Dear lurkers,

I know you exist. I'd been one of you for over a decade. Continue being a lurker—much less trouble this way (I myself often consider yeet'ing all my existing accounts and retreat back to lurkness. I made the sensible decision to limit my interactions, as I'm not the most social being that exists, including online.)

I salute all of you who have no tumblr and ao3 accounts, but consume my content for fun and think I'm the biggest dad-joke humourist of this planet. Don't feel bad for never telling me how great (or bad) my jokes are. As long as you enjoy yourselves, that's the spirit!

The Hobbit/LotR fandom must think that us, Silmarillion/HoME fandom are a bunch of civilised and deeply knowledgeable people about the Legendarium. That is true. Faramir and Boromir mention the word 'Númenor' once and you lose us pausing the movie and giving a historical lecture about it, from Elros to Ar-Pharazôn, Elendil and Isildur.
