DO U HAVE ANY ANGSTY SEAN HEADCANONS??? OR ANY AT ALL??
DO I HAVE ANGSTY SEAN HEADCANONS???!? Is my tumblr url sushisocks??? I'm including just a couple non-angsty ones that are v important to me bcz we're here to have fun, after all lolol
Lets start out with a light one; Sean absolutely has ADHD and dyslexia. Everybody knows Sean can't read, but nobody asks WHY Sean can't read despite frequent opportunities to learn. Based on the camp interactions with Lenny, we know he has been willing to attempt to learn, but has given up. This reads a lot more like learning disability to me, than it does laziness!!
In a similar vein; Sean taking frequent naps/falling asleep a lot is because he's a light sleeper - he has had a hard time falling asleep and staying that way ever since his father got murdered in his bed by the law. Left an impression Sean can't really shake even when surrounded by friends and allies - it's easier to nap when it's light out and people are awake in the area. Combine that with the ADHD and suddenly he's sleeping when he's not supposed to - like on guard duty.
Btw Sean has REAL BAD nightmares so that doesn't help at ALL either
Sean's mom probably passed when he was very young - he doesn't have any tangible memories of her in the same way he does his dad. Telling stories about him is how Sean keeps the only real family he had alive.
SIMILARLY I imagine it was just the two of them fleeing to America together; Sean was right there when Darragh got killed in his sleep - I imagine him waking up to a gunshot tbh.
In previous posts I've talked some about Sean's parallels and similarities to Arthur. Consider; Sean having similar self-esteem issues as Arthur, but instead of being quiet and disparaging about it, Sean covers it up by boasting and talking a big game. Nobody tries to talk Sean up because they all think he has a big ego, and it sort of just feeds into the insecurities Sean already has & is trying to avoid thinking about.
Also; Sean is generally an open book about his feelings, but he struggles a LOT with being truly vulnerable or getting at the deeper stuff. He'll also always downplay and make a joke out of truly traumatic and desperate situations he's been in. Though he DOES tell you what happened, he's chuckling and acting like it's nothing. (This isn't even a headcanon, he actually does this very consistently. It's why Karen is so mad at him in that one camp interaction after the party lol)
The only times Sean feels comfortable not being The Camp Clown is when Dutch isn't around, with a limited amount of people to witness. He still feels weird about the fact that he did actually try to kill him, when they first met, like he actually pulled the trigger (I feel like people are prone to forget this abt him), and he's never sure if Dutch might resent or distrust him a little for it. Same goes for Hosea.
A MacSummers one I came up w on discord literally yesterday; Sean has a Claddagh ring heirloom he got from his late mother through his late father. He gifts it to Lenny at some point, who doesn't realize the symbolism, just the sentimental value. Lenny wears it on a chain around his neck.
The previous one could work for MacJones too but tbh I think it hits harder for MacSummers lol (im biased)
Sean blocked out a lot of what he experienced while holed up at Ike Skelding's; the teethpulling and the burned feet were probably some of the lighter things he had to endure.
Sidenote the fact that his feet were fucking burned being as brushed off as it is makes me fucking insane. How bad were they burned Sean? Are you in pain atm? Should you be walking?

You know, I read a theory that even makes sense that Kenjaku has an agreement with Geto and that Geto is conscious and knows what's going on, but I think Geto doesn't want to wake up because he has no motivation on earth, he lost his daughters and his Friend, I think he knows what's happening but he doesn't want to go back. What do you think of this theory? sorry for the text
Hi there, anon!!
Kenjaku having to enter a Binding Vow with a previous host (even if they manifest as no more than a lingering apparition in a form of muscle memory and whatnot) when changing bodies is quite an interesting suggestion! It somewhat ties neatly into the 'body vs. soul' discourse we've seen established in the manga. The two are repeatedly rendered inseperable within the story, two sides of the same coin, so whereas Kenjaku's Cursed Technique encompasses the physical body, something else may be needed to bind the soul. This would imply that Kenjaku's immortality is not entirely a product of their innate abilities, but a result of innovation and inventive application of those. How much experimentation did it require for them to figure out optimal conditions for that vow? That seems to be very much in Kenjaku's 'mess-around-and-find-out' fashion, if you ask me. And though I myself gravitate towards a different interpretation -- one that views this 'soul-binding' process as an organic, built-in effect of Kenjaku's CT -- since we don't know the exact mechanics of it, this theory has a right to exist!
Moving on to your next point, I strongly agree with your assessment that Geto has no motivation/desire to carry on with his life. Perhaps 'meaning' in this case would be a quite fitting word, too, because if he was to ever come back to life his resumed existence would lack, at least in his own view, that very thing -- meaning. Justifying past actions and past mistakes retroactively, trying to assign some greater meaning to what was rather an impulsive, emotionally driven reaction of someone who was struggling mentally for a long time with no one batting an eye, compartmentalizing complex reality into imaginary categories -- doing all that Geto essentially ran himself into a corner, a mental dead-end. In an attempt to validate himself and perhaps shut out the overwhelming sense of guilt that would otherwise eat him alive, Geto made delusional, twisted reasoning the core truth of his existence, a basis for his purpose.
What I find particularly interesting is that Geto, being himself the victim of the jujutsu society's dysfunctional system, clearly recognised its shortcomings, but attributed those to a factor only partially at fault. The telltale sign of that, as I see it, would be his confession that he never held any spite against those in Jujutsu High. This renders Geto's antagonism towards non-sorcerers misplaced. The system was put in place for a reason, it's true, but those in favour of whom that system was established should not be held accountable for its injustices. Instead of trying to improve the order, Geto opted for eliminating the reason it exists in the first place.
Where that leaves him is caught up in a struggle to achieve the impossible, breach that accursed gap between the ideal and reality. Even if Geto's goal wasn't impossible for anyone but one person alive, Gojo Satoru, his decade-long endeavour to wipe all non-sorcerers out of existence would still be in vain, meaningless. Because that simply would bear no fruit in regard to fixing the corrupt mentality that rules over the sorcerers' world.
And if it all was for nothing, just fumbling desperately for some solution, for some relief of the burden thrust upon his fellow sorcerers, futile in the end? What if what he put his life on the line for was never going to solve anything, what if he was not reaching anything with it? What if he was wrong all along? It is straight-up terrifying, to drown and erase yourself fully in pursuit of your goal and understand that all you've done, you've done in vain, misguided, wrong. And Geto couldn't undo what he'd done. He could not afford to look back, to slow down, to revaluate and reset, try to set things right. Acknowledging his fault would've been like staring into the sun. So he didn't. He kept pushing forward until he simply no more could. That's why, in my view, Geto's plan regarding the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons reads as low-key passively suicidal. He chose a meaningful way to end his life -- one that would entrust his legacy to his family, make his goals, his ideal, known to both sides. In that regard, his death is no different from Gojo's: he dies so that his dream could live on. Little did he know that this too, in fact, would be meaningless.

//META + Family? ~Starlighttrain
@starlighttrain || prompt! ||
ooc. Family: While he does seem to have a healthy concept of family, there is some twisted viewing of it. Unfortunately that happens when you're abandoned at a young age and picked up by a cult.
It might teeter on pseudo-incest so read more is needed. As well as tw for possibly that. But if you wanna skip that for now I will say Sampo does know it's wrong and doesn't have those feelings for those outside of the Masked Fools. Or anyone at all that he views as a sibling.
Right so the pseudo-incest. Given how the Masked Fools seem to call each other "brothers" and "sisters" there might be some conflicting feelings between the young Masked Fools vs the older ones.
For example: Sampo being yeeted into the group at a young age did have a fling with Sparkle despite her being his "sister". It didn't go anywhere aside from a handful of disappointing nights relating to his own personal issues and him finding out he's not actually attracted to women in that manner.
Meanwhile, say a random Masked Fools who joined at their 20s and upwards probably already had a better idea and handling of the world around them. And would only take the term "brother" and "sister" less seriously than someone who was raised in it. (Aka Sampo)
But as I said once Sampo is away from the Masked Fools he does a lot of introspection on himself and the relationships he has with other people. It disgusts him now, as an adult for having done those things despite both he and Sparkle consenting to the actions.
But as always with my darker headcanons, it can easily be left out for rps as my partner's mental health is more important.

4. Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like)
(besides TICKETYS)
IT'S TICKETYS!!!
Now that we've settled that, thank you for the ask, friend, and I suppose I can pick my second favorite piece of writing for this one. 😁
I think it might actually be this paragraph**, from for the age of the earth, and after:
Before tonight, Bond had always thought of creation as a furious thing, had imagined Earth formed in fire and catastrophe, in ice and violence. There’s some of that here, too, he thinks, a searing need coursing just below the surface like a river of molten rock. But the history of the Earth is so vast that it’s written in geologic time, in eons and eras, epochs and ages; in a call and response of oceans and mountains, faultlines and tectonic plates. In movements imperceptible but ceaseless, toward, and toward, and toward.
I'm proud of this fic in general, and this paragraph in particular, because I took a risk with it: I wrote a short fic that, in terms of plot, is essentially just 800 words worth of two people having sex with each other for the first time, but is also about the passage of time, how the geology of the earth shapes us***, how love comes before us and lingers long after, and about the concept of the sublime, especially the idea of beauty that takes our breath away, even as it has the power to destroy us. Ambitious? Yes! A really weird combination of things to want to write about? Almost certainly. But I don't know that anything I've ever written has ever come this easily, or this quickly, which is usually a sign for me that I needed to do it.
**this will probably only be my favorite until I can find a way to work "está fuera de sí y con sed de venganza" into one of my fics. Stay tuned.
***I would be remiss not to give an extra thank you to @foxsoulcourt -- Cory's gorgeous photos of Yosemite were the very first seed for this fic, too!
Thank you for this, @dude-watchin-with-the-brontes! It's hard to talk about being proud of things but we should all do it more, I think. 💜

For Mari: What plot points would change due to the inclusion of your character in canon?
Besides your face/voiceclaim, who do you think would be cast as your character?
What fan-material would exist for your character in fandom?
Is your character the subject of ‘imagines’ or ‘x reader’ style blogs?
What is the wildest crackship you can imagine for your character, whether in-universe or in crossover?
META ASKS: If Your OC Was Canon
HI BBY💕 I will answer these for Mari as much as I can.
What plot points would change due to the inclusion of your character in canon?
Well obviously what happens to Rex in his life would change. He would have someone to go to for help after order 66 and someone who would always be with him for the rest of his life. He'd have kids, a little jedi son..he would've gotten to live a more full life than he was denied in canon.
Besides your face/voiceclaim, who do you think would be cast as your character?
Hmmmm...I'd really have to think on this because I just LOVE my faceclaim for Mari so much. Possibly Maya Jama could work. Overall vibe of her as a person is right hehehehe.
What fan-material would exist for your character in fandom?
Oh dude there'd be quite a lot I think. I think just based on how much she so deeply loves Rex people would be obsessed with them as a couple. But I wouldn't be surprised if people shipped her with Padme or other clones she's close with like Fox or Fives...or even ones she does not get along with like Wolffe.
Probably lots of pin up art drawn of her too because shes quite the dynamo of a woman and shes so outspoken I could see people wanting to draw her likeness quite a bit.
Is your character the subject of ‘imagines’ or ‘x reader’ style blogs?
HAHA yeah probably. She's just so pretty and sexy I could totally see her drawing that kind of attention.
What is the wildest crackship you can imagine for your character, whether in-universe or in crossover?
I said a little bit above but the wildest ones I could think of would be:
Mari and Padme - They work so well together I could see people liking this haha.
Mari and Wolffe - They are kinda like....enemies at first. They don't like each other but they're both super slutty....there's a very deliciously compelling story that could be told there.
Mari and Fives - Again because they're both slutty and charming and playful in the best way. They would've had a lot of fun together.

Would you be willing to answer 5 and 7 of the meta oc questions for Percy?
5. What kind of abilities and power level does your oc have? Why did you give them their powers? What's the in-universe reason?
I decided to give Percy body magic and catalyst magic (after the devil pact). Body magic as it was shown with Dante, seemed to be only effective when used on the user's own body.
I wanted it to have some sort of a double meaning for Percy, that if body magic truly only works on the user, it gives him a reason to be self-serving because "he can always just patch himself up". On the other hand, it could mean that he has to learn to put himself first.
But if body magic could be used to alter another person's bodily tissues, younger!Percy would've mainly used it to heal others. Older!Percy who has a much better grasp of it, uses it to disguise himself, use it as leverage against others or heal himself.
Percy uses catalyst magic to combine his magic with others, either to provide support or to take over the front lines. This one I didn't intend to do, but it aligned perfectly to what value I wanted Percy to learn: he can rely on others just as much as they rely on him.
7. Does your oc have any notable skills or good personality traits? Why did you give them those traits? Why do they exist in-universe?
I initially outlined Percy as a vagabond of some sort, with little to no recollection of his previous life while still retaining the traits he had in the past. As i started writing more about his backstory, I realized what had ended up happening was I had given him a clean slate.
He used to be in charge of everything and everyone (the strong big brother figure), something he was raised to do with having younger siblings that look up to him. He's never willing to compromise at the cost of someone's life (even if he knew it was impossible to save/help everyone). They're an altruist, but it was also their downfall when they got captured after helping their friend run away. The revolution dissolved during his absence, as his friends believed he'd died or was going to be used as a pawn.
They remind me of my own stubbornness despite being in a hopeless situation. He provides hope to his subordinates but he never has the time to seek out better ways to do it. At some point they felt that they've been lying to others and themselves so their first instinct is to salvage everything they can (Elaine and the organization by surrendering himself).
When he lost his memory, he had a lot of misplaced energy and he'd changed his views of altruism with the years he'd spent trying to survive through the Grand Magic Zone. He didn't turn selfish or anything drastic, he just started looking out for himself more, especially with Havres hounding him everytime to conserve his mana, or to always keep himself well fed.
Havres tells him its his chance to find a life for himself, forget about remembering and just spend whatever time he has in his hands. For the first time in a long while he had someone tell him what to do, but somewhere in the back of his head he wishes he could do something grander than living. A purpose that would feel good for them.
I can't think of a more miserable character I've made aside from him.

meta asks - 2 and/or 24, please!
2. Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project
I'm really excited to do my Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility crossover I have been planning. Where we will see them come together for I have a theory that I am currently also writing a fic for that entwined them further.
Jane may roll over in her grave but meh her fault for laying the foundations. ;)
24. Would you say your writing has changed over time?
Undoubtedly! Both has gotten worse and better because what used to work doesn't anymore so I have to get creative with things.

Hello! I hope you’re having a wonderful day!!! 💚
Could I ask 6, 8, & 20 for the meta asks?
What character do you have the most fun writing?
This is such a hard question, because I love writing for Loki- but lately I’ve been so into Moonknight (Steven & Marc). Honestly, I think I have the most fun writing them. At least at the moment!
Is what you like to write the same as what you like to read?
Definitely! Although, I’m sure there are some fics and books I’ve read, that fall way out of my comfort zone as a writer!
Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
Tears Ricochet and Begin Again’s last lines echoing each other. He will find a way, he has too. & So he will learn to be okay with that, he has to.
I set up the reader in Double the Trouble to be Marc & Steven’s soulmate from the very beginning- them being able to see Marc, Steven, and Khonshu in reflections, Khonshu’s obsession with the reader becoming his avatar, & the crescent scar. + The reader and the boys relationship develops between parts 1-4, to a place where the reader feels comfortable enough to voice their thoughts aloud. + The orderly passing through the reader in the beginning of part 5, foreshadows them becoming Osiris avatar later in the same part.
I definitely could have worded all of this better, but sick me says I need a nap. <3

bro it makes me so mad how ppl say sean didn’t need a break after getting recused by the bounty hunters becuz he got a party but whats ur opinions on it???
Obviously, I think way too much about Sean, and read very much into a lot of smaller things when it comes to him. I imagine the people who say Sean didn't need a break after his rescue would think I read too much into his character, and I may perhaps even be hit with a 'its not that deep bro', but that has never really stopped me, lol.
And I will wholeheartedly disagree with those who say he did not need a break. I think believing that, taking this aspect at face value, is disregarding one of the game's strongest points; environmental storytelling. A lot of what we learn about the gang members in this game, is through just hanging out at camp. Not only do you get to be privy to scenes and interactions that tell us about the interpersonal dynamics, but the characters also have daily routines and habits that tell you things about them!
And see, in Horseshoe, sometimes Sean walks funny at camp even without having had anything to drink ahead of time. You could read this as a bug but I personally think there's a more obvious reason behind it. He's quick to sit down or lean against things, during his shifts on watch AND otherwise. Other people here on tumblr have pointed out how he barely eats, or clearly struggles to.
Now consider what Sean actually TELLS us, in his rescue mission. He had his teeth pulled, his feet burned. And I don't know about you, but that sure does sound like things that would leave a mark - not necessarily a visible one, but one that would affect behavior, because pain does.
When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I was on painkillers for days after. I also had one done at a time, so that I could use the opposite side of my mouth to chew my food while one side healed, and I still struggled to eat.
Do you think Sean was shown the same courtesy?
He has a front tooth missing - in what world is eating comfortable? Do you think he has the strength, then, to be up on his feet all the time? Feet which, most likely, are still healing from being burned??? Like, what is the logic in taking Sean being fine at face value, here?? Do we actually believe Dutch is a good and competent leader, now?!?
And like, I'll say it, Sean 100% played down what he'd been through. I could go on at length about my thoughts about the reasons why, as pertaining to the role he performs in the gang, excitement and relief and adrenaline about being free again, not wanting to appear weak, etc etc. But I also do think, then, that it's almost a little bit silly to not extend him the same courtesy as we do many of the other characters of this game, and consider what this experience might actually have been like for him.
Sean, Arthur, and Javier were all kidnapped and tortured. All three of them. And they all had it real fucking bad. Can we, like, let ourselves sit with that for a moment? And acknowledge that Sean had it just as bad as the other two??
He was also stuck in that situation for the longest!!! At least two fucking weeks, minimum, while Javier and Arthur's experiences were for -- two to four days?
The difference is of course that Arthur and Javier both had their experiences shown on screen, and they both got to rest afterwards.
Sorry, that was a bit of a tangent, back to the party thing.
Ultimately, Sean is given a party because the gang needs a party. They are still recovering after Blackwater and Colter; they are in dire need of levity and fun, which is given through something to celebrate. They need a distraction. These are the things which Sean performs and gives the gang; the party isn't even really for him; it's for what he represents, and what his return represents. The party isn't what he needs, and he sure as hell was not well enough to just jump back into action.
What he needs, what he should have had, is a break after the shit he went through. He wasn't given permission for that though, not from their leader and not socially from anyone else, and furthermore he didn't really give himself permission for it. You have to do his rescue mission before pouring forth oil, because the second Sean is back, he's looking for jobs, and he wants in on the train robbery.
He's working, immediately.
(The fact that people actually believe him lazy just because he doesn't do as much as Arthur, the gang's workhorse, after returning from being held and tortured by bounty hunters, is insane to me. Yall are gonna believe Arthur about that?? According to him, all the guys in camp save Charles are lazy!)
Idk, what I find the strangest about takes like these is like... Most of the other characters are worthy of discussion, analysis, and discourse. But - not even the game, but characters in the game, who show themselves to have their own faults and prejudices as well - tell us Sean is lazy and easy-going and fun and that's all he is, and we believe it? Where did the critical thinking go??

meta + wildfire and meta + the moles (give me all the feels)
@aventvrina || prompt! ||
ooc. Wildfire: Canon says Sampo gifted Seele her weapon. I imagine that he also brings weapons to the Underworld, given how riddled with Fragmentum monsters there are. You'd think they'd be safe but no, sadly even below is filled with them. Sampo likes to say he was bullied into joining them by Oleg (under Natasha's orders) but truthfully he would've joined them anyways. They're honest hard working people who just want to make a living. Sampo can respect that. He also admires the fact they haven't given up hope when it's been hopeless for so long.
The Moles: As I've said before, Sampo takes the role of "big brother" rather easily. The Moles are no different. He's fine with them taking on dangerous challenges, after all, he was challenged in his youth (surviving his snowy home planet with his mother with little money and food). But he is a bit wary since only Hook has elemental powers/a path while the other two don't. So he tends to follow them around a bit just to make sure they're fine.
The Moles also seem to be the only group outside of the Masked Fools who have accepted him wholeheartedly and that genuinely makes the old Fool cry. Though he'd never tell them that (to either group). He's always nostalgic around them, remembering how he, Sparkle and Zhongshan used to play in the Tavern as kids before ultimately having to find Elation in their own ways and becoming their own people.
Sampo doesn't hate Sparkle. He's simply not fond of the person she became. There's some guilt there for not being there enough for her, not being enough of a big brother as he thought he was. So he definitely tries to rectify this with The Moles (and honestly anyone else he considers a sibling).
Though there is some issues with what is a sibling in Sampo's eyes but that's getting into a different topic.

18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.
Hi again, @dude-watchin-with-the-brontes! 💜 Thank you for this ask, too, friend.
I think the cheeky answer would be that Love Letters definitely does--because it was written as a Choose Your Own Adventure, I had loosely plotted out several different paths and endings it could have taken, including one where Bond finds Q on the train to Bath, ones where Bond gets advice from Moneypenny or Tanner instead of Felix (and so the letter he writes in the end is different), etc. It was so much fun and also a *lot*. 😁
The non-cheeky answer (and also omg sorry in advance for the serious turn this is about to take, forgive me) is that This Little Light of Mine was originally a getting-together fic, with a more explicitly romantic plot line. Many of the details of the fic were the same, but the ending was a romantic one. And I ultimately ended up setting that aside (though as I think I flagged in the tags/notes, it can still be read as pre-slash if readers want to read it that way), because it was really important to me to have that fic recognize the ways humans can care for and love each other in community outside of romantic relationships.
And that was important to me because in many ways, this fic was about grief--specifically, the (mostly) unacknowledged grieving Bond was doing for M.
At the risk of oversharing (sorry again), in 2021 I had two miscarriages, six months apart, one at eleven weeks pregnant, and another one at ten. It was absolutely devastating--they were very much wanted pregnancies, and my wife and I had heard their heartbeats at the doctor and were already very much attached to the idea of another person in our family. And I've never felt grief quite like that, before, and one thing that I never expected and am so deeply, in-my-bones grateful for is how phenomenal my coworkers were that year. They dropped off meals (and sometimes alcohol), they offered to watch our son so my wife and I could have some time, they covered my portfolios at work when I was out on leave, and as the months passed, they recognized how mired I still was in grief and found things to involve me in that moved me gently and kindly forward.
That kind of love is priceless, and it isn't romantic at all, and I want to write about those things, too.
Thanks for giving me the chance to write about this, I hope that's okay. 💜

JULIEEEEEEE WHAT WOULD THE REX/MARI SHIP DISCOURSE BE
META ASKS: If Your OC Was Canon.
omfg I feel like I could write NOVELS about this one but I think the Rex and Mari ship discourse would be rocky at first.
I honestly think some people would be mean and think that she isnt good enough for someone as amazing as him. but the more canon events go on and the more she reveals how much she cares about him as a man (and the clones as a whole as individual people) I think she'd win people over.
people are understandably protective of Rex...like how could you not be? but it takes like...a woman who has it all to truly be deserving of a person as perfect as he is.
ALSO ive talked a little bit about how I think Rex and Mari's relationship is a foil to Anakin and Padme's. Rex and Mari are an example of how putting the good of the galaxy ahead of themselves eventually resulted in the galaxy (and maybe the force itself) keeping them together. Both of them would always be willing to let the other go if it meant that they could accomplish things that would make the galaxy better. They are the example of how attachment and love in this setting can be done RIGHT. Compared to Anakin and Padme...both of whom in some way were not willing to let the other go or move on from them until it was too late and the damage was done. I just felt it was fitting that Rex would not make the mistake his General did (tho he did not know), hes truly the better man.

3. What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need? (consider this permission to write it and/or share it anyway)
soooo many in the ffau. some roman/seth stuff specifically because their 2021-22 dynamic is so tasty and Even Tastier in the ffau. the adam-cole-gets-Changed scene of the ffau. god like half the wingfic is scenes i want to write and that's why i haven't gotten around to it. hmm. probably more. oh like a thousand individual scenes from the demons au or the craigslist au, neither of which exist anywhere but my dms with lucy. god
18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.
djfks All Of Them. there are about three different ffau variants (1.0 / dark witch adam page / page and matt co-parenting their pet adam cole). warm blood has the alternate ending where he texts matt instead of nick. OH a while back i reread warm blood and thought about a version where mox calls adam good boy and adam has a gender about it. demons again............

Hiya Rine!! I shall be glad to answer all three! >:3
5. What character that you’re writing do you most identify with?
While a lot my personality traits align best with Caspar’s, I identify with Shan quite a bit. While she’s half my age right now, it feels like we’re both feeling our ways around the introduction of a new world to our usual normals. Shan finds herself between ‘living in the real world’ and pursuing what’s considered fiction; I’m in this transitional stage of my life, prepping to move out but not there just yet.
Dunno if this is tracking at all, it made way more sense in my head.
6. What character do you have the most fun writing?
Ooooh, hm. I’m leaning toward Lyall. He’s quick-witted (if a bit impulsive), equal parts brilliant and utterly idiotic, he has a small chaotic streak (knife cat vibes), but impassioned and to be taken seriously--
I like to think all my characters are wonderful, stinky little layered onions, but he’s probably my stinkiest and most dynamic. :)
20. Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)
I WANT TO TALK ABOUT HILD ANd her relationship with Lyall. Let me preface with: They’re nice people and they like each other, and I certainly do not seek to feed into the ‘siblings who hate each other just for the sake of it’ trope--
But they’re both sharp-tongued, semi-petty, and can get way too competitive for what’s considered reasonable. They argue a lot, and they’re a hoot together. But there’s backstory-related context as to why they don’t get along for quite a bit.
To sum it up, their dynamic starts off with a lot of ‘prodigal son and his brother’ elements to it; Lyall being the prodigal son, and Hild being the elder brother (even though she’s younger). Penny and Sparrow songs ‘Thunder’ and ‘Honest Wage’ characterize this perfectly. Taking them from this place of constant (hurtful/unhealthy) conflict to more good-natured teasing and outwardly caring about one another, has been great fun for me. There’s been hurt between them (for various reasons), then much slow healing and individual growth, and I think all of that really shines when they begin to bridge back the gap they put between themselves.
