You've been sat on your front steps for hours.
Bowl of candy in hand, goodie bags made up, decorations hung and ready. You've always loved Halloween, for as long as you can remember. Now you're older, the highlight is getting to see all the neighbourhood kids dressed up as they trick or treat.
Not this year. You and Bucky moved apartments last year, and you were ridiculously excited to get to give out candy on your new block. Turns out, no one really passes by your place.
"Baby," comes a voice from the front door behind you. "You're gonna catch your death. It's freezing."
Bucky sits down next to you, wrapping a blanket around your shoulders and pulling you into his side.
"You wanna come inside? We can watch those old Disney Halloween movies you love."
You rest your head on his shoulder, revelling in his warmth.
"Not yet, Buck. Just gonna wait a little longer."
It's breaking his heart seeing you so defeated. You've been looking forward to the holiday for weeks, and it certainly hasn't turned out the way either of you hoped.
"Do you think there just aren't any kids around here? I've literally seen none."
"I don't know, baby. I'm just as confused as you are."
He presses a kiss to the top of your head, arms tightening around you.
He is confused. In your old apartment, you'd have dozens of kids come by, eager for candy and the cookies you'd make. You and Bucky would sit out on the front steps and give out goodie bags for hours, striking up conversations with parents and celebrating all of the costumes.
"Maybe we should go inside," you say quietly, starting to shiver. "We'll have to ask Sam tomorrow if he got any trick or treaters. Maybe it's going out of style."
Sam.
Bucky has a sudden eureka moment, jumping up from his spot next to you.
"Wait here, baby. One minute."
He runs inside, leaving you disorientated on the steps. He's back within thirty seconds, your bag in his hand.
"Come on. We're going out."
"Where?"
"It's a surprise. You'll see."
You pile into the car as Bucky loads all the candy into the trunk, trying to be as subtle as possible. He climbs in and presses a kiss to your knuckles before holding your hand for the entire journey, humming along to the radio as he drives.
You suddenly begin to recognise your whereabouts, more confused than ever.
"Why are we in Sam's neighbourhood, Buck?"
He winks.
"You'll see."
As soon as you pull up to Sam's house, he's striding out of the front door and towards you.
"Thank God you're here. I can't do it anymore. Why didn't we just do this in the first place?"
"Do what?"
"I remember Sam telling me about the, quote on quote, 'obscene amount of trick or treaters' that he gets at his house every year. And he hates Halloween -"
"It's true!" Sam interjects.
"- so I thought you could save him from his misery, and you get to give out candy like you wanted."
You're grinning at him from ear to ear, practically bouncing on the soles of your feet.
"You're a genius," you whisper, leaning up to press your lips to his softly. "I love you."
"I love you too," he smiles, stealing another kiss or four.
"I'm gonna head upstairs and watch the football game. You guys have fun out here!"
Sam throws you a thumbs up before retreating inside, closing the door behind him. You and Bucky bring all of your goodies from the car and set up on the porch, ready and waiting.
Before you know it, there are dozens of groups of kids on the street, all of them adorned in spooky costumes. They practically skip up the pathway towards you, excited and giddy.
"Trick or treat!"
"Woah, you're all super scary... I like your makeup! And your wig! Hey, your shirt is super cool!"
You're placing candy in their bags, so you can't see Bucky beaming behind you, light radiating off of him in all directions.
He'd find a way make it Halloween everyday if it meant he could see you smile like this.

-
Walking towards the sanctum library, you could hear Stephen reciting something, as a glow came from the room.
Feeling curious, you peaked your head in, seeing him standing over a fake witch decoration while reciting the spell.
You rose your brow as you stepped fully into the room.
"What are you doing?" You asked abruptly.
Stephen turned to look at you and smirked "Testing out a new spell."
You approached him, looking down at the witch, and seeing a pile of Halloween decorations nearby.
"A spell to do what exactly?"
"I'm attempting to enchant the decorations."
You glanced between him and he witch "Why?"
"'Tis the season."
"That doesn't tell me anything, Stephen what are you really attempting to do, and why do I have a bad feeling about it?"
He chuckled lowly as he turned fully towards you "You sound like Wong."
"That's not a bad thing, he's always right."
"He is not."
"Stephen." You said with a stern tone.
He rolled his eyes lightly "I thought you were excited for Halloween and wanted to decorate the Sanctum?"
"Wait, are you doing this because of what I said?"
He motioned his head lightly in response before he spoke softly "I want you to enjoy the holidays here, with me."
You smiled, feeling touched at his actions. You let out a soft chuckle as you spoke "I am excited about Halloween, and I did decorate the Sanctum, I don't need them to walk around the sanctum on their own. I'm enjoying my time here with you perfectly well."
He smiled but leaned closer, squinting "But you have to admit, it would be hilarious if Wong entered his office only to find a giant enchanted spider waiting for him."
You repressed your smile "Stephen." You warned again.
"Picture it."
Failing to repress the smile, it stretched across your face. You shook your head lightly. "Okay, it would be hilarious, but I still have a bad feeling about it."
"Oh come on, it'll be fun, I promise."
You sighed and shrugged your head "Fine, but if it goes wrong, it's not on me."
He smiled as he leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to your lips. "Deal"
--- --- --- ---
Humming to yourself as you walked down the halls, you stopped as you heard a scraping noise nearby. Frowning you walked further down the hall and peered around the corner.
Your heart jolted as you saw a tall hooded figure at the end of the hall.
"Hey!" You called out, feeling your defenses rise.
As the figure spun around, you felt your body jolt before realization fell over you.
The tall grim reaper decoration swayed awkwardly, it's feet scraping along the ground. A tall scythe held in it's hands, as it's empty eyes stared back at you.
You let out a soft sigh, knowing Stephen got exactly what he wanted. A quick scare, too bad he wasn't here to see it.
Looking one last time at the decoration, you shook your head with a soft laugh. Turning, you continued down the hall, wondering how many of the decorations were enchanted.
Hearing the scraping continue, it took you a moment to realize it was getting louder. Stopping, you realized it was right behind you. Rolling your eyes, you spun around, flinching slightly as the figure stood right behind you.
Your eyes scanned over it, before you saw the very real metal sheen of the scythe in it's hands. You frowned, as you felt a bad feeling rise in your gut.
Suddenly, the reaper moved with a speed you weren't expecting as it raised the scythe before swinging at you. Jumping back with a yelp, as you barely dodged the blade, the reaper quickly attempting to attack you again.
Crouching down, you grabbed the decorations legs and yanked them, causing it to fall backwards. As it fell, you ripped the scythe from it's hands before cutting the head off the figure. The whole body went limp as the head rolled down the hall.
You let out a heavy breath as you looked at the very real scythe in your hands. Your heart was pounding heavily in your chest as adrenaline ran through you.
Looking around with a rush of fear and frustration you called out "Stephen!"
Hearing no reply, you ran through the sanctum, searching for him. Finally finding him, you rushed into the room, breathless.
Seeing you, Stephen stood up, concern lacing his face and voice "What's wrong?"
"Whats wrong is that one of your enchanted decorations just tried to kill me." You held out the scythe as you spoke.
Stephen frowned as he walked up to you, grabbing the scythe "The grim reaper."
"Yeah! And the Grim Reaper just tried to cut me in half with that very real scythe!"
"Where is it now?"
"I took care of it" You breathed out "I cut its head off and it went limp, like it died."
"That's concerning."
"Concerning?!"
"Alright, it's very concerning." He admitted, setting the scythe down.
"How many decorations did you enchant exactly?"
He looked back at you with a slightly startled look "A few."
"How many is a few?"
"A lot."
You closed your eyes and let out a sigh "Oh great."
Hearing a loud thud upstairs, you both looked up, before locking eyes. Stephen quickly left the room, and you followed, wondering what you were about to find.
As you crept upstairs cautiously, you followed the sound of thudding into one of the rooms. Slowly entering the room, you heard clicking sounds from behind table.
Watching with baited breath as the table moved slightly with a thud, before you saw a large spider made of bones crawl out from behind the table.
You felt your chest clench as you let out a soft breath "You've gotta be kid-"
As the spider let out a loud hiss it leapt int the air towards you, you flinched back in fear as Stephen swung out his arm, casting a spell. You watched as the spider fell to the ground in various pieces, all of the bones clanking against the floor.
You let out a large breath as you shook your head, as if dispelling the fear you just felt. "Is that the spider you wanted to scare Wong with?"
He looked back at you and rose his brow "No."
Your face dropped, your voice holding a sense of defeat "There's another one somewhere?"
He shrugged his head "Yeah."
You let out a soft groan as you turned around into the doorway. You let out a startled gasp as you were met with large angry eyes.
As the tall green witch let out a wicked laugh and grabbed you, you felt your feet lift off the ground as you were pulled out of the room, and over the banister, hanging above the stairwell.
Stephen ran out of the room behind you, as his cloak flew off his shoulders and towards you.
Feeling the cloak wrap itself around you, Stephen attempted to take out the witch, but it dogged his magic and let out a loud laugh as it yanked you down.
You let out a startled yell as you felt yourself drop, as the cloak attempting to pull you from the witches grasp. The witches grip was tight on you as her long fingernails dug into your skin as she and the cloak used you in a game of tug-of-war.
Seeing Stephen out of the corner of your eye preparing to disenchant the witch, you saw a large white object appear behind him.
"Stephen!" You yelled in warning.
Just as Stephen was about to cast his spell, a white sheet wrapped around him, as the ghost decoration pulled him towards the ground, binding his arms to his side.
As Stephen struggled against the ghost, you felt the witch yank you from the cloaks grasp as she began pulling you towards the window with a great speed.
Stephen, managing to free one of his hands from the sheet, repelled the ghost before throwing it into a closet and locking the door. Turning towards you he saw you being pulled towards the window.
"Y/n!" He yelled out, before disenchanting the witch.
As you felt yourself begin falling, you closed your eyes. A moment later you felt the cloak wrap itself around you, before lifting you back up to Stephen.
Landing back on the ground, you let out a sigh of relief, as Stephen pulled you to his chest.
"Are you alright?"
You nodded with a sigh "Yeah I'm aright."
Hearing a fast paced clicking sound, you and Stephen spun around to see the bone spider, a few legs down, running towards you.
Stephen reached out his hand towards the spider. You flinched as it turned to dust before disappearing entirely.
"Alright. This is ridiculous, I need to cast a disenchantment before this gets out of hand."
"Before?!"
He looked down at you and shrugged his head "Okay, before it gets worse."
Seeing him looking over your head, his eyes widened as he grabbed you, spinning you around, away from something.
Looking back, you saw a large clown decoration, knife in hand, lunging at Stephen. Knocking the clown back, you heard Stephen hiss in pain as the knife cut his arm.
The clown laughed merrily as it jumped around out of Stephens view. Preparing to run over to help Stephen, you let out a gasp as you were grabbed from behind. Feeling a sharp pain in your leg, you began to let out a yell, but felt a hand placed over your mouth, muffling your cry.
Looking back over your shoulder, you saw the smiling face of a scarecrow as it began dragging you down the hall. Looking down at your leg, you saw blood as the scarecrow pulled the knife from your thigh.
Swiping your legs, you knocked the scarecrow back. Spinning around, preparing to fight it, you felt goosebumps rise up your arms as the smiling face quickly changed to a angry frown.
As the scarecrow lifted the knife up, you spun, kicking your leg out, knocking the knife from it's grasp. Ignoring the pain in your leg, you lunged for the knife, grabbing it just before the scarecrow.
Spinning around, you swiped the knife, slicing open its chest as straw and cotton became visible.
The scarecrow let out a angry muffled groan, but seemed unaffected. Lunging at you, it grabbed your arms, holding the up, along with the knife.
Letting out a frustrated groan, you pushed the scarecrow away, kicking it towards the banister. As it stumbled, you reached out, grabbing it's head. You yelled out as you pulled it's head off before quickly tossing it over the banister. As the scarecrows body began spinning around wildly, you pushed it over the banister as well.
Hearing a thud nearby, you looked over to see the clown decoration fall to the ground as Stephen stumbled out into the hall. Looking over at you, he saw the knife in your hands, and then the blood coating your leg.
His eyes widened as he began to walk over to you "Are you alright?"
"I've been better" You winced as you met him.
As he got to you, you both froze as you heard a groaning sound. Turning to look behind you, your eyes cast to the ground at the end of the hall, as you saw half of a zombie slowly crawling towards you.
"You really enchanted all of the decorations didn't you?"
He nodded "Yep."
Suddenly from the floor below you, you heard a loud familiar shriek. You and Stephen looked at each other and he closed his eyes briefly before shaking his head.
"I know. Be careful what you wish for."
Walking over, the two of you peered down over the banister.
Seeing the limp body of a giant spider fly into the wall before hitting the ground, you saw a bewildered and scared Wong came into view. Looking around, he finally spotted the two of you above him.
"What is going on!?" He yelled up at the two of you
You quickly pointed at Stephen "He did it!"
He looked over at you with mild offense before sighing and looking back down at Wong "I'm handleing it!"
Wong looked past you and pointed "Zombie!?"
You looked over, seeing the zombie getting close. Stepping away, Stephen walked over to it before casting a spell.
You watched as the zombie, went limp and fell motionless to the ground.
Sighing, you walked past it cautiously, and down the stairs, meeting Wong on the landing.
Looking down at your leg he pointed "What did that?"
Hearing a soft padding nearby, you peered into the next room to see the headless scarecrow wandering around, bumping into walls.
"That."
He frowned before lifting his hands and casting a spell. You saw as the scarecrow went stiff before falling to the ground. "Animation enchantments, are always tricky, and risky!" He finished with a pointed look towards Stephen.
Stephen, walking past you made his way into the library "I'm going to cast the disenchantment!" He called back over his shoulder.
"You're just now doing that?" Wong asked angrily as he followed him.
"In his defense we've been a bit distracted." You said while following behind
Hearing a loud shriek, you jumped as you looked back behind you. Seeing a large banshee decoration flying around above you, you looked over your shoulder at Wong, who stared bewildered at it.
Looking back as it spotted you, and began to fly a you with a loud shriek, you turned and ran into the library.
Quickly, you and Wong closed the doors, just in time to hear the banshee smash against the doors with a loud thud.
You winced before looking back at Stephen. "Any time now."
As Stephen began reciting the spell, you walked further into the room, stopping, when you felt a sharp pain at your ankle.
Gasping as you looked down you saw a large black snake latched onto your ankle. Wong, running over, grabbed the snake, pulling it from your leg, before he tossed it into a large vase.
You gripped our ankle as blood trickled out of the bite marks. "Son of a bitch!" You complained as you hopped over to a chair.
Stephen looked back at you with concern, but you motioned your hand at him "Keep going!"
You watched Stephen cast his disenchantment as you heard the shriek of the banshee outside.
Frowning, you looked over at Wong, who had a similar look on his face, as you both began hearing a loud thudding from a nearby room.
As you looked at the doorway, the sound coming closer, you suddenly remember what had been in that room.
Standing up you muttered out "Oh no."
Stephen glanced over, remembering as well "Oh yes."
Wong looked over in confusion "What?"
Hearing the loud footsteps just outside the archway, you both looked over to see the large 15 foot tall skeleton step into view.
You stood still, mouth agape, as the skeleton looked around, casting it's eyes over you before stopping.
Suddenly, it arched back before letting out a loud roar before it came stomping towards you. You and Wong both fell into a defensive position, preparing to take out the large skeleton.
But as it grew closer, you watched as it suddenly went stiff before falling to the ground with a loud thud as the head of the skeleton popped off, ad rolled a few feet towards you, stopping just at your feet.
Letting out a soft gasp, you kicked the head away from you.
Hearing thuds and crashing sounds echo throughout the sanctum, you looked over at Stephen who put his hands down.
Looking over at you, he nodded "It's done."
"Are you sure?" Wong asked.
Walking over to the vase, he reached in and pulled out the now rubber snake before looking back over at Wong. "Yes, I'm positive."
You let out a sigh of relief as you finally let down your defenses. Locking your eyes with Stephen you spoke with an exhausted voice "Net time I say I have a bad feeling about something. Listen."
He smiled and walked over to you, pressing a kiss to your forehead "I promise." He looked down at your leg and frowned "Lets get those taken care of."
Wong stepped over, gently grabbing your elbow and pointing at Stephen.
"Ah ah. I will help Y/n. You go clean up your mess."
Stephen looked back at you and you just shrugged your head as you turned to follow Wong. "Always listen to Wong."
Stephen let out a soft chuckle as he shook his head. Walking over to the large skeleton, he stared down at it and let out a soft sigh.
Hearing quick clattering behind him, Stephen frowned as he spun around to see a large spider running at him. Letting out a soft yelp, he staggered back, before quickly destroying the spider.
Hearing laughter, he looked up to see Wong, hands up, laughing at him. You were behind him stifling your own laughter.
Wong nodded his head with amusement "Payback."
Stephen let out a sigh as he lowered his head, shaking it, as he turned away. "Yeah, I deserved that."

🎃halloween with the avengers and co!🎃
summary: um. you can read so
warnings: this is literally me rambling, haunted places, animated bucky having like double d’s wtf, the most unorganized thing i’ve ever made don’t judge me
a/n: this is so messy but i had so much fun just writing whatever came to mind, apologies for jumping all over the place lol but hope you get a laugh out of it anyways 🤍🤍
Tumblr media
OH MY GOD ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE IVE DONE THIS
BUT YALL SHOULD KNOW THAT THE HOLIDAYS ARE MY FAVORITE THING
I MAY BE AN ATHEIST BUT CHRISTMAS IS THE BEST SHIT EVER
and i honestly spent halloween in my dorm bingeing movies and i’m rewatching werewolf by night and just realized i need to write for halloween so oops
halloween with the team is the best shit ever.
you want to wear a costume? no party like a stark party.
sure, some people are lazy and show up in their suits and call it a day (cough sam cough)
but it’s well made up for by peter and harley both going as tony (and arguing over who did it better) and kamala dressing as carol
yelena and nat would dress up as each other and make fun of the other
“i’m natasha and i’m an avenger and i love tight suits with no pockets so my ass looks good when i pose”
“i’m yelena and i have an addiction to sriracha and versace”
tony was going to show up as himself, but morgan wrangled the stark family into dressing as food. she’s a cheeseburger, obvi
steven convinced marc to go as an archaeologist, but when the latter fronts he instantly yanks off the funny hat and passes it to layla, who’s honestly just there to watch the chaos
wanda goes with her usual sokovian fortune teller costume, but the twins are more than excited to prance around the tower in search of candy
america brings a share of multiversal candy, some of which isn’t… exactly… edible
speaking of which, if you hand out candy instead, you end up setting up a trick-or-treating path in the tower for the younger team members, with each of the rooms serving as a stop
the eternals are split on halloween. ikaris, being the stoic dramatic hoe he is, thinks it’s overhyped. sersei’s happy to see little kids, sprite likes scaring people, you know
but with all of your experiences combined, none of you scare easily
the world’s greatest heroes can tank any horror movie with ease, barely startling at jumpscares or violent scenes
but they DO NOT handle haunted areas well
this is entirely based on my experience at the ohio state reformatory AKA the most haunted prison in the us. i went up for fall break since i used to live near mansfield before we moved, and HOLY FUCK YALL
Tumblr media
THAT SHITS HAUNTED HAUNTED
i sat in the chair room :)
and it felt like someone punched the right side of my face :(
my right eye teared up and got super red :(((
but i got a piece of brick from the chapel :D
probably have an attachment now :((((
anyway, say you convince the team to visit. even better, you rope tony into paying for the ghost tour
every single noise will send the group jumping
bucky pulls a knife out of his pocket the moment you enter the west attic
steve starts out a skeptic but ends up refusing to even enter the chapel
peter freaking out bc “omg sam and colby and shane and ryan were here”
things are just made worse when wanda starts to mumble about “restless energy”
fuck that if the scarlet witch is nervous then you can be too
just finished werewolf by night moving on to the zombie episode of what if?
goddamn animated bucky has bigger tits than me
Tumblr media
are y’all seein this shit
ok back on track
if jack and elsa are somehow involved there’ll be too many werewolf jokes made
but he’s too much of a sweetheart to really protest them
i love them so much and we only have like an hour of them 🥺
scott would dress up as an ant. i’m not taking criticism. he would try to make hope dress up as a wasp but when she refuses cassie does it.
bingeing halloween movies
arguing whether or not nightmare before christmas is a halloween or christmas movie
deciding the only right decision aka it’s a halloween movie stfu
shuri would come up with a slay costume i just know she would 😭
thor and jane would have a cringey couples costume cmon guys it’s literally canon
katy would show up as a hot dog
like the worst discount hot dog costume you’ve ever seen
shang and xialing would be forced to be ketchup and mustard respectively
once again argue with the wall
overall, you’ll have fun. it’ll be chaotic as fuck, but when it comes to the avengers, what isn’t?
hope everyone had a fun halloween! now go buy that discount candy bitches!

Autumn Is Healing (Oct 31st)
Flufftober Day Thirty-One--A Sweet Treat
drabble for steve rogers x super soldier!reader (see previous or series)
Warnings: they are sooooo awkward and soooo fluffy! Vague illusions to Hydra crap and insecure!reader for a bit. WC 2.5k (oops)
Tumblr media
“OW!”
The shout echos in the hallway, rippling in tandem with thumping music from the party. This is already not going the way you planned.
“I think you broke my nose,” Peter Parker whines.
“I’m sorry,” you yell back, still alarmed with the hair on the back of your head standing up. It was a reflex, and your reflexes hurt people. “You scared me, and I just…”
Bucky examines Peter’s nose, but the kid fights him, tears streaming down his painted face. Your punch has smeared one black circle in the middle of eight, including Pete’s two very real, very watering eyes.
Steve rounds the corner with a wig and wide eyes. He heard. Of course, he heard.
“What’s going on?” He takes stunted strides forward in tight, brown leather pants. You notice his gaze slip over you before returning to Bucky.
“She hit me.” Peter points dramatically.
You, in turn, point to one of many fuzzy appendages dangling off the boy. “He put those things on me.”
“They’re legs, Aut!” Pete moves his hands to yell back. “I’m Shelob. It’s a spider. They have legs.”
Bucky shrugs at Steve. “He’s okay. He’s just an idiot.”
“Miste—Sargent Barnes, sir, I don’t wanna bleed on your cat.”
“She’s fine. As is your nose, Parker.” Bucky adjusts Alpine in his arms again, grumbling, “that’ll teach you not to sneak up on super soldiers though.”
Peter can’t help but wipe away more tears, further ruining his makeup, and you feel horrible.
“I’m so, so sorry. I didn’t hear you. I—I was distracted. I—“
Steve immediately looks at you. “Are you okay?”
“I didn’t mean to—he just caught me off guard—“
“What’s your on guard look like,” Peter screeches.
“You know darn well what—“ Steve stops himself, shoulders sagging like a disappointed parent. “Nevermind, let’s get you cleaned up.” He makes to grab a leg before checking to figure out which is the kid’s real arm.
“Nah, I got him. I’ll give Alpine a treat and some water while we fix ‘im up.” Bucky rubs between her ears while jutting his elbow past Peter. “Go on. Into the kitchen with ya.”
Steve leans over to you while they leave. “What is Buck supposed to be?” He stares at the back of his friend’s light grey, boxy suit with a mandarin collar and the slicked back hair. He no doubt saw the gnarly, fake scar across Bucky’s eye the instant he walked in, too.
“Yelena’s idea. Actually, it started with my costume—“ you gesture down and Steve’s eyes follow “—except I didn’t buy it as a costume. I just liked this dress and thought it looked nice.”
“That’s a dress?” He looks you up and down, cheeks flushed by the time his focus is back on your face. “I’m about to go get you a shirt again.”
You shove at his arm.“Not funny. It is, okay. It’s just—“
“Invisible?”
“—sheer. It’s crochet,” you defend. “It was a style back when I was a kid, and I’m finally old enough to…” you clear your throat “…at least I think I’m…”
You weren’t planning to wear nothing but a matching bra and hot pants under it. It was just something cool to layer over a tank and maxi skirt until Yelena practically tossed go-go boots at you and bought bright, colorful eyeshadow like it was her job.
“So you and Buck are…” Steve prods.
You’d forgotten what the question was. What his question was. You’ve got so many others of your own bouncing around your head and this big, styled hair now.
“He’s a character named Doctor Evil, and I’m Felicity Shagwell.”
Steve’s brows shoot up over a grimace.
“A secret agent from the sixties.” You hold up your hands, index fingers together like a gun, and pose.
Tumblr media
He stands there completely baffled, an tinge of pink crawling up his skin, and you think he hates it.
“It’s a movie,” you continue, falling back into a nervous stance in your very tall boots. “Except, Bucky’s character is bald and he refused to wear the cap.”
“Smart man,” Steve grumbles, itching his hairline.
“Who are you? You look…uh…”
Steve’s wearing a long, blonde wig, and you might have guessed he was Thor, but somehow the flouncy cuffed shirt isn’t quite right. Too few buttons are done up through the big ruffles of his top, so a huge portion of his chest is bare. You have to cover your mouth to hide a wanton smile.
“Fabio,” he sighs.
Tumblr media
Even though you don’t know who that is, you cackle at his embarrassment. He looks good but so very uncomfortable.
“In my defense, I didn’t know. Yelena only said she knew of a tall blond that I could dress as and that the costume would be simple.”
She wasn’t technically wrong; it’s just shoes, pants, a top, and something on his head—far less complicated than his tact suit, in fact—but she managed the polar opposite of Steve.
“The widow has a way, doesn’t she?”
“I’ve learned my lesson,” he mutters, nodding. “Wasn’t sure whether to be happy or offended when Sam recognized me right away.”
He’s managed to step just a little closer every time he talks, so Steve’s bare chest now seems within licking distance from your face.
You should not be thinking about that.
“Well, at least we both have fun sleeves,” you chirp instead, looking down at your hands.
It’s all you can say, even though there’s so much more you want to say. You promised yourself you’d tell Steve how you feel tonight, but now that he’s standing here, right there with very tight pants…
“Stupid,” you mumble aloud.
“Hey, no, no. The dress isn’t stupid. You don’t look bad. That’s not what I was—“ Steve gently grabs your shoulders and rubs over the yarn. “Just haven’t seen that picture, I guess.”
Monster Mash plays loud enough to filter into the hall while you two stand in silence, his warm hands and eyes on you.
This is it. Say it. Rip it off like a bandage and then run away if necessary, but you need to tell him—
“Punch?”
Damn. You deflate. “I said I was sorry. Pete came up behind me, and those things are all hairy.“
“No, I meant, do you want some punch? A drink,” Steve smiles and steps back, reaching to rub his neck and then having to fight with random locks of the wig. “Come on. Let’s go in.”
Scott Lang is refilling the punch bowl when you sidle on up to the refreshments table.
“Blood orange life-force with maraschino eyeballs and pineapple visera, anyone? Two pint max for the evening.”
“Very funny,” Steve shouts over the music. He scoops the concoction into small cups.
“Hey,” Scott wiggles in his enormous, saggy bumble bee costume, “it’s Cass—excuse me, Carrie’s favorite.” He points right past you. “You good, pumpkin?”
You turn around to see a girl covered in red from head to toe, and you…you freeze.
You stare at her mock-sullen face, the edges of liquid streaks crusting over, her mair matted with goo, and a memory strikes you so vividly, you’re lost for a moment.
A mission. A bad one. A messy one.
Everything is just red and slippery and quiet. Even in the din of the party, you are alone…if you don’t count the bodies in the room.
The next thing you see is Steve cupping your face in his hands and saying your name—your original name—and cycling through any other—Autumn, Rosie, Soldate—that might bring you back.
You’re outside in the crisp air.
How did you get outside?
“It’s okay. You’re okay. Can you hear me, sweetheart?”
You blink. He’s never called you that before. It makes you feel warm all over, but your fluttering joy is short-lived.
“What did I do?”
This is exactly the reason you shouldn’t tell him. Steve can’t feel anything but fear and pity for you if you’re still losing time.
“You just started shaking. You didn’t do anything to anyone. I thought…thought I was helping you.”
There’s the pity. Right on cue. He thinks you should be better than this by now. You agree, but it is what it is.
You push his arms away to step back and hug yourself though you aren’t cold. It’s not the outfit that’s making you feel exposed now.
“We should have thought to limit the costumes,” Steve finally says, staring at his laced boots. “Never meant to make you uncomfortable.”
Looking up at him, mesmerized by how simultaneously shy and huge he is before you, you don’t know what to do. You could get it over with, take the rejection with the hit of a flashback and hope the heartache is mitigated by its own predictability, or you could spare yourself, hold off until another bad day when you finally tell him. However, that’s not really an option because you know that if you stall any longer, you’ll never do it.
You settle for “you don’t make me uncomfortable, Steve.”
Instead of pointing out how you keep shifting from platformed-foot to platformed-foot or how obsessively you’re fiddling with the knit of your sleeve, he clears his throat.
“Good,” he says, standing tall again and flicking the long blond strands over his shoulder. “I want you to be comfortable around me…with me.”
A soft breeze wafts the hair and now you see the resemblance to the cover of a paperback on one of the shelves in the common room. It makes you smile with a little snort.
“What,” Steve asks curiously.
“I see what you did. I know your ploy.”
He smiles, too, but clearly not understanding what for.
“You’re trying to give the full effect of your costume—get that wind flowing for the dashing hero, huh?”
“Actually, I hate this thing and I promise to never complain about the cowl again,” Steve mutters, scratching at the back of his head, “but if you think it’s dashing—“
“No.”
He looks at you, huge and shy and utterly perfect even when ridiculous. He’s waiting for what you have to say.
“You are dashing.” Yikes, your stomach is churning. “Without the—“ you return to fiddling with your belled sleeve’s hem “—and I appreciate you, ya know, looking out for me, spending time with me—“
“I want to make you happy,” Steve repeats, but that’s not quite the same, is it?
Another flip of your gut has you rushing to get it over with, but you can’t quite pin down the words.
“—and not making fun of all this stuff I don’t know or can’t do. Thank you for being patient with me, and you’re more kind than you should be since I’m—“
“You’re wonderful,” he blurts as his feet hustle to close the short distance between you.
“No, but Steve, what I’m trying to say is—“
His hands cup your face again. “I’m crazy about you, Rosie.”
“—that I l…did you just? What? But I was…”
“Of course I’m around you as much as I can be. I don’t care what we do. I like you. I want to be with you.”
For so long, you thought that all those trips to the Botanical Gardens, all those shared meals and star gazing, all that reading aloud while you gardened was someone keeping tabs on you. You thought he was assigned to guard you because no one trusted you to be alone, but maybe…just maybe, you were wrong.
Your voice is small and breathy. “That’s what I was gonna say.”
Steve smirks and absently licks his lips. “Good. I’m glad you want me. All the time, I hope, because I know I need to be around you. It hurts when I’m not.”
His expression doesn’t falter as his thumbs roll over your cheeks gently.
Your hands raise up to cover his. “You did the Cap speech thing—“
“Right. Sorry.”
“—kinda stole my thunder,” you finish.
“Force of habit,” he shrugs, bright blue eyes intent and somehow not at all apologetic, his gaze flickering down to your mouth momentarily. “Say it anyway?”
It should be even easier since you know, since he’s punctured the balloon of fear. It should all flow right out.
But it doesn’t.
Your chest is tight like a vice, your mouth full of cotton. You’ve practiced (out loud and written) a few different ways to ask, but you can only think of the one that made you laugh, the one that seemed so silly you knew you’d never say it.
“You wanna go steady with me, Steve Rogers?”
He grins.
He may be close to a modern man, but Steve still likes the old ways better sometimes. This is one of those things that feels right for a centenarian and a woman over sixty—technically—but while he awaits the inevitable joke about maturity between the sexes from Natasha, Steve’s had dreams about this moment.
“I’d love nothing more, Rosie.”
His lips against yours are soft as satin, capturing short little kisses that make you mewl without realizing. As his hands drop from your face to your waist, skimming across your nearly-bare skin and tangling in the open knit to pull you close, you notice how rough the pads of his fingers are. He mumbles an apology when you both feel a thread snag, but you don’t care. Your hands accidentally yank at the long wig when you grip around his neck.
“Sorry,” you say, too.
Steve doesn’t break away; he pulls you closer, close enough for the naked expanse of his chest to press against the exposed bits of skin on your breasts. The sharp inhale this elicits only broadens how much of you touches him. You can feel an electric shiver devour your nerves all over. You moan and grip a little harder into the fake hair.
“Hate this thing,” he answers right into your skin before you open for him again. “Gonna throw it in the fire.”
You chuckle straight into his mouth.
Just when his tongue begins to dance with yours, there’s a flash but not of heat. Luckily, this distraction has you less apt to startle, so you don’t flinch.
“Shit,” you hear Yelena mutter from the other side of the window to your left, and footsteps follow to signal her retreat.
Steve retracts anyway, stepping back to wipe at his mouth and stare guiltily at the concrete sidewalk. He chuckles to himself.
“Been meaning to do that for a while.”
“Me, too.”
There’s a fiery, awkward moment of staring before he swallows thickly and rights his posture.
“Well, I suppose if she’s got photographic evidence that I had this thing on, I can just—“
Steve carefully pulls the wig and several pins from his head, leaving his normal hair as disheveled as removing the cowl—it’s glorious—then he leans back toward you.
With one of those rough fingertips, he tucks some of your big, goofy hair behind an ear and says, “now. I owe my girl a sweet treat, don’t I? Perhaps something not blood related.”
You’re not sure what on Earth could be more of a treat or sweeter than Steve Rogers, but he can try if he likes. You’ll be right here beside him, where he wants you, where you belong.

Love Bites-Jack Russell x Reader (Werewolf By Night)
Summary: You've been friends with Jack for years. He's told you about his secret once but believe it's just a joke. Quickly you find out that he's been honest with you for a reason.
(I kinda got inspired by the Ice Nine Kills song 'Love Bites' since I'm an alternative/goth girl that likes to include these sort of things, also since it's inspired on An American Werewolf In London and it immediately came to my mind after watching this special. So, this will be a Jack x Reader one shot, maybe it's just me but I didnt enjoy Elsa that much since I'm afraid she's a bit too bitchy but maybe that's my opinion. Anyways enjoy.)

🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙
Soft classic music continue to play throughout the room filled with expensive and unique paintings, ancient relics and the heads of many monsters that were once hunted.
I huffed to myself and kept on looking at the fireplace, paying attention to anything as simple as that since I didn't want to listen to the few hunters around me. My parents were known well hunters along with the Bloodstone family, though for many years they have been rivals.
My father loved hunting for any sort of monsters, the ones who are a true threat to society and will do anything to harm anyone in their path, though they were certain and had a few friends that were considered monsters but truly weren't.
Or that's the tales I've heard people tell amongst each other. My parents mysteriously disappeared when they both left to go on a mission, I still miss them though.
Speaking of monsters I began to search around the place noticing just one person was missing. To my right I noticed Verussa talking to her step-daughter, we made quick eye contact but we both looked away quick, glaring at whatever was closest to us.
Today us six hunters have gathered for Ulysses Bloodstone's funeral, and for one of us to be in possession of the red stone.
The sour expression on my face quickly faded when I noticed someone walking through the short hall. Immediately I rose up from my spot on the couch and I felt my heart betting faster and smiling lovingly at the man who had just arrived.
"Jack."
The tall man looked down at me and quickly took a step back when he realized how close I had gotten to him. "You're too awfully close, (Y/N)." Jack said going back to his awkward self and his accent still strong as ever.
"How've you been? It's been months since I last saw you." I've become worried after all these months he's been avoiding me.
Jack looked around room we were at so gently he took my shoulder and made me walk away so we wouldn't be heard.
"I-I know it's been long..forgive me but remaining far from you means that you'll remain safe."
"I can take care of my own, Jack. I believe it's you who needs saving." Jack's expression softened when I tell him this.
Without a warning I lean closer to him until I wrapped my arms around him. I feel Jack's body stiffen when I hugged him, I felt him pat my shoulder until he grabbed my shoulders and pulled me off of him.
I smiled up at him sadly when I felt that he didn't want me anywhere near him. "I think you're just in some deep trouble and don't want to tell me the truth." I whisper to him.
I don't think he's a werewolf. Maybe he did something bad and simply wants to hide the truth from me.
"If only you'd knew, (Y/N)." Jack looked away from me and began to walk over to where the bright red stone was glowing. "Beautiful isn't it?" He said changing the subject quick.
I decided to play along and follow him. I stared down at the stone and looked at how truly beautiful, unique and powerful it is.
"So rare and beautiful."
I glanced over to him and noticed him not looking at the stone. I fought back a smile and tried to hide my blush but failed. We were interrupted when Jovan, one of the hunters came to our side.
"Aye take it easy ya lovebirds." The taller man said chuckling to himself. "Fifty seven confirmed kills myself. Next year's my 30th season.
"I can almost smell the blood on your hands."
"Thank you. Aye I like the whole look with the makeup. It's a killer trademark."
"It's to honor my ancestors." Jack replies looking at Jovan then briefly meeting my eyes. My face also being just a bit covered in darker makeup, mostly around the eyes and with black lipstick.
The man looks at Jack and I before nodding his head. "Yeah. Not much for honoring my ancestors and feelings like that. I just know it looks brilliant on you." The taller man says in his thick accent.
"I mean. I know the importance and anonymity in our line of work, but it gets lonely. Just want to say I'm proud to be honoring old Ulysses tonight."
"Ulysses, of course! Hard to believe he's gone." Jack says turning to face Ulysses closed coffin. I remain standing close to Jack.
"Aye the mad bastard. Quite a place he built himself."
I must admit the decor and everything here is quite beautiful and I would for sure love to live in a place like this, only thing to get rid of would be Verussa and this place would be peaceful. Jovan and Jack continue to look at the decor around the room.
The heads belonging to monsters.
"So, any of these hacked beasties your handiwork?" He asks looking at Jack.
We look around until Jack's eyes land on s vampires head. "No... No, but him. Him I fought a few times." He says pointing at the head. "He's never looked so alive."
This earned a chuckle from the older man, both of them continue to joke around until Javon behind to ask me a couple of questions. "What would your parents think of this?" or "Do you have more siblings to keep the bloodline going? That way you'll continue to hunt."
The next one was if Jack and I ever encountered each other during our hunts. I answered that we would often run into each other, which was sort of of a lie, it would be me chasing after Jack and making sure he would be alright at times.
I would tease him and tell him "When are you finally going to accept on going on a date with me?" or also "It gets rather lonely without your company."
Jack would simply remain silent and slowly inching away from the conversation when Javon would listen intently and chuckle, also agreeing that he sort of met his wife the same way.
Jack was saved from his embarrassment when Verussa told us to gather around, she soon began to count on how many monsters we have hunted throughout.
The older woman rounded each of us. "Twenty Seven." with me being the shortest kill count. "Thirty seven kill. Forty three. Fifty seven quite impressive. And over One Hundred deaths give or take." She pointed looking at Jack who looked at her surprised.
"So many death dealers in one room. Oh, my dear." I furrow my eyebrows together when Verussa turns to her husband's coffin. Elsa from behind us takes her time in painfully moving a chair that loudly sounds throughout the room
"Thank you for gathering in ritual for shedding your masks tonight in honor of Ulysses Bloodstone. He was a leader, a friend, s liver without equal. Knowing his spirit would not be with us tonight to stayed his wishes for the ceremonial hunt, he orchestrated his present in other ways."
The coffin slowly started to open and I stare at the man's cadaver surprised, repulsed and sick. Doesn't anyone believe that is kinda disturbing? The rotting body begins to move like a puppet, like a sort of Frankenstein. An audio beging to play of the man's voice.
"I do hope my attendance delights you. Thank you, Verussa, for seeing it through and for shaping our cause like no other."
The rest of us exchange weird looks while we continue to stare at the corpse.
"With my passing, it is now time to choose a new leader in the crusade against monsters. This honor can only be bestowed upon  the strongest and most committed to our mission. Very soon, a monster unlike anything you faced will be released into the sacred grounds. The hunter who slays this beast will become our new leader, taking possession of my Bloodstone. Good luck. I'll be rotting for you."
I scoff at the awful humor and turn to face Jack who doesn't seem a bit surprised now at the corpse.
"The onto weapons permitted tonight have been placed in the garden. The stone will be affixed to the monsters hide. This will weaken it and also make it angry." Verussa says saving up the stone.
"Hold up. The stones finally up for grabs and we all earned the right to hunt, but she gets to crash this thing like it's a backyard wedding?" One of the hunters say looking back at Elsa who's been giving everyone awful looks.
"He brings up a good point. Where's the lovely lady's medallion?"
"Have you check up your own arse?"
"Elsa is welcome to join!" Verussa loudly says. Great now she's going to continue glaring and praying for my death.
"Let's get this shit over then." I tell myself and stood up following Verussa to know in which order we will be entering the gardens.
We each looked down and quickly saw our hands. Jack would be the first to open with me in second place to follow after him. My family has been fighting for years to earn that Bloodstone. I'll make sure to be the one to have it.
🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙
I continue to walk through the gardens and looked carefully at the few footprints I saw on the ground. Carefully I jumped up and grabbed onto the wall above me, I hoisted myself up and remained quiet when I was above the wall and I remained still seeing someone walking to their right far away.  I held onto a dagger I had quickly found when I entered, I won't hesitate to harm the rest if it means that I'll have the stone
My eyes widened when I noticed Jack straight ahead, quickly and quite as ever I continued to follow him until I had scared him.
"What are you doing stranger?" I tease making him jump back in fear and curse in Spanish to himself.
"You're gonna get yourself killed if you continue doing that."
"I'm going to get you killed if you continue to let me scare you." I correct him. "So, are you truly going after this as well?" I ask when I begin to now wally alongside him.
"What sane person wouldn't?" He laughs it off.
"Not if I beat your ass first." I smile and saw him smirk just a little. We both stopped talking when someone stopped in front of us, we looked and saw Elsa.
Bur before anything could happen Javon appeared quickly attacking her making Jack and I split up from each other. "This feels like something only the Scooby Doo characters would do." I hiss at myself as I continued to run and slide into a hiding place when someone got closer and ran past me when they heard Elsa and Javon fighting.
A monster roared throughout the place making me shiver a bit since it sounded a lot louder from any creature I have fought. I need to see if Jack is alright?!
But where the hell is he?!
"Jack?!" I hiss his name and tried to not be loud while I continue to run through the place. "We need to get-" I stopped when I saw him being held to a bush. My mouth fell open when I saw a giant hand holding him.
Before I had the chance to scream, Jack leapt over to me and covered my mouth with his hands. "Don't scream! (Y/N), this is my friend. His name is Ted."
I stared at him confused, slowly he uncovered my mouth while I stared at him then at the giant odd creature. It looks like something straight from those cheesy 1930's film, the creature from the Black Lagoon.
"Please don't tell me his full name is Teddy." I whisper and continue to stare at the creature a bit afraid of it still. I'm surprised it didn't want to harm Jack.
"Don't worry. She's a friend... Don't say that!..Well, of course I was gonna come find you." I stare between them wondering how exactly he understands the swamp looking thing. He oddly looks cute talking to this thing.
"He sort of looks adorable." I mutter looking at the creature now in awe. I've never seen anything like Ted.
Ted's red eyes turn to me and grunt something only Jack could understand.
"Are you okay?" Jack let's go of me and gets closer to Ted. The monster snarls. "You can't keep counting on me to save you. This is the last time. I know, does it hurt?"
The monster grunts. "Yeah, they said that the stone would do that. Don't worry, I have a plan. Look, so apparently these little things explode. So, we're gonna explode our way out of here. All you have to do is don't die."
We heard something from behind us. Jack reached down for my hand and held it tight, now making me run after him until we entered a mausoleum.
"Are you alright, (Y/N)?!" He asked turning to look at me first and looking down at me to check if I wasn't hurt.
"I'm completely fine." I tell him.
We look back and shut our mouths when we saw Elsa in here as well. Ah great. Jack noticed the dark haired woman with a small limp on her leg.
"You hurt? Can I help you?"
"No." The woman strongly disagreed with him helping her in anyway. It angered me the way she speaks to him.
"He was only trying to be nice." I bitterly told her as well now standing my ground as well.
Jack remained silent since he doesn't like confrontations. He began to pace back and forth now trying to find an exit since we were locked in.
I remained still by the door and I felt a pang of jealousy when Elsa accepted Jack's offer and he knelt down by her side and helped her with the injury. I hugged myself and kept on staring at them and glaring at her a bit before I decided to look away. Maybe the reason why he keeps rejecting my feelings is because he doesn't like me in a romantic way.
"Why don't you two get along?" Jack asked making Elsa and I look surprised at each other.
"Their family stole something that belonged to us." We both said at the same time and looked away from each other.
The monsters outside continued to roar, Ted continue to. I glanced over and saw the many tombs of Elsa's relatives on top of others. She began to climb onto some of them and breaking the small window of one.
I closed my eyes wanting to get a bit of rest but it was interrupted when the door to the mausoleum was now open, I stood back straight and followed both Jack and Elsa out. A plan was being brainstormed until Jack accidentally hit the small bomb switch on.
"Oh, shit." We better run.
I began to run ahead of Jack making sure we wouldn't get attacked by someone first. Jack clumsily threw the bomb onto the wall but it hit further than he wanted it to.
"Jack will you please just set it on the small open piece?!" I asked running away from him when I heard quick footsteps approaching us and I dodged a weapon that was thrown to me.
I looked back ready to fight until the bright Bloodstone turned red and Jack was thrown away from it. Everyone curiously looked down at him and so did I.
"The Bloodstone did this to you?"
"He grabbed it and it threw him back."
Verussa grinned at this. "Oh my. A monster masquerading as one of our own. Desecrating a sacred night." She hissed at ordered someone to hold me back when they began to torture Jack.
I felt a hard hit behind head and my vision e came blurry when I blacked out.
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕🌕
I had blacked out from the massive hit I had received, I held onto my head still feeling an intense pain. I glanced to my left and saw Elsa staring up ahead with a blank expression on her face. I noticed we were replaced inside a huge cage.
A small painful groan was heard next to me along with a few curse words I understood in Spanish. I crawled over to Jack's side and carefully helped him sit himself up.
"Jack! I'm so sorry I didn't believe what you said about you being a monster. I guess..I never wanted to believe that someone like you could harm me..us.."
Jack held his head as well and slowly nodded. "I tried telling you many times. That's why I continued to push you away. I don't want to harm the one person I truly care about."
Jack and I looked at each other and smiled sadly, until he looked away from me and turned to Elsa. He began to explain himself to her, about his other half, the half he has no control of. How he locks himself up every month when there's a full moon.
"We have plenty of time to figure things out!" He said sounding optimistic that we can do something about this.
"And why do you think they've placed us in here with you?" Elsa coldly asked Jack. Realization soon hit me, he'll tear us up if he were to become a werewolf.
"The Bloodstone's capable of transforming you in five seconds. Thanks in advance for making it quick."
"Jack do you really have no control when this happens to you?" I ask afraid of what he'll become soon. I held onto his hands tight when I began to shiver.
Jack refused to meet my eyes, that's until I caught him staring at the many monster heads decorating the room, he stood up looking around until footsteps we heard footsteps approaching. I shrieked when Jack pinned me against the bars and began to breathe against my neck and down to my wrist. I blushed deep red and felt like pushing him away but felt too embarrassed when Elsa looked at him weirdly.
He did the same to her only being a bit more respectful? Should I say.
"I need to remember your scents."
Jack raced over to the bars and stared at the masked hunters hopeful that they'll let us out and kill only him. "Please kill me as I am, or there will be no mercy."
Verussa removed lowered her cloak and removed her mask. "Mercy? This may surprise you but our whole mission is built on mercy for you, and those like you as well as all the innocent lives you take."
The older woman began to talk awful at Elsa and to me as well. Saying how she hoped that I would die soon and that no one else in my family would be alive.
Verussa began to chant in Latin soon. I stared at Jack afraid for him when he began to hold onto his stomach and shiver. Verussa held the Bloodstone to his direction. I fell back on my knees and crawled back in fear holding onto the bars when I heard Jack's limbs crushing and deep growls from him.
I opened my eyes and took a peek and screamed when I saw him yank Verussa by the arm and holding her in place. The top of the cage was now torn and open. I shakily stood up on my feet and saw a guard being ripped apart when Elsa and I took a good look at Jack transformed in his werewolf form.
"We need to get out." Elsa said looking up at the cage. She easily jumped up and hoisted herself up on the cage. "Grab on." She offered me her hand, now without hesitation I took it and made it outside of the cage with her.
Each of us went our separate ways and grabbed whatever weapon we could fight with. Elsa was fighting the rest of the hunters while I began to take most guards down.
I held onto a sword tightly and cut clean one of the guards arms off with blood splattering my clothes and face, easily I decapitated one of them when they grabbed my head and hit me against the wall. "Motherfucker!" I hissed glaring at one of them threw a dagger right next to the side of my face, drawing even more blood down my forehead.
"Jack!" I shouted when I saw more guards trying to kill him. Verussa gripped the back of my head and held a dagger against my neck and the Bloodstone in her other one.
Verussa fell back when Elsa caught her and pulled her so I could get rid from her right grip. I fell forward onto the ground and I saw Jack laying on the ground defeated.
I turned to look back at Elsa then back at Jack. I didn't hesitate so I crawled faster over to him and remained still when I was close enough to him.
"Jack? Are you still in there?" I softly spoke not wanting for anything bad to happen to me or him. All this time I thought he was just joking when he said we had a secret, I feel selfish now for not taking him so seriously.
I carefully reached closer to him until I shrieked and felt my head hit the floor hard when he punched onto me and held me down with his long claws.
I panted and tried to not feel scared. This my Jack Russell not some monster anymore. I stared back up at him, looking into his dark almost unrecognizable eyes. Carefully I placed both my hands against his face and saw him staring at me intently.
"It's over Jack..." I whisper looking at him lovingly. Now fully understanding him.
Jack's werewolf form quickly got away from me and disappeared. "Need help?" Before I had the chance to speak I was hoisted up by Elsa and saw a faint blush across her face.
"We..make a good team." She muttered looking away and now with us both looking at Ted. "Will you be alright?" She asked after a moment of silence.
I nodded my head also feeling embarrassed at her sudden niceness. She smiled just a bit and rested herself on a couch. "Go after him then."
I smiled over at her figure and looked up at Ted. Now taking a full view at how he truly is, red piercing eyes staring into my tired ones. "Can you lead me the way over to him, Ted?"
The creature lightly growled and started to slowly walk ahead, I hurried to his side and followed him until we reached outside of the building and I noticed the bright full moon outside now being covered by the cloudy dark skies.
☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Though I was extremely tired and got no chance to rest, I continued to follow Ted until we reached a wooded area, probably in the middle of the woods. Ted who was now far ahead from me began to run and I felt the ground shake a bit before me.
Strangely enough everything seems more lighter and colorful out here. A peaceful sensation like any other.
I squinted my eyes when I noticed a few things up ahead at where Ted went running off. The only sounds from the forest were of Ted's growls and the sound of a river nearby.
My eyes became watery when I saw Jack back to his human form being sat on the ground looking up at Ted. I began to run across the grass and dead branches until I found myself getting closer to the unusual pair.
"Is (Y/N) safe?"
Ted lightly grunted making Jack stare up at him confused. "What do you mean by they are here-" Jack fell backwards on the ground when I jumped over and threw my arms around his neck.
"Jack you're safe!"
Jack continued to cover himself up with a coat while he held my up so I wouldn't fall with him. He sat himself back up with me being seated right by his side almost on his lap. I hold onto his face and examine his tired eyes as I run my hand through his short dark and grey hair.
"I'm sorry that I ignored your warnings, but I don't regret them since in a way I saved you by being reckless."
I stared into his dark eyes and noticed him looking at me concerned, one of his hands carefully landing on my forehead tracing the dried up blood and small cut.
"Did I do this to you?!" His voiced cracked when he asked me this.
I lightly chuckled at him since he continues to be so concerned over everyone but himself. I shook my head and took his hand now staring down at him lovingly then before.
"You didn't."
"Did I scare you?" He then asks.
"I won't lie and say that you didn't when you first transformed. I soon knew you weren't a threat when you tried to protect me and Elsa. I knew you wouldn't harm me when I looked into your eyes. Into the eyes of the man I've always loved." I admit.
Without permission from Jack I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his. I quickly pulled back regretting not asking for his permission.
"I-I'm sorry Jack! I should've asked first." I started to move away from him but felt his grip tight on my hip.
"(Y/N). You shouldn't apologize, mi amor."
I blushed again now my entire red face being displayed to him. Jack's hand landed behind my neck now slowly pulling me back to him to resume our kiss. I closed my eyes and enjoyed our longer kiss until we slowly pulled away, embarrassed I looked away when Ted gave Jack a look only he could easily read.
"No, no! Quit saying such things, we don't need alone time." He scolded at the creature.
I now sat by Jack's side and heard him exchanging conversations with Ted. Jack now smiling to himself turned to look at me, "I still can't believe this is real...But are you sure in wanting to stay with a man like me, (Y/N)?"
I blushed again when his dark eyes landed on mine. I reached my side to kiss his cheek took hold of his hand.
"I'll forever remain by your side, Jack."
Jack smiled to himself and continued to hold me close to him. "I'm so happy then, my love. Though I wanted to make sure since..in a way werewolves do imprint when they find the love of their lives."
I can feel my entire face burning red when he mentions that. That's means I'm truly his soulmate then.
Ted who was seated a few inches away from Ted happily growled. "I know you're happy I am as well, but are you seriously asking for food right now?"
I happily sigh and rested my head on Jack's shoulder while continuing to hold his hand. I hear Jack chuckle lightly and feel his hand wrap itself around my shoulder keeping me close to him.
"What do you say, mi amor? Does sushi sound nice to you?"
I tiredly open my eyes and nodded my head. "It's settled down. We'll be having sushi and after that we'll be getting a proper rest."
Jack stood up and helped me on my feet. "I know the perfect place for take out. That way I'll make sure to clean your wounds." I reminded Jack and ran my hands through Jack's messy hair.
Jack eagerly nods his head and continues to insist on holding my hand. I continue to hold his tightly while we continue to make our way outside of the woods with Ted by our side.

Your Halloween costume
I know it’s late for Halloween but I thought of this and thought it was adorable and stupid. Imagine all the avengers gather downstairs for Tony’s classic Halloween party, where he’s no doubt pulled out all the stops. Everyone dresses up, no excuses. Bucky sits with the rest of the guys, each talking about what their girlfriends dressed up as.
“Nat went with sexy nurse” Steve blushed, thinking of all the dirty things the red head whispered in his ear before they came down.
“Sasha and I did Barbie and Ken” Sam smiled, looking over to his girl who was draped in pink, smirking when their eyes met.
“Pepper’s wearing a custom iron man suit” Tony grinned, seeing Pepper in his suit, custom with cut outs in all the right places. They all turn to Bucky expectantly, while he sighs, pressing his lips together.
“My girl dressed up as an old lady”
“What”
“yup”
“No, seriously, what did she dress up as”
She’s running around, terrorizing everyone with a cane” Bucky shrugged, his own ass still stinging from when you gave him a whip after calling him a hooligan.
“Like a sexy old lady or-
“Nope. An old lady. With grey hair, glasses and a hobble”
Right on cue, you waddled over, poking Bucky with your stick, grinned when he yelped in surprise.
“What was that for-
“What. Did. I. Say. About. Talking. Back. To. Me” you punctuated each word with a whack from your stick making the others howl while Bucky narrowed his eyes at you.
“Keep that up and I’ll have to use that cane on you instead, grandma” he shook his head while you cocked an eyebrow, keeping your eyes locked with his, poking him again once more. Bucky rose from his seat with a smirk, and while you giggled, running off with him chasing after you, leaving the others behind.
“She moves fast for an old lady”

Note
Perhaps you could draw: a succubus, a siren or Loki with “hair” like Medusa?
