On The mend
Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: E Warning: None pairing: none Description: Jamie is recovering from sickness. Continued from day 20 & 21.
@medwhumpmay day 13; "You've been very sick."
When Jamie is in the ICU, the three medics always feel as if they have three patients due to Crosshairs’ and Drift’s past trauma related to Jamie’s medical condition. The two would neglect themselves and often struggle with anxiety. While seeing Jamie’s sickness, they’re doing better than usual. Ratchet still demands that Prowl give the two mechs two weeks off. The Autobots and soldiers Crosshairs and Drift work with are understanding. They persist in not leaving Jamie alone but return to their room at night. While Jamie sleeps, Crosshairs and Drift would rather stay in the room. They do what they can to help her feet comfortably. They warm blankets in the dryer and put cooling clothes on her forehead. Jamie hasn’t eaten for the past four days, which they know is normal. They update their friends on Jamie’s well-being but prefer not to allow visits.
Ratchet checks on Jamie in the morning. She’s awake and watching him. He sits on the chair by the bed. “You’ve been very sick,” he says, “but you are improving. You’ll be discharged soon.”

26. Oxygen mask
Oxygen mask, but instead of oxygen to help whumpee breathe its full of poison that restricts their breathing and makes it feel like they’re suffocating while they’re strapped down unable to remove it from their face.

Day 25 - High fever
Kinda a prequel to Day 11 - Passing out and also Day 13 - "You've been very sick"
TW: minor whumpee (17), illness, fahrenheit, tobacco

Tumblr media
Erick was prone to infections. Between frequent injuries, less than ideal living circumstances, not quite adequate diet, and constant stress, it was nearly a miracle that he wasn't sick all the time. It didn't help either that he had the tendency to ignore any early symptoms, powering through so he wouldn't disappoint Fetch, or anger him. He didn't like to be called lazy or ungrateful, because he wasn't, so he avoided being seen as such.
Until his body forced him to stop.
Beep!
Fetch looked at the display on the thermometer, frowning a bit.
"A hundred and three," he said, "how long have you been feeling sore?"
"I think...since yesterday?" Erick said, pulling on his shirt a bit as the sweat was making it stick to his chest.
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"It wasn't this bad yesterday," Erick said with a shrug, "I just need a nap..."
"Not so fast," Fetch said, "I want you to drink some water first and take an Advil. Then I'll go out to get you some ice to cool you down."
"Hrm...I'm sorry," Erick said.
"It's okay, I had nothing better to do anyway," Fetch said, "just get into bed, I'll sleep on the couch tonight."
Erick stumbled towards the bedroom while Fetch headed into the kitchen to get a glass of water. He found some b-brand ibuprofen in the drawer and took out a pill before heading towards the bedroom, where Erick was adjusting the pillow in an attempt to get comfortable. He helped the teen take a couple of sips to wash down the pill, before telling him to call if he started feeling worse while he was out.
Luckily it was a short trip to the store, and Erick slept through Fetch's absence. He quietly entered the apartment, putting some of the ice he just bought in a bowl and stuffing the rest in the freezer. He added some water to the ice and let it sit for a bit before finding a clean washcloth in the pile of unfolded laundry that sat on top of the machine.
He carried the bowl into the bedroom, setting it on the nightstand and dunking the cloth into the water, making sure it was nice and cold before squeezing most of the water out before laying the washcloth over Erick's forehead and eyes.
"Oh my god..." he groaned quietly, "thank you."
"You know the drill," Fetch said, "try to flip it or wet it again whenever you wake up."
"Mhm..." Erick just said, seeming to drift off already again.
Fetch just shook his head a bit and headed out, finding something to do to keep him busy, though he still checked on the teen frequent enough, making sure he drank water, or refreshing the wash cloth with a new layer of ice water.
After a couple of hours he checked if his temperature had gone down yet, only to find it had climbed to 104. He sighed, getting up and heading into the bathroom to begin filling up the bathtub. Once he was satisfied with the temperature, he plugged the drain and headed back into the bedroom to wake Erick.
"Hey, come on, sit up. I know you're tired, but we need to get your temperature down, okay?"
"Ow..." Erick groaned while Fetch pulled him into a sitting position.
He tried to lay back down while rubbing his eyes, but Fetch stopped him, grabbing a hold of his jaw to make him look at him.
"Where does it hurt?" he asked.
Erick pulled his head from Fetch's grip, rubbing his eyes again, before pulling his hands through his hair.
"I dunno," he said, "everywhere? My head..."
"It's just fever aches," Fetch said, secretly relieved, "come on, a bath will do you good. Do you need help getting in?"
"No," Erick quickly said, "no, just give me a minute..."
Fetch just nodded, but waited to make sure whether the teen would need a hand at all or not. He managed to make it to the bathroom okay, and then closed the door in his face.
"Don't lock it," Fetch said, "shout if you need me."
"I'm fine," Erick insisted, turning the tap off before the bath would overflow.
He waited until Fetch's footsteps had moved away from the bathroom door, before getting undressed and climbing into the tub. The water wasn't as warm as he'd liked, but the cooling effect was kind of nice too. The fog in his head cleared a bit, and the aches settled a bit as well, allowing him to relax.
When the water got too cold, he got out, draining the tub and finding Fetch had left some clean clothes on the edge of the sink. He dried himself off with a towel before getting dressed, already feeling a lot better. When he left the bathroom Fetch made him sit down and drink some more water, as well as eat some toast, and take his temperature again.
"Did I pick up another flu on the last job?" Erick asked, holding still when Fetch jabbed the thermometer in his ear.
"Something or other," Fetch said, "if it's viral we just gotta wait it out. If you don't improve it can be bacterial instead."
"Hrm..."
Beep!
"Back to a hundred and three," Fetch said, "hopefully it doesn't shoot up again."
"Can I...go lie back down?" Erick asked.
"Finish your water first," Fetch said.
Erick nodded, slowly sipping his water until he'd emptied the glass before going back to bed, leaving behind a half-eaten piece of toast.
Unfortunately his fever spiked again during the night, this time accompanied by delirious babbling, keeping Fetch plenty busy as he had to stop the teen from getting up when he was in no state to move around.
Luckily his temperature dropped a bit again after Fetch finally got him to go back to sleep, but they weren't out of the woods yet. He continued to fluctuate the rest of the day between a high fever and a concerningly high fever. And after another restless night, Fetch was beginning to suspect it might not be a viral infection after all.
He contacted one of his associates to try and get his hands on some broad-spectrum antibiotics, hoping they would be enough. At the end of the morning, he finally heard back, getting a location and a price. With a sigh, Fetch got ready to leave, checking on Erick a last time.
"Kid, wake up," he said, taking the damp washcloth off of his forehead and dunking it in the icewater.
Erick groaned a bit in reply, keeping his eyes closed. Fetch sighed, taking the wash cloth and dabbing a bit around his throat and on his chest before laying it back on his forehead.
"Did you hear me?" he asked.
Erick blinked his eyes open, looking over at Fetch, but not really looking at him. Fetch sighed. He couldn't blame him in his current state.
"I'm going to get you some medicine," Fetch said, trying to keep things simple, "try to remember to drink water. I'll grab you a couple of bottles so you don't have to get up for them, okay? You can just stay in bed."
Erick didn't reply. Fetch just sighed and patted his knee before going back to the kitchen and pulling a six pack of plastic water bottles from the fridge. He placed them on the nightstand in the bedroom, taking the plastic wrapping off so Erick could get to them easier in his state. When he headed out, he stopped by the door and turned back to the teen. He was still peering at him, but there didn't seem to be much thought behind his eyes at all.
"I'll be back before dinner," Fetch said, before heading out.
He wasn't. His contact made him wait, then he changed the location, and then he bitched about not getting paid enough. Fetch had to set he record straight, but the whole ordeal caused him to arrive home much later than he had planned.
He was already cranky about all the effort he had to take, he was hungry because he hadn't had dinner yet, and he really hoped Erick's condition wouldn't have worsened, or he'd have more cleaning up to do. With a sigh, he lit himself a cigarette before unlocking the front door and heading inside.
He could tell right away that something was off. The bedroom door was open, and he could see Erick lying in the doorway. Fetch cursed under his breath, throwing his cigarette on the stairs before rushing inside to check on the teen.
He seemed to have passed out, not responding to Fetch shaking him. His breathing was shallow, and he felt hotter than he had before. Fetch cursed as he dragged him back to bed, checking his temperature. It was over 105 again. He did get antibiotics, but he got the oral kind, and if the teen wasn't conscious, he couldn't take them.
"Fuck," Fetch said, pacing the room a moment before making a decision.
With a grunt, he hoisted the teen over his shoulder and carried him out of the room and outside towards his van. He propped him up in the passenger's seat, covering him with his jacket to keep him warm before putting on his seat belt. Whilst he walked around to the driver's side, he pulled out his phone and looked up a number, pressing his phone to his ear while putting on his own seat belt and starting the engine.
"Hey, is this the emergency room? ... Great. I'm bringing in a young man, late teens, spiking a high fever and unresponsive, I'm turning onto the road now, I can be there in twenty or thirty minutes."
He didn't give them any more details. He could think of a cover story on the road. They could worry about police poking around after Erick had been tested and treated.

Not a Normal Pile-up
Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: T Warning: None pairing: None Description: The Autobot medics and city paramedics are called to an extraordinary highway pile-up. Snippet from ch. 17 of The Holiday Killer.
@medwhumpmay day 9, alt 4; vehicular accident
The scene on the highway looks like a bomb went off. The question is, how did some vehicles get flattened? “Severely damaged is one thing, but this is like a large truck ran the car over,” Ratchet points out. “A ten-car pile-up, but it’s strange,” Prowl comments, “several people claim to have seen a large loader plow through traffic.” “Explains the two unfortunate crushed cars,” Chase points out. The three medics and Heatwave help paramedics and firefighters while Chase and Prowl interview the few non-injured civilians. It’s a challenge getting the injured to the hospital in the middle of the storm.

Ratchet's Guilt
Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: E Warning: None Pairing: none Description: Ratchet blames himself for Jamie getting an infection. Continued from day 15.
@medwhumpmay day 31; "I'm so sorry."
Ratchet walks into the ICU room, seeing Jamie asleep. Drift sits on the chair by bed, Crosshairs on the chair in the only free corner. Ratchet knows Crosshairs has moved this chair beside Drift’s. He doesn’t question why Crosshairs is sitting in the corner of the room. “I’m so sorry,” Ratchet says. He realizes this was a horrible choice of words, “I should have known Jamie could have gotten sick. She was fragging stabbed and needed surgery. I should have given her antibiotics to prevent infection.” “It’s ok, Ratchet,” Drift assures the medic, “we know you do your best to take care of your patients.” This does not help ease Ratchet’s guilt as he sees how sick Jamie is. Even while he knows there’s worse. The medic sighs and leaves the room to prepare more medicine.

A Serious Problem
Author: Autobot2001 Gwenre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: T Warning: terrible eating habits Pairing: None Description: Crosshairs and Drift worry about Jamie's terrible eating habits.
@medwhumpmay day 11; passing out
Crosshairs and Drift are addressing Jamie’s eating issues because of frequent medbay visits. They are against using force to help Jamie even as they worry about Ratchet deciding it’s time for drastic measures by placing a g-tube in. Jamie ignores being hungry, highlighting the severity of her depression. He’d rather not do that because he feels like he’s forcing Jamie and this could become a habit and not resolve the problem. Jamie continues to be difficult and refuses to eat for a long period. Both mechs grow anxious not only that they’ll be taking Jamie to the medbay again. The last visit has them worried about Ratchet telling them it’s time for drastic measures.
This anxiety is present, as Jamie refuses to eat dinner. She didn’t eat lunch and had little for breakfast. Both mechs are afraid to let Jamie sleep. It’s a rare occasion when Jamie being awake late is helpful. The mechs don’t like telling Ratchet they might be waking him up.
The three watch TV for two hours before Jamie feels dizzy. She goes to bed. Crosshairs and Drift watch Jamie walk toward the bed and her sudden fall to the floor. They both know they watched her pass out. Crosshairs calls Ratchet while Drift moves Jamie onto his lap, worried about the fact that she passed out.
Jamie doesn’t remember passing out. She sees her two worried friends and knows Drift is holding her on his lap. Both mechs wait for Ratchet’s arrival before taking action. Concerned now, juice won’t suffice.
Hearing Jamie passed out adds to Ratchet's concern about Jamie having hypoglycemia again.
He walks into the bedroom and sees Jamie on Drift’s lap. He checks Jamie’s blood sugar. The medic is concerned with how low her blood sugar is this time. Despite previous success, Ratchet fears this treatment won’t suffice. He tells Crosshairs to get Jamie juice. Knowing there’s some in their mini fridge.
“Here, Sideswipe gave her some candy.” Ratchet sees a few opinions. He takes the Starburst and juice box. “Here Jamie, you need to drink the juice and eat the candy.” Jamie drinks the juice and eats the candy. Ratchet is debating on deciding it’s time to put a G-tube in. He knows Crosshairs and Drift don’t want to do this, but Jamie’s poor eating is becoming a problem.
Jamie’s blood sugar is normal after fifteen minutes. Drift lies her in bed. “I don’t know what else to do,” Ratchet tells Crosshairs and Drift, “this is not good nor is her lack of eating.” “We’re trying to get her to eat,” Drift tells him. “I know. I find it concerning she doesn’t want candy. You two told me that not even getting McDonald’s gets her to eat. We’d still have a problem if that’s all Jamie would eat, but she’s refusing everything.” The frustrated medic cleans the mess and leaves the room, leaving two worried guardians looking at their sleeping friend. Crosshairs hugs Drift, but has nothing reassuring to say.

Internal bleeding
Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: T Warning: None Pairing: None Description: Ratchet discovers Jamie has internal bleeding. The three medics do surgery to find the source and fix the issue. Continued from day 1.
@medwhumpmay day 10; emergency surgery
The second Ratchet places his hand on Jamie’s abdomen to make the first cut, he knows what this means. “She has internal bleeding,” he tells the other two medics.  The three worry about her vitals. Uncertain if tests to find the source is wise. They agree an exploratory laparotomy is best. They know this will turn into emergency surgery to repair the damage. Ratchet uses a stab wound as the point to cut rather than the normal cut with exploratory laparotomies. In minutes, the three see what needs to be repaired. Relieved to avoid organ removal. The concern is Jamie’s vitals are still declining. Saying nothing, Jasmine rushes to start a blood transfusion. Jolt and Ratchet work on repairing the origins. Trying to rush but also be careful.
The four hours until surgery finishes are challenging. Jamie is improving. She’s moved to an ICU room. The medics prepare infusions to help her blood pressure and administer one last blood transfusion. “They won’t like seeing this, but let them come here,” Jolt suggests. Ratchet nods, and texts Sunstreaker. Despite Jamie not being in a coma, the three worry about Crosshairs and Drift’s reaction because of past trauma.

Waiting in Silence
Author: Autobot2001 GenreL Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: E Warning: None Pairing: Drift X Jamie (OC) Description: Jamie's friends stand by the bed, waiting for her to wake up after surgery. Continued from day 10.
@medwhumpmay day 6, alt 3; bedside vigil
Once allowed into the medbay, the five friends don’t ask questions. The wait hinted at how serious Jamie’s injuries were. They can see the bandaged wounds on Jamie’s arms. They don’t want to know about the injuries they don’t see, but Crosshairs and Drift know they’ll receive instructions on wound care. They are calm knowing the five are waiting for Jamie to wake up from surgery rather than from a coma. She’s getting a little oxygen via a nasal cannula. Drift holds her hand.
They wait ten minutes for Jamie to wake up. Drift smiles even while Jamie still feels tired from the anesthesia. The friends are aware she’ll be in the medbay for a few days. They worry about her mental health after the attack and surgery, and when she sees the wounds.

One of Her Fears
Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: T Warning: Gun, implied death Pairing: None Description: Jamie has a nightmare that frightens her.
@medwhumpmay day 29, alt 19; gunshot wound
Jamie had enough. She wants to be dead. If she dies in this dimension, she’s still alive in here, but no one can stop her from killing herself in her dimension since her friends in the other directions don’t know how bad her mental health is.   Jamie walks down the hall towards the weapons room. She doesn’t have a key card but has a power to go anywhere.  Jamie gets a gun.
“Jamie no!” Drift yells. The two mechs run down the hall. Despite their reluctance, the two agreed to fight Jamie for the gun. No matter how they attempt to get the gun away from her, it’s dangerous. Crosshairs tries to pin Jamie to the floor, knowing she’ll use her full strength. The struggle lasts a few minutes before Crosshairs hears the gun going off. Crosshairs thought Jamie was successful until he saw what happened. Jamie stares horrified. Crosshairs knows she’s in shock but also if she wasn’t, he thinks her healing ability wouldn’t work. The medics wouldn’t be able to save Drift. Crosshairs already sees life fading from Drift. The world around him doesn’t exist as he watches Drift die. His holoform soon disappears. Crosshairs isn’t sure if it’s normal, like an emergency protocol until he hears Jamie’s crying. The sound of it has him convinced Drift’s spark stopped beating. This wasn’t an emergency deactivation of the holoform, and Drift would be ok. Drift is dead.
Jamie wakes up, terrified. She moves closer to Drift, only to realize he’s absent. It wasn’t a dream. Jamie thinks. She cries, not caring if she wakes up Crosshairs. Crosshairs hears her. He turns on the lamp on his nightstand. When Crosshairs picks Jamie up, he feels her trembling and a rapid heartbeat. He didn’t think her crying would get louder.
Drift is alarmed hearing Jamie’s crying from the bathroom.
Drift walks out of the bathroom, seeing Crosshairs trying to calm Jamie. “Let me take her.” Crosshairs lets Drift take Jamie from him. He watches Jamie tightly hug Drift. This looks different from usual to Crosshairs. Hating this likely means something else is terrifying her. The two know they should get Jamie to talk about what’s frightening her, but she’s always this upset and they believe they should get her back to sleep rather than upset her further. Drift struggles to calm Jamie. What would work is not working. Neither mech thinks it’s because she’s used to the methods. What has frightened you? Drift worries. The mech hates when Jamie doesn’t realize she’s not dreaming and is safe.
He continues his methods for ten minutes before telling Crosshairs to use lorazepam. Crosshairs knows Drift wouldn’t if he wasn’t concerned about how difficult it is for Jamie to calm down.  After injecting the medicine, Drift continues with his usual approach. He keeps this up for ten minutes before sitting on the bed with Crosshairs. By now Jamie is calm and is getting sleepy. Within five minutes, Jamie is asleep. Drift lies her in bed and covers her with the blanket. The two mechs sit in silence. Both can’t believe how terrified Jamie is. “I… don’t think she was dreaming about us abandoning her again,” Drift says, “she was dreaming about one of us dying.” Cross nods. He’d rather not talk about what Jamie’s nightmare could have been about. Drift says nothing else. The two mechs go back to bed. Drift moves Jamie close to him.

She Wasn't Ok Going back Alone
Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: T Warning: Poor mental health, self-harming Pairing: None Description: Crosshairs and Drift couldn't return to Jamie's dimension with her. They thought she'd be ok.
@whumpay mini-challenge 3; fighting the caretaker @medwhumpmay day 22, alt 8; self-inflicted
Crosshairs and Drift worry about Jamie’s self-harming. She’s already had twice. They do their best to protect her. Every Autobot and soldier is aware of one flaw; Jamie’s power to allow her to go anywhere she wants, making it pointless to keep her away from the N.E.S.T. base. The two mechs and their friends have their guns when using holoforms, and Sunstreaker also has his knife, but they are careful. They worry Jamie will break a mirror again.
The other issue is when Jamie returns to her dimension. Optimus does his best to ensure Crosshairs and Drift can go with Jamie. He doesn’t think Jamie will be difficult if another friend returns with her, but knowing her relationship with Crosshairs and Drift, he’d rather they return with her. This time, there is a problem. “Are you sure she’ll be ok without them for two days?” Ironhide asks, “I know what you’re thinking, but this is risking her safety even if she seldom hurts herself. Everyone knows and would let Crosshairs and Drift dismiss themselves from the current task.” “I know, I’d rather let them choose. They believe she’ll be ok. Despite Jamie’s previous statement a few weeks back.” Crosshairs and Drift weren’t worried about Jamie. They knew she’d be upset knowing what she deals with.
As they walk into the house, what Crosshairs and Drift see horrifies them. Jamie sits on the floor not reacting to her bleeding legs. The two worry about why other injuries she gave herself, but relieved she didn’t try knocking herself out by hitting her head on the floor. There’s evidence that she didn’t. since she’s fighting the two mechs to keep them from taking care of the cuts. Crosshairs and Drift know the cuts might appear worse than they are. They’ve already seen this happen with their friend Jayce. “Stop,” Drift says as he tries to restrain Jamie’s arms. Jamie wouldn’t use her full strength when getting Drift away, but this time she’s pushing him away. Crosshairs watches while getting things to take care of the injuries. While he and Drift have established non-verbal communication methods, this situation does not apply.
Drift can’t believe he’s watching Crosshairs force Jamie onto the floor. He sees the syringe in Crosshairs’ hand. While the drug is a sedative, this is still dangerous. The struggle is brief before Crosshairs injects the drug. The two hate that they had to resort to sedation. Crosshairs takes care of the injuries while Drift holds Jamie, watching her fall asleep. Once Jamie is asleep, he sees Crosshairs cleaning Jamie’s legs. She has three cuts on each leg. It’s a little relief to know the cuts don’t need stitches.
Once Crosshairs finishes caring for the injuries, Drift lies Jamie on her bed and covers her with a blanket. He looks at Crosshairs, worried about the expression on his face.

On The Mend
Author: Autobot2001 Genre: Fanfiction Fandom: Transformers Rating: T Warning: Mention of poor eating habits Pairing: Drift X Jamie (OC) Description: Jamie is recovering from surgery and the infection. Continued from day 15. Note: I mentioned Drift and Jamie's relationship to clarify one sentence. I never know if I should mention relationships if there's nothing romantic going on in the writing. I don't see people stating friendships, but that's clear in my writing.
@medwhumpmay day 20; surgery recovery + day 21; nausea
Ratchet let Crosshairs and Drift care for Jamie other than medication. He checks on Jamie when he replaces the medication IV bag. Jamie walks with Drift’s help to the bathroom. Jasmine had offered to help her, but Jamie didn’t want it. The two mechs were happy to hear Jamie is doing better four days after treatment for the infection began. Because of the infection, Jamie has seldom gotten out of bed. The incision is healing well. “…. I think she’ll be ok to eat,” Jamie hears Ratchet as he, Crosshairs, and Drift walk into the room, “wait an hour for this to kick in,” Ratchet has several IV bags, “more antibiotics, IV fluids, and anti-nausea medicine,” he explains to Jamie. He tells Jamie that he wants her to try to eat and drink water today before leaving the room. Crosshairs and Drift lie on the bed with Jamie between them. They can only have one leg on the bed, the other hanging off. Crosshairs gets Jamie’s tablet from his subspace and finds something for the three to watch, hoping to distract her from nausea and avoid throwing up.
“How many pictures do you have?” Jasmine asks. “Just three,” Ratchet admits, “not much difference between the three, but I couldn’t resist.” Ratchet shows Jasmine the three pictures. She sees how similar they are. The same pictures of Crosshairs and Drift on the bed the best they can. The difference lies in their actions. Jasmine smiles seeing the two mechs fell asleep with Jamie in one picture. “Awe, I think Crosshairs and Drift would love to see these.”
Ratchet waits three hours to check on Jamie. He sees Drift feeding her applesauce. “I think he wanted to,” Crosshairs whispers, “but she also didn’t want to eat. I’m unsure if I like Drift doing this.” “He wouldn’t force her to eat if she shoved his hand away. You know how much he hates doing that. Her eating habits are terrible, but forcing her to eat isn’t good. I’m hoping today will be the last day she’ll need the anti-nausea medication but she’s not done with antibiotics yet. I want her to walk a bit more.” “We’ll see what we can do.” Ratchet leaves the room. Crosshairs sits on the chair, watching his friends. Drift unexpectedly asks Jamie to go for a walk after the infusion concludes. They both knew she’d refuse. “It’s ok,” Drift assures her, “out to the courtyard is a good idea. Maybe with friends.”
Both persuade Jamie to go on a walk. Jamie can change into clothes. The terror twins, Lily and Lightning walk in after Jamie gets dressed. They all head on their walk. Drift holds Jamie’s hand.
Some Autobots walk by, glad to see Jamie out of the medbay. They notice the IV still in her hand, indicating that she is still not discharged from the medbay.
The friends sit on the ground under a tree. They don’t mind not doing anything else. Jamie leans on Drift who sits by the tree trunk. Jamie knows it’ll be a few weeks before she can return to training. She’s not bored while on the medbay and thinks Sideswipe is planning on playing video games with her once she’s discharged.

@medwhumpmay day 19; blood loss
“How much blood did she lose,” Ratchet hears Drift ask, “for her to need a blood transfusion.” “Jamie didn’t lose much blood before surgery. She didn’t lose a critical amount during surgery. It’s often protocol after organ repair to do a blood transfusion. Jamie will be ok.” Crosshairs heard what Ratchet said. He gets Drift to leave the room as Jasmine walks in. “I wish we could do something,” Jasmine says, “anyone would worry considering what happened, but they’re anxious because of past trauma.” “They can see she’s stable, but the past trauma is still causing anxiety.” The two watch their friends sit by the bed in the room across the hall.
