☎️Once late at night, we received a call from a man whose experience is worth sharing. The man was in his early 30s and married. According to him, his wife was expecting their first child. He went on a blind date in a secluded place. There a group of men physically assaulted him (read in between the words) and then forced him to empty his account via digital payment. Finally, they threw him on a highway in dire condition (again read between the words).

✍️Every week we receive 2 to 3 phone calls from distressed men who went on blind dates and then they get robbed and get physically assaulted. These men do not want to lodge police complaints for fear of social ostracization. These predators are not new to the society. They were there right from the beginning. The only difference is earlier they preyed on girls in the past and now they are preying on gays. In our #NoMotivationOnlyInformation campaign, we are sharing many such trends in society, whereas few trends are ironic and on the other hand few are disturbing.

But last year, in August we had to stop our free service indefinitely due to insufficient funds. To resume our free mental health counseling we need your support. ☎️One day, we were contacted by a distressed man in his mid-60s, holding a prominent position. He was involved romantically with a younger man in his mid-20s. His primary worry revolved around compromising images and videos he had shared with his purported partner. Now his ex is exploiting him both physically and financially. According to him, his ex has been extracting money from him regularly, and not only that; but he is also getting exploited by that young man. He can’t complain to the police for fear of further harassment and wants us to “take action silently” against that young man. We explained to him what he needed to do to get rid of that situation.

✍️Before judging someone’s act, please learn the disturbing reality of modern relationships. Why irrespective of age and profession so many individuals make such monstrous mistakes? Why would a savvy individual withhold financial details from family yet freely share compromising content with someone they barely know? 

✍️The answer lies in “Loneliness”.

✍️Loneliness can destroy people’s natural analytical capacity & it never discriminates based on age and gender. We have observed people can be so desperate to be in a relationship that they can go to any extent. They voluntarily overlook every red flag just for fear of losing a companion. Such lonely people don't even seek legal help for fear of social stigma even after brutal and repeated assaults.
