Now that MCC is coming back, can we take a second to appreciate how Rendog has personally never stepped off the MCC9 podium. He got a crown once and becomes obsessed with it in multiple universes and made it everyone's problem. He put on his AS skin for a Decked Out run to channel the winner's energy. Still talks about Dodgebolt (he has literally been in one single Dodgebolt). If he can't win something, he pushes for False to win it. It rewrote his own character lore. He became a champion and then became a king. It all started from there— MCC9 Blue Bats.

It's funny that I remember in MCC S2B / S3, people were getting concerned about the longevity of MCC and the imbalance between for fun / competitiveness but none of the solutions seemed to work and everyone was like "yeah, unfortunately it is what it is" then Noxcrew comes in like a wrecking ball like "what if we removed numbers. lmao" and the community goes 👀

When “THE DUNGEON IS READY FOR ITS NEXT VICTIM” stops playing, the MCC Sands of Time soundtrack plays distantly and HBomb walks out. Lights flash everywhere, and you see the Empires / Life series / HBomb / hermits hanging out in the Decked Out lobby and comparing decks. Everyone in the crowd is going wild and crying. Then if things couldn’t get any better, Ren and Martyn walk into the lobby and kiss, holding the Dogwarts flag.

carefully traversing through decked out 2 (tumblr) with a compass in hand (a renchanting post), trying to avoid the unavoidable clank (posting shit in martyn’s tag). i drop the compass (press post on tumblr), find the precious artefact (notes on the renchanting post), and try to make my way out alive. heartbeat racing, clank accumulating, hazards shutting down my path— and then BOOM a ravager jumpscare (martyn has reblogged your post). i am instantly killed and scurry back to the lobby (private discord server) like a scared animal

I personally think a Ren-Cleo team up for next life series would be fun because they’ll make a lot of inappropriate jokes but still be sweet and loyal to each other, and secondly when Martyn swings by for his obligatory hopeless devotion roleplay with Ren, he’ll have to face the fact that Ren is now besties with Cleo of all people.

Personally speaking there’s something so beautifully nostalgic about seeing hermits and co meet up and hangout irl? Like it feels like the way old conventions work (pre Covid) with post Covid technology/ technology popularised during 2020 like Scar’s remote robot. The silliness of watching them go around and compare heights and talk to each other. The pie thing. People interacting with Scar through the robot. Martyn being a champ and powering through reading the donos despite being sick. PEOPLE SLIPPING IN AND OUT OF EACH OTHER’S STREAMS. Each stream providing a slightly different pov but you vaguely here the same audio in the background because they’re all together!! They’re just really just a group of friends who organised a charity event and they’re hanging out <3
