Do you think that Mikey might admire Leo somewhat? Like as the youngest/oldest sibling kinda of way. Like he admires all three of his brothers, but with the oldest Hamato son there's like a more noticeable stance there. I'm talking about Mikey taking Leo's words of wisdom a bit more seriously, going to him to talk about issues, even copying a few of Leo's mannerisms unconsciously. Cuz like it's incredibly clear that Leo, no matter the universe has a huge soft spot for Mikey. I like to think that it goes both ways in some aspects.

So years ago, I wrote a certain TMNT fanfiction abd it still remains one of my favorite pieces I’ve done. I…might have started something tonight:

Splinter’s voice was heavy, full of unspoken concern and pain. The type of pain that lacked the proper words to convey. “We need to speak.”

Donnie pulled himself from his book. He hadn’t really been reading anyway, his mind on so much else. “Master Splinter?”

The aged martial arts master simply nodded as Raph appeared from the garage and Leo crept out of the dojo.

Mikey was noticeably absent. Splinter was aware but made no move to call for him.

“My sons…tonight, when your brother failed to regain his title, you all went after him. For that, I am very proud. But what happened?”

Raph shook his head. “Ain’t got no reason to be proud of us, Master. None at all.”

I was reading a fic I had written back in 2017 as part of a series. I got distracted by the TV show in the background, then switched to a new tab to do some research because it was a documentary about the rise of POC TV in the 1990s. I then flipped channels to a familiar adult cartoon that I already had watched a hundred times. Then I went back to reading the fic. And then I forgot that I wrote it and wondered who the hell thought exactly like me about these characters, when was the author going to update the series because oh damn the author oh damn.

Like, oh damn I have to write the stuff I want in order to read it.

Then again, a lot more people in the fandom have been writing what I want to read. And some of them told me it's because of me and my fics, the stuff I wrote back then. Like. Oh.

And now I'm sitting here with multiple unfinished chapters begging one of them to just tell me what the story wants. Otherwise I'm just going to throw angst at it.

Donnie would absolutely blow a fuse if someone ruined their books with how sacred he was to that mint condition comic, and I’m sure Mikey thinks cooking is an art. Cross either of them and it’s hell to pay!

I read a lot of book series that had been handed down to me by my siblings, but you could really tell whose they were before based on their condition. One sibling left foodstains and dog ears, another left spine breaks and ripped paperbacks, and the final would threaten my life if I so much as dented a page. Such is life with shared things

I guess you could say those books were well loved, for better or for worse lol

If the trademark Leonardo Hamato Instinct is basically Leo mothering/adopting everyone and everything and going to either cut something, stab someone or throw his swords at it, then the Michelangelo Hamato Instinct is basically Mikey stealing cars, possibly getting into fights with people/law enforcement and befriending everyone and everything.

And honestly I find that super funny.
