And I apologize for repeating that betrayal over and over by allowing other's words and deeds to tear down the vision you had of who God created you to be. YOU'RE BREAKING FREE NOW, it'll be okay. I'll protect you now. Reposted from @enneagrampaths One part of reparenting is apologizing to the little versions of you. He/she/they need to hear an adult validate their pain and legitimize their childhood wounds. Treating younger you with tenderness and respect will open up your heart to all the important information, feelings, and sensations your inner child holds so tightly. . Often, younger parts of yourself took on roles to protect you, roles that might have been too “grown up” for them at the time. Now there is distress and pain. Meeting these parts of you with love is key in healing. You want to be loved and so do your younger selves. . Reparenting isn’t about blaming our parents for our childhoods. It’s about seeing and acknowledging pain that occurred during our formative years and beyond. It’s about the us of right now (our adult selves) offering love and healing to any younger part of ourselves. Pain can come from parents, it can also come from school, camp, peers, teachers, siblings, other family members, dating relationships into teenage years, or life experiences. . 👉Follow @enneagrampaths for more Enneagram insights! . . . #enneagram #enneagram8 #enneagram8w9 #enneagram8w7 #enneagrameight #enneagramjourney #enneagram8women #selfdiscoveryjourney #enneagramcoach #millenneagram #enneagramtypes #enneagramtype8 #enneagramtypeeight #enneagrampaths #bodytriad #enneagrams #enneagramseries #innerchild #innerchildhealing (at Warrendale, Detroit, Michigan) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoAJBl1OLXL/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Maybe we should all be praying in math. •• Thumbs up to all my mathematicians or other super nerds who get this mug. •• I’m blown away at the generosity and kindness of my friends and community. It’s no secret this year has been hard for basically everyone, and I’m no exception. My people have gotten me through. •• I hope you can find time to connect or reconnect with your people as this very challenging year comes to a close. •• And if nothing else, I hope you can find a little extra light this season. 😉 • • • #enneagram #enneagram1 #enneagram2 #enneagram3 #enneagram4 #enneagram5 #enneagram6 #enneagram7 #enneagram8 #enneagram9 #millenneagram #spiritualgrowth #personalgrowth #enneagramcoach #queerenneagram #personalitytypes #enneagramtypes #spiritualwork #innerwork #transformation #contemplative #contemplativepractice #practice #yoga #meditation #yogatherapy #math #godisablackhole #godismath (at Austin, Texas Y'all) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXz1hJDtKvV/?utm_medium=tumblr

Truth About The Life of Millennials In 2019 By: Tanushree Mohile Post Link: In bio Among the noise of negativity towards the millennial generation, this article talks about the realities of our lives in today's world #millennials #MILLENNIALSCHOICE2019 #millennial #MillennialTalk #millenneagram #millennialblogger #millennialschoice2019 #millennialmemes #millennialproblems #millenniallife #millennialgeneration People love blaming millennials for everything, we often read articles about “Millennials are the cause for our crashing economy”, “How millennials are crashing the real estate market”, “How millennials are killing the printing business”, “How millennials are killing the diamond industry” so on and so forth. Articles on millennials would make it seems like we’re the root cause of the end of several industries across the globe. The other trend in conversations about millennials on the internet is, they’re entitled, privileged, know it all, who wouldn’t survive in the “real world” for one day. But is that really the truth? Have Millennials knowingly or unknowingly become the most entitled? Checkout the link in bio. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bwq7b0Ph3n3/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mnzsrrnrr3gy

ENNEAGRAM RESOURCES 🕯
There’s a super frustrating amount of misinformation around the Enneagram, so here’s a reference post for credible resources for anyone who wants to learn more. Will be updated as I find more! (Everything under the cut)
Tests
Basically none. The Enneagram isn’t like MBTI; it wasn’t originally created as a test. Most of the online tests out there are bs, and the best way to type yourself anyway is to read through the nine types and see which one you identify with
There is the RHETI, which is reliable, but costs $12. I would still recommend just reading through the type descriptions
Web
The Enneagram Institute: How The System Works
The Enneagram Institute: Type Descriptions (click on each one for a longer description)
Books
The Complete Enneagram: 27 Paths to Greater Self-Knowledge by Dr. Beatrice Chestnut
The Enneagram BIBLE. Goes into a ton of depth about subtypes, not so much about wings (although according to Chestnut, modern enneagram thinking overemphasizes the importance of wings and under-emphasizes the importance of the subtypes, which I agree with). Relatively dense so might not be the best for beginners.
The Wisdom of the Enneagram: The Complete Guide to Psychological and Spiritual Growth for the Nine Personality Types by Don Richard Riso and Ross Hudson
The type descriptions aren’t as good as The Complete Enneagram, but the first 100 pages are basically a bunch of super helpful charts and texts on the structure of the system and identifying factors of each type (basic fear, basic desire, unconscious childhood message, etc). A really good reference.
The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self-Discovery by Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile
A little more digestible and better for beginners than The Complete Enneagram
The Path Between Us: An Enneagram Journey to Healthy Relationships by Suzanne Stabile
About relationships between types specifically
Millenneagram: The Enneagram Guide for Discovering Your Truest, Baddest Self by Hannah Paasch
I personally found the tone of this annoying and corny (and the info is basic, good for beginners) but it’s significant because the Enneagram historically has been inaccessible to certain demographics (non-Christians, the lgbt community, people of color, younger people) and this is working to combat that.
The Literary Enneagram: Characters from the Inside Out by Judith Searle
Not a must read, but fun. Mostly types characters from older/classic literature.
In general, there aren’t that many bad books. Anyone writing an entire book on the Enneagram probably knows at least some of what they’re talking about

The Typology Podcast

“In the book Millenneagram, Hannah Paasch says, “The growth edge here is for a Nine to reclaim their power from whomever the fuck they’ve passively given it to, or at least haven’t demanded it back from”. I read this while in the midst of deconstructing and, as a Nine, it unleashed a whole lot of feelings.
“My immediate realisation was that the person I’d given my power to was God. And sure, yea, I get that that’s what we’re ‘supposed’ to do, but that doesn’t mean I couldn’t examine the concept.”

been meaning to make more enneagram + tog content so here have this shittily edited graphic of characters in different situations! (click on pics/zoom in to read). these pages are from the book Millenneagram: The Enneagram Guide for Discovering Your Truest, Baddest Self by Hannah Paasch
editors notes:
search “enneagram” on my blog for more info. also PLEASE talk to me about it if you get into it
so far im finding this book to be a fun, fresh take on the enneagram and i recommend it as a basic intro resource, but it’s also pretty obnoxious and very “hey fellow kids!!”-y. but these pages are funny
i THINK nesryn is a five and i THINK elide is a two. don’t be mad if i realize i was dumb and switch those later (like maybe elide’s a nine? hmmm)
i cannot for the life of me think of a SINGLE type four in all of tog. pls lmk if you can
aedion lorcan and ansel are all also eights along with aelin but i got tired of typing and also i don’t care about any of them that much besides ansel (who doesn’t show up much besides in tab) so :/ just imagine them there if you want
still dk what type manon is so that’s why she’s not here

diabolus darkdoom: enneagram 8w7
“A screen slowly lowered from the ceiling behind him, showing a picture of a strikingly handsome man. He wore a long black frock coat and held a dueling sword, its tip resting on the ground. His head was completely bald and his calm expression seemed to convey a sense of self-confidence and capability.” –The Higher Institute of Villainous Education, Mark Walden
You can almost feel the energy shift when an Eight walks into the room.
Eights are leaders, protectors, people who take charge and are generally active in their spaces. They are pushers. They test the boundaries of any sphere in which they find themselves and expand any boundaries that are too restrictive.
They actively choose to be the protagonists in their story.
8w7s are larger than fucking life, strategically extra, moderators and instigators of both fun-having and necessary conflict.
Their confidence is legendary, and their pitches are too. 8w7s are never-back-down bitches.

You have suffered in silence and I have allowed you to feel unprotected. You never received justice for the things you endured. But God covers you, and I love you. I will never allow you to be abused again. We are healed. We can be our authentic selves. Reposted from @enneagrampaths This time of year calls for extra awareness of our younger selves, taking into account all of our parts and how they work so hard to keep us safe. Breathe deep, my friend, feeling your ribs expand, allowing space into your hearts. Let your mind settle when it can. . If you find yourself triggered, frustrated, activated, or stuck in loops - try taking a moment alone to close your eyes and speak gentle words to the little one inside. Be curious about what gentleness might do. . Eights, we love your fire and your tender hearts! . Every second and fourth Thursday of the month foe the last 8 months, I’ve gathered with 18 of the best people I could imagine to dive deeper into our personal and spiritual work with the enneagram. •• Every meeting of the Conscious Enneagram Cohort has been completely amazing. In a time where it’s easy to feel disconnected, it’s felt like such a blessing to be able to connect in a real and deep way with so many incredible people. •• Last night something even more amazing happened. As we shared our observations and our struggles, I watched as people shared questions, and others answered and taught from their own powerful experiences. It washed over me that I wasn’t doing anything to make this happen. It was just happening, and it was everything I had hoped for when I started the cohort. •• This work doesn’t work in isolation, we need community and connection to do it well and I feel so grateful to have this cohort. •• Details for next year’s cohort application process will be coming out in the next couple months and I hope you consider joining us in this transformative experience. • • • #enneagram #enneagram1 #enneagram2 #enneagram3 #enneagram4 #enneagram5 #enneagram6 #enneagram7 #enneagram8 #enneagram9 #millenneagram #spiritualgrowth #personalgrowth #enneagramcoach #queerenneagram #personalitytypes #enneagramtypes #spiritualwork #innerwork #transformation #contemplative #contemplativepractice #practice #yoga #meditation #yogatherapy (at Austin, Texas Y'all) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSg_4nGrJk0/?utm_medium=tumblr

Millenneagram: The Enneagram Guide for Discovering Your Truest, Baddest Self

Millenneagram: The Enneagram Guide for Discovering Your Truest, Baddest Self by Hannah Paasch
Buckle up, folks. It’s time to jump in, embrace your inner self, and release the things that are holding you back from wholeness. Enter the Millenneagram. The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing system that has a sneaky way of revealing who we are and why we do the things we do. Using nine types, it gets to the root of our fears and motivations, unveiling our inner-most selves. Millenneagram reinvigorates the Enneagram by putting a modern spin on the classic nine types. Hannah Paasch, creator of the popular #millenneagream threads on Twitter, reveals how this system acts as a map toward our authentic selves. For Hannah, the Enneagram is not about changing who we are, but rather nurturing and loving our whole selves, even the pain in the ass qualities. “Only from this position of wholeness, rootedness in who we are, what we believe, and what kind of story we are writing, will we be able to act bravely for the sake of justice and humanity – to approach our f*cked-up world with the grounded courage it asks of us.” With her trademark irreverent humor and empowering affirmations, Millenneagram reframes the classic Enneagram types with a fresh perspective and new names that cut right to the chase: #1 The Machine “I’m an Enneagram 1 and I Can Fix This!” #2 The Parent “I’m an Enneagram 2 and Can I Get You a Refill?” #3 The Winner “I’m an Enneagram 3 and All I Do Is Win.” #4 The Tortured Artist “I’m an Enneagram 4 and I’m Deeper Than You.” #5 The Detective “I’m an Enneagram 5 and I Read an Article About That.” #6 The Oracle “I’m an Enneagram 6 and I’m Loyal as Fuck.” #7 The Party “I’m an Enneagram 7 so This Might Be Vodka In My Mug.” #8 The Dragon “I’m an Enneagram 8 so Nice Try, Bitch.” #9 The Wallflower “I’m an Enneagram 9 so Let’s Just All Chill Out, Dude.” A powerful tool for self-discovery (that doesn’t take itself too seriously), Millenneagram is an invitation for introspection and growth. Hannah’s revamped Enneagram goes beyond simply identifying with a type: it gives us permission to be our truest, enough-as-is, bad-ass selves.
