Kalim Al-Asim

I just finished my Floyd analysis and realised how fun it is!So now it's time for Kalim :)

I'm going to start of with stating some facts we know about kalim from the game,then going to give some hc and also to tell the meaning of his name

He is the heir of the asim family:

Kalim is the oldest son of the asim family which means he is the one to be in charge after his father

Has 40+ siblings:

As kalim himself says,he has more then forty younger siblings.With this information we can probably say this is why he is so patient,understanding and genuinly good with people emotionally.

Jamil is his "servant":

We know from the game that Jamils family works for the asim family,and therefor he is kalims "servant".I'm using the term servant lightly,as we know what happend in book 4.I will get more into this later.

Housewarden of scarabia:

Kalim is the housewarden of scarabia,Jamil is the vice housewarden.I know this is well known information,but I will include this in a later point.

The Asim often "donate" money to the school:

We know thanks to Crowley that the Asim family often donate money to the school fund.

Has had multible assination attempts made against him:

Kalim has told us(the player) alot of times about his assination attempts.

Now that we have gotten some basic facts,I would like to dig deeper into his character,why he acts like he does,his motivations ect.

First I would like to start of why he goes to Night Raven College.

Why is this nice guy at this "bad boy" school?Well that's simple,Jamil.Jamil had been accepted inyo nrc,and a few months later kalim enrolled.Why was it that kalim was able to enroll at nrc at a later date then the other characters?His parent's "donations".Well the aren't real donations,more like a sort of bribe.

His parents(dad) not only donated to the school,but also to the scarabia dorm,which is most likely why he got the housewarden title from the old housewarden..

If Kalim had not gone to nrc I think Jamil would have gotten the housewarden title.But since Kalim goes to nrc,that did not happend.In most of his life Kalim has almost always gotten whatever he wants/be first place and with this,Jamil is always second.

Now to my next point,Kalim and Jamils relationship.

I don't think in a Kalim analysis we can't talk about his and Jamils realtionship,as it affects alot of his charcter.

So what kind of relationship does Kalim and Jamil have?From the surface level,the have a MasterxServant relationship.But upon further viewing they have a mix of childhood friends/masterxservant.

But how does this affect Kalims own character?Well becuase how their roles play out.

Kalim is really important,he is the heir of the asim family,so he's kinda like a prince.So they really need him to be safe and healthy.And with Jamil being his srvant,he has to make sure his master is safe from any harm.AKA Jamil does everything for kalim,so Kalim litrally has no independance.Making him kinda useless when it comes to basic tasks.

He can't fend for himself.Even after the events of book 4 where Kalim says that they will stand on equal footing,that doesn't change,Jamil is still babying kalim,it's not until the aftermatch of book6 that we begin to see some change in their relationship,a small one at that but still some sort of change.

But also Kalim rushing to Jamil in book 6 and tackeling him when the ob gang comes back is soo cute.

Anyway,next point.Why is Kalim such an airhead?

As stated before,Kalim has survived dozens of assination attempts,which to me kinda seems like he lives so carefree life becuase it might end early.He might never know when his final moment is,is it when he is an old man,or when he still is a kid?

But on a more positive point,let's talk about emotional intelliget.

We know Kalim isn't the brightest in the shed when it come's to school,but emotionally?He is a genius in that department.

In book 4,his dormmates speak of him when they emotionally have felt bad,he comforted them and help them.Then in book 5 he helpt Deuce after that small "argument" with Vil.We can see how intelligent Kalim truly is,and I don't think we give him enough credit for that!!!

Know onto my lasts point,I would like to talk about the meaning of his name and some of my own hc!

First of,what does Kalim mean?

"The name Kalim (Arabic writing : كاليم) is a Muslim boys Names. The meaning of name Kalim is " Interlocutor, speaker ""

"The meaning of Kalim is “Lecturer”. Keep in mind that many names may have different meanings in other countries and languages."

"The name Kalim is of Arabic origin, and is used mostly in English speaking countries but also in a few other countries and languages of the world."

"Asim,Meaning:Savior, protector, guardian. A boy's name of Arabic origin, Asim is a name for the brave. Meaning “savior” and “protector,” baby boy can imbibe the meaning of his name, becoming a stout defender of not only others but himself."

I could not find anything for the al- in his name(I know he says something about it in the game,I just can't find it).

Now that we have gone over the meaning of his name,it's time to bring in some hc.

I believe that Kalim has adhd.

Here are som signs

Based on the types of symptoms, three kinds (presentations) of ADHD can occur:

Combined Presentation: if enough symptoms of both criteria inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity were present for the past 6 months

Predominantly Inattentive Presentation: if enough symptoms of inattention, but not hyperactivity-impulsivity, were present for the past six months

Predominantly Hyperactive-Impulsive Presentation: if enough symptoms of hyperactivity-impulsivity, but not inattention, were present for the past six months.

Because symptoms can change over time, the presentation may change over time as well.

now that I'm done with this,I recommend to read some other Kalim analysis!!And once again if I made mistake,please tell me so I can correct myself and not spread misinformation.And add things if you wanna

I just love this couple. I did decent on the anatomy of Remilia, but Sakuya's shoulders and arms need to be lowered considerably.

let's go with saber alter for character question

How I feel about this character: A favorite of mine. But not entirely a top one.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: I am in between Jalter and EmiAlter (The Archer of the OVA. Not the blackened one for any specification)

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: As MasterxServant would be Dark Sakura.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Hmm...I don’t mind that she didn’t get her H+ Scene.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I honestly don’t have much to say about her. I am ok with what she’s got so far.

Favorite friendship for this character: I’d say her one with Jalter. It is funny.

My crossover ship: For the sake of shits and giggles Alter x Vader (Pre-Suit)
