Loki S2 Finale Prediction
Tumblr media
With all the news and announcements coming out, i decided to make a prediction for what the finale will be. tbh This is based on what I have seen in the trailer and other stuff
——————————————————————————
The episode would pick up back where it all started in episode 1, where the TVA is in shambles and Loki would be time slipping (or not)
Now from episode 1, it's understood that Loki HAD the ability to go from the past, present and future of the TVA with a part of that future being seen towards the end of episode 1, with the phone ringing, Sylvie struggling to get the elevator door open and present Loki being pruned by someone (which many have believed to be future Loki) but I beg to differ.
I don’t think it was future Loki pruning past (or our current) Loki, and the only reason why I believe this is because, TO ME it doesn’t make sense how FUTURE LOKI would prune his past self, how could 2 versions of Loki be in the same timeline of the TVA? Especially since Loki has been time slipping back and forth that entire episode.
NOT TO MENTION that Sylvie calls him out “There you are!” As if she’s been searching for him for AGES or is relieved to find him, but before anything could happen, Loki is pruned and sent back to the present (to where EP1 left off)
Why would “FUTURE” Loki prune himself? Because he knew that “it's what needed to be done?”, to me it doesn’t make sense nor do I think it’s plausible that it was him….so who pruned Loki?
My 2 guesses are Ravonna Renslayer or Victor Timely, with my bet being Victor Timely, which leads me to believe that Loki had to sacrifice himself (as seen by 2 shots in the trailer of Sylvie and Mobius with mortified faces and Loki simply smiling back)
Now why would he prune Loki? Because by sending him back to the past, Victor Timely has full control and power to start the TVA all over again or at least re-claim control of it in the future, and basically reset everything once again (as explained by He Who Remains in the S1 Finale)
So by the time we the audience and present Loki reach the future (or S2 finale) it would have been too late.
I don’t think Marvel would kill Loki off, honestly, in the position Marvel is in right now, it is NOT a good business decision, ALTHOUGH from a story point position…ending the Loki arc with a banger Season 2 would not only seal Loki’s entire history in the franchise, giving him a good or bad ending, is up to debate, but PERSONALLY a bitter-sweet ending would fit well for a character like Loki
I think the finale would involve Loki sacrificing himself to save the TVA, Sylvie, Mobius, and essentially…everyone. The future we saw in S1 was a future too late, it was bound to happen and this sacrifice, where I am pretty sure he would be back in the temporal loom could possibly kill him…or maybe spit him into a different timeline…or maybe…he wakes up, and he’s in Valhalla
——————————————————————————
I love fan theories and predictions, literally speculation of what could happen is just so fun so if y’all have ur own theories or predictions, go ahead and comment/reblog it, i love love love reading them!!

I absolutely love the headcanon/trope that Peter finds out about Pepper's pregnancy before she does, because he can hear heartbeats. It's canon now, I've decided. Pepper becomes pregnant with Morgan before the events of Infinity War and Peter's the one who tells her.
He even does a reveal with those mugs that say "You're going to be a daddy!" with one for Tony and one for Pepper that says "You're going to be a mommy!".
But something I love even more is that my other obsession, BBC Sherlock has something similar. AND IT'S ACTUALLY CANON.
Sherlock finds out that Mary's pregnant before she does, through deductions. He notices her appetite's changed, her taste perception's changed and she's been experiencing nausea that could be put down to pre-marital nerves. But he puts it all together and deduces that she's pregnant.
One of my favorite headcanons for MCU Spider-Man actually happened on Sherlock! I love it when this stuff happens.

Apologies if you've already answered it. I've been reading your metas today and linked posts and ngl I really love them and I feel like we're in full agreement with everything.
With season 2 of Loki merely 6 weeks away (idk, are you going to watch it? I think I will, regardless of my current feelings about it) what are your thoughts about the upcoming season? What do you expect we'll get in it? Do you have any hopes for it, or do you think it will be more of the same. The current promo does not give me a good feeling tbh. Also do you think Hiddleston could leave the mcu at the end of season 2? Or at least if this could be the last time we see TVA Loki. Sorry for lenghty ask 🙈 my season 2 anxiety is off the charts, I expect it will be more of the same with Sylvie leading the story and Loki following her and I'd love to hear your thoughts about s2
Awww, thank you!!! Season 1 was something I felt so deeply for! All my hopes and dreams were focused on it. And then it shattered me in a way I didn’t know was possible. Now, I see that it took me a full year to cope and decode what I was feeling. The metas I wrote during this time (including the survey) are more like an open diary of how I processed the show and stabilized my mental health. It means a lot to me that now those thoughts may help others, too. 💚
I’ll put the answers under a cut, because there are some triggers included.
what are your thoughts about the upcoming season? What do you expect we'll get in it?
Frankly, I expect the season to focus mainly on Sylvie and her character development. If I put my criticisms aside and try to see what the creators wanted to do with the series, it looks to me like their only goal for Larry was to morph him from a villain to a hero in a way that would be undeniable for the general audience. This was achieved by him watching the video and finally finding someone he cares for. So his arc was completed in season 1. His role now is probably to serve as a guide for her, and maybe to discover that his true power is only achievable through or with her. I don’t count this as “his” arc especially, but more the core of the general admiration Sylvie is supposed to get from everyone in-universe. It’s a part of being a Mary sue. As is excelling at everything, even stuff that is opposite to your characteristics and you have no former knowledge on that would make it seem believable you’d excel. Like this, you know?
Tumblr media
I‘m quite certain of this because Eric Martin is a huge fan of Sylvie and the ship. If you want to confirm I suggest looking at his Twitter. His tweets imply he intends to stay true to Waldron‘s and Harron‘s original ideas. This was confirmed by some people working on the set of season 2. I made the effort to find the original post, and it turned out that two people contributed to the post I experienced as thoughtful and reliable on Reddit. I personally believe those leaks.
Do you have any hopes for it, or do you think it will be more of the same. The current promo does not give me a good feeling tbh.
I think it will be more of the same. Sorry, I wish I could tell you something more to your taste. I absolutely share this feeling, and so do others.
Also do you think Hiddleston could leave the mcu at the end of season 2?
This article claims that Tom was supposed to leave the MCU at the end of season 1. Allegedly, season 1 was supposed to have 12 episodes and only was cut short because of Corona. This would mean that the original end of season 1 would be now the end of season 2. Does this mean he will leave? I can’t say. Disney‘s stock is progressively decreasing. Social media opinions on the MCU seem to grow more and more negative and depreciating. Perhaps Iger and Feige feel like Tom is one of the last strong pillars and try to keep him. At this point, I wouldn’t put it past them to try to keep the MCU afloat with Tom’s personal fandom. I don’t think that will work since Google stats show that his popularity decreased after season 1 to a point where it is now below the level it was after endgame. But they might attempt it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or at least if this could be the last time we see TVA Loki.
Even if he leaves I assume cameos are always a possibility, especially now that the studios are utilizing AI. But Loki? I‘m heartbroken, but I am very sure we have seen the last of him in TDW (and Ao3). May his reign bring him all the joy he deserves.
So last but not least:
idk, are you going to watch it?
I honestly don’t know. I certainly won’t pay for it. The last time I always watched the episodes was the day they came out so I could write my thoughts down here. But ngl, I’m tired of the fighting, the anon hate, and the feeling that opinions online are getting more important than the love for Loki. Right now, I’m trying to focus more on my fanfics than on the canon. Season 1 made me unable to continue my fics for almost a year. I don’t want to repeat that with season 2.
I still think that the show has done great harm to the fandom, to (some) people with poor mental health who needed Loki as a focus point, (some) gender-fluid or non-binary people who got exposed to sexism because of it, and possibly Tom‘s reputation (based on the google trends Infos). But for season 2 we know what to expect. We know it’s not Loki but Larry who will appear. And in this case, I think it might be best to leave the season to those it was made for, so they can enjoy it and keep as far away from it as possible.
If you want to watch it and still want to give Disney some negative feedback, I recommend watching every episode more than 7 days after it aired. Afaik Disney only counts views in the first week as real interest. Alternatively, 🏴‍☠️.

So I am ostensibly doing Fic Research by rewatching an episode of telly and re that post about Depressing Sylvie Headcanons I think it is probably correct and Sylvie no longer speaks Asgardian, for I def got the vibe that she has no idea what the words to that song are.

Meanwhile, look at the stance, look at the swagger:
Tumblr media
This 'serenading the lady (or gentleman, or whoever) to win them over' technique has worked before and is expected to work again. That's confidence. Misplaced confidence, but it's still confidence.
However:

Oh no, the lad is smitten. Caught in your own spell, you idiot. You fool. You protagonist who will be heartbroken a few episodes from now.

I'm screaming
I haven't watched The Marvels yet but I had to look up the flerken scene I saw gifs of because of my silly MCU/Cats mashup verse where I was like "Old Deuteronomy has totally had kittens with Goose" so I was feeling all silly like "oh, what are Old Deut's space alien kittens up to?" and you're telling me that Memory is literally playing in that scene in the actual movie???

What If? Season 2 Ep. 5 (Spoilers):
A.k.a the one where Carter keeps getting screwed over and I love it.
Fun and dramatic episode. And I can see certain shippers really enjoying this episode. I’ll be honest I’m not a huge fan of Captain Carter but it didn’t detract at all from the episode. Kinda hated Melina being in charge of the Red Room and a lot of her behavior was either weird or just out of character (Are the widows controlled by her or not? It was really unclear in the episode). Seeing old Bucky was really great and uh…Like I said certain shippers will really like this episode. I also love Uatu throughout the episode, from the beginning where he sounds so proud with calling Cap. Carter his friend to the end where he sounds so entirely pissed/tired of shit ruining his happy ending. Love Fury’s 1602 look and the fact that all the characters will be talking old timey and that somehow means Carter will be the most modern character is really entertaining to me. Also, Carter’s reaction to being (basically) Isekai’d is just to yell for her multiversal buddy to show up is perfection.

I have a thought
'i have a secret about you ...but it's gonna make you real angry'
Imagine Renslayer is actually either kang or his wife-
Like the chemistry between the two is not undeniable like you can't look at someone like that and tell me they weren't lovers in a different universe or are they pulling another Loki and Sylvie situation 😕

Valid criticism is still a thing, but like, I feel like many people have forgotten how to enjoy things lol. I'm out here genuinely still enjoying many new movies and games and like all online spaces are filled with people bitching about things 💀 they often drown out the comments of people who actually enjoy the thing.

Me watching bumblebee repeatedly when it first came out because hailee steinfeld is hot: yes I a straight woman think this is the best transformers movie (never seen any other transformers movie). Yes it’s the humor and story line I like yep definitely not her being so pretty and cool yep, I mean I’d date her but I’m straight.
I am not straight, those were not straight thoughts
Florence Pugh is also a very attractive woman and them both being in Hawkeye was definitely why I liked it so much

I know that Captain Apartheid has made gauging the legitimacy of twitter accounts functionally impossible, but please, please, I am begging you
All of those marvel "update" accounts that post any old rumour or speculation? Block them.
It's that simple. Just block them. The only things they're right about, you can get from actual reporting. Exposing your brain to whatever bullshit someone farted out to get clicks is not helping anybody

So in my mind, the MCU has been in 2023 the entirety of the pandemic. With some spilling over into 2024, as in the case of Wakanda Forever, but nothing past that. So all storylines of Phase 4, with the exception of the 2016 prequel that is the Black Widow film, are just overlapping in those 20 months from Avengers 4. Was made to realise only recently that Cassandra Lang is in fact no longer 15, but closer in age to her future best friend Kate Bishop. She still look 15 though so I should probably pump my brakes on this. (...I say as if I did not already go ahead to Google the age difference between Jonathan Majors and Kathryn Newton for Phases 5 and 6 long term⌛⏳🌀💫.)

In a month we'll meet the MCU's Talocan, including Namor and classic oceanic villain, Attuma. @JayAxe_ thinks he'll hit MCOC then.  If not, should he be in MCOC? Click, search for “Attuma,” and vote: http://tinyurl.com/mcocwishlist
