I got some of the pumpkin pie moomin biscuits from japan and whilst the packaging is very cute and the biscuits taste fine they disappointingly don't taste like pumpkin!!!!! I even read reviews before buying them that said there isn't much of a pumpkin taste, but I swear those reviews said it's more of a cinnamon taste instead, and I like cinnamon so I thought ok I'm fine with that it's still autumnal! but they don't even taste like cinnamon! smh
#I like... kinda got hints of pumpkin as I was eating but that's it#they mostly just taste like very nice rich tea biscuits#so at least it's not BAD I guess#I've only had 1 packet so far so maybe my opinion will change#merch#food

as someone who was paid in bank orders by the small family store when i was a teen, i was delighted by rekha making it canon that usha just hands the money out to them in a vaguely illegal feeling way. too real. bless small businesses run by people who never seem to remember that there are easier ways to pay people
#never stop blowing up#nsbu#the small business was very lovely#but between that and them selling a VERY niche food product that i wont name because its very specific#in a low-traffic strip mall that got maybe 10 customers on a good day#my dad was completely convinced it was a money laundering scheme#if it was they still did make the food and i helped package so much of it#so it mustve still been a little bit of love for the game#and you know what? if they were laundering money then good for them. they were all very nice.

Thought I'd go give 2004 me--who was so stupefied at how the Yankees blew a three-game lead to get swept by the Red Sox in the ALCS that year (and was first radicalized by it probably)--some closure here now that I'm impartial to baseball 🧦
[Also ft the Anime Zakka store my friend recommended to me, the Riverway IPA I had at the Trillium Brewery I was *hoping* to stop at (see my new get from said anime shop), and the grub I stopped for at a local gay bar which was tasty (alas the delish fries were left unfinished)]

She heard me doing things so she came up to the side of her baby bin and blelelelele'd at me until I noticed her. She greets me every morning where we spend the first hour of every day together, her just resting in my hand and me holding her, often gently petting her head and tiny scales. If there is a heaven, that first hour we spend together is it.
She is getting a larger enclosure for her birthday in a month and a half. :D Hopefully I can get it done in time, as I haven't sculpted a custom enclosure before and will be trying some new artistic critiques. I do have experience sculpting though. My biggest worry is the paints and sealing them properly! Art I can do- but food safe art that will be in a moist bioactive enclosure is new for me.

Is this what we do for each other?”#And when we are snuggling she'll wiggle over to my arm or shoulder and start petting me. She doesn't pet me in any other places.#It is a lot of effort as she has no hands and has to use her chin#moving her whole upper body#So she'll only pet me maybe 20-10 times and take a rest#Does anyone else's snake pet them?#It is unusual but I think maybe she learned it from copying me and it makes her happy ^_^#What a wonderful world we live in where snakes enjoy being pet
