A/N: I don’t know what’s with me writing all this hefty age gap Joel fics with dark themes… I need to be lobotomised. Or I should go back to writing more sweet husband!Javi fics… I’m planning on making this a three parter or maybe even five… Let me know where you’d like to see this go.
Tumblr media
Checking once again if he was asleep, you slipped out of his bed. Laptop, phone and headphones in hand, you made your way out of his room, making sure to be very quiet when shutting the door. It had become something of a routine since you started dating. He was good, better than some boyfriends you had in the past who wouldn’t even last five minutes. He treated you well, asked you what you liked in bed and took your advice. Which was why you felt guilty each time you escaped his room in the night to take care of yourself in the living room.
Your parents were on a summer vacation of their own, a long road trip to visit distant cousin you knew fuck all about. You would’ve gone even though you didn’t want to. But Matt begged you to come with him to stay in Texas for the summer. It was an attractive idea— you’d never been to his part of Texas before and you knew you’d miss him a lot. But you didn’t want to inconvenience him or his dad. Thankfully, Mr. Miller was kind and opened his doors to you and his son for the summer.
In return, you helped around the house. He never asked. But he was a busy man. A single dad to Matt and his sister Sarah since their mother left, being busy was his normal state of being. He was the owner of a small construction company he ran with the help of his brother.
Before getting up to your secret nightly activity, you headed to the kitchen and began doing the dishes. Matt cooked well, but he was atrocious with cleaning up. So you did that. It was also to somewhat reduce the guilt that built up in you for hiding things from him. When finished with the dishes, you settled on the floor with your laptop on the coffee table.
Your hand played with your necklace out of habit. Tracing the M of the pendant attached to the necklace Matt gave you for your anniversary. You dropped it, guilt searing your thumb in the M shape of the pendant for doing this without his knowledge.
Shame hit you right as the website loaded, images appeared of naked women posed amidst naked men for video thumbnails. Each provided you a glimpse into the kind of degrading activity each actress engaged in for you to get off in shame. Your eyes caught a thumbnail of a man— older, broad, muscular with a girl your age. You hovered the cursor over the image and it provided you a short peek into what was inside- the man, his hand gripping her hair and pounding into her hard and fast as her face contorted in pleasure. You didn’t care that it was all fake, that the actress probably didn’t even feel good.
You clicked on the video and skipped the poorly acted introduction to get to the good part. Headphones in and volume on high, hand inside your shorts as you touched yourself, you didn’t know you weren’t the only voyeur in the room.
Having come downstairs to fetch himself some water, Joel had noticed you crouching in between his couch and coffee table with your laptop playing something downright filthy. He should’ve walked away, given you your privacy. But goddamn it, you let out a sweet little whine, barely audible and his feet glued themselves to the ground.
It was also because of how uncharacteristic it was of you to do something like this. He’d known you for a while now and you’d always been sweet. Too sweet for his son, if you asked him to be honest. You were slightly older than Matt, having begun your Masters with a little bit of a break after your Bachelors. You were a good influence on him, he’d say. But clearly his son hadn’t been good to you, if he had to go by how you were touching yourself to porn in his living room.
Now, he knew it was wrong. No decent man would be aroused at the sight of his son’s girl getting herself off. But you were on his living room floor, using his wifi and you sounded gorgeous making those little whines and whimpers. If he had to guess the sort of thing you liked—and he never thought of such a thing before—it would be one of those erotic novels with shirtless men on the cover. Not this. Not videos of a man who fucked a girl like she was nothin’, picked her up and threw her around and brought his hand down on her to make her stay put and take whatever he gave her.
He put his hand down his sweatpants, just as you had yours down those little shorts you wore around his house. He couldn’t see anything of you. Just the back of your head. For Joel, that was enough. Just knowing that this innocent little thing was getting off on watching a man use a girl like that was enough.
Eyes fixed on you, he stroked his cock, imagining he had a nice wet cunt around it instead of his hand. The man on your screen had the girl pushed against a wall as he pounded into her, her eyes rolled back into her skull and she had her lips parted, presumably moaning in false enthusiasm for the man.
He’d been starved for too long. There was no other explanation for why he felt good watching that fake shit, especially so far away from the screen and with no audio.
He screwed his eyes shut as he got close, imagining himself as the man in the screen, getting to fuck a pretty thing like that. A girl on his bed, against his wall, on her knees with his cock drilling into her holes. He imagined that his hand, large and callused from decades of hard labor, around a pretty throat. Holding it along with a necklace with a gold M pendant dangling off of it. Her eyes rolled back and her lips— your lips — parted as you struggled to breathe. He leaned against the wall as his knees weakened, the image of you in his head strong as he stroked himself. You on his bed, you against his wall, you on your knees for him— and with a whimper he hid by biting down on his lip, he came. White hot cum coated his hand and fuck, what a waste when it’d look so pretty on you.
Fuck!
Fuck, fuck, fuck—
He took one last look at you before rushing back upstairs to his room. On the way, he checked if Matt’s door was still closed. It was.
He’d been starved too long. That was all. Nothing else. He’d done too long without a girl and you were the nearest one, cleaning up after his son and wishing him a “Good Morning, Mister Miller” every morning and asking “How was your day, Mister Miller?” when they sat together to eat whatever Matt cooked. It was just proximity.
There was no other explanation.
He’d been…active in his youth. That’s how he had two kids at an age where he was supposed to be a kid himself. But things died down later. Perils of parenting and a contracting business. There were women. Fleeting relationships and even more fleeting fuck buddies who’d all gone off to be with someone else. Now, there was just work. Hell, the last time he picked up a pretty thing at a bar was Tess.
Tess. That was it.
He decided he would give her a call, see if she still had the habit of cheatin’ on that useless husband of hers. Get rid of the images of you in his head with images of Tess.

You Scare Me, Professor: Chapter 49
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader is taking graduate classes at a local university in the wooded upstate New York. She is drawn to her professor, Dr. Joel Miller, though she is also inherently aware that he has something dark about him that she can't quite put her finger on. As the reader's attraction grows deeper, she has to decide whether to endure the danger or run away as fast as possible.
Pairing: Professor Joel Miller x f!reader
Franky Miller sat with her knees bent and her back against the headboard. She chewed away at her thumbnail, unable to focus on the page-turner she had in her lap. She closed the book and let out a quiet sigh, looking around the otherwise quiet, empty room. Chas laid on his side beside her, sleeping peacefully.
“Chas,” Franky whispered, half-hoping he wouldn’t wake up. The two of them had been worn out by the long drive and the family-fun shenanigans that followed. Still, she needed to talk to him. Something hadn’t settled right in the depths of her stomach. “Chas.” The tone of her voice grew more urgent and just a pitch louder.
“Hmm?” He didn’t open his eyes and pulled the top cover up closer to his chin.
Franky reached for her phone and glanced down at the last text message she had sent to Joel. He hadn’t replied.
“Chas, something’s wrong.” When he didn’t open his eyes or respond she said his name louder. “Chas!”
“What? What? What is it?” He sat up part way, startled and looking around. “What!” Chas’s eyes widened and he stared at Franky.
“Something’s wrong, Chas.”
“What?” He edged an inch toward her as if struggling to hear.
“This is going to sound ridiculous,” Franky went on. The look on her face made her husband all the more alert. “But do you remember when the kids were young and we had a code word?” She studied his expression and went on, “You know, like, if a stranger approached them and said, ‘your mom wanted me to give you a ride home’, we told Carol and Joel to ask them what our family code word was. Or, if they called us from somewhere and needed help but couldn’t say it out loud, they could just say the code word over the phone.”
“Grape Soda,” Chas grumbled, but flashed his wife a smile. “That was the code word.”
Franky smiled back and nodded adamantly, but put a hand to her lips as her smile faded. “Joel’s in trouble, Chas.”
“What do you mean?”
“I passed him in the hallway,” she went on, “Not long ago. He and WIll said they were going down for some bachelor party thing.”
“So, why do you think he’s in trouble?” Chas asked.
Franky sighed and looked him in the eye. “I should’ve picked up on it right away. He looked right at me. As the two of them passed me, Joel said they were going downstairs to have grape soda.”
Chas squinted his eyes and shrugged, but didn’t dismiss her feelings. “Do you think he was teasing because we were all reminiscing tonight? Or maybe he was referring to drinking beer as grape soda?”
Franky soaked it in. She listened to Chas’s probable reasons why their son might have said that to her. Both scenarios made sense. But so did hers. And internally she knew something wasn’t right. Mother’s intuition.
“I don’t think so, Chas.” She shook her head and right away he tossed the covers off and stepped out of bed, slipping his feet into the pair of slippers he’d left by the nightstand.
“I’ll go down to his room.”
“I tried calling,” Franky admitted, “No one picked up.”
“What about his cell?”
“No response. And I don’t know his girlfriend’s number.”
Chas looked around and then tossed a sweatshirt over his t-shirt. “I’m going to knock on the door. And then I’ll try Carol.”
Franky put a hand over her mouth again and then spoke. “Am I overreacting?” She asked, “I don’t want to disturb Carol on the night before her wedding.”
Chas put his hands on her shoulders and kissed her forehead. “You’re not overreacting. Mother’s intuition above anything else.”
She gave a forced, closed-mouth smile. “I’m going to text him again.”
“I’ll be right back.” Chas grabbed one of the key cards for their room and shoved it into the pocket of his plaid pajama pants. He then headed out into the hallway, taking it most of the way down until he got to the room where his son was staying.
With a hearty knock, Chas called out, “Joel?” He gave a listen. “(Y/N)?”
Nothing.
He knocked again and called out their names a second time. When no one answered, he followed with a third knock and then decided to head to Carol’s room. In the same fashion, he knocked on her door.
“Carol? It’s Dad.” He waited a moment and began to knock again, when the door swung open.
“Hey.” The television was on in the background and Carol had a bottle of Poland Spring in her hand. She looked at him with confusion in her eyes.
“Have you talked to your brother?”
Carol shrugged. “Earlier tonight.”
“Where’s Will?”
“Down at the bar.. I think. Why?” She squinted her eyes now. “Are they okay? Did something happen?”
Chas shook his head. “Your mother is just having trouble getting a hold of Joel, that’s all. She saw him and Will walk by earlier.”
“I’m sure they’re just downstairs having a few beers.”
“Yeah.” He ran a hand across the side of his face and sucked his teeth.
“Are they not down there?” Concern plagued her features, truly, for the first time.
“I haven’t gone down there yet,” Chas admitted, “I’ll just go take a peak to ease your mother’s mind.”
Carol let out a sigh of relief, “I’m sure that’s where they are.” She motioned to the pajama pants, “Maybe switch to jeans.. or even sweatpants before you go down.”
Chas huffed a laugh. “I’m sorry to bother you.”
“Never.” Carol leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek and a hug. “Tell Mom to stop worrying. Joel’s a big boy.”
“A mother’s worry never ends,” he informed her with a wink.
“I’ll text the two of them and let you know if they respond.”
“Thanks.” Chas nodded. “Goodnight. Get some rest.”
Carol gave a nod and kissed her hand, waving it toward him before closing the door.
Chas headed back to his room and reentered. Franky rose from her seated position on the edge of the bed.
“Well?” She asked right away.
“No answer at his room, but I just talked to Carol.”
“And?”
“She’s certain they’re at the bar downstairs. I’m going to check it out.” Chas pulled down his pajama pants, leaving him in his underwear as he glanced around the area.
“What the hell are you doing?” Franky asked him, making him chuckle.
“Carol recommended I change before I head down.”
Franky finally managed a little laugh and found a pair of jeans on top of their luggage bag, tossing it to him. “Please be careful.”
Chas nodded. “If I do find them at the bar, have I earned myself a drink?”
Franky smirked and held up a finger. “One drink.”
He made a cross over his heart. “You got it, honey.”

dash sleep lol
TWO STORIES @ THA SAME TIME????3!3&3
im not a texter lol
Tumblr media
You gnawed at your nails as you looked down at the burning screen of your phone, waiting for your friend’s friend’s reply while pacing around you and your roommates’ small room.
Your heart pounded against your chest with anxiety as you hastily waited for her reply. Please don’t make this awkward! Please!
You nearly jumped from the rugged floor to the ceiling when your device dinged again. And again. And one more time for good measure!
Tumblr media
You sighed with relief, your fingers tapping on your screen with vigor.
Tumblr media
You bit the skin on your lip and decided to test her.
You saw the small bubble pop up on your gray screen before it disappeared. Your nerves almost picked up before you received another message from her.
Tumblr media
Oh, shit. You fucked up. Maybe being an asshole isn't the way—
Your cheeks burned instantly; you should’ve never taken your Hennessy-filled yard cup to a fucking frat house!
You woke up to a slew of text messages from… everyone? How many people did you approach last night?! You had texts from random contacts that you saved, firl wit fake nut on her face? haha in particular, asking if you made it home safe or could send titty pics🥺, and it made you want to crawl into a dirt hole and die.
When Dina sent you a bunch of rushed texts asking if you smashed her best friend, you nearly fainted. Not only was your first rule of conduct broken — never fuck your friends or their friends! — but now you had to deal with your friends' side-eyeing you for fucking the one person they told you not to! You almost wanted to say that you didn’t fuck her, and it was all a prank, but by the large, dark spots and bite marks on your neck, nobody would believe you.
You’ve never met Ellie before last night. Her and Dina are super close, according to your friend, and she apparently sells shrooms to other students after finals week? You saw her in passing on occasion, and she acknowledged you sometimes, but you knew nothing about her, despite Dina telling you to leave her the hell alone, bitch. You don’t need those problems.
So how the fuck did you end up laid out across her roommate’s bed with her… fat dick in your throat?! And why is fucking her all that you remember from last night!
You, by the grace of god, recall all the events: her tugging at your waist to pull you closer, the whispers and sucks on your ear, the slaps and scratches on your ass when she dug your guts out!
Tumblr media
You wanted to cry.
You felt tears jerk in your eyes at her aloofness. You were about to FaceTime her before another text appeared and soothed you.
Tumblr media
Before your fingers could type out another sloppy apology, a text from said psycho popped up on your screen. And you tapped it on accident; You need to turn off your read receipts!
… Your tummy swirled. Only a little. You shook your head like she was there with you.
Tumblr media
For what, bitch! You didn’t do anything! You could hear your sock-covered feet padding across the floor as you nervously stomped around the small space.
You typed and sent your reply, your thumbnail in between your teeth and stomach in knots. You hated how your pussy prayed for her to undo them soon.
Tumblr media
You remember her so well, it frightened you.
Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion before another message from her popped up. The knots in your gut tightened against your will.
Tumblr media
You forgot to breathe when you replied to her in approval, anticipation of seeing the red-haired, big-dicked girl beaming through your heart.

Billy Hargrove x Female!Reader
Karen Wheeler walks in on Billy and Y/N in a compromising position in the Community Pool’s Utility Closet
Suggestive Content, Slight Nudity
Tumblr media
Billy pinned Y/N against the wall as their lips moved in a heated kiss. His hands held the curve of her waist as she ran her fingers through his hair.
She reached behind her neck when the kiss broke and untied the strings that held up her red halter top.
He bit his bottom lip as she tugged her shirt over her head and tossed it to the side. His hands slid up to grope her breasts as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She pulled him down to resume the kiss.
A moan escaped her as he slipped his tongue into her mouth.
“Oh!”
They jumped apart at a woman’s exclamation.
“Mrs. Wheeler,” Y/N gasped and covered her bare chest with her arms at the sight of the housewife.
She wanted the ground to open up and swallow her up.
“I-I’m sorry.”
Billy sighed and ducked his head. He positioned his arm in a strategic way to hide her. “Do you mind, Karen? We’re in the middle of something.”
Y/N gawked at him as Karen flushed. She nodded and scurried out of the room.
"You alright, Doll?" he asked.
She laughed derisively. "Am I alright? No! I'm humiliated. I babysit her daughter and she saw my..." she trailed off as her eyes glazed over with tears. "I've never felt more embarrassed."
“You have nothing to be embarrassed about, Doll. I’m sure she’s jealous of your tits.”
Y/N looked at him like he grew a second head. “Is that supposed to make me feel better?”
"Damn it, Y/N/N. What the fuck do you want me to say?" He argued.
"I want you to tell me that it's going to be okay, ya know like a normal fucking person! Maybe show some compassion.”
With a deep exhale, Billy walked over to her discarded top to pick it up and return to her.
“It is going to be okay. C’mon, I’ll drive you home.”
Behind the wheel, driving down the roads of Hawkins way too fast was the only way for Billy to allow himself to be vulnerable with his girl.
“I’m sorry. I should’ve made sure the door was locked.”
Y/N shrugged. “It’s okay. We were both a little…pre-occupied. I could’ve asked.”
“Doll…just let me take this one.”
“Okay.” She picked at the skin of her thumbnail. “Ya know…the look on her face was kinda priceless.”
The corner of his lips quirked up. “Yeah it was.”
“You really think she was jealous of my tits?” She asked, shyly.
His eyes shifted down to her chest before he looked back at the road. Billy reached over and placed his hand on her exposed thigh. He gave the muscle a firm squeeze.
"Definitely."

Small rant on this so-called “leftist” youtube page:
So… I really didn’t want to mention this one video, because every time I think about it I feel deeply sick and unsettled… I won’t mention the youtuber, or the video… I’ll simply mention the contents of it…
So there’s this youtuber that considers herself to be a leftist… and yet she puts out a video with a thumbnail that looks like she’s slut-shaming another woman for wearing what she wants to wear. And I’m that video, she proceeds to police the woman for what she’s wearing, and basically implying that it’s her fault that other people treat her a certain kind of way. And that made me feel very sick.
Instead of actually doing some thinking, and explaining that women’s bodies are seen as taboo still, and that they shouldn’t be at all because we’re human beings and our bodies are JUST BODIES, and not objects, instead of explaining that a woman is allowed to wear whatever tf she wants to, because she’s a grown ass adult who can make her own decisions, and the way that she looks shouldn’t ever determine how anyone treats her, and not saying that she should “cover up”, the youtuber instead goes on this rant basically just slut-shaming and acting like that’s okay.
And I decided to look in the comment section, and it is full of women acting like bullies and slut-shaming women for doing whatever tf they want to.
Saying that it’s “not empowering”. As if women are just here to please other “more feminist” women, and to be this statue to be controlled and molded to others liking, rather than simply human beings… basically saying that women should cover up because their bodies are shameful, and to be hidden away… and it’s your fault that someone treats you like an object…
It reeks of radfem energy.
She also put out another video titled “maybe you should’ve stayed in the closet”, and goes on to say that being openly lgbt is a “western thing”, and that other countries are “doing something right” by oppressing queer people in those countries, and telling them that they’re “wrong”, and that we shouldn’t be out and proud… That just… I had to just sit back and wonder what the actual fuck is this… cause wtaf… and this is suppose to be a leftist page…
I’m really starting to think a lot of so-called “leftist” pages are really just trying to lure people in so that they can convince people that being a bigot is perfectly fine. It’s absolutely terrifying.
Oh yeah, fucking with women’s rights and queer rights is “perfectly fine”, according to them… fucking disgusting.
If this person were a red flag, they’d be covering the whole entire earth.

This Episode Of Mikey... Torture?
This is just me rambling.
QUICK RANT, CAN I JUST SAY IT REAL QUICK? (It’s not related to just this video)
What happened to the thumbnails in these videos?! Seriously. I know they weren’t creative before, but these new ones just look unrealistic.
In the past, it was just the blue textbox, and an actor’s face on the side.
Then as we moved on, they pick the cringiest of actor faces to put in the thumbnail, which I can tolerate, cause laughs, and I expect it.
But then the actor’s are OUTLINED for some reason?
And now the eyes are DRAWN onto them to make them look bigger, when they didn’t need to?
DRAWN TEARS?
Dhar Mann, you DON’T need to make these additions to your thumbnails. They were fine in the past! Why are you trying so hard with these? You’re just making the video look LESS appealing.
Rant Over
So on this episode of Mikey being tortured. We get the continuity that Jayden is now a successful streamer, which I guess is nice.
Mikey actually ASKS for HELP from Jayden at the start, asking Jayden to spend time with him and teach him how to play basketball for his own friends.
Huh, I guess Mikey DID learn his lesson before.
But Jayden says no cause he’s at work playing video games. Mikey then asks if he can play too, but Jayden denies.
To be fair, Mikey only sprung at the offer when he heard about the money, but still, kinda cold to shun him Jayden.
Which led to this exchange:
“What did Mikey want?”
“Help with another genius plan. I always tell him to quit while he’s ahead, but he never listens.”
Jayden. My guy. Mikey DID NOT say ANYTHING about a plan. He just asked you to play with him!
Also “Quit while you’re ahead”
Is that the message we’re going with now? That people should just give up?
I had an audition today, and I memorized a lot of stuff or it beforehand. So technically, I was ahead.
Is this video implying I should’ve given up?
That message makes no sense.
But I guess we need an excuse to dump on Mikey because ‘Mikey bad kid. That’s his only character trait. We’re gonna grind that in your heads and make Mikey suffer until you the audience believes it!’
Word of Advice: Making a character suffer over and over again doesn’t make me hate the character. Especially if they’re children. That only makes me sympathize with the character.
But hey, we have more context as to why Mikey hates Jayden so much, and is jealous of his success.
1. Jayden NEVER wants to hang out with him
2. Jayden STOLE his dream
3. Jayden has ALL THE FRIENDS IN THE WORLD
Of course ANYONE would have a negative relationship towards that brother.
Maybe the video can teach the brothers to treat each other equally, with respect, kindness, and-
Edit: ...Wait...
So then someone decides to troll Jayden with his game.
That’s not evil. A LOT of people do this. GROWN ADULTS DO THIS. A lot of people can lighten up and learn to take a joke. THREE FORTHS OF GAMING CONTENT ON YOUTUBE CONSISTS OF TROLLING.
Yeah, if Jayden wasn’t okay with it, he should have confronted Mikey about it and told him straight, “Hey, I don’t permit gaming trolls, please don’t do them.” But he NEVER said that!
So Jayden confronts Mikey, quote; “I know you wanna destroy what my friends and I are gonna make at the build-off. But you know what? WHaT hApPeNs IN tHe DaRk WiLl AlWaYs CoMe TO lIgHt.”
But Mikey claims he has nothing to do with it, and says that he admired Jayden’s work. Honestly, I can let that slide, since it WAS his dream at one point.
But what I can’t excuse is why Mikey would suddenly want to HELP Jayden despite being shunned earlier? Like, you don’t have to step in here. You should just ignore Jayden right back.
So they decide to exploit the culprit by...
Cheating.
Cheating is okay now, kids!
So turns out, it was this poor girl at school, who trolled because she’s broke. Makes sense. And everyone hates her.
But then they give her all the money, so, NO CONSEQUENCES.
Wait, so Mikey DIDN’T get shunned. And Actually got character development?
Huh. That is the first.
I mean. I guess the candy episode had it that way too, but hey. Cheating is okay kids. As long as it means shunning poor people and praising the rich!
Eh, better than nothing I guess.
Though, I don’t expect to get comfortable with Mikey and Jayden learning to respect each other. It’ll probably be forgotten about in the next video like with Owen’s existence.
Give us Owen back! I actually liked that character, by Dhar Mann standards.
But if it doesn’t, I’ll be surprised, and honestly, it IS a step in the right direction.
It’s gonna take a lot of steps for me to call it ‘good’, but NOT the worst Dhar Mann video ever.
But seriously, FIX YOUR THUMBNAILS. These are extremely unappealing! Go back to what you did with the thumbnails a year ago!

Character Goodies: RUINER
The second character in Emi’s party and the title character: RUINER (they/them), just like most of the others, has gone through extreme changes as well. Two fun facts for you as well, RUINER originally went by the not-very-fitting-title of “The Ruiner”, which I got from the Nine Inch Nails song, Ruiner. You’ll see a running theme of characters being named after specific things.
Again, thanks to RUINER starting its life as a very bare-bones basic weirdcore game on Roblox, I wanted characters that fit in well with the weirdcore vibe. This is where RUINER’s first design comes in,
Tumblr media
A staticy, rainbow-wearing child who seems to have no idea that they look a little off. Another funfact too, this first design was not drawn at first - a bit embarrassing, but I put together a Roblox outfit first and used that as my reference for them.
For the bulk of their existence, this has been their one and only design, going through nearly 0 changes up until recently. Before I show that though, here’s a couple more things of RUINER’s older design (I should’ve done this with Emi too I think)
Tumblr media
This is the second ever drawing of RUINER, featuring a doodle that actually is the first drawing of Emi’s first design.
Tumblr media
This one was also for the Roblox version: RUINER sitting around paper holding a crayon. There was also one for Emi too!
Tumblr media
RUINER’s beautiful art skills,
Tumblr media
The original thumbnail for the Roblox version of RUINER,
Tumblr media
This was also made for the Roblox version,
Tumblr media
And then, finally, new RUINER,
Tumblr media
A letdown, maybe, but I think this simpler design works better - no bright colors and there’s an actual face. That, and with how the world is revamped, this more human, childlike design fits in more.
RUINER, although the title character, is not the main focus of the game - To be honest with you? I just thought using ‘RUINER’ sounded better than anything else I could come up with.
Next, I’ll reveal another party member (whose technically the fourth party member but I’m not trying to go in order)

“Four-eyes.”
Hange didn’t budge, even as the hot rising sun came in through her open bedroom window. “Good night.” Hange placed one last tantalizing kiss to Levi’s pale lips, leaving his still-tense knees weak, and then hurried out of his room to return to her own. Never wanting to draw attention. Section Commander Hange Zoë and Captain Levi Ackerman were fucking!…
Levi imagined some of his comrades’ reactions if they were found out. It was absurd that no one suspected them yet. Or maybe they did, and no one was bold enough to say anything.
A small part of Levi wished they didn’t have to hide anymore. It was never explicitly decided or stated between the two of them, but they had always kept their affections private. Why? He didn’t know. What was the point of keeping their relationship, however complicated or casual it may be, underground?
It would certainly make situations like this one, as he was trying to stir Hange from her slumber, far less awkward.
Levi secretly wanted everyone to know. No one would come near him or Hange again. Especially not Moblit. If Moblit knew of Levi’s relationship with Hange, he would stop his incessant butting into conversations and scenarios that didn’t involve him. He was a suck-up to Hange and every other leader in the Survey Corps, including Levi. Especially Levi.
It was hot in here. And far too early for this shit. Why the hell does she keep her window open? Levi kicked the side of Hange’s bed, hoping to jolt her awake. She should’ve just slept in his room. He would’ve woken her up—yes, he would have. And if a finger happened to slip inside of her again… if clothes were shed and they became part of each other as the sunlight came into the room…
“Hey. Four-eyes!” Levi repeated, louder, more rash this time. He took another step and leaned over so he was practically in her ear. “Get up.”
“Section Commander!” The little mosquito at Levi’s side chimed in, trying to lend a hand. Moblit studied the sleeping scientist. “We’re gonna be late for the briefing!”
“She’s not waking up, Berner.” Levi dismissed him, trying to discourage the boy. There was no reason for Moblit to be in Hange’s bedroom, other than to fuel his obsession with her. He had followed Levi here after they unfortunately bumped into each other in the dining commons. As Levi drank his tea that morning, Moblit had commented on Hange’s absence. Of course the assistant had followed Levi around the base until they found Hange, still warm and asleep in her bed.
“It’s her fault if she misses the briefing and Erwin leaves her behind.” Levi kicked the bed again.
“But we can’t leave the Section Commander behind.” Moblit looked far more emotional than the situation called for. He chewed the skin that bordered his thumbnail. “She has an important position on Commander Erwin’s team!”
“I know.” Levi clammed up to keep his curses at Moblit back. He’d save that for the actual mission. It was very early in the morning; they hadn’t even left the walls yet, and Levi was already losing his patience with Moblit. This was going to be a long-ass operation.
Deciding that social reputations were no longer a viable option, Levi placed both hands on Hange’s shoulders and shook her violently. “Get up, Hange!” He shouted. “You overslept.”
Hange’s chocolate-colored eyes flew open. “Levi!” She was rattled for a moment but then smiled peacefully. Clearly not seeing Moblit and definitely not realizing the issue at hand, she said, “You came to wake me up.”
“Get up, damn it!”
Hange rubbed her eyes at Levi’s harshness and finally started to make progress. She reached for her glasses on the windowsill. Her mouth stretched into a yawn while she scratched her head.
But as Hange pushed the blanket away from her chest, preparing to rise from the bed, Levi suddenly darted his hands out to stop her. He remembered a very important fact Hange had glossed over.
“You’re naked.”
Moblit coughed. Levi turned to him expectantly, waiting for a blustering whirlwind of Section Commander! or How indecent!
But Moblit was beet-red. That was the only thing Levi really should’ve expected.
Not a soul had been awake when Hange left Levi’s room in the wee hours of the night. So, being the peculiar woman she was, she naturally stumbled down the hall to her quarters completely nude. With no eyes awake to bear witness to the lovers, Hange had gotten away with it. In fact, she probably overslept because of the intimate circumstances of the previous night. Levi attempted to recall how many times she’d finished but then realized they all blurred together.
Hange buried herself under the thin blanket. She huffed, “A little reminder would've been nice!” And then, a hysterical laugh followed by that familiar pink blush: “I doubt you’d complain if I were undressed, though.”
Levi grumbled to himself. No, he wouldn’t complain. But with Moblit here, he was irrevocably glad Hange remained covered by the bed sheet. “Let’s give the Section Commander some privacy. It seems she’s a bit… disheveled.”
Hange waved to Levi and Moblit as they politely departed her quarters. The door slid closed. The assistant and captain started down the hall.
Moblit rubbed his forehead, still at a loss for words. “What was she doing without clothes on?” The boy squeaked out. He looked to Levi as if he had all the answers regarding Hange’s nudity.
(…Which he did.)
“Take a breath, Berner, and don’t get yourself in a tizzy.” Levi assumed his position against the wall, arms crossed over his chest. Levi knew he had the option to reveal Hange’s sex life to Moblit; yet he kept this information to himself, instead choosing to dangle it over Moblit’s head. Let the boy find out for himself. Everyone else would find out soon enough, and Moblit would be crushed when he suddenly did. It was entertaining to watch Berner writhe and panic over his Section Commander’s personal matters.
“You know how eccentric Hange is. Besides, it’s hot outside. She probably got uncomfortable from the heat last night and chose to sleep with no clothes. That would explain her open window…” Levi shrugged. “It’s really none of your business.”
Moblit nodded, consuming this new information and processing it. “That makes sense,” he mused. With a shake of his head, Moblit returned to a professional posture and adjusted his jacket. While other soldiers were growing through their uniforms, Moblit’s hung off his thin body like skin on bones. He was a child dressed up as a member of the Survey Corps. “Should we wait for Section Commander Hange? I worry she might fall back asleep and miss the briefing.”
Levi bristled. Why the insistence on waiting for Hange? “No. We should head to the briefing now. Hange will catch up with us shortly.” Levi kept walking to Erwin’s office. He would love to look out for Hange, but with Moblit around, it was pointless and would further the boy’s feelings for the Section Commander. The willowy soldier followed Levi blindly, feet scuffing as he hurried to keep up.
As expected, Hange was late to the briefing. But not fashionably late—no, she came into Erwin’s office at the conclusion. A bang on the door notified everyone of Hange’s arrival.
Erwin opened the door with that same focused stare as always. The entryway to the room exposed Hange, who was still buttoning her blouse and combing her matted hair with her fingers.
“Ever think of using a hairbrush?” Levi blurted crisply as the room was silent. Mike, standing at Erwin’s desk, stifled a chuckle. Levi’s eyes landed on Hange’s, which were wide with anxiety. Even from his position on the settee, he could see her obvious haste.
“Section Commander, glad you could make it,” Erwin said icily. “You’re just in time for my closing remarks.”
Hange was shaking. “I— I’m sorry, sir, I overslept!” She looked like she was about to burst into tears. Levi hadn’t expected this. Perhaps, if Levi had stayed behind to wait for Hange, he could have ensured she was on time. If not for Moblit, he certainly would have. But Levi had been so focused on sidetracking Hange’s assistant, he didn’t consider the probability that Hange would oversleep and miss the entire meeting.
“One of your comrades will catch you up. We have to start heading out.” Erwin walked away from Hange and back to his desk, leaving the scientist rattled.
Mike walked toward Hange. This made sense because Mike was on Hange’s team. But Levi was swimming in his own guilt and, instead of letting Mike handle it, he jumped ahead to fill Hange in. Hange propped her glasses on top of her head and rubbed her eyes. She stepped outside of Erwin’s office to gather herself. “I can’t believe I fell back asleep,” she whined. “I thought you and Moblit were going to remind me!”
“Calm down. You’re embarrassing yourself.”
“What did I miss?”
“Well, to sum it up, Erwin and Mike are attacking the titans while you record notes on anything you three encounter. You’ll handle the findings of the forest unless you need to assist in an attack. Bring your ODM and make sure you have water and food. Do I need to pack those for you?” As Levi spoke, his voice rose to a snap.
“Stop it, Levi, I’m sorry I overslept!” Hange glared at him. For the first time, she seemed angry with him. “But I relied on you to help me. After last night, I thought you’d understand.”
“I wanted to help you, believe me,” Levi replied sternly. “But I trusted you to be responsible. Apparently, that was a mistake.”
“Are you seriously getting mad at me over this?” She hissed. “Moblit would have stayed to wake me up.”
Levi’s stomach twisted with fury. That damn name made his skin crawl. He itched his forearms as if to kill the vermin creeping on him. “I know he would have. Don’t compare me to him.” He clenched his teeth. Levi grabbed Hange by the wrist and looked her dead in the eye. She shivered. He saw a bit of hurt in Hange’s face, and it pulled him from the fit of rage.
Why did this always happen? Whenever he felt some strong emotion—most recently, jealousy—he always took it out on those he was closest to...
Hange.
Levi supposed it was easier than opening up about his feelings. But was it worth it? With shame, Levi remembered the previous day when he had teased Hange for her obsession with titans—a cover-up for his anger at Moblit’s own obsession with Hange.
“I’m sorry for all this.” Levi’s gaze fell and he let go of Hange. If he wasn’t careful, this habit of his would destroy his relationship. “I suppose I’m still worried about this mission. Being on a team opposite you…” Levi trailed off. No part of him could stand it. “I can’t wait for it to end.”
“I’m sorry, too. I’ve been unreliable.” Hange’s expression softened. She moved her hand ever so slightly, but then stilled it; she longed to touch him. “But we will be together again. As soon as the operation ends, we can go back to doing what we normally do.”
“I don’t think this is about the sex. It’s…” Levi’s chest tightened. Now he was longing to touch her, too, to press a hand to her cheek and reassure her everything would be all right. The separation from Hange was taking a lot more out of him than he expected. A hole was left in his chest where Hange’s presence belonged. And they hadn’t even officially separated yet. “It’s something else.”
Hange started heading toward the horse stables. “If you’re worried about me, don’t. I’ll be fine,” Hange assured him gently. She gave a flutter of her hand as if she could wave away Levi’s anxieties. “Nothing is going to happen.”
Is that what Levi was worried about? A possible reality where Hange got hurt or taken away from him for good? Imagining a world without Hange was like breathing underwater. His chest became tighter yet.
“I know.” Levi choked out. Hange didn’t notice his strain. So he pushed it down into the abyss of his heart, far enough that it would dissolve into nothing and never be thought of again.
They walked to the stables together, not saying more than a few words. Levi knew it would always be this way, no matter what—their relationship would always be quiet when in the public environment, an undeclared thing between them that said they were merely soldiers serving alongside each other.
It was who they were: two deeply caring people devoted to one cause. They could give their hearts on the battlefield every day. And every night when they went home to the base, they could give their hearts to each other.
But because of their fierce dedication to the Survey Corps, it could never be both at once. Which made for a complex, behind-closed-doors relationship.
Levi absentmindedly checked his horse’s bridles and gear, adjusted his ODM gear with a click, and packed his flask and food sack into the saddlebag. He mounted his black steed. Once atop, he took a sip of water from his flask, the liquid dampening his lips.
Now on top of the horse, Levi was able to see the pink sunrise over the wall of Maria—a rather beautiful sight. When he turned his head to the left to see Hange in her own stall, preparing her horse for the day ahead, he noticed the sun painted her face in hues of magenta and orange. This image reminded him of the moon’s reflection on her face last night. Temporarily, Levi was flooded with warmth as he remembered their intimacy with nostalgia.
He couldn’t wait to get this over with. With a loud exhale, Levi looked down the stable stalls to where Moblit ascended onto his own horse. “Berner, are you ready to leave? Do you have the equipment we need to set up camp?” Levi called, echoing among the wooden stall roofs and walls.
“Yes, Captain, I’m making my final preparations now.” Moblit was trying to tie his saddlebag closed to prevent apples from tumbling out. Unless the Survey Corps’ command tent was going to fall out of the horse’s asshole, it appeared that Moblit hadn’t even packed the tent yet.
Levi’s horse snorted. Glad we’re on the same page. Levi stroked the animal’s mane in silent agreement. “We made final preparations five minutes ago! Get moving and make sure you have everything,” Levi snapped. It seemed like he’d already been awake for hours, yet by the sun’s standard, it was barely six o’clock.
“No need to be so harsh,” the familiar voice of the Commander said. Levi didn’t have to make eye contact with Erwin to feel the foreboding leader’s annoyance. Erwin rode past the stables on his horse with the surly Mike close behind.
“You’ll be working with Levi for the foreseeable future, so get used to it, Moblit!” Hange teased at the top of her lungs. She gave a friendly wave to Moblit and Levi, and then to her teammates, as she guided her horse out of the stable by the reins. Hange rubbed her horse’s muzzle as she made light conversation with the Commander and Mike.
Levi brushed off Hange’s satire, though his first instinct was to shoot daggers with his eyes at her as she straddled her horse. Too early in the mission to be bothered by Moblit and Hange’s friendship. Though Levi would be separated from Hange, he took great comfort knowing Moblit was separated from Hange too. Misery loves miserable company.
Levi straightened his back into a board and moved out of the stables with Moblit. He attached his horse to the wagon that carried the Corps’ gas reserves. They would need refills for their gear, especially if this scouting mission lasted as long as Erwin thought it would. Levi had taken the wagon, and Moblit was taking the tent… that is, if he remembered to pack it.
The other soldiers, put in charge of their own camps, loaded their gas reserves into smaller wagons. Moblit, no doubt beaming with pride that he had earned a leadership role, checked every other team’s gear at Erwin’s suggestion to ensure they were all packed for the days ahead.
This behavior of Moblit’s was all for show, Levi knew. Levi clicked his tongue with amusement as Moblit stumbled over a rock in the grass back to his horse.
It was a burden to ride in the standard group formation, far away from Hange. But with the other soldiers riding alongside them, Levi was able to tune out Moblit’s unceasing babbles.
“And during the Commander’s briefing, didn’t he mention that the other camps of soldiers will have duties of their own?” Moblit clarified. His head swung around to see the other troopers, who were quite fresh out of training. Moblit fit right in with them and their bright-eyed enthusiasm.
“If you’d been listening,” Levi scoffed, annoyed that he had to converse with Moblit who had asked him a question and expected an answer. “You would know these kids are practically titan fodder. They’re trailing Erwin’s team now so they can split off in the forest later. They’re supposed to make observations after they set up camp, but no one’s complaining if we return to the walls and they’re all gone.”
“With respect, Captain Levi, that seems rather out of pocket.” Moblit shot a careful look around the formation, checking to see if anyone was actually listening. “Thank goodness for the horses. If we hadn’t been moving, you can bet the other soldiers would’ve heard you call them titan fodder.”
“Erwin sends us to our deaths regularly. The secret is, we’re all titan fodder in his eyes.” Levi tsked. And then with a critical look toward Moblit, he said, “But some of us are actually capable of surviving.”
Moblit flushed. He was silent from then on. Good, Levi thought. I’ve done him a favor by showing him the reality of his situation.
The clunking of the horses’ hooves on dirt was monotonous to Levi. Clip-clop, clip-clop, clip-clop. The horses trodded at a steady pace, but not extremely fast. He zoned in on Hange’s figure, still decorated in the kisses of the sun. She laughed about something with Mike while they rode. Levi was so far back in the formation he couldn’t hear the vibrant laughter he loved so much.
If Levi were the one on Hange’s team, would she still be laughing with him? Or would Hange be silently fucking him with her eyes? Or both? God, he loathed this professional facade they put on. It put him at a distance from Hange and contradicted what was really there.
By the time Levi came out of his trance, he realized they had long ago left the walls and were approaching the forest. The green army of trees flooded Levi’s vision, nearly overwhelming him. Moblit’s mouth spread like butter.
“We made it!” One of the Scouts in front of Levi cried excitedly. Their hopeless optimism made Levi prickle. He had been right: they were going to get eaten alive.
A distant rumbling made Levi’s ears perk up. The patterned thuds in the ground instantly alerted him to the enemy. How big was this one? Levi would guess at least ten meters based on the heaviness of its steps.
“A titan.” Moblit wheeled around toward Levi. “How does Commander Erwin not see it yet?! I can feel it.”
Levi pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation. What an idiot. “Trust me, Berner—”
Phwoop!
Levi flashed Moblit an obvious look. “Everything is fine. Relax. Look.”
A streak of red had been fired across the sky from the front of the formation. Erwin’s voice carried across the entire field, even over the sound of the galloping horses: “Titan approaching! Move to attack positions!”

Who’s Next - Lapillus (Release)
youtube
-Right off the bat I was concerned by the thumbnail. I really didn’t want this to be another white background dance mv T_T I’m so bored of watching them.
-I was also a bit confused seeing the mv quality only went up to 1080p. Idk- I’ve gotten used to watching 4k mvs.
-I really like Lapillus’ logo!
-I’m not super fond of the song yet, but I think it could maybe grow on me with time?.. Wishful thinking because I really like Lapillus as a group-
-The verses are kind of empty sounding to me?
-I’m sorry but I really didn’t enjoy Seowon’s rap in this song T_T
-Shana looks so good oml, that blonde hair was a phenomenal choice!
-Shana has so much charisma recently, I love this grunge vibe for her! (Can you tell she’s my bias lolol?)
-The first brown haired girl that appears is really pretty omg (pretty certain this is Haeun?)-
-Haeun and Shana really shine in this era for me.
-The dance break was kinda awkward ngl.
-Sorry but I really hate warehouse dance scenes in Kpop 😭
-The mv isn’t necessarily low budget, but the budget was definitely used in an odd way- MLD probably should’ve put their money into other areas of the mv more.
-The ‘camera on the end of a gun’ shot was sick though, I’ll give the mv producer that. ^^
-The use of the 3D camera was also a pretty cool choice, but it was warps the girls quite oddly. It’s definitely one of those mv scenes you don’t want to pause at-
-I kind of have a thing against mvs using coloured smoke bombs for filler scenes (it’s so overused), but Shana looks really cute so idc that much.
-Ngl seeing shotguns used as props for one of Chanty’s scenes makes me nervous 😅
-I think the camera man should’ve pushed themself more, the shots are overall quite static and uninteresting. They should’ve gone harder to match the vibe of the song imo.
-Maybe controversial to say, but you can really tell this is an MLD mv and song.
-The girls were done kinda dirty with this era in general, ngl.
-Definitely a downgrade from their last two releases, but I will still look forward to their future music as always!

April Prompts #16 Cherry Pie
Another lil entry for the April Prompts challenge Rosie's Diner was their place. It had been since that day, right back at the start, that Thursday night when Billy had cornered Steve outside the Arcade and told him he wanted to apologise and Steve had decided to make him work for it, made him get back in his car and follow Steve all the way to the slightly run down diner just on the edge of town and told him in no uncertain terms that he had half an hour and that he was paying for Steve's meal.
It didn’t go well. Billy had stumbled his way through his halting, awkward apology, and Steve had hardly listened, more interested in interrupting to insist that Billy look at him, not the table, or tutting loudly whenever Billy started gnawing on his thumbnail in an attempt to calm his nerves.  And Billy got it, he did, the reason why Steve wanted to exert some control over the situation, but something about his sharpness reminded Billy too much of the 'conversations' he had with Neil, and he’d ended up tripping over his words so much that he couldn't even get the actual apology out before Steve was shaking his head and throwing down a tip without even counting it- although Billy could tell from sight that it was at least twice what the meal had cost- before striding away with nothing more than a gruff, "Whatever. Time's up, asshole," hissed in Billy's direction.
And maybe Billy should've left it. But it nagged at him, festering away and keeping him awake until a Thursday night a few weeks later, when he found himself, once again, tailing Steve's Beemer as he made his way from the Arcade to the diner. And this time Billy's speech wasn't rehearsed in the car beforehand. This time he launched right into it and he spoke from the heart, a clichéd phrase that he detested but that he kinda understood now, now that he felt filled with a sudden, burning desire to open up his heart and scoop out all that bad, putrid stuff he kept within him and maybe, possibly, make room for... something. Something he couldn't, or wouldn't, name but Something. Something better. Lighter. Easier to carry around.
This time the apology came easily.
And this time Steve seemed to listen. Maybe Billy had caught him on a good day, maybe he was just surprised that Billy was willing to try again, or maybe Max had worked her puppy-eyed, sternly worded magic, but this time Steve nodded in all the right places, at least, and he smiled a little when Billy called himself an asshole, then winced and shook his head when he started to call himself some harsher names, and he even looked a little concerned when Billy had to pause and duck his head down, swallowing back the burn of tears in his throat before he could carry on.
And he stayed there, in his seat, still listening as Billy's apology concluded with a, "And yeah, I know I'm a piece of shit and you don't… I don't expect you to forgive me. But I'm sorry, Steve. I am. Really sorry."
Steve had been silent for a moment, seemingly chewing over Billy's words, and Billy could've sworn he saw a flash of guilt in Steve's eyes as he pushed a laminated menu across the table and asked, "You gonna get anything, dude?"
And when Billy simply stared at him, Steve had carried on talking, his words coming out in a rush, "Cause, uh, the cherry pie's to die for. It comes with this, like, peach ice cream. Or I guess it could be apricot, maybe? I dunno. 's nice though. Tastes like summer. Like sunshine."
And then he smiled. Warm and soft as he tapped a finger on the menu, "You gotta try it, OK? Lemme-"  Steve waved his hand, summoning a waitress seemingly from thin air, "- this one's on me."
So Billy took the dessert as an olive branch, tasting forgiveness with every sweet bite of pie, trying not to read too much into the way Steve's smile grew even more when Billy mentioned coming back the next week, to see if the apple pie was as good as the cherry.
It soon became a thing. The two of them coming every Thursday night, arriving in separate cars but always sharing the same booth, stilted conversation quickly becoming easier and lighter. Steve had a knack of saying just the right thing to get Billy laughing so hard he snorted strawberry milkshake out of his nose, while Billy thrilled at having Steve hanging on his every word as he told stories about growing up in Cali, and it wasn't long before they made the decision to 'save on gas' and share a ride, usually Billy's, and the journey there was just as much fun as the meal, the two of them arguing playfully over the music until they finally compromised on something like Queen or ELO, and Billy, despite his initial eyeroll, would be out-singing Steve by the chorus.
So Rosie’s Place became Their Place. Somewhere special. Somewhere safe. It was the place where they went after Steve's fifth and final college rejection, Billy managing to take his mind off things for the first time in weeks as he fed quarter after quarter into the jukebox and queued up a whole host of Steve's favourite oldies, crooning the lyrics into the slab of pie he’d speared on his fork until Steve begged him, through tears of laughter, to stop.
It was the place they went when Billy needed to get away from Cherry Lane, when his lip was split or his ribs were bruised and he didn't want to talk about it, but he didn't want to be alone, and so Steve would carry the conversation, talking about whichever terrible movie he'd been watching most recently and glowing with satisfaction when he’d say something like, “And I swear, man, I was like half an hour in, maybe more, before I figured out that  The Count of Monte Cristo wasn’t gonna be a vampire movie,” and the broken look in Billy’s eyes finally disappeared, replaced with something that any outsider would probably describe as ‘fond.’
And it was the place where it all built up. Months and months of flirty jokes and hands brushing as they stole fries and moments where the conversation faltered and they would just look at each other from across the booth, both of them feeling like they were holding their breath, just waiting for something.
And it was the place where it happened. Where all those moments culminated into Something when Billy's foot pressed against Steve's under the table and Steve didn't pull away, didn't give Billy a chance to pretend it was just an accident, but instead he kept up the contact, trailing his sneaker up the back of Billy's leg, his eyes never leaving Billy's the whole time, both swallowing in sync as the moment grew and their fingers twitched, Billy’s hand sliding across the table, Steve’s fingers reaching out to meet it, fingertips touching just for a second before they both exhaled, rising at the same time and pausing only to throw a fistful of bills down on the table before they hurried out to Billy's car, parked so close that the neon signs of the diner cast a pinkish light over the front seats, illuminating the two of them as they fell into their seats and sat closer than ever before, Steve's hand resting on Billy's thigh with a tentative, shaky touch that Billy responded to with an equally shaky "Stevie?" as he laced their fingers together. And then they moved towards each other, so instinctively, so easily, Steve letting go of Billy’s hand only to gently cup his face, his thumb stroking over Billy’s freckled cheekbone as he guided Billy closer, and Billy let himself be led without question, his heart opening, ready and eager for Steve’s love, almost aching with how right it felt when Steve’s lips met his. Steve, who tasted of peach ice cream, and the sharp, perfect tang of cherry pie. Who tasted like summer. Like sunshine. Like hope.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Sano “Mikey” Manjiro
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It all happened fast on one evening.
Apparently, Toman had just finished a meeting regarding one of Toman’s captain, Pah-chin’s friend and his girlfirend being assaulted on their way home with a gang named Moebius. It was—of course—an unacceptable behaviour for a noble gang like Toman, Mikey surely made the right choice to teach the gang a lesson or two.
When the meeting was over, all members prepared to go home. It was the same for Mikey, not until a message pop up on his phone though. When he saw your username, he immediately unlocked his phone to see the message you sent.
It was a video, actually.
At first, Mikey thought it was just a random funny video you usually found in god knows where. But when he saw the thumbnail that was you, he couldn’t help but wondered. Did you record yourself doing something funny though? Mikey doubts that.
He played the video anyway.
Oh and—fuck you—he wished he would just drive right back to his home.
‘Cuz’ now he found himself walking away from the rest of the members while calling you. Sweat started to appear on his forehead, he felt his body all hot from just waiting a pick up voice—your voice. Fuck you and your antics, always find ways to make him horny—
“Mikey?” Fuck, just your voice and he felt like cumming. “It’s late already. What hap—“
“You wanna know what happened? Fine. You just gave me a boner with your stupid little act and I hope you’re prepared for what’s coming. Bent that ass high and handcuffed your hands, ‘cuz I’m not stopping ‘till you’re bruised.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Ken “Draken” Ryuguji
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Draken knew it. He should’ve known from the strange red thumbnail he saw on his phone.
He was talking to Mikey about the ambush of Moebius when his phone suddenly vibrates. At first, Draken ignored it ‘cuz he knew he can check it after Mikey finishes. But apparently, Mikey notices the light inside Draken’s pocket. “You should check your phone Ken-chin.”
Draken hesitates, “you sure, Mikey? I can check it after you finished though.”
“No, it’s okay. It’s probably from (Y/N), maybe she needs your help.” Mikey looked to the other side while Draken sees what you sent him.
A video. With a strange red looking thumbnail.
What now? You recorded a summoning of a demon? He played it anyway.
Draken didn’t realize it’s been five minutes since the video stopped and Mikey waving his hand in front of his face. “Ken-chin! KEN-CHIN! What happened!? What is it?—“
“NO!!!” Mikey was taken aback when his friend suddenly screamed and clutching his phone hard, near his heart. Really, what made him scared so much that Mikey failed to take a peek into his phone?
And Draken curses his face for turning pink slowly.
“…you got a fever?” Draken ignored Mikey’s question, while he walks fast avoiding other remaining members. He picks up his Zephyr and guiding it while reviving the engine. When he’s sure he’s far away enough from everyone, he gathered enough courage to call you.
Lines. Fucking lines made him more nervous until—
“Hmm? Ken? What’s up?” Fuck your sleepy voice. Fuck everything else.
“Be ready, babe. Mouth open and wait for me. Oh and make sure your throat’s slick enough. I wanna go hard tonight.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Mitsuya Takashi

The meeting has ended and now Mitsuya is talking to Hakkai about the food they gonna get on their way home. Mitsuya thought about getting a burger when suddenly his phone vibrates. He unlocked his phone to see you sent a message.
Before he can open the app, Hakkai screamed. “Taka-chan, let’s just go to the nearby restaurant. They’re having a discount package!” Though Mitsuya’s a little bit disappointed, he lets Hakkai do his things.
When they got to the restaurant, Hakkai being the one who orders while Mitsuya looking for their seats. When Mitsuya waited for Hakkai to finish his orders, he opened the message you sent again. He was surprised to see it was a video, not a text.
Seeing the thumbnail that was you, he thought it was just a video of you doing cute little things.
When he played it, he didn’t see anything cute though.
Rather than cute, he saw your sexy—curved—body doing poses that make him… you know. Bathed in red lights, he couldn’t see what you were wearing. Or is it actually nude? You? Naked? Fuck, now Mitsuya’s legs trembling hard and—
“Taka-chan, you okay? Your face’s all red.”
Mitsuya tried to gain his composure back.
“Yeah. I’m fine.” Mitsuya shifting uncomfortably in his seat, trying to hide his blushing face and his boner. Hakkai slightly notices his leader’s weird behaviour though, but he decided to ignore it.
Moments passed and Mitsuya tried. He tried. To be calm again. To not be bothered by what he just saw.
But fuck. He couldn’t resist you.
With a swift, he exited the restaurant. Hakkai was calling him when he revived his Impulse. He searched for your contact and began to call you. Long lines made him impatient and ready to just drive into your house when suddenly your voice came out.
“Mitsuya? What is it?”
Fucking slut—
“You ready, babe? Legs open wide and make yourself wet first. You won’t come to school tomorrow.”

Kawata “Smiley” Nahoya
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ambush of Moebius is decided and Toman will go all out on August 3rd.
Nahoya, being the one excited for the event, deicided to warm up by playing some brutal online game with Souya. Before they got to their motorcycles, Nahoya makes a bet with Souya; whoever lose must buy the groceries every morning for a week.
While his brother grumpily agreed, Nahoya phone vibrates. His revived engine got forgotten when he unlocked his phone to see you sent him a message. “Nii-chan, you’re coming?” Nahoya waved a hand at him to wait for a minute while he reads your message.
There was no message, only a video with you smiling on the thumbnail. Thinking it was just you doing some tiktok’s dancing, he played it immediately. At first it was just you, smiling and doing cute poses. Until the middle of the video, you stayed in one pose and the screen suddenly turns red.
And you start to do sexy poses.
One of them being grinding on the walls.
Fuck, Nahoya wishes it’s his crotch you grind on.
He didn’t realize he drools until Souya punched his shoulder. Eyes squinting, he eyed his brother’s suddenly strange behaviour. Thinking it was because of the video, he tried to peek over his shoulder. Nahoya locked his phone quickly and told Souya that he canceled the bet.
“You go home first. I have other things to do.”
While Souya still thought that his brother acted weirdly, Nahoya paid no mind. He guides his motorcycle away from the rest of the members and began to call you. Grinning widely, the long lines just made his excitement grows he felt he can explode.
“Nahoya? Babe?”
That’s it. That’s my bitch’s voice.
Nahoya felt his whole body shivered.
“I saw your video. Wanna grind on my lap instead? Also, you can provide a good stripping before that.”

A Bump in the Road || D.M
summary: you and draco get into a fight after he becomes distant
pairing: draco x reader
warning: angst, draco being an ass, fluff
word count: 1.6k
a/n: I just came back from a small vacation and thought of this + wrote it on the plane lol so srry if it’s not the best
Tumblr media
you felt many emotions as you entered the hogwarts grounds, the school year starting and summer coming to an end. you felt happy and excited due to the fact that you would finally be able to see your boyfriend, draco, after what seemed like forever.
your parents decided to bring you on a trip to europe this summer, giving you no time to spend with him.
spotting him from afar, you ran up behind him, bringing your hands to his eyes. "guess who?" you sang song, smiling to yourself. "hmm, crabbe?" your hands left his face as he turned around, greeting you with the smile that could make you melt within seconds.
he cupped your face, lips softly attaching to yours. you could stay like this forever, however he pulled away before turning sideways towards a brunette girl who stood by his side.
"y/n, this is astoria greengrass, daphne's sister. we spent a lot of time with each other this summer since our parents decided to do business together."
you grew confused, draco didn't mention her or their parents' business deal in his letters to you. nonetheless, you brought your hand forward to the greet brunette.
"it's so nice to meet you, daphne talks about you a lot."
her hand met with yours, shaking it politely. "I'm sure they aren't good things then," she joked, causing draco to chuckle as you laughed.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*  *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
a few weeks later into the school year, you were sitting at a table in the library waiting for draco as you had planned to meet up with each other after dinner.
he was supposed to be here ten minutes ago. those ten minutes turned into fifteen, and those fifteen slowly turned into thirty.  you weren't mad at him, it's just very unlikely for draco to be late.
you decided to wait a few more minutes for him, your eyes feeling droopy as you stared at the clock ahead of you.
you were startled as you were suddenly shaken awake by madam pince, informing you that the library had just closed. after apologizing endlessly, you sluggishly walked back to the common room.
you were confused as to why draco failed to show up, however you convinced yourself that he accidentally fell asleep after having an exhausting day. entering the common room, the laughter of a boy and girl filled your ears, and you immediately recognized the boy's.
as you walked further in, you saw draco and astoria laughing together on the couch in front of the fireplace, papers scattered everywhere. he didn't notice you at first, but when he did, his smile fell upon seeing your weary state, suddenly reminded of your plans.
"merlin, I'm sorry. I've been helping astoria study for her potions test tomorrow and I guess I lost track of time," he hurriedly rushed over to you.
you weren't going to lie, you were hurt. maybe even jealous? the fact that draco had kept you waiting long enough for you to fall asleep until curfew due to astoria made you the littlest bit of sad, however you pushed the feeling away.
"it's okay, I understand. I'm feeling tired, I'm gonna head up and get ready for bed," you gave him a small smile, waving to astoria as you turned to the direction of your dorm. "do you want me to come with you?" draco offered as he reached out for your arm.
you sighed as you glanced around at the messy area in front of you. "no it's fine, I'll just see you tomorrow," you mumbled the last bit as draco planted a kiss onto your forehead, a frown appearing on your face. "and astoria? if draco's helping you study, you're definitely going to ace that test," you teased as you finally turned around and headed for your dorm.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*  *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
you expected this to be a one time thing, but was left disappointed as draco started to spend more time with her and less with you.
a few weeks ago you had to help mcgonagall clean up a mess made by other students after school hours as you were a prefect, causing you to be late to meet with draco after his quidditch practice.
finally arriving to the quidditch pitch, you saw that he was already conversing with astoria. after apologizing for being late, he assured you it was okay because he had "astoria to keep him company." if anything, it only made you feel worse.
and just a few days ago, he didn't meet up with you after class to walk you to lunch, so you headed to the great hall without him, hunger taking over your body. upon entering, you recognized the blonde boy and saw that he had already been seated, diving into his meal.
beside him, in your spot, sat the darn brunette girl. you gulped as you turned around, heading to your next class, not wanting to be around the both of them.
for every instance this happened, you couldn't help but get more frustrated and jealous as you started to see him less.
you lost it one saturday morning when you went to meet up with draco for your weekly hogsmeade trip. you were looking forward to this day as you and draco always spent saturdays hanging out with each other to catch up and relax after a stressful week.
your smile dropped when you saw astoria by his side in the common room. when you were told that draco had invited her to hang out with the two of you, you hadn’t said anything and dragged draco to your dorm.
“what’s wrong darling?” he inquired, worried about you as you stood with your arms crossed.
“I’ve barely seen you recently because you’re always hanging out with her, and the one time I finally get to see you, she’s there!” you didn’t mean to raise your voice, however your anger has been pent up for way too long.
“you’re over exaggerating,” draco stated, causing you to scoff.
“It just makes me sad sometimes, I’m starting to think you enjoy her company more than mine,” your voice broke and so did your heart as you thought about it, hoping it wasn’t true.
“you know, maybe I do enjoy her company more than yours. at least she’s not as annoying or dramatic as you.” you felt your heart drop upon hearing his words, tears threatening to fall out.
you opened your mouth to retaliate when you closed it, not wanting to dig an even deeper hole. “y-you’re right, I’m sorry.” your words contradicted your thoughts as you knew he was not at all right. you turned around, starting to play with the items displayed on top of your desk in attempt to distract yourself.
you took a few breaths to calm yourself. “you should go back down, I think I’m gonna stay behind, I just remembered I have a project to complete,” you came up with an excuse as the tears finally fell, wetting the parchment below you.
you waited for him to bid you goodbye, but instead you were met with the slamming of the door behind you.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*  *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
you had managed to avoid draco for some time now, not being the confrontational type and unsure of what to do if you had talked to him. you were sure that he didn't mean what he said, yet again, life was always full of surprises.
for example, one night, he had surprised you as you entered your dorm to see him seated on your bed, waiting for your arrival.
"we need to talk," draco stood up as you avoided eye contact with him, not as comfortable being in his presence after what he had said about you.
"okay then, talk." you crossed your arms, still not prepared for the conversation waiting to unfold.
"I didn't mean what I said," so you were right. "I just had stress building up that whole week, and when you came at me I kind of freaked out."
you sighed, "that doesn't give you permission to take it out on me." your voice was so small and soft that it made draco feel even guiltier.
draco gulped, "I know it doesn't, and I'm sorry. it wasn't fair to you, and I should've just listened to you in the first place. I love you, y/n, and I wouldn't want to do anything that would jeopardize our relationship."
"I think we may have to work on that last bit," you jokingly tapped your chin in attempt to ease the tension as draco let out a small chuckle. moments of silence passed by as you stared down at the ground, gathering your thoughts as draco waited patiently for you to say what was on your mind.
"I forgive you, but..." draco's expression suddenly dropped as you let out a shaky breath. "I need you to give me some time, what you said really hurt me."
draco nodded, telling you he understood. "and I want you to take time to listen me next time and see things from my perspective. you can be friends with astoria but I think you need to set some boundaries." you started to bite down on your thumbnail, scared that you were asking for too much from him.
"of course, I already talked with her and we can take things as slow as you want," draco held open his arms as you slowly embraced and thanked him.
he pressed a loving kiss onto your forehead as the two of you continued to hold one another. pulling away, small smiles were worn on both of your faces, knowing that you guys would get through this little bump in the road.

I’ve been irrationally stewing about the teaser thumbnail lmao. Yes it of course should’ve been one of the leads, but even more, an unflattering closeup of Penelope looking smug isn’t going to induce people to click. A beautiful woman like Simone as Kate or Anthony in the bathtub? Even the Queen? Yes. Penelope looking crazy? No.
Honestly I’m a bit over their marketing.
I don’t really understand the logic behind not being heavy handed on the romance aspect of the show, and more on LW but maybe that’s just me being a book fan first and a lover of HR novels in general. The show itself started off as a romance and everyone was more interested in Saphne than they were in LW. So I’m sure returning fans want romance again not Gossip Girl. It really isn’t even that intriguing since everyone knows who LW is anyway. The poster which I’m quite sure will be the tie in over isnt doing any favors. It’s cute but when you compare it to one from S1 the optics aren’t great.
As far as thumbnails go I think Anthony in the bathtub would’ve been the best choice. Maybe something neutral would’ve been better. Like the one overlooking the ton. Or maybe since the show is about family this season, one of the Sharmas would’ve been nice.
I don’t think Penelope looks crazy but I think the showrunners assume that LW is the most attractive factor of the show overall and that’s why they chose her face. And really the fact that she’s the thumbnail wouldn’t be such a problem if the EW shoot was heavy on Simone and Jonathan content.
People are saying “well maybe they want to keep things about the story a mystery” There isn’t a mystery surrounding the seasons main story other than what they’ve changed about the Sharmas. So with that I get why Shelley Conn is missing but not why there isn’t much focus on the leads. Everyone knows who Anthony will end up with because they’ve already announced Kate as his leading lady. And the fact that Bridgerton has blown up the way it has, I doubt other than some thousands of viewers, everyone knows the gist of Kanthonys story.
The problem isn’t Penelope being the thumbnail, it’s the fact that she’s the thumbnail after fans getting very little content marketing wise of the main leads. Also the fact that Daphne was the face of both teaser and trailer of s1 isn’t doing any favors.
So some can wait and watch to see if marketing gets better towards the premiere of the show.
I’m not really gonna do that anymore.

Jouska [Hotch x Reader]
Chapter 10:
Tumblr media
Gif credit: @dudeitiskarev
A/N: Shorter chapter, an almost outtake before things really kick off. Emily ships it.
———
“Though soulmates aren't looking for you, they will find you.” - Kevin Ansbro
———
Hotch balances his phone against his shoulder and hops around on a single leg trying to pull his sock over his other foot. His words are strained when he speaks, “You’re gonna have to give me an extra twenty minutes, Ben I’m running a little late.”
“Yeah, that’s fine - wait what are you doing? Why do you sound like that?” McCall asks.
He’s dangerously close to losing his balance, and decides against breaking his tailbone just because he might be late to work. “Nothing. I’ll see you in 20,” He grunts into the phone.
Downstairs, Haley buzzes around the kitchen, moving from countertop to countertop, disinfecting the worktops as breakfast sizzles in the pan. She’s working on aggressively scrubbing a particular spot of grout on the worktop when Hotch makes his way downstairs.
She’s been so high-strung the last few days. Maybe even more than normal and he can’t quite figure out why. She’s being attentive and showering him with affection and has a ton of energy - teetering dangerously close to smothering him, he thinks.
She surprisingly didn’t have a lot to say when he came home after spending the night at your apartment a few days ago. It’s refreshing, sure, but he’s waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Notwithstanding her almost overnight transformation, she’s also tossing and turning through the night, enough for Hotch’s own sleep to become disturbed, her eyes are always wide, darting around, almost paranoid and her nails are bitten to the quick.
She’s been waking up at dawn for the last two days to clean and scrub every inch of the house now and Hotch swears he could probably eat off the kitchen floor the way she’s disinfected every possible surface of the house.
“Hey!” She whips around when he enters the kitchen. There it is again. The squeaky, high voice. The disconcerting smile.
He frowns, watching her carefully as she throws her arms around him. He doesn’t have a chance to respond before she turns back around to fix him a plate.
“You okay?” He mutters, eyes following her movements.
“Yeah! I feel really good! You?” It’s like she’s forgotten how to blink.
He nods slowly, offering a tight smile in response. He’s lost for words and actions right now, takes everything in him not to profile her.
That’s got to be unethical, right?
But he can’t help but notice the way she diverts his questions, her paranoid body language, her overcompensating.
She’s hiding something.
Hotch follows behind her and motions for Haley to sit at the table, he’ll bring them both breakfast at the table, he tells her. She hesitates moving but he gently nudges her over with a hand on her back and she takes a seat, chewing her lip. Even at the table, she’s not really sitting properly, it’s like she’s almost squatting, bottom barely touching the seat, on her tiptoes, back straight.
Hotch walks over with two plates of food and she offers him a tight smile as he does. He’s about to walk back towards the fridge for juice when the house phone rings, Haley immediately shooting up from her chair.
Hotch taps her on the shoulder. “It’s okay, I got it.” He assures her but she trails behind him, anyway. He picks up the receiver from the stand and offhandedly speaks into the phone, spotting Haley a few feet from him.
“Hello?”
Nothing.
Haley’s arms are crossed, her right thumbnail between her teeth.
“Hello?” He presses.
He says it one more time and hangs up when there’s no answer, shrugging. “Must’ve been a wrong number.”
Haley’s shoulders relax momentarily but there’s another ringing noise, this time from her purse, not even seconds later. Both of their gazes fall to her purse, her eyes widening and mouth dropping slightly.
The colour drains from her face.
He looks back at Haley with wide eyes who’s all but speed-walking towards her phone, the ringing persistent.
She flips it open, “Hello?”
He watches her carefully.
“Oh, hey Mom!” She squeaks, her voice breaking. “Can I call you later? Aaron and I are about to have breakfast.” She pauses. “Okay, bye Mom!”
She chuckles and points to her phone. “It’s uh- my Mom. She says hi.”
“Yeah, I got that,” He nods and glances at his watch, careful to keep his eyes on Haley. “Actually, y’know what I gotta go, I’m already late. I’ll grab something on the way.” He explains.
Her face drops but she nods, grabbing his keys and briefcase for him. He bids her an almost cold goodbye, jogging to his car. A thought occurs to him suddenly that steels him, he glances at his watch once more, frowning.
“It’s 6am in Seattle.”
———
“So do you guys have plans today?” McCall asks, taking a sip of his coffee.
You take a bite of your toast, telling him that you’re going visit your father today. You still hadn’t told him about what happened at the restaurant a few days ago, and the more time that went on, the more you think you’d like to keep it that way.
You weren’t sure how he would take it, he could fall sick again, like he had last year when the notes first started appearing and you didn’t want to risk that, not after you’d just got him back. Besides, he was the only person you had left besides Emily.
And Hotch.
The butterflies start again. Try as you might, you couldn’t divert your attention away from Hotch and the time you’d spent together. Nothing happened, sure. You sat and talked all night, but something about that night, something about the way he’d made you feel so safe and secure, stuck with you.
The air had shifted between you.
But this was just a case, an assignment. After they caught this guy, he’d go back to his normal life, move on with his girlfriend and live his life.
But you weren’t so sure what you’d do.
Maybe it’d pass - but there’s a constant buzzing in the back of your head and in the pit of your stomach that maybe it won’t pass.
Something about this, about him - feels different. Heavy. That occurrence settles dread in your stomach, you’d got attached before you’d even had a chance to talk yourself out of it, before you’d even realised what was happening.
It’s just a crush, you tell yourself.
The three of you turn your attention to the door when there’s a knock, Hotch’s voice calling out from the other side.
“I’ll get it!” You throw your toast back onto your plate, shooting up from your chair. Emily scoffs watching you scramble from the table, her downturned head shaking.
Hotch freezes when you open the door, expecting to see McCall, but he’s greeted by your bright eyes instead. He smiles and offers a quiet ‘Hi’, his face softening and you respond the same, both of you standing by the door, sharing a quiet moment with your friends just behind you.
His eyes look glassy when they gaze back at you, his usual warmth is there but there’s something else, something different. You can find it in the way the tension in his shoulders dissipates , or the way his cheeks blush just slightly.
Emily clears her throat pointedly, standing behind your couch, and it rips you both from your stupor. You chuckle and step aside to allow him to come in, his hand brushing yours as he enters. Your shiver doesn’t go unnoticed by Emily, who watches with narrow eyes from afar.
“You want some breakfast? There’s more than enough,” you ask.
“Thank you, I’m fine.” He responds almost instinctually. McCall thanks you for breakfast and starts to make his way out but Hotch stops him, handing him the keys to the car and motions outside.
“I’ll start the car.” McCall mutters.
Hotch turns back to you and straightens out his tie over his shirt. “Can we talk?” He asks, clearing his throat.
Emily slowly slinks away into your bedroom, and your eyes meet Hotch’s. The air changes suddenly so you turn your attention to the kitchen in an attempt to ease some of the tension, wrapping a doughnut in some parchment paper while he speaks. You figure he maybe sensed something the other night and this would be his attempt at letting you down easy. You swallow when there’s a long pause, the atmosphere thick.
“I wanted you to hear it from me, but Emily told me about your ex. Jordan?” Your head whips back around to face him, trying your best to hide the surprise in your face.
“Oh?” You swallow.
This is worse.
“Yeah. It’s none of my business and I probably should’ve told you the other night, but I just wanted you to know that we’re on our way to see him now. We need to question him. It’s a standard thing, just to see if he’s seen or heard anything.” He’s apparently hyper-focused on a spot on his shoe suddenly because he refuses to meet your eyeline.
You chew on the inside of your cheek. “Oh. Okay. Well thanks for letting me know.” This is embarrassing. Jordan was a mistake you’d made, a sleazy, gross mistake.
Shit.
You turn back around to pour some coffee into a mug, your cheeks burning. What would they even have to talk about? Jordan’s going to open his big mouth about how the two of you hooked up again, you think. It wouldn’t take long for Hotch to realise that it happened right after he’d begged you to let him in after you’d visited Quantico.
But why do you care?
It’s none of his business, he’s right.
Still.
The people you surround yourself with and all of that, you wouldn’t want him to think less of you.
And you don’t want him to think you’re not available.
He’s not available, you idiot.
He waits for you to look back at him but when he sees you engrossed with whatever it is you’re doing, he takes that as his answer and decides to quietly exit. He’s almost out of the door when you turn back around, to see him dragging his feet.
“Wait. Here.” You hand him the coffee and doughnut with a smile, your fingers brushing again.
“Hey, for the record. Jordan can be,” you pause. You didn’t want to disparage anybody but you needed him to know. “Difficult? Intense? Look, all you need to know is that he was a mistake I made and - I just.” You sigh. “I don’t want you to think any less of me.” You shrug.
He meets your eyeline this time. “What? Why would I think any less of you? I would never.” He says firmly.
He’s right. He could never.
“I know, still.” You can barely stop the words before they come up. “Your opinion means a lot to me.”
He softens. No - melts, at this, a smile making its way onto his face. He wants to reach out and cup your face, wants to feel your embrace again.
“Me too.” He whispers.
McCall sounds the horn from below, both of you flinching at the noise and dissolving into awkward laughter. He holds up the doughnut and thanks you for breakfast.
Emily emerges smugly from your room almost as soon as Hotch leaves, her arms crossed. She wears another shit-eating grin on her face, half teasing and half questioning, finally concluding what she’d suspected from day one. She goes to open her mouth but you stop her, holding up your finger.
“Not a word.” You warn her.

Truth and Awakenings Ch. 5
Summary: A Jemily rewrite of certain scenes in 14x15-15x03, with a few additional scenes :)
Chapter summary: JJ wakes up and tells Emily she’s in love with her.
Read on AO3
Tagging: @binariesarebullshit @bridget19 @jemilyisms
Emily’s eyes focused on one tiny spot on the white tiled floor. She was crouching forward a little, as she chewed on her thumbnail and impatiently tapped her foot. She felt a little tired after staying at the hospital for almost more than half of the day, but she wanted to stay awake for her friend.
“Emily,” Will called out in the hallway, making her head snap towards his direction. “She’s awake. She wants to see you.”
Emily stood up, wiping her somewhat sweaty palms on her slacks. “Is she ok?”
Will smiled, “Why don’t you go see for yourself? I gotta go pick up the boys.” He saw Emily staring off into space and placed a hand on her arm. “I really think you should go see her, Emily. You’re one of the most important people in her life.”
The woman was taken aback by that statement coming from Will. JJ’s husband. That means nothing, right? Emily is one of JJ’s best friends, of course, he would say that. She hesitantly nodded and Will patted her on the shoulder before leaving.
Emily took a deep breath and shook her head to drive her nerves away. She slowly made her way towards JJ’s hospital room and her eyes searched for the blonde.
JJ saw her and gave a smile. “Hey, you.”
Emily softly smiled back, “Hey.” It faded shortly once she examined JJ’s body resting on the bed. Her eyes were filled with concern, “How are you feeling?”
“I’m fine.”
“JJ…” her boss warned, knowing that she was lying. That response always meant, 'I don't want to talk about right now. I can handle myself.' Emily was very familiar with that phrase.
“Emily, I’m fine. Really,” JJ told her. Emily raised an eyebrow at her, clearly not buying it. “Ok,” the blonde finally said. “I will admit it kinda hurts when I move a little.”
Emily awkwardly pointed at the door. “I should go and let you get some rest.”
“No. No, not yet.” JJ sighed happily, staring up at her with love in her eyes. “I’m glad you’re here. I missed you.”
“I missed you, too.” The grey-haired woman slightly smiled and her eyes scanned the room as she bit her lip in worry. She lifted a hand before JJ stopped her, knowing she was going to bite her fingernails, and felt the blonde’s hand easily slip into hers.
“I should’ve found you sooner. I shouldn't have made us split up…” Emily started apologizing.
JJ shook her head, “Hey, it’s fine. I just happened to have found Lynch and his daughter when we did. I’m not blaming you for any of this and neither should you.” She knew Emily always put herself down for risking other people’s lives, and would rather put her own life on the line just save them. JJ needed to make Emily understand that she knew the other woman didn’t intend to put her in danger.
Emily blinked and shook her head. She almost didn’t believe her best friend would ever forgive her. “But this is my responsibility and- and you got hurt.”
“Emily-”
“You flatlined for a few seconds. I was there when they-”
“Emily,” JJ cut her off, her face softening afterwards. “Look at me.”
Emily finally put her attention back to the blonde and began to relax her shoulders, brushing her thumb over JJ’s hand. “You could’ve died, if I didn’t make it on time.”
“But you did make it on time.” A smile slowly made its way to JJ’s face, “You saved my life, Emily. You always did.”
Emily shrugged, “I don’t know what I’d do, if I didn’t.”
JJ simply nodded. Even the blonde wouldn’t know what to do with herself, if Emily was hurt on the job, either. JJ understood what Emily meant because she would’ve done the same and risk her own life for her.
Then, she remembered why she told Will she wanted to see Emily alone. “There’s something I need to tell you.”
Emily froze for a second, as questions began to run through her head. She’s not quitting, is she? I understand if she does, I mean, she nearly died and-
She felt a gentle tug at her hand and glanced down. JJ had seen Emily lost somewhere in her thoughts again, so she decided to bring her back down to earth, rubbing the older woman’s thumb. Emily brought her comfort earlier, so it was her turn to offer it to her, feeling Emily’s hand squeeze hers.
JJ’s tongue darted out at the corner of her mouth before taking a shaky breath. “Will and I divorced two years ago.”
Emily’s eyes widened in shock. “Oh my god. JJ, I don’t- I’m so sorry. Did something happen?” she stuttered. Part of her hoped that was a sign that she could finally be with JJ, but the other part of her was confused as to why. She had no involvement in destroying their marriage and they didn’t even look like they were having any issues (to her and everyone else, at least), so why was she still freaking out?
“Kind of,” JJ sighed and Emily brought her focus back to her. “I realized that I’ve been in love with you. For a really long time.”
Emily’s body froze again. She’s in love with me? JJ… is in love with me? I don’t understand. Why?
The blonde’s eyes widened in panic. She must’ve misheard her earlier, then. “I’m sorry, Emily. I just thought that-”
“No, no, no, no!” Emily exclaimed too quickly before clearing her throat, cheeks flushing a light pink. “I mean, uh…”
JJ shook her head, suddenly feeling embarrassed. “Look, I know you’re with Andrew but-”
“I’m not with him anymore,” she said. “We broke up. It’s over.”
Upon hearing this news, JJ smiled in relief.
“Now, what made you realize you had feelings for me?” Emily grinned, as she dragged a chair nearby to sit next to her, choosing not to leave the room. She rested her chin in her palm and looked at the younger agent with adoration.
JJ let out a genuine laugh, feeling glad that her secret was out. “Well, at first I thought it was this little crush because you were… so strong and amazingly stunning, and confident.” She shrugged with a little head shake, “And because of that, you seemed way out of my league, so, you know, I tried ignoring it for a while.”
Emily was surprised that JJ found her almost hard to get, especially when she was thinking the same about the blonde. “Was I really that intimidating?” she asked with a chuckle.
“Maybe, yeah,” JJ giggled, finding that ridiculous now. “Well, I thought it was kinda hot, so…”
Emily just smiled and let her continue, ignoring the small blush appearing on her cheeks at the compliment.
JJ looked down and interlocked their fingers together. “I guess, after a while, I saw how you tried making me feel like I was important. That I was valid. No one’s ever made me feel that way before. You never forced me to change. You always made it comfortable for me to be myself and never judged me.”
“Then, there was that time I was tortured, and I thought of you coming to my rescue." She shook her head and sighed for a second, "I realized my mind always went to you and nobody else. I should’ve known that sooner, but it took me a while to know about these feelings I had for you.”
It was true. JJ didn’t know she had all these signs right in front of her. All those years, she had dismissed those as little ‘coincidences’ or merely someone just helping a friend out. It was way deeper than that. Emily cared for her in a way no one else in her life had, and was willing to lay down her life to save JJ’s.
JJ glanced back up to meet Emily’s eyes and gave a warm smile. “You’re the first person I’ve ever truly loved. I loved Will, too, but it was never as much as I loved you. I, uh- that’s why we decided to divorce. It gave me time to explore my feelings about you and now, I feel sure that I’m in love with you, Emily.”
“Really?”
JJ nodded, tears forming in her own eyes, “Yes. God, I love you so much, Emily.”
“I love you, too, JJ,” Emily whispered with watery eyes.
The two women smiled at each other, finally feeling the weight lift off their shoulders from professing their love for one another. After almost 14 years of yearning, they were now able to be together.
Emily sighed and pressed a kiss against JJ’s forehead. The blonde frowned, making Emily laugh.
“Why didn’t you kiss me?” JJ pouted even more and tilted her head to the side. Emily thought it was adorable.
“Because I don’t wanna give the medical staff a hard time, if the monitor goes off,” she winked, earning a playful slap on the arm.
JJ rolled her eyes and shook her head at her remark. “What a charmer.”
“Hey, you said you were attracted to my confidence, so you’re gonna have to deal with it,” the grey-haired woman smirked.
“Shut up,” JJ blushed and licked her lips. “Um, Emily. I forgot to tell you, but Will and Spencer actually knew about the whole…” she awkwardly gestured with her hands, “me being in love with you thing.”
Emily needed a moment to register those words. That explains why Will didn’t seem mad at her or anything like that, but wait. “Spence knew about this?”
“Long story,” the blonde answered, placing a hand on Emily’s arm. “I’ll tell you sometime after I get out.”
“Well, Dave knew about me having a thing for you, so…” Emily quietly confessed.
“So, do you think they were waiting for us to get together?” JJ asked, a little amused and surprised.
Emily shrugged, “Probably. For a couple of profilers, we really are blind.”
JJ laughed, and her body was filled with warmth and giddiness when the older woman kissed her hand. Emily frowned at the small object on JJ’s finger. Speaking of profiling… “What about your wedding ring?”
“Oh,” JJ gave a sheepish smile. “I totally forgot about it. Whoops.”
She toyed with the ring, shyly looking at it before waving her hand. “I, um, kept it on because I didn’t want the team throwing me questions about my divorce. I already had enough thrown at me when I was a liaison.” Then, she leaned in closer. “Also because I didn’t want some unsub or detective thinking they have a chance and try to hit on me,” she winked.
Emily chuckled in amusement. “Wow.”
“I’m telling you, the ring works every time.”
Emily playfully shook her head and stared at the ring on JJ’s finger. While she wasn't the one married to the younger woman, she smiled at the thought of sharing her life with JJ. But that seemed too soon to think about.
“What’s with the smile?” JJ asked, forming one of her own.
“Nothing,” Emily played off with a wave of a hand.
JJ tucked a piece of hair behind Emily’s ear and kissed her knuckles. “Emily,” she quietly said. “I know I’m in a tough situation right now, but… how about I take you out on a date after this?”
Blushing at the small gesture, Emily answered with a smile. “I would love that.”
JJ felt a sense of relief when she accepted the invitation. “Does this make us a couple now?” she wondered where their relationship stood at this point.
Emily opened her mouth, blinking as she carefully chose her words. Sure, they had just confessed their love right now, but she decided she wanted to take things slow with JJ. “Well, we’ll see how things go before we think about putting labels on whatever this is,” she offered as a compromise.
“Ok,” JJ nodded in agreement and beamed at her. “I love you, you know that?”
“I love you, too.”
After a few seconds, JJ nudged Emily’s arm, “Hey. Once I get discharged, do you think-”
“Nope! No, absolutely not. You are not working under those conditions,” Emily warned, shaking her head.
“But Emily…” JJ stressed each syllable of her name, pouting. She hoped this and her irresistible baby blues would work on the grey-haired woman.
“That’s a no, Agent Jareau,” she said with a serious look in her eyes, though, she had to mentally restrain herself from giving in.
JJ playfully whined even more, “Emily, I thought you loved me!”
“That gives you no excuse to be out in the field right now," Emily shook her head. God, JJ was even more stubborn about her well-being than she thought.
"Fine,” JJ crossed her arms over her chest and pretended to sulk, like a child not getting their favorite candy.
“You’re so cute,” Emily smiled and kissed her nose.
JJ took this as an opportunity to snake a hand behind Emily’s neck, bringing her head closer. The softness JJ felt against her lips made her melt instantly and she wanted to continue kissing her longer. She felt herself nearly getting dizzy from it and thought she was going to faint soon, but she didn’t care. JJ had been waiting years to do this. She just didn’t expect Emily to be that good of a kisser.
They both heard a rapid beeping and Emily nearly jumped out of her chair. Dr. Hsu came rushing in and laughed after she got the EKG monitor back to normal.
“Oh, I knew you two were a couple,” she said, seeing the flustered women, before leaving the room. “Make sure you take it easy. You almost had us worried for a second.”
“I told you,” Emily smirked at JJ, now noticing the effect she had on the blonde.
JJ lifted a shoulder and innocently smiled. “I couldn’t help myself.”
