CLONE WARS BEACH DAY HEADCANONS:

Padme takes the group on a much needed beach day on Naboo near the lake house

Rex is trying to keep everything under control but gives up 5 minutes in and decides to have fun.

Tup doesn't want to get his hair wet but Fives obviously ends up dumping water on him.

Anakin and Ahsoka's goal for the end of the day is get obi wan wet. *Spoiler Alert* They succeed, and Obi wan almost kills them.

When the day is over the group all sits on the beach and watches the sunset, while Anakin and Padme try and fail not to make goo goo eyes at each other, Ahsoka and Rex are leaning on each other (platonically), Obi wan is only slightly drunk and all the clones are in awe.(Except Dogma, pretty sure he doesn't show emotion.)

Maybe I'll make a part two talking about each of their swim suits/outfits. We'll see. 🤷‍♀️

I love how there's one Richard hater who's doing rounds on everyones blogs, leaving stupid asks. Using the exact same sentences about the exact same topics.

You gotta wonder if they truly dislike him - and it's fine if they do, whatever - why would they put so much time and effort into him? Why would you want to constantly see the person of your dislike and talk about him? Is it truly hatered, or is it masking something else?

Either way, I think they're long overdue in quitting this nonsense. At least on Richard-centric blogs.

99% of us are not blind to Richard's faults. 99% of us do not keep him on some sky high pedestal. He's a broken person just like the rest of us. Just like you, dear hater. But just like in all of us, there's also something beautiful in him, and that's what we can openly admire.

Hello 👋 I think in this fandom, we're somehow used to unimaginative and impertinent anons - better to ignore them altogether I guess 🤷‍♀️

I said it once and I'll say it again (probably until the end of time), it is absolutely beyond me why people put their precious time and energy into trying to bring Richard down, painting him like THE worst guy who ever existed and in general spending time on a person they seemingly don't like. It's like with everything else - you don't like it, you don't watch it/don't listen to it/just click away/unfollow certain blogs. It's that simple and brings you inner peace if needed. I sometimes do wonder if there's a superior motif to it, if Richard portrays something which people can't seem to face or are uncomfortable with (his openness as a man, which isn't that common maybe, or his honesty that yes, working in a group with 5 other individuals can be one hell of an exhausting ride everytime you enter the studio). Either way: Just don't send nasty comments or hate. It doesn't change anything and just comes across as desperate and very mean spirited or just shows how little research you do before you type. This as a whole is not a good look energywise, that's for sure.

Richard is neither a saint nor a villain, and he doesn't have to be either. People don't fit into drawers with specific labels most of the time, let alone in the creative world, and that's what makes them interesting. Richard has a lot of interesting sides to him, lovable quirks, made some very questionable choices and had very rough times resulting from it. You should never put people on a pedestal because they're just people like you and me, but I think he learned a lot in his life and even more important, he was open to learning, to better himself and get himself the help he needed.

And I think that's admirable.

Tbh, for all the development the internet has been going through, it's not a well-regulated place, as a whole. So, for better or worse, there will be negative comments. Like. It's nature. A given.

Ngl at this point maybe just take him/her off the Internet until the show dies down. It'd work better than hoping for the criticism to be civil.

And there will be disappointment. I guarantee you. Out of 10 live actions I'm aware of, 11 of them are disappointing. One Piece (Netflix), Gintama, Gambling Academy are the rarest of the rare to have made it to meet the readers' expectations, afaik. And even then: two of them are Japanese with highly skilled actors/actresses, the other (OP) involves Oda Eichiro himself as a strict supervisor. I don't watch it but I think Heartstopper did a good job too?

And we're talking about Disney? I, with all due respect (which is none), do not trust Disney. I don't have a reason and I don't need one Chances are they'll try to make some changes to it and it'll all be a bloodbath again smh.

Nico di Angelo, whilst just a deuteragonist/ side character/ plot device (?), has a widespread effect on a minor community. Many, many have considered him some sort of emotional anchor/support (i don't have the English capacity for this lmao). As in: his existence - and along with that, a certain image of him - matters to a number of readers. And though that's not how I connect to him, I do think the number is not small.

To have an image you've been holding dear replaced by another that might or might not be totally different? - Some can accept that. Some cannot. And that's not unnatural or unethical.

I have to say, though, the kid who takes up the role isn't at fault either. I'm sure they'd try their best to bring Nico to the screen, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with wishing to bring out the best in playing your character.

But there are many factors contributing here. Do you think the kid would be free from criticism as long as they do a good job at it? I don't think so. The kid does nothing wrong, but that doesn't mean all the audience has to like him. That's not how entertainment works, no matter what Twitter tells you (hell even in life you'd have someone/thing you dislike right?).

The moment one concludes that the kid is not the Nico they want to see, they will consider leaving, and they can.

What matters here, though, is that those who turn it down don't go online spilling nasty things about the kid, and the rest don't suddenly become SJWs and go around harassing anyone not liking the in-show Nico.

Depends on if you pissed him off or not. He'd try to respect you as he feels like that's what a hero should do. If you were a pain in his ass before abduction then he'd mock you to get it out of his system.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

Jack claims he wouldn't but he totally would. He puts up this whole hero delusion but is actually just a horrible person. He'd force you into things and gives you the illusion of choice.

He isn't a good man

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Jack is not very vulnerable except if he had a mental break down. He does show some care towards you but it comes out twisted due to his self-absorbed personality. So... not much/he doesn't express it unless he's in a poor mental state (poorer than he already is)

Upset and betrayed. He also feels anger which results in him throwing a fit. If you fought him then he'll fight back. Barely any remorse might I add? Jack would call you entitled and bratty for fighting his obsession.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

He may take you running around the place he keeps you in as a game at first then quickly changes his mind. He doesn't like you trying to escape and it can quickly get on his nerves.

Ohhh... where do I start? The time he killed your family and friends in front of you? The first punishment he gave you that really hurt you? Maybe even the time he first kidnapped you?

Jack is bad news... it's hard to choose just one.

He likes the idea of a romantic partner to both dress up and be intimate with. He sort of sees you as an accessory at times. He does adore you in his own twisted way but he's one for keeping up appearances too.

He wants to "make Pandora a better place" and have you along for the ride.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

Yes and he lashes out. Jack's killed countless people, killing someone he's jealous of isn't that hard. He also has an unstable temper.

He'd lash out at you verbally and kill others he's mad at. Jack's terrifying when he's mad.

If he's in a bad mood he may rant, scream, or have a break down/argument. He calms down afterwards but you still have to hear it. He's extremely unstable and you have to try and learn his behavior as his darling.

Most of the time he's suffocatingly touchy and affectionate. He flirts with you and wraps his arms around your waist.... He is clear with what he wants.

Once he does, however, Jack will stalk you and track what you do in Pandora. Soon he'll play savior and take you away, even faster if he suspects you of being in contact with the Vault Hunters.

He'll keep his eye on you for a bit. You'd have to somehow find yourself involved with him for him to have an interest. Like saving him, one night stand, being past partners/allies, a number of things could work honestly.

He takes time to fall for you... but when it happens you'll wish you never met him.

i have so much respect for luca guadagnino as a director, i really liked bones and all, suspiria, and cmbyn, but challengers just wasn’t it for me 😭😭 i thought the plot was mediocre and the movie was overall sloppy and felt a bit half baked. the things i loved about cmbyn was that, even in the hard to watch bits (the peach scene, etc), those scenes carried a lot of symbolism and weight to the movie, which i didn’t see in challengers as much if at all. i thought the soundtrack was A. overhyped and B. played at times where it might have held relevance (like showing a connection between scenes), but overall sounded choppy in terms of editing and not well thought out in terms of placement throughout the plot. another thing is, while the actors might have had great chemistry, i dont think they were the most fitting for the roles they played, and i thought (while her facial acting was great and admittedly got better toward the end) zendaya wasnt quite in her element for the first half or so for the movie.

im not really sure what else to say other than that, personally, i dont believe its a testament to what guadagnino's mind can do, and i didnt enjoy it as much as everyone is saying i should have

but to each their own!! and i love blonde mike faist so what did we really lose here 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

When was the last time you cried? Last week. I used to cry a lot, but lately, it's become more seldom. Today it's one year since I finally broke up with my last boyfriend, and my brain is going through things I'm not always conscious of lol. Also, I shed some tears when I watched the final episode of Dopesick (I can't recommend that TV show highly enough), but then that's very common when I watch media.

Reflections on the WBN showing in D.C.

Seeing people's varying reactions to the color version of Werewolf By Night reminded me in a roundabout way of one of the things that happened at the showing of it in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

That's Michael Giacchino and Kevin Feige in front of the National Symphony Orchestra in the Kennedy Center.

First, it's a whole different experience watching a movie with several hundred others rather than in your home with a dozen people or less. Second, probably half of the crowd hadn't seen the special before. They were there for the music or Giacchino or the partial horror movie soundtracks the orchestra performed.

Before I forget, let me say I heard A LOT more of the special thanks to the Kennedy Center's excellent sound system. My husband and I aren't audiophiles. We only have the speakers built in to our TV, laptops, etc. If you can, watch WBN somewhere with a good sound setup. You'll hear the characters breathing, subtle sound effects, etc.

One thing that hit hard was hearing werewolf Jack's labored breathing after Verussa had pinned him to the closed metal door with the Bloodstone. He obviously was hurt, but the sounds conveyed his suffering.

Anyway, on to the thing that prompted this post.

The audience reacted to the special as one would expect for the most part. Hearing people gasp and shout from jumps scares and the mildly scary parts* was fun. People laughed at the humor... and one other thing.

A minority of people laughed when Jack sniffed Elsa to commit her scent to memory.

That scene is 95% not funny, at least to me.

Some people find it hot. I do to a degree, I'll admit. It's intimate, but in a boundary-crossing way. Jack's doing it because he's desperate to not kill Elsa.

When I first saw it I was shocked that Elsa allowed it. I'd be like get the fuck off me, creep! I'd fight to get free.

What Elsa says to Jack is a bit amusing. Then the "Once" comment happens and it's an emotional gut-punch. Quite the roller coaster over the span of a minute or two.

I found it slightly disturbing that some people found Jack sniffing Elsa immediately funny. To me it smacks of rape culture. You do not get in another person's space and restrain them. DO NOT. Finding it funny makes it worse. "Ha ha, it's just sniffing. You're fine. No harm done. Stop being so sensitive."

Maybe I'm overthinking it all, but that bit of laughter really got to me. It's two days later and I'm still thinking about it. 🤷‍♀️ * I'm a wuss when it comes to watching horror, so the fact that I wasn't scared says it's not really scary. 😂

First-Impression thoughts on Hazbin Hotel's "official" first ep, now that I checked it out on YT-

*Spoiler warning below for those who didn't see it yet-*

-Great to see Charlie & Vaggie again, still a wholesome lil supportive pair whilst having their own quirks/things to do on the side. Esp with Vaggie spending the whole time back at the hotel reshooting a whole commercial for Charlie's sake, awww :3

-Pleasantly surprised by the twist of Charlie's mom being the figure she was most inspired by to make her dream come true, along with her love for singing. Curious to see where Lilith's whereabouts could be if she's been away for so long?

-The new voices were... a mixed bag, I suppose? Mainly in the line/tone-deliveries for certain characters (& I guess I'm still moreso used to the OG pilot's portrayals lol), but I can see the good attempts made from those like Charlie & Alastor.

-I... don't know how I feel about the way Lucifer's backstory was handled? Like, yeah its interesting hearing of him & Lilith genuinely connecting over their "rebellious" natures (& thus fleeing from Heaven's wrath/staying in Hell to be together). But then, the whole thing with Lucifer apparently being some "doofy, misunderstood dreamer who only wanted the best for Humanity, got bullied by those mean ol' angels, and didn't meaaaan to spread Sin all across Earth~ 🥺🥺" ...ehhhhh, felt kinda lame imho 🤷‍♀️. Not that I mind giving nuanced/sympathetic angles to a character's development now & then... but with someone like Lucifer (who mind you, is meant to represent the "Ring of Pride" on top of his Hell-ruling duties), I guess I kinda expected more... "bite" to his portrayal, I guess? .3. But idk, maybe that's just me... (*Tho admittedly, one could argue that perhaps he and/or Lilith were simply lying in that storybook to make them look less "bad"... idk, given HB's track record with Stolas' writing and since both shows are made by the same people... part of me can't help having my doubts ^^; *)

-Adam... ooooooh boi .x.;; Ever since I saw his leaked design I've always been rather... "mixed" about him, and now seeing him on-screen & talking I... don't really get the concept behind him? I mean, yeah I'm all for a fun, chaotic-jackass type when done right (hell I still consider Blitz among my faves to this day lol). But with Adam apparently being the big leader behind Heaven's army, AND was even the "original" Adam from biblical times... how tf did he get the chance to be allowed in Heaven if he not only helped curse humanity to sin (aka: sharing Forbidden Fruit with Eve), but on top of him currently being a horny, misogynistic loudmouth? 🤨Discounting that is also the fact that his whole design vibe just... doesn't really give me "holy army leader" vibes, but more-or-less just Blitz in some weird angel cosplay lol 🤷‍♀️. No shade to those who genuinely do like Adam though (and I'll admit his song was surprisingly catchy lol), I just... feel like his whole personality/design vibe could've probably fit better to a fallen angel-type character (or even a demon-angel hybrid if you wanna play more into the Heaven vs. Hell conflict), someone who only takes up the "Adam" title as an ego trip to enact his revenge against Hell... or, something like that idk; my brain's tired lol. (*His sidekick Lute seems pretty cool tho, she kinda reminds me of Tempest Shadow from MLP in a way .3.*)

-Nice to see more of the old Hotel gang again, esp those like Nifty she was a cute :3 (her whole reaction to the camera honestly being a whole mood lol)

-Did not expect to see Brandon Rogers pop up voicing Katie Killjoy of all people, buuuut I guess I can see the amusing comparison potential to that one CEO persona of his lol

....Aaaaaand yep, that's about the gist of my first-impression thoughts atm .3. Dunno if I'll be sitting down to watch the whole season of Amazon's Hazbin atm (*'cause like, I do have Amazon Prime, buuuuut I rarely ever use that to watch shows (save for some classic cartoons here & there lol) .w.; *), but I'd say it was still generally a decent watch for what it is imo👍(+any chance to see my girl Vaggie again, the better~ x3💜)

do you ever consider that maybe we’re a little too caught up and stuck in the taekook bubble that we are over analyzing every tiny thing way too much and that taekooks interactions just aren’t actually as deep as we’re assuming? ofc they’re close but sometimes i double back and think i’m just too focused on their interactions so every tiny thing they do i am blowing out of proportion. especially when i watch content of the whole group, regular footage from award shows etc. i feel a bit ridiculous believing two of the members are actually in a relationship. ofc their relationship is not meant to be noticeable but rlly sometimes i think i am just having taekook tunnel vision. we see so little of their lives and interactions, i’m sure they have super deep and meaningful relationships w ppl that we don’t even remotely know about. sometimes i think we believe just bc tae and jk r the closest that we can know of, but there’s so much we don’t see

It took me a while to come around to the idea of taekook being real, anon, so when I finally did, I was pretty confident about it. It wasn't a random or split-second decision, and I certainly don't have a habit of thinking kpop ships are real. I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I dont believe in taekook because I want or need them to be real. I believe in them because that is the logical conclusion for me after everything we've seen from them. One or two 'suspicious' or 'interesting' moments might not be a big deal, but we're talking about consistent patterns of behaviour and multiple questionable moments year after year after year.

Do the things taekook do tend to get over-analysed? Yes. Does that automatically mean we're seeing something that isn't there? No. Of course we're biased, but that doesn't mean we're completely incapable of critical thinking. I never assume that everything they do is related to each other, nor do I view everything they do as proof that they're in a relationship.

People meet and fall in love with each other all the time in all different types of situations, anon. What's so ridiculous about it happening to taekook? Some people like to act like the chances of it happening are zero, and I don't understand why. I'm certain people have fallen in love in much stranger circumstances.

Yes, we see so little of their lives, but why are you assuming that what we don't see would show us that taekook are not together when it could just make it even more obvious? We probably see the bare minimum, and they're still suspicious enough to have people like us taking notice of them. BH have tried their hardest over the years to hide the true nature of taekook's relationship, yet so many people still clocked on to the way they would behave around each other and how their relationship seemed different to the rest of the members.

I would never blindly believe without questioning things, but nothing I have seen from taekook in 2023 has made me doubt their relationship. If anything, their antics last year has only solidified my belief 🤷‍♀️
