Among the other nine planets, Mars is the most macho. The Yunanis worshipped Mars as the God of Agriculture, whereas the Romans worshipped him as the God of Warfare and Battles.

March 2024 Important Dates
Tumblr media
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's March Forecast.
February recap: The conjunction between Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Pluto in Aquarius conjunction has aligned with new tech developments. The Venus-Pluto conjunction heralded OpenAI's new text-to-video generator and the ensuing discussion on its potential political, labor, and artistic effects. Mercury was conjunct Mars and Venus trine Jupiter (with Virgo Moon completing a grand trine & involving the Saturn-Pisces opposition) the day Neuralink tried its first human subject. How will different parts of society react to further developments in cybernetics and body augmentation? Past occurrences of astrological alignments can help us make predictions. Advances in robotics during a major transit in the humanistic sign of Aquarius will challenge us to redefine what it means to be human. On February 10th, around the Mars-Pluto conjunction, a group of people set a self-driving delivery car on fire in San Francisco. These robo-taxis are likely going to increase when Jupiter enters Gemini, and indeed a few companies are poised to launch in other cities.
In other Pluto in Aquarius news, last episode Chris noted there's work in using X-rays to ancient scrolls from Herculaneum and Pompeii that can't be opened without incurring damage. On February 5th, the day of the Mercury-Pluto conjunction, the first images of one of these scrolls have been made available. This fits with Mercury-Pluto themes of lost or buried information coming to light. On the same day King Charles of England's cancer diagnosis was announced--an announcement of mortality. We also had the first privately-funded lunar vehicle landing. Pluto makes large thing imperceptibly small and makes microscopic things enormous.
In Saturn in Pisces news, in 2020 Chris predicted success for Miley Cyrus's Saturn return and indeed she won the Grammy. This also marks part 2 of the Dune movie--the book was written under Saturn in Pisces as well. Other influential sci-fi & fantasy stories were written under Saturn in Pisces like Lord of the Rings, and our hosts predict that a new classic will be born during this transit. In other Mars-Pluto news, we have ambiguous stories about nuclear weapons and Israel's announcement of storming Rafah. Unfortunately the upcoming eclipses (connected to 6 months ago) do not bode well for cessation of warfare. On February 15th, farmers in India have begun striking again, and doctors in South Korea walked out on the job to protest working conditions--Mars in Aquarius squaring Jupiter-Uranus in Taurus reactivates these ongoing labor disputes.
Our hosts recorded the forecast before the perfect Mercury-Saturn-Sun conjunction in Pisces hit on February 28th (the day I'm typing this!), which is one of the major influences over the first half of March. The other big influence is Mars-Venus in Aquarius. In the mutable, indeterminate sign of Pisces, Saturn doesn't bring us as much order as he did in the previous two signs of his domicile.
March 2nd/3rd - Venus square Uranus Venus in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus--either a change is needed to bring us peace and pleasure, or something is disrupting our pleasure. Austin says either way, this placement prompts us for significant changes. Venus's is overcoming Uranus (earlier in the zodiac, has the upper hand), so we can make good use of this placement if we shake things up a little bit in relationships.
March 9th/10th - Mars square Uranus, Mercury enters Aries Mercury has entered the sign where he'll retrograde, stretching what would normally be a transit of a few weeks into 2 months. Mercury in Mars's sign amplifies the wishes of the red planet, who's doing some pretty interesting stuff. In a firey Mars-ruled sign, Mercury wants something practical to do. This clarity and decisiveness will be welcome after all the indecision of Pisces. However, the North Node is in Aries, with the power to obscure things even when it's not blocking the Sun's light. There will be an eclipse here in April, so the pathfinding is tricky. We'll definitely be doubling back as Mercury prepares to retrograde. Sometimes you need to dive into things while you have the vision, yet before you have the rationale. Austin likens it to clearing your way through thick jungle terrain to determine whether a route is viable--it's only by going forward that you find out that you're on the wrong path, and thus, where the right one is. Mercury retrogrades teach us to learn from our mistakes--third time's the charm!
Mars follows Venus's path, and along with Mercury, weighs heavily on the upcoming lunation. Mars-Uranus connotes surprise attacks, sudden severing, unexpected explosions. Internally this can make us feel restless and impulsive. Keywords: recklessness and action without planning. Think of a cigarette being dropped near an oil drum. Technology disruptions are also likely.
March 10th - Pisces New Moon
Tumblr media
Saturn and Neptune are close by to this lunation, and though Mars-Uranus is weighing in, Mars in particular is ultimately reporting to Saturn's broader plan. As Neptune and Saturn approach their conjunction, we'll seek escapism and the imaginal as a respite for our fatigue. We need to step out from being immersed in these waters. Mercury conjoined Neptune on the 8th before he left Pisces, leaving the imprint of confused or empathic communications in the air as the lunar cycle resets for the month.
March 11th/12th - Venus enters Pisces From here she builds up to a conjunction with Saturn at 11° on the 21st. As the sign of her exaltation, she's better able to bring harmony and reconciliation in our relationships, though Saturn brings a cool distance to our relationships. She'll conjoin Neptune in this sign next month. We may also see some kind of artwork that resonates with people on a deep emotional level.
March 17th - Sun conjoins Neptune, Electional chart
Tumblr media
At around 1PM local time, this chart has Cancer rising with a dignified Moon in Cancer, applying to a trine with Venus at 7Pisces and sextile with Jupiter in Taurus in the 11th house. This chart occurs before things go crazy later in the month and is the best time to start something new. It's especially good for friends, groups and alliances and doing new things outside of the box.
March 18th - Mercury enters shadow (not pictured) Mercury hits 15Aries, the point he'll retrograde back to, at the same time as he conjoins the North Node. This is a precursor of things that will occur in April.
March 19th/20th - Sun enters Aries This puts the Sun in the same time as the Node that will eclipse it.
March 21st - Venus conjoins Saturn Saturn and Venus bring a sort of melancholy beauty to things. Though we may see them at odds for signifying discipline and love respectively, Saturn does exalt in Venus's sign of Libra. In the sign of Pisces empathy is especially relevant--think understanding each other's feelings because we've suffered the same things. Nostalgia is another important keyword.
March 22nd - Mars enters Pisces This puts him on track to contact to Saturn (exact cojunction c. April 10th)--a dangerous combination. Along with the Sun in Aries and Mercury slowing, this represents the event horizon of major developments for the rest of the month and early April. This will be the first Mars-Saturn conjunction in Pisces; note the Aquarius conjunctions in 2020 and later years coincided with the COVID lockdown(s). Sea lane transit will likely slam on the brakes as well, and current maritime conflicts will see big developments. More figuratively we may ask "where are we going, and what dangers lie ahead?"
March 25th - Libra Lunar Eclipse
Tumblr media
For about a week things have been building up to this eclipse. Its twin will be visible across much of the United States in early April, meanwhile a comet will start to be visible in the night sky. Mars in Pisces copresent Saturn weighs heavily on this eclipse. The pace of events starts moving quickly and chaotically around eclipse season, and things start to move rapidly up or down, especially for prominent people & companies. This eclipse represents a culmination or next chapter of events started in October--major beginnings and major endings (in the Libra house of your chart for individuals). The picture may begin to get clearer. It's not the last installment, but things are clearly underway. Unfortunately this does not bode well for ongoing global conflicts. We can't see clearly with the eclipse, meanwhile Mercury is slowing down about to station retrograde, while right on the North Node. Combined with dangerous Mars-Saturn, it's a bit of a crazy situation. Jupiter's approach to a conjunction with Uranus indicates some surprising, amazing wins, and some people will find unexpected good fortune once the smoke clears. However, not everyone will be able to count on winning the Jupiter lottery here. (Later in April, when Jupiter conjoins Uranus exactly we can expect some kind of freedom and liberation).
The two weeks between these eclipses will be very active, dramatic, and chaotic, with beginnings and endings galore. In the Indian astrology dasha timing technique, the US Sibly chart has been in a time period ruled by Rahu (north node) since the early 2010s, making any eclipses visible in that country especially important to it. This is a time to be flexible!

Energy Update: December 2022
Tumblr media
December is a "9" universal month [12 (December) + 6 (2022) = 18 = 1+8 = 9] in a "6" universal year. 9 is the number of endings and completions which is very appropriate for our last month in 2022. Additionally, this numerological energy works well with the astrological aspects of December which are all about evaluation and ending cycles.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Sagittarius, retrograde Mars in Gemini, Jupiter and retrograde Neptune in Pisces, Saturn in Aquarius, retrograde Uranus in Taurus, and Pluto in Capricorn. By month's end, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus will have entered Capricorn and Jupiter will have entered Aries. Additionally, Mercury will have begun its fourth and final retrograde of the year and Neptune will have stationed direct.
All eyes will be on three major astrological energies: our deepening Mars retrograde, Mercury's final retrograde which will conjunct Venus and complete a cycle that has been ongoing all year, and Jupiter's re-entry across the astrological divide between Pisces (the last sign in the zodiac) and Aries (the first sign in the zodiac). We have things that need doing - and moreover - things that need ending and wrapping but - but retrograde Mars isn't going to make the doing easy for us.
The Nitty Gritty
As often happens with endings, there's little easy astrology during the month of December.
The week of December 1st has a lot of tough stuff to get through both before and after the demarcation of the change in months. Mercury and Venus, who are sitting conjunct one another in Sagittarius both oppose retrograde Mars in Gemini all week which means that the energy is going to be quick moving and personal. There may be a truth that needs to come forward and be examined (both Gemini and Sag are concerned with truthiness versus "the lie" in some way) but it is certainly not one that anybody wants to look at.
All of this is happening in t-square to retrograde Neptune in Pisces (a sign that seems to love being lied to) which will station direct on Saturday 12/03.
If you are trying to maintain a lie or keep a secret, this is a week to lie low and say less. If you're looking for truth - whether terrestrial truth or something more esoteric and specific for you - this is a great week to do this week. This is a week to watch what you say. Tempers will be high and retrograde Mars in Gemini has zero off switch.
In the best of times, Gemini and Sagittarius can be great companions. Gemini wants to explore and Sagittarius can keep them moving. Sag wants to expand and Gemini can give them the knowledge to apply their relentless energies. These, unfortunately, may not be the best of times, though, as Mars is never particularly at ease in the mutable air sign of Gemini and is very out to lunch while retrograde in the sign of the twins. If you've got supplies of energy to get things done - get to it. But conflicts are more likely during this time than cooperation.
Neptune's energy is just likely to make things muddy. It may be difficult to feel seen or heard. This is break-up weather (hard aspects between Venus and Mars always are), so say it if you need to; but know the consequences of your actions BEFORE you take them. Some words cannot be unsaid so tread with care if you can.
The first full week of December is still fraught with retrograde Mars energy as the Sun makes an exact opposition to Mars on Thursday 12/08. This is definitely a day to lie low as egos will be high and tempers explosive. Additionally, both Mercury and Venus will both square off with Jupiter in Pisces before transitting into Capricorn (Mercury on 12/06 and Venus on 12/09). We may feel like we are out of luck and out of time.
The full moon at 16° Gemini on Wednesday 12/07 will be closely conjunct to retrograde Mars which isn't helping to cool down everybody's hot heads. Unless you like the flames, get out of the fire. This will be a powerful day to change your mind or take the first steps to change your life, but for little else. Avoid the person that you can't help but quarrel with if you can.
On Monday 12/12, our Sun in Sag makes a constricting sextile to Saturn in Aquarius and Mercury enters its pre-retrograde shadow at 08° Capricorn. We are being forced to face the consequences of our actions - perhaps the consequences of our impulses during the full moon from the week beforehand. Remember that every aspect that Mercury makes from the point it enters its shadow until it begins its retrograde will be repeated thrice - there are lessons here.
The only other significant aspect of the week is our Sun squaring off with Neptune in Sagittarius on Wednesday 12/14 which is just going to make the week feel weird and murky. Don't expect to get a lot done.
The energy will pick up again in the third week of December. On Tuesday 12/20, Jupiter re-enters Aries after its brief sojourn back into Pisces during its retrograde cycle. The next day our Sun enters Capricorn (Happy Winter Solstice!) and immediately forms a square with Jupiter. Luck energy will be high here, but I want to qualify that this doesn't mean "good" luck necessarily - luck goes in all directions. Aries wants to move and explore while Capricorn wants to solidify and maintain - there is often no common ground to be found between these two cardinal energies. If you pick a side (explore OR solidify) and luck is on your side, much could be done with this energy but it will take careful management.
There is a wild card in play as both Mercury and Venus make quick-moving trines to unpredictable Uranus in Taurus on either side of the Solstice (Mercury on Saturday 12/18 and Venus on 12/22) - Capricorn and Aries have seen a lot of action since 2020 and you may need a push to reevaluate and wrap up some of the events that it instigated in your life. It's worth noting that Mercury will form this trine to Uranus three times over its retrograde cycle showing us that something about the ways that we express our Mercurial natures must be revolutionized in some way. Our new moon at 01° Capricorn on Friday 12/23 will still be square with Jupiter in Aries - this is a day for a new start, for good or for ill. Channel the cardinal energy to get things done at this time but beware of being too stuck in your idea of where you are going.
The final week of December will be slow as Mercury will have stalled to a near standstill in anticipation of its retrograde on 12/29. This is business as usual - personal planet retrogrades are always felt both internally and externally in advance of the moments that they change course.
It is worth noting that at the moment Mercury stations retrograde, it will be exactly conjunct to our planet of love, comfort, and getting what we want Venus, and nearly conjunct to Pluto, our planet of death and transformation. This is significant because both Mercury and Venus both went retrograde simultaneously at the beginning of 2022 while conjunct to Pluto. This created a beautiful butterfly effect between what we want (Venus) and how we verbalize it (Mercury) which impacted the energy of the entire year.
Said another way, we still have some work to do. If all went well, we may have a better idea of the lessons we were meant to meet in 2022 but for many of us, they will likely carry on, at least through the beginning of the next year. If you're still lost on what lessons you are facing - you can look at your natal birth chart. Mercury's retrograde cycle will be from 08-24° Capricorn - what house/s does that fall in? Does it make any important aspects with your personal planets? These often offer hints as to how a particular transit will impact you specifically.
The Details
12/01 - Mercury in Sagittarius square retrograde Neptune in Pisces, Venis in Sagittarius opposed retrograde Mars in Gemini, Venus in Sagittarius sextile Saturn in Aquarius 12/03 - Neptune stations direct 22° Pisces 12/04 - Venus in Sagittarius opposed Neptune in Pisces 12/06 - Mercury in Sagittarius square Jupiter in Pisces, Mercury enters Capricorn 12/07 - Full moon 16° Gemini 12/08 - Sun in Sagittarius opposed retrograde Mars in Pisces 12/09 - Venus in Sagittarius square Jupiter in Pisces, Venus enters Capricorn 12/12 -Sun in Sagittarius sextile Saturn in Aquarius, Mercury enters its pre-retrograde shadow 08° Capricorn 12/14 - Sun in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces 12/17 - Mercury in Capricorn trine retrograde Uranus in Taurus 12/20 - Jupiter enters Aries 12/21 - Sun enters Capricorn (Winter Solstice), Sun in Capricorn square Jupiter in Aries 12/22 - Venus in Capricorn trine retrograde Uranus in Taurus 12/23 - New Moon 01° Capricorn 12/24 - Mercury in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces 12/28 - Venus in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces 12/29 - Mercury stations retrograde 24° Capricorn, Mercury conjunct Venus 24° Capricorn

happy new years guys!! i hope you're all having a wonderful day/night so far <3
i'm not sure about everyone else, but it really doesn't feel like a typical new year! i think with the heaviness of the mars & mercury rx (especially considering the signs are inconjunct, which makes things extra tough), it kind of just feels like another day!! if you have a day chart, you might feel extra impacted by the mars retrograde as compared to night chart babies. definitely take it easy if you're feeling off/stressed/etc, and perhaps use january as a time of reflection, and focus more on putting plans into action in march! (or, in january - if it feels right for you!! but if you feel overwhelmed or lack motivation for any sort of resolutions or planning, just know you aren't alone, the sky right now is a bit "heavy")
personally i tend to celebrate the new year as per the astrological new year (aka first day of aries szn as the new year) which feels extra right because that'll be around the time mars is no longer rx nor in the shadow period!!!
anyway!! how are you all feeling?! any thoughts about 2022/2023, plans/etc?! personally the only thing on my mind rn is genshin impact girl groups, and relaxing as much as possible in january until mars and mercury chill out!!! 2022 was rough!!

Today's full moon in Gemini at 16°02' is conjunct mars retrograde
Check what time this full moon begins for you👇 for me it starts at 8:08pm PST.
Tumblr media
This transit will be shedding light on your impulses, triggers (mars), and what you consider your "comfort zone" or familiar patterns (moon). Are your guilty pleasures/desires/protective mechanisms taking over and throwing off your sense of balance?
All these issues will probably be bubbling up to the surface with this full moon, it's time to allow in new/improved ways of handling these issues. Is your comfort zone not doing it anymore? Is it doing you more harm than good? Then it's time to start fresh And do things differently this time around.
Replace your guilty pleasure, unhealthy desires with something that is healthy and more fulfilling? Something that stimulates that mars energy in a positive way. You want to have the best, most healthy experiences possible when it comes down to your health, vitality, life force energy, whatever it is that makes you love and be passionate about your life.
Start with adjusting your comfort zone in a way that benefits you in the long run, whatever it is that can get your "machines" running smoothly and properly.
Tumblr media
Don't let these "machines" (whatever that means for you) get backed up and stuck in unhealthy states, you want higher quality experiences so allow that to happen 💖 all you have in this life is your body/health, without that you miss out on all that it was made to do and what's rightfully yours.
Check which house you have gemini in &or what it's aspecting to see what area in your life is being affected by this gemini moon.
This video pretty much explains what I'm saying here👌
Also, here's a link to my fav astrology website that keeps you updated on all the transits happening each month:

October 22, 2022 : Transits
Libra Saturday
TRANSITS:
Moon Oppose Neptune. You will be more easily attentive about indulging your own interests and quandaries, rather than focusing on what actually needs to get done. If you have any deadlines or duties today, you’ll want to place purposeful focus on making sure that is what you spend your time on instead.
Extra Info: If what you need to get done today is business or financial in nature, really truly fight hard not to stray from the related tasks during this time. Successful completion in this area today will serve you well in the near future.
Moon Square Mars. You might start to feel restless about how slowly the changes you want are taking place in your life, and here is where you could make rash or careless decisions. Don’t put things on the line because of impatience. You will end up causing pain for yourself or others.
Extra Info: Your negative side isn’t going to benefit you, not even in the little quirky ways you think it is. However your positive side IS. This isn’t being told to you to make you feel bad - right now you think your good traits are worth less than they are, because they aren’t solving everything you want them to. Give it time. What you are working on IS worth it, don’t dive backward now!
Moon Trine Pluto. Your contact with others with be more extraordinary than usual today. Relatives, especially women, may add an intense spark to your life. Something herein will light a fire under your determination for what you have been yearning for. Your emotional desires and needs will be easily felt by you, and there is a higher than usual change you will put efforts into getting these right now.
Extra Info: If you maintain faith in yourself and keep an optimistic attitude, this period could end up going very well for you actually. However, if you feel horrible about yourself and others during this, you will not find what you are seeking to gain through this.
Sun Conjunct Venus. Good for unwinding and letting the people we care for in. Brings tenderness, tranquility, balance and beauty. Focuses on relationships, creation, and money. This is an enjoyable transit that makes us feel loving towards each other, and is a great omen for bonding with those in our lives.
Extra Info: No need to fear - any relationship changes made during this transit are likely to be positive in nature, not a “trick of the light” for the day.
Mercury Trine Saturn. Good for planning and deliberating your next steps, but it isn’t time to start on these measures just yet. Able to think critically, and pay attention while getting things done neatly. A great time to prepare for your options against something you know to be coming your way.
Extra Info: New opportunities are coming your way, and it is in your best interest to prepare for what you are sensing.
Moon Oppose Jupiter. Destructs limitations while causing chaos within our inhibitions. Can cause any delusions we are subject to to flare up, and we will feel overly comfortable helping those in our lives who intend to harm us.
Extra Info: Keep it light, keep positive expectations and don’t seek to cause any chaos and you will probably come out the other side of this transit luckier.

Astrology Observations #1
Tumblr media
🩵Mars in Gemini and Virgo are very quick learners. They're at their best when they keep themselves busy with new and intellectually stimulating hobbies.
🩵Cancer placements in the big 3 have the most comforting and nurturing energy. These people are so easy to be around and it feels so easy to be yourself around them. I feel like people don’t give cancer placements enough credit for how good they are at making people feel loved.
🩵10th house moons are very loved and admired in their careers. I've noticed a lot of celebrities with this placement.
🩵Neptune in the 11th house can really idealize their friendships and groups and can end up being very deceived by them. Their friends can be very phony and not their true friends at all.
🩵Leo and Libra in the big 3 makes someone a natural in the spotlight. Fame comes easily to them.
🩵Moon in Pisces or 12th house tend to have very strong connections to their dreams. They can even have epiphanies that help guide them in their life.
🩵In solar return charts, I've noticed that when the transit sun conjuncts the solar return chart ruler, a pivotal moment will happen for that year related to what planet it is. For example, my solar return ascendant in 2022 was in Sagittarius and when the sun made a conjunction with my solar return Jupiter, I received my associate's degree. My previous solar return ascendant in 2021 was in Libra, and when the sun made a conjunction with my solar return Venus, I developed a new long-term crush that inspired me to pursue a new passion. It can be fun to make a note of these dates every year to see what comes up.
🩵8th house synastry is no joke. These connections are incredibly intense and very hard to break free from. It can feel almost impossible to forget about this person. Very transformational as well.
🩵Harsh moon aspects are strong indicators of a wounded relationship with the mother. Pluto square the moon in particular is a very challenging placement for this matter. The mother could have instilled deep trauma and fear in you at an early age.
🩵Positive Mars and Venus aspects make someone incredibly charming. They're often easily liked and admired. I've noticed this the most with Mars sextile Venus.
🩵It's so important to pay attention to your moon sign/house/aspects to discover what you need to feel emotionally fulfilled. For example, I'm a Pisces moon and need to be creative and have a healthy amount of alone time daily to feel content.
🩵Personal Aries placements rapidly need new and passionate energy in their lives. It's so hard for them to stay in situations they're bored and uninspired in. Depending on other placements in the chart that can be more grounding, it's very hard for them to remain committed to a situation for a long time if it's not interesting.
🩵Idk if it's just because I have a Scorpio venus and stellium, but I find Scorpio moon and/or mars men to be so sexy.
🩵Pay attention to what themes come up in your life during your north node return, it can reveal a lot about what you're destined to do and what sort of life can be the most fulfilling for you.

Solar Return Observations #2🌻💛
Tumblr media
🌼💛Just an update so far, I have a 5th house stellium in my chart this year and life has felt so carefree. Life made me get rid of my old crush and made me focus on myself for a while(Pluto) until just friday I met someone new unexpectedly(Vertex). I havent felt this feeling in almost 3 years its really exhilarating feeling like this and I actually have a good feeling about it. It felt like I was meant to cross paths with him at this point in my life right now because im actually focused on my higher self. I feel that Vertex along with other major planets like the Sun, Mars, Mercury, Pluto, and POF made meeting him feel fated because for one ever since Ive met him ive consequently crossed paths with him multiple times in just the span of 3 days. Its not a deep connection however(5th house) but I hope to beat the odds and make something out of it. So overall, Ive had lots of fun, peace, and new interests in love.
🌼💛So I recently just discovered this, but you can go and find your monthly/daily transit chart and overlap it to your natal or solar return chart to see how your school, career, family, or love life will be. I was wondering why was it that I never got the opportunity to meet someone in matters of romance but i did multiple times in friendships and then I saw that in my transit charts I never had Venus in the 7th house until last month. Venus had always been in like the 11th, the 10th, or the 3rd and school and friends was what was constant in my life. Sometimes even having Venus in the 8th can mean a change in your love life. I even looked all the way through 2022 and 2023 and all 12 months there was not one placement of Venus/Mars/Moon in the 5th or 7th until my transit chart of Febuary 29. Venus conjuncted Mars in the 8th and what happened? I saw the new guy who was exactly my type and I found interest in him. My next transit will be March 30 with Venus, Saturn, and Neptune in the 7th, and Mars conjunct the descendant. Im hoping that things will go well and I can get the courage to talk to him but we'll seeee.
🌼💛Having Jupiter in the 1st just means your whole year will be filled with luck youll just have things fall right into your hands.
🌼💛Uranus in the 9th house is lowkey feeling lost on what path you should take regarding school or just feeling disconnected from school in general. I have this right now and ive been having trouble locking in on my school work and i dont know how i want to plan my schedule for next year. Im just going with the flow atp.
🌼💛Venus in the 4th house means your family will spoil you and make you feel loved.
🌼💛Ok so im not really liking the attention ive been getting from having Lilith exactly conjunct the Ascendant. It feels like every where i go theres been men staring at me creepily and theres this guy on the track team who keeps touching me and crossing my boundries and personal space and it makes me so uncomfortable. Its so grimy and I hate it.
🌼💛Look at the dominant planet and see what house it falls in. Last year i had a dominant planet of moon and it fell in the 12th house conjunct mars. All imma say is that last year was one of the worse but strengthening years for me mentally.
🌼💛Venus in the 9th house means you’ll probably get a chance to travel. I had it in the 4th degree and i went to California from Texas because of a wedding on my moms side.
🌼💛Ive noticed that Vertex in the 5th doesnt always necessarily mean youll meet someone, it just means that youll get a lot of opportunities to go out and have fun.
🌼💛Saturn in the 6th/10th means standing on business.
🌼💛Chiron in the 5th may be a year where you feel burnt out. Make sure to take a break.
🌼💛Moon in libra will beautify a relationship depending on whatever house its in. Ex- first house: your appearance, 3rd: your relationship with siblings, 5th house: with your romantic partners or your inner self. It could also mean you feel romantic this year and could even have more opportunities given to you to express those feelings.
🌼💛7th house Neptune means having dreamy fantasies about people you wanna date. Could have your head in the clouds or you can just have high hopes regarding this area. Could be spiritually calming regarding partnerships but you can be manipulated and gaslighted too if your not careful.
🌼💛Venus in the 10th means being called beautiful all the time during that year. So many strangers used to stop me in the hallways to tell me I was pretty that year.
🌼💛Chiron and Neptune in the 1st means not being able to see your beauty.
🌼💛Venus or Jupiter in the 2nd means splurging on skincare, makeup, and clothes.
🌼💛Having Chiron in the 4th is not fun lol. Could mean family problems, struggling to feel at home when youre at home, and having trouble having a safe space.
🌼💛Leo Ascendant years will make you feel popular.
🌼💛Venus in the 6th could make you follow health, beauty, and workout routines or it could oppositely make you feel lazy and not wanna do anything. It also means feeling comfortable at work or find a interest at work.
🌼💛In 2020 when covid hit I had Saturn in the 5th house and it makes so much sense looking back. We were forced to be isolated and I couldnt go out because of the lockdown. Dont get me wrong though I still had alot of fun with my family but I feel like my middle school experience wouldve been alot different if that hadnt happened.
🌼💛Having a Cancer Ascendant back in 2015 was when my older cousin got married and that was a big event for our family that girl spent almost a 100k on her wedding. She was the first to get married out of the kids in the family. Even having Cancer degrees in the chart will mean change or some significant event in your family life.
Thats all for today hope yall enjoyed:)

The Astrological Observation of Gen Z, (a series)
Part I 👼🏽🩷:
The rise & fall of "chick flicks" & the possible resurgence of those films thanks to Barbie? 💗 + Victoria's Secret Angels/fashion show makes a come back, will it succeed 👼🏽?
Tumblr media
SPOILER ALERT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is the birth chart (placidus) of the most loved and adored doll of all time, Barbie! The Barbie movie begun filming in March 2022, had it's first premiere on July 9th, 2023, and was aired officially on July 21st, 2023. If the movie started to be filmed in March 2022, then that means the movie would have been created during Barbie's solar return. The movie was going to have a big impact on the world from the moment it was produced. Although, yes of course it's Barbie who's super famous, but I believe that the intention behind the film was more sincere than other movies in comparison. In Barbie's solar return chart, there is a fear of being "forgotten" or "lost", which is exactly what Barbie struggled with in the movie. There is an Aquarius dominance and a 11th and 9th house stellium. Her North node, Moon, and Uranus are in her 12th house which deals with the subconscious. In the film, Barbie and the woman who owned her as a little girl had a telepathic connection (Aquarius Venus at 2° in the 9th house), which she did not know until she started having "oppressive thoughts about death" (Aquarius Mercury in the 10th house at 28°). Which Weird Barbie gives her a "choice" of going back to normal or knowing the secrets of the universe (a spiritual awakening). Which then explains how her 11th house and 9th house partnered together in the film. Friendship, philosophy, and wisdom all being important lessons that Barbie was forced to experience. Barbie's journey throughout the movie was painful and scary. She wasn't able to be the one to give advice or help little girls anymore, this time - people had to help her, which gave her the confidence to become the woman she wanted to become (Barbie has so many squares and conjuctions in her solar return chart, like let me go buy a Barbie doll and tell her how much I love her, I'm so sorryyyy 💔😭).
Barbie's transits on the day of the Barbie movie's official release. Aspects that are standing out to me are Part of Fortune sextile Pluto, Uranus sextile Moon, Pluto sextile Jupiter, Mercury trine Venus, and Mars square Ascendant. The movie will go down as a cult classic. It globally is a big hit on social media and caused people to even dress, think, and feel differently (especially regarding their femininity). The mars square ascendant could be why men or people with internalized toxic masculinity feel uncomfortable with the movie. It triggers something in them and I feel like secretly that men who say they hate Barbie, actually love her??? They could be remembering childhood memories of the doll and possibly even wanted to play with one but weren't allowed to or wished they spent more time with their moms or sisters. The Mercury trine Venus represents how the film was able to convey women's thoughts well and the things they wish they could say but were suppressed due to the patriarchy. Women as a whole really love Barbie or think highly of her. The film's hypothetical birth chart has a 12th house stellium and still conveys the significance of intuition and the subconscious mind. What's beautiful is the film's Pluto is in the 5th house at 29° in retrograde. If they intended to have people reconnect with their inner child, then it was done successfully. Which confirms my belief and also hope for sweet, sappy, inspiring chick flicks about friendships and self love happening again.

This wouldn't be a post about the 2000's if we didn't discuss the Victoria Secret's fashion show. The first episode was released on August 1st, 1995 during prime time so around 8 pm PST / 10 pm EST. Here is the hypothetical chart (placidus) of the Victoria's Secret Fashion show. I have never in my life seen so many retrogrades before, YIKES! The show has a lot of karmic debt and with the amount of scandals the company had, I'm not even surprised. Saturn in the 1st house, so there is a strict beauty standard that the show wants to uphold and dislikes when someone else tries to break the mold. I watched the Victoria Secret documentary and this is what was said as well. The women who worked there tried to bring more inclusivity to the company and the men acted very pompous and stubborn whenever they tried to create positive changes. They wanted to get away with their cookie cutter looks and corrupted desires. North node being at 0° the fashion show was supposed to embrace change and throughout the years resisted it's main intention or purpose of making women feel sexy. Now that they are trying to rebrand, they'd really have to really get over their ego in order to succeed. The exact date and time of the upcoming fashion show is unsure but it will be aired sometime in the fall. With the Victoria Secret's Fashion Show Sun sign being in Leo, then that means the episode will air right after it's solar return (I'm noticing a pattern here of companies releasing projects after it's solar return👀). Things seem to be going in the show's favor and it will be fair or more inclusive as they said it would be. There is a 7th house stellium here and a Moon in the 1st house so it seems as though they want to come off as genuine as possible. Saturn still remains in the 1st house, so there is still some stern energy here, maybe the rules for the models is strict or there is some sort of tight schedule for the show? Jupiter in the 3rd house, people will be talking about it or there's going to be articles/podcasts about the show. Pluto square South Node, the company's past scandals will still linger in the air. Uranus trine Chiron, someone in PR could write formal apologies to the staff? Saturn square Jupiter, Saturn is not done with them yet. It's literally grabbing them by the throat and saying "repent for your sins". It's not great, but not terrible either, but I'm leaning towards the fashion show will do just fine. The women will be exceptionally beautiful and the style of the clothes is gonna be different. It could take some time for people to be on board again with the show airing due to past controversies. Some will enjoy it for nostalgia, while others will not care to watch because it's not their thing or won't watch out of support for the victims.
The Tour '23's birth chart (whole sign)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The show having its Aquarius Moon in the 12th house 24° is very significant in my opinion given the fact it displays the hidden nature of women and the different aspects of the divine feminine. I watched it today and there was a lot of focus on motherhood, feeling unique or out of place in the world (a lot of people saying they felt like an alien), and having different body types, attributes, or features being seen. With an Aries chiron and north node, I feel their way of approaching things was more blunt and why they were more comfortable exhibiting/talking about scars, stretch marks, protesting, and (tw:) eating disorders. Another interesting aspect I noticed was mostly the narrator Gigi Hadid and the show has a Virgo Mercury in the 7th house 16°. Quite a few of the women narrating were mothers themselves, such as Gigi Hadid. Gigi has her Mercury in the 1st house and she has a Taurus stellium. The 7th house is connected to Venus and it is known for beauty, femininity, and love. There was also 5 segments all around the world but the show made its debut in Lagos, Nigeria. The Pisces ascendant I believe explains the fluidity and ability to transform or adapt to your environment. As well as being sensitive, free spirited, and having spiritual consciousness, for example, there was the use of Yoruba and Igbo mythology in the fashion show. The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show originally had a Leo stellium and it was more superficial, a lot of hyper focus on glitz and glam. Where as now there is a Pisces stellium and still has a familiarity of signs from its original birth chart (the essence of Libra, Taurus, and Leo still being there). The Capricorn Pluto in the 11th house 27° acknowledges what they have done in the past and their problematic behavior. With 27° being a Gemini degree, its as if the company is wanting to say to the generation: "Let's talk about it". The fashion designers in the documentary all discussed the importance of self expression and their hardships to get there. Doja Cat being the main performer of the series isn't surprising given the fact she is also a Libra Sun. Similar to the show, Doja and Victoria's Secret, are both known for being quite controversial (perfect pair, don't you think?). With The Tour 23's Sun being in the 8th house, it feels that it is the death of their ego. A new chapter for the company, while still keeping some parts of itself and it's past. Neptune and Saturn being in the 1st house explains why everyone was so vulnerable about their journey, insecurities, and dealing with self criticism. With its ascendant being a leo degree (5°) I believe it will gain some traction or buzz because of the individualistic style and fresh new faces / designers, but it won't be anything that will people talk about long term.

Sun in Cancer ♋️🌊 Moon in Scorpio ♏️🌊
“Don’t let your emotions get in the way”
Moon in Scorpio
The Moon in Scorpio brings intensity and depth to our emotional bodies. This lunar phase calls for emotional transformations. What we deeply bury can rise to the surface making this one of the most challenging yet magical moon phases. We feel things with incredible passion and depth which awakens the spirit for healing but it can also bring out a broody or moody side out for some. Use this energy to better connect with spirit.
Mars Conjunct Uranus
Mars and Uranus come together in the sign of Taurus today bringing one of the most intense transits of the year. Think back to August of 2022 for the last time we had this conjunction. This is a very assertive and disruptive energy. We've been feeling this roll in this past week and have already seen how harshly it can impact over the last couple of days. Expect the unexpected as this energy reaches its peak today. Check the Taurus area of your birth chart to see where some surprises could show up for you.
Sun Square Chiron
The Sun in Cancer square to Chiron in Aries can bring on themes of embarrassment or shame. Do yourself a favor and silence that inner critic. Negative self talk only attracts more of what you don't want because that's where your focus is. Help your inner child heal with courage and bravery. That's why Chiron is known as the wounded healer. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Let go of the past and use your experiences to open up your true gifts.

November 2022 Important Dates
Tumblr media
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast’s November forecast.
October Recap: We’re entering the month of November just off a Scorpio solar eclipse on October 25th. In mundane astrology generally, the nodes have traditionally indicated mre dramatic rise and falls of people or groups in power. For example, the UK’s new prime minister was appointed on the day of the eclipse, and the coronation is planned for the next lunar eclipse in Scorpio next year--we may see more changes abound. Guest host Patrick Watson connects Liz Truss’s brief time in office to the ancient Babylonian practice of substituting someone else for the king during for the day of the eclipse so that person would take the brunt of it. Another leadership change during the eclipse was the ascension of Italy’s new prime minister. In celebrity news, Elon Musk was legally compelled to buy Twitter right after the eclipse, forming a bookend to his initial offer to buy it during the last pair of eclipses (and backtracking during the Mercury retrograde, which stationed 10/8). As a South Node eclipse a keyword is “release,” such as Kanye West (natal Sun in Gemini copresent with retrograde Mars) being released from a bunch of contracts after his hateful words on Twitter.
Other notable transits include Mercury’s direct station early in October and Biden’s pardoning of marijuana convictions on the 6th, as well as new legislation around legalizing other drugs. Austin connects Neptune in Pisces to this, as in the past decade we’ve seen substances like marijuana and psychedelics getting wider social acceptance, as well as the rise of the opioid crisis across the US. The DART mission changed an asteroid’s trajectory with a rocket the moment it was conjunct Mars. The attack on the Nordstream 2 pipeline (Russia to Europe) in the Baltic Sea occurred during Mercury retrograde and as Mars approached a square with Neptune--an explosion under the ocean disrupting a pipe/road/bridge. More Mars-Neptune squares are coming up, so Patrick warns we should expect to see more similar events.
Late October astrology: besides the eclipse, we’ll enter November with Saturn having just stationed direct on the 22nd (activating for the last time its 2+ year-long square to Uranus as it makes its way to Pisces), on the same day a once-in-a-century Sun-Venus cazimi in Libra, Jupiter returned to Pisces on the 27th, and Mars stationed retrograde on the 30th. Chris wonders if the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Pisces lines up with financial predictions that inflation will likely worsen in countries around the world.
Early November: Sun, Venus, and Mercury in Scorpio Each of these planets will fill out a T-square to Uranus in Taurus (opposite) and Saturn in Aquarius(square). Venus’s recent cazimi (exact conjunction to Sun) in Libra (10/22) was part of some larger shifts, as Venus cazimis have been in Scorpio for the past century. Furthermore, there is a 250-year “star point cycle” of conjunctions occurring in particular signs, and this cycle will call back to the late 18th century, such as the founding of the United States (which is also having a Pluto return). We can think of Venus in Libra in the sense of government accords and social contracts--the attempts at harmony among people. Austin connects this change in cycle to the documentary Century of the Self, which documents the rise of individualist and psychoanalytic strategies by corporate and political powers during the 20th century (A/N: highly recommend! It’s free on YouTube in four 45-minute episodes or in an omnibus video). Scorpio is a more self-oriented sign (maintaining one’s security and independence), whereas Libra is more interested in relating to others and balancing the scales--perhaps we’ll see a cultural shift from Martial individualism to Venusian cooperation.
Themes of obscuring and brooding will be especially apparent this Scorpio season. Mercury and Venus will not be visible to the naked eye for most of the month, as they are too close to the Sun. Our simmering Scorpio Mercury thoughts will find a dramatic outlet in retrograde Gemini Mars, as the planets are in mutual reception. Similarly, our Venus-ruled frustrations may erupt through ruler Mars, though the causes may be subtle and unconscious. (A/N: Check the houses where Scorpio and Gemini fall in your chart to see where this pattern should emerge). A similar pattern in the fall of 2018 saw the #MeToo movement affecting election results and Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court. Venus in Scorpio can indicate finding beauty in unusual or morbid things, as well as obsession like in Phantom of the Opera.
November 8th - Lunar eclipse in Taurus, Sun-Mercury conjunction The eclipse is conjunct Uranus, and this is also the day of midterm elections in the US. Uranus likes to shake things up, stress-testing our foundations. Our hosts note that this is on Biden’s 6th-12th axis, wondering if there may be changes in his health or his employees, such as the cabinet. Additionally, considering the eclipse’s signification of changes in power, we may witness changes in the ruling party. A previous eclipse election was 1938, where Democrats came out in charge, but basically did away with the New Deal--perhaps emergency measures due to COVID will be cut even more dramatically. Uranus in Taurus is an apt indicator for bread riots, or may indicate further changes in light of Roe v. Wade’s overturning. Mercury conjunct the Sun means it’s changing sect on that day, further indicating changes in ruling parties.
November 13th-20th: Scorpio planets trine Jupiter in Pisces (not pictured) Venus will do so on the 13th-14th, Mercury the 15th, and Sun around the 20th.
November 13th - Electional Chart
Tumblr media
This chart takes advantage of the grand trine in water signs between the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Scorpio, Jupiter in Pisces, and the Moon in Cancer. Adjust the chart for just after 12:00 noon local time, with about 6° Aquarius rising. This is actually a Saturn election, with it in the first house, direct, in its domicile, and of the favored sect during the day. The Moon is in the 6th house (whole signs), but it’s applying to trines with the Scorpio planets & Midheaven in the 10th house, as well as a trine to Jupiter in Pisces in the 2nd house. This chart is good both for the self (1st house) and financial matters (2nd house). Venus is also within 2° of an exact trine with Jupiter, providing some bonification between the two. This may be a good time for the prudent allocation of resources for long-term benefit, especially financially.
November 16th - Venus enters Sagittarius This is the first of the planets to leave moody, underground Scorpio for loud and rambunctious Sagittarius.
November 17th - Mercury enters Sagittarius As planets enter Scorpio, they leave the T-square to Uranus and Saturn...
November 22nd - Sun enters Sagittarius ...and enter an opposition to Mars in Gemini. (see below)
November 23rd - New Moon in Sagittarius, Jupiter stations Retrograde This is our first non-eclipse lunation in awhile, at 1° of Sagittarius. This lunation especially activates the Mars retrograde in Gemini, and as an opposition connotes loud arguments or reacting dramatically to things. Much of what was planned in shadow during the first half of the month will become clearer as the Sun and faster planets change signs. Mercury and Venus opposite Mars in Sagittarius-Gemini last coincided with the release of Thriller and one of Madonna’s music videos being banned by MTV. Think “scandalous works of culture.”
Thanksgiving on the 24th may have issues with heating considering the Mars rx (Patrick thinks of deep-fried turkey accidents), and as the author I think this probably bodes unwell for readers in the UK and Europe who are already facing an energy crisis as the days get colder.
Late November Astrology: Mercury opposite Mars on November 29th, signifying discordant communication such as arguments. November 30th: Venus opposes Mars. The Sun doesn’t oppose Mars until December, when we’ll see a full Moon conjunct Mars. However, Mars can give us courage. During this Mars retrograde over the next few months, we have a chance to evaluate what we’ve fought for in the past, as well as how and why. What’s worth fighting for, and what’s the best strategy to use?

Contemplating Mars retrograde magic
As we (quickly) approach this month's Mars retrograde on 10/30, I have been trying to work out what (if anything) I want to do magically to ease my passage through what is considered to be a rough transit for pretty much the whole world.
During the last Mars retrograde cycle in Libra, I energized and charged carnelian with solar energy to keep me moving through the slow season. It worked pretty well as I remember, but I guess that it is time to consult my notes. With enchantments like that, I like to create an altar to the planet in question and charge both a standing piece of stone and one that I can either carry or wear throughout the retrograde to keep the magic on me at all times.
I gave the carnelian bracelet that I used in that ritual to a Leo client of mine a while back though, so I can't replicate the ritual exactly as before because I no longer have the right ingredients.
And is energy what I need?
There could be many ways to approach Mars retrograde magic. The retrograde is going to fuzz our pathways and fizzle out our forward momentum. You may need to go over past mistakes or implement corrections. Mars rules all the ways that you reach out into the world to take what you want - it is dominant masculine energy. Mars rules the sign Aries and co-rules the sign Scorpio with our planet of death and transformation, Pluto.
It's worth noting here that we are also about to experience a solar eclipse (new moon) in Scorpio immediately after its ruling planet goes retrograde.
Mars is the god of war but it's as likely to be war in the boardroom, or in the bedroom, as war in the more traditional sense. Where Mars is normally direct - you know where Mars stands; Mars in retrograde is sneaky and not afraid to do some behind-the-scenes deals to get what he wants.
Mars retrograde is a good time to be sneaky or do sneaky spells. Mars retrograde is a great time to break with tradition and go your own way. If you normally move before you make a plan (I'm looking at you, Aries), Mars retrograde may be a time to slow down and reassess. Or, conversely, it may be a time when you are so frustrated that you jump off track entirely just to run free.
No judgment here.
Personal planet retrogrades are hard. If you aren't somebody who feels it, you will almost inevitably have Others who do. Keep an eye on your very Marsian others - especially anybody with a personal planet in Aries or Scorpio and most especially people with Mars in Gemini.
Mars wasn't exactly comfortable in the sign of Gemini who just wants to move around, but generally does not really go anywhere, to begin with. Mars would like to get things done and Gemini is too busy reconsidering the myriad of options for the umpteenth time. This will be compounded by Mars' prolonged trine with Neptune in Pisces which adds an air of inanity, or mysticism - maybe both.
Ultimately, it will be okay but we will all have to wade through a lot of stuff before it feels that way.
Maybe the right spell for you right now is a mystical life preserver. (If that makes sense and you do that spell, send me an anon and tell me about it please)
As for me, I still think that I want to capture some of the energy of the light as most of the retrograde will take place around the dark days of winter and light will be very appreciated.

Published: Mar 4, 2024
Newly leaked files from the world’s leading transgender health-care organization reveal it is pushing hormonal and surgical transitions for minors, including stomach-wrenching experimental procedures designed to create sexless bodies that resemble department-store mannequins.
The World Professional Association for Transgender Health documents demonstrate it’s controlled by gender ideologues who push aside concerns about whether children and adolescents can consent to medical treatments that WPATH members privately acknowledge often have devastating and permanent side effects.
Yet the US government, American doctors and prominent organizations nonetheless rely on WPATH guidelines for advice on treating our youth.
The files — jaw-dropping conversations from a WPATH internal messaging board and a video of an Identity Evolution Workshop panel — were provided to journalist Michael Shellenberger, who shared the documents with me.
Shellenberger’s nonprofit Environmental Progress will release a scathing summary report, comparing the WPATH promotion of “the pseudoscientific surgical destruction of healthy genitals in vulnerable people” to the mid-20th-century use of lobotomies, “the pseudoscientific surgical destruction of healthy brains.”
‘Arbitrary’ age limits
The comparison to one of history’s greatest medical scandals is not hyperbole.
It is particularly true, as the files show repeatedly, when it involves WPATH’s radical approach to minors.
When the organization adopted in 2022 its current Standards of Care — relied on by the National Institutes of Health, the World Health Organization and every major American medical and psychiatric association — it scrapped a draft chapter about ethics and removed minimum-age requirements for children starting puberty blockers or undergoing sexual-modification surgeries.
It had previously recommended 16 to start hormones and 17 for surgery.
Not surprisingly, age comes up frequently in the WPATH files, from concerns about whether a developmentally delayed 13-year-old can start on puberty blockers to whether the growth of a 10-year-old girl will be stunted by hormones.
During one conversation, a member asked for advice about a 14-year-old patient, a boy who identified as a girl and had begun transitioning at 4.
The child insisted on a vaginoplasty, a surgery that removes the penis, testicles and scrotum and repositions tissue to create a nonfunctioning pseudo-vagina. It requires a lifetime of dilation. Was he too young at 14?
Marci Bowers, WPATH’s president and a California-based pelvic and gynecologic surgeon who is herself transgender, said she considered any age limit “arbitrary.”
But she would not do it. Why?
“The tissue is too immature, dilation routine too critical.”
In lay terms, that means boys who are too young do not have enough penal tissue for the surgery and the surgeon must harvest intestinal lining to build the faux vagina. Even Bowers admits that can lead to “problematic surgical outcomes.”
She would know since she has performed more than 2,000 vaginoplasties. Her highest-profile patient is 17-year-old Jazz Jennings, the transgender star of reality TV show “I Am Jazz.”
Three corrective surgeries were required to fix problems from the original vaginoplasty.
“She had a very difficult surgical course,” Bowers admitted in a 2022 appearance on the show. “We knew it would be tough — it turned out tougher than any of us imagined.”
Still, Bowers told her colleagues in the internal discussion forum of the best age for an adolescent to undergo surgery: “sometime before the end of high school does make some sense in that they are under the watch of parents in the home they grew up in.”
Christine McGinn, a Pennsylvania plastic surgeon and herself transgender, agreed. McGinn has performed “about 20 vaginoplasties in patients under 18” and thinks the “ideal time in the U.S. is surgery the summer before the last year of high school. I have heard many other surgeons echo this.”
Waiting until teens are older than 18 and in college is problematic, she said: “there are too many stressors in college that limit patients’ ability to dilate.”
Dangers downplayed
WPATH assures patients that surgical and hormonal interventions are tested and safe. It is a different matter in private.
President Bowers, for instance, said publicly in 2022 that puberty blockers are “completely reversible,” although in the internal forum she conceded it is “in its infancy.”
What about children who are infertile for life since they started hormone blockers before they reached puberty?
Bowers told her colleagues the “fertility question has no research.”
At other stages, members talk frankly about the complications for the transition surgery for girls, a phalloplasty in which a nonfunctioning pseudo-penis is fashioned from either forearm or thigh tissue.
It requires a full hysterectomy and surgical removal of the vagina. They also discuss other serious consequences, including pelvic inflammatory disease, vaginal atrophy, abnormal pap tests and incontinence.
A 16-year-old girl who had been on puberty blockers for several years before she was put on testosterone for a year had developed two liver tumors that an oncologist concluded the hormones had caused. Another member described “a young patient on testosterone for 3 years” who had developed “vaginal/pelvic pain/spotting . . . [and] atrophy with the persistent yellow discharge.”
Several colleagues described patients with similar conditions, some with debilitating bowel problems or bleeding and excruciating pain during sex (“feeling like broken glass”).
Vaginal estrogen creams and moisturizers as well as hyaluronic acid suppositories “can be helpful.”
One WPATH member seemed surprised: “The transgender people under my surveillance do not complain about this matter. However, I confess that I have never asked them about it.”
Rise of ‘de-gender’ surgery
The litany of transition surgery’s side effects did not stop WPATH from endorsing far more radical “nullification” surgeries for patients who do not feel either male or female and identify only as nonbinary.
Several dozen so-called “de-gendering” surgeries are designed to create a sexless, smooth cosmetic appearance that is unknown in nature. There is even an experimental “bi-genital” surgery that attempts to construct a second set of genitals.
In 2017, when tabloids reported a 22-year-old man had spent $50,000 to surgically remove his sex organs so he could “transform into a genderless extra-terrestrial,” it seemed a one-off oddity.
But WPATH has enshrined that concept in its Standard of Care — the same document in which the group endorsed for the time first time chemical or surgical castration for patients who identify as eunuchs. (WPATH even linked to the Eunuch Archives, where men anonymously share castration fetishes.)
These science-fiction-like surgeries are not only reserved for adults.
“How do we come up with appropriate standards for non-binary patients?” asked Thomas Satterwhite, a San Francisco-based plastic surgeon who has operated on dozens of patients younger than 18 since 2014. “I’ve found more and more patients recently requesting ‘non-standard’ procedures.”
What are nonstandard procedures? They include “non-binary top surgery,” a mastectomy without nipples. There are brutal procedures for girls that eliminate all or part of the vagina and for boys that amputate the penis, scrotum and testicles.
The goal, as one San Francisco surgical clinic proclaims on its website, “is a smooth, neutral body that is cosmetically free of sexual identification.” On TikTok the trend is called a “flat front.”
‘Too young to understand‘
A particularly intense subject of discussion was whether minors could understand the lifelong consequences of their gender treatments. Minors are presumed by law to be incapable of making an informed decision about having a vasectomy or tubal ligation.
Gender surgeries are an exception, however.
WPATH’s Standard of Care allows all procedures so long as the minor “demonstrates the emotional and cognitive maturity required to provide informed consent/assent for the treatment.”
In a May 2022 internal workshop, “Identity Evolution,” WPATH members conceded that was all but impossible.
Daniel Metzger, the British Columbia endocrinologist who cowrote the Canadian Pediatric Society’s position paper on health care for trans minors, said, “I think the thing you have to remember about kids is that we’re often explaining these sorts of things to people who haven’t even had biology in high school yet.”
Metzger noted adolescents are incapable of appreciating the lifelong consequence of infertility. “It’s always a good theory that you talk about fertility preservation with a 14-year-old,” he said, “but I know I’m talking to a blank wall. They’d be like, ‘ew, kids, babies, gross.’ Or, the usual answer is, ‘I’m just going to adopt.’ And then you ask them, ‘Well, what does that involve? Like, how much does it cost?’ ‘Oh, I thought you just like went to the orphanage, and they gave you a baby.’ . . . I think now that I follow a lot of kids into their mid-twenties, I’m always like, ‘Oh, the dog isn’t doing it for you, right?’”
There is extensive research showing adolescent brains are wired to have little control over rash behavior and are not capable of grasping the magnitude of decisions with lifelong consequences. It is why society doesn’t allow teens to get tattoos or buy guns. Car-rental agencies set 25 as the minimum age for renting a car, and Sweden sets the same limit for deciding on sterilization.
Detransitioners ignored, shunned
Although many WPATH members privately doubt that adolescents can give truly informed consent to life-altering procedures, they must affirm whatever children say about their gender.
Unless, the WPATH files disclose, the patient wants to reverse course and become a so-called detransitioner.
WPATH members mostly dismiss those cases as insignificant or overblown by the media and question whether minors who want to revert to their birth sex really understand what they are doing.
It’s a question that would never be asked for minors who declared themselves to be gender dysphoric.
One case involved a 17-year-old boy, just graduated from high school, who had been on testosterone for two years. He was reported to be “very distraught and angry. He reports he feels he was brainwashed and is upset by the permanent changes to his body.”
A self-described “queer therapist” did not believe any young person could be brainwashed. “In my experience, those stories come from people who have an active agenda against the rights of trans people.”
WPATH President Bowers said that “I do see talk of the phenomenon [detransitioners] as distracting from the many challenges we face.”
‘Frankenstein files’
The leaked files put a spotlight on the danger of mixing ideological activism with medicine and science. They should serve as an urgent wakeup call for the medical associations and government agencies that rely on WPATH guidance for transgender health.
The files might even prompt investigations into how those with distorted personal agendas seized control of the organization at the expense of science and patients.
Investigating what has gone wrong at WPATH might prove uncomfortable for some gender progressives in the Biden administration, none more so than Adm. Rachel Levine, the assistant secretary for health. Levine, the first transgender four-star military officer, is a WPATH member and has lavished praise on the organization.
She says it “assesses the full state of the science and provides substantive, rigorously analyzed, peer-reviewed recommendations to the medical community on how best to care for patients who are transgender or gender non-binary. It is free of any agenda other than to ensure that medical decisions are informed by science.”
Either Levine is unaware of the hormonal and surgical experimentation the group promotes or refuses to acknowledge it.
“The Frankenstein files.”
That is how a pediatrician described the leaked documents after I shared them with her.
Unfortunately, this is no horror novel.
It is a medical travesty playing out in real time, and the casualties are our children.
