feeling nostalgic for MCC 9 Blue Bats and Pink Parrots, just all the times hermits won in MCC really, or got close to it

like the mcc9 pink parrots having the lord thing and lord grian dreamslayer.

how everyone predicted blue bats to come 6th and then they clutched in sg and reverse sweeped in dodgebolt.

mcc11 lime liches was a bop to watch, fav moment was when they all surrounded scott with the Bdubs skin, 10/10

mcc12 because Cub got so close to winning it was heartbreaking

mcc13 for obvi reasons, it was such a good team, also 10/10

mcc17 is probably my favourite or 2nd fav, orange destroying in build mart, grian popping off in sky battle, comeing 2nd in sg, and Grian winning the finale in a 1v3 againt FruitNinja!?!? that nearly gave me a heart attack, i remember vividly sitting on my chair telling myself there was no way Grian was winning this and not to give myself false hope, AND THEN HE WINS IT!?!? istg, the adrenaline rush was worse than when my mum asked to see my search history.

Wanting to collect my thoughts on MCC29 as a women’s history month event

• Dodgebolt coming down to False vs Gee is a big one, so cool to see how everyone — regardless of which team they were rooting for — cheered them both on

• Jojo coming first again is massive, as she’s the only woman to ever do so (the first time was MCC25)

• also screw you, nonbinary people count, Ranboo making top 5 makes the list!! Especially considering the only other time we’ve had two non-men in the top 5 was Hannah (2nd) and Ranboo (4th) in MCC27

• This event had had 15 non-men contestants, making it joint 3nd for the highest of any canon MCC to date!! (MCC27 had eighteen, MCC10 had seventeen, and MCCs 3, 23, and 28 had fifteen)

• There was also only one team (Orange Ocelots) that was exclusively men, which has only occured a couple times!!! (MCC10 had at least one non-man on every team, but two of them were viewer teams; MCCs 3, 19, and 23 also had 9/10 teams with at least one non-man on them)

it was the lizzie vs joel dodgebolt mcc (mcc10, which was also the one with two viewer teams), jimmy’s team was him drm george and puffy. iirc they got 3rd place and only missed db by a small amount and. weren’t happy about it. so they spent dodgebolt complaining about it, saying they could have done better and it should have been them because of how slow and inaccurate the db teams were and they didn’t really know any of the players in db other than scott and kinda pete. that second part would be fine if not for the fact that dream at one point says “let’s just pretend these are the viewer teams” and jimmy just kinda awkwardly laughs and even puffy is shocked that he just said that out loud. jimmy is quieter than usual the entire time and after db ends he leaves vc very fast and visibly brightens up the moment he does so :( like i am rewatching as i answer this to make sure i’m giving an accurate answer and yeah it’s really obvious

i’ve only ever watched the dodgebolt section of his vod bc frankly i don’t have the heart to watch an entire three hours of this but almost every comment on the vod talks about how rude they were and how sad and quiet jimmy seemed the entire event so. i don’t think it was just dodgebolt.

him being a bit nervous at the start of the stream since he was playing with like two completely new people (flashbacks to mcc10) and their dynamic turned out to be so fun everyone hyping eachother up and all

I remember the mcc10 where like poor jim was teamed up with dnf and puffy but they were mostly ignoring him to do their own thing except puffy tried to interact with jimmy and all and I'm so happy that this team turned out this way

because being teamed with people completely out of your zone can end in so so many disastrous ways

I'm just really really happy and this was such a pleasant end before the break.

Ok being serious for a second i think a large part of why people dont take george’s skill seriously is because of the kind of streamer he is. he’s an entertainer, he likes to entertain his audience and ensure they’re having a good time even during events like mcc. he has his facecam on and he makes his silly goofy faces and he shrieks super loud and he makes all these fun jokes and he’s just super fun to watch.

compared to many of the S tiers/A+ tiers, a lot of them dont even use face cam and when they do, its only there as like a courtesy, they arent using it to be entertaining. so people often believe Less emphasis on being entertaining = better performances (makes sense, more focus etc)

which is why george is even More impressive to me, because not only is he able to continue being the kind of entertainment streamer he likes being during mcc but he’s also able to consistently place high whilst doing so.

remember how george once played mcc w facecam off in mcc10 and got 9th despite being 20th usually in s1 and now he regularly places like 8-13th but on the higher side more usually in s2 and he’s kept his facecam on the entire time

No but literally just take out Dream for a few events. Most ppl are out for an event after being in one, plenty skip an event or two. It annoys me so much that Dream complains so much and is like "Noxcrew personally hates me!" after getting treated like everyone else. So why not keep him out for a few events like everyone else? Not unfair at all and less toxicity. (It annoys me so much when he's like "I hate Buildmart and glitches fuck Noxcrew" even though he's still doing way better than most MCC players in general. Buildmart isn't out to get you personally dude it's just a game you're ok at instead of amazing calm down. There are people who do much worse at their weakest games then he does at Buildmart. There are people who's averages are worse than his average Buildmart scores and who's best games are much fewer and lower scored than his best games. None of the people who do much worse than him most of the time are as negative as he is about the slightest thing. People who have nowhere near as big fanbases as him and whose fanbases don't have a history of harrassment will do much worse then he ever does in MCC and still try to be positive and jokingly complain but then be like 'remember this is all a joke' after and not cross any lines in that complaining. Meanwhile he can't even do half of that in response to his little MCC roadbumps. I don't think he's a terrible person but I wish he'd just stop being such a sore loser at MCC time).

Anyway uh. Sorry .... Normally I try to be nontoxic and peaceful but Dream MCC just riles me up a bit and I think once I started writing I may have released some repressed rage I didn't know was there.

this literally this dteam are already in far more events than most and are the cause of like 90% of the drama. dream has won, what, 7 events now? the entire tournament is catered to players with his skill set with the exception of buildmart so of course its become mccs punching bag. i remember mcc10 when his team did average in battle box and he started complaining that the map was "too easy to rush" as if wool rushing isnt just another battle box strategy. not to mention mccas when he and sapnap got pissed everyone was rushing them even though they were the best pvp team and fighting would've been pointless. every mcc we have to put up with his poor sportsmanship and then his fans making it 100 times worse to the point of harrassment.
