I do not trust Alice.

Her story feels too vague for me to trust. She didn't give enough evidence or details to verify anything but left enough for people to assume the worst. She doesn't say when they met up, she only gave the year, - where a majority of bars were closed for most of the said year - no exact timeframe, no exact date, she didn't even say what bar they went to. 

She didn't give any hard evidence, which I find weird considering she has/had pictures of them together to prove that they knew each other at least. - correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't at least one (1) of those photos shopped? Because I recall people pointing out things in the photos that didn't make sense. - She could’ve shown a screenshot of their exchange to meet up or some sort of bill or receipt of what they ordered at the bar. 

Some of the things she said in her story also rubbed me the wrong way. Like him walking through a populated town and getting recognized and her saying that felt intentional, like… He is a famous creator and musician, he is going to get recognized?! It's not like he told his fans to purposefully walk up to him, talk to him, or recognize him on that day. And him interacting with them could just be him being nice to his fans and not showing off?! Also isn't Brighton just very populated, like in general? Another is her saying that he didn't want her to appear on his stream, which he is in the right to do. Wilbur is a private person. It’s no wonder why he told you to stand where the camera can’t see you because he didn't want his fans to know he was dating or hanging out with someone?! 

These things make me feel she was purposely painting Wilbur in a bad light.

Do I believe that Alice and Wil knew each other? Yes. Do I believe that they had a weird or complicated relationship? Yes. Do I believe that it's possible they met up?  Yes. Do I also believe she could’ve lied or exaggerated? Yes.

It wouldn't surprise me if she did lie because of all the attention she saw Shelby getting. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen or heard of a person lying about an event to get support, money, attention, or for the simplicity of just hurting somebody.

I would also like to propose something, is it possible that Wilbur could be unaware of what Alice said about him? 

He was on a mental health break when this started and I doubt he was using Twitter all that much during his break and then the allegations Shelby made came out, we’ve only seen him use Twitter once and that was to address Shelby, it wouldn't surprise me if he deleted Twitter after he posted that. After all, we saw how much of a cesspool Twt is and what they were saying and probably sending him. (Hell, he most likely went offline entirely) Alice made her post on Twt and Instagram but she took the Instagram one down, so now, it's only on Twitter.

With the internet things tend to get exaggerated, completely make up things (like Wilbur doing Coke), or misinformation starts spreading. Weren't there people who thought Alice’s story was Shelby’s? Could Wilbur have thought the same thing? That people were exaggerating or making stuff up to hate him more if he did see any of it?

i think it’s completely possible for the photos to be photoshopped but we don’t know for certain. I agree she could have shown evidence like you say or because they were in a bar someone would have seen them. she makes out that normal things like him asking for her to keep the relationship secret due to her potentially getting hurt was a bad thing. i also think that it’s weird she said that when she talked to him about her mental health issues all he wanted to do was talk about his own and she made it out like that was bad when i know that’s how a lot of people communicate their feelings and how they express to the person that they are not alone.

one thing that confused me that i don’t see people talk about is that shelby said that before her he hadn’t dated anyone in 5 years but that completely contradicts alice whole thing so one of them is wrong.

i think it’s possible that at the start wilbur wasn’t aware of alice’s story because as you say he was on a mental health break and probably completely offline but i think he would know by now. i assume one of his band mates would have told him or someone from his team would have told him.

Feel like I should get on here and preface a few things really quick. Got a few points I want to add/re-add for the greater good of the whole purpose of this…

I don’t hate Peter, I’ve said it before but I’ll also say it again here. I don’t like Peter, for reasons I’ve already gone into great detail about, and I’ll probably never like him, but I don’t hate him either. Peter had his moments, which I say all the time to other people because it’s true. His charactor he played on the show was also fantastic (honestly if you don’t like character Peter I honestly believe you’re just sad), but real-life Peter just wasn’t it. Which is why I put my foot down so hard like I did.

But the thing is that wasn’t even the real point of why I brought any of this up. The reason I said any of this in the first place wasn’t just to shit on people, but to try and fix a little of the mischaracterization in their real counterparts vs their tv characters. As much as people don’t want to say it, a lot of what people classify Peter as isn’t what he was like. They then use that as a justification to hate on other people when the original point isn’t even something with much backing. That’s what made me sick was that. People were getting too much or too little love and care and it got to point where those lines began to blur. Which is something a lot of people have realized which I’m happy I’m not alone in.

There’s a huge difference as well I should say between just people having fun or joking around or making a bit then people actually passing these things off as fact. Just being creative in the fandom will never be a problem, in any fandom. It’s what makes one after all. I’m talking about taking something like a headcannon for a person or character or something of the general consensus and passing it off as fact. Which not only in most cases spreads not only misinformation that can hurt real people, but is just completely toxic that you have to be in a state of delusion or denial in order to enjoy something fully. But that point you aren’t even enjoying the actual thing or story or person, but the lie created around it. Which isn’t what that’s about. Again, not for people purposely creating art and fiction, because that’s fiction and it’s passed of as such and doesn’t interfere with anything, it’s just about people who don’t want to face facts when it’s time to.

Let me just say this, I’ve loved the Monkees for a very, very long time and of course because of that I have a lot of Monkees merch as well I’ve collected over the years. The most prominent one being a huge poster. I mean this thing is fucking huge, like half the size of a flag and then some. It’s the famous Monkee poster with the orange background that everyone had in the 60’s, I’m sure if you’ve seen it you know exactly what I’m on about. I chose that one for a reason, not just because of the history behind it but because I wanted one where everyone looked good. Mike, Micky, Davy, and yes Peter, I wanted one were I could see all of them because no matter what, they’re always going to be a set and it will always feel odd without them all there. There was recently a shooting in Georgia. My first college PE class was a self defense class where I learned how to disarm guns. I truly believe we are one election away from a dystopian nightmare where we pay with the blood of our children.

They get rid of phones in schools so that we can’t call our loved ones to tell them our goodbyes. My art class teacher immediately pointed out where to hide from a school shooter. And my class is at 6-9 at night in Southern California.

Meanwhile, states are trying to take away any rights that don’t belong to cis hetero white men. They’re trying to make being queer a sex crime and punishing those sex crimes with death. Conservative white men want to create a fascist nation, and once they get into power they will be unstoppable. Sure things might be bad in Gaza and Palestine, but they’ll get a lot worse if Trump gets elected.

Go ahead and cancel me for saying this, but when we’re one election away from being in a state of total fascism and genocide against queer people, we can’t really focus on issues abroad like Palestine.

I don’t want to have to fear going to school and create a playlist I have to listen to in my final moments due to being shot for being queer. I don’t want to have to sleep with one eye open.

The right just wants more workers to oppress. They want to keep money in the greedy talons of the dragons that they feel should control society. We are witnessing the active attempt to eradicate morals from society in the name of a false god. Actually decent healthcare, shelter, food, water, and safety is actively being taken away from people in our own country. Many of them are disabled. Many of them are queer. Many of them are women.

Another thing, you know how teachers are complaining on how far behind Gen Alpha is? And how bottom of the barrel content farms that show violent and pornographic content gets targeted to kids? Also notice how overstimulating some of these videos are (I’m looking at you, Cocomelon.) Meanwhile, KOSA is just trying to ban queer spaces and trying to keep people in abusive relationships. It’s late stage capitalism at its finest. So many people are suffering.

We can’t just focus on what’s happening in Gaza when our own kids can’t seem to get off their screens and read. I’d be damned if it’s found out that those shitty content farms that leech off of indie projects are in line with rich white conservatives that want to eradicate literacy to breed the ultimate worker for their own twisted purposes.

I know that last paragraph was controversial for me to say as an aspiring content creator, but I truly believe that there can be a way for content creators to exist in this world without making illiterate kids. There should be regulations in place that keeps young children off of highly addictive platforms such as TikTok and YouTube shorts. There should be better systems in place for content creators that emphasizes quality over quantity. Bring dislikes back. There is room for genuinely creative content creators to grow and share their platform, whilst keeping the scum away from vulnerable kids. There’s a place for porn on the internet, and it should be kept away from kids.

In synopsis, how can we focus on Gaza when there is active genocide in our own country and active attempts to create denial. Hey furry hackers, maybe target those content farm channels next! I betcha my soul you’ll find that the algorithm that YouTube and TikTok praises so much thrives off of feeding kids stupidity as some grand master plan by the possibly conservative white male CEO’s that want to keep kids stupid and poor just to keep brainwashing propaganda onto them. Malicious Targeting and Harassment of Others Towards the Sonadow Wiki

These days there has been malicious attempts from several users that come from the Sonic Wiki Zone Fandom Wiki that has been targeting the Sonadow Wiki in order to get it taken down unfairly. They even lie and manipulate things to the Staff of Fandom Wiki to get content taken down and threaten us to have the whole wiki taken down based off of false charges. (But the Admins or Moderators on Sonic Wiki have already went to those users and told them to stop bothering us, so they tried to help the situation with the users that inhabit their wiki site.)

Our content is mainly about anything Sonadow, which includes the harassment the fans receive from both fans and hired employees within the company as well as all the misinformation/disinformation spread by both fans and employees that are done to put down the Sonadow ship and its fans.

We have decided to move the content talking about this unto our Tumblr blog for the time being. Here you can still read all about it on your own time to understand why certain things happen the way they do, such as favoritism towards certain ships versus others or why characterizations for characters drastically change with little to no reason.

I personally, Philonite, have received many threats and harassment due to managing the wiki along with our other admin. Though when I go to Staff for help after following their rules, I was denied help once while I had to report the same user to them twice in order to get them to have the man stop harassing and threatening me.

There are even times people disguise themselves as Sonadow fans while also trying to maliciously target us to have the whole wiki taken down just because they don't agree with the facts or because they don't like the Sonadow ship.

In this thread, I will show some of the harassment and threats we have received while taking care of the wiki. We even run into individuals who tried to post NSFW on the wiki out of this spite towards the ship. These "fans" even created burner accounts to try to harass and vandalize the wiki as much as possible. Some of these insults even went to saying we needed to be put into "camps" or that we're morbidly obese and losers for recording the truth.

We try Not to engage with them as the rules suggest and try to get Fandom Staff's help, but as explained before, that does not always result in us getting helped. Instead, we are told to conform to what these bullies want or we are threatened instead despite us trying to report the truth with evidence and facts, such as how Sonic America lied about a Sonic Speed Simulator event in order to change the event from being about Metal Sonic [Link to video of Sonic Central advertising this event] to Sonamy by including Summer Sonic (that has the Sonic X bracelet from Amy on him) and Chef Amy into the game instead [link to post that put this event instead of the Metal Sonic event, as seen with the date June 11, 2022] or how SEGA HARDlight purposely make events surrounding Sonamy related content out of biasness, which they admitted to [link to post that says they like Sonamy and links to when an employee admits to liking and retweeting Sonamy art on purpose out of personal interest].

Fandom Staff even took the harasser's side on things and deleted content based off of false claims from the harasser while also coming to us and threatening us to take down the whole wiki unfairly. And she has said this even after seeing all the evidence of the unfair harassment we have gone through. And even then, she doesn't make sure the man can't ever harass me personally ever again, by again only giving him a temporary ban.

I'm currently watching Caelan Conrad's video series on the "g*nder cr*tical" movement, and it's made me realize that I'd like to properly look into that movement myself at some point. Whatever I do would not be nearly as labor-intensive or time-consuming to make (or as pretty and theatrical) as their videos, since I am neither a journalist nor a youtuber, but rather just some rando. however. through the pandemic I've come to realize that I have a deep-seated interest in learning how conspiracy and hate groups work (the two tend to go hand in hand), and how they radicalize people. It would also be solely online, using publicly available stuff, since I don't really want to spy on people (not even these kinds).

My goal is to eventually have a solid, step-by-step illustration of the radicalization pipeline, using several different bigoted groups as examples, for the purpose of educating other leftists (and other people in general) about what these pipelines look like and how people are pulled down them. I would also like to understand their group psychology, and the emotional core of their movements. It would be limited by the fact that I can only do my "research" over the internet, but I think it's a good place to start.

Anti-vaxxers

Regular white nationalists

Zionists (I consider them to be closely related to white nationalists)

My main interests lie in conspiracy logic, where misinformation comes from, how propaganda spreads, emotional and cognitive biases, rhetorical and argumentative tactics, group psychology, and the effects radicalization has on people (in terms of how they act and live).

Whatever I do, it's not going to start until at least a year from now, when I am (hopefully) more stable and (hopefully) have part of an education under my belt. I also wouldn't be looking into any of these groups at the same time. But whatever I find, whenever I do this, I'd put my results and conclusions here. maybe just as a post, maybe as a more formal essay, almost certainly not as a video though

Reflection 2

While reading The Reality Game by Samuel Woolley, several things stood out to me that I thought were interesting. The chapters I found most interesting were Chapter 4, Covering Artificial Intelligence, and Chapter 5, which talked about deep fake videos.

In chapter 4, "Artificial Intelligence: Rescue or Ruin?" the author explains the relationship between AI and disinformation, in which the same technology that spreads false narratives may also be used to detect and prevent them. We have to understand how to use AI to its best abilities so it can help us in our daily lives. Woolley also discusses the ethical consequences of depending on AI algorithms to differentiate truth from lie, underlining the need for openness, accountability, and a human-centered approach. I agree with the author about how AI can spread misinformation. I have seen it before when I have used AI, and in the past, it has made mistakes with the information I have asked it about. Since then, AI has gotten much better by the day, and now they have plug-ins to make sure misinformation won't keep getting spread.

Chapter 5, "Fake Video: Fake, but Not Yet Deep," introduces the viewer to edited videos and their frightening ability to alter reality. Woolley investigates the issue of deep fakes that utilize artificial intelligence to modify videos, commonly with malicious intent effectively. These videos blur the line between fact and fiction, exposing viewers to manipulation and skepticism. I have seen videos on social media of deep fakes, and they are beginning to get harder to notice whether or not they are fake. At first, you could tell from their voices moving at a different pace from what is being said. It has been getting harder to know since people are improving at making these videos. The author's investigation into deepfakes warns that our ability to distinguish truth from deception becomes increasingly tricky when visual evidence cannot be taken at face value.

Due to the rapid progress of AI and its potential for both beneficial and harmful purposes, proactive measures to ensure responsible use are required. Manipulation of video content calls into question not only our confidence in media but also our ability to create and retain trust in interpersonal interactions. Promoting media literacy, critical thinking, and digital skepticism is vital for maintaining the foundations of a healthy and informed society.

Throughout reading this book, other chapters stood out to me. However, these were the two chapters I enjoyed reading because of how fast AI and deep fakes are being produced. The creation of deep fakes and misinformation will hurt us, and we must be cautious of what we see and read before we spread this misinformation to our friends and family. To handle the complex issues our evolving digital environment provides, we must embrace education, collaboration, and ethical considerations. By doing so, we may work to protect the integrity of knowledge, strengthen our social fabric, and collaboratively design a future in which truth and honesty prevail.

The twins used to spread misinformation on purpose 

They told Mikey if he jumped from a tall area he could fly 

Mikey broke both his legs and the twins got grounded for two weeks

They also told Raph if he left his allowance under his pillow more money would appear

The boys hate eye contact

And sure Leo did lie about some things but being labeled a liar was kind of harsh in his opinion

The boys quickly came to his aid and told their dad that eye contact made all of them uncomfortable 

And Splinter said it was a damn shame because eye contact can make bonds stronger

The boys freaked out because they thought they weren’t as close as other siblings

April used to think it was a cute sibling bonding moment that she would never be apart of

Episode 5 of Yurei Deco deals with an interesting ethical dilemma, one that I think is especially relevant for autistic people, for whom truth-telling can be a compulsion. The essence of it is "Should you tell someone the truth even if it will hurt them, or is it better to let them believe a lie, even if they spread that lie to others?" The episode doesn't actually answer the question; there is no lesson learned at the end of it. Instead, it simply shows what happened when the truth was told, allowing the viewer to judge whether or not it was for the best.

I would love to discuss this with others! I'm going to give my thoughts under the readmore, for those who would prefer to watch the episode first.

I'm honestly really torn.

I feel so bad for the professor, who wants to create fantastical creatures, but is confined by his job to creating "scientifically accurate" ones. That's wrong; he should have a say in the kind of creatures he gets to make. It's easy for me to say that, as a socialist, but it doesn't answer the question at all; it's merely shifting the blame.

He rebelled against his circumstances by creating a fantasy creature and passing it off as a real one, hoping no one would notice the difference. That gave him a happiness his workplace wouldn't provide. And yet, it's deliberate misinformation. That's unethical. The museum patrons have put their trust in him to deliver something close to reality, since that's what's advertised, and he betrayed that trust, knowingly.

One character raises the issue that Berry, who wants to raise the issue of the misinformation (which she thinks was done unknowingly) with the professor, has faked her own death. That's disinformation, too. She just happened to have a practical purpose for it.

But is lying for a practical purpose better than lying for an impractical purpose?

In her case, it was so that she'd be able to see her friend. In the professor's case, it was so that he could pursue his special interest. It doesn't sit right for me, as an autistic person, to say that one is more important than the other, because I could never choose between one and the other.

He could have pursued his special interest in other ways, though. He didn't have to deceive the public.

The fact is, there are FAR more heinous instances of disinformation on this island. It's a place designed so that "no one has to see anything they don't want to see." Even the animals at the zoo aren't real! But does that make it okay to add on an extra layer of unreality to that fabrication? I know that many people would say yes. I just... can't.

I feel compelled to side with Berry in this matter, though I don't think I'm "supposed" to. Maybe I'll change my mind when I'm older; I don't know. Regardless, the episode was great.

I know the whole livestreamed chaotic nature of the Dream SMP is a unique and valuable feature of its storytelling and a huge part of its appeal and all...

But sometimes it's just so frustrating how much random misinformation there is floating around the fandom because nobody's seen all the streams (except maybe Tumblr user findingjoynweirdstuff, possibly).

I can't lie, it really gets to me. I feel like nothing pisses me off so much as people just spreading misinfo. Usually it's not even on purpose or anything and I can't blame them for getting shit wrong when so much of it is practically impossible to even figure out unless you happened to be watching a specific stream, and hell, as much as I try not to make assumptions, I've probably gotten things wrong too because I haven't seen all the streams either.... but man, it's so annoying.

Although the worst part is when people say wrong things with full confidence. I really wish people acknowledged that you can be the biggest Dream SMP fan and still not know half the things going on, because keeping up with the Dream SMP is not a hobby, it's a fulltime job. You can't even catch up during lore droughts because 90% of the VODs are gonna be gone by then. So just embrace the fact that none of us know everything that's happened and that's okay, and we should just not make statements about events we didn't see.

Or that we might misremember, because that's the other problem, even if you saw a stream live, you might not remember it correctly months after the fact.

Hi Stellarlex, I just want to know your take on the Volpina episode and whether you think Lila, Marinette, or both were wrong in that particular episode. For me, I could actually relate to Marinette/Ladybug in that episode because I've been in a similar situation. I don't agree with the way she handled the lies but I get why she was upset.

I remember when I was in middle school and one of my old classmates was spreading misinformation about me on purpose. I decided to confront her about it calmly to see if she was the one who spread those rumors. After I asked her, she had this guilty look on her face which confirmed it for me. However, I hated how some of my peers tried to pin the situation on me by saying that I was looking for a fight when I only wanted to ask if she was the cause of all of this.

Back to the Lila situation. I understand her to an extent since most people especially kids who lie to this degree clearly wants attention however my main issue with Lila isn't that she doesn't like being called out by Ladybug it's the fact that she doesn't like to be called out at all. She got so mad at Adrien for asking her not to lie anymore and he wasn't even mean about it. She actively chooses to lie and takes no accountability for her actions therefore I don't feel bad for her in these situations because most of them wouldn't have happened had she'd not lied in the first place.

Lila was wrong. 100%. Not Marinette.

The problem with Lila is that she doesn't just want attention. She wants worshippers. Fans. People to sing her praises for all the incredibly (FAKE) work she's done. She's a sociopath who is trying to kill Ladybug because she refused to fall in line with Lila's lies and called her out on it, and saved the boy she was trying to manipulate.

People want to say Marinette was wrong for calling Lila out the way she did, but the thing is, ANYONE that Lila lied about would be rightfully angry and have the right to chew her out for lying about them. Especially the kind of slander she said to make herself look better than a beloved superhero.

Marinette says she may have gone overboard but in my opinion, Lila got off easy. Anyone else would have sued her. Lila needed to be embarrassed like that because as we found out in Season 3, talking to her softly doesn't work. Her true nature came out, and its because Marinette embarrassed Lila in front of Adrien that she now knows that Lila is a viable threat. (Only because the other characters are dumbed down to believe her bullshit. It wouldn't work otherwise.) And it's why Marinette knows not to trust Lila or give her the benefit of the doubt.

Lila knows that what she's doing is bad and likes it, but she blames Ladybug for her own actions. She shouldn't have lied. Period. She got caught, she got embarrassed, and she should have taken her "L" and tried to change her behavior. But instead she blames Ladybug and tries to taint her reputation like calling her a liar to Adrien's face like in Chameleon, or telling Roger Raincomprix that Ladybug was "failing miserably" at taking down the akuma in Oni-Chan.

Marinette is not at fault for wanting to protect people (her job) from people like Lila, who have no problem exploiting others and hurting them in a city where Hawk Moth takes advantage of that. A bad day for someone is literally LETHAL to the citizens of Paris and yet Lila has no problem hurting others if it gets what she wants.

Crapshow’s video summary/commentary/reaction

Okay, so, let’s get clarify a couple of thing before going to this. If you want to see the video to see if she adresses the lolcow posts, the talking shit about her friends behind their backs, the allegations of lovebombing people to later hold it against them over their head, literally any of the misinformation people have talked she spread with her videos, the people she quite literally slandered with them or literally anything at all that would make her accountable for all the things people had a problem with her even if Emily Artful never opened her mouth or how the fuck Amy supposedly did everything… don’t bother. This video is not for you and, trust me, you can just forget about it alltogether. There is nothing of the such. She doesn’t even mention she doing anything wrong ever anywhere. In fact, it would be easy to say that this video is a big fuck you for anyone who ever cared about, during and after this, fans and friends included. If you ever had any hope for her to be a good person inside despite all the allegations, she hates you too and will spit in your face the next chance she has. So who this video is for? For anyone who believed Emily Artful. The main purpose of the video is to discredit Emily on every conceivable way, even if Craphshow doesn’t have any evidence beyond what her husband or the friends of her husband told her about. She talks a lot about how “there is multiple witness for this” but that means nothing unless you have those people coming to talk. I can say there is multiple witnesses to me winning the gold on all the Olympic’s sports and it would have the exact same weight. Now, I want to adress two common points I see people say in favor of Crapshow:

1.She needed to investigate all this stuff to have a case on a court of law because, sure, her husband is being accused of doing the unthinkable to someone. She didn’t had all that information already in hand because she was stalking Emily for years and keeping tabs on her, no, see, it was because this was necesary to have a case of defamation. Then why published it then? Let’s put aside for a second the little known fact that Youtube takes monetization of a channel if 6 months have passed without uploading anything and it was exactly 6 months since the last video of Crapshow. Forget about that. What kind of lawyer is going to say to their client “yeah, I think is a good idea to publish for everyone else to see in the world all this info we have collected all this time”? On what case have you ever heard of that happening? Plus, Emily said that the lawyers of Crapshow contacted her lawyer and literally nothing came out of it. The videos of Emily are still up. She hasn’t recieved any notification of anything after that first contact, yet on her video the first words Crapshow say is that the only reason anyone is watching the video at that moment was because she already won a case or they came to an arrengement. That is a lie. There is a lot of them through out. 2. Thanks to all this information now I don’t know who to believe because Emily could have lied about stuff too. You don’t know who to believe when someone accuses another person of harassment and stalker behaviour after the accuser demostrated they had information/pictures of someone from where they were 13? Are you fucking serious. Now, let’s get to the video itself. Since this bullshit is SO long, I am going to go through each chapter and give a summary of each. Part 0: Intro: Crapshow said that the video exist because her lawyer got a retraction from Emily or went to a court and won. Those are both lies. Bunch of screenshort of tweets with no context because they are meant to be the preview to show how nothing of what she said couldn’t possibly have happened. Many of such post look old and right now they are impossible to read. Last part of her message is that Emily must be lying about the stalking because Crapshow had all the evidence against her, and with the stalking she was ensuring she would always be the victim no matter what Crapshow said. Finalizes by claiming that Emily said to be told by her own legal team, the police and a private eye to delete all evidence to avoid being called out by Crapshow. It has been noted by other people who watched the video that some of Crapshow screensaves had the old layout of Youtube on them, meaning that you could only take them at the time they were first published and not after. Her story already doesn’t make any sense. Part 1: The relationship Bringing up the fact that Emily talked about past relationships. Two points of note here: 1. Emily talks about dating a 13 year old girl as a 17 year old on now deleted video. There is no image, only audio and we don’t know when it was deleted. Emily adressed this on her tweeter by saying that she was the 13 on her story dating someone older, but regardless admits that it was highly inappropiate of her to make that video at all. We don’t have any evidence one way or another and Crapshow does not provide one either. It’s literally just words. BUT even if you believe Emily is lying about this and she did dated a 13 as a 17, so what? She talked multiple times about how she had a lot of problems growing up and it took her a long ass time to grow up. If Emily was shown to be still a danger to 13 girls everywhere then yeah, this would be relevant, but she is not, there is no evidence or even claims of such a thing, so there is no real actual point to bring it up at all. This just serves to try to attack her reputation. 2. Crapshow is making the argument that Antony and Emily COULDN’T have had a toxic relationship because she didn’t said so before. This reeks of victim blaming and overall nonsense. I don’t know WHEN many of those videos were made, but if Emily was already aware that Anthony was following her and could see her videos, and she was scared of that man going after her, it’s natural to think it was best to shut up to avoid further problems and stirring the pot. Plus, Emily also talked about how it took her literal years to process what actually happened to her and realize how much it damaged her so it’s possible she didn’t even know how bad it was before. This is not an uncommon experience for survivors of any kind of abuse: you only gain true awareness of what happened after the fact, and for many that can take even decades. Part 2: Heroine// 2012 Crapshow doubts the whole history of drug addiction of Emily on two fronts: 1. Emily is lying about being an addict because she didn’t publicly talked about it before. The idea that addicts, or even people in general, won’t share any single embarassing detail of their lives is never a thing on Crapshow’s mind. Crapshow claims that Emily have been clean for longer than she talked on her video and this is meant to throw her whole story in doubt, even though Emily talked about relapsing before and multiple addicts spoke about how they won’t always remember the exact date of when they decided to get clean. This is literally pure speculation on her part and rather gross at that. 2. Antony couldn’t have been dating Emily or cheating on Crapshow with Emily because he has a hard policy against drug users, since he was an addict himself, and therefore, because her husband said so, Emily couldn’t have been using either at all and less than anything when Emily claims Antony assaulted her. This is entirely relying on the word of Antony and there is no hard evidence of anything. The idea that an abuser would lie to defend his own ass does not compute. Crapshow also makes the case that, again, Emily and Antony couldn’t have a bad relationship because Emily sometimes hang out with him and send him nice texts. Part 3: Online Harassment Emily did a review of some anime on a bathtub for a video and a bunch of dudes on the anime community at the time didn’t liked that, which they made known by ranting on their own videos. This is meant to prove that Emily could have been recieving harassment from any of these people, because we all know that harassers have a hard code of honor and would never even touch someone that was already getting harassed. That is how it works, right? /S Emily has talked before about she did thought multiple times it could have been other people, but it was the accumulation of years of “coincidences” that made her confident enough to make her video. We are meant to believe that accusing people of harassing her is a thing she just loves to do because she has talked about having harassers for a long time so... when Emily talks openly about something, it didn’t happened or she was exagerating for attention. When Emily DOESN’T openly talk about somethig, like how truly toxic a past relationship was or the amount of times she used drugs, then you can’t ever believe that thing happened at all. What a funny coincidence that in either case we can’t ever trust Emily and have to rely on Crapshow’s genius detective work. Part 4: Emily Sugarfruit Emily made the claim that she was forced to do camwork because of an abusive relationship she was in, which possibilitated that Antony and Crapshow used such information to get her fired from her job and then homeless. Crapshow says this isn’t true because at the time Emily had been fired and talked how a “cyberbully” made it, she was living with her dad and therefore couldn’t have an abusive ex that forced her to do camwork or be homeless at all. Because everyone remembers with pitch perfect accuracy everything that happened on their lives with exact dates and everything, right? I want to point out too that Emily took a week to make her video with all the evidence she could gather. A fucking week to remember more than 10 years of her life. I don’t even remember what I ate last week for lunch. But this also isn’t true because the man Emily lived with when doing camwork is still her friend, and the evidence of their enduring strong frienship is Emily posing on a picture with this dude with the date conveniently cropped up from the screenshot. I forgot that abuse victims are conditional vampires and therefore unable to appear on the same picture as their abusers. Sure.

The proof that Emily COULDN’T have been homeless is that she took some instagram pictures on the house of her father. We are not meant to question how the fuck does Crapshow recognize the decor of Emily’s dad house. Let’s imagine that Antony knew about it because the decor never changed since he and Emily dated, so he was able to confirm it for Crapshow. Fine. That doesn’t prove she wasn’t homeless, only that maybe sometimes she got to crash on her dad’s house. SIde note: this section is WAY TOO FUCKING LONG. It’s really the posting the videos of a bunch of guys talking on one hand about how much they hate a girl did a review of One Piece in her bathtub and on the other hand how ridiculous it is guys are mad about it. Alright, we get it. There was once upon a time on Youtube’s anime community where Emily created a little discourse around the ethics of reviewing One piece on her bathtub. So what. Some of the screencaps have the old Youtube layout so they must have been taken back then. Who the fuck cared about archiving this? Apparently the reason why Crapshow knew about this is because “some guy” that reuploaded again a video where Emily was dancing on her brat was also coincidentally Antony’s friend, thus making him and her aware of the harassment Emily was getting from the anime community. At this time, by Crapshow admission, Emily was already working with Antony, which means that they had already dated, already broke up, already back again on flirty terms and cheating on Crapshow. Which could have made it possible for Antony to already be interested on documenting all of this. Mmm. I am sure is a coincidence and Crapshow is totally right that this was just the first time she and Antony ever heard about what happened to her. I mean, she proves this by showing a bunch of messages on Facebook that are arrenged on a very rare way because there is no reaction, no like button and I don’t know why it’s so dark? I literally don’t know where these messages took place at all. It’s a back and forth between “Other User” (Antony) and Shannon Cld, talking about how they both saw the video, Shannon talking how she saw another video on her channel, admitting that she was keeping up with her content. But I am sure that is irrelevant. They were just so concerned about Emily and Antony only cared about making sure that Emily was alright. That is why we are not showing any messages of Antony asking Emily if she was alright, like how we did showed messages of Emily sending polite texts to Antony, and instead just how a random ass Facebook post from Emily thanking people for supporting her without any name Side note 2: her audio editing is so shit. One part I hear perfectly fine and the next it sounds as if she is whispering into the mic from a closet so the killer can’t find her. Creepshow makes a note to clarify that she TOTALLY clarified that she was homeless by choice (on a random stream of some random guy and literally nowhere else years before she was really relevant) but it’s fine that she used that multiple times to deflect criticism since just because she made a choice to do the van life doesn’t mean she couldn’t be negatively affected by it and din’t realized only after the fact. Nevermind the fact she actually made a video about how to survive while being homeless for people who didn’t had any choice into being homeless, profitting off it. But Emily should have totally processed her assault the exact second that happened and talked about it all over social media, and the fact she didn’t only proves that she was never assaulted at all. What? No, this isn’t a disgusting double standard, what do you mean? Part 5: Camming Emily never did any cam work because she didn’t had that many followers and one time she made a tweet about how much she hates her roomate on the account where she was talking about being a camgirl, which obviously couldn’t have ever happened if her abusive partner was forcing her to do cam work, even though… twitter and whatever platform she was using to do the camwork could have easily been two different places. The abusive partner could have only cared about the monetary gain and nothing else. Again, showing Emily being nice to the supposed abuser to proof to everyone that no abuse could have taken place. This is why survivors don’t like you. Part 6 Disproving her own story

Crapshow says that Antony couldn’t have been catfishing as one of Emily’s friend to find out where she worked because at some point they were friends on Facebook and Emily published about it on her twiter, showing messages where she talked to him about working on some type of place. This doesn’t contradict anything because on her twitter Emily claims “this is where Antony find out what KIND of place I worked at the time” and on her video she said that he (or Crapshow) catfished one of her friend to find out WHERE that place was by referencing exactly what kind of place was, but she catched on quickly and blocked them. Knowing what kind of restaurant Emily worked in and where specifically is the adress at are two very different things. The reason no one called this out was because it was only further confirming what she she already said. Crapshow says that she couldn’t have possibly being involved with any of this because at the time she was dating someone else (no evidence of this, who knows if that is true) and therefore she couldn’t POSSIBLY have any interest on what Emily was doing or not doing. It’s not like the point of unhealthy obssesions is that they make you irrationally obssesed about someone regardless of what was happening around you or anything. But even if that were to be true, that still doesn’t exenorate Antony. Then she uses the term of service of Photobucket to prove that they could have never hosted Emily’s nudes there, since nudity isn’t allowed. Yeah. And the ban porn on tumblr was 100% effective the moment they announced it, right? She really just keep saying “Antony and I had nothing to do with this” and just expect everyone to believe it without any evidence. Look, folks, this email account Emily claims hacked her Facebook, even though she clarified she didn’t remember correctly, is associated with two random ass youtube accounts so that couldn’t possibly mean Crapshow and her husband have anything to do with it, right? Who ever heard about harassers creating multiple account to deflect attention from them? That is not a thing, Crapshow said so. Then Emily “disproves” her claim that Antony or Crapshow ruined her opportunities of working as a make up artist with bad reviews because Emily admitted she was denied a licence, so she had to do all her work freelance through social media and craiglist. According to Crapshow, Emily showed she lied because she mentions how she is about to get her licence on the messages she shared with Antony, meaning that she hasn’t been denied the licence YET but there is nothing to proof she wasn’t denied after that conversation. If Emily was working as a make up artist freelance or through craiglist, then why couldn’t have been through DM sor social media that those negative reviews happened. Literally no one proof read this shit because someone actually paying attention would have told Crapshow that this blatantly twisting Emily’s words. She also used a pen that Emily used on a deleted art challenge video as further proof that Emily worked at certain place. A pen. She slows down and makes sure you see the fucking pen Emily is holding. What the fuck, Crapshow. There are criminal cases of people fucking dying where they obssesed every little detail LESS than this. FIX YOUR FUCKING AUDIO, WOMAN, I CAN’T HEAR SHIT. See, Emily couldn’t have seriously be scared about anyone stalking her and coming to hurt her because she talked about being on some public place on a big public area every Tuesday. Also she COULDN’T have been fearing anything from Antony at all at the time because they followed each other on instagram… nevermind Emily talked about how on that time period she still had no idea who was harassing her and still didn’t suspected Antony. Yeah, not the smoking fun Crapshow think it is. Why the actual fuck a portion of this is Text to Speech voice? The sudden inexplicable change just send me. Part 7 The snapchats

Crapshow said that Brandon and Antony couldn’t have ever been little edgelord on highschool because Emily didn’t met them at highschool, which is a blatant lie and another twisting of Emily’s words. The claim of Emily is that the two shitheads TALKED about going to their old highschool and shooting everyone. No claim was made that she met them during that time period. Futhermore, Crapshow wasn’t there on any of those conversation so literally all anyone has to believe that it didn’t happened is the word of those two filtered through Crapshow now. The two knucklehead don’t drive, threfore they couldn’t have possibly ever TALKED about kidnapping anyone, and they couldn’t possibly ever TALKED about shooting because they didn’t had access to guns. See, only edgelords have access to driving and guns. Everyone else is barren from it. Crapshow is using here the argument that the shithead friend of Antony couldn’t have possibly ever say a bad thing to her because he is autistic and Emily is being ableist by implying he could be anything else but an angel. Now, I am not autistic myself, but I don’t think autistic people appreciate this. Crapshow then goes on to say that Emily should have evidence of these conversations happening. These in real life conversations. We all totally record those all the time, right? She has an infographic. She made a fucking graphic with the subtitle telling us all that Antony never had a snapchat, therefore it could have never happened, Crapshow said so and therefore it couldn’t have ever happened. Crapshow questions why Emily still had romantic conversation with Antony if she “really” feared for her life. Because she wasn’t sure that the guy threatening through snapchat was Antony, Crapshow, we went through this. Only after this nonsense does Crapshow show a reddit post of someone talking about how the snapchats Emily recieved could have been a a viral campaing, which she should have opened up with because saying “my husband the alleged abuser said this” is shit. Emily never said anything about “pulling a gun on my ex boyfriend”, she said she made known the person that was messaging her that she HAD a gun to defend herself. Even if she was right about how Antony never threatened her through snapchat (and I don’t see any more conclusive evidence than “other people already recieved similar message around the same time”), Crapshow is relying HEAVILY still in us to trust that she or him couldn’t have another account. She asks “why Emily didn’t went to the police if she was recieving what she percieved to be death threats”. Because the police fucking sucks and they barely move a finger when it’s an in real life threat, what the fuck do you want them to do about an snapchat account? Also, she did talked about going to the police and telling her they couldn’t do shit, which is confirmed by the experiences of many people who went through similar stuff. More victim blaming rethoric, you don’t love to see it. WHY ARE YOU WHISPERING. Crapshow claims that Emily was already persueing her and her shithead legally even back then with no evidence. But Emily talked about how she didn’t piece everything together during a long period of time. She could have gone to the police for the snapchat without still having a clue of who it was, which yeah, it would have made it a lot fucking harder to investigate for anyone. Side note: The messages that were send for the viral campaign were through twitter, not snapchat, and the ones send to Emily were clearly targeted for her especially, with her content and her city being brought up. How come no other influencer ever came out to say they recieved such messages? Why is Emily the only one who got one so threatening? Literally anyone aware of the viral campaing could have “lightly trolled” Emily like this, knowing that it could be blamed on those other guys. Until there is further confirmation from them that they did or didn’t send any of that to Emily or that other youtubers did recieved personalized messages like that, this is still weird as fuck and, once again, Crapshow failed to prove what she claims. Part 8 Antony’s tweet Crapshow says that Antony “lightly trolled” Emily because they were friends at the time. The fact that you have to minimize with “light trolling” is already so funny, but also what kind of fucking friend makes it their past time to troll their friends. Crapshow says that Antony couldn’t have been doing anything more serious than that because the messages didn’t had his pictures. No, I don’t get it either. She also had nothing to do with that because she said so. Compelling arguments here. /s Side note: I have followed Emily for her art channel for years and I know there was a point in time in which she was considered “problematic” for buying subs. I know I saw some tweets about it, but never paid any attention to them because I followed Emily for her art, not for her number of subs. Is that the “light trolling” she is talking about? Because if so, that is still shit. Part 9 The rewired soul Basically a youtuber got called a lot for being a dick. Other people got affected for being friends with this youtuber. Extremely typical for social media at this point. But Crapshow is saying that Emily couldn’t have been harassed at the time this happened because EVERYONE was getting harassed. No, seriously, that is the only reason this section exist. To say that. Listen, the whole character assasination for Emily was already irrelevant but this is like ultra plus irrelevant. I don’t know if it’s padding for time or she sincerely believes anyone is going to think this makes sense. She also is lying about Emily sending her fans to attack anyone who criticize her video. I have followed Emily’s account since it all happened and I can say that Crapshow is straight up lying, furher confirmed by the fact that she had screenshots of everything but doesn’t have of that, even though it would have been much more recent. If anything Emily has repeteadly asked people to not attack anyone over her story because that is not what she wants, not even the people who were actual fucking assholes to her and mocked her. Emily has been a mature adult about this. Crapshow can’t relate. Pat 10

“My problem with a big art youtuber” At the time some people thought that video was about Creepshow and send her harassment about it. This supposedly contradict how Emily talked about recieving comments comparing her to Crapshow because this OTHER big youtuber also send harassment Emily’s way claiming she copied her. Again, this is not necesarily true. Emily talked about how practically since she started her channel and consistently for a good while she would recieve those comparisons, and then the whole other bullshit happened with that other youtuber that they would encourage openly. More than one person can harass someone at a time. Why she keeps repeating this bullshit as if it’s meant to turn good if she repeats it enough. Emily blurred out some things on a private message to her that Crapshow says wasn’t private info actually, and this is meant to show that Emily actually never got her IP and she is lying about ever getting it. Yeah, it’s weird to do that and I would like to hear Emily’s side but one things doesn’t mean the other. Potentially lying about one thing doesn’t  mean necesarily lying about everything. Example A: you lying about Emily sending people to attack critics. According to your own logic, I shouldn’t believe a single word you say after that. Part 11

Amy Amy is really real for real because: 1. The story that Crapshow told about Amy doesn’t exactly coincide with Emily beyond the “being an alternative girl who had guys climbing out her windows to her to her”. Because Crapshow would NEVER lie about Any, right? That is what we are going for, right? It wasn’t a lie. She is real. Crapshow said so. 2. Screenshots of emails. The first is title “hi sister” and there is a censored pic. A response from someone with the email greenangel454@gmail.com declaring to be 13. Back and forth between the two about how Crapshow is pretty. Another email from Crapshow talking about some hot guys and other teenage stuff. More stuff. The last one is signed LOVE YOU ~Amy~… I thought Amy was an alias that you picked to not reveal her true name, Crapshow? Oh, but now it was an alias that she DID used? Me thinks you slipped there. Also, if this is ALL the evidence you have of Amy’s existence, this is actually fucking sad. Not a single social media account. Not a real picture. No one who can corroboate her existence beyond you, funny how that works. Who the fuck knows if this person you emailing is really Amy or literally any other friend you had? This looks like some bullshit you hastily put together without much effort. It’s embarassing. I can’t even fucking read some of these “proof” because it’s so fucking big. No fucking proof anywhere that Amy had anything to do with the lolcow post, the hacking of her channel or anything at all. Just a bunch of emails Crapshows says are from Amy. You later are going to spill all the fucking beans about your sibling, who you hate so much, but you are not going to even bring the twitter account or ANYTHING from the woman you claim made you homeless and was the catalyst into destroying literally all your friendships on youtube? Don’t buying it, and you are really fucking insulting us if you pretend we are going to.

Part 12 Emily’s question

Crapshow said that Hopeless Peaches, on an account that coincidentally doesn’t exist anymore, also got messages about Emily and she and Crapshow would talk about how uncomfortable that made them. Even if that was a real thing that happened, that means shit about how you or Antony couldn’t possibly have anything to do with anything. Again, how the fuck you have screenshots of Emily talking what markers her dad gave her years ago or the tweets she made on a account of 10 followers but don’t have any screenshots of this? You might not be able to obtain from Hopeless Peaches because of her account gone, alright, but why nobody else came out saying “yeah, I recieved that exact same shit around that time”, like it happened with the snapchat messages? Why you don’t have any evidence of that? AND, even if someone does come out saying someone send them that, can you actually prove who the sender was and how it was totally not Antony? Beyond any doubt? Because if no, right now, you have no right to complain to people out right not believing you when you throw at us all this shit about Emily but CONVENIENTLY leave out the thing that would ACTUALLY give you a pass. Crapshow is like “why I wouldn’t ake already a video on Emily then, mmm? If I already had all this info on her even back then!” while showing us bad tweets from the 2011. It couldn’t be because Antony had too much fun torturing her in private like a good pathetic abuser. Or maybe because at this point Emily had already threatened legal actions. This is not difficult. Also, now that we all know that you lied multiple times about Hopeless Peaches, it’s really fucking funny that now you want to drag her here to defend your point, that really doesn’t disprove shit. She is insisting that her lawyer TOTALLY believes she has a case of defamation, even though, again, no fucking lawyer ever would let their client to publish a video like this and Emily said that there was a initial contact and nothing else. There is no case. She has nothing and she knows it. But more than that, pretend as if only really good cases of cyberbullying are taken serious is frankly disgusting thing to do with so many survivors who tried to take things to court only to waste money away.  

Part 13 2014 Emily apparently already had an issue with Creepshow and the “evidence” here is that Antony said that Emily thinks Crapshow hates her. Why we keep using the word of Antony as gospel. Let me help you out some: look up what triangulation means. Also, I still don’t even know where those messages keep happening. Why are they so dark. Crapshow, you have access to editing sofwares, brighten those shit up. Part 14 History of false claims This is the part where Crapshow pulls out literally ALL online history of Emily. Let me list the absolutely abhorrent crimes that Emily commited on her 15+ years on the internet. 1. Saying some people harassed her or abused her on the internet. 2. Having a crush on a teacher and doing embarassing posts about it, like making a character based on that teacher and then drawings based on that teacher. Talking about that teacher. Not handling her crush on said teacher like a mature adult at 13. Shame /s

3. Having a little art drama on DA because someone accused her of stealing art. 4. Having clear signs of mental illness or mental issues. The audacity. /s 5. There is an account that Crapshow is not even sure if it’s Emily so why is here, I don’t know. 6. Not handling her romantic relationships like a grown mature adult at 15-16. Again, shame. /s. 7. I had no idea a tweet went viral like that claiming he wanted to change his pronouns. That's wild and I disagree. Lol. I think humans are complex and there's always a possibility of a psychological and or pathological stimulus underscoring their behaviors, choices and actions in most cases.

But that aside, I think it's easier to take a heteronormative view on things sometimes because cis straight has always been the norm even in appreciating art- but truth is, coding and co opting codified expressions is almost always part of queer culture and behavior too. If any other queer celebrity had used that expression, I would be reading much into it too beyond its semantics.

For me it's simple, would I be reading too too much into the language and art choice of someone I thought was cis straight? Hell No. Straight is boring and blunt as fuck.

Unless of course they were being intentionally witty or secretive about something, I'd assume and expect their expressions to be pretty much straight forward- generally. I went home to be would mean just that.

If I sensed the author were queer coding Home would mean something else entirely to be. Home becomes a symbol not a word. And if he chose to write that in Latin and not the language they spoke naturally, I'd assume there's something about that language that he likes and perhaps uses to code a queer message.

For closeted queer people who live in a world where they are constantly coerced to take on a duality and have an expressional alter egos- two identical identities with one being the facade and pretense through which they openly and largely perform normalcy of self, the other being their real self which they tuck away because it is inconsistent with the acceptable norms- I'd a take a very different approach to their art. But that's me.

If a straight person said they needed escape, it would mean something totally different to me than say if a queer person said they needed escape. Because those two are escaping two very different things.

For example, the words Moon and moonlight used by a straight person means nothing to me- perhaps because I just don't care much to look for its deeper meaning beyond the literal meaning of the words as presented. If it appears in a queer person's parlance, even if in passing, I assume immediately they are referencing something much more deeper, meaningful and coded.

Queer coding is a thing you know? And it's born out of necessity not choice sometimes.

Take for instance BTS's proclivity to 'queer codify' their music. Moon and moonlight has become symbolic of the inner struggles of a queer person amongst black 'educated' queer men and women. It's come to symbolize cultural norms and expectations and how those affect queer people- perhaps of all race.

In the Movie Moonlight, which has become the epitome of queer black struggles and desires for liberation, this motif was used to represent the struggles of a black boy dealing with the pressures of a hyper masculine society.

When RM references this in 4 Oclock, 'the whole world is blue under the moonlight' is he queer coding or just appropraiting queer parlance as buzz word? That expression takes on a whole new meaning were he queer. Blue symbolizes queerness- a theory popularized of course by the Film. When V who once wrote an allegedly 'queer coded song' Stigma says he is blue- what does he mean now? On the surface blue means blue. Would you take a straightforward view on this or assume its symbolic? And what is it symbolic of?? Sadness?? Gayness?

If RM had an accompanying tattoo as compliment to the song in his performance that evoked similar sentiments or hinted at a possible second meaning I wouldn't assume that that tattoo meant nothing or that it didn't have a deeper meaning behind it.

It's just as how Lil Nas X posted a city of rainbows and people said 'rainbows are rainbows. Y'all shouldn't read much into it.' But for queer people that was pretty much a declaration of his sexuality.

Later he had to post again and reiterate that that rainbow post was his coming out moment. 'I thought I made it obvious.'

I look at a lot of stuff on Pinterest and one of people's reasons on why Oumasai is toxic is because Kokichi made Shuichi want to kill himself? Something tells me this is wrong but I'm not sure what proves it wrong. (I mean they also point out that Kokichi mocks Shuichi for mourning Kaede-) I'm asking about this because its been eating at me and trying to prove that it isn't toxic.

Hooo boy this is gonna be long so buckle up! I’m sorry I couldn’t make this shorter I just really go all ace attorney mode when it comes to this type of stuff.

I think what they’re referring to is how Shuichi got really depressed after discovering that the world had ended, but how can it be Kokichi’s fault? He literally wasn’t the mastermind, he didn’t make all that stuff up. Heck, he was the first one to even see that motive and on his own it was way worse to deal with. His behaviour was so out of line that Kaito got fed up with him and punched him for the nonsense he was saying.

The motive was supposed to make everyone fall to despair, it’s purpose was legit what happened to Miu where she NEEDED to go out to help out the world before everyone was gone. The motive was MEANT to be seen to make the game “More interesting” but Kokichi didn’t let the others see it until he finally convinced them that he’s the mastermind. If he didn’t the Mastermind would find a way to show it to them in a different way and there’s no knowing what could happen, and if he showed it to them himself they’re bound to believe what he’s saying considering the fact it’s obvious he already knew about this. He took that motive to basically make everyone give up on trying escape by killing each other, since as the mastermind he said “The game’s over now! There’s no point.” to prevent another murder from happening. AND IT WORKED, for a long while no murder took place but of course the actual mastermind couldn’t just sit idly and let the game be “boring” (Which was Kokichi’s goal) So they made a flashback light that Maki ended up seeing and calling the others to see, and the flashback light made everyone including Maki believe that Kokichi was a remnant of despair. They wanted to get rid of Kokichi for messing with the game and taking over their position, and this was their way to do it.

So, after all that, if others see that KOKICHI was the reason Shuichi wanted to give up for a second there. Then I really don’t know what to say. Shuichi has went through so much already because of the killing game and Kokichi’s attempt to stop the killing game is not the reason he wanted to give up. It was because he lost a lot his friends and because the world was most probably all gone. At that point he had nowhere to go back to and everything he has worked so hard for was for nothing because there’s nothing left. Kokichi didn’t do anything to Shuichi for him to be the sole reason he suddenly wanted to die. His depression got the best of him after being all alone with his thoughts for a couple of days, not eating or moving just sleeping the entire time. If anyone is at fault it’s the mastermind for making up such a cruel lie that even made Gonta commit murder to “save” the others.

And for the mocking him about Kaede’s death part (Which is literally one line after Shuichi removed his hat) Kokichi at that point had witnessed that the killing game was real and it was going to get him eventually. He wasn’t alright either and he had already started to make everyone hate him, acting more hostile and annoying so they all stay away (since anyone who groups up everyone or brings them hope will end up like Kaede did) He didn’t want to be the next Kaede or Rantaro. It started with that line but in the end he cut off all ties he had (if he had any) in chapter 4 so that they have no doubt that he is only full of malice and that he is indeed the mastermind.

“But how do you know that he has been devising that plan since back then?” Remember the “horse a” message? the first letters were added to it right before the next morning after the first trial where Shuichi entered the dining room without his hat. If you don’t believe me, here’s a paragraph from well written wiki!

Sometime between the end of the first trial and the morning of the next day, Kokichi would begin to devise of a plan to get everyone to think that he was the mastermind of this killing game, willing to be seen as evil for the sake of ending this madness. To begin this plan, he would leave a subtle message in the courtyard "Horse A", which he would later fill in with more letters as the killing game continued.

If it wasn’t already obvious, Kokichi is a LIAR. And his biggest lie of being the mastermind started after he saw the deaths of Rantaro and Kaede. That first chapter affected Kokichi a lot, he lied and lied to hide it but he was shaken up by the sudden death of Rantaro and was devastated by Kaede’s death. Though all he could say at her last moments is that she wasn’t boring. Because he knew, if he was truthful? Eyes would be on him immediately and he would be in danger.

Kokichi did his best to be the person he would hate the most, he lies so much yet says he hates liars, then says that’s a lie. Making everyone confused as to what the hell is right or wrong in what he’s saying. But he couldn’t keep up his facade forever especially when he was starting to get interested and even attached to Shuichi. In one completely optional scene in chapter 3 he legit says that he doesn’t want Rantaro to be the one who gets resurrected (Though he probably was more interested in him because he obviously knew more than he let on in chapter 1. Asking everyone about the Ultimate Hunt when no one else remembered it until they say the flashback lights, his fight with Hoshi, and how he was so sure that he WILL end the killing game. Kokichi even had his effigy in his room because he saw it as a clue or evidence that can help later, he needed to know what he was hiding and what his talent was.) and despite all that when Shuichi asks why he doesn’t want Rantaro to be the one, he says “Because you’d rather have Kaede back.” Of course he writes it off as a lie, but then right after that he SHOWS Shuichi his interest in Rantaro saying he might be working for the mastermind. The exact lines are:

Kokichi: “What if Rantaro was working for the mastermind? Bringing him to life might be a bad idea.” 

(Trying to make Shuichi believe that he really did lie there about his reason why he didn’t want Rantaro to come back by making him believe that THIS was the real reason. I don’t know exactly if he entertained the idea or not, but he most probably did not believe Rantaro to be the mastermind here. He might have even made up that killing game anime he was talking about. Its’ real for us but might not be for them.)

Shuichi: “N-no that’s idiotic! Rantaro couldn’t have been working for the mastermind...:

“But is it really impossible? We only knew Rantaro for a short time. He did seem as though he was kind of used to the killing game”

The “used to” in that sentence was highlighted. THIS was Kokichi’s intention, to make Shuichi realise that Rantaro knew more than he let on. Which reinforces Kokichi’s interest in him. But Shuichi fell for Kokichi’s trap earlier and didn’t notice at all that he slipped the fact Rantaro would give more information.

It’s confusing I know, Kokichi’s thing is mind games after all. But what I’m trying to say is that for Kokichi’s goal to figure out this killing game and how to end it Rantaro would be most ideal to bring back but he just wanted to tell Shuichi that he’d rather have Kaede instead just so he’s happy. The evidence for that is how even after he says its a lie he lowkey shows Shuichi he’s more interested in Rantaro instead. It reminds me of those scenes where he says “WAAAHH I THOUGHT YOUD KNOW I HATE COFFEE” then right after he’s like “I’m tired of all that crying can I have a cup of coffee please.” Or “I actually can’t taste anything!” then “anyway my faves are spice and sugar!”

Kokichi did say something insensitive when he said “Is it cause Kaede died or whatever?” but it didn’t bother Shuichi at all he just brushed it off since he saw how he acted in the trial earlier. It wasn’t a surprise to him. Kaede’s death affected Kokichi too, and that line doesn’t match up with what he said about bringing Kaede back.

You never know what’s the truth and what’s a lie with Kokichi, everything he says contradicts each other. So how is it that all these people who hate Kokichi and call him toxic take his worst lines or moments as the truth when the context of his entire character and motive says otherwise. When he had to crush Shuichi the most so he believes that he is full of malice without a single doubt. To make him believe he was really the mastermind immediately, so he doesn’t go all detective on him like he usually does.

Kokichi’s actions were terrible yes but they were LIES he did it for a purpose that’s what makes him a grey character when in a KILLING GAME. It’s shown in salmon team that under normal circumstances the two would get along and Shuichi would want to learn more about Kokichi and his true self.

TLDR; Leave these children be, they were in a killing game. No ship is toxic unless it’s shown that person was terrible / messed up from the start and would hurt whoever they’re with. Those users just obviously don’t like Kokichi and hate seeing him with anyone XD and it’s obvious with how they blame him over a motive Monokuma/ the Mastermind has created and straight up ignoring the intentions behind his actions.

Now without evidence and stuff, truly speaking from my heart from here with full on bias XD

I get hating a character or a ship but oh my god can you not spread misinformation for others to feel obligated to agree? Toxic is such a strong word and I hate how people keep associating it with every ship they dislike. Making others feel bad for what comforts them! If Saiouma was so toxic how come it makes so many people happy? How come it makes people literally calm down,  stop crying, and feel warm. Saiouma is one of the most adorable and realistic ships out there... Don’t ruin it for everyone else just because you don’t agree with how we feel. Just say you’re not a fan and move on!

I decided to create a page on her for the poll (now ended) because I think some people will really like small excerpts on her story with Lance, but obviously you need to know about her before deciding that for sure. You’ll notice that some theories I may have posted on Lance in the past are a part of this AU - these theories have been in my mind and I posted them only because I thought they could exist in the actual plotline (it’s where a lot of my theories come from, and then some ideas fit into the AU, and then some ideas could exist in the actual plotline as well based on what I observe), so this is where some of those theories come from.

For the poll - if anything, I would recommend reading the paragraph titled “*Her story in Origins (where many things are explained in moderation, because if I went in-depth I wouldn’t need to write stories on this):” above all else because that describes what I will be writing if the poll results shows that that’s wanted. Everything else is just extra information for you to know my OC and the AU better. The paragraph is at the bottom of the post.

Above all else, this is an AU, and a fantasy world. I like to try to give rationality and logic to a lot of things, so you’ll read a lot of me explaining things, but at the end of the day it’s all fantasy and can be perceived - and therefore approved or unapproved of - in a multitude of ways. If you like my AU but find it illogical in some ways, that’s no problem! Just enjoy reading about it if you enjoy the ideas within it. 😊

A lot of this information can be a bit vague at first but it comes together when I explain the basic plot.

Her basics: She goes by Fenris but her actual name is Dakota. However, people usually call her Kota, or occasionally Ko (Fen is used later for Fenris, first by Ashkore / Lance, but later when she was discovered by the guard as well). She was 18 when she came to Eldarya via mushroom circle (like Guardienne/Erika). The guard test placed her in the Obsidian guard - she’s very happy with that outcome. Was in a relationship with Valkyon before leaving him for Lance (*explained later).

Physical Appearance: Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of her and nothing in Eldarya describes her and her clothing very well, so you’ll just need to imagine the physical features that I describe on Eldarya’s Guardienne sprite. Also, she’s pretty flexible with how she styles her hair and dresses, so I don’t think a single picture of her would describe her well.

Fair and light in skin tone, perhaps a slight tan-ish tone. Thin, but broad shouldered. She’s well-muscled (later on, less so when she first arrived), which gives her a bit of thickness, but not too much. Nicely curved. About 5 ft. 5 in. (167.64 cm). Dark hair, but not exactly black, with brown-hazel eyes. Her hair is medium-length and is usually braided in a multitude of styles. Her eyes occasionally glow a brilliant gold (explained under ‘abilities and genetics’ and ‘her story in Origins’).

Usually wears dark, ancient / tribal-like clothes (think Norse Vikings) with thin, form-fitting but strong armor around her forearms, lower legs (below the thigh starting from knees) and chest/midriff. She wears a good amount of red, blue, gold, silver or dark green clothing and accents with the black base for color. Usually nothing over-the-top, she likes to have her own unique style and express herself but doesn't like to draw unnecessary attention. Doesn't like most faux fur as it doesn't look nice in her opinion, but may wear some that she likes occasionally. Is more likely to wear real fur from hunted animals, but doesn't wear it too often. She wears a sword on her hip, and has a few semi-concealed daggers placed on her body (thigh, boot, torso) for quick use if needed.

Personality: She has a wide spectrum of how she acts depending on people, situations, what she knows, and her current mood. She's typically quite calm, and doesn't seek for trouble or drama, however, she does like to hear the recent news/gossip from around the guard; to stay updated on things, know what may effect her, try to think ahead and just for the sake of knowing. She's very curious and typically observes the situation around her, but in a very subtle way. Is a planner and likes to think ahead, and usually knows how to react to anything because of her observations and forward thinking. Around friends, she's very kind and welcoming. They can talk about anything to her and she'll keep her mouth shut - she has a good loyalty streak (but it does have a limit). However, she doesn't have any friends that are like family to her, but on the day she does find friends like that her loyalty will truly be endless. It's ride or die, and she'll always stand by their side. She has a major independent streak and can’t be around people for too long, otherwise she’ll crack and get a bit irritated more easily. She likes her alone time. In general, she's very cordial with people. Again, she doesn't like to cause unnecessary trouble or drama - she's had a rough past (discussed under ‘history’) and quickly shuts down anyone doing so in a professional but aggressive, don’t-argue-with-me sort of way. She can be harsh, cold and withholding - especially with people she genuinely dislikes - but doesn't like to act this way. On the note of people she dislikes- it's hard to get her to truly dislike someone, but it can be a bit easy as well. In general rule, as long as someone is conscious of the reality of the world around them and doesn't seek to cause issues, she's fine with them, but the instant someone starts continually spreading rumors that are clearly false, or acts (especially in a way that hurts others) solely in their selfish interests, or takes part in willful ignorance (purposely ignoring an issue that you know shouldn’t be ignored), she keeps note of that person and reminds herself to be wary of them in the future. They could be a source of trouble or misinformation that may need to be stopped, and she won’t be very forgiving. However, this is just a general rule, it doesn't always apply - remember she can change based on the situation and what she knows. She recognizes that sometimes people dislike things that are good for them, or like harmful things, and sometimes the villain is actually the hero, history and set rules are created by the winners and anyone against it is considered the villain, and sometimes you need to be cruel to be merciful. She's fully aware that sometimes the bad of life is good, and may defend that, but she's always sure to think long and hard about it before giving a decision like that. A lot of terrible things have happened to her, so she tries to avoid being a source of those terrible things for the world. She feels emotions very deeply and can be a bit impulsive, but fortunately she’s not typically hurt or gets others hurt due to her impulsivity. Again, she is very curious and observes things a lot, so she can usually get a good read on anything new she comes across and work from there, or she can use other information she knows and apply it to the situation. That being said, she won’t drag her friends or anyone else into her occasionally dangerous impulsive decisions. She’ll offer it if they’d like to join her, but she won’t pressure them. Their safety is their decision, and she’ll do her best to protect them although she can’t truly guarantee it. Being in the Obsidian guard, she can’t really condone anyone to risk their safety for fun, especially if it’s her idea. She has a good sense of responsibility when she works for what she believes in, and will sacrifice some of her comfort and fun making sure that she follows her responsibilities if needed. On the topic of her guard - when she first came to Eldarya and joined the Obsidian guard, she wasn’t too bad of a fighter upon basic training, but it was when she started training with Ashkore / Lance where her skills greatly improved until she was perhaps the best fighter in the guard, rivaled only by a few other warriors - including Valkyon. She’s not against helping others improve, but she’s very careful with what she tells the guard - if anyone knew her skills were due to Ashkore, she’d be in massive trouble and may be treated as a complete accomplice. She doesn’t like to lie unless truly necessary, so she’ll usually withhold lots of damning information, and she thoroughly thinks over everything she says, any possible answers to theoretical questions, how her words can connect with other things, and how it might be taken from someone else’s perspective, before revealing any information. Did I mention she’s very cunning and smart, especially after knowing Lance? She has prior knowledge in how to utilize sarcasm and wit, but that’s also improved after meeting Lance. 

She changes in time to be quite a bit more harsh and unforgiving when she starts working with Lance.

(For media reference, think of Lagertha from Vikings and Octavia from Netflix’s The 100. She’s a bit of a combination between the two, both in personality and appearance, although Octavia represents her a bit better in appearance.)

Abilities and Genetics: When she first came to Eldarya, she had no idea of her faery genetics. She never felt as though she belonged with humans and always felt that something was off, but she truly thought she was human genetically - until the guard had her take a test and realized she apparently had some faery blood in her (like what actually happened in the original plotline). She went a good while not knowing about what her genetics were, until Lance told her she was a dragon. She learned her abilities under his mentorship, and found that - to be more specific - she’s a shadow dragon. Her shadows appear usually like a pitch black fog, but can be manipulated into almost any form; hard or soft, thin or thick, curved or straight. It has a bit of a cold feel, but she can’t actually control the temperature of her shadows. She can adjust the color of her shadows along a grey-scale until it looks like any grey or silver, even looking like normal fog, but she can’t make it lighter than silver. She can also make pre-existing shadows darker or lighter depending on what she wants. Being a dragon, she also has a dragon form and can shift into a half-transformed body (like what’s seen with Tia). She has premonitions and prophecies as well. This ability typically manifests in dreams and can come to her the night before it manifests in reality, or even sometimes years in advance - there’s really no way to know. She struggles a lot trying to learn this - and to learn the difference between a premonition dream and just a normal dream - and has some basic understanding of it’s rules. She has absolutely no control over when she has these dreams, but she can occasionally put herself in a bit of a calm, meditative state where she can observe her surroundings enough to faintly feel energies, and from there she can receive some premonitions. When she receives premonitions or prophecies while awake, her eyes glow a brilliant gold - this stems from a more spiritual side of her genetics (*explained later). This ability to very hard to control, though, and can rarely be done despite her persistence in it. 

History: She... didn’t have a very peaceful life. Since her birth, her parents had basically been at war with each other. She grew up under a distinct combination of good influences and bad influences from both parents, but for the most part her mother was her major support as her father failed to be there for her. Neither extended family had much impact, but her father’s family knew of the terrible things he did and didn’t do anything. She continues to hold a grudge against many humans for being forced to live an endangered upbringing when she and her mother were so clearly crying for help. However, she’s aware that this is also what drives her some days, as she didn’t live through all of that just to die shamefully with an unlived life. In time, her grudge against humans has calmed, but it flares back up whenever she’s reminded or learned about something terrible that humans have caused or do currently - it’s a continuous battle and she has a hard time giving an honest opinion on humanity due to her complex emotions. She came to Eldarya when she was 18 (like Guardienne/Erika) and the rest is history (*and is explained below).

Relationships: Miiko is... alright. It’s a bit of a love hate relationship sometimes, but Fenris is usually quite cordial with her. Nevra and Ezarel were irritating at first, but Nevra’s lovableness and Ezarel’s humor slowly grew on her. She liked Valkyon when she first arrived and somewhat quickly pursued a relationship with him. She didn’t mind Leiftan - he was always very kind and left her alone while being cordial (remember, she’s not an angel in this so Leiftan wouldn’t be into her like how he was with Guardienne/Erika). Karuto is like the good father she never had, but she puts her foot down with him on occasion - she doesn’t like to be told what to do, scolded, treated like a child or anything. This is only because she views him in a bit of a fatherly way, and doesn’t want a repeat of her original father. She makes sure he knows that she truly appreciates him, though. Jamon is a bit of a brother if anything, but he’s really just a close friend / colleague that she likes a lot. She appreciates his gentleness and protectiveness for everyone. Ewelein is basically a second mom, she reminds Fenris a lot of her mom back on Earth and has a deep respect for the Elf. Chrome is a bit like an irritating little brother, but she also has a sisterly affection for him. Ykhar and Kero are the panic colleagues; she has a hard time seeing them doing anything else than panicking. She worries a bit for their health as long-term stress is destructive and tries to be as comforting and as nice as possible with them without betraying her personality and morals. Karenn and Alajea are close friends, almost sisterly, but not exactly so. She’s a bit closer with Karenn than she is with Alajea. Cameria is similar to Karenn in the way that she has a bit of a sisterly relationship with Fenris, but in more of a battle partner way. They have a tendency to train together a lot, and they heavily trust each other to have their back in war. Huang Hua is a bit of a friend / leader - she respects the phoenix a lot and has a bit of a close friendly relationship with her. Feng Zifu is a bit of a father figure in the manner that she respects him a lot. She likes to listen to his advice and appreciates his formality.

The AU: So before I explain the plot of the AU, I need to explain a few basics of how I set up the world. In this AU, the crystal breaking could destroy Eldarya, but if it’s shattered in a certain way with certain spells and chants, it’ll release the spirits of the dragons (who sacrificed to create the crystal) and allow them to retain a sort of half-living form - basically they’re alive but... not? It’s weird to  explain. Why does the crystal breaking in this way not destroy Eldarya? The sacrifice allowed a release of energy that originally created the world and then primarily manifested into the shape of the crystal that maintains that world, so this ritual that would be preformed upon it’s shattering would basically allow the energy of the dragons to maintain the world while allowing them to roam around in a different form - hence why they’d be half alive in a way. They’d be physical, but they have additions and limits on what they can and can’t do because they’re still technically dead. However, this isn’t common knowledge (because the guard protects the crystal, they’re the ‘only’ source of ‘accurate’ information on the crystal and both Yonuki Kaze and Miiko have stated that if the crystal breaks Eldarya will fall), only Lance has figured this out (and many of his mercenaries believe him or are working with him because of his destructive habits), so due to this, his ambitions are sort of split in two; destroy the crystal to revive the dragons, and destroy anyone who may try to stop him. In terms of history, Lance in this AU witnessed Miiko (and Nevra - there’s a history behind that that I won’t go into right now) sacrificing dragons to the crystal when he was a part of the guard to try and maintain balance and confronted her about it, only for her to threaten him (in basic; she was convinced sacrificing was the only way to keep balance, and that’s because Yonuki Kaze influenced her into thinking that, so from her perspective Lance coming along and saying it was wrong and had to stop was basically him saying to let the world die) to not tell anyone and stay out of it. Lance then spent a while researching and devising an idea on how to actually balance the world and this included destroying the crystal in a specific way to release the energy (technically there are two ways; the sacrifice was supposed to happen with dragons AND angels, so the ritual was devised to work with the two, but a ritual originally for two races used only with one is basically a ritual preformed improperly, and therefore bound to yield improper results - hence the infertility of the world and shiftiness of it. Undoing the ritual would allow the world to stay while “canceling out the sacrificial imbalance”, but if an angel or demon were to willingly sacrifice - preferably alongside a dragon at the same time - then it would be solved in that way as well). Lance tried to explain this to Miiko later, only to barely get past “I have another idea” before being shut down again. He kept quiet because he feared for himself and his brother (and the only reason Lance could have known that dragons were being sacrificed - without being a dragon himself - is that Miiko said it during the sacrifice he saw, so he didn’t want to raise suspicion onto him and his brother). Later on, Lance is sent to lead an army in a foreign land and is nearly killed, but he saw a chance to escape the guard and took it. From there he’s been Ashkore.

Basically this AU - instead of being “oh no, he’s trying to destroy the world because he’s angry and hurt” - is actually more like “if you had listened the world could be stabilized and also a powerful race could be revived.” It takes the trope of hero and villain and twists it, so the villain is actually a bit of an underdog, villainous hero while the hero’s are - in a way - villains who are heroes because their damning stories haven’t been revealed in a wide-spread manner. Overall, it’s supposed to blur the lines of good and bad, and right and wrong - showing that both sides have good and bad within them, and which side is ‘good’ can depend solely on perception and one’s life anecdote.

*Her story in Origins (where many things are explained in moderation, because if I went in-depth I wouldn’t need to write stories on this): Dakota came to Eldarya by accident via mushroom circle and was placed into the Obsidian guard. She adjusted in time (and willingly took the potion in episode 13 to ease her family / mother of pain and worry) until she got used to things and entered into a romantic relationship with Valkyon. She was sent on basic missions and such and met Ashkore a few times in war (and around the guard), and then she met him accidentally while alone later on outside of the guard. He offered to train her (more like threatened if she didn’t?) and she accepted in time. They trained at night, which was a bit of an issue as she now shared a room with Valkyon and, therefore, had to sneak around. Her skills quickly improved, and her relationship with Valkyon began to decline as he began to become a bit confused / suspicious about her sudden and seemingly random upturn in skills. There were feelings of neglect as well. This carried on for many months and Dakota learned more about Ashkore as well as herself. He eventually admits that she’s a dragon and that he’s investing some of himself into her because of that, and she does her best to explore her abilities with him after that. Eventually she accidentally discovers his actual identity, but keeps quiet about it. As they grow closer, she begins to ask more about him and his reasoning, and he explains his motives for going after the crystal while brushing on the topic of why he’s ruthless to some, but leaves others alone. As she discovers the truth about the dragons and Lance, she realizes that her feelings to the guard were based on lies and false implications, and she begins to grow mentally and emotionally closer with Lance. She becomes less empathetic / sympathetic with Valkyon and eventually sleeps with Lance. This happens a few more times and they enter a sort of limbo where they don’t talk about their relationship with each other but know there’s something heavy going on. Back in the guard, she’s still with Valkyon, and she begins an internal war on what exactly her plan is knowing that she’s sleeping with two guys on the opposite side of a war and that it can’t continue. Her and Valkyon break up in time and she invests her full time into training with Lance, expressing interest in joining his cause. They begin to work together and he gifts her with a specific outfit / armor (that can alternate between identity concealing and revealing for her comfort and safety) so she can go on missions with him. They develop an elaborate scheme to allow her to go on long-term missions with him without suspicion from the guard. She’s eventually sent on a mission and it’s on that mission that she discovers her relation to an ancient dragon named Fenris, and then expresses her interest in taking that name to Lance and the rest of his allies that she’s met (from then on she’s known as Fenris with Lance and Dakota in the guard). Back at the guard, she continues training with Lance and maintaining some sort of odd relationship with himin secret. She’s found elaborate ways to get out of the guard without their suspicion so she can spend many days at a time alone with Lance in a cabin he has hidden in the forest. Over the span of many months / years, she goes on missions with the guard to foreign towns / establishments that are attacked by Ashkore - whether she knows that prior or not - so as she trains she also has actual encounters where she needs to truly fight Lance without actually hurting him while looking as though she’s truly trying to hurt him. When she’s allegedly away on some missions from the guard, she wears the armor that Lance gave her to campaign with him and this occasionally leads to her fighting against the guard if they’re around. In this time and when they’re alone, Lance and allies calls her Fenris as she’s requested them to do. Eventually they go to Memoria together and find out that they have a deeper connection than they think - Fenris (who was an ancient dragon that Dakota took the name of due to her relation with him) and Tia actually knew each other and had a complex history that carried forward to Lance and Dakota / Fenris, and there’s a prophecy of sorts surrounding them. Their relationship after that is still complex, but is more stable as they confirm an attachment to each other. Lance’s identity is eventually revealed to the guard, and sometimes later Fenris is revealed as well, and Lance - in very short, important seconds - offers her to join him completely outside the guard’s walls. She accepts and they flee the guard for a while and plot. Eventually they attack the guard in a final push and get to the crystal, successfully breaking it with... some losses. From there is the skip to ANE, but New Era is... complicated. I haven’t yet thought how she fits into ANE, as many things would be different. Maybe I won’t put pressure on creating her story in it, but if I do I might list it here. Her story in ANE would need to be based off of her story I have here in Origins.

If I write excerpts of this, there may also be many more adventure scenarios that are written but aren’t mentioned here (Lance offering to “help” the guard bring down another greater threat and then turning his forces on them in the midst of war for his own gain, sending them on a wild goose chase, the guard tracking them through rough, unforgiving landscapes trying to catch them, etc.) depending on how the details of her story manifest.

I apologize; that’s a lot to read but I can be very specific and this AU has a lot of important detail that separates it from the original Origins storyline. And this talks over my OC’s details and an AU, which is a lot since there’s not a lot of referencing because I’ve never talked about either before... I know stuff like this that people feel strongly about can get very tense so I just wanted to make doubly certain you know I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything. it kind of sucks that I feel like I need to clarify that but that's fandom culture for you sometimes :P

also, I would love to talk to you about Dream characterization. I think I disagree with you on a lot of different points and I love his character, so I'm very interested in understanding your perspective!

- don’t attack people who sympathize with him because he’s a victim of abuse besides other things

The post never says:

- you cannot hate c!Dream and not sympathizing with him is wrong

- the things c!Dream has done are to any degree excused

- don’t dehumanize c!Dream because he’s a good person

- people who dehumanize c!Dream are real life abuse apologists

i never said anyone could infringe on his human rights! i… literally never said that! i said ��they ignore” when characters do it, but that was a run-on sentence, i get how that might’ve been easily misunderstood. but yes, he’s a fictional character, i’d never said people could actually hurt him or anything in that sense.

the thing is, i still find them saying they enjoy it… wrong? the people yelling in tommy’s chat for c!dream to hurt him more were freaking victim blaming pricks, and if what they did was the widespread fandom opinion it would be hurting actual people with trauma. i ask people to look at the c!dream situation with the same severity, because it’s actually happening and it’s highly disturbing, not just from principle, but because of what it leads to within the community.

sorry for comparing his situation to c!tommy, but narratively i believe the prison arc is a deliberate parallel to exile, and comparing his situation to someone they’ve not dehumanized seems to be the only way to knock sense into some people.

i am happy you don’t seem to be one of the people who dehumanize him. you’re not the target audience of this post - neither are abuse victims who project onto him. i know people who c!tommy reminds of their abuser (because of personality traits), or even c!quackity, that’s fine. they’re totally free to hate their respective character, of course, without being,, actually right about them. that being said, majority of this fandom is dehumanizing c!dream and being mad at people sympathizing with him “on behalf of the abuse victims”, not actual victims themselves, and by doing this they are unknowingly hurting other people rather than helping anything, and spreading misinformation as well as making a lot of fans in general uncomfortable. i believe this is something that needs to change in the community.

hating him is fine, but group-based dehumanization in my mind is not. if you go on twitter and search “c!dream” and see 100 people saying they wish the abuse victim you project onto is hurt more (this is not a twitter thing, c!dream tag is the same thing, a majority of the crit is untagged but it,, doesn’t really matter because even tagged hate riles up more people) that freaking sucks and is something that the community needs to work on, not shoved under the rug and pretend it wasn’t there because some people tag it.

“the abuse victims who are hurt by people saying they should be sympathetic towards Dream are in fact just as hurt as the abuse victims who relate to Dream and are hurt by people saying his evil.”

this is not wrong. it’s right actually, but i’m not talking about this fandom calling him evil/unable to be sympathized with/irredeemable. i mean, that’s hurtful dehumanization as well, but this community doesn’t “say he’s evil” it “says he deserves to keep being horribly abused and/or die”.

and… i wasn’t talking about/saying abuse victims should sympathize with him either? i’ve said like five times that people can hate him as much as they want, but dehumanization is another thing. it’s the majority of this community (this post wasn’t targeting abuse victims in the slightest) taking away his positive human qualities, hence believing he doesn’t deserve human rights, and turning him into some sort of punching bag or personification of evil, which i find deeply disturbing since he’s being related to by abuse victims, and also blatantly incorrect to the character.

so, you’d be right, if the situation was what you described. it… really isn’t. the dream smp fanbase isn’t populated by abuse victims in any corner. it’s two small groups, one of them hurt (undeservingly) by a few and the other one hurt (no more or less undeservingly) by a majority of the fandom without anyone batting an eye.

and this post isn’t even about abuse victims in the first place; it’s about dehumanization. while its impact plays a big role in why i wrote this, things like these being widespread in the fandom makes so many people uncomfortable or pressured not to sympathize with a recently made sympathetic character that they might (but could not) relate to. relating to him myself, i might not have a say in this, but my compassion in general made me switch over to the c!dream sympathetic people, not anyone in the community or projection.

the results i relayed here weren’t the only results of the survery. people mentioned pandora’s vault as their reasons for being dream apologists,, over and over and over again. a lot of them mentioned the fandom response specifically.

it’s making the fandom not only unsafe to a small group of traumatized people, but also fans in general, who are equally as important to feel comfortable. hell, the reason dream apologists are such a tight-knit community that accepts little to no outside feedback is because of the hatred that is endlessly nurtured outside, that makes people feel anxious or not safe just for sympathizing with a victim of abuse.

i myself find this a problem that people should attempt to change beyond using crit tags more. feel free to not agree with that, but a lot of affected people do.

i agree the disc finale was actually cathartic! well, that’s a lie, i used to hate c!dream’s guts before that but that was the very instance where i saw a person behind the mask and went “oh, this is a whole mess isn’t it”, but it was,, cathartic to a lot of other people that didn’t use to have intense empathy to inanimate objects as children djskdjsk (i was a weird kid and still am, don’t mind that)

do you know what is cathartic? when a dog terribly bites a child, gets kicked away and gets put in a cage. do you know what isn’t cathartic? …that dog getting repeatedly beaten, starved and abused while trapped in said cage. even in fiction, and i say that as someone who was terribly bitten by a dog.

i don’t mind fictional characters suffering - frick, angst is my jam, i’ll write a character dying over and over again and have fun, but people justify that or make fun of people who don’t by saying openly that they enjoy it,, because he’s done bad things.

here comes the double standard. the exile arc wasn’t cathartic just because tommy burnt down a house, because hell, that wasn’t fair retribution. same goes for dream.

there is a difference between enjoying dark media (something i do frequently and is something i like doing) and open dehumanization and often normalized harassment of people who don’t do the same or condemn that. that is something that in my mind shouldn’t be a mainstream thing in the community.

to be fair, people saying an abuse victim no longer being hurt is “bad writing” or “insensitive” as i’ve seen people say would probably piss me off, but i’m,, not going to harass them. maybe a passive-aggressive vague-post if enough big accounts do it, but i think that’s justified. feel free to disagree - i still respect abuse victims who wouldn’t like that, but people who just don’t want the writers to humanize a character they’ve dehumanized will probably grind my gears.

this community,, isn’t working like this. i wrote this because people are repeatedly being hurt by the community or feel bad in it because of widespread opinions and dehumanization of a character that is as of late written to be sympathetic to the audience. that’s not a disagreement, the people who are actually sympathetic are a minority in the fandom, which would be fine with me, if they weren’t constantly invalidated, triggered and harassed as a direct result of the dehumanization discussed in this post.

besides the fact that the principle of dehumanization applied to c!dream is wrong - and if people find themselves doing that, it’s good for them to find a way to realize that, such as this post, because projection =/= dehumanization, and this post is targeting one, not the other - this is why i wrote this post. i still believe my points are valid and important for this fandom to consider.

you know, we could talk about the characterization right now - but after this i’m going onto a two month long hiatus for the sole purpose of studying the character. i’m not joking, this is what i’m dedicating my summer to. since i’m also closing my asks because of this, i can write this down and @ you when i’m done? :D i’d love to talk about him but i’m going to have so much more evidence after this, so maybe we can put this off for a while if you don’t mind! of course feel free to continue the dehumanization debate in a string of reblogs since it’s pretty much a different debate entirely.
