Modelling in Maya - Building Muscle Memory

When I returned to my 3D studies I wanted to dedicate time towards learning Maya. I found a very thorough course on hard surface modelling and planned to follow it while simultaneously working on my final project.

I started by modelling a dye just to get into the basic interface of Maya and where to find everything. The instructor also demonstrated how to set up a custom toolbox specifically for this type of modelling which I found very useful.

Afterwards, I modelled a metal can. This was more complex than the first exercise but I learned how to approach more complex and organic topology through early problem solving and analysis of the object's surface.

There are 4 more modelling demos as part of the course and I plan to work on them when I'm not working on my final project.
