Social runes

Social runes can be created and placed by creating memory triggers and can be seen using interactive mental images or interactive vision. Social runes can look like anything (a rock, a yellow paper, etc) and can be attached on an object, a situation, or a mental image. When you see a social rune with interactive mental images or interactive vision, that social rune's memory trigger will get triggered. Social runes can be both superior memory triggers and inferior memory triggers (when you want an object to remind you about a social rune, etc), but their main use is for being superior memory triggers. Social runes are more easier to move around when they are superior memory triggers than "ordinary superior memory triggers" (tree that triggers something, music paper that triggers something, etc) because they can be seen with interactive vision as objects on real life objects or on your mental images. For example, if you had a music paper with a social rune attached to it that triggers something important, you could unattach that social rune and attach it to something else (another music paper or other paper, a musical instrument, etc). Social runes can be removed from an object, a situation, or a mental image and forgotten about if you want a social rune to be destroyed. Social runes can be copied if you want more than one copy of a social rune. The copied social runes can be attached to targets that the original social rune is not attached to. Social rune types: - Explanation runes have memory triggers that explain something. [Superior trigger explanation rune + Superior trigger object + Inferior trigger object explanation] = When you see the explanation rune or the object, the inferior trigger object explanation will get triggered. - Note runes have memory triggers that have messages for you. [Superior trigger note rune + Superior trigger tree + Inferior trigger "10 trees in the area"] = When you see the note rune or the tree, the inferior trigger "10 trees in the area" will get triggered. - Reminder runes have memory triggers that remind you of something. [Superior trigger reminder rune + Superior trigger your home's door + Inferior trigger "I need to do (action)] = When you see the reminder rune or your home's door, the inferior trigger "I need to do (action)" will get triggered. Social runes can be created and placed by social spirits. You will need to find them by using interactive mental images or interactive vision. For example, you might see a note rune from the social guardian spirit that has a warning message.

i really need them to tell us what made daniel suddenly start remembering he met armand at polynesian mary's because it drives me crazy thinking about it.... it was a redacted memory; armand tried to erase himself completely from both the bar and the apartment. daniel starts dreaming about meeting louis after getting the tapes and it always cuts off before armand shows up. until suddenly one night it doesn't, with no obvious trigger, apparently no poking in his mind to knock the walls around the hidden memory down accidentally or otherwise. what made daniel remember? something in the infusion? armand touching him when he covered him with a blanket in his sleep? some other third thing? all of the above??????

Memory galleries

You can store your memories in memory galleries. You can make a memory gallery by making a symbol that triggers your memory gallery. For example, the symbol of 3 circles and 1 square can trigger your memory gallery. Notice that you can make multiple memory galleries (I wrote the word gallery in its plural form.) You should make sure to have a separate symbol for each memory gallery, so they don't overlap. You don't need to make more than one memory gallery if you don't need more than one memory gallery. You can put memories into a memory gallery by making a "mental photo" of something (a place, a person in a place, etc) you see with your eyes or you can recall, imagining a short amount of text describing the mental photo, and assigning it a unique number (1, 2, 3) or putting it into a unique group number (1a, 2b, 3[yellow circle], etc). Groups in your memory gallery represent memories with common features. Ways to make a mental photo: - imagine the symbol that triggers your memory gallery next to the memory using an interactive mental image or using interactive vision. - imagine flash of any colour using an interactive mental image or using interactive vision. You can combine both of these to make a mental photo together if you want to. In your memory gallery, you can view memories by their unique number or by their unique group number. You can imagine the memories that have unique numbers to be in columns and rows. Unique group numbers can be viewed by imagining their group identification letter, symbol, etc in your mind (in 1a, the group identification letter is "a" and in 3[yellow circle], the symbol is the yellow circle). Memory interactions: - Fake memories = make a memory that didn't happen and put it in a unique group number that only holds fake memories to not forget what memories in your memory gallery are fake. By thinking these memories in this fake memory group are real, you may change your behaviour. For example, if someone wants you to interact with them more, you can make fake memories of you often interacting with them and trying to believe that they are real memories. Some fake memory example types are fake action, fake activity, fake name (change name of a person to another name), etc. - Trigger memories = make an unequal memory trigger connection where the superior trigger is a symbol (two blue boxes, etc) and the inferior trigger is a memory. When you think of that superior trigger, the memory assigned to it will get triggered. You can use this if you think a memory will be useful in the future. - Planned memories = make an unequal memory trigger connection where the superior trigger is a situation (a room, a feeling, argument, etc) and the inferior trigger is a memory. When that situation, the superior trigger, occurs, the memory assigned to it will get triggered. You can use this if you know a situation where you need some memory/memories. Extra information: planned memories may not be triggered if you become distracted (deep feelings, a heated argument, etc). Memory trigger information

The opposite doesn't mean good in this case. Perceptor's self-lobotomy instead of removing his emotions and personality instead made it so his emotional state overrode his logical thinking. Shockwave as a sparkling was forced to take care of him in between the shifts were Perceptor was deprived of all emotional stimulants in order to get him to continue his work. Their relationship was technically 'closer' but it was arguably a lot more toxic.

Shockwave was assigned to Perceptor to 'fix' his processor. Thinking if Shockwave gained his knowledge he'd be able to reverse the damage done. He couldn't. When the handle fell off his final orders as Perceptor's charge was to wipe his existance from Perceptor's memory banks.

The guy had been staring at him for a while.

Not in a creepy way. He sat just under the warm golden spill of the café lights, half in shadow, one hand shoved into the pocket of a dark coat, the other curled loosely around a coffee cup he hadn't touched.

Simon should have looked away. But something about the man held him. There was a strange magnetic pull. Like the low hum of a melody he hadn’t heard since his childhood. Like standing on the edge of a dream, chasing the shape of it before it slips away.

He smiled, hesitant. “Do I… know you?”

The guy’s eyes, sad and soft, looked as if it held the secrets of the universe. He blinked slowly, like the question had reopened a raw wound. “No.”

Simon laughed, trying to shake off the odd weight in his chest, the pressure in his ribs. “You look kind of familiar.”

The stranger didn’t answer right away. His voice, when it came, was quiet, like a lost whisper. “I get that a lot.”

Simon nodded, even though it didn’t make sense. He should’ve let it go. Should’ve gone back to his music or his coffee or the essay he’d abandoned on his laptop. But instead, he found himself saying: “Maybe we were friends in a past life.”

The guy flinched.

Simon wanted to ask more, but then the man smiled. Not with joy. More like surrender. He stood and walked out the door without another word.

Simon sat there long after he was gone. For some reason, he couldn't shake the feeling that he'd just said goodbye to someone he'd loved a thousand times before.

One thing that did strike me in 5.3 was how, when the group was sharing that they'd recently dreamed about the relatives or friends they'd lost- Kinich doesn't say anything.

And everyone who has read his character story knows why he wouldn't.

He can't talk about his father chasing him down in a drunken rage, only to fall to the bottom of a ravine.

He can't talk about the way rope burned the skin of his hands raw as he, a boy, pulled his father's corpse back up the cliff.

He can't talk about the way its 'almost' implied he subconsciously rejected receiving an Anemo vision because he hated the freedom that came with his father's death. Because solitude felt lonelier and more painful than being beaten.

He can't talk about his stiff relationship with mora and everything that comes with it because he knows what it's like to scrape by, alone, living off the land.

So Kinich doesn't say anything at all.
