in this chapter, we meet lorenzo, the slytherin quidditch team star, and mattheo, who just can’t take his eyes off the hufflepuff girl in the stands ;)

“Who are you trying to incite jealousy in this time, Diggory?” Evangeline sighed, his intent apparent to her now.

“I’m not, this time,” he snickered. “Surprising, I know.”

He leaned in closely, his lips grazing her ear as he whispered. To the casual observer, it might have seemed like he was kissing her on the cheek, evoking the feeling that they were more than just friends.

“I’m trying to help you,” he whispered. “Haven’t you caught on?” Cedric cupped her chin and turned her head towards the Slytherin stands.

Across the quidditch field stood a boy with tousled chocolate-brown hair and even darker, intense brown eyes, who was staring directly at her. There was something familiar about him, a whisper of a memory that danced just out of reach.

I swear I’ve seen him before… Evangeline tried to recall where she had remembered him from as she locked eyes with the boy, his gaze piercing through her and sending chills down her spine. Then, it clicked.
