Writer Q&A Game
Thanks to @clairelsonao3 for tagging me!
1. What motivates you to write?
I'm not exactly sure tbh. It almost feels like a compulsion. There are days where I simply do not feel good in my body if I haven't written anything. Then there are others where I can't bring myself to write because I'm too tired or too distracted from life. Honestly the second I get a clear head and enough time to myself, I'll start writing.
2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them)
This isn't from my WIP, but from a fanfic I wrote a while ago. I want to try to find a way to incorporate it into something. Not sure where though.
“I know this seems like it’s coming out of nowhere,” he said, “but promise it’s not. I’ve had a long time to think about it.  A few years, actually. I guess, I just didn’t realize how deep I was in it until about five minutes ago.”
She kept silent, but the simple fact she hadn’t told him to get out gave him the confidence to keep going. .
“I meant it when I said I’m crazy about you. I like that you take your sugar with a drop of coffee.  I like how you sing to yourself when you’re happy.  I like that you never seem to get cold.  I like that you never lose your head under fire, but still need me to get rid of spiders. I like that you can laugh at yourself.  I like that you can laugh at me. Hell, I like that you’re perfectly willing to slap my face if the situation calls for it.
I like so many things about you Liz, and that’s just the stuff I found out on accident.  I can only imagine the stuff I’d learn if I started loving you on purpose."
3. Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?
I really do enjoy writing Finn. The boy just makes my smile.
Close second is another OC which I wrote for fanfic who I want to save and put someplace else, Lucy. She's my softest girl who has a lot of love to give. Might figure out a way to put her in this regency setting somewhere, but who knows.
4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?
The first draft spree. The moment when you get an idea and you have write it down as quickly as possible. It's rough and definitely will need some editing, but that rush cannot be topped. It just feels satisfying to exorcise even the smallest of scenes out of my body.
5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)
Dialogue, hands down. It's at least the part I've gotten the most compliments on.
6. What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?
I've only just started to dip my toe in, but I really do love answering asks. I like seeing other writer's process and knowing I'm not alone. It's just fun!
7. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)
I've been using Scrivener and it's really helped me keep everything organized. I have a very conspiracy board way of drafting, so having all my random snippets in one place really helps.
8. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)
Not sure world building is my strong suit for this current WIP. I suppose I'm enjoying expanding the world of the theatre, but I admittedly need to do more research.
9. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?
Write anyway. It doesn't have to be the scene that's giving you trouble. It doesn't even have to be for the piece you're trying to focus on, just don't get out of the habit of writing. Once you lose that momentum, it takes a long time to get it back.
10. Tag some people whose works you love/have been your biggest supporters
Gotta give a shout out to @clairelsonao3 for being so welcoming in my introduction to the writeblr community. And @janec23, for being one of the few specifically romance writers to reach out.
But I really can't begin to thank all the people who have followed me from my fanfic blog over to this one. It really means so much to know people are interested in reading anything I put out there.
@flapjacques, @jo-harrington, @can-of-pringles, @handahbear, @auroramagpie, @justanothersadperson93, @sad-cat-hours, @ghostface001, @theowlwhocameback, @mattmurdocksscars, @roruna, @everything-intertwined, @sweetjedi, @arcanerazil, @vibratingbonesbis, @delirious0pandemonium, @llovelykenobi, @geek-girl7, @mixedupanddown
Know that I love and appreciate you all.
I'm also going to leave this an OPEN tag to anyone who wants to do this, and especially invite everyone who I have tagged above. (and

A Quick Explanation
Hi there, welcome to my blog. This is the horrible void where I put all my jokes, shit-posts, and 3 AM breakdown induced Mini-Essays. I'm a fan of a lot of things but I'll primarily be posting about Pokemon here, occasionally dipping my toes into the various other fandoms I'm in. No, I'm not making separate blogs you will have to suffer all of my interests. Other than that you can probably expect me to reblog a bunch of things, mostly stuff my friends reblog.
I am heavily involved in the Pokemon IRL community also known as Rotumblr (see, it's Rotom + Tumblr, it's clever) and have perhaps too many blogs but my most popular by far and the ones I post the most on are @fox-poke-fanatic and @aura-acolyte. I've also got two, that's right, two blogs dedicated to Zinnia:
@last-lorekeeper, a pkmn irl blog.
@ask-lorekeeper-zinnia, a classic 2014 style Tumblr ask blog with no connection to pkmn irl
ask-lorekeeper-zinnia's more canon compliant than last-lorekeeper in regards to story events but both of them are pretty on-point in regards to characterization, I think.
I also write fanfiction. Currently I'm engaged in an ongoing AU project called the Auraverse which, as of this writing, only consists of one incomplete fic, a retelling of RSE/ORAS with a twist or two or maybe even three. The intent of the Auraverse is to retell every game from RSE to current day, whatever current day might be.
-BackSet/X-Metal
PKMN IRL Master Post
Auraverse Master Post
OC Master Post
Character Reference/Sheet Master Post
Also here's a server about Pokemon and Zinnia.
In case everything falls apart.

Note: I'm over 30. While I'd prefer you're at least over 25, I won't turn you away from reaching out as long as you're over 21 and don't mind writing with someone who's over 30. If you don't have your age/age range in your bio, you will be ignored. All characters are also 18+.
I only roleplay on Discord, preferably in private servers, or over email.
I've been wanting to dip my toes into omegaverse roleplay. Only thing is, I only do FxF dynamics, so I'm hoping to find someone who's willing to play a female alpha OC to my female omega (or beta, I guess?) OC. I have both sweet soft cinnamon roll girls who can settle into a submissive role happily, and more playful girls who might be more switchy, so we can discuss that when we get there. Plot-wise and setting-wise, I'm pretty open, whether we want to do something more fantasy or more realistic. Obviously this will have NSFW elements, so be ready to write smut.
Also, and I know this kind of defeats the whole "purpose" of omegaverse to an extent, but my biggest no-go is pregnancy. We can discuss other kinks and limits when we connect.
While I'd ideally like to try this with OCs first just to test out the dynamics, I'm also loosely open to maybe throwing some of my canon ships into an omegaverse AU? I think the biggest ones I'd be interested in trying are (A) Maki x (B/O) Nobara from Jujutsu Kaisen, (A) Suletta x (O) Miorine from Witch from Mercury, (A) Korra x (O) Asami from Legend of Korra, and MAYBE (A) Edelgard x (O) female Byleth from FE: Three Houses.
Like this post if you're interested, and I'll reach out.

so i have a problem….
for a long time i’ve been able to create characters out of pretty much nothing, from a picture or a simple reading alone. of course, i don’t go any further than setting up their physical appearance and completely forgetting about them in just a few hours, but the rare times i don’t forget about them, i try to make an entire character out them and make them feel real.
so far i’ve been able to do this with one character that i’ve been working on and building her up for years and she’s technically my only oc, but everytime i start to come up with a new character from this new place and these new things that aren’t related to her or her story, i’m afraid that they as a character is not going to be as fleshed out or as interesting as she is. i don’t have any backstory ideas for any other characters and i don’t hers to outshine everyone else’s.
can i fix this? if so, how?
thank you
While I can't exactly pinpoint what might be the core issue I can see what you're struggling with and I do have advice for it. And I'm sorry if this response comes too late but I figure this is something many artists can struggle with.
If I've understood correctly it's not due to a lack of inspiration, yes? Since you said you've been able to make ocs out of very small prompts or ideas (if the issue is lack of inspiration though, my biggest piece of advice is to simply seek out more, and new inspiration! The mind can stagnate and freshening up helps. Get new medias and look into what inspires others, get new life experiences and possibly dip your toes into other hobbies? It doesn't have to be major, anything to shake it up in there!)
Seems to have to do with attachment, generally speaking. While there's nothing wrong with wanting to focus on just one story/character, it'll become sucky if you, well don't want that. From my perspective, I think you just need to give new characters time to grow into themselves. I know that may sound odd but I'll elaborate. Sometimes when you make a new character you'll fall in love with them immediately and run off to do shenanigans with them. Sometimes, you make a character and, they just exist now. You may dislike something about them or be unsatisfied with them, or just not..~Feel~ for them, ykno? Or maybe none of those things apply. Maybe the character is just fine. So my first piece of advice is to let them grow. I recommend specifically taking a moment, or few, to focus on this new character Only. It may be hard but I do really recommend it. It can be just short moments like drawing them once, or a few times more, or listening to music and trying to pick out songs you think would vibe with this character, and really get imagining, ykno? At these beginning stages you can really have many "Ooh what if-" moments in developing a character! It's fun! Just find your preferred way of Getting Into™ a character
If you can't bring yourself to give them the spotlight now, worry not. Let them exist for a bit, but make sure that you have them somewhere you won't forget! Maybe write a synopsis of them somewhere or draw them, whatever helps. And let them simmer. You can totally come back to a character later to add more to them, or even revamp them completely! They are dough at your hands. Some dough needs more kneading and some needs to rest and rise, you feel? I actually had a story that took at least one year of existing for me to really get cozy and up close with it. I wasn't disinterested before, it just needed time to grow and I needed time to get more familiar with it, and it's characters. Consider the fact that you may just be rusty. And that's okay! If you haven't created something entirely new in a while, that happens. Push on, even if it's clumsy at first, bc you will get there! Just let yourself get back into the groove of making new stuff again.
My other advice is to make them interesting to you. "Well duh?", but what I mean is that if you're not vibing with the character you have now, make them something you'd vibe with. Literally you can make them into whatever! They don't necessarily need to be relatable to you for you to want to explore them, but if it helps to add a bit of yourself into the character then do that! Lame backstory? Spice it up! Flat personality? Scrungle it a bit. Boring design? Go wack. You get my point. Make them into something you'd be interested in working with.
Something that helps for me personally, is also, sharing them! If I get to talk about and really get into some character while explaining it to someone else that can easily put me in the mindset of thinking about and getting more fond of the character. You can also totally ask for advice, input, reviews or opinions from other people! Or just share the new character.
Summary:
1. Give em time. And a bit of love and care
2. Make it fun and interesting for yourself!
3. The rubber ducky method (I volunteer if you want to come share your new ocs here!)
And: Sometimes a character won't take off. You can't bring yourself to get invested in them or add them anywhere. That's okay. You can just dump them and start over. It's your story and your character and you decide what goes

Hi to start off I love your story- sorry for not commenting on it much I’m just lazy and just press the link as soon as I see it and forget to log into my account- so to sum up any possible comment I would’ve made: this is my favorite avatar fic (not one of them - it just is my favorite) and you write everything so well.
Questions:
1. Gotta start with the one everyone’s dying to know- is neteyam gonna die? Or will there be any major character deaths?
2. What inspired you to write this
3. Are you gonna write any more fics in the future? If so what are some ideas you have
4. What are some other fandoms you’re into and possibly wanna write for?
5. What are some hobbies you enjoy?
Hiya babes~ that is completely fine about commenting, I know I get the same way sometimes but I'm glad to know you're loving it. And it's your favourite?!?! Even over greats like Half-Alive???? I'm honoured and touched and sending a massive squdge (hug) to you thank you!!!! <333333
Questions are answered under the line~
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I'm guessing a lot of people want to know about this. Em, I'm going to go ahead and say there will be major character deaths, but not the ones you expect. In my cranium, there's going to be two big bits of confrontation; the ship (which we all knew was going to happen) and the final big battle (debating whether to write this properly, or to pan over it and hit the aftermath). So there will be loads of intense things that will lead to some major character injury too but, fear not, I'm not cruel enough to axe off extremely important characters (looking at you Cameron) but I can't say any more because of spoilers!
2. Well that's an easy question because bestie and all around amazing idea creator @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie came up with the idea of the humans leaving Pandora and never coming back, and then mentioned Eywa blessed Spider and my brain went 'huh good idea mine now'. And I was already looking for something more to write about Spider because the inspiration muse has had me by the throat since January and isn't letting go.
3. Good question!! I will always write fanfiction, even when I've published my original ideas because it's an amazing creative outlet and a great way to practice new ideas. Bestie @be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie came up with an ikran racing au because of an ask I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) and again my brain just went yes so that might be in the works after ftnadol. But at the moment there isn't anything concrete, but when something comes I'm sure it'll whack me upside the head XD
4. Oooooo other fandoms. Well Stranger Things is a big love of mine (I actually have a Steve x Male OC fic which has been gathering dust which incorporated Irish Mythology that I need to resurrect), as is Star Wars, and Umbrella Academy, and Marvel, gosh there's loads to count up. In terms of what I'd like to write for, maybe dipping my toes into Percy Jackson? Because of the TV show? OR! Spider verse because Miles is my boy. I'm not entirely sure though because I never quite know until an idea does suddenly pop into my brain. Haikyuu might be something to try, but who knows! Certainly not me~
5. Ooooo interesting well! If you didn't know I play two instruments; harp and violin, so music is a massive part of my life. I teach swimming some evenings, and absolutely love to do it recreationally. I game, and am very excited for Spider-Man 2. I'm also self teaching myself korean, which is very fun and interesting because I'll be able to understand half the music I listen to XD of course, this is also whilst writing up a storm every week!
Thank you bestie for your questions!! <333

ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? I changed my name awhile ago and I suppose I will reject cringe and live free by admitting it's based on both my favorite X-Man character Gambit and the name of one of my decade's long OCs lmao.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? Couple of nights ago actually when I was reading the latest chapter of the very excellent Halstarion fic Write to me. Highly recommend it.
DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Hahahaha omg lord no, my life is barely sustainable for the grown adults living in it, much less a poor kid
WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED? Played baseball in a summer league as a kid but outside of that nah. I was in marching band thru all high school tho does that count?
DO YOU USE SARCASM? Never heard of her
WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? I am incredibly unobservant and often so very tired, so honestly not much lmao...maybe eyes and hands? I do notice the differences between fake, nervous and genuine smiles a lot tho
WHAT'S YOUR EYE COLOUR? I got curious and looked up actual names for eyecolors and mine are apparently labeled Gemstone Green
SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? Depends on my mood, I think sometimes bittersweet or 'death' endings can be beautiful and cathartic - FFXVI comes to mind. But the older I get the more I want people to just be together and happy in the end.
ANY TALENTS? Even though it's more really hard work for a really long time, I guess I could say art and maybe writing? Art feels more like a natural talent to me, I've been drawing since my hands could hold a pencil properly, writing is much more difficult. It genuinely makes my brain hurt from the struggle lmao.
WHERE WERE YOU BORN? Won't get me, 3 secret answers needed to remake my password question!
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? Drawing, writing, roleplaying/D&D, in-game photography (mostly FFXIV and dipping toes into BG3, I desperately want to learn how to pose ripped models in Blender), playing video games esp visual novels, and collecting/watching old made-for-TV movies (esp fantasy & horror based ones) from the 80s and 90s.
DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? 2 cats, our grumpy old ladies <3 We might be getting a third if he ends up liking the place, fingers crossed.
HOW TALL ARE YOU? just under 5'11'' (180 cm)
FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL? Art class, band class, English, ceramics.
DREAM JOB? I wanted to be an animator or comic artist for most of my life but that ship sailed, c'est la vie. Now I just want something I don't have to think too hard at, make it thru a full 40 hours without wanting to die lol and just do the things that make me happy like writing and spending time with friends and sleeping, etc.
I'm supposed to tag 15 people but I'm pretty sure everyone I could tag has been tagged ahaha so I'll just say if you're reading this consider yourself tagged & fill it out if u want!

My husband has been one of my biggest cheerleaders recently as I dip my toe into writing.
After 20+ years he knows what buttons to push and when to try and look over my shoulder. I was anxious, but I showed him "Classmates" ultimately because I wanted his feedback (he took NOTES in his phone so we could have a book-talk that night!) and I'm glad I did it.
But I have an idea for a "choose one or neither" OC x College Friend + OC/Post-college Friend (with age gap) story based on some things from real life and I think I want to keep that from him.
I am so glad he's asked about my boundaries and I told him that this idea (and a DEEPLY personal trauma story idea) are the ones I want to keep to myself.
I'll show him more certainly, maybe just the lighter, smuttier stuff. And the harem/visual novel otome game I have noodling.
He's the best, and I'm so glad I have someone like him cheering me on. plus it's done wonders to our sex life

M, N, S?
You managed to pick all the long form options for me, so this is going to be a little bit of a long answer-post. lol
M: Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.
Despite having my now three fandom sons that I adore (Zevran, Crow, and now Astarion), this is actually tough, since each of those three men have their own respective problems that I'm not sure I'd put up with in real life if I knew men like them. Such is the catch of liking morally grey characters (well, minus Crow I guess).
I suppose I could choose from outside of that pool, but oh there's so many options to sift through... I'm tempted to say Isabela from Dragon Age 2, but I feel like, unless we're good friends, she'd sell me out for a goddamn klondike bar. Though, the inverse is that she'd sell everyone else out for me, because she seemed very much a "ride or die" friend once she's actually on your side.
I guess I'll just say Crow. He's the safest option, since I feel like his issues are much easier to deal with when he's plucked out of the D2 universe. He's still hella reckless trouble, but at least I would know he'd always have my back, and I wouldn't have to worry about getting a "hey I murdered someone... maybe a lot of someones" phone call. (*stares at Astarion, Zevran, and Isabela...*)
N: Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).
I'm going to go for "in general" rather than specifics since, thinking about it, these could apply to all the things I've dipped my toes into.
Heteroplatonic relationships. Men and women can co-exist in a friendly manner. There doesn't always have to be a romance. This is honestly aimed at writers of media and not at the fandoms (because in fandom, you can do whatever the fuck you want, you're writing for yourself). For example, I was watching Across the Spiderverse with a friend and, even though we both knew why they're a thing, we just kinda went "you know, Miles and Gwen could just be friends... do we really have to have a romantic subplot here?" (This said, it is a little exhausting in fandom to constantly see that two characters can't exist in a space without being IN WUUUUUV. *stares wearily at the Heartsteel fandom* ... Yeah, as someone that imagines the boys as all just being found-family-friends, I'm not going over there. There is nothing for me there.)
Now this one IS a fandom one: BE FUCKING NORMAL. It is so tiring seeing people harassing other people over absolutely stupid and trivial shit. It is even worse when the fandom turns that brand of crazy on the people behind the media (*motions to people being weird to Neil Newbon, for example*). I know this is a tall ask that will never come to be, but... it's why I live in the walls and don't really interact with much.
Of course, when I'm put on the spot, I can't think of things. Um, scraping my brain for a third item... I guess I'd like to see LESS reducing characters to being "uwu softboy"? (I don't know if women characters get this very often, since I mostly only interact with men character fandoms and when I do read stuff with chicks, I generally don't see this.) It is a bit... tiring. Like, again, you can write whatever you want, but I feel like... if you need to sand the edges off of a character and change them to like them, did you really ever actually like that character? Or did you just like the idea of the character? I feel like, at that point, just make an OC based on them. You've basically done most of the steps to get there.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
S: Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)
Hmm, I have so many. I'll stick with D2, since you're more of a D2 moot.
A short one: I headcanon, gear wise, that Crow uses the Celestial Nighthawk helm with the Hrafnagud ornament (because it is mentioned that he does sometimes wear a helmet), and uses the Ashen Wings ornament on Hawkmoon. A trivial little headcanon, but there it is. A long(er) one: I guess this isn't entirely a headcanon, since I feel like it's been mostly confirmed in lore, given the frequency of characters going out beyond The Walls and ending up in towns, but I like to think there are many settlements beyond The Walls of The Last City, and I like to think that given enough time and being left alone long enough, the lingering spectre of The Concordat could capitalize on those wayward towns, left to defend themselves largely by themselves (with the exception of getting some help from a passing Hunter or two). It's just too unlike humanity to all agree to hang out in one spot. We aren't like that. We are all too prone to saying, "Fuck you, I'll take my chances forging my own path". Going along with that headcanon, in a tangential sort of commentary note: I do think, if it weren't for all the fuckery going on (the Traveler peacing out off of Earth and going into orbit, for example), keeping people's minds preoccupied, we'd genuinely have a situation of The Vanguard vs Everyone Else, because it seems to me like a lot of humanity isn't too keen on the Guardians anymore. Again, with the idea of the settlements, I imagine they especially aren't keen on them, since they could be made up of people exiled from The Last City, and people who feel left behind. Hell, we saw the sentiment in Season of the Splicer. Lakshmi wouldn't have been able to drum up that much support if it weren't for people feeling that way just a little bit. Actually, going back even further, we see that sentiment with Suraya prior to her joining up.
I guess, thinking about it, you could say my headcanon is that the real situation in the D2 Universe is that while The Vanguard and the Guardians are fighting for humanity, a pretty decent chunk of humanity has zero interest in fighting for them. Does this count as a headcanon? I don't know.
On a rambly OC sidenote: that was the entire idea behind the AU of Ardwynn being all "king of thieves bandit" living outside of The Last City, because he's such a hero "I want to help people" kind of guy. He'd look at everyone living outside and at The Last City, and at what Guardians are, and aren't, doing, and would decide to find a way to help people. Honestly, if it wasn't for Shaxx hanging out in The Tower, helping the Vanguard, Ardwynn probably would throw his lot in with The Concordat.

hi! I’m so sorry if this is a bother, but i thought you might be a good person to ask. i recently rewatched danny phantom as an adult - i loved it as a kid and wanted a good dose of nostalgia. after typing in the tag it was wild to find the phandom still up and kicking (honestly with more passion than i’ve seen from any fandom in my 8 years of tumblr). i immediately came across fanart for phantom of truth which i devoured along with its sequel in just a few days. i also read pits by cordria and loved it, but in the last week i’ve hit a bit of a research lull. i was wondering if you could fill me in on some details - maybe point me in the direction of popular fics or material? also, could you please explain wes weston to me - is there a particular fic he was born from or did he just sort of appear in fan lore? if not no worries, but i’d appreciate anything you had to offer!! thanks :)
Welcome to the phandom!
So the phandom in general is SUPER big on events. We have a year round event's calendar of which we're currently celebrating Ectober Month! You can find the details to that in the calendar along with other upcoming events!
In general, you'll find a LOT of incoming dp fan media through events and their tags, and that's where I tend to find new writers/artists to follow each year.
I've made two in depth posts on Wes Weston, so I'll just link them here [1: the older detailed wes] [2: a more updated wes]. The basic intel though is that yes he's entirely a phandom made OC that we've just adopted to fill a social hole in the dp universe.
There are tons of amazing DP writers and fics. I'll link you a few of my faves! In no particular order,
1. @imekitty (her ffn) is an older phandom writer who is kinda my personal gold standard for angst. She's also done some awesome slash fics though! Her current most popular series is the Disparaged/Dissembled series and fair warning, it's pretty dark!
2. @ecto-american (ghostanimal on ao3) is another older phandom writer who's still super active! He's currently most known for his fic Broken Ectoplasm, which is a bit darker than his usual pieces. Regardless, he has a pretty good range!
3. @five-rivers (marsalias on ao3) is an absolute writing fiend. I literally can't think of a genre of fic that they haven't written. They're currently best known for their monster of a longfic Mortified, which is ongoing and currently sits at a 258 chapters, or a little over a half million words. I personally am a big fan of their Exhumed series.
4. @wastefulreverie (her ao3) doesn't write a ton for dp anymore, but her archive of fics is AMAZING. Every so often I'll just go binge her writing, it's seriously fantastic. I think she has written some of my favorite angst fics that I've found so far.
5. @ladylynse (lynse on ao3) is another really big writer who also does a fair amount of crossovers if you're into that. Currently, her biggest fic is The Trouble With Ghosts which is an extremely popular fic currently. Good stuff!
6. @things-i-cannot-do-in-amitypark (their ao3) has several extremely popular fics on ao3 and ffn. I definitely recommend checking out their stuff. They've been writing DP for years and really have a great grasp on narration and building an exciting story.
7. @kinglazrus (UnluckyAlis on ao3) is actually one of the fastest writers I've ever freaking met. They're most known for their fic The Survivalists which is about Danny's class disappearing only to be found stranded on an island. Overall, really fun writer and also a cool person as well.
8. I know you said you read Pits, but @cordria has a TON of oneshots on her Tumblr as well as her ffn and ao3. I've been following her works for years and she really is an absolute S tier writer.
9. Shift by CaptainOzone is literally my favorite dp fic ever written. The basic premise is that Danny didn't grow up in Amity, and is revealed as Phantom right before he moves there. Oz is an outstanding writer and I'm super pumped they dipped their toes into DP for this fic.
10. when im dead, my dearest by redrobin1989 is only three chapters long, but i think honestly it really exemplifies an incredibly well written Valerie-centered fic. I go back and reread it every so often because wowowow.
11. Roughing It by Haiju is a big phandom favorite. You already read PoT/SOAD, so I know you'll like this one hahaha.
12. The Ghost Of Heroes by Enigmaris and ScarletNightFury is a really popular DP/MCU crossover starring an amazing bond between Danny and Spiderman. It's a pretty lighthearted fic, but it's super fun and the storylines are really engaging.
13. Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time by MissMegHolden is a DP/Young Justice fic that's very popular right now if you like that crossover. It's ongoing and updates semi-regularly. I've been following it for a while and I love it, though this is one of my fave crossover types (and I'm a big fan of DP crossovers lmao).
14. In The Eye of a Needle by mystyrust is an extremely popular DP/BNHA crossover fic that is completed. This is another one of those fics I go back and reread a lot.
Okay I could keep going but I'm going to stop here for now. All in all, I definitely recommend scouring event tags for new writers/artists. The phandom also has a discord that you can always DM me for an invite. The phandom in general is extremely chill. We're an older fandom so we really don't have drama or anything.
Once again, I welcome you and I hope you have fun!
(oh quick plug my own ao3 i write a lot of angst)
