I know everyone’s entitled to their own opinion and how they view a character, but the way some people mischaracterize female characters such as Krul or Shinoa is genuinely mind boggling and unsettling to see how they’re all belittled into something they’re not and it definitely has to do with sexism.

Shinoa is not a yandere and her entire existence isn’t based of Yuu, she is in love with him but lets remember that shinoas a teenage girl in a time where the worlds fallen apart, she has no parent figure, no sense of identity and shes never been treated as a human being. The only parental figure she did have was a lovesick girl and made her entire life center around her lover, Shinoa witnessing that at the ripe age of 5-6 definitely had an affect on how her brain worked and how she viewed love.

Besides all of that, shes a teenager and falling in love is normal and expected. She doesn’t know how love works yet, shes confused and right now it’s looking like shes consuming Yuu into her soul and moreover shes losing even more self purpose. She has no selfish desires that are about her and of course when your abused and experimented on from a young age. You’re not gonna grow up normal and mentally stable😭

I might make a post about krul but bottom line is shinoa isnt a yandere, she doesn’t deserve hate at all, shes also not getting in the way of mikayuu since that’s impossible. She has so much layers to her character and its all been dismissed as her being a yandere and getting in the way of mikayuu all. Its all really stupid

⫍ MitsuYuu (Mitsuba Shagu x Yuichiro Hyakuya) — This ship is a good one, certainly, but due to my dislike for Mitsuba and my intense love for MikaYuu, this won't go any higher. Otherwise, it's a perfectly normal ship.

⫍ YoiNoa (Yoichi Saotome x Shinoa Hiiragi) — This is also a great ship, or at least by the ship standards, but again, I have a deep rooted dislike fot Shinoa and I can't really ship her with many people because of that.

⫍ GureMahi (Guren Ichinose x Mahiru Hiiragi) — Listen, I know this is canon, but I don't think that they have any chemistry, to be brutally honest. We didn't see any sort of development between these two, at least not as much as other potential ships.

⫍ GureYuri (Guren Ichinose x Sayuri Hanayori) — This could work out, but again, there wasn't enough development for me to like them. It's not a terrible ship and I can understand why some people like it, but for me it's... eh.

⫍ YuuNoa (Yuichiro Hyakuya x Shinoa Hiiragi) — No. Just... no. I never liked this ship, I'll never like it, and I also hate Shinoa's behavior towards Yuu with passion. MikaYuu for life hoes.

Don't you think it's funny cause actual canon gay characters in BL manga will say "I love you" but only the shounen bromance can spew out some of the most romantic shit akin to a 19th century poet writing a letter expressing his surpressed love for his lover 😭.....

It's why I still keep going to unconfirmed ships instead of the canon ones. Like seriously what's all this "My Six Eyes tell me you are Geto Suguru....but my heart and my soul know otherwise!" and "I'm with you till the end of the line" and whatever the heck Bakugou and Deku have going on these days. I heard MikaYuu from Serapth of the End became somewhat canon too lol.

Everyone knows what 'I love you' means, but you can't understand the depth of someone's feeling with an 'I love you'. It's like writing advice when people say "show don't tell", it forces you to get more creative in describing the depth of what's happening. "I love you" feels like showing, like we're pointing to those three words and that's it. But going "He is half my soul, as the poets say" shows how deep this feeling is.

Shonen bromances have a restriction on saying words like 'love' or 'like' because that's so gayyyyy dude like that's so weiirrrddd, so it just ends up sounding like the gayest shit ever when they describe what they feel towards one another(the whole, "you were so homophobic you looped back around to being gay"). You can't have a guy going "we are two sides of the same coin, if you cleave us in the middle we will both seize to be of value, our existences will be meaningless" about his rival/bff and to his gf go "yeah I like you". THERE'S A DIFFERENCE.

I hope canon romances rely less on "I love you" too because frankly that restriction leads to some truly unhinged shit being put to paper that I eat up.

First of all, we still don't know what happened to them after this chapter. Second of all, the mika and yuu we know are still seperate people with seperate bodies and minds. Even if yuuichirou is actually angel Mikaela, we still don't know who tf vampire Mika is?? Seriously does he not have any soul, or is he actually the eyeball yuu? Anyway I like the idea of mikayuu being fused in one way or another. And don't forget,they are Two Souls Towards the Truth

I hope mikayuu fans won't come to hate the manga story just because something didn't go their way ONCE (srsly u can hate the manga for any other thing but this? Nah)

Shikama: Is this, too, divine punishment? This is such a rocky road to travel. Not to mention these dolls will just be repeating not even hundred year long existences, I wonder how much darkness they'll be able to collect. This...could be a long fight.

Mikayuu: ...huh. I kinda feel like there's something I have to do.

Yuu: I see.

Yuu: I remember a little more now. So in other words-I found you, Mika.

Mika: You found me. Don't you think you're a little late, though?

Yuu: Well it's not like I have any memories to work with here. Do you?

Mika: None. I feel like we wouldn't be able to bear recovering them, though. It's too long of a story not to fall into despair.

Yuu: Makes you think about how bad the vampires have it, huh. They live a long time.

Mika: You're right, it seemed that way with Krul too.

Yuu: What's life even for then? If everyone just dies anyways? And then forgets everything.

Mika: Yeah.

Yuu: So then what are we living for? What are we bringing everyone back for? What am I turning you back into a human for?

Mika: Look who's finally come around! I believe I've already answered this one.

Yuu: Remind me.

Mika: Let's run away somewhere together and live quietly. And then let's die at the end. That's our ending no matter what road we take.

Yuu: Oh, you did say that, asking me to run away. I'm really hearing Mika say that our end won't change no matter how hard we work, guess it's time to stop.

Mika: Oh come on.

Yuu: In other words, if I run away and die quietly somewhere, will that make you happy?

Mika: Hmm? I mean, I guess?

Yuu: But you don't have much life left to live, do you? Since if we keep up like this, you're going to turn into a full demon, right?

Yuu: I did. What's gonna happen if you become a demon? Taking my body or leaving? You'd never possess me, so you're gonna leave. Am I right?

Ok tysm, I feel way better after your response. I usually don’t have the patience to go back through the chapters, so knowing that you did and still agree with me makes me feel a lot less crazy lol. There’s just so many details that have got to be significant like you said. It can get a bit difficult trying to keep track of them all. And although we’re obviously gonna have to hold out for more information in order to fully understand this development, talking it out with you always helps me make more sense of wth is happening. Which I especially needed after seeing some ppl freaking out and saying that MikaYuu is dead bc it’s self-cest or something. Given the current info we have on our Mika’s past, we really can’t come to that conclusion yet. As of rn, the ship isn’t ruined for me and I think the story is gonna head in the direction of MikaYuu sharing a soul (aka gay soulmates) instead of them literally being the exact same person anyways. If the latter option is the case… May Sika Madu help us all 😇

I get that. It was a lot. Not a ton has happened considering it was 28 chapters worth of content, but 28 chapters worth of pages is a lot. It's not something I do frequently. It's really interesting to look at them KNOWING what Sika Madu's plan is now though. I wouldn't really call it foreshadowing, but a lot of the little things he does or says make more sense now.

As someone who both acknowledges the sheer amount of homoromantic subtext just piled into OnS, particularly Mika and Yuu (not even including Mika himself) while also acknowledging that I genuinely have no rep expectations from this series considering a) we've still got the cheapened version of the primary mlm ship in the female character that got a badly done copy of the main relationship as well as complete character assassination as soon as her one sided romantic declarations became her only personality trait and b) the author has a history of doing shoehorned awful het endgames after raising expectations for mlm pairs...

Then ofcourse there's the blood drinking which a) is already heavily steeped in homoerotic subtext b) their positioning is very suggestive and c) yea I'm sorry that whole melting into each other bit is a bit weird for bros being bros.
