I just used Mixcraft's built-in vocal remover to fade the vocals from the audiobook recording, which isn't great, but there's no way I'm finding an instrumental of this out in the wild and acapella singing requires a level of vocal control I simply don't have. And I'm not making my own backtrack from scratch for a mic test.

If there are weird artifacts in the recording, it's 50% because this was a mic test and holy crap did I need a mic test and 50% because Tumblr won't take a high-quality audio output and I'm not using up precious space on my free SoundCloud account for a mic test. I usually don't feel the need to get defensive about this but man it did a number on this one. I'm still reasonably happy with how it came out tho.
