i have a request for a lestappen fic inspired by delicate by ts, it’s been in my head for a while and i think you could do it justice

I’m so sorry it took me so long to answer this!!! I’m practicing my actual fic writing so i’m gonna use that on this i hope you don’t mind. i know it’s just a blurb but i’m really insecure about it 😭

“Delicate” as in charles is trying to live up to the expectations set for him by the world and max is just there for him. charles keeps pushing him away and max doesn’t understand why. all he wants is to show him that he loves him and charles is refusing him. max is absolutely infecting charles with adoration… and also jealousy? they are the same age. why can’t charles be like max. why can’t charles do what he set out to do and why does he have to love a man who can. slowly it becomes mental anguish for the ferrari driver. the same for max. he starts imagining that they are dating, pretending charles belongs to him. max finds himself becoming a little too protective during those press conferences. he starts reading into things. lays awake at night after a quick fuck (after which charles basically banished him from his hotel room) and stares at the ceiling wondering if charles is dreaming of him, like he is charles . one day, after a particularly rough quali, where all max wants to do is hold his boy, in a drivers room, it all comes to a head. “Is it too soon to do this yet?” max spits at charles. “I know- I know that this is delicate.” charles doesn’t know what to say. if he spills it all out , everything he thinks, there is every chance in the world that max will walk out that door. and to charles it’s better if it’s his choice, not max’s.
