still on you, and it made your stomach churn.
“Listen, I’m really not feeling all that well, tonight,” you said over your shoulder, trying to gauge just how close he was. The air in the small lift was becoming rather thick, making you feel boxed in. “I think I just need to go home.”
He ignored the implied sentiment completely, his hands coming up to grip your upper arms as the turbolift came to a stop. “Bet I could make you feel better, babe,” he said, his voice low and slippery.
Utterly disgusted by his behavior, you shrugged out of his grasp before he could come any closer. “Please, don’t touch me.”
“Hey, come on now!” he protested bluntly as you nearly launched yourself out the opening doors.
The chilled air felt like a blessing after the short lift ride, and you started toward a cab stand further down the lamplit street to call for a ride.
“What? You don’t want to have some fun?” he called after you.
“Ugh,” you groaned. “Seriously? I just said I don’t feel very well and you’re coming on to me? What’s the matter with you? For an official’s son, your manners are severely lacking.”
His eyes narrowed and he immediately lost all of the poorly practiced suavely mannerisms. You had clearly struck a nerve, and he took a purposeful, dangerously slow step toward you. “All right then, babe, maybe I won’t show you a good time. Maybe I should just take you somewhere nice and quiet and show you how I’d use that smart little mouth of yours.”
Every bit of instinct you possessed was screaming at the threat he now posed, but you stood your ground. You had taken an impressive number of martial arts classes your entire life—courtesy of your mother—and even with the alcohol in your system, you knew you were more than a match. Even still, you wished the street had not been so deserted.
“Don’t even try it. I could knock you cold,” you said boldly, subtly widening your stance in case he tried anything. The adrenaline was spiking through you now, sharpening your focus and your anger.
Just as you were anticipating, he lunged at you, grabbing at whatever part of you he could reach. Luckily for you, you were much faster. You ducked away from your assailant’s hand, managing to plant the heel of your palm into his nose and your opposite fist into his throat. He immediately coughed and sputtered, but managed to take hold of your arm and pull you off-balance as he doubled over. While you struggled against his grip with a loud snarl, you heard several sets of heavy boots racing toward you.
“Hey!” you heard a deep, modulated voice shout. “Hey, enough! Leave her be!” You had heard that voice hundreds of times.
Clone troopers.
Suddenly, your assailant was knocked away from you and flat on his back by two massive blurs of red and white armor. The three of them landed together in a heap of limbs, leaving you to stumble back into someone else’s arms. The adrenaline and fury racing through your system made you lash out, swinging yourself around to shove whoever it was away. Your hands met more armor—redder than that of the other clones.
“Get off me!” you shouted, pushing the clone away. As the initial shock wore off, you realized these were not ordinary clones. They were Coruscant Guard officers. Well, at least the one who had caught you was. He wore kamas and a helmet vizor along with carrying two DC-17 pistols—items you knew only officers were allowed.
“Easy, miss. I—” he began, but you were already stalking away toward the cab stand again. “Miss, wait! Are you hurt?” he called after you.
Readjusting your form-fitting coat, you turned sharply to face him. “I’m fine. Just leave me alone,” you spat. You had to admit your tone was not warranted, but you could not bring yourself to care. You just wanted to go home and forget this whole horrible night had happened.
The officer held his gloved hands out placatingly, “Please, I’m only—”
“I know,” you interrupted. “Look, you saw what he did to me, and if you want a statement I’ll send one to CSF tomorrow.”
He turned as one of his men called to him, “Boss?” Your assailant was struggling in their steel-like grips even with his hands now in binders.
“Hold him there, Rydar. Be there in a minute,” the commander called back, his modulated voice deep and rich. He raised his hands to his helmet after a moment, pulling it off to reveal his face.
Even though you were so aggravated, you stopped to take in his features, a little surprised at how different he looked from the average trooper. You had seen this face dozens of times, and his beautiful bronze skin was complimented by his red and white armor, but his other features set him apart, and you thought he was rather ruggedly handsome.
His hair, a little longer than regulation on top and greying at his temples, looked like it would have normally been neatly styled if he had not just taken his helmet off. The long, lightly greying curls on top of his head fell haphazardly onto his forehead along with a few others breaking loose around the evenly-faded sides.
There was also a faint scar on the left side of his bottom lip, as though it had been badly split once and not healed properly, and a light layer of dark stubble dusted his cheeks and jaw. He was massive—tall, broad, and burly, and you suddenly felt very small. That was when you noticed he had managed to take a couple of cautious steps toward you, and you immediately backed away.
“Please, I-I just want to leave,” you choked out, a lump rising in your throat. You could feel your eyes widen in fear and prickle with tears as you looked back at your assailant. He was being held on his knees by the two other clones and glaring hatefully at you. The chill that ran down your spine had nothing to do with the cold air, and you promptly looked back to the commander, who was watching you carefully. Those sharp golden-brown eyes did not seem to miss a thing.
“Okay, that’s fine. At least let me call a ride for you,” he said soothingly, searching your face and stopping his advance. He changed course over to the cab stand, pressing several buttons on the keypad and a few more on his vambrace. In less than a minute, a long, sleek blue speeder arrived.
That’s not a normal cab. you thought to yourself. That’s a senatorial transport vehicle.
A sharply dressed Mirialan driver hastily stepped out of the speeder, tipped his cap, and opened the door for you, ignoring the rest of the scene entirely.
“Take her anywhere she wants to go,” the commander said, the crisp authority in his tone telling the driver everything he needed to know.
“Yes, sir,” the Mirialan replied, nodding to the commander and waiting for you.
Your jaw dropped open unceremoniously, your head swiveling between the red-armor-clad commander and the posh speeder. You felt frozen in place, stunned by the gesture, and you were suddenly unsure of whether or not to take the ride as the knot in your stomach clenched.
The commander gave you a soft smile and a nod, “Go. This is on the Republic.” His expression may have been calm, but his amber eyes were shining with urgency.
Swallowing thickly and tearing your gaze away from his, you muttered a small, “Thank you,” and slid into the back seat of the speeder. You looked back at the clone commander one last time as the door slid shut. He was still gently smiling at you, and his posture had relaxed marginally now that you were in the vehicle.
“Where to, miss?” the driver asked, setting the speeder in motion.
You told the driver your mother’s address, not wanting to go back to your own apartment to be all alone, and you were still looking out the back window as the speeder rose into the sky. The commander grew smaller by the second, his armor the only distinguishable part of him as the distance between you increased.
The sinking feeling in your stomach and the numbness in your limbs only became more prevalent as your adrenaline rush subsided, and you suddenly felt guilty about how you had snapped at him. You hugged yourself and gnawed at your lip when you realized just how horribly you had treated him. After all, he and his men had come to your aid, and he had been very cognizant and understanding of your feelings. Although you doubted you would ever see him again, you hoped he did not think badly of you.
***
Commander Fox watched the speeder fly off, keeping that poker face on until she was well out of sight. Behind him, he could hear his men holding her assailant down, just as he had ordered.
His blood boiled with rage at the dark-haired man trapped in Rydar and Jonor’s grips. When he and his boys had rounded the corner to find the young woman defending herself against this shabuir, every cell of his body had propelled him forward to protect her.
He could not blame her for how she had reacted to her rescuers, and now that she was safe, he could get to work. A dark scowl replaced Fox’s calm façade as he turned and strode back to his men, slipping his bucket back on and cracking his knuckles. He was so very glad the street was deserted because this pompous asshole was going to learn a lesson.
Without a word, he motioned for Jonor and Rydar to follow him down a nearby alley. The assailant kicked and thrashed and growled, but his slight frame barely phased the two clones.
Stopping a few yards from the back wall of the alley, Fox pointed to the ground in front of him. His boys came around him, tossed the assailant to the filthy duracrete in a heap, and took their places flanking their commander.
“Don’t you know who I am?!” the man shouted indignantly, pushing himself to his knees.
Fox did not hesitate. He lunged forward, and in two swift strides, he locked his massive hand around the assailant’s neck, lifting him straight off the ground and slamming him into the wall. The tall, dark-haired man instinctively clawed at Fox’s vambrace, trying desperately to loosen the hand cutting off his air supply, but the Marshal Commander of the Coruscant Guard was taller, stronger, and far angrier.
“You must think you’re something special don’t you?” Fox said evenly, despite the situation. “You think you can just take whatever you want. You threatened to rape her, I could see it in her eyes.”
The man tried to choke out some defensive response, but the terror in his eyes gave away the truth.
“I sincerely hope you reevaluate your morals after tonight,” Fox said, the rage slipping into his tone. He quickly released the man from his binders, dropped him to his feet, and promptly backhanded him to the ground. He knew he could have knocked the man out if he had wanted to, but Fox knew his own strength, and he wanted this hut’uun to feel it. As the assailant scrambled to his feet again, Fox’s fist found the underside of his jaw, lifting him off the ground once again only to land in the grime.
The Marshal Commander stepped back and looked at the two vode beside him. Jonor and Rydar were little more than shinies, still a little skinny and trigger-happy, but he could see them itching to get a few swings in. He tipped his bucket toward the assailant, who was now groaning in agony, giving the boys the green light.
“Ten seconds. Leave him conscious and let him walk home,” Fox said over his shoulder, giving them veiled instructions not to break any bones. The sounds of grunts, groans, and punches grew quieter as he walked back to the entrance of the alley, counting down in his head. When he got to ten, he whistled, and the boys came jogging to his side to continue their patrol. “Not a word.”
“Yes, sir,” they said in unison, picking up their discarded blasters and falling in step.
As they continued their patrol, Fox could not help but think of the young woman. She had been so fierce and strong, but also so very beautiful. He thought of how she had shoved him back when he had caught her, and he had been a bit surprised that she was capable of such force. Her eyes had shone with both fear and determination in the darkness, ready to fight him off, too. He quietly hoped she had made it to wherever she needed to go, and that she would recover quickly from her ordeal.
Mando'a Translations:
Shabuir - extreme insult/"jerk" but stronger
Huut'uun - coward

Hi Hillary! Congrats on the new job and the move- very well deserved! I wanted to ask if you had any advice for someone seriously considering starting a PhD program in late medieval/early Rennaisance literature. I'm in my mid 30s and have a good paying job working for the city where I live, but my passion is and always has been studying and sharing the joy of literature with others. I would love to be in a more academic environment, and especially teach. However, I'm concerned about the cost of the PhD program, and the availability of positions after. Any general advice or words of wisdom would be much appreciated, though I know it's hard to advise someone without more detail. Thank you so much in advance, and congratulations again!
Ooof. Not gonna lie, I would think carefully about it for sure. A general rule of thumb is that if the institution isn't paying YOU to do your PhD there, it won't be financially worthwhile (I got a full tuition scholarship for my PhD, but still had to pay all my living costs and take a couple of student loans and yeah, adding tuition to that would have not been good). So as ever, my first advice would be to check out any proposed financial aid package; I'm not sure if you've already applied and been admitted, or if you're just kicking around the idea of applying and see what happens. PhDs are not part-time commitments; or rather, they can be, but if they are, it's pretty easy for them to stretch out into oblivion and most programs have a time limit in which you have to complete the work for a graduate degree. That can be up to 7-10 years for a part-time PhD, but yeah, if you're planning to do it full-time, that will be your job and you won't have time (or indeed energy) to do anything else. So it depends on how much you have saved, whether you have a partner or other person with a stable income who would work while you went to school, and all that.
I would also say that if your primary desire/hoped-for outcome is to teach, you... may or may not be able to do that. My job right now is very likely to lead to faculty work of one sort or another, but that wasn't a given, and seems to have come up because they were impressed by my overqualifications when I applied for this one. (Currently I am going to be managing two graduate programs in a humanities department, in a subject I could conceivably adjunct in, as well as possible opportunities in the history department, but that is all a ways down the road as yet and I still have to first learn this new job.) So if you ONLY want to teach: yes, as I can attest, the professorial/faculty job market is absolutely hellish and will crush the soul right out of you. If you're willing to consider alternate or replacement academic jobs, then the PhD is obviously an asset and will get you in the door, but it may or may not be in teaching or in your primary subject.
Overall, I obviously think that getting a doctorate in medieval history is an intellectually worthwhile endeavor (ahem), but I'm definitely going to be honest about it being hard, expensive, and hardly with a guarantee of first-choice employment at the end (indeed, pretty much the total opposite). So if you really want to do that, then you should, but do have a think about how all the logistical and financial stuff is going to work and what you want to get out of it when you're done, aside from debt, a coffee habit, and backaches. Because yes, you WILL have those. And also a lot of stress. And then more stress.
Good luck!

Ahoj!
My name is Hannah and together with Blau, we are the current volunteers in TOTEM right now. I turned 19 in October (which is longer ago than it feels like:/) and am from a middle-sized city called Cottbus an hour away from Berlin.
I just finished school last year and because of not really knowing what and where to study, I decided on applying to TOTEM.
I know that Blau and I took a long time to finally post something on here, but better late than never I would say. We had to get used to Pilsen, Czech culture and language, this new workplace and new co-workers, and of course to each other. To be fair, I underestimated the change which happens when moving to another country, even if it is not that far away from my home and does not differ that much from culture back home.
The first months were interesting to say the least. The conversation classes did not start until October which was great because we first could get a bit more used to TOTEM when it was still remotely quiter and not as many people were here. But that changed very fast when all the different activities started. Before October I could have never imagined that so many people would join the different classes; mostly of course in English and German. But it was a nice suprise!
You can imagine how sweaty my hands got everytime I had to teach a German class all by myself (in English Blau and I do the class together) in the first few weeks. I could tell you that it is super easy to do and that I have never struggled because of nervousness but that would be a lie. There are always days which go by as smoothly as ever and there are always also days where you question yourself in the smallest little things. But that is what humans do and nothing to be ashamed of.
The seniors are super interested in every new thing you tell them, they love to listen to you talking about your home, your daily life and for me personally also in the different accents. Because of Pilsen being quite near to Bavaria and Austria a lot of them go there for trips or holidays and of course practice speaking there. And just like that they learn phrases and words I have never ever heard. And of course the other way around, sometimes I use vocabulary they are not used to it. Honestly, that are my favourite moments in class, because often it is super funny when everyone is confused for a moment and then it clicks and one after the other gets the misunderstanding.
About Pilsen:
It is an experience. In the first two months there was something going on in the city centre every single weekend and often there were different festivals, events or concerts happening at the same time. And you had to choose between them which was not always an easy task to do.
I believe that in November there was a small comedown in activities, but for me personally it did not feel like one, because I started travelling a lot. I visited some friends at home which of course is easier for me to do than for Blau. I became an aunt
And of course, let’s not forget about the Christmas market in Pilsen! It was super nice and I could also get small things for my family back home. And the mulled wine was amazing, I loved the white and blueberry one!!
But I also could do some travels to Krakow, Prague and Bratislava which I enjoyed a lot. I thought about which one of them was my favourite but all of the travels were so different for me which is why I cannot really choose. All of them have their charme and if you meet the right people I think every solo travel, which I mostly do, can be great. Just look after your things (I lost and got stolen way too much stuff,a nd believe me it is no fun having to buy a new jacket in -8 degrees in Krakow just with a sweater on).
Sometimes I feel like I have still not realised that I am now in Pilsen, in Czech Republic, now. The last few months moved by way to fast. For me it could be early November as well. And you know that you enjoy doing what you do if the time goes by too quickly. So on that note:
You guy will hear from us again, next time probably from Blau. Until then,
Hannah

Various job roles after Data Science course
Tumblr media
In 2019, there were 97,000 analytics and data science job vacancies in India, according to latest figures. Data scientists will remain in high demand.
According to the Economic Times, by 2020, there will be over 2 lakh job vacancies in data science. Because of the advancement of data science, industries may now make careful data-driven judgements.
According to studies, the need for data scientists is increasing at an exponential rate, notably in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), energy, pharmaceutical, and e-commerce businesses. The title of "Sexiest Employment of the Twenty-First Century" has been conferred to data science.
How to get a job after pursuing Data Science
Let's take a look at how to become a data scientist and how to get work in the industry.
Bachelor's Degree - To get a head start in data science, consider pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or computer science. But, if you hold a degree in a different field of study, you may always enrol in online certification programmes and courses to gain the essential skills.
Improve Your Skills - Technological talents are essential for the type of job that a data scientist undertakes. Some of these include programming language skills, machine learning techniques, data visualisation, statistics, arithmetic, and so on. They are not, however, the only ones that are relevant. You will face difficult situations that will require extra skills such as effective communication, leadership, collaboration, and so on.
Choose a specialisation - Specialisations are typically preferable to developing a specialised area of interest. Choose a speciality, such as database administration, artificial intelligence, research, or machine learning, and focus your efforts on honing your skills in that area. If you accomplish so, both your earning potential and the quantity of opportunities will increase.
Take a Job/Internship - The best way to learn about data science is to get a job (either part-time or full-time) or an internship, ideally in an entry-level position. It will not be enough to just specialise and acquire new skills. Working is the only way to learn about data science and obtain valuable experience. You will also be able to develop a portfolio to submit to potential employers. Select a company that has opportunity for growth or a small corporation where you may do a range of roles. As a consequence, you will improve your skills.
Obtain a Degree in Data Science - The next step is to supplement your present knowledge with a formal degree. After you've shown your ability on the job, you'll know where your interests lie. You should seek a master's degree in data science now that you've honed your skills in your chosen field. Individuals who do not wish to commit for an extended period of time can always select from the several certifications available.
In India, the job market is hesitant to hire a young data scientist. Everyone out there wants at least two years of experience, but how will we get it?
Creating a portfolio is critical in this situation. As you are a freshman, I assume you acquired data science through online classes. The analytical skills required to clean data and apply machine learning algorithms to it are only learned via experience; they only teach you the essentials.
Publish all of your projects on sites like GitHub so that a recruiter can see that you have practical experience and are familiar with the fundamentals when they look at your profile. This will get you a long way. A technical portfolio will illustrate the information you have previously learned when you are a recent graduate seeking a job as a data scientist.
Job Roles in Data Science Career
Data Analyst - Data analysts are in charge of a wide range of responsibilities, including data visualisation, munging, and processing. They must also run queries on the databases on occasion. Optimization is one of the most crucial talents of a data analyst. This is due to the fact that they must develop and tweak algorithms that can be utilised to extract information from some of the world's largest databases without altering the data. SQL, R, SAS, and Python are some of the most popular data analysis technologies. As a result, accreditation in these areas can readily increase your job applications. You should also be skilled at problem solving.
Data Engineers - Data engineers create and test scalable Big Data ecosystems for organisations so that data scientists may run their algorithms on reliable and well optimised data platforms. To boost database performance, data engineers also update old systems with newer or improved versions of current technology. If you want to work as a data engineer, you should be familiar with the following technologies: Hive, NoSQL, R, Ruby, Java, C++, and Matlab. It would also be advantageous if you are familiar with major data APIs and ETL technologies.
Database Administrator - A database administrator's job description is fairly self-explanatory: they are responsible for the correct operation of all of an enterprise's databases and provide or revoke its services to the company's personnel based on their needs. They are also in charge of database backups and recovery. A database administrator's important abilities and talents include database backup and recovery, data security, data modelling and design, and so on. It's a big plus if you're adept at catastrophe management.
Machine Learning Engineer - Nowadays, machine learning engineers are in high demand. Nonetheless, the work profile is not without its difficulties. Machine learning engineers are required to do A/B testing, design data pipelines, and implement common machine learning algorithms such as classification, clustering, and so on, in addition to having in-depth understanding of some of the most powerful technologies such as SQL, REST APIs, and so on. To begin, you should be familiar with technologies such as Java, Python, and JavaScript. Second, you should be well-versed in statistics and mathematics. After you've mastered both, it'll be much easier to land a job interview.
Data Scientist - Data scientists must understand business concerns and provide the best solutions through data analysis and processing. For example, they are expected to execute predictive analysis and sift through "unstructured/disorganised" data to provide actionable insights. They can also do so by recognising trends and patterns that will assist businesses in making better judgements. To become a data scientist, you must be proficient in R, MatLab, SQL, Python, and other related technologies. It can also benefit if you have a higher degree in mathematics, computer engineering, or something similar.
Data Architect - A data architect builds data management plans so that databases may be readily connected, consolidated, and secured with the greatest security methods. They also guarantee that the data engineers have access to the best tools and technologies. A profession in data architecture necessitates knowledge of data warehousing, data modelling, extraction, transformation, and loan (ETL), among other things. You should also be familiar with Hive, Pig, and Spark.
Statistician - A statistician, as the name implies, is well-versed in statistical theories and data organisation. They not only extract and provide significant insights from data clusters, but they also contribute to the development of new approaches for engineers to use. A statistician must be passionate about reasoning. They are also proficient in a wide range of database systems, including SQL, data mining, and numerous machine learning technologies.

Conclusion
Given the fast-paced nature of data science, it is critical to keep up with new developments. Data science occupations have expanded and evolved in every field throughout time. Programming languages, software, tools, and technologies that are always growing and becoming more powerful will define data science. To be more industry-relevant and to have a successful data science employment, keep up with market trends. Now that you have a better understanding of how to get work, I'd like to attract your attention to an ed-tech platform that offers intermediate and advanced level certification courses. As the name suggests, Skillslash prioritises skills above academic qualifications, which is most important in this domain. The most important material for students and enthusiasts who want to thrive in this field is condensed into Skillslash courses like Business analytics and Advanced Data Science & AI.

Little rant, please ignore, don’t reblog.
So, I have been diligently applying for jobs for, not an exaggeration, two and a half years. I spent five years working on a PhD because I thought that might help me with achieving my career goals. I poured my heart and soul into it, I wrote good papers, I published one of them, I took advantage of all the teaching opportunities available to me. I did the work, is what I'm saying. It has been very frustrating and humiliating to find that after all of that work, not only can I not get hired in my chosen field, it seems I can’t get hired AT ALL.
I applied to well over 200 jobs, a few every week for, as I said, two and a half years. I wasn’t super picky, just tried to find things that I was interested in and were within my, not inconsiderable, skillset. Academic jobs, museum jobs (I did museum work before starting my PhD, so I actually have experience, I’m not just showing up with the “I have a PhD, I can do any job” attitude that people applying for alt-ac type jobs often get accused of having), clerical jobs, academic support jobs, policy and research jobs, part time, entry level. Whatever I could find that I thought I had about 80 percent of the asked for experience. I had a few things that I didn’t want: 1. I didn’t want to take a job that involved my husband and I keeping separate residences for a prolonged period (what is the point of getting married if I can’t live with my partner, what is the point of a job if I have to spend an excessive amount of my salary paying rent twice.) 2. No war crimes (I’m a military historian, I’m not going to go apply for a company supplying weapons to warlords in Africa). 3. Not the police (See number 2, war crimes abroad or war crimes at home, you use pepper spray on protesters and it’s a no from me, dog.) 4. No call centres (I have anxiety, and telephones are a major trigger, aside from these being terrible jobs generally, I'd have had a panic attack the first day). 5. I didn’t want the same job I had before I went and did my degree, I have more experience, so I want career progression. I think these are fairly reasonable asks.
Over the course of the past 30 months I have had a grand total of 3 interviews. A resounding indictment of the state of the job market and the lie of ‘transferrable skills’ put forward by academia, in my humble opinion.I asked the university for job support and followed their application advice. I have rewritten my CV 14 times, and tailored every single cover letter to the jobs I applied for, no boilerplate stuff, because obviously, if I wasn’t getting hired, it was my fault for just not saying the right magic words. The job incantation.
Friday of last week, I applied for a policy advisor job that was posted on LinkedIn, it involved posting my CV on a searchable interface. In the days since, I have been contacted by no less than 6 agencies begging me to work as a substitute secondary school teacher, no word from the policy position I ACTUALLY applied for. This is so fucking frustrating, because part-time teacher is the job I held immediately after graduating with my BA. I was an after-school art teacher/lunch lady, got paid shit, got treated like worse, and I fucking hated it. It’s been a decade and I have significantly more subject knowledge and experience now, and I DO NOT WANT TO WORK WITH CHILDREN. Or, more accurately, I don’t want to work with unhinged parents.
I‘m tired y’all. I’m taking the job.
After all, it’s the only one I’ve been offered in over two years. But I am so fucking frustrated. I put in so much effort to try to develop a career and I am back at the same place I was ten years ago. Actually worse, because the pay isn’t even as good as what I got at 22. And more than that, this is a job that they’ll literally hire anyone with a pulse and no history of pedophilia. The industry is desperate after people left the profession over pressures from the pandemic. There are scheduled teacher strikes in the upcoming months (am I going to be used as a strike breaker? Because fuck that.).
Anyway, I know that I can put this on my CV and take the pay check and fuck off when I find something better. But I am just so tired and frustrated and humiliated and disillusioned. Like, I know the world doesn't actually operate as a true meritocracy, but I did kind of believe that hard work and intelligence would result in *something*, slightly better pay than I earned with just a BA, at the very least.
And the agencies keep calling me, and sending me texts, and emails. I’ve taken my CV down already because like I said, I’m taking the job. But it feels at this point like I’m being hounded and bullied. “No one will hire you to do anything else!” “This is your only choice.” “We’ll keep calling until you give in.”
I know all of this makes me sound like an entitled bitch. But again, I also feel like I put in so. much. work. and I wanted it to be worth *something*.
Side dish of extra humiliation. My husband, who is also a PhD, applied for one (1) academic teaching position. He was rejected, but the job search committee sent him emails and called him to beg him to apply for another position they had just posted and which they thought he would be a better fit for. He got hired as a full time university lecturer TWO YEARS ago. He hasn’t even finished his PhD. Extra cherry on top, he hates his job and wants out. I would give my left arm to have the job he has.

So I was reblogged in my last post and then I assume blocked so I couldn’t continue the conversation. Here is his reply:
Tumblr media
I edited my previous post so people can find the truth “in case they read this response”, but I want to say more and I’m going to be more rude than I was originally since he’s not going to see it.
“Remedial view of history”????? “Historical misconception”????? All I said was that it annoyed me for people to misuse financial terms by sticking terms specific to certain forms of financial markets in the wrong one.
Stocks imply a secondary market to buy and sell those shares. Stocks are a subset of types of shares, but you can’t call all shares stocks. This is like calling all shoes “high heels”. Yes, some shoes are high heels, but if you start calling every shoe a high heel, readers are going to have a very different picture if you say the character bent down to retie their high heels.
Maybe you are of the group wanting to call a reptilian monster bear, but you can’t get upset when the reader is confused that it has scales and six legs. Though this specific example was done well and was based on the connotation of bears and role in the ecosystem and handled the reader being thrown for a loop because the author did it on purpose. Basically words have definitions and connotations and you as the author have no control over those things. You can play with them, but using the wrong word out of ignorance is just wrong.
I studied accounting in college. I know more about this subject than your average person and thus am more reliable than someone who has only studied the written word. This is part of why I hate that English is an undergraduate degree. It’s a circle jerk for writers. The only thing you know about the world is writing and writers. Yes, research teaches you stuff and not all authors are English majors, but imagine how much better journalists, tv writers, screen writers, authors, etc would be at telling stories if they had to study something else for their undergrad. Our society would be learning a lot more from media if that were the case.
Rant over. I only responded because it is my area of expertise and the post asked for other people’s ideas. Clearly that was a lie as this response treats engagement like something that will contaminate his followers. If June does see this, I’m sorry for being rude but your response was rude and then you prevented me from continuing the conversation so that maybe we could get over it like it was just picking words that were more harsh than you intended and all would be okay even if you disagree.

Congratulations! You waited so patiently <3 This is another Asra x fem!reader for you. NSFW. 5218 words.
Playing With Potions
—————
The late spring morning air was warming up to be a balmy 75 degrees. You had your skirt pulled down and up, tucked in the back of the waistband, forming makeshift shorts. The shop was somewhat quiet, yet the din from the streets made its nimble way through the open windows.
You descend the ladder to the box of ingredients you were unpacking. They had come in the previous evening and Asra had promptly asked you to “organize them later”. Of course you said yes, the two of you shared this shop after all, and the work that came with it.
Asra himself was bustling behind the counter, sweeping the wooden floors free of the dust and fallen ingredients. He stops momentarily to pick up his cup of tea and take a long sip. The jasmine tea's steam billows into his face as he sighs with content pleasure.
The floorboards creak as you step down and Asra looks over at you, gaze soft. "How's the supplies look, dear?" He asks curiously, returning the cup to it’s coaster.
"Ah," you muse, counting the small containers in your hands. "Looks like we will be all set on lizard toes for a while, I think our supply captain read 1000 instead of 100." You can't help but chuckle, it couldn't be helped, at least you wouldn’t have to order more for a while.
Asra's eyes open a little wider, "oh my." He laughs, "I suppose we won’t". He sets his broom to rest against the counter and bare feet pad over to you, his deep-purple eyes examining the products.
You feel his hand settle on your waist subconsciously; a side effect of being close to one another. You breathe in lightly, smelling the sweet scent of coconut and honied biscuits wash over you. Asra's breakfast choice was apparent.
"Mm," you say, turning so the two of you were face to face. "You smell delicious."
Asra smiles, box in his hand now a little less important. "Care for a taste?" He teases, eyes falling to your parted lips. He sets his lizard toes aside and joins his other hand at your waist. You look up at him through your eyelashes and nod.
He is a mere millimeter from sealing the gap between you when the bell of the shop jingles merrily.
"Ah jeez," you huff good in good nature. "I forgot we have jobs and responsibilities."
Asra laughs at your obvious disappointment and steals a small peck. "Unfortunately, we have to eat somehow." He then turns away and walks back to the counter to greet the customer.
The man is short and has a little round face. He looks extraordinarily nervous, and this catches your attention. Yours and Asra's shop is well known in the city and the townsfolk trust their magicians. You hadn't seen anyone come in here looking so nervous, and maybe even a little embarrassed.
"What can I do for you, sir?" Asra asks charmingly, resuming his position behind the counter. Briefly you let yourself admire how nice he looks, comfortable in his shop and expertise, before turning back to the box you were supposed to be dealing with. Not, however, letting your ears miss the conversation.
"I," the man starts, already fumbling with his words. "I, well look. I need help." He finishes plainly, nervously clutching his shirt between his pudgy hands.
Asra smiles kindly, "many do." He says, tilting his head and examining his new client. "Are you here for a card reading? Need to get some answers?"
The man groans as though he is already exhausted with the conversation. "No, I already know what I need. I have the answers. I've heard about this place. The ways you can help people. I live an hour out of the market and I made this trip just to see you."
"We're flattered, for sure." Asra says calmly, you can hear slight annoyance in his tone from all the ambiguity. The visitor is none the wiser though. "To help you though," Asra continues. "I'll need to know what you need."
"Alright I need a potion," the man finally reveals. "One that will help me... with performance." His cheeks are redder than a bell pepper in the sun.
Asra raises a white eyebrow, "performance? Are you an actor?"
"No!" The man's voice came out in a strangled whisper, obviously trying to keep it down. You roll your eyes, chancing a glance over your shoulder. The shop floor wasn't that big, of course you were going to hear everything.
"No," he said again, this time a little more composed. "What I mean is... my sex life performance." The truth comes out. Your visitor wipes his forehead with a dirty rag from his pocket. "My wife and I well.. we've hit a slump," he explains. "And I've heard of potions that can help with that kind of thing. Stuff that will completely change the game." His eyes are shining now, imaging life post-performance potion.
Asra looks uncertain at best. "I see," he starts, shooting you a glance. "That.. does exists. But it takes awhile to make. And the price isn't cheap either."
You shove the last of the crow feathers into their designated drawer while listening. You have never heard of such a potion, but you were also still learning. Asra sounds a little unsure though.
"Price isn't an issue," the man sounds desperate. "I'll pay anything."
Asra sighs, he feels bad for the man wringing his hands before him, practically crying for a cure. "Alright," he finally concedes. "I'll make it, but you'll have to come back in the morning. This kind of thing takes all evening to brew."
Your customer nods vigorously, "I can wait." He says. "Tomorrow morning, yes! I'll be here!" His excitement apparent, he bows a few times while backing out of the door, tripping over his own feet.
The door closes with a sharp bang and the bell rings furiously. Asra blows air out of his mouth so that itf ruffles the curls between his eyes.
"Well," he says after a moment. "A sex performance enhancing potion was not what I was expecting to make today." He rubs his temples, eyes closed and looking thoughtful.
You grin at him from the shelf as you pick up the empty shipping box and rest it on your hip. "That's quite the name, I've never heard of a potion like that."
Asra laughs and opens his beautiful eyes to look at you. "Yes, you'll have to forgive me for not teaching you that kind of magic, it's not the.. safest." He ends uncertainly. "I don't even know how this guy found out about it. It's not talked about much amongst us magicians.. and it's certainly not a common one."
Immediately more questions than your mouth can keep up with flood your brain. "So how did you find out about it? And why isn't it safe?" You ask the two more important ones, eyes following Asra as he finds a piece of paper and quill to use.
He dips his quill in the register's ink well and starts scratching down what you presumed to be ingredients. "I've been studying magic for years, my love." He says simply, "and before you ask, no I haven't used it on myself." He looks up at you, mischief dancing in his pretty eyes. "I'd like to think my sex game is up to par." He adds innocently, licking his lips seductively when your ears tinge pink.
You brush imaginary dirt off your shirt sleeves and huff. "I suppose it's pretty good." You mumble. It almost feels like a lie to just describe it as "pretty good" but Asra doesn't need you to stroke his ego right now. You do that enough falling to pieces beneath him every night.
Asra is well aware of your attempt to keep him humble and laughs lightly. "And to answer your other question," he says, turning back to his ingredient list, "messing with ones body like this can be dangerous. You have to be very precise."
You nod as he explains, it makes sense.
Potions are always brewed in pots over a magic fire so you put yourself to work, removing a medium sized iron pot from a hook on the wall and carrying it to a fire stand. Asra is busy himself, opening various drawers and adding seemingly random ingredients to a basket he has looped over his arm. Iris petals, newt eyeball, and some shimmering gold flakes. You smile watching him, your gorgeous magician; smart and able.
In no time at all Asra has a bubbling pot of sweet smelling liquid stirring before him. You stand beside him, observing curiously.
"Why are you wearing gloves?" You ask, taking note of the large leather gloves that clad all the way up your lover's forearm.
Asra continues to stir and looks over at you, happy to hear your eagerness to learn. "I can't risk even a drop of this touching my skin. It's so strong, and will immediately absorb into anyone's skin, leaving them..." He shakes his head and trails off, amused. "That's why it has to brew so long, to burn off some of the potency."
Your mouth opens in amazement, taken aback by the idea. This is the real deal you decide, stepping back a couple inches in precaution. After watching the potion bubble for a couple more minutes you stretch and grab the watering can sitting by the floor of the door.
"I'm going to water the plants," you inform Asra, waving your hand briefly until the can is full of cool, crisp water. Gods knows there are at least three dozen inside and outside of the shop.
Asra is humming in confirmation that he heard you as you open the shop door to the plants hanging outside. You don't get very far before you're blindsided by a streak of purple darting through your legs.
Escape!
"Faust?!" You yelp, dancing around the squirming snake as she winds her way under and into the open shop. A loud, booming bark makes you jump again. This time a large hound dog is rounding the tight corner from the side street and barreling full speed towards you.
All hell breaks loose. The water can is up in the air, crashing wildly into the side of the building. You are thrown back onto the dusty floor and a mass of fur and teeth race past you, paying no mind to your yelling.
Help!
Faust is racing around the floor, narrowly avoiding the jaws of the angry dog she seemed to have aggravated. There's a large crash from inside and you cringe, hearing bottles break and wood crunch. You look back, scared at what you might find.
The shop is a disaster, papers strewn, vials broken, and potion pot toppled. Asra is groaning on the floor, obviously doing no better than the rest. You glance at him worriedly, taking quick notice of the potion he had been making spilled everywhere, even on him.
You snap your fingers and the dog's growl, who was cornering Faust by the bookshelf, turns into a whimper as you lift him up with your magic. "I'm sorry pooch," you sigh, "but we can't have you eating our friend." With a wave of your wrist the hound is out the door and down the street in an instant. The hinges creak and bell rings as the door is once again closed to outside.
Thank you!
Faust wriggles happily, red eyes glowing in relief. You guess she got up to some trouble with the local fauna. She slithers up the stairs quickly, leaving you to look around at the ruined shop.
"Ah, fuck," Asra's words cut through your thoughts like a knife. He's laying flat on the floor, chest heaving as though he just ran a marathon. Sweat glistens on his tan skin, covering him from head to toe.
You step over the broken bottles and kneel at his side. "My love?" You ask, unsure of what to do. It was obvious what had happened, it didn't take an expert. The potion that was supposed to be for your customer was now soaked into Asra's glowing skin.
Asra opens his eyes and you swallow hard. You know that look, and it nearly makes you start trembling where you sit. Lust is prevalent, clouding Asra's eyes until they're a dark amethyst color.
"You-" you start to speak but are cut off by Asra sitting up abruptly. His face is close to yours and his breath washes over your lips, hot and wanton. He looks positively desperate, just the sight of you sitting before him doing wonders.
"Please," Asra's voice comes out low and husky, he watches your chest rise and fall quickly as a result. "Can I please have you, right now."
You could almost call him asking like that soft and innocent, if it wasn't for the raw, hungry look he was giving you. His eyes were traveling everywhere across your body, leaving an invisible line that you could almost feel burning into your skin. Your lips parted and you let out a soft gasp, the power that kind of look had over you was astonishing. You shifted your legs under you subtly, feeling the result of the hot atmosphere low in your stomach.
"Tsk, tsk," you had to tease for a moment. "Closing the shop at midday for some fucking?" You reach up and cup Asra's cheek, feigning uncertainty. His skin on your fingertips burns white hot and you have to hide your amazement.
Asra's eyes narrow, he knew you too well. With a quick flick of his wrist you hear the deadbolt on the door slide into place. It's only a second later and both of his hands have found a place on either side of your hips.
"Why do you torment me?" he asks, pulling you close so your legs straddle him. "Can't you see I'm getting enough of that from this damn mistake of a potion?" His words are almost shaky, as though he can barely speak anymore. He presses his hips up to meet yours, and a soft sigh escapes his lips as he finally gets a little friction.
You dig your nails into his shoulders and gasp, the feeling of Asra so obviously in need is enough to make anyone go wild.
You can't resist grinding down lightly and Asra's eyes practically roll back at the sensation. "How can I say no to such a pretty face," you whisper, completely in love with his reaction.
That was enough for Asra and without added words he gathers you up in his strong arms and lifts you both. Your head falls back pleasurably when his lips find your neck. It only takes a few quick steps on his part to bring the two of you into the plush back room.
The purple cushions lining the cozy futon sink in gently as your back hits the mattress. The room has a slight pleasing haze as sandalwood incense burns at the table. The smell washes over your senses and a new wave of sensuality comes over the room.
Asra's hands hold you firmly as his lips continue to press lovingly into your skin. He hovers over you, one leg pressed between your legs, causing your hips to involuntarily move along his thigh.
"I need you out of these clothes," Asra groans, lips being stopped at your chest where your shirt has suddenly become a hindrance. He's already tugging at the hem, untucking the loose fabric from your waistband. You raise yourself to your elbows and help him pull the shirt over your head. At once it is thrown over Asra's shoulder and his eyes are set on your bare skin, drinking in the sight of his lover.
You smile at his admiration and lay back again, stretching your arms above your head and arching your back. You feel his hands on your stomach, traveling up to rest on your breasts. Your skin prickles with desire, flesh lighting on fire from his ministrations.
"How did I get so lucky," he breathes out, looking down at you with a look filled with love and passion. He rests the tips of his fingers on your nipples and swirls them lightly, leaving you to twist in torturous pleasure beneath his touch. "Everything about you is beautiful." Asra continues to flatter, lowering his head so his curls tickle your stomach. He licks a long line from the dip of your hip up to the valley between your breasts.
After a few moments of tasting your supple skin he moves his hands to the top of your skirt and tugs. You lift your hips in compliance and the fabric slides down your legs easily. Asra licks his lips as your body is finally fully presented to him.
"I could feast on you," he announces, voice lowered with need. "And I wouldn't go hungry in a lifetime." These words he whispers into your inner thigh, they tickle your skin softly.
You watch with bated breath as the man before you adores his lover. It's hard to keep your moans controlled as you feel his sinfully good tongue lick you in a way that can only be described as ecstasy.
Asra shifts into a more comfortable position, lying on his stomach and he brings your legs to lay comfortably over his shoulders. You shudder as you feel his hot breath flutter over your dripping slit. He doesn't waste anymore time and lowers his face to enjoy you.
Your thighs squeeze his head lightly as your body arches in response. Asra is devouring you as though you were a feast and it was the only meal he is to have in a lifetime. He grips your legs tightly to keep you from moving and covers your slit with his mouth, sucking for a moment on the tight nub at the top. He groans happily into your skin before moving down to lick your hole.
"Oh please, yes," you run your trembling hand through his hair and raise your hips up to meet his greedy mouth. He laps short, quick strokes first, stimulating you into madness.
After a moment he slows his tongue down to swirl languidly, looking up at you. You make eye contact and groan at the erotic scene of him eating you out. "That mouth of yours is too skilled for its own good," you whisper, fingers digging into his scalp, trying desperately to savor every swipe of his tongue.
Asra smiles against your folds. "I live to make you feel good, my dear." He says, pausing a moment. "You intoxicate me. Your smell, your taste. I couldn't get enough even if I had all the time in the world." He presses his lips on each one of your thighs with hot, open mouth kisses.
You blush at his words, feeling amazing under his praise. "Come here," you command softly, pulling on Asra's hair lightly to guide him back up your body. He kisses every inch of skin he passes before finally reaching your lips.
"Mm," he hums, taking your face in his hands. "But these lips, are like the finest honey in Vesuvia." He lifts your head so your mouths meet. It's a hot and feverish kiss, full of staggering amounts of love.
You press your body into his and relish in the feeling of kissing Asra. Your mouths are opened to one another and your tongues meet in fiery unison. While you enjoy the kiss you allow your hands to roam. Your fingers find his shirt buttons and you start to undo them as best you can, only a little distracted. It takes just a minute and you sigh happily into his mouth when you finally remove the annoying clothing.
You part a moment to admire the divinity of his body; prostrated before you. He was calling himself the lucky one, but you could probably make a pretty good argument for it being the other way around. He looked absolutely glorious in the hazy glow of the room.
As you reach for the waistband of his pants and rest your fingers playfully on the skin above it Asra breaks out in goosebumps at the fluttering feel of your touch.
"Ah," he breaths out, raising himself to his knees and closing his eyes. Clearly, he's enjoying the attention finally being on him.
"You are the one with the potion affecting them." You say, drawing a line from one hip to another. "It'd almost be criminal to ignore you for any longer." Your eyes fall to the bulge straining under Asra's pants, just begging to be free. A smile plays across your lips as his breaths quickens significantly.
"I.. wouldn't complain." He finally manages to say in a strained tone.
You smile, maybe a little too satisfied, and hook your fingers under the band. "I know." You chuckle, pulling. The trousers catch a moment on Asra's hardened length before slipping down to his knees. You take time to admire the sight before you, licking your lips. Asra is panting slightly, looking down at you lustfully as your eyes graze over him.
He grabs your head on either side and looks into your eyes. "Please," is all he can croak out.
You swallow thickly and you feel yourself dampen even more at his begging words. “I’d like nothing more" you say; need dripping heavily from your words. You lean forward and kiss the tip of his leaking slit lightly. Asra's body shivers with pleasure when your soft lips meet his aching shaft.
You take a breath before closing your mouth around his tip. Your cheeks hollow and you suck in deeply, enjoying the small sounds of pleasure emitting from Asra's lips. He groans even deeper as you finally swallow down his whole length, tip sliding down the back of your throat.
"Ah fuck, baby," he stutters through gritted teeth, fingers threading through your hair. He thrusts into your mouth without hesitation, reveling in the way you feel around him. The pace is fast and vicious, leaving no time for extra room for breathing.
You choke back your gasps and feel the involuntary tears prick at the corners or your eyes. Your hands fall to your sides as you let Asra use your mouth how he pleased. Licentious noises ring around the room as he sinks his member into your mouth relentlessly, moaning at each stroke and the salacious feelings that come over him.
His grip tightens in your hair as he pounds into your face. You open your mouth as widely as you can and take him in, ignoring the slight pain of labored breathing. The feeling of being used so mercilessly is intoxicating, and you close your eyes, enjoying the pleasure that overtakes you.
With a loud pop he pulls out of your drooling mouth, leaving you to be the one groaning in disappointment.
"I'm sorry love," he huffs dazedly, need heavy on his features. "But if I don't stop this now I'm cumming in your mouth."
"That doesn't sound so bad," you complain, sticking your tongue out so Asra can view how much you want it. His eyes darken considerably and he looks ready to break.
He takes a breath in sharply, steadying himself before holding your face gently in his hand. "As much as I want you fuck your face, that pussy of yours I know is dripping for me and I have to comply." He chuckles, running his thumb along your lip.
You whimper at his words, practically climaxing at the suggestion. You meet his eyes in a needy manner and nod. "Oh, Asra," you start, already seeing excitement flit across his face at the mention of his name. "I want you more than I can even describe to you."
To this Asra inhales sharply, thumb still hooked in your mouth. "Tell me how you want me," he says, barely able to contain his own desire.
"I want you to fuck me from behind," you begin, knowing exactly how to please his ears. "I'm going to cry and moan, and beg you for relief but you will know better." His eyes widen in ecstasy but you continue anyway. "I want you to give everything you can to me, without holding back."
Asra seems to snap right in front of you. His features immediately seem to plead for consolation. "You'll get what you ask for." He growls, fingers tightening in your mouth. You lick his thumb seductively and the action throws him over the edge.
Asra's hands fly to your waist and hold you firmly, you're flipped over; ass to the heavens greeting him. He swallows at the sight and digs both palms into the flesh, enjoying the feeling immensely. "So needy and ready for me," he groans, finger finding your entrance and slipping in easily. You gulp at the warmth of having fingers enter you. Asra is unrelenting and curls them cruelly against your walls.
"Just fuck me already!" You cry, unable to hide your desires anymore. You hear Asra laugh behind you, yet despite this you know he is dying to sink himself into you.
"Alright, alright." He concedes, taking your hips in his hands. "If you insist."
You feel his tip slide against your slit and shudder, craving the feeling of him inside you. It doesn't take more than a moment before you feel him start to enter you. You lay your head down, turning your face so you can watch Asra take you from behind.
His lips are parted in a silent moan as he relishes in the feeling of your walls around him. You sigh softly as he fully sheaths himself in you, a small tremor passing over your body from the pleasure. One moment, two moments pass as you both bask in the feeling of being connected.
"Give me your hands," he commands, slowly sliding in and out of you, giving no care to his agonizingly slow pace. Soft gasps are falling from your lips as you try to register his request.
Carefully, you cross your arms behind your back. It's no use to keep the blush at bay as you take in the dirty scene. Your face is pressed to the pillows, unable to move much as Asra takes your wrists and pins them to your back. Your ass is raised in the air to meet his rhythmic thrusting.
Asra grips one of your thighs with a free hand and quickens the pace a little. Your eyes shut tightly as your body responds. You can feel his tip hit deep inside of you with each snap of his hips. It's unrelenting and you have to catch yourself from begging for more.
You feel the fingers around your wrist tighten a bit as Asra's breathing speeds up behind you. You know that he's set on giving you as much painfully slow torture as he can manage himself, but you also know that potion is working against him. There's nothing he wants more than to let go and pound you into the mattress.
"Baby," you choke out, words bouncing along with your bodies. "I know you want to fuck me so good right now." Your voice is deep with seduction. "Please just fill me up like I know you want to." You finish your plea, watching his face with satisfaction. His eyes are darkened with desire. He takes just a few more strokes before slowly to a stop inside you.
"You asked for it," he warns. He only takes a moment to let go of your wrists and flips your body so you're facing him. He cages you in on either side and licks his lips as he stares into your eyes. His hungry mouth meets yours in a kiss full of fire. You can melt into it for only a second before you feel him grab your hips and pull you flush against him; Your cries drowned by his lips as he sets an erratic pace, skin meeting with loud slaps.
"Fucking hell," he groans, still kissing you between words. "You feel like heaven on earth. You're so hot, and I can feel your insides squeezing me." He explains, hot breath falling over your face. Your cheeks burn at his descriptions.
You loop your arms around his neck and press your chest into his. Your skin meets, shining with sweat and burning from love. Asra presses back, savoring the feeling of your nipples brushing against his.
You start to feel that familiar blossom of unreleased pleasure pool in your lower stomach. Asra's shaft is hitting you just right, sending jolts of satisfaction right to your core.
"Oh-" you stop and whine pleasantly when he shifts angles. "Fuck. Please yes, don't stop!" Your arms drop and nails dip into his biceps and you grit your teeth from the hot delight searing through your body.
"I couldn't even If i wanted to," Asra answers, words strained as his grasp on himself starts to crumble. His breath is leaving his lips in short pants now and you can almost see the resolve to hold on slip away before your eyes.
He falls into you, wrapping his arms tightly around your waist and thrusts into you with all of the strength he can muster. You bury your face in his neck and take hold of his hair. You can feel Asra's body shuddering to not let go.
You bring your lips to his ear and bite his lobe. "Won't you come for me sweetheart? Please empty yourself in me." You whisper.
Asra takes in a sharp breath and you hear him choke at your words. They were enough to push him over the edge and he rams into you with a low, strangled cry.
Your head falls back and your mouth opens in a silent scream as Asra lets himself go in you. Your legs shake violently of their own accord as you feel your orgasm wash over you, leaving your body in euphoric fire.
Asra's lips immediately find yours as you ride out your orgasms together. You kiss him passionately, all of your senses in overdrive. His kisses are soft, and sweet, a clear declaration of his love. Happiness rushes in like a flood as you enjoy the afterglow. After a minute Asra removes himself from you and joins you in laying down, sides still heaving from the activities.
"My dear, how I love you." He says with a smile, running his fingers in slow, soft circles on your stomach.
You turn on your side and look into his eyes. He looked content, and his cheeks were dimpled from his growing grin.
"I love you too," you return, hand falling into his. His skin was still warm. The two of you lay there for a while, out of breath and simply enjoying the presence of one another.
Eventually, Asra sits up and looks down at you with humor in his eyes. "Well, I think I can tell our buyer that we did an extensive review of his product and it does, in fact, work."
Your face breaks into a smile and you laugh at Asra's words. "Oh goodie, I'm sure he'll be thrilled to hear all about it."

Might you have any Raeda headcanons you'd be willing to share?
Oh shit I didn’t see that you sent this to me until now oh man.
But you better believe I’ve got some Raeda headcanons >:D
[Spoilers for Eda’s Requiem and Knock Knock Knockin on Hooty’s Door! Also a little bit of a character study regarding those eps lol]
Raine is constantly in awe of Eda. Eda’s desire to learn every kind of magic and buck tradition and societal norms sometimes leaves them breathless. When they were young, Raine always admired Eda for the clever pranks she’d pull using different kinds of magic despite being in the potions track. They also admired Eda’s boldness when it came to standing up for herself and her sister.
Eda found Raine to be interesting considering they were in the bard track despite their stage fright, but once Eda watched them perform and saw how they’d lose themself in the music was, no pun intended, magical. They had a fierce grip on Eda’s heart and she didn’t know why; she was fascinated by Raine and made it her goal to be best friends with this oddly shy bard (which she achieved pretty quickly).
After Eda’s curse caused her to unintentionally disable her dad, she was terrified of what it would mean if she was caught off guard like that again. So she started putting up walls. No stressful situations, no hard conversations, no sudden bright lights or loud sounds that she wasn’t the cause of. If she could be in control of her surroundings, she could control the Owl Beast. The elixir she’d discovered that could keep the curse’s side effects at bay helped maintain her sanity and her chill demeanor, but Raine was able to tell she was always slightly on edge. Raine knew about the curse; after Eda had transformed on the Grudgby field the first time everyone had been talking about it, but they didn’t know the extent of it. Everyone just said she’d turned into a monster and then fled; but what kind of monster?? But every time Raine tried to get more information about it, Eda would brush it off and change the subject. It broke their heart watching Eda brush off something that was clearly bothering her, and eventually it all came to a head. She was lying more and more often to Raine and they just couldn’t take it anymore. What happened to their best friend??? Why would she lie to them????? It was maddening and all the frustration and aching in their heart became too much. They needed to focus on something other than Eda. They weren’t nearly as bold as Eda, even after all these years, so they joined the Bard Coven in order to start teaching and building a career for themself. They’d happily welcome Eda back if she’d just tell them what was going on. But it never happened. Burying themself into their work and then, eventually, into the BAtTs helped keep the heartache at bay, but only sometimes.
Eda and Raine caught glimpses of each other as the years passed. They’d spot one another in the market or Raine would see a flash of unmistakable ginger hair dashing around a corner; sometimes they’d hear Eda yelling at some Coven guards and quietly hope she’d make her escape. Eda would occasionally see posters advertising a performance starring Raine; she’d either buy a ticket or sneak in just to listen to them play again. She could never stay for very long though because listening to them play made her heart hurt so much she’d be at risk of turning into the Owl Beast. Raine grabbed one of Eda’s wanted posters and keeps it hidden under some other paperwork in their desk, pulling it out sometimes and going over every detail of the artist’s rendition of her. One day, a new wanted poster came out - this one with a weird skull dog now part of the image and the bounty having increased significantly. Raine would always smirk whenever they saw the new version, although they were alarmed the first time they saw her drawn with all-grey hair. When had that happened? They weren’t that old yet, right??
The day Eda saved the BAtTs and figured out Raine’s secret was maybe the best day Raine had had in years. Their best friend was talking to them again, helping them with their plot. Raine didn’t bother pushing Eda about the last 20 years; their last conversation proved enough that Eda didn’t like it when people pried. But Eda had become not just older, but so much more kind and open. To a degree that sort of shocked Raine. When they asked Eda if she had nothing to lose and Eda took their hand, it was like they’d gone back in time. As if they were both 20 again and daydreaming about a world they’d create for themselves where covens weren’t there to shackle witches down and stage fright didn’t exist; where Eda’s curse never happened and they could stay there on that hill forever.
Eda of course was warring with her own emotions during all of this; she was under the impression that everyone in her life was leaving her again. And not because she was pushing them away this time, but of their own volition. She got her big sister back only for her to go back home to their parents after just a few weeks. She overheard King talk about leaving to find his dad and her apprentice - the first person to ever break down all of Eda’s defenses and show her how to love again - was constantly working on ways to go back to her own home. Eda would be left with Hooty and Owlbert and absolutely nobody else and that hurt so much more than she cared to admit. So when Raine showed up in the town square with their BAtT mask on, using their magic to turn some coven guards into bumbling fools, Eda was a little shell-shocked. The first person to leave her of their own volition was right there in front of her and needed help. So she helped them. And when she became invested in their plots to free wild witches, she felt like she was a teenager again, plotting out pranks with Raine in her secret shortcuts room at Hexside, blushing at every interaction they had because even after all this time, Raine was still Raine. Her Rainstorm. It was like she was starting over, like the last 20 years had faded away, except they hadn’t. Because Luz and King were competing in a race that she needed to be there for. Her past and her present were all different types of painful but finding Raine like this again gave her so much hope! Until she realized she wouldn’t see the end of that race, not if it meant stopping Belos. And she was ready for that, ready for the pain to just stop already, but Raine wouldn’t let her.
Losing Raine again was so much worse the second time. But what they said stayed with her and Eda needed to get back to King and Luz. So when she got back and discovered they’d lost, of course her first thought was to help them. Anything to take her mind off of what she’d just lost. And when King announced that he wasn’t leaving at all, he was legally changing his name? She was “stuck” with him forever? That was too much and she just couldn’t hold it in anymore. Someone wasn’t leaving her. In fact he was legally binding himself to her. No one was leaving, at least not any time soon. Eda definitely still cried more that night after King and Luz had gone to bed.
In the future, Eda and Raine agree to start from scratch: Eda explains the curse to them in detail, all the things she’s learned about it over the years and specifically with Luz and King and Hooty’s help. She explains that Lilith was the one that gave it to her to begin with and why (Raine is appalled like???? Raine specifically worked with Lilith in that last year before they had been made head of the Bard Coven?? And Lilith showed maybe irritation at best at the mention of Eda, so like?? What the fuck???). Eda also explains how she’s come to accept the curse as something that’s part of her and the history the Owl Beast has that she got a glimpse of which is super intriguing to Raine. Also Harpy Eda was a thing which was maybe the most surprising part of it all.
Raine in the meantime tells Eda about their time working their way up the ranks of the Bard Coven, how they met each of the BAtTs and recruited them, the façade they had to maintain to stay on track to become the head of the Bard Coven (something that greatly impressed Eda given Raine’s history with being an awkward actor).
Eda introduces Raine to Luz and King to which both of them start shooting rapidfire questions at them and overwhelm them pretty quickly. Eda has to shoo the two away before Raine just bursts out laughing, saying something about how they’re definitely Eda’s kids (all of them blush while Raine is laughing). Luz is just as fascinated with Raine’s Bard magic as Eda was when they first met and the similarities between the two are striking. Raine tells Eda as much later on and Eda begins gushing about what a great apprentice Luz is and everything she’s done during her time on the Boiling Isles.
They fall easily back into dating once they reconnect properly and everything’s calmed down a little - Raine will still be humming a piece they’re working on and suddenly grab Eda and begin dancing to the tune, Eda laughing the whole time and making their heart soar. Eda will still play with Raine’s earring when they’re cuddled up together just chatting. Raine will start asking Eda again for her opinion on musical pieces they’re working on and Eda will make suggestions along with some jokes or snide commentary. They both still love watching the clouds overhead on their hill, sometimes playing music, sometimes just holding hands.
Raine loves watching Eda interact with Luz and King. They love watching how easily Eda loves them and how much she’s changed since they first broke up. Once they’re alone together, in a moment total admiration for how far they’ve come, Raine tells Eda they love her. Eda immediately kisses them and starts crying, repeating Raine’s words back to them and mumbling about how she’ll never let Raine leave ever again.
A canon Non-binary love interest to a main character that uses They/Them pronouns??? In my kids cartoon???? It’s more likely than you think.
Anyways I fucking love Raine and I love how much Eda and Raine love each other and I can’t wait to see what ends up happening with Them™️

could you go a little more into detail on your thoughts regarding that nyt article? i really enjoyed it, its wild how people will act for literally 0 reason
i think that the lady who donated her kidney is an insane narcissist with too much time on her hand who literally could not stand to see someone else getting attention she thought she was tangentially entitled to, and the woman who wrote the short story was a second brand of self-absorbed who literally lied about the source of her ideas and put a huge black mark on her career for no reason.
the thing that really got me was this quote
Larson put it more bluntly to me: “Her letter, it wasn’t art! It was informational. It doesn’t have market value. It’s like language that we glean from menus, from tombstones, from tweets. And Dorland ought to know this. She’s taken writing workshops.”
in conjunction with this quote
Among her friends, Larson clearly explained the influence of Dorland’s letter. In January 2016, she texted two friends: “I think I’m DONE with the kidney story but I feel nervous about sending it out b/c it literally has sentences that I verbatim grabbed from Dawn’s letter on FB. I’ve tried to change it but I can’t seem to — that letter was just too damn good. I’m not sure what to do … feeling morally compromised/like a good artist but a shitty person.”
so Dorland's letter wasn't art and had no creative value, but somehow ALSO served the purpose of aiding Larson's narrative SO well that Larson herself had trouble changing the phrasing while maintaining the impact? Insane hypocrisy.
Every quote of Larson's is FILLED with pretention about The Grand Right of An Artist To Suck Up Inspiration From The Mundane World Around Them And Transformatively Spin It Into Gold but she could not even adequately transform this one single letter. Which in itself would have been fine if she had owned up to anything at any point.
My thing is - I really hate lies, like, pathologically so. Any sort of insincerity makes me absolutely livid. Liars and hypocrites are my least favorite people on the planet and Larson made herself into both here. I don't think anything Larson did with the letter (once she changed the wording) went beyond fair use, but she absolutely obliterated every ounce of sympathy I had for her in this story by lying again and again and again even after there were literal records of her own email that proved she were lying.
Here's what I said about it on twitter.
Tumblr media
This literally did not have to be a problem. Obviously Dorland is a self-obsessed nightmare of a woman. Here's an extremely fun quote from the article that I think says really everything we need to know about Dorland.
Dorland is not shy about explaining how her past has afforded her a degree of moral clarity that others might not come by so easily.
You can just picture it can't you? The kind of self-imposed sainthood and the resulting TORRENTIAL output of sanctimonious, condescending garbage. The kind of person who treats everyone around them like a class of kindergartners they're teaching. This lady deserved to have a story written critiquing her brand of narcissism. So I don't understand why Larson had to lie about it. She gained literally nothing by lying. I don't think just because you're lying about someone who fucking sucks makes it okay. The thing about people who fucking suck is you don't need to lie about them because they already fucking suck. Dorland is obviously a complete basket case of a person but she was not somehow Crazy for rightfully picking up on the fact that Larson stuck her facebook post word for word in a short story and then openly lied about it. She was crazy for everything else about this.
And the fact that even when confronted with absolute bulletproof evidence that she Did actively pull from Dorland's post and not just "get inspired by it's vocabulary" Larson just pretended like that did not happen and tried to act like being a Person of Color with an Artistic Vision means that suddenly basic concepts of proper attribution are stifling her work.
literally an r/aita thread where everyone is the asshole. incredible
