Okay we all know that Leo loves his brothers more than anything, he has literally tried to sacrifice himself for his brothers multiple times & we were all there for the ‘I’m nothing without them’ line
Tumblr media
But I feel like we also should acknowledge the part of Leo’s relationship with his brothers that is just, Leo’s brother’s annoying him until he nearly gets a migraine.
Everyone always places Leo as the annoying sibling but Rise Leo has to deal with his brothers raising his blood pressure just as much as any other Leo does.
Tumblr media
Raph: Good thing we didn’t do Leo’s idea of being afraid of spiders! Ha!
Leo: I don’t know I still don’t trust her!
Tumblr media
Raph: HA! In your face!
Tumblr media
Raph: HA! In your face! And yours! And yours! And yours again!
Yes Raph loves his brothers very much, he takes care of them & looks out for them ect He also teases & makes fun of them relentlessly & Leo is his primary target for said teasing. In the traditional Raph VS Leo fashion Raph has made countless jokes at Leo’s expense & when he’s teasing his brothers in the episode Sidekick Ahoy! He literally rubs getting the Jupiter Jim sidekick position in Leo’s face twice.
Tumblr media
Leo: Then give us ice for our horribly mangled bodies!
Donnie: ... It melted
Tumblr media
Donnie: Sheldon needs time to recharge before firing his anti- turtle ray
Leo: Why is that a ray Donnie!?
Tumblr media
Leo: You turned a cuddly animatronic bear into a psychotic robot bent on destroying us? No? Got April fired? Hmm? Nothing?
Donnie: That does not sound like me
I’m pretty sure that Leo is a vast majority of Donnie’s impulse control there are countless times when Donnie’s first instinct is over the top violence & Leo is the first one to pull him back but if that wasn’t enough to deal with Donnie has a tendency for trying to avoid admitting wrong doing as well just deciding he’s going to make Leo’s day a bit more difficult sometimes.
Tumblr media
Leo: So when she kept growing that wasn’t a clue to stop screaming?
Mikey: Sorry, but hopefully Raph heard me
Leo: Astronauts heard you!
Tumblr media
Leo: This is not a compatition!
Mikey: Says the guy with zero unicorns.
Leo loves Mikey, he’s probably Mikey’s biggest supporter & Mikey loves & looks up to Leo so much but as emotionally mature as Mikey can be sometimes, Mikey is still the youngest of his brothers which means there are times where he acts immature & either doesn’t read the situation correctly & puts himself & his brothers in danger or he doesn’t take the situation seriously & makes things more difficult. Either way it gives Leo a lot of stress to deal with.
Tumblr media
Leo: Come on! Come on! Come on! Help us fight these guys!
Mikey: No! I want a refill on my coconut!
Raph:  Take us back to Tahiti!
Donnie: More Tahiti!
Leo loves his brothers, he is literally willing to give his life for them on multiple occasions & they are the people he trusts & believes in most but in a true sibling fashion they are also a constant source of stress for Leo. Just because Leo isn’t the oldest in Rise does not mean that his brothers aren’t constantly raising his blood pressure.

The last shift of your first week at Freddy's was welcomed with open arms by the time it arrived. You had known it would be chaos dealing with children, change, tickets, prizes, the arcade and all the fun responsibilities that came with being a restaurant but by the Saturday morning, you were ready to have a day off and take off the shoes you'd brought to work in.
Two days in you had decided that the somewhat flimsy shoes you had originally brought with you were no good after you were tired of getting your toes stepped on by small children, so you had been and bought some still pretty but sturdy black boots to work in and ever since you had been minorly less injured by children. Minorly. Children were prone to being slightly feral when hyped on slightly watered down fizzy-drinks and pizza as well as surrounded by bright lights and colours.
Spotting a child trying to climb on stage, you sigh and walk over with a bright smile, gently tapping the kid on the shoulder and making them turn around as you bent down to their height. Your bright red vest and confetti blouse wrinkling slightly as you almost ended up kneeling on the sticky carpet, the kid's face scrunched up in annoyance at the intrusion of his playtime until he noticed it was a member of staff.
"Hey buddy! I've been so silly and forgotten the rules of Freddy's and you seem like a smart little man," You said brightly, watching the kid puff out his striped shirt chest and straighten up, trying not to smile that somebody at Freddy's had called him smart. "can you tell them to me again?"
"Sure I can! I can cause I'm smart!" He tried to lower his voice to sound more important, and it made your heart melt slightly as to how adorable it was. Nodding encouragingly as you waited for him to speak.
"Go on then buddy."
"Well umm... You gotta not run! That's the biggest rule and the biggest means it's first! Then um... umm, oh you've got no loud noises...Go to the bathroom? Know where your mommy is!...um...umm. Don't touch Freddy? Don't hit other people! and um..umm that's it."
"Well done superstar! What were you about to do when I came over?" You asked, knowing the kid was puffed up in pride and would walk right into the question.
"I was going to give Freddy a hug!" Suddenly looking sheepish as he realised what had happened and why you had asked him. His shoulders sagging and his lip pouting as he bowed his little head, making you touch his shoulder gently again to grab his attention, making him look up and reveal teary eyes.
"I'm guess he's your favourite?" The kid nodded and you reached into your pocket, pulling out a Freddy Fazbear sticker and handing it to the kid with some arcade tokens. "Well that's okay, but you have to stick to the rules buddy, although you get a prize for being such a superstar and remembering them!"
Standing up, any thoughts of tears from the child were gone and he ran back off into the restaurant to play whatever game was popular that day, or to make new friends about their favourite animatronics. You were always surprised to see how many kids 'played Freddy's' by collecting kids with different favourites and would huddle in groups, taking turns singing various songs from the pizzeria.
You jumped as you turned around and almost walked into Garret, clutching your heart thumping in your chest as you took a deep breath and composed yourself. He shrugged his shoulders at the fact he had been standing so close to you, clearing his throat like that would remedy it.
"What is it Garret? And if you say that the ladies need cleaning again, I did it twice yesterday, I'm not doing it today." You said, keen to move as you were aware that you were in front of the main stage and according to your watch it was only four minutes until showtime, confirmed over the tannoy which only seemed to hype the kids around you up more. All rushing to eat, drink and play before the next show as if they didn't happen every twenty minutes.
"No actually, Daphne has that today. But Henry said he needed you to pop into parts and services and find him a 'flux capacitor', in the labelled box and bring it to him. He needs it for the parts order next week." He shrugged and you squinted at him for a second before you nodded and thanked him for passing on the message, heading towards Parts and Services, a back room down the concrete back halls of the place.
It didn't take you long to find it, after a few minutes of searching and asking somebody where it was as they passed by. But as you opened the door, you noticed how cluttered it was initially. Sighing as you realised how long it was going to take trying to find a presumably small part in a mess of cables, boxes and half-built things you were nervous to go near in case they broke. The few dim bulbs overhead didn't help as you began to search, carefully picking up boxes or moving coils of wire to check the labels, wondering if there was any form of organisation as you opened up a large box labelled as 'fuses' and finding animatronic eyes staring back, cold and unblinking.
Sighing, you stood up again and took a half-step back to try and turn around and try not to disturb anything perched precariously on the workbench nearby. Your back hitting something unexpectedly and making you scream, throwing your hands up to cover your face and cowering back into the shelves as you startled. A large hand darting out over the top of you and gripping the shelf you bumped into to stop it from potentially tipping over.
Removing your hands from your face you found yourself confronted with a white undershirt that was stained with motor oil and grease from the animatronics, forcing you to look up and face the quizzical expression that was looking down at you. Grey eyes behind gold rimmed aviator glasses sparkling with amusement, deep brown hair and the slightest beard going on that had just started to grey closer to the temples. Swallowing hard, you blinked up at the unfamiliar man, mind racing along with your heart.
"Well I know I'm all dirty and shit but do I really look that bad?" The baritone voice chuckled, slightly gravelly and still somehow warm enough to make you melt slightly.
"N-No sir I'm so so sorry, I-I didn't mean-" You began to stammer before the man removed his arm from above your head, stepping back and sitting at a chair from the workbench, giving you a better look at him even under the dim lights.
He was shirtless, or at least, no proper shirt on but rather a white-tshirt. Giving you a good view of his broad shoulders and thick arms, the tight shirt giving you a good idea of a developing dad-body that still somehow screamed muscular and how tall he was as he stretched his legs out, crossing his arms and holding his biceps, making you glance at his hands and noticing how large they too seemed.
"Are you new here?" He asked, tilting his head to one side as he looked at you critically, his expression serious despite the humour in his eyes that you had briefly seen.
"Yes sir. I started this week." Swallowing nervously as you tried to look anywhere but the large man infront of you, occasionally meeting his eyes to be polite but otherwise trying not to stare, knowing your cheeks were already heated up enough and you could tell you were blushing hard.
"Figures, I'm going to take a gamble and say... Garret, that spotty teenage kid? Kinda weedy looking? Told you to come in here and look for something?" Hiding amusement from his voice as he sat observing you, thinking that perhaps you were too naive and sweet to be back in the grimy bowels of the establishment.
"Yes sir, he um.. He said I needed a 'flux capacitor' or something for the parts order for-" You didn't get much further as the man began to laugh, a deep bassy sound that made your chest flutter slightly as you heard it, definitely blushing if you weren't before. His face split into a grin, revealing a lopsided smile as he shifted and stood up again, once more towering over your much smaller frame.
"Yeah he's fucking with you. I'll admit, this is one of the more...creative... ways that a new staff member has been hazed." Chuckling still as he walked over to a different bench, making you realise that had probably been where he was stood before you bumped into him. "They usually get the newbies to come in here and bring random shit out, but actually having you look for something that doesn't exist, quite funny."
You felt your cheeks burning as he laughed at you and made you feel uncomfortable, squirming as you tried to stand for the scrutiny before you looked up at him tinkering away with something on a bench, realising that you hadn't seen him the entire week you'd been working there. It was your turn to cross your arms, clearing your throat slightly before speaking.
"You know, I don't know who you are. You're not wearing a uniform or a name badge, so I'd like to see some ID please." You said, holding out one hand and struggling to try and keep your composure as the broad and tall man stopped tinkering and turned his head to blink at you.
He saw you stood there, tiny compared to him and still trying to defiantly hold out your hand, demanding to see ID and prove that he was meant to be there. He tried not to smile as he reached into his slacks pockets and pulled out his wallet, thumbing through it until he pulled out two cards. His Fazbear employee card and his drivers licence, handing them over simultaneously and letting you inspect them closely.
You looked over them carefully, although it took seconds before your face paled and it fell. Body shaking as you realised how badly you had fucked up by demanding ID from the man.
"Sorry, we don't seem to have met before, I'm William Afton, co-owner of Freddy Fazbear's." Grinning widely as he plucked the cards from your hands and put them on the worktop before offering a rough, oily hand to shake. Taking a little humour in your shocked expression as you shakily took his hand, almost lost in his as you both shook and introduced yourself. Quietly giving him your name too.
"It's nice to meet you little lady, but I'm sure you have to get back out into the colourful world of Freddy's." He suggested, trying to contain his laughter as you swallowed nervously, avoiding his eyes again which was a small pet-peeve of his, but he was willing to be forgiving on that occasion as you had been caught off-guard by him and didn't know him yet.
Gesturing to the door, you allowed him to escort you there, turning back to apologise to him before he leaned against the doorframe and looked down at you with a grin, wanting to fuck with you some more before he fully let you go.
"You're welcome back any time though, Henry doesn't usually let the pretty ones come down here." He laughed darkly, making a biting motion with a slightly snarled lip at you and listening to the squeak you made as you practically speed walked down the hallway with an obvious blush on your cheeks. Chuckling to himself at the fact he had flustered you so successfully.
You practically burst into the restaurant and went straight onto your break, plopping down into the staff room and placing your head in your hands, groaning loudly as you tried to process what had just happened. Hearing the chair opposite you scrape back, you saw Stacey looking at you curiously, eyebrow raised as you just shook your head at her.
"So, you practically ran through the building like your ass was on fire, what's up?" She teased, making you shake your head again, face burning as you tried to repress your new image of William Afton and could still hear his baritone voice in your ears.
"It's nothing Stacey."
"Bullshit! Come on! Did you stare at one of the dad's too long or something?" She teased, poking at your arm and hands until you pulled them away from your face and revealed the heavy blush, making her laugh even more "Oh come on, what could have been sooo bad?"
"I met Mr. Afton." Stacey snorted as you said it, raising a sceptical eyebrow and grinning at you.
"Okay, and I mean, he can be weird but like, what else is there to-"
"Stacey I asked him for his fucking ID and employee badge since he wasn't in uniform." You decided to leave out the part where he had called you pretty and bit at you in a way that you were almost ashamed to say made your stomach flutter with butterflies, and the fact you had run into him. Physically run into him. And screamed when you saw him.
The encounter got more and more embarrassing the more you thought about it.
"Well...Shit." Stacey offered helpfully, patting your hand consolingly as you felt your body burning up in shame. "Guess you gotta hope and pray he forgets by Monday."
You knew you certainly wouldn't forget by Monday, and somewhere in the back of your mind, you knew he wouldn't either.

heres something interesting i noticed about the ruined designs! each ruined animatronic designs of the original evil 3 of SB all have parts of their design that kinda recreate something recognizeable from their original looks.
Tumblr media
chica has a trash bag in her middle to make up for the broken space so it appears she still has her light pink dark pink leotard look. she also has orange/yellow melted cheese on her mouth to represent her beak. the cheese also fills in the gaps with chicas torso to help aid the complete leotard look i mentioned earlier
Tumblr media
roxy has a lot of attention brought to her green strand because it stands out and is recognizeable as roxy. she also has red wiring on her arm to make up for her lack of shoulder pad, and red wiring on the left side of her torso to create the illusion of her shirt, and on top of that the broken plastic on her torso piece resembles the star pattern on her shirt. her pelvis is also singed from the fire in SB and is red to resemble her clothes
Tumblr media
monty is the most far gone from his original personality in his design. the fact that hes only half of an animatronic is enough but also they brought attenton to his mowhawk because its blaringly monty. they also made some parts of hid endoskeleton a lighter rusty color to resemble his underbelly color
my point after all of this is comparing all of these design decisions to ruined Freddy
Tumblr media
with this design, they removed the two most recognizeable things about freddy: his lightning bolt and his face. his head is completely gone, which is a big deal, and the blue lightling bolt is almost completely ripped off.
they chose to stick with fun FNAF 4 refs with ruined freddy with the lack of a head and stomach mouth, and i think that its genius. the callbacks are cool and all, but i think the fact that they removed what makes Freddy look like himself from this design really hammers in how its NOT freddy. our freddy is canonically somewhere else outside with Gregory and Vanessa. this Freddy is only a shell of ours and it shows with how unrecognizeable it is.
with the others, they designed them so you can still see that even after all this damage theyre STILL themselves. but sith Freddy, they remove everything recognizeable he had before, because it ISNT him.
youre not supposed to see him as same old freddy and they removed what makes him himself from this design and on top of that, they gave us cool early fnaf references and also made the one safe place for Gregory in SB super dangerous looking. i just think SW are geniuses thats all

[The scene cuts to the pizzeria as the guard is heard screaming offscreen. The text of the production companies involved plays as the camera pans around the pizzeria, stopping & zooming in a drawing with kids holding hands alongside a yellow rabbit, followed by the opening credits. After the logo shows up, an alarm clock starts beeping. Mike sighs, gets up, turns the alarm off, & hides his pills in a drawer, as the camera pans to the Nebraska poster on his ceiling. He then does push-ups, & after that, the camera cuts to Abby's drawings.]
Mike Schmidt: Abs, you ready? (enters his room, ready for work) Abby? (looks around) Abs. (approaches Abby's pillow fort) Come on, I know you're in there. Let's go. (shakes the sheets) Abby, come on.
Abby Schmidt: Okay, okay. You're being a jerk.
Mike Schmidt: You know I have somewhere to be, come on, let's go. Five minutes, I need you dressed. (gets a plushie thrown at him) Five minutes.
[Cut to a mall, where Mike's co-worker, Jeremiah, reads a book called, "Dream Theory" while slurping a drink.]
Jeremiah: "And though the dreamer remains asleep, he walks through memory as if experiencing it for the 1st time anew, no longer a passenger but an active participant." (puts down the book & chuckles) This stuff for real?
Mike Schmidt: Some people think so, guess it depends on what you believe.
Jeremiah: Summer of '82, I traded a mint condition Cal Ripken Jr. rookie for a used copy of "Missile Command". That card's probably worth 800 bucks now. I wish I could participate in that memory & activelykick my own ass. (looks at the book) Can I keep it?
Mike Schmidt: No. (takes the book)
[Mike waits in line at an ice cream shop as he watches an unsupervised child.]
Female Customer: I would like the walnut fudge, but I want the fudge on the side because I don't want it to melt the ice cream; & can I get some whipped cream on top & 3 cherries?
Cindy: Coming right up.
[Mike notices a man seemingly abducting a child & runs after him.]
Mike Schmidt: HEY! (3x)
[He tackles the man & beats him up in a waterfall. This scene is followed by a security camera feed reading 4/6/2000 on the top left, & right below it, 4:13PM. On the top right, it reads CAMERA 02. Mike is seen on a chair, with his right foot slowly shaking.]
Woman: Number 27? (3x)
[In Steve Raglan's office...]
Steve Raglan: What is your deal, Mike? What are you, some kind of... hate case? You beat up a man in broad daylight; infront of his child.
Little Boy: Daddy!
Mike Schmidt: That was a mistake, um... it was a misunderstanding, I-I thought-
Steve Raglan: Just look at your employment record: Tire Zone, sales associate, 2 months, terminated. Media World, custodial staff, 1 week. It's like you're not trying here, yet you sit before me asking for help. I'm just trying to figure out who you are, Mr. Michael Sch-
Mike Schmidt: Hm?
Steve Raglan: Coffee?
Mike Schmidt: Sorry?
Steve Raglan: Uh, would you, would you like some... some coffee? I made some coffee.
Mike Schmidt: No.
Ness: Hey, welcome to Sparky's! Can I set you folks up with some appetizers?
Jane Schmidt: [gives the menu back to Ness] We're not eating.
Ness: Well that's no fun. You do realize that lunch is the most important meal of the day.
Jeff: I thought it was breakfast.
Ness: Some people say that, but... it's just a theory.
Jane Schmidt: Are you being paid by the word or can we have a minute?
[Ness leaves with the menu in hand.]
[Vanessa presses the Showtime buttom as the animatronics start performing "Talking in your Sleep" by the Romantics.]
Mike Schmidt: This is... this is...?
Vanessa Shelly: The best thing you've seen in your entire life? (the animatronics continue performing) Care to dance? (Bonnie's guitar malfunctions, stopping the performance)
(The supply closet opens by itself.)
Jeff: Hank?
[Bonnie the Rabbit comes out from the janitorial closet and slowly turns to Jeff. He drops his crowbar and runs away as the coins falls off from his bag. He rushes to the office and locks the door.]
[Aunt Jane sits on a chair as the camera pans to Golden Freddy right behind her. Abby is seen in her bed, & soon goes outside.]
Abby Schmidt: Freddy?
[Golden Freddy is seen where he was standing before. Abby steps closer as the blonde-haired ghost kid approaches her.]
Ghost Kid (blonde hair): Not Freddy. They’re all waiting for you. It’s time to go play. (Abby prepares to go to the pizzeria when she sees Aunt Jane lying on the floor) Silly Aunt Jane. She fell asleep.
Abby Schmidt: How do we get there?
[A taxi is seen as a taxi driver listens to music. Abby gets in.]
Taxi Driver: Where to, little lady? (notices a heavier object get in the taxi) What the- (turns rear mirror to see Golden Freddy, who freaks him out a little) Oh my goodness!!!
[The camera turns to Golden Freddy & Abby, who is laughing. Golden Freddy looks at her as she does it.]
Taxi Driver: Not cool. Why do I always get the weirdos? (starts up the taxi as they drive off)
[Chica leads Abby to the storage room with the Ella suit, picks her up and nearly puts her in the suit, almost springlocking her.]
[A figure in the Spring Bonnie suit arrives form the darkness. Mike tases him, but he laughs it off & pushes Mike. The scene cuts to Foxy stepping on one of the balls in the ball pit. Foxy inspects the ball pit for Abby, but his eyes widen as mechanical noises are heard. Abby screams as she is soon taken out of the ball pit by Vanessa.]
Abby Schmidt: Vanessa!
Vanessa Afton: It's okay.
Abby Schmidt: (sees Foxy, lying down on the floor, destroyed) Foxy!
[Foxy's eyes dim.]
Vanessa Afton: I need you to get somewhere safe so I can go help your brother, okay?
[The scene cuts back to Mike & the Yellow Rabbit.]
Yellow Rabbit: You couldn't just leave it alone, could you? (chuckles) Lucky me. First I kill your brother, now I kill you. Symmetry, my friend.
Mike Schmidt: Go to hell. (gets kicked unconscious)
Yellow Rabbit: Wake up, children. I have something for you to play with. This is gonna be so much fun. Little ones tell me you have a sister. She will love it here. You, however, are finished. (wipes knife as he says this) Farewell, Michael Schmidt.
Vanessa Afton: That's enough! Drop the knife. (holds out her gun pointing at the costumed man)
Yellow Rabbit: A little old for temper tantrums, aren't we, Vanessa?
Vanessa Afton: I'm not kidding, Dad.
William Afton: You may have forgotten your loyalties, but I assure you, they have not.
Abby Schmidt: Mike! Please wake up.
William Afton: (removes mask) Now, put that thing away & help me clean up the mess that you created!
Abby Schmidt: Please. Please, Mike. Please. No!
William Afton: (chuckles) We both know you're not gonna use a- (gets shot)
Vanessa Afton: The Yellow Rabbit, he controls them.
William Afton: (knocks off Vanessa's gun off her grasp) You had one job. One! Keep him in the dark & kill him if he got too close.
Vanessa Afton: That's 2 jobs.
[William holds her by the neck & pins her near an arcade machine. He then sees Abby finished with her drawing, running to the drawing wall to pin it.]
William Afton: Let go!
Vanessa Afton: I won't let you hurt her, too. (is stabbed by William) Dad.
[Mike runs to the power switch, as William approaches Abby pinning her drawing.]
William Afton: (starts approaching Abby) Hey, hey! (Abby pins her drawing to the wall as the power goes out in the pizzeria) What have you done?
[Mikes turns the power switch on as the spotlight focuses on Abby's drawing. The animatronics look at it & approach Afton.]
Abby Schmidt: They can see you now. They know what you did.
William Afton: (sees Foxy turn to him) Move!
[The spotlights shine on him as the animatronics surround him. Just then, Mike returns to the main area.]
Abby Schmidt: Mike!
William Afton: Look at you... look at the nasty things that you have become! Look at how small you are! How worthless you are! You are wretched, rotten little beasts! I made you!
[Cupcake launches at Afton, biting off part of the suit, trigerring the springlocks. Afton breathes nervously & grabs the Spring Bonnie mask.]
William Afton: (under his breath) I always come back...
[The animatronics look at Afton as he puts on the mask. The eyes light up as he collapses on the floor. A light fixture comes crashing down.]
Abby: What's happening?
Mike: The springlocks.
[More light fixtures start crashing down, too. Mike & Abby see Vanessa, limp & unconsicious. They leave the collapsing pizzeria with a wounded Vanessa in tow as the animatronics drag Afton away.]
[Afton is seen sitting in a closet. Golden Freddy's kid approaches him. Afton reaches out his hand to him, but he locks the door instead.]
("Five Nights at Freddy's" by The Living Tombstone plays)
[Cut to the taxi's headlights. The lights switch from "ON DUTY" to "OFF DUTY". The taxi driver is sleeping with a hat on his head. A knock is heard.]
Taxi Driver: Uh, uh. No, not today, sorry. (the door opens up) I said, read the si- (screams at the sight of the Balloon Boy figure)
("Five Nights at Freddy's" continues playing. Once it ends, the music transitions to "My Grandfather's Clock" by the Newton brothers.)

Drew that thing I was thinking about- now, what is this about Mae and Gregg and Cold and Contrarian parallels? (Looking at you very politely)
Him melting aomsksjdxkdoke. so cute <3 Augh. Thank you so much for the contrahero, I’m love them T^T
Now– onto the Gregg&Mae and Contra&Cold parallels– *cracks knuckles* (warning: long ramble ahead)
The most obvious similarities is how dismissive all these characters are of danger and death. One of the first things Mae does when she comes back to town is climb to the wire lines so that she can go over a fence. And before that, she almost got crushed by some tree trunks and this is her reaction:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And on your first encounter (and Mae’s reencounter) with Gregg, those two easily fall back into a familiar bit: listing off horrible things that could’ve happened to the other one, seemingly trying to one-up each other in tragedy levels (that ‘too bad…’ game). To these two, danger, risk of death and injury, it’s all entertainment. Something fun to do with your closest friend. Each of Gregg’s hang out is a dangerous and illegal activity that Mae is happy to go along with (smashing lightbulbs with bats, firing a crossbow on a statue or birds, the knife fight, stealing an animatronic, etc, etc, etc).
Just from this, you can already see where the parallels start. Much like Mae and Gregg, Cold and Contrarian also don’t really care for danger, not really believing consequences are a thing, and going along with whatever would be the most fun.
There’s a very crucial difference though, and it’s that Mae and Gregg are actual people that grew up in a community full of other people; and I think looking into their character arcs more thoroughly could really help to see how Contra and Cold could develop in the real world, or even the kinda people they could be if they were always humans.
First, Gregg:
When you first meet him in Snack Falcon, he’s incredibly energetic and excited to see Mae, happy stimming, screaming, and immediately deciding they need to do a band practice. Those are the first things we learn about Gregg: energetic, impulsive, has a bit of a morbid humor, and really missed Mae. And after meeting with the rest of the band, Bea and Angus, he’s apparently the only one there who missed Mae; both Angus and Bea seem more bemused than enthusiastic, and Casey (someone both Mae and Gregg mention fondly) is nowhere to be found.
That immediately presents Gregg as Mae’s main support, besides her parents, back in Possum Springs, since everyone in town seems to dislike and distrust her for one thing or another she did in the past, but Gregg never seem to care. He’s on the same wavelength as Mae, and because of that, Mae thinks fondly of him. In the midst of all the mess that was dropping out of college and going back home, hanging out with Gregg, doing stupid and illegal shit is a reliable, and maybe even cathartic, source of comfort.
At least– that’s what Mae was hoping for. But Gregg is planning to move out with his boyfriend, Angus, sometime in the future.
And when you think about it– that’s perfectly fair. Gregg is a queer man, heavily implied to be neurodivergent (bipolar is mentioned at one point in the game), living in a conservative small town; of course he’d want to leave as soon as he could. And it’s not like it’s easy for him either, he knows what kind struggles they’ll run it, Possum Springs may suck, but it’s familiar and where everyone he knows is. But he HAS to go, it’s the only way he can grow. (Let’s shelf this for later for now).
And not only that, but much like Mae, Gregg’s also dealing with his own mental issues.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
With some more prodding from Mae, we learn that Gregg and Angus have been arguing, and it’s really heaving on Gregg, making him feel like he’s not good enough. Paraphrasing his own words– “Maybe I’m inconsiderate. Maybe I’m not good. I’m just parking lot trash. I’ve known it all along; I’ve got no future if it was just me.”
And that’s what he’s scared of. Being with Angus gave him hope and a future to look forward to, when before, he was most likely just trudging along and whatever happens, happens, much like Mae is doing for the entire game. But now, he has a future, and someone he cares for. And he’s terrified of screwing it up, of losting the one thing, failing the one person he so badly wants to do right by (*gestures vaguely towards ContraHero*).
And Mae doesn’t really understand. She doesn’t know what it is like to have something to worry about, or a future to prepare for. She went to college, yes, but her heart was never in it, she only went along with what her parents wanted and as soon as it got too bad for her to handle, she dipped and went back to Possum Springs, where everythings more simple. Except, it isn’t anymore. Bea hates her, her parents are disappointed in hee, Gregg will be moving out soon, and everyone remembers what she did to that kid in the softball game.
Speaking of–
Let’s talk about Mae’s reputation in the town.
Tumblr media
(sounds familiar........ 🤔)
We immediately catch up that Mae was a troublemaker in town by how everyone talks to her. Her aunt mall cop already sounds exhausted (if unsurprised) after seeing that Mae jumped over the fence instead of going the longer way around to the town’s entrance. Mae is known for stealing, vandalizing, causing trouble to the elders, and, more predominantly, of sending a kid to the hospital back in high school (where the ‘killer’ nickname came from). That last one is treated as one of the main mysteries from Mae’s past, together with the reason she dropped out of college. No one in town, and we, the player, really know why she did that, and Lori M (the rat girl up there^) mention their mothers warning kids to stay away from her in case she snaps again.
Mae, for the most part, acts unaffected by this, and seems to embrace her troublemaker status; in a confrontation with an old man that was directly affected by Mae’s behavior in the past, you have the option to double down and insult him back, basically confirming his statement about how Mae hasn’t changed, and is still just the same kid that’s always searching for trouble.
And, yeah, during the day, with other people around, Mae acts like it doesn’t affect her, says she enjoys being seen as a miscreant, and plays into what everyone expects of her. But alone? There’s this very poignant scene where Mae is standing in front of a mirror, preparing for a party, where all her insecurities and self-consciousness comes to light:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(note: the other option you can choose in the second pic is: “You don’t like people. Clearly.”)
We see that not only is Mae self-conscious about her appearance, she DOES care about what people think. She craves connection and a community, that’s why she came back to Possum Springs, but for some reason, it seems like she just can’t hold on to a relationship for long before fucking up.
She’s impulsive, doesn’t have much of a filter, and struggles to understand other people’s perspectives. We see that clearly with Bea. It was Bea’s dream to go to college, but because of personal issues, she can’t; and Mae, someone who GOT that chance, simply threw it all away and dismissed it as ‘college just wasn’t for me’ upon coming back, and expects everything to be as it always was.
Mae isn’t an understanding person. She tries, and she really wants to help the people around her, but she just isn’t very good at understanding people, and will often run her mouth at the worst moments. Bea’s hangouts has some of the best (or worst, ig) examples of that. I’m not gonna get too deep into what happens, but, uhm. It gets BAD, and those moments can make you really unsympathetic towards Mae; but you gotta respect this game for not pulling its punches when showing off its protagonist’s worst traits (and honestly, it made me love Mae all the more, she’s so beautifully flawed).
You can see the familiarities to Cold? Struggle with understanding others, impulsive decisions made with the main goal of entertaining yourself, no sense of danger, disregard of own life, no filter– the main difference is that Mae is much more emotional and prone to snapping, but I feel like their core struggles are very similar.
I could go more into how Mae’s derealization is also very similar to how Cold views the world, but while Cold embraces that feeling as a reason to why you can disregard pain and consequences, that thought terrifies Mae and the kind of person that makes her (it doesn’t make her a bad person, btw, she’s mentally ill and traumatized, but ‘bad person’ is what she internalizes after being told so for so long), but anyway aaaaaaaaahhhhhh this got so long and pretty rambly akaksjsmsjd)djsjdj. Hopefully it made sense though? This has been turning around in my head for days now, glad to finally put it out.

i : the lovers’ mask
A TALE CALLED THE MOON’S ANGUISH THAT HAS CIRCULATED ANCHORAGE FOR THE PAST SEVERAL DECADES HAS PROMPTED SOME YOUNG LOVERS TO EXCHANGE MASKS AS A PROMISE OF DEVOTION. WHAT DESIGN WOULD MUSE THEORETICALLY THINK FITS THEM?
Compared to most, Mei's could possibly seem quite...plain. But after a life where she had been passed around and given so much attention that she didn't ask for, that she doesn't mind, even prefers many times, to melt into the background. So, her mask would probably be a classic print that can be appreciated but doesn't stand out amongst a crowd.
SOME MIGHT CONSIDER THEM LEADING A DOUBLE LIFE IF THEY KNEW ABOUT…
exactly where she came from and how many people were looking for her, especially friends and family, that she still loves but hasn't reached out to since disappearing.
WHAT WOULD BE THEIR OWN DEAL BREAKER IN A RELATIONSHIP? WOULD THEY DIE FOR LOVE OR KILL FOR MONEY?
Moving too quickly, pressuring in certain aspects of a relationship, or just being insensitive to the many particular ways she has chosen to live her life would all be dealbreakers. It's not that she isn't opposed to her partner being excited about the relationship and wanting to show the world, but they would also have to understand her restrictions when it comes to receiving attention.
THEY ONLY HAVE ENOUGH CHANGE FOR ONE CALL AT THE PHONEBOOTH, & SOMEONE WITH GLARING RED EYES & A SPATULA IS STANDING ACROSS THE STREET. WHO WILL THEY CALL?
Meisha. Who else had protected her in her life? It seemed like an easy choice.
ii : the zeigeist of the ‘90s
THEIR FAVORITE SLASHER FILM IS (IF APPLICABLE)…
Unforgiven (1992), which isn't entirely a slasher, but there's enough death in it.
IN THEIR FREE TIME, THEY ENJOY GOING OUT AND…
coming right back in. Mei isn't one who enjoys going out very often and would prefer to spend her time inside, sketching, painting, or reading. She isn't a stranger to taking long walks on her own, reclaiming the activity.
A FASHION FAD OF THE TIMES THEY ADORE THAT THEIR FRIENDS WOULD DESPISE IS…
cargo pants.
HOW OFTEN DO THEY ORDER DELIVERY FROM PEPPY’S PIZZERIA? HAVE THEY EVER SEEN THE WALLS OOZE GREEN SLIME IN THE PIZZERIA OR THE ANIMATRONICS MOVE ON THEIR OWN DURING THEIR TIME IN ANCHORAGE?
Ordering delivery food is one of her favorite ways to actually get a meal in her stomach, other than nights when the roomies all cook together. Even though Mei doesn't really have the money to pay the extra delivery fee and tip, she'll order it instead of picking it up herself, so she doesn't recall seeing anything along those lines.
WHEN THEY BELIEVED IN CHRISTMAS, WERE THEY TOLD KRAMPUS WOULD PAY THEM A VISIT FOR BEING ON THE NAUGHTY LIST?
Her family celebrated a more capitalist version of Christmas rather than a religious one. She isn't sure her parents ever knew about Krampus, but she's sure one of her teenage friends probably made some kind of joke at the time when they were all getting into trouble.
WHAT TALL TALE OR SUPERSTITION WERE THEY TOLD AS A CHILD THAT STILL GIVES THEM THE HEEBIE JEEBIES?
Mei isn't sure she remembers too many superstitions from when she was a child; there's been a lot of her younger years that seemed to be hard to remember besides the bigger events with her family.
iii : the curse of the spider
ARE THERE FAMILY SECRETS OR SO-CALLED CURSES THAT HAUNT THEM? ONES THAT ARE KNOWN PUBLICLY OR FOLLOW THEM FIGURATIVELY?
Mei wouldn't be surprised if she's somehow cursed, but it doesn't stem from her family. If anything, maybe she was the curse on them. Mei hasn't changed her name, but the case of her doing missing isn't really know outside of her hometown. She would be shocked if anyone outside of those who regular true crime forums would have ever heard a mention of her case, much less all the way in Alaska. Still, the thought of one day being recognized, even if she barely looked like the same person, haunts her.
WHICH OF THE SEVEN SINS WOULD CORRUPT THEIR MORALS?
Possibly sloth. She doesn't really have any longterm plans or goals she is working towards, and she's not sure she would leave the RV very often if it weren't for her job or Meisha inviting her out.
THE WORLD REMAINS THE SAME FOR DECADES NOW. IS IGNORANCE BLISS? OR IS THERE THE SHAKY SENSE SOMETHING IS AMISS THAT CAN’T BE IGNORED?
It seems like something Mei shouldn't go sticking her nose in, if she's being honest. There is no reason for her to get herself in trouble or possibly bring more attention to herself by asking around. So ignorance is an strategized decision.
DREAMS ARE OFTEN INFLUENCED BY THE SUBCONSCIOUS & SOMETIMES DISTORTED. IN THEIR DEEPEST, DARKEST NIGHTMARES, HOW DO THEY VIEW THEMSELVES?
As unworthy of ever getting her old life back. She didn't choose what happened, but there were times where it did feel like her actions lead to it happening when one looked at the bigger picture. Getting back in contact with anyone who knew her back then also meant having to come to terms with the pain of knowing her brought to them, and she's not sure she is, or will ever be, ready for that.
iv : the crooked frame
WHAT IS THEIR DEATH WISH ? MIROIRS ONLY (BASTARDS GANG INCLUDED): THE PERFECT CRIME WAS CONSTRUCTED & SOMEONE ELSE TOOK THEIR PLACE. HOW DID THEY ORIGINALLY DIE?
N/A.
MUSE COULDN’T BE THE ONE BEHIND THE TUNNEL OF LOVE OUTAGE BECAUSE WHEN THE POWER WENT OUT, THEY WERE…
at the RV, reading a horror novel as she felt no strong feelings towards celebrating the holiday.
WHAT WOULD THEY CONSIDER THEIR CALLING CARD (I.E. WHAT SYMBOLS, PERSONAL MEMENTOS, ETC. DO THEY PERCEIVE AS REPRESENTATIVE OF THEMSELVES)?
Candles with fall-themed scents, well-loved novels with dog-eared pages, and oversized flannels that are soft to the touch.
THOSE WITH INTERMEDIATE TECHNICAL SKILLS HAVE USED CRACKS & VPNS TO IMPROVE THE INTERNET CONNECTION, BUT ANYTHING POST-DATING THE 1990S IS ONLY ACCESSIBLE THROUGH THE DARK WEB. HAS MUSE EVER ACCESSED THE DARK WEB? HAVE THEY USED IT FOR ANY NEFARIOUS MEANS OR TO PURCHASE SERVICES?
Mei isn't too knowledgable about technology, especially from the years she had it kept away from her. Even though she's heard mentions of the dark web being untraceable, there's still the fear that if she does get on it, she'll somehow being tracked without her knowledge.

WIP Wednesday - 1/4/2023
IT'S TECHNICALLY WEDNESDAY adsfkjdsfhj I am so tired
SO uhhh I've been yet again working on nothing at all that I'm SUPPOSED to be working on (like fluffy wintery prompts and my freaking ESO fic ahhh), but apparently I just couldn't help myself and I'm writing a follow-up to my last DCA drabble. It is. it is very much out of hand. as in at least 3x longer than I ever intended and it's still going. girl help. girl i am drowning. girl--
So anyway here's a snippet that I liked so far! Reader is at their friend Tim's house to babysit his kids.
She's obviously a bit taken aback; a bank manager is certainly not as used to dealing with animatronics as you (and now Tim) are, and Sun can already be a bit...much. You step forward ahead of Sun to put some space between them. "Sun, this is Laura."
"Sun?" she asks, a bit incredulous. Sun steps inside and pulls his hood down, rays springing out. "...ahh. Okay. I see it."
Tim stifles a snicker and shuts the door behind Sun. "Girls! The babysitters are here!"
There's a soft pitter-patter of rushing feet before Avery stops sharp at the threshold of the living room, Bailey quickly joining her at her side, as they both gaze up (up, up) at Sun. "...whoa."
He gasps, theatrically loud, and immediately bends over, instinctively trying to drop the height difference between them. "Hiiii!" he crows, waving enthusiastically. "Heeello, new friends!"
"What happened to your face?" Bailey asks abruptly, pointing to the gap where his melted rays should be. You tense and go to respond, but Sun is faster, instantly pulling himself up with a twirl, nearly ballerina-like.
"Dramatic pirate battle!" he exclaims, suddenly leaping into a swashbuckling pose. You're pretty sure this might be one of his old theater stories he sometimes mocked up for the daycare kids. "They took one with their cutlass and another lost to the sharks! But it's a small price to pay, I fought my way out and took back my ship from the filthy scoundrels!"
Bailey looks confused, studying him over. "There was a fire, he was hurt," Tim answers softly, honest but a little firm, obviously trying to convey the gravity of that to her. Bailey gasps and covers her mouth.
"I'm sorry," she yelps suddenly.
"Always listen to your parent's instructions when using the stove!" Sun chirrups, bright and unbothered.
Some babysitting hijinks happen. At least I presume they do, that part isn't written yet. :P But later on in the same fic we'll finally get to see another familiar face...
Moon always hated distractions at naptime, so you'll have to play this carefully. "Moony," you try, and this time his faceplate cocks sharply to the right as he takes a bounding step forward. He's at the end of the bed now, too close, much, much too close. You swallow hard and try again. "Their daddy's got to know we put them to bed now. So, uh. So he doesn't wake them up when he gets home. I need to text him so he knows to be quiet." There's no response, so you try again, hoping your intent is clear and your shaking voice does not betray you. "I'm gonna get my phone out now, okay?"
There's a long pause, before he finally hisses out, "Sleeeeeep." You slowly, agonizingly slowly pull your phone from the pocket of your pants and type the quickest text you've ever sent in your life.
Power outage. Put girls to bed. Moon is here. 🔦🔦
You pray it'll be enough to get your point across but vague enough that it won't raise suspicion if Moon decides to read it. "There," you announce, and apparently you didn't have to worry about Moon reading it, as no sooner is the word out of your mouth than Moon grabs your phone crunched between two fingers and tosses it off somewhere in the bedroom.
"Lights off," he tells you. He clearly permitted the one text, but that's obviously going to be your final warning.

Heyyy, can you write something for michael afton? like the reader comforting him after an awful nightmare? :))
Sure thing ^_^
Tumblr media
In this fic, the timeline is at the beginning of SL / Before Night 1 begin
Tumblr media
Genre: Fluff, angst?
Reader comforting Michael
Pronouns: They/Them
CW: Mention of Blood, Mention of past trauma, Michael feeling guilty from his past action
Tumblr media
Nightmares are normal thing everyone deal with, but what if that nightmare trigger you.
Michael rarely have nightmares ever since the two of you share the same bed but when he do you were always there to comfort him like now but . . .
.
. . .
. . . . . .
. . . . . . . . .
"Hey guys, I think the little man said he wanted to give Fredbear a big kiss"
One of the four young teen said as they carry a small young child
"NO!"
The young boy yelled in complete fear as he cried in their arms
"On THREE! One. . . Two. . . Three!"
On three they putted the child head in the animatronic mouth, the child was struggling and was crying more at that point
The four teens just stood their laughing at the child, thinking it as a harmless prank, unknowingly for them the springlock would malfunction and ended up crushing the little boy head.
Blood
Blood was almost everywhere even at their faces, even at his face
Then a loud yell was heard
Michael jolt up as he was crying, it that dream again
That dream is really taking a toll on his mental health, he was quietly crying as he was trying not to wake you up but you were a light sleeper so you slowly woke up as you hear suppress sobbing, you immediately know what happen as you slowly sit up and gently snake your arms around him
He flinch at the sudden contact but calm down when he saw it was you
"Sorry, did I woke you up?"
He softly ask, you shake your head as you motion him to lay down again
He comply and lay down again as you stand up, he was confuse
"I'm getting you a glass of water, wait here"
He sit up but before he could say anything you already left. You come back again pretty fast as you hand him the glass of water and he drank it
He knew he already bother you by waking you up so he drank it then placed the glass at the nightstand by your shared bed
You went back to bed as you open your arms when you laid down
"Cuddle"
You simply said as he lay down in your embraces, you being the big spoon. You were now gently playing his hair waiting for a while before asking
"Another nightmare?"
He just nod as he hold you tightly
"Do you wanna talk about it?"
He didn't respond as you assume it must be that dream again, this wasn't the first time he suffered from that nightmare
You two already talked about it before and you always comfort him and told him he shouldn't be too hard on himself
"You don't have to if your not comfortable talking about it.
He hum and nuzzle his face at your shoulder melting at your embrace
You gotta admit it that he's really cute when he melt in your touch, smiling at the thought of it
"Just you know I'm hear and all ears open when you needed, okay?
And I'm sure Evan doesn't want you to suffer from you guilt, he already forgave you"
You kiss his forehead then you proceed to softly mumble comforting words at him as you stroke his head, he slowly loose his tight embrace, you took this as he finally calm down
Nuzzling against him you continue softly whispering comforting words at him as you gently caressing his head until he peacefully asleep
When you confirm he's already peacefully asleep you kissed him again before falling asleep aswell
Tumblr media
This is the best I can do, I'm really not sure what or how to comfort someone who had a terrible nightmare. I just wrote what I would do in this kind of situation.
Also thank you for making a request 😊

Cold Hands, Warm Chassis (Pt1) - Sun/Moon x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
(Part #2)  (Part #3)
Summary: On a particularly snowy day, you reflect on your time working at the Pizza Plex. Unsurprisingly, thoughts of a certain animatronic float into your head. A very important question makes itself known: have they ever even SEEN snow?! (This is part 1 of ?)
Warnings: None, just a big ol’ pile of fluff. This fic is gender-neutral and I use he/they pronouns for Sun and Moon!
Word Count: 3327
A/N: I couldn’t get this silly little scenario out of my head. It’s been super snowy these past few days, so I thought it would be nice to explore the concept with my favorite animatronic! I hope you enjoy. I literally have 0 followers so I’m really hoping it gets to my people! Lemme know if you want part 2. ⚙️
———————————————————
It had been snowing heavily for the past hour or so, give or take. Wordlessly you watch the flakes fall from your kitchen window. They’ve really been piling up, you think, because the potted plant on your neighbor’s porch is covered in a few inches of snow. The sight of it makes you chuckle. The storm was one that came on quickly. No one was ready for it. Well, maybe that’s a lie. Everyone knew about it. They were just a bit too keen on digging their heels against the Winter season.
You were ecstatic about the wintery surprise you had woken up to. A chime from your phone signaled a very curt email from the Plex, telling all employees not to come in. Outlined in red a few times was the phrase UNDER NO CIRMUNSTANCES MAY YOU ATTEMPT TO COME IN TO WORK. You skimmed the rest of the message, finding a lot of legal jargon about potential lawsuits. They were worried about someone slipping on ice outside of the building. I guess it made sense, the weather was pretty dangerous today.
A gust of wind pushes against the window you’re staring out of. Flakes of snow stick to the pane for the briefest of moments before melting away. Slithers of water trickle down to form tiny icicles against the flowerbox outside. Another gust has you pulling at the blanket thrown around your shoulders. It’s not cold inside, far from it. But the way the wind whistles against the glass sends a shiver down your spine. Hopefully the storm would cease as quickly as it had come. Your proclivity to admire snow was fun at first… but knowing the storm was still raging made your heart sink a little. Watching snowfall was one thing. Having to deal with the aftermath was a whole other beast. Shoveling at odd hours of the night was NOT your idea of fun.
You hum, reaching for your phone to check the forecast. Your weather app says the storm will conclude by 5pm, with temperatures rarely dipping below 30 degrees. It was also projected to give you over a foot of snow. You had hoped it would warm up a bit more to allow for some of it to melt off on it’s own. Wishful thinking for someone so enamored by snow. You close out of the app and check the time. It’s only 10am! You still have the rest of the day to bask in the glory of your day off work.
With a smile you set about making a quick breakfast. You scarf it down as fast as you can, eager to settle onto your couch for a long day of binge-watching your favorite TV shows. As you’re finishing your food, and before you even get to the couch, a pang of guilt wrenches through your chest. You were going to miss the animatronics in the Plex. Especially the one you worked the most with. Before you know it you’re lost in thought, imagining the various reactions they must be having to the closure.
You rest your head against your palm, sighing out of your nose. Contemplative thoughts start to wander away from the excitement of your TV shows. Now all you could think about was your favorite ball of energy stuck inside the Plex. Did they get to have snow days too? Were they allowed to go outside, or wander the Plex while it was closed? It was probably possible, seeing as every animatronic had a level 10 security clearance. Nothing was really off-limits to them. You then thought about the weather. Did they ever get to play in the snow? Had they ever even seen snow? Before you know it you’re huffing in frustration. Your brow furrows, a scowl on your lips. Of course they’ve seen snow! Right? I mean, everyone has to have seen it in person at least ONCE in their life time! It would be such a shame if they’d never experienced snow before. Would it be weird to ask them about it?
Your phone chimes, knocking you from your internal rambling monologue. When the screen lights up, so too do your eyes. It was a message from Sun! Tapping on the Fazbear Messaging app, you stifle a laugh at what you see. It’s a picture of a messy floor with crayons, markers, glitter glue, and a suspiciously large bag of googley-eyes lying about. In the center of the shot is where you imagine a picture would be. However, it’s just a smudge of gray and yellow. You laugh again, typing a response to your silly coworker.
Hey Sun! You’re hanging out in your room today huh? Remember what I showed you a few days ago… try not to put your finger OVER the camera! I’m sure whatever you’re sending me is a masterpiece though!
As soon as you hit send, another message comes through.
HIYAH SUNBEAM!!! I WAS SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO—
The message cuts off, seemingly because Sun had put too many “so’s” in a row for the system to keep up with. You were lucky to have the internal communications system on your personal phone. It had just happened. One moment you were hanging out with Sun, the next he was asking you if you’d want to talk outside of work. A brief conversation later, and you had both agreed that would be REALLY cool. A tense five minutes hiding in the supply closet with your phone plugged into the back of Sun’s head was all it took. He had the app installed in no time and with that, you were on your way to becoming best friends. Guests were prohibited from accessing the animatronic’s communication channel after hours. Sun had made the not-so-subtle hint that you were NOT in fact a guest. Rather, you were a worker who might someday need to contact him in case of an emergency. Or maybe HE would need to contact YOU in the event of an emergency. So far the emergencies had consisted of Sun asking for more glitter glue, late night rants about your favorite colors, and doodles that Sun drew for you in his free time.
You were certain you’d be an annoyance and a bother. You were a bit anxious when he pushed you to install the app so you could keep in touch. In reality, Sun was just as happy to have someone to talk to after hours. Even if it meant Moon would also have access to you. Though in all honesty, you had had some really deep and sometimes personal talks with him. You had grown too attached to the two of them and now you were in it for the long haul. Nothing would ever stop you from leaving Sun and Moon.
Another ping rushes through the chat, a garble of more “so’s” before his initial message finishes:
SO SO SO SO SOOOOOO SAD TO SEE THE NEWS THAT THE MEGA PIZZA PLEX IS CLOSED TODAY! NOW I CAN’T SEE MY FAVORITE PERSON EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER— yup it just keeps repeating over and over. Once the system processed the million evers, a new picture swishes through. It’s a crudely scribbled drawing of you, Sun, and Moon. They’re on each side of you, and you’re all holding hands. Googley-eyes adorn each face, and Sun made extra sure to add lots of glitter and sparkles to your outfit to highlight your importance in the piece. The sight of it made you tear up a little bit. You really missed them.
OOPS, SORRY SUNBEAM I FORGOT!!! I RE-TOOK THE PICTURE SO NOW YOU CAN SEE HOW AWESOME YOU LOOK!!! MOON SAYS I USED TOO MANY SPARKLES BUT I THINK IT’S PERFECT!!!
You shake your head, smiling as you type up your response.
WOW! I love that picture Sun, it’s so nice! When I see you again, I’ll be sure to take it off your hands. I want to hang it up in my room! Tell Moon I think it looks perfect. If he wants to make me a picture with less sparkles, be my guest haha.
You hover your thumb over send, contemplating whether or not to cut to the chase. With nothing else to lose, you decide to ask them up front.
By the way… I have a question for you. Have either of you ever seen snow?
There is a considerable pause in the chat. You see that he’s typing, but after a while it stops. Maybe the question caught him off guard, or maybe Moon had switched in and was trying to figure out how to answer. When you were about to turn your attention back to the falling snow, he finally answers you.
WHY, YES, OF COURSE WE’VE SEEN SNOW!!! WE’VE SEEN SNOW IN BOOKS, AND MOVIES, AND OOH OOH WE’VE SEEN SNOW ON THE CHILDREN’S BOOTS WHEN THEY COME INSIDE TO PLAY!!! YES YES!!!
Oh no. No no no! That was not the answer you had hoped for. Unfortunately however, it had been the answer you were expecting out of him. You frown, picking absently at the blanket over your shoulders. An idea crosses your mind. A stupid and thoroughly reckless one… and you instantly resolve to follow through with it. You throw your blanket over the back of the chair and rush into your bedroom to change. Your phone pings a few more times, but you couldn’t care less what Sun was babbling about right now. This was really important to you. Deep down you knew if this worked, and you stuck to your gut, Sun would agree with you. After a few minutes of tearing through your laundry for the warmest clothing you have, you suit up. A few days ago you had found the cutest Sun and Moon themed scarf in the giftshop. There was no question, you just HAD to snatch it up. The middle section was yellow and red, striped just like Sun’s pants. The ends were a dark blue and studded with glow-in-the-dark stars like Moon’s. They were sure to love it!
You head straight into your kitchen after wrapping the scarf around your neck. While you were busy wrangling some socks on, another idea had struck you. An idea to bring a little something extra to enjoy with Sun and Moon. A special surprise for your closest friends! In your kitchen you search around for it. It took some digging, but you managed to find what you were looking for. The cylinder had been shoved into the back of a cupboard over your oven. Pocketing it, you head for your door. Today would be the day Sun and Moon get to experience SNOW! For real this time.
————————— The walk over to the complex was not as bad as you thought it was going to be. Sand trucks and sidewalk shovelers had already made a pretty decent dent in the snow. It was nice to have set out early too, since the snow was picking up every second you were out in it. By the time you crossed the parking lot of the Plex, your fingers were numb and your nose felt like it was about to fall off. You shuffled over to the security doors at the side of the building, trying your best to get out of the wind. Sucking in a breath for courage, you fish your phone from your pocket. Hastily you pull off one of your gloves to snap a quick picture of yourself next to the door. You roll your eyes playfully at the slew of messages Sun had sent while you were on your way over. Most were extra pictures of the doodles, plus promises to give you lots of hugs tomorrow when the snow had stopped. When you sent the picture to him, mere seconds ticked by before you heard a buzz and a loud click from within the doorframe. You smirk, pushing through the now unlocked door and into the warmth of the plex.
This specific door took you through a bakery with a giant pink cupcake. You always cringed at it’s glowing eyes and ever-hungry stare. Whoever was in charge of designing that thing was sure to have been a little weird. You avert your eyes and slink your way towards the daycare. Your phone is chiming like crazy, and you’re sure Sun is giving you a lecture about stopping by unannounced in the middle of a storm. The neon lights and low tinkling music of the daycare lull you into a sense of giddiness. You had a soft spot for Sun and Moon. Probably one that was a bit too big for your own good.
Arriving at the slide, you take a deep breath and launch yourself down and into the ball pit below. In a flash Sun has his arms wrapped around you and he’s jumping from one foot to the other. You feel his chest heat up as he attempts to thaw you out.
“SUNBEAAAAAAM! What are you DOING here? I mean… I am SO SO SO SO SO very happy to see you, but that was a VERY DANGEROUS thing you just did! You could have gotten frozen into a popsicle outside. Or WORSE… CAUGHT! W-what were you thinking!?”
You struggle in his arms to no avail, swatting at his shoulders. The lingering snow on your jacket and hat starts to melt. The water rolls off of you and onto his chest. The added warmth is heavenly, but you don’t want to make a mess.
“Easy Sunny! I thought you looked a little lonely, so I wanted to stop by and say hello! Now please put me on solid ground, I’m getting you all wet!”
He hesitates for a moment, pulling you away enough to give you a good once-over. He notices your new scarf, letting out a soft gasp. You smile, patting his shoulder to break him of his stupor. Seemingly satisfied, he places you carefully onto the squishy matting underneath you. He stops moving, head tilted slightly. You knew this was his I’m waiting for a good explanation look. You snort, crossing your arms and shooting him the same look right back.
“Okay okay! I came over because I wanted to be the one to let you see snow for the first time! What do you say? Wanna go play in the snow for a bit? If you do… I have a surprise for afterwards!”
He perks up, though only slightly. A sway returns to his joints as he stares you down. You can tell he’s arguing with himself and Moon at the same time in there. If his eyes could narrow, they’d be squinting at you right now. He sighs, the sound of it crackling through his voicebox. His cheery tone from earlier is replaced with a cooler, more mature one.
“I dunno… I haven’t left the daycare in a long time,” he pauses again, seemingly to gather his thoughts, “Ugh okay fine… I haven’t left the daycare. NEVER EVER. Moon says he’s left the daycare lots of times but he’s never seen snow either. Like, real life snow.” He begins to fidget with his fingers, squeezing his thumbs idly. He was nervous, that much was obvious. Though what about you weren’t quite sure. When he reaches out to play with the ends of your new scarf, you attempt to soothe his worries.
“That’s okay Sunny! What if we started with baby steps, huh? We walk as far as the bakery and see how you’re feeling. I wont make you do anything you’re not comfortable with. Never forget that.” You inch forward, patting his chest a couple of times. He sighs again, hopelessly falling for your charms. They’ve both always had a hard time saying no to you about anything. Sun knows deep down he needs to push his boundaries every once and a while. His programming tells him it’s a perfectly normal thing to do for humans. So why shouldn’t he also adhere to that?
He sighs one more time, dropping the edge of your scarf as his rays jitter. “O…okay! We c-can try to leave the day… the daycare! But I have ONE request, yes, ONE REQUEST!” The volume of his outburst startles you. With a nod you urge him to continue. “I… we… would like you to hold our uh… our HAND THE WHOLE TIME! YES YES! IT WILL MAKE ME… US… FEEL MUCH BET—”
You don’t let him finish. Linking your fingers together, you tug a couple of times as you lead him towards the door. He sputters, squeezing your hand a little too tightly back. Right before you breach the big wooden doorway, he seizes up.
“M… MAYBE WE SHOULD COLOR FIRST! OR…OR…”
His rays twitch as he whips his head around for something else to focus on. You loosen your grip on his hand, which he immediately notices.
“FINE, OKAY OKAY! DON’T LET GO!!! I’m just a little…bit…” He stops talking again. While he stands there motionless, you push the door all the way open. He makes no move to continue, so you wait. Now you’re standing just beyond the doorway. You give his hand a squeeze, giving him the biggest smile you can muster. There’s no second-guessing, no going back! Moon barks at Sun to keep moving and he complies. One step. Two steps. Three steps… and he’s out! You squeal in glee, clapping your hands together as best you can with Sun still holding one of them.
“You did it Sunny! You too Moon, good job! You’re so brave, my big brave boys!” You give them another big grin, and his cheeks turn just a shade darker. He turns away from you to shut the doors, happy to have an excuse to hide his face. Once they’ve creaked closed, you continue slowly past the tables and special party rooms towards the entryway. Surprisingly he doesn’t protest any further. In fact, he seems to be vibrating with excitement as you lead him through the complex and back towards the bakery. It would be much easier to take him outside through the side doors. Less interaction and cameras on that side of the Plex.
The only sound is the whirring of Sun’s chassis and the jingle of his bells. You watch him out of the corner of your eye. Everything is new to him, so it’s no surprise that his head is spinning in every direction imaginable. He stares at posters on the walls, ogles some of the big statues in the hallway, and points excitedly at a few plants scattered about. You nod along with his excitement, patiently indulging his sense of wonder past the doors of the daycare. When you meander back into the bakery, staring eye to eye with the big creepy cupcake, you have a sudden realization.
“Wait… Sun, you’re waterproof right? Like, if you went outside with me for a minute, you’d be okay… right?!” You halt in your tracks, looking up into the whites of his eyes. He stops too, giggling at you.
“Welllll of COURSE I am! I work with kids all day, and lemme tell ya… they’re not the driest of creatures! No no! They spill lots of stuff on me. And I always seem to be fine!” He giggles a bit more, squeezing your hand in his. You groan, rolling your eyes.
“Good! I was just making sure. I can’t have you collapsing or short-circuiting on me!” You laugh with him, continuing through the bakery. You slow down to check in with him on his comfort level, but he doesn’t seem to be stopping. He walks straight towards the security door in the back. Right before you can ask him if he’s sure he’s ready, he’s pushing the door open. Your eyes widen as he skips through the doorway and into the winter wonderland with you in tow.

I hope its ok to come in here with this.. but do you think Tommy would enjoy watching movies or reading books? What kind do you think he'd like best?
So sorry this took so long, I was out all day and didn’t have Internet in the woods 😂 but you can always ask me stuff like this! I love it so much 🥺
Tumblr media
I think Thomas would absolutely adore books. He’d like movies in a different way though. When it comes to books, I can imagine little Tommy going to his version of the Scholastic book fair and coming home and begging miss Mae for a few dollars to get a book he saw. Now of course Hoyt might make fun of him, but this is just another of those things Thomas learns to ignore. I think he’s probably start with non fiction. Thomas is a smart boy, and if he has his mind set to something her could learn so quickly. I think he’d enjoy learning when it’s at his own pace, and there’s no expectations.
I can imagine him picking up a book on farm animals and telling Luda all about what he learned when he’s finished reading. He’d be so excited to get his second book, and spend anytime he’s not working on the farm, at the library. He probably has a deal with one of the librarians and he just slips in the back and hides in his own little corner. Thomas didn’t even know you could take the books out of the library at first and probably would rush after school to get there before they close and cramp as much reading as he can. Then he’d mentally take an image of which page he was on, and come back to finish it the next day.
Now I think he probably wouldn’t understand the joys of fixture until the reader comes along. He probably met them reading at the library and was interested in the book they were reading, looking so concentrated. When they explain that the whole stories made up, he wouldn’t quite understand the allure at first. But as he listens to how passionately they retell the story, Thomas would be hooked. He’d try reading a few Romance or Sci-Fi novels on his own, just so he could write little notes to share with the reader about what he thought. They’d teach him how to annotate his books.
Poor Thomas is probably so confused the first time he sees one of their personal books and it’s got scribbles and highlights all over it. He’d be even more confused if they gifted it to him. But his favourite thing when it comes to fiction, is hearing them read it to him. He would very much enjoy audio books, but he’s a little biased when it comes to the readers version 🥺
Now when it comes to movies, I feel that’s also I thing Thomas wouldn’t really come across on his own. I don’t think he’d like them nearly as much as books, at least not watching them on his own. But with his new friend… Thomas will watch any and everything. I don’t think he’d be that found if Slashers and horror, not really wanting to be reminded of his reality. I mean the whole point of fiction is the escapism right (lol, my maladaptive daydreaming thinks so) but he’d adore romance and documentaries, maybe even a good paced comedy. I feel like he’d love the whimsical stuff, with all the pretty special effects and makeup!
Despite what I said about horror, stuff like Jurassic park gets a pass because, Dinos! And if you explain to him the behind the scenes, I feel like he’d find it even more magical than the movie itself. You’re telling him there’s animatronics? Man is baffled by all the work that goes into the art form. I also think he’d really enjoy the Harry Potter series, although we all know he’s hate it’s creator. But if you make Thomas a little Hufflepuff scarf, he’d literally melt, like putty in your hands.
Movie musicals however, Thomas is all over that! Humming every tune while he’s doing chores. Memorising the choreo and running it through his head all the time. He loves Mama Mia and Into the Woods. So I think Tommy would enjoy the routine of movie night with the reader, but on his own he prefers a good old fashioned nonfiction book.
But let me know what you think!

Think using one brother to lure the other in would work? They still care enough about each other to want to protect each other in the au where they're both infected right? Maybe they can catch one of them to drag down to parts and service and use that to get the other in with threat of disassembly or just the general fear of parts and service since I think you mentioned they were both scared of it! At the least I'm sure they'd be scared of losing the other if they still care, though I'm not sure how well this idea would work in particular. But parts and service does have a lot of spare rooms and the cylinder itself to keep other animatronics in probably!
Okay, this has SO MUCH ANGST POTENTIAL and I am so lowkey tempted to write it--
Because while it's definitely SUCH AN ANGSTY OPTION, It would 120% work if executed properly. They do care about each other when infected, and both are scared of parts and service. But more importantly, disassembly isn't a ridiculous sounding threat to them and is one that they wouldn't be able to call their bluff on.
It could be possible for them to separate Moon from Sun, though for short periods of times. Sun trusts Freddy, and so if Freddy asked Sun to watch Gregory and asked Moon with something security related it would be possible to briefly separate them. Moon is very rule and security oriented, so he would be happy to help the bear ensure that everything is going as dictated. Sun is of course a daycare attendant so he loves children, and hasn't had the chance to play with children in a long time much less take care of one! (even though Monty is there, mainly to make sure Sun doesn't hurt Gregory).
Moon would definitely need to be the one used as the bait, though. And no it's not just because I like making him suffer. That too, but it's also because he is the most physically capable. Being the one with the security features, and far quicker to go all feral "rip your skin off", trying to use the threat with SUN would result in him most likely grabbing Gregory and turning it right back on them.
But grabbing Moon would change a lot of these problems: They could restrain him in the cylinder, as there are absolutely restraints made for this crackhead cause he is NEVER easy to deal with in the cylinder. If they did that and then posed the threat to Sun, his initial reaction wouldn't be "kill him I'm killing the child" because he isn't as physically violent. Now, his first reaction would be to deny it because "there's no way you got Moon", moving on to vicious insults and threats. Finally able to bring him down into parts and service, seeing that they were telling the truth Sun would lose it.
He hates seeing Moon scared just as much as Moon hates seeing Sun hurt. And holy shit would he be a nervous wreck, which would only make Sun panic more.
The main issue with it would be... well, if they could handle taking advantage of their bad emotional state. Freddy would have to keep up the lie that Moon is going to get disassembled for being "disobedient", and that lie would give Moon a fucking melt down, of which Freddy would have to deal with while ignoring the urge to calm him down. Moon is so highly paranoid about rules when infected that it is quite possibly one of the worse situations to him and his reaction is insanely explosive.
Monty would have to deal with being berrated by Sun, and have to be the one to administer the "just listen or we'll break the other one" ultimatium to him. Seeing the reaction change so quickly from annoyance and lashing out verbally to senseless panic would not be pleasant.
It definitely would work, but they better hope they never never recover those memories when they get uninfected or things will get awkward.

More fnaf doodles + maybe some ramblings
Tumblr media
Going to post this one first because the second one would kind of not make sense.
Anyway I kinda dislike how Will is being used in the fnaf ' main' story ( whatever even the f*** that is because it's Five Nights at Freddy's the story doesn't make sense and yes I'm talking about both the games and the books) at this point he kind of feels overused and he feels 1 dimensional to me if that makes sense. (I also hate the ' wanting to become immortal' trope.)
So me being me, I decided to make my own au,
I'll touch more on this later down the post and put it under a read more so no one has to scroll past it if they don't want to read it.
Tumblr media
Ay 1:00am doodles, my old enemy.
I added the post above because in this one you can see me rambling on about the color association thing changing.
Let's see, we got a nightmare segment, some Silhouettes and head busts, glitchtrap because I started to develop an interest in them, at the bottom we have a 8-bit styled headcanon I thought of... is it headcanon or just more part or the au???
Anyway to explain it , I find it very hard to believe that William was still alive after being springlocked a second time for a total of 30 years while locked inside of the safe room...
So I had it to where he did survive the second spring locking but this one completely messed his s*** up... like you can see in the dialogue that is probably hard to read... he couldn't move, see or speak...( muscles required for moving probably Torn To Hell and back, human eyeballs are quite fragile things so those got obliterated leaving him blind, and apparently he wouldn't have been able to scream because the spring locks would have jacked up his vocal cords bad enough to prevent him from actually screaming)
So he was stuck in that state for about a week or two before finally deceasing and then possessing the suit and rotting in that room for 30 years, the thing killing him being infection because tetanus from rusted cover spring locks or starvation.
Tumblr media
Security breach doodle, a lot of people were disappointed with the burntrap boss fight + ending and honestly so as I.
So I made a shity redesign. One that keeps the theme of the boss is starting off nice shiny and clean before ultimately getting absolutely wrecked.
Like having glitchtrap manifest in a Glam Rock styled body at the beginning of the boss fight with Freddy fighting him while Gregory deals with the other animatronics under his control and then at some point maybe the kid being the feral Goblin he is, find some conveniently placed oil cans and a lighter or matches... and does to glitchtrap what has happened to the poor bastards past incarnations of getting lit up... But! Instead of going down and calling it the end the second part of the fight begins except glitchtraps body is now what you would see on the right of the picture looking similar to how his soul Sprite looked in Princess Quest...( although I'm pretty sure the fumes of melted plastic or whatever they're made of would be awful to experience and bad for your lungs)
Anyway I'm not creative enough to figure out how the rest of that would go but he would probably end up dying anyway only to come back later in a different game because that's kind of the theme of this whole franchise now it seems.
Anyway here's my au William basics
He had a really rough childhood in the UK, and pretty much got out of there as soon as he was of age. And made a vow to himself to never become like his own father ( spoiler he doesn't keep it)
Blah blah after getting situated in America, he goes to college and meets Henry and they become best Pals, and after graduation they start having plans and ideas that starting a diner together to bring joy to kids and families alike.
At some point he meets his wife, doesn't know how to deal with love and is a complete mess about it but the cute dorky kind, and yada yada they start dating and even have double dates with the Emily couple...then boom, they marry. And have little Michael on the way.
Restaurant opens up after will's second kid is born, and everything is going fantastic! what wait a minute he gets springlocked for the first time but don't worry survives! And things go back to normal as well as the arrival of his third kid.
Unfortunately his wife dies, but that's okay he can handle taking care of three children and parts of a business establishment. And for the most part it seems like everything is under control and he's very much like that of a regular single dad taking care of three kids...
The bite of 83 happens, it's his youngest son, but is was a accident he has to keep telling himself, have to keep telling a distressed Michael that it was an accident after all he didn't know.
The house is quiet after the funeral, everyone is tense and usually stay locked up in their rooms. Things are getting more difficult than he remembered, it was an accident it was an accident no one's to blame no one's to blame.
His head feels likes it's under water, the house feels more empty then is was, and hallways seemed to stretch out infinitely into the void. He can't sleep well at night anymore, how could he? Every time he shut his eyes all he would see where those happier brighter times those times that were no longer here...! The small smile under tear filled eyes that were no longer here! He misses him...god he misses him...but it seems the would didn't care...he had to wear a mask and go about as if everything was fine! But he wasn't fine...he was starting to sink...
OK I'm going to stop there because I very quickly went off topic...
Anyway William was a regular guy but slowly began descending into madness which only got worse and worse after accidentally discovering remanent which really set the marbles loose.
To simply put he slowly becomes less human while still alive but after dying in the spring lock suit and rotting all those years definitely made things worse as it began to temper with his memories by scratching them away...and by fnaf 6 he's something that can't really be identified as once Being Human ( this is where his story ends in the living world)
By all means I'm not trying to justify his actions because kid killing is bad.
Also in this au, glitchtrap is technically not him.
It started off as a tiny fracture of his soul before eventually beginning to develop into its own being... and it hasn't retained any of his memories except remembering the fire.
I'll maybe touch up on this later if I have no motivation.

My notes and (a few) theory noodles on "Fazbear Frights #4: Step Closer" ...
Tumblr media
Once again, no epilogue commentary, since the audiobook version I listened to didn't include it.
The first two stories are good for theory fodder, but the last story is much more straight-forward and canon-based, so I don't have much to say about that one.
Obviously, spoilers under the cut.
Tumblr media
"Step Closer"
- the story opens with our new hero, Pete, suffering a nightmare wherein he's chased around his bedroom by Foxy. The nightmare ends when Foxy's hook slams into Pete's eye, popping it in its socket, and Pete wakes up with a scream.
- "Pete was ... drinking cherry cola while chewing watermelon gum."
- Pete is 16 y/o and, in the wake of his parents divorce and his mother getting sole custody of the kids, he is the unwitting constant babysitter to his younger brother, Chuck. Their mother has dumped a lot of responsibility on Pete since splitting from their father, telling Pete that he's "the man of the house" now, while Pete just wants to be a simple high schooler, not play parent to his brother.
- Pete perceives Chuck as little more than a "whiny little snot" who's always upset about something or other.
- Chuck has asthma and braces. He also loves RPGs, apparently.
- Chuck wants to hang out at Freddy's Pizzeria with his friends after school and, although he hates the place himself, Pete is forced to take him and watch over him while his brother plays arcade games with friends. While here, Pete overhears two employees talking about how the Foxy the Pirate animatronic is down for maintenance.
- Pete runs into one of his classmates/friends, a girl named Maria, who is also stuck here with a younger sibling. We learn that Pete used to play football in their school, but kept getting in trouble for "unnecessary roughness and having a bad attitude" so he just got frustrated and quit. Maria invites Pete to come hang out with her and some other classmates later that evening, but Pete has to decline due to his new job of minding his brother. He's not happy about having to turn down an opportunity to hang out with his friends, and snippily calls his brother "Chuck the chump."
- "Everything was about Chuck. Nothing mattered when it came to what Pete wanted."
- "Dad left. Mom was off in her own little world. They just thought they would put Pete in charge of Chuck, because they didn't have time to deal with him themselves. But Pete had never signed up to take over their responsibilities!"
- "Pete just had so many emotions, he didn't know what to do with them. Sometimes he felt like a ticking bomb about to go off. ... He hated these feelings. He hated everything sometimes."
- Giving into his anger, Pete grabs Chuck by the arm, bullying his brother into going to the maintenance closet with him. Chuck has always been scared of Foxy, and cries and hiccups the whole way.
- The boys see melted candles and strange symbols on the floor, but Pete is too focused on Foxy to think much about them. Activating Foxy's control switch, he picks Chuck up and forces him onto Foxy's little stage area, but Chuck panics and manages to fight Pete off and run away. In their fight in the maintenance room, Pete's shirt gets caught on a nail stick out from somewhere, and he is trapped alone with Foxy.
- Foxy finally begins moving, dancing and singing a song about losing an eye and an arm to become a pirate, Pete is trapped in place, too close to the moving robot. Pete feels that the robot is glaring down at him, and is too scared to move. Once Foxy has powered back down, Pete is able to move around, although he is disoriented for a minute, and take a minute to even remember where he is or why he came back there.
- Chuck is too scared of his brother to tell their mother what happened.
- Their mother announces over dinner that she's decided they should all become organ donors, saying that it's "something they can do as a family." (Which is just... the weirdest thing ever??? Literally what the hell, woman???) Pete snaps at her, asking her why she wants to "get rid of their body parts," but she just waves off his concerns. Neither boy is happy with this announcement, and are both understandably confused as to why their mother would sign them up to be organ donors just on a whim, and without consulting them.
- The nightmare sequence from the opening of the story takes place that night / the next morning, and Pete's morning begins with him running to the bathroom and slamming the door behind him. Chuck stands outside the bathroom door, worriedly listening to his older brother heave into the toilet.
- Chuck wishes his relationship with Pete was better, and mostly just wishes his brother was happier, and not so angry all the time.
- Their family's last name is 'Dinglewood,' apparently. Pete gets mocked and bullied at school, and gets called 'Dingleberry.' (Which, in parts of the United States, is an insult along the same veins as 'idiot.')
- Pete doesn't remember his nightmares the next day, but he feels exhausted, like he spent the night fighting for his life. He also feels anxious, like he's in constant danger. But he still goes to school anyway. In school, one of his classes is dissecting frogs, but he trips, and almost gets one of the dissection scalpels in the eye.
- Pete gets a text from his mother asking him to pick up her order from the butcher shop on his way home from school. He goes, even though he feels nauseas and dizzy, refusing to tell her that he's sick. At the butcher shop, a meat cleaver mysteriously falls from a hook hanging from the ceiling, almost slicing off his hand. The butcher remarks that it's nearly impossible for any of his implements to fall off their hooks, and assumes that Pete was playing with the knives and stuff.
- Stressed, Pete chugs cola and chews gum as soon as he gets home. He's hungry, but too nauseas to eat.
- Belatedly, he realizes that he didn't pick Chuck up from school, and that, due to his getting sick in the bathroom that morning, Chuck was running late and didn't catch the bus. Chuck went to school and returns home by himself without any fuss, and promises not to tell their mother. (Pete is supposed to accompany Chuck everywhere, and their mother would lose it if she learned "her baby" was out by himself.) The two brothers get into a fight, but then Chuck, knowing that Pete hasn't eaten anything all day, makes his brother a PB&J sandwich as a peace offering.
- The boys talk about their mother's new interest in organ donation. Chuck realizes that the conversation makes Pete uncomfortable, and proceeds to heckle his brother by describing in detail how doctors cut open donors' bodies to get the organs. Pete nearly throws up again, and is forced to retreat to his room.
- Pete chews a lot of bubblegum (watermelon flavor) and drinks a lot of soda and energy drinks throughout the story. They seem to be his go-to things when he's stressed or angry.
- Pete passes by a construction site on the way to school the next day, and is forced to walk under some scaffolding. A blade flies out of a buzz saw, and almost cuts off his hand when he reaches up to deflect it on reflex. His wrist is cut, and the sight of his own blood is enough to make Pete nearly pass out. Construction workers come to make sure he's okay, and medical responders are called.
- His mother frets and worries over him at home. She's so worried about him, she wants to rearrange her work schedule so she can drink him and Chuck everywhere from now on, not wanting anything to happen to them. (Their mother reads to me like a person who has already lost someone, and is really anxious over the prospect of losing another. Which fits with the whole 'Pete and Chuck being stand-ins for the Afton brothers' bit, since the Afton brothers are canonically raised for at least a bit by a single parent who has already lost a child and would believably be worried about losing the other two.)
- Their father (whose name is Bill... y'know, as in William/Bill. That's not pointed at all. /sarcasm) also comes to check on Pete, to make sure he's okay. It's the first time either of the boys have seen their father in almost six months now, and Pete isn't sure what to make of the attention.
- Dad Bill decides that Pete's injury is minor, and takes Pete with him on an impromptu fishing trip, against Pete's will or his mother's better judgement. On the fishing trip, Pete receives a lecture from his father about treating his brother better, and grinds his teeth through the whole thing, wishing he'd brought his gum with him. He finds it irritating that his parents are apparently allowed to get divorced and upend his entire life without paying any heed to how he feels about it, but he's not allowed to be sad or upset about it at all.
- Bill initiates The Sex Talk, and Pete shuts it down really fast, not wanting to get into it. During the conversation, Pete realizes that his father doesn't believe that his injury came from an accident, and that he thinks Pete hurt himself on purpose; this annoys Pete, who thinks his father should know him better.
- Bill tells Pete that he's always available if Pete needs to talk to someone, and Pete finally snaps, lashing out at his father, who just left him and Chuck with their mother, moved across town, and never visits and rarely even talks to them over the phone. We also learn that Bill works odd hours.
- "[Pete] could just cry right now. But crying hurt even worse than just getting mad, so he decided on the mad."
- While Pete finally vents out all of his frustrations to his father, the wind carries another fisherman's line through the air just as it's being casted, and the hook imbeds itself in Pete's cheek, right below his eye. The line attached to the hook pulls taut, and Pete is almost pulled into the lake they're fishing on, but is caught and carefully pulled back just in time by his father, who uses a hunting knife to cut the pulling line. Pete is overcome by the pain and the fear of almost losing his eye again, and just bursts into tears in his father's arms.
- Their mother (Audrey, apparently) blows a gasket over this new incident. She's angry that Bill took Pete out against her will, and that her son got hurt again because of it. Chuck watches in concern as Pete is trooped through the house, his face bandaged up; Pete is clearly a wreck by this point, physically injured and emotionally spent.
- Chuck goes to check on his brother while their parents fight in the background. He's never seen his older brother look so scared and vulnerable, and it doesn't sit well with him. He gets Pete to tell him about all of the incidents, and decides that he's going to figure out what mysterious force has it out for his brother.
- The following day sees Pete spending time in Chuck's room, the only place where he feels safe, and plays video games with Chuck. It's the first time in a long time that the two brothers enjoy spending time together. When alone, Pete watches a lot of TV, vaguely aware of his mom hovering nearby, making sure he's okay.
- Chuck hypothesizes that Pete needs to face the Foxy animatronic again, recognizing the pattern of Pete almost losing an eye or an arm, much like the song he heard the robot singing. Pete gets angry, accusing Chuck of trying to scare him in retaliation for all the times Pete has messed with him over the years. He throws Chuck out of his room, and, once he's alone, begins crying to himself.
- That night, Pete has trouble sleeping, feeling like he's being watched, and thinking he sees something moving outside his window. He hears something open the backyard gate, and then thinks he hears a door opening, and footsteps in the house. He stays in his bed, trying to convince himself that he's only imagining it, even as he hears his bedroom door open and footsteps approach his bed. Finally, he looks up to see Foxy standing over him, just as the robot's hook comes sailing down at his face. He gets up to run, but the robot's hook pops his eye, and the robot's foot crushes his hand, then tears his hand completely off. Pete wakes up from the nightmare screaming in terror and phantom pains.
- On Monday, Pete walks into school, and almost walks back out again when coming face-to-face with a sign for the school upcoming pirate-themed homecoming carnival.
- Pete talks with his friends before school, and, when nothing goes wrong the rest of the day, he starts to feel better. Like everything is back to normal, and like he's just as safe as he's ever been, and not under some weird robo-Fox curse. That is, until he visits a booth his friend Maria is running at the school carnival and gets his entire hand caught in a Chinese finger trap. He is unable to get it off, and it gets tighter and tighter even when he isn't doing anything, cutting off his circulation. Maria apologizes and cuts it off of his hand when she sees how panick-y he's getting; by the time she gets it off, Pete's circulation is so bad that his hand now looks purple. Genuinely upset by what just happened, Maria tries to apologize to her friend again, but Pete runs off in a haze.
- He ends up in a mirror maze, and gets lost quickly. He runs into a dead-end, alone, only to see a fox-faced pirate in the reflection behind him. Panicked, he begins running through the maze, trying to find the exit. The fox pirate follows him in the mirrors. Eventually, Pete escapes by punching the fox pirate in the nose, then running away while the fox pirate "puts a hand to his mask." (This makes it sound like he was being chased by another person in the maze, who just happened to be wearing a pirate costume a fox mask for some reason, but then why did he only see their reflection, and not their body beside him?)
- Now fully panicking, Pete runs blindly without looking where he's going. He runs past a dart-throwing booth, and gets hit by darts that stick in his hand and face. He runs past a parrot that calls out "Lose an eye! Lose an arm!" and he nearly goes ballistic. He gets grabbed by a teacher, who tries to calm him down, but Pete starts babbling to himself about "he's after me" (meaning Foxy) and "he was right, and I need to apologize" (meaning Chuck).
- "I have to go back to the point of origin, where it all began. I have to face the villain."
- Hysterical, Pete runs away, wanting to get to either his brother Chuck or the Foxy animatronic, not minding when he slams into things and bruises himself on the way. He pulls out his phone and leaves a message for Chuck, apologizing for his treatment of his brother, and saying that he's going to go back to see Foxy. This is when he runs into the street, not paying attention to anything around him, and is hit by a truck.
- Hearing the message from his brother, Chuck escapes school, heading straight to Freddy's, refusing to let his brother do this alone. He tries to get to the maintenance room undetected, and, once there, he looks around with his flashlight, trying not to cry or hiccup from fear. He gets worried when he can't find his brother, and tries to call Pete, crying and hiccupping heavily when he gets no answer.
- "This wasn't about his fears. This was about *his brother.*" Good on you, Chuck!
- Chuck decides to get a closer look at Foxy, wanting to learn why the animatronic has been bothering his brother so much. He gets interrupted by a call on his cell phone, and he hears his father's voice when he answers. Sounding terribly sad and broken up, his father tells him about Pete's accident.
- Chuck joins his parents at the scene of the accident, and finds the three of them standing in front of a gurney. Pete's body is on the gurney, and Chuck watches as his brother is taken away in a body bag, and, suddenly, he no longer has a big brother.
- Pete's spirit lingers, attached to his body as it's taken to the hospital. One of the doctors examining his body remarks that Pete's eyes are frozen open. Realizing that he's dead and, as an unwitting organ donor, about to be cut open for parts, Pete begins hysterically crying out for his parents, knowing they can't help him but calling out anyway, saying he's "not ready to give up his organs!" and insisting to the doctors "You can't take my organs before I'm dead!"
- The doctors need to remove Pete's hand and eyes first, as they're a match for an existing patient and they need to be put on ice and prepped quickly. Hearing Foxy's pirate song in his head, Pete is forced to watch as his body is taken apart.
- Several weeks later, Chuck feels lonely at home, and keeps hoping to turn around and find Pete standing there. His father has moved back in, both mom Audrey and dad Bill wanting to start their marriage again, trying to move past the tragedy. They've closed the door to Pete's room, leaving it as an untouched memorial to their lost child. (Is this why Elizabeth's room is seen empty in FNAF4? She's already gone, but the family keeps all her stuff in memory of her?)
- Chuck feels the need to get back to Freddy's, to see Foxy. He's replayed Pete's message over and over in the past weeks, and he needs to know why his brother is dead. He feels out of place at Freddy's, a place of birthday parties and games and happiness, while he feels nothing but loneliness and sadness. Once again, he sneaks into the maintenance room, and goes straight to Foxy's stage.
- "This is for you, Pete! I'll beat the villain, and finish the game!"
- But, Foxy doesn't show. There is no pirate song for Chuck to hear. There's nothing but silence and emptiness, and Chuck is left without any answers.
- ... So... Pete and Chuck are pretty obvious stand ins for the Afton boys, right? An angry older brother that bullies his wimpy, crybaby little brother? That sounds pretty familiar.
- It doesn't help that their dad is literally named 'Bill.' Or that the angry older brother gets suddenly killed, and his organs removed (akin to Michael getting scooped).
- So this basically tells us what had previously been implied a few times: Michael doesn't particularly dislike his brother, but is mad at William/their mother, and doesn't like playing constant babysitter, so he takes all his anger out on his brother, who is smaller and can't fight back.
- I think this story also tells us that William really *does* care about his kids, even if he doesn't always show it. At least, that's how Dad Bill read to me.
- I liked that it was pointed out that Chuck likes RPG games, and that Pete has this safe, calm period where he's just hanging out and playing these games with his brother. It reminded me of my favorite theory for the 'FNAFWorld' game, which is that the game is created by Crying Child haunted arcade cabinets in an attempt to communicate with his brother, Michael.
- But also, like... The boys saw evidence of a ritual of some kind being performed on Foxy??? And that's never explained or brought up again??? Wth??? (EDIT: apparently this relates to the epilogue somehow. I'll have to look up the epilogue at some point to make any further commentary.)

"Dance With Me"
- our main character, a young woman named Kasey, snatches a mother's purse outside of a "kiddy restaurant" called Circus Baby's Pizza World; the woman and her two small children (a boy and a girl) are understandably upset
- Kasey is homeless, and has been since her mom (a neglectful, abusive woman who never wanted to be a mother) and her mother's boyfriend (an equally terrible person) kicked her out of her home when she was only 16. At this point, Kasey lives in an abandoned warehouse with two men named Jack and AJ, who are her fellow thieves and partners in crime.
- (Boy I hope "AJ" here is named after the dude from "Random Encounters." That would be pretty cool!)
- among the other more useful things in the woman's purse that Kasey stole, there's also the candy and toys that the kids got from the restaurant. One of the items is a pair of cardboard glasses, which, when Kasey decides to try them on, show her a blue-tint of the world around her and an image of Ballora dancing in the distance. At first, she only sees Ballora outside of Circus Baby's Pizza World, and the first time it happens, she's filled with a sudden emptiness and desire for love and beauty, two things she's never had in her life. Her partners, Jack and AJ, don't see Ballora when they try them on.
- Wondering if Ballora only shows up outside of Circus Baby's, Kasey tries them on in a different location. This time, when she sees the dancing robot image, it makes her dizzy and fills her with unease.
- AJ and Jack love partying and drinking when they can steal the cash for it, but Kasey grew up with a mother who went out partying and came home late, wasted and no use around the apartment, and Kasey wants nothing to do with that lifestyle.
- Kasey has never even heard of the character Ballora up until yesterday, but now she can't stop thinking about the dancing robot, and even has random dance related words popping into her head out of nowhere (including "pirouette" and "twirling")
- Kasey goes for a walk through a park, casing out the neighborhood for a potential spree she and her partners will go on later that evening. In the park, she watches enviously as small children are watched and cared for by loving mothers. She becomes overcome by the desire to see Ballora again, and puts on the glasses, smiling as she watches Ballora dance through the park.
- At this point, it becomes clear that, although she should just be a holographic image on cheap plastic/cardboard toy glasses, Ballora is affecting the world around where she appears to be dancing. As she spins in place at the park, the falling leaves flow around her, caught up apparently in the wind caused by her movements. Kasey also notices that Ballora appears to be closer to her, as she can now make out more details about Ballora's design than she could before.
- (In "Coming Home," we will learn that ghosts can't be seen by the living, but they can affect the world around them, including making leaves move in the air around them in this same manner. So could this mean that Ballora is and/or represents someone who's died?)
- "[Ballora's] face was clown-like, but, unlike most clowns, Ballora wasn't smiling." ... "Ballora was looking at Kasey and didn't like what she saw."
- Understandably, Kasey doesn't appreciate being judged by an imaginary robot.
- That night, Kasey steals another purse, this time from a college student outside a dance club. She goes to cut the purse straps with scissors, but gets bumped from behind, and ends up accidentally slicing the girl's arm. This upsets her just as much as her victim, and she runs away quickly.
- "Kasey hadn't meant to hurt her. ... Spilling blood changed things." "Kasey hadn't meant to cut her, but she couldn't exactly claim to be innocent."
- "It hadn't been worth the effort, or the bloodshed."
- Kasey and her partners walk past the same park again, on their way to case another location. Kasey notices the leaves still spinning in the same way they were yesterday, when Ballora was dancing in that spot. She puts the glasses on and sees Ballora still there, as though she never left.
- Kasey gets the feeling that Ballora is getting closer every day.
- She wants a second set of eyes, and Jack and AJ agree to try the glasses again. When they see nothing, when she clearly does, they worry about her mental wellbeing. Jack takes the glasses from her and, while she watches, throws them away in a nearby dumpster, which instantly fills Kasey with relief. "No glasses, no problem."
- While Kasey feels better without the glasses (and thinks clearer, much to her partners' relief), she goes to get them back. She worries that Ballora will somehow follow her, glasses or no, and she wants to at least be able to see her potential attacker coming.
- When brainstorming where to strike next, one of the guys suggests purse/wallet snatching at Circus Baby's again. Kasey is immediately repulsed by the idea, afraid to go back to that place.
- That night, she becomes paranoid that Ballora is coming for her. (When Kasey first saw the dancing image of Ballora, she thought the dancing robot was beautiful, and the image filled her with a longing for a mother's love; now that Ballora is closer, and Kasey can see her better, she's afraid of the dancing robot.)
- "[Ballora] was beautiful and horrible at the same time."
- Too afraid that Ballora will get her if she stays in one place for too long, Kasey packs up her stuff and runs away, leaving her partners behind. She knows she'll miss Jack and AJ, as they "were like brothers to her." (Two brothers and a sister, you say???)
- Hopping a bus to go to Memphis, Kasey ends up sitting next to a motherly old woman. The old woman is kind, holding genuine conversation with Kasey, and even sharing food with her. The old woman recognizes that Kasey is running away from something, and offers her the advice that "problems tend to follow you, and catch up with you eventually." (That's not forshadowing at all, I'm sure. /sarcasm)
- In a new town, Kasey gets a job doing the dishes at a diner. She gets caught stealing tip money from the head waitress, and the waitress yells at her and tries to get her fired. For some reason, this incident reminds her of Ballora (I think possibly the waitress' attitude reminds her of her mother, and that in turn makes her think of the confused feelings that Ballora gives her) and she decides to put the glasses on again when she goes outside. Seeing the dancing robot makes her feel scared and dizzy.
- Kasey has a dream where she goes to a theater and watches Ballora perform. Ballora dances under purple and gold signs that read "Liar!" and "Thief!" and "YOU"
- The next day, Kasey runs away again. She puts on the glasses again, telling herself that this is the last time, and sees Ballora is now only a few feet away from her (20 steps, apparently). She admits to herself that she didn't really make a "fresh start" for herself by running away, and that, like Ballora, her own human flaws and bad habits (stealing, lying, taking advantage of people) have followed her. She decides to go somewhere new and try again, promising herself to get away from her bad habits and away from Ballora.
- She goes to Nashville next, promising herself to do better. She runs into another maternal woman, this one working at a clothing store Kasey goes to (looking to buy an outfit for a job interview). The woman is kind, and doesn't judge Kasey's awkward speech or bedraggled appearance, and makes Kasey feel hopeful for her future. (The woman wears yellow, and mentions having three kids.) Despite the woman's kindness, and her promises to herself, Kasey steals from the store; she sees the leaves on the ground outside start to spin in the air, and knows Ballora is there, watching her and judging her actions.
- "She just kept imagining Ballora's long, sharp nails... her teeth!"
- Kasey runs back to hide in her motel room, feeling like Ballora is chasing her. Inside, she hears a scratching on the window, but sees nothing... until she puts on the glasses, at which point she sees Ballora outside the window, leering in at her.
- Deciding to return the glasses, Kasey hitchhikes back to where she first stole that purse in front Circus Baby's Pizza World. She puts on the glasses once during the trip, and sees Ballora attached to the outside of the passenger window of the truck she's hitched a ride in, still leering at her.
- Wearing a red dress (the one she stole from the store), Kasey approaches the home of the purse's rightful owner. She feels Ballora following behind her, and watches the fallen leaves swirl around her. (*insert "Ballora will follow you" audio clip from Sister Location here*) As soon as Kasey rings the doorbell, fully commiting to returning the stolen items, she sees all the swirling leaves scatter in a sudden, strong gust of wind, and she feels Ballora leave her.
- Kasey apologizes to the woman whose purse she stole (Sarah), and promises to pay her back for everything she stole. The woman forgives her, and invites her in for tea. (This is the second time the name Sarah has come up, I think.)
- Inside, Kasey returns the glasses to the little girl, who is named Isabella and has big blue eyes. Excited, Isabella promptly puts on the glasses, cries out in delight when she sees Ballora, and then starts dancing.
- Mainly, this story just works hard to beat you over the head with the idea that Ballora represents somebody's mother.
- It doesn't outright state whose mother she represents, but, given her strong associate with Circus Baby (Kasey first sees her outside of Circus Baby's Pizza World, and Kasey ultimately ends the story while wearing a red dress, like Circus Baby canonically wears), and the subtle references to groups of three children/siblings (Kasey viewing herself and her partners as two brothers and a sister, one of the maternal women Kasey runs into mentioning having three kids...), and Ballora being associated in Kasey's dream with the colors purple and gold (neither colors being strongly presented in her design, but carrying specific meanings in this franchise, conjuring images of William and Michael and Golden Freddy/the youngest Afton boy), I would say the theory that Ballora represents Mrs. Afton in some way is a pretty decent one.
- Also worth noting -- this story made me think a lot of "1:35 AM." Kasey's character made me think of Delilah in some ways, and some of the ways she tries to escape Ballora mirrored Delilah's trying to escape Ella. The woman that Kasey meets in the clothing store is even described with similar visuals to Delilah's next door neighbor! I don't know if this is lazy writing, or if these stories are supposed to be similar for some reason.

"Coming Home"
- aka, Susie's story. (and anyone In The Know should have a pretty good idea already of what this story may be)
- little Susie has named the big tree in her yard 'Oliver'
- Susie associates people's voices with colors. She also apparently senses things that others often don't, according to her grandmother.
- Susie is 7 years old. Her sister, Samantha, is one year younger than her.
- her mother and Samantha are both sad here lately, and Susie doesn't understand why.
- "Her mom kind of got stuck. Like she was a wind-up toy that hadn't been wound up all the way."
- Susie plays with cooking toys, wearing a pink apron and pretending to be a chef in a restaurant. She has a bedroom with a purple theme, with lots of animal plushies and dolls, which she often pretends are at a big party.
- Susie lives with her mother and sister in a big yellow house with 'gingerbread fringe.' Her father used to live with them, but he left awhile ago, because "it's too hard" and he "needs space." (After finishing the story, I have some... less than kind words about her father, and how he just leaves his wife and younger daughter like this. I understand his pov, but still... )
- Samantha is quiet and cautious, but also has a bad temper, and is constantly angry. Her schoolmates bully her, but Susie overhears one of them say that they "can't blame [Samantha]" for how she acts.
- Throughout the story, Susie complains about smelling something weird, and compares it to old leftovers or rotting meat.
- Also, no one ever directly engages with her. Her mother and sister both speak and answer each other, and they both enter Susie's room at different points, her sister angrily kicking at Susie's toys, and her mother just sadly looking around before bursting into tears.
- (In case it isn't clear, Susie isn't alive in this story. This takes place two years after Susie was abducted and killed, and now she is projecting herself / haunting her mother and sister. Later clues in the story also tell us that her family know what happened to her, how she was abducted and killed, and maybe even who did it; it's unclear exactly how much they know.)
- Susie goes to bed, but is awoken by a strange thumping and tapping sound at 11:50 pm. She goes to investigate, but stops when she hears Samantha announce "There's nothing out there. Back to bed." (This is the first time in the story that anyone has spoken to Susie, but it sounds more like Samantha is talking to herself.)
- Unknown to Susie, her mother, Patricia, talks to her best friend Jeannie over the phone, seeking comfort. She expresses that she doesn't know what to do with Samantha (mentioning that Samantha is 8 years old), or what to do with herself, either. She feels that her happiness was stolen from her, and she hates that Samantha has had her childhood stolen, her little girl forced to grow up and take care of Patricia while the grown woman falls into a depression she doesn't know how to fight.
- Still curious about the strange footsteps sounds, Susie keeps looking out the windows. She sees something big walking around outside in the dark, its head moving around, looking into the house. Finally, as midnight rolls around, she goes to open the front door, coming face to face with the animatronic Chica, who she greets with a sad "Is it time to go back already?"
- Susie, considering Chica's cupcake: "She didn't know what the candle meant. One day? One year? ... One child?"
- Patricia and Samantha both hear a strange sound during the night, but don't know what it is.
- The next day, Patricia meets with Jeannie, who does her best to comfort her friend and help her grieve for her lost child.
- "Your daughter was murdered by a serial killer in a place where she should have been safe."
- Susie was wearing her favorite outfit when she was taken - a hand-knitted sweater, magenta with pink stripes, and blue jeans with rhinestones. She also has her ears pierced, and likes to wear colorful earrings.
- While this is Susie's story, it's not so much a story about Susie herself as it is a story about her family grieving for her. It's a story about the real underlying horror and tragedy of the FNAF storyline - a madman taking the lives of children, turning those children into monsters that are kept in constant states of pain and despair, and their broken families left behind, while the audience can do nothing to stop or fix it.
- After a conversation with a classmate, Samantha realizes that the strange sounds she hears at night could be Susie's lingering spirit haunting her. We learn that the house backdoor, which is in the kitchen, always opens by itself shortly before midnight. (It's opened by Susie's spirit, but Samantha doesn't know that.) Samantha also feels like bugs are crawling up her legs when she goes to bed (probably an effect of Susie trying to climb into bed with her).
- Samantha goes to a therapist to deal with the trauma of having her sister and best friend taken from her. While at a session, Samantha admits that her last memory of her sister is of the two of them having a fight, and she thinks that Susie was distracted by their fight, and that's why Susie was so easily taken. (The poor girl is only 8 y/o and has survivor's guilt, and has apparently had it since she was 6. D: I am going to cry on her behalf.)
- Ghost!Susie gets tired of listening to her sister talk about a math lesson from school, and blows in Samantha's ear. Samantha freezes up and falls silent, terrified.
- Susie haunts her sister without realizing it, just wanting to be near her family again. Her sister, Samantha, only knows that she hears creepy sounds and feels things touching her out of nowhere, and she's understandably spooked by the sensations.
- Susie draws pictures on papers in Samantha's room, trying to ask her sister about the whereabouts of a doll they both shared. Samantha is startled to find drawings she didn't make sitting on her desk, and she doesn't know what they're supposed to be.
- Samantha's favorite story to read with her mother before bed is a book called "the Happy Ghost," a story about a man who dies and waits for his family to join him. It makes her feel sad and lonely, and it makes her mother cry, but they still read it every night.
- Samantha has a nightmare about Chica chasing her through the house. She wakes up only to find that it's not a dream - the animatronic is really in her room, staring her down.
- Susie is attached to Chica, but can't really control her. It's unclear if anyone or anything really is controlling Chica in this instance, as the robot seemed to just sort of... chase Samantha around for no real reason? Samantha is trying to help Susie's spirit move on, and it's implied that Chica is trying to prevent that, but that doesn't make a lot of sense, since (as far as I know) Chica is just an automaton, with no mind or personality of her own. She has to be controlled by something, but if Susie isn't in complete control of her, I'm not sure what is. (This could be a Fetch-like scenario, where Chica feels Susie's emotions and basic desires, but not the real purpose behind it.)
- Samantha finds the missing doll, and finally comes face to face with the ghost of her dead sister, who was apparently still partially attached to the doll (which seems to be the sole reason Susie is able to haunt her family's home). Susie hugs her sister, then returns to the pizzeria with Chica. Samantha is finally able to mourn the loss of her sister.
- I don't really have much to say about this story. The heavy focus on William's victims (both the kids he killed and their families) just makes me think Scott or one of his writing team members was just like "Y'know... I think the murderer gets the spotlight too often. People like him too much. The fans need to be reminded why this guy is the real monster of the story."
- It *is* weird that no dogs are mentioned in this story though, since historically it seems that it's always been implied that Afton lured Susie by talking to her about her dog.

Ok ok so! Feel free to tangent in the comments about your Vanguard hcs and your au and stuff :] but here's some stuff about Vanny and Jennifer (Vanessa)in my AU where they're exes, and Vanny is Gregory's sister
- Jennifer is transfem :] she chose the name Vanessa in freshman year of high school, and met Vanny in sophomore year, at first their friendship was mostly just bc they thought it was funny they were so similar and had the same name but they ended up really bonding and falling in love, they dated thru senior year and most of college
- Their breakup was really bad and it basically ruined their friendship too so they just stopped talking after Jen dumped her.
- Vanny and Jennifer are both very traumatized lol (Gregory is too lmao)
- Vanny basically steals Jen's identity, not like irl impersonating her but she like hacks into her stuff and uses her position at Fazbear Entertainment to release the virus on the animatronics. When Jen finds out she's using the alias of Vanny, she realizes it's to frame her and changes her name to avoid being linked to it
- They have a lot of unresolved romantic tension that kinda consumes their focus during the course of SB and poor Gregory's over on the other side like HEY ASSHOLES YOU CAN DEAL WITH YOUR BREAKUP LATER BUT THESE FUCKING ROBOTS ARE TRYING TO KILL ME
- Gregory called Vanny "Ness" as a nickname until she became Vanny, so when he teams with Jennifer, he calls her "Jess" because he's holding onto her as a stand-in for his sister now that Vanny is no longer safe. It takes a while before he's able to call her Jennifer bc this kid has such a shit home life in this AU and his sister was like his only lifeline and then she mURDERED HIS FRIENDS AND TRIED TO KILL HIM so he's still holding onto the idea of Jen as a new Ness, hence the nickname Jess
- uhhh that's all I got aside from that despite everything Jen and Vanny still love each other but their relationship is probably 1000% fucked bc my AUs are always dumb and angsty like th@ lmao
OMG, THIS IS JUST LIKE THEM IN MY AU (except Vanny herself is too incompetent to actually murder anyone, Vance has the animatronics he hacked do it for them)
In my AU, the two broke up shortly before graduating college, simply because they were going in different directions in life, Vanny starting to work with an indie dev team, and Breach not knowing just what she wanted to do yet, and the breakup was mutual.
Safe to say that just about any good faith Breach had towards Vanny died when she found out that it was her who stole her identity, and almost got her framed for child kidnapping/murder.
Vanny is still hopelessly in love with Breach, borderline flirting with her while she's trying to get Gregory out, while Gregory watches all of this happen from inside of Glamrock Freddy and is all like "yo wtf is going on between the weird bunny lady, and the guard?"
Nowadays Vanny is a total pushover for Breach, and sorta a comic relief. Gregory knows this, and takes full advantage of it despite the fact that she's now one of his adopted moms. He strangely does care about Vanny on some level and thinks of her as a mom, much to the surprise of Breach and everyone else. Vanny though is the type of person to absolutely melt if called "mom" (totally not cuz of preexisting issues with her own family, nope-).
Vanny would kill for Gregory, quite literally, but Breach keeps her in check.
Breach still has feelings for Vanny, but is still mad about her stealing her identity. She still loves her, and will probably kill you for even looking at Vanny the wrong way.
also Breach is the top for this very reason FSGHFDJKFHS-
