New year, new RotBTD (compilation) art! I’ve created so MUCH more art compared to last year!

I don’t have much to say about this year’s work, however I started integrating Astrid more into my drawings - she’s badass and I love her! I think she’d be an awesome addition to the group.

I have to say… I loved the spin-off series of HTTYD “Dragons - Race to the Edge”. Please, please watch the episode 5 “Big Man on Berk”. It’s hilarious! And this is fanart of the best scene! ↓

I actually drew this for my brother - we laminated and it hanged in this room! He loved it so much… To this day, we still quote it and laugh together! -

I love mericcup. And I drew this with the purpose of making a simple but cute animation of them! Here’s the result:

I also worked in a lot of AUs, specially the modern AU: the big four five represented as normal teenagers living the HS life! (It’s my favorite)

Obviously, I couldn’t forget my beloved Hogwarts AU! Everyone agrees on this: Merida and Astrid in Gryffindor, Jack Frost and Ruffnut in Slytherin, Rapunzel belongs to Hufflepuff and Hiccup to Ravenclaw.

I also worked on other, random projects! Honestly, there was no goal… simply ideas that came to mind, like: “what if Rapunzel was in a apocalyptic world?”; “what would they look like if they were demons?”; “Merida would look cute as a mermaid!”

It was so fun exploring these ideas!

Hiccup was too focused on eyeing two men with an oh so familiar brand on their skin to pay attention to the loudly cheering crowd. He was watching those two for a week now and he still couldn't understand what business the Hunters had in this land. Whatever it might have been, it was no good.

He shifted and signed. If they wanted to strike, to do it right now would be most beneficial. But what for?

Whats your favorite thing about your favorite ship? Like how you think they interact with each other/headcanons and what drew you to it/reason it's a favorite? :D

My top favourite ship is mericcup.

Mericcup is my favourite because I think they find really well together. I think that merida and hiccup have a lot in common and what differences they have complement each other. They both seek adventure and freedom and have a lot of expectations placed on them from their family/society.

Big fan of Scottish + Viking. There’s a lot of fanfics and headcanons that I think are fun with these two, like if Berk was one of the clans that merida was going to be married off to, and then they spend time together and fall in love… also the fact that hiccup as a child was curious and would go looking for trolls, and merida from a young age believed in magic. I could see them getting along as children looking for wisps or other magic/folklore type.

I’m also a huge fan of jackunzel, but I relate a lot to merida and I’m in love with hiccup (ignore the fact my partner looks like hiccup jkdchxwbjdc) so I like being able to put myself in Merida’s shoes when I find amazing fan art or fanfics of the two!

But I’m curious to know what your favourite ship is and why!
