don't mind me i'm just dropping my review of dune part 2 here because i really really really loved this movie and it changed me on a molecular level and i can't stop thinking about it and everyone should watch it it's so good i'm not joking it's literally one of the best films i've ever watched. ok anyway, review:

I remember very clearly the day I finished Dune. I remember how I was sitting at the kitchen table, eating rice & beans with a spoon in one hand, and holding my dad's battered and loved mass market in the other hand. I remember how I read the final words and closed the book slowly. How I got up to go sit in my dad's home office and stare into space in disbelief at what I'd just read. I remember how I looked at my dad and I said "I can see why it's your favorite. I think it's mine too."

I saw Dune Part 2 on opening night, in IMAX, with my dad. And to say it was a night to remember is an understatement. I can say with full confidence that seeing this film is sure to become a core memory.

The sheer power of this film is something to behold. I don't think there was a single moment in those 166 minutes that I wasn't entirely immersed in the film, my eyes were glued to that screen like never before.

There were moments during the movie where I was genuinely frightened, moments that had me on the edge of my seat. I know how this story goes, I know how it ends, I know who lives and who dies. And yet...

Paul Atreides is a scary man by the end of this story. The transformation he undergoes after drinking the Water of Life is unsettling, and Timothee did a fantastic job of portraying it. Paul's speeches about how he is The One- The Lisan Al-Gaib- are damning. You can see how much he believes now that he must be the messiah and how deeply the Fremen believe in him, but you can also see how dangerous he is. The power in his words is scary because I know how much damage the search for one person to save us all can cause. His final speech instills a sense of breath-stealing deep in the audience. It's frightening and disturbing because I know that this kind of religious zealotry is not being played up for the sake of theatrics; it is very, very real.

Jessica's religious indoctrination is scarily accurate to the indoctrination I've witnessed in my own life. The way she talks of "converting the non believers" reminds me a little too much of how I was taught to share the Word of God with those who didn't believe in Christ or God while I was in catholic school. And while her own indoctrination is terrifying to witness, what is worse is watching how she spreads her propaganda amongst the Fremen. By the end, they believe that Paul will save them; rather than being saved by their own people.

Despite knowing that Stilgar's faith is largely due to Bene Gesserit propaganda that speaks of a messiah, I still find him to be an admirable character. His unwavering and unshakeable faith mimics the faith of many religious people I know in real life. I've always envied that kind of faith, the kind that prevails regardless of hardship or pain or loss. I sometimes wish I could have that kind of faith, I wish I could believe in something that strongly. Stilgar is not shaken by anything Paul or Chani or any other Fremen say. He believes with his whole being that Paul is the Lisan Al-Gain, and that he will save them all.

"I don't care what you believe. I believe!"

And it's just such a well crafted movie. Shai-Hulud looks so good in this film (the sand worm riding scenes were breathtaking). The cinematography, the soundtrack, the acting; everything feels so intentional. I'm so grateful this film exists.

This movie will stick with me for a while, if not forever. It so faithfully portrays not only the story but the themes of Dune. This film was clearly made with love, care, and adoration for the source material. I couldn't be more grateful.

As the film came to a close, as Jessica's final words rang in my ears, as I watched Chani prepare to ride Shai-Hulud, I did not know what to do with myself. As the credits began to roll everyone around me stood up while I stayed seated. As I peeled myself out of my seat to leave, the music that played rang throughout the theater. I was breathing heavy, I turned to my dad, and we concluded that this was a truly wonderful film.

in conclusion, i can die happy knowing my favorite novel of all time has been so perfectly adapted.

TW: Discussion of mental health challenges

Late Mar, 2025

It is such a beautiful day today! Everywhere I look, there are baby plants peeping through blankets of dead leaves. The creek has rinsed out most of the storm water. It’s back to a gentler flow, encouraging the water wheel on the mill to turn at its trademark lazy clip. Soft breezes are carrying the sweetness of Spring into the darker parts of the forest… even the most gnarly trees are dotted with cheerful green buds.

The world around me seems so bright and hopeful, from the smallest detail of a buzzing bee to the expansive sunset. I’m finding such vast displays of optimism almost daunting. My brain isn’t ready to be confronted by the mountain of evidence that life can be beautiful. When I examine my feelings, it’s true… I am actually feeling better. I can’t deny it yet I’m scared to believe it.

Joan stopped by again, unexpectedly. I’m not a huge fan of her pop-ins but she owns the buildings I live in. She was an old friend of my uncle and cut me a really good rent-to-own deal when I inherited the property. She keeps fretting over the dry house, which sits directly across the creek from the mill. The building is in need of repair but I don’t have any extra money to throw at it. Joan worries I’m going to get hurt by a falling beam or some other highly unlikely tragedy. It’s hard for me to hide my impatience with her but I felt like I was less rude to her than usual. That’s a small win!

I also received an invitation to speak at my old university. They’re hosting a lecture series and hope I can make the trip to give my talk on Gender Theory through the lens of Sonata Form. Much to my surprise, I’m actually considering it! A few weeks ago, it would have been out of the question but I think I’m finally getting my groove back. I still have some time to think about it, but it would be nice to revisit my research again.

While I’m loath to admit my friends (and annoying therapist) were right, I’m starting to shift in the right direction. I’ve been eating proper meals again and regularly taking my vitamins. I’m trying to take my therapy more seriously and my attitude has much improved during our sessions (of which, I’ve missed none!) I’m not wearing my pajamas all day and I’m even using my stupid phone! It has a nice camera on it. Instead of feeling resentful about packing it around on my hikes, I’ve decided to take pictures of the shadowy forest. Today I found an abandoned garden behind the treeline where daffodils still bloom. Once domesticated, now thriving in the chaos… how relatable.

Apart from slowly returning to a more functional state of being, I just feel better about myself. I didn’t realize I had gathered so much shame while I was at my lowest point. I wish it didn’t take so long for me to get it together, but I’m grateful to have friends who remind me of my power. Of course, thanks to Ravi and his “house calls,” I’m working through my guilt at lightning speed.

The man is hell-bent on making sure the changes I’m making are sustainable. He’s been coming over at least twice a week to check in. But instead of snooping around the mill, he insists on making me talk through everything… which is famously not my strong suit. I don’t mind giving Ravi a quick rundown of my routine but most follow-up questions (especially ones about my feelings) make me clam up. Then I either get grumpy or defensive. Needless to say, most of these talks have devolved into impromptu interrogations.

Ever since Shay provided sensitive intel about my vulnerable spots (revenge will be mine), Ravi has transformed into a tickle mercenary. He will shepherd me onto the couch before he begins peppering me with questions. How is therapy going? Did I go to the market? Am I sleeping on a normal schedule? If those answers satisfy him, he starts digging deeper. Am I able to focus during the day? Are there any pockets of time I can’t account for? Have I noticed anything triggering my moods?

Single-word answers do not satisfy him. It’s almost inevitable that some question will make me bristle, resulting in a hasty remark or a sassy tirade. In fairness, I can’t imagine anyone enjoying this amount of attention. That’s when he’ll start. He always makes sure he’s sitting close enough to strike. Most recently, to grab my knee and inflict firm squeezes that I have no defense against. His arm is too strong for me to remove, my laughter is impossible to hold back. I end up gripping his hand, insisting on how unfair he’s acting through my embarrassing howls.

Ravi will smile passively and say something like, “I think it’s more unfair that I’m giving up my lunch break to visit my most stubborn patient.”

He’ll repeat his question, never pausing his tortuous squeezes, raising his voice to make sure I can hear him above my racket. The first few times this happened, I had to test him. It’s not easy for me to talk about myself (as my frustrated therapist will attest to). I’ve also found that in these situations, I can often be more willful than my friends. Sure, I’m the one losing their mind but they’re on this journey with me. If I somehow held out longer than Ravi, I could enjoy the satisfaction of avoiding an uncomfortable conversation… even if that means a few minutes of insanity.

Unfortunately, my former roommate is on a mission. When I don’t cooperate, the line of questioning becomes much scarier. “Not in the mood to talk? Let’s try a different subject. Your knees are super ticklish… but do you think you’re more ticklish on your thighs?”

Following that, his strong hand would move up slightly and lock on the meatiest part of my leg, squeezing deep and rhythmic. It’s not one of those slow build-ups where my resistance gradually gives out. No, it’s me whooping and cackling and trying to claw my way off the couch. Escape is not an option. Large hands pull me back into place and continue wreaking havoc. I can hear the satisfaction in his voice, “Why are you yelling ‘no’?? I think the answer is obviously ‘yes’... your thighs are much more ticklish than your knees. Don’t you agree? Do you need more convincing? Should we try them both at the same time??”

The teasing is devastating. An arm wraps around my waist, locking me into place, as his free hand works its way up and down my trembling leg. Why did I think I had a chance against this?? I pay dearly for my overconfidence. Quick, savage grips on my knees. Deliberate, horrible kneading of my thighs. Am I laughing or am I screaming? Nerves on fire, hysteria escalating, mind shattered in a million pieces. It tickles so so so SO MUCH… I am in absolute ruins and it was my own doing.

I had a choice between a playful exchange and all-out torture. Ravi makes sure that point is clear as he grants me a moment to breathe. “Are you ready to use your words or would you prefer to shriek incoherently for another ten minutes?”

Yes! Words! I choose words!! Anything, please…! I’ll do anything…!! I’ll talk, god dammit!!

Ravi scoops me up, a puddle of my former self, and lets me rest against his chest. Conversation that seemed impossible moments ago now flows freely. Hands responsible for my destruction now comfort me, massaging my shoulders as fractured feelings find shape through my wavering voice. His fearsome fingers wipe away tears, his once-stern voice softens, reassuring me, telling me I’m doing the work, emphatic about his pride in my growth. I’m held. I’m supported. I’m safe.

Raito: I can’t seem to think of anyone else who would.

Kafka: This is… Nagi’s “farewell”, isn’t it?

Akuta: The living room smells amazing. It smells like a fairytale~!

Renga: Why would he do this…? I still haven’t thanked him for teaching me how to take care of the rose…

Kiroku: All the… flowers… are… in full bloom…

Ten: …Manager, what are you planning on doing about this?

Kafka: I’m sure they’ll work something out – things will be fine. That’s the sort of person they are.

Sakujiro: …It’s exactly as you say.

Momiji / Kaede: ……

Yodaka: ……

Daniel: Uhh… I guess I’ve got the gist of what happened yesterday. You’re trying to say that Nagi left, right?

Momiji / Kaede: Yes.

Toi: It’s my fault.

I asked Aa-chama to swap places with me and I ended up inflicting more unhappiness onto Nagi-kun.

Ryui: It’s not your fault, Toi. It’s mine because I said all those harsh things to him yesterday.

Netaro: Well, that would be my fault, then. I made Gii angry.

Ryui: Hey, how can you be reading in a time like this…?

Yodaka: “Read This When You’re At Your Wit’s End When It Comes To Relationships”, “The Courage To Be Hated”, “Complete Guide To The Psychology of Love”... That’s quite a pile of books you’ve brought with you.

Netaro: I wholly believe in science, after all. I’m lacking in my studies. I need to further my understanding of human logic.

(What does it mean to be “lonely”...?)

Momiji / Kaede: It’s no one’s fault. That’s what Nagi-kun said yesterday. He said it was his own personal issue.

Toi: But…

Daniel: There’s no point in talking about how someone might be feeling when they’re not even here. Shouldn’t we use this time to discuss what we should be doing in the future instead?

Yodaka: Yeah. Will our first tour that’s 2 weeks away be postponed?

Momiji / Kaede: Oh… I’d still like to go ahead with it, even if it means performing with just the 4 of you.

Ryui: Are you serious!?

Momiji / Kaede: I think it would make it even more difficult for Nagi-kun to return if we postponed or cancelled it.

There’s still a chance that he might come back just in time for the performance, too…!

Netaro: There’s also a chance that he’ll never come back, though.

Daniel: Only God knows what Nagi will do, huh…

Toi: Ah… I…!

Ryui: You don’t have to do a divination, Toi. You’re not at fault here and there’s no need for you to use their power, either.

Toi: Oh, okay…

Yodaka: In any case, what we need to do won’t change. If Nagi comes back, we’ll welcome him with open arms. If he doesn’t, we’ll prepare for the tour and go ahead with it without him.

To make it easier for him to return after the tour, let’s work hard to make his ideas a success.

Momiji / Kaede: (Yodaka-san, thank you so much…)

Yes. I’m sorry that we, the company, have to force you all like this, but will you all be willing to lend us your strength for Nagi-kun’s sake?

Toi: I’ll be glad to help, of course!

Ryui: Tch… fine.

Netaro: If it’s just the 4 of us, shall I provide us with 100 people~?

Momiji / Kaede: Hehe, thank you! I’ll be counting on you too, Daniel-san.

Daniel: Geez, having such passionate subordinates is gonna keep me busy, huh.

Yodaka: By the way, who will handle Nagi’s portion of work?

Momiji / Kaede: I’m thinking of handling that personally.

Yodaka: I know you’re determined, but everything will be meaningless if you collapse, Manager. How about having a temporary leader?

What do you say, Ryui?

Ryui: Huh?

Yodaka: You have a foul mouth, but deep down, you’re caring and have the qualities of a first-born son. You’re kindhearted to the point where you won’t be able to abandon anyone if you’ve already accepted them as one of your own.

*Ryui blushes slightly*

Ryui: Ugh…

Daniel: Plus, he’s also got a lotta common sense, is pretty smart and, surprisingly enough, has a strong sense of responsibility.

Ryui: What’d you mean by “surprisingly”...?

Yodaka: And what’s more…

If you made amends for your wrongdoings here, then wouldn’t it make it easier for you to hold your head high when Nagi comes back?

Ryui: ……

Momiji / Kaede: (I see…! By making Ryui-kun the temporary leader, we can mend the rift between him and Nagi-kun.)

Ryui-kun, I’d really appreciate it if you could be the temporary leader, but what do you say…?

Ryui: ……

…………… Fine. I’ll do it. Only until he comes back, alright?

Toi: Ani-sama!

Netaro: You’re so cool!

Ryui: …Tch. I’m gonna beat him to a pulp if he doesn’t come back ASAP…

Momiji / Kaede: ……

(He said Nagi-kun wasn’t suited to being a leader before, but he still acknowledged him as one, some way or another, huh.)

Yodaka: I’m fine. It’s not as bad as I say it is.

Yun Yun: …Yodaka-san, you said you were the happiest when you were peacefully working at Ten Nights’ Dream with me, right?

I don’t think you can be “at peace” while working as a ward mayor.

Yodaka: …… You were against my being a ward mayor from the very beginning, weren’t you?

Yun Yun: Of course, I was~!! You abandoned me to live in this fancy sharehouse and have fun without me – that’s not fair at all!!

𝚃𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙱𝚊𝚕𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚊 (𝙿𝚝 𝟸)

Haxus is in the Central Energy Chamber of the Castle of Lions and speaking with Sendak through the computer.

"Powering sub panels" Haxus says, typing on the controls.

"Sub panel energy transducer is go"

"Aye, sir. Opening pathway to link with bridge. Initializing main cluster reboot." Pidge is climbing on a ladder on the wall to hack into the Castle's computer system through an open panel using the armour's computer.

"Gotcha"

"Initializing complete. I'm set for main power up"

"The bridge is go" Sendak says.

"Powering up" Haxus powers up the engine; Pidge hacks it to overload the engine using her armour's computer.

"And up, and up, and up. I would not want to be touching a metal surface when this thing overloads" Alarms blare.

"Sir, something is wrong" Haxus says. The engine overloads and explodes in energy; Haxus is caught in the blast and wounded. Pidge grabs Rover as it hovers to avoid being electrocuted. Rover brings Pidge to Haxus "You're the one causing all this trouble? A child?"

"I'm not a child. I'm a Paladin of Voltron" Haxus laughs, drawing his sword.

"Let me tell you something, child. I'm a soldier of the Galra Empire. Nothing stops me but triumph or death" Haxus yells and battles Pidge. Pidge strikes Haxus with her grappling hook. He catches the rope and throws Pidge aside "Nowhere left to run. Nowhere left to hide." Haxus says, lifting his sword to strike Pidge. Haxus then hears a sound and looks at the controls to see Soul. With Haxus distracted, Pidge dives between Haxus' legs and throws him off-balance on the catwalk. Rover slams into Haxus to knock him over but Haxus grabs Rover to avoid falling.

"Rover!" Pidge shouts. Soul jumps onto rover and stomps on Haxus' fingers, trying to get him to let go, failing. Rover deactivates to let Haxus fall. Soul jumps into Pidge's arms "No!" Pidge rushes forward after Rover but is too late to grab the drone. Haxus and Rover fall to their end.

"No!" Haxus shouts. Pidge mourns Rover as Soul rubs her arm. Sendak interrupts through the computer.

"Haxus, report in"

"Haxus is gone, and you're next!" Pidge shouts.

"You've slowed me down, but this ship is mine! You will turn yourself over to me immediately!"

Never!"

"Well, then, maybe your leader or friend can convince you" Sendak said.

"What do you want?" Shiro asks, as he tries to protect Y/N. Trying to make due with his arms tied. He smirks "Nothing better than sibling love, they will do anything to keep each other safe" Y/N glares at Sendak "Your friend wanted to hear from you two, but maybe all I need is one" Sendak nods his head for a Sentry to grab Shiro.

"Leave her alone!" Shiro shouts, struggling.

"Shiro? Y/N?"

"Pidge? Pidge, don't listen to-" Sendak tortures Y/N using his prosthetic gauntlet. Y/N's bites her tongue, as to not scream.

"Looks like we have a fighter here. You'll do perfect in the gladiator fight" Sendak smirks. He continues to torture Y/N, turning up the power. Y/N couldn't hold it any longer and lets out her screams.

"Stop it! I'm the leader! Not her!" Shiro says, struggling.

"No!" Pidge shouts. Pidge closes her eyes, trying to drown out the sound of Y/N's screams.

"You can make it stop. Turn yourself in. Her suffering is in your hands"

Hunk and Coran stand with Shay and Ray in their home.

"Is your ship repaired that you may depart our presence?" Rax asks.

"Uh...Are you saying that you want us to leave?" Hunk said.

"Yes" Rax says, arms crossed.

"Well, it's working, but we can't leave without the Crystal" Hunk turns to Coran "You come up with an ideas how to get it?"

"Actually, yes." Coran says. Coran grins.

His plan is to disguise themselves as a Galra Sentry with Hunk as the legs and Coran wearing a helmet as he sits on Hunk's shoulder, both of them wrapped in a blanket. They can barely keep upright.

"I can't believe I'm the legs again. I'm the one who took down the guard. I should get to be the head" Hunk complains.

"Shh! Legs don't talk" Hunk and Coran approach two Sentries guarding the Crystal while wearing their disguise "Oh, hello, gentlemen, shift's over. Boss needs you back at the guard shack"

"Verify identification code" A Sentry says.

"Right. I didn't want to have to do this, but I'm going to have to pull rank. You guys are in big trouble, right? So, hand over those blasters and ID badges" The sentries take aim.

"Verify identification code or be destroyed." The drone said.

"Okay, okay. I've got it right...here!" Coran throws off the disguise. Hunk blasts the sentries with his Bayard cannon. Coran jumps off Hunk's shoulders and walks over to the Crystal, placing his hands on it; making it glow.

"What are you doing?" Hunk asks "We got to hurry!"

"I'm not just going to pry this out of here like some Galra monster. The Balmera is a sacred being. You have to communicate with it. Let your life forces connect. This is the way it was done in our time"

"Whoa. You really know your Balmeras" Hunk says. The Balmera responds to Coran and exposes the Crystal entirely. The Crystal nearly falls over, but Coran catches it, injuring his spine in the process. He cracks his neck to look at a Hunk, his eyes wide open "........I think I'm broken" Hunk sighs; he hears the sound of laser blasters being armed and turns to see they are surrounded by Galra Sentries

"Augh...Okay, guys! All right, I hate to do this. Blasters and badges. Come on. Give them up" Coran falls over from pain. Hunk raises his arm in surrender, smiling sheepishly.

Pidge and Soul lurks near the entrance to the Bridge in the Castle of Lions and listens as Sendak speaks to Shiro, who has his head down. Lance lays near him, face up. Y/N lays on the other side, face down, severely injured.

"I'm impressed that you managed to escape. Perhaps it would be worth the trip to your planet to see if the rest of your kind have your spirit, as well as your sisters. Of course, they will all end up broken, just like you. Now that we have Voltron, every planet, every race, all share the same fate." Sendak says.

Hunk and Coran are locked in a cell on the Balmera.

"Quiznak! I can't believe they saw through our disguise..." Hunk and Coran hear footsteps "Someone's coming!" Shay appears carrying a Galra Sentry arm.

"Shay?" Hunk asks. Shay uses the Sentry arm on the cell scanner and unlocks the cell. The cell barrier disappears.

"Make haste to your pod. The Crystal is prepared for departure"

"How did you get the Crystal?" Coran asks.

"I was assigned to take it to the upper levels, but instead I took it down. Soon, they will discover my ruse. Time is short"

"Why are you helping us?" Hunk asks "You'll get in trouble"

"Because your words touched my heart. I wish for freedom for all Balmera. Perhaps your Voltron can make it so" Hunk looks determined. Hunk, Coran and Shay run for the flight pod. Rax meets them there with Sentries armed.

"No. Rax, why?"

"These two bring only trouble to our family. It was the only way to protect you" Hunk angrily readies his Bayard.

"No! The Balmera will save us" Shay places her hand on the ground to contact the Balmera.

"Shay, no!" The Balmera responds to Shay and causes rocks to fall from the cave to crush the Sentries. Hunk, Coran, and Shay run for the flight pod. Some Sentries survive and capture Shay "Shay!"

"Go! Make haste!" Shay shouts.

"Let her go!"

"No, Hunk! We have to go!" Hunk hesitates, but more sentries and Galra fighter jets arrive. Hunk enters the Altean flight pod with Coran.

"I'll come back for you, Shay! I promise!"

"If we can't shake these patrols, we might be back here sooner then we want!" Hunk and Coran leave in the flight pod pursued by Galra fighter jets.

The Altean Mice infiltrate the Generator Room of the Castle of Lions and take out the last Galra Sentry guarding it. They press buttons on the control panel to deactivate the particle barrier.

Outside, Keith and Allura watch the barrier disappear/

"It worked!" Keith says.

"They did it!" Keith and Allura head inside the Castle.

Sendak sees Pidge on the computer of the Castle Bridge. He turns to attack and pursue her out of the Bridge. As Sendak runs out of the Bridge, the real Pidhge, alongside Soul, rushes inside the Bridge to speak to Shiro and Y/N. Soul jumps of Pidge's shoulder and nuzzles Y/N's head.

"Shiro, Y/N wake up. It's me, Pidge-" Pidge is caught by Sendak's gauntlet.

"You really thought your little hologram trick would work with me?" Sendak says. Keith and Allura enter the Bridge. Keith summons his Bayard to fight "Stand back!" Sendak is suddenly struck behind by Lance's Bayard rifle. Lance passes out again. Shiro rushes at Sendak and is knocked aside. Keith battles Sendak. Sendak throws Keith and Pidge severs the energy chain to his gauntlet, rendering it useless "No!" Sendak is enrages and battles Pidge. Allura accesses the Bridge's computer. Keith attacks Sendak again and Sendak catches his Bayard's blade. Allura readies the computer.

"Keith, duck!" He does so and a Scythe knocks Sendak into the centre of the Bridge and a barrier rises up, trapping him. Keith is pushed back. He looks up to see Y/N, breathing heavily. She puts her Bayard away and turns to face Keith, a tired look on her face "We did it" She suddenly collapses, only to be caught by Keith. She's unconscious again. He shows a small smile.

"Yeah, we did it" Pidge frees Shiro and Keith brings Y/N over to Shiro, He instantly holds her tight as Soul curls up onto her stomach.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you" Shiro mutters. Keith frowns before going over to Lance.

"Lance, are you okay?" Keith asks, pulling him upright.

"We are a good team" Lance says. He smiles, Keith smiles in return. Lance looks over at Y/N and frowns "It's my fault she was in the blast. I didn't cover her"

Hunk and Coran are fleeing from Galra fighter jets on the Balmera.

"We can't shake them!" Coran says "We're not going to make it!" Hunk remembers the booster fuel Pidge installed and motions to press the button "Uh, it may turn us into a giant fireball"

"Maybe, but it's out only chance" Coran hesitates but sees more Galra jets approaching.

"Fine. Fire in the hole!" Hunk presses the button and the flight pod blasts into the sky. Coran cheers.

"We did it!"

Lance and Y/N are sleeping inside a pod. Allura, Keith, Soul, Shiro, and Pidge stand by them in the Sleep Chamber.

"After a day in here, they should be fully healed" Shiro approaches Pidge.

"Pidge, we can't thank you enough for all you did. I can't help but feel that you were meant to be a part of our team... but I understand if you want to leave"

"Dad used to tell me how close he was with his crew members. They were like family. Now I understand what he was talking about" Shiro smiles at Pidge "I'm staying with you guys. Let's stop Zarkon for all of our families" Allura and Keith also smile at Pidge.

"Good to have you back on the team" Keith says. Soul makes a noise from Pidge's shoulder, nuzzling into her cheek. Pidge smiles fondly at her team.

Shattered Hero ~ Origins of the Ink Demon : Episode Maka Finale (9/11)

Tsugumi : This must be it. Planet Jupiter.

Meta Knight : So this is where Maka originally came from. This is where her origins came from this planet when the Phantonians have came to this galaxy and conquered it all. The Sancuatry was created on two of these planets Earth and Jupiter.

Tsugumi : So that's why her birth certificate was messed up. She wasn't born on earth, she was born on that planet, it's a sanctuary that no one shouldn't stepped in. I doubt that the author has been doing something with Maka's backstory. Although her records did shay that she was born in 1991. Hmm? What's that out the window? (uses spyglass to see from the view) Is that a Black Hole or is something in it?

Maka : That's no Black Hole, the gateway to Dark Nebula's domain. He's almost ready to use his powers to swallow the galaxy whole in darkness.

Tsugumi : Maka-chan! It's you, I haven't seen your face in three years.

Maka : Well I believe that things changed, Harudori-san.

Meta Knight : Maka Albarn, the 14-year old who was presumed gone from the world and has somehow returned to uncover the truth. You lived and have survived for all these years, how long did you manage to free yourself.

Maka : Someone that I have to believe in the hearts of all. I am innocent after all.

Tsugumi : Hey, Maka. When I said anything about meeting you, you were supposed to be the one responsible for saving my life, but I realized that It means much to me as a hero. But I'm not the Tsugumi that I used to be, I changed. I always knew that I would the see the day that I would see that face of yours. And go by the name Sir Halberd Knight.

Maka Albarn : Whatever you say, Sir Halberd Knight. I'm much more genuine than the rest of them. I only made myself the person that I wanted to be this way! It's not just about the fate of the world, It's about saving it with valor, same goes to Courage and bravery! Well, I'm not that kind of person that needed a helping hand. You sure got everything, that you needed? You seemed kinda lonely without any help from a person that makes a diligent effort.

Tsugumi : ....It doesn't seems right about being solo or have a one man army. Even though, without the friends I need, there will never be a story that is completed. If only there's something that we needed. (Maka puts her hand on her shoulder)

Maka : Tsugumi-chan. The Maka you needed is right here, and I needed you to complete your story. You got a part, I got a part, we all got parts of every story that needs to be part of. So, do you feel like that were in this together? Should we agree on helping out together?

Tsugumi : Hmm...Agree means "Accept", but "disagree" means i "deny it". So I nod to agree and accept! (firmly hand shakes Maka) this partnership has officially forged! Welcome to the story, friend.

Tsugumi : Same to you, buddy!

Ethan : Maka! Take care!

Maka : What about you, guys?

Ethan : You guys go on ahead to defeat Dark Nebula, I'll go stop Magashi and destroy the S.E.E.D HIVE.

Maka : But, Ethan. You sure you can stop Magashi? But this is the 06 and I let everything down, not even Sonic around while he deals with Solaris and...

Ethan : Hey, kid. Look, we have stories of our own, we're heroes. We got this. You got your part and I got mine respectively. You got a world to save.

Maka : And you got a galaxy to save as well. We'll do, Ethan. That's what being a hero is about. It's not about courage, it's about Valor.

Ethan : Right back at ya! (fists bumps each other) Good luck out there, Kid. (walks off)

Maka : ...! Hey, Ethan Waber!

Ethan : What is it?

Maka : I just wanted to tell you one last thing. May the holy light guide you, and thank you for my heart.

Ethan : Nah. That would be Vivienne's line who would say it. [walks away]

Maka : Alright, It's time to head into battle. Good thing I brought this, [pulls out a Chaos Emerald] since Sonic 06's story was reset, It's time that we use with good use. Grim found the Chaos Emerald that it was causing the events of the 06, guess all things needed in common. Girm, Moirai, Tsugumi, Soul. Everyone ready?

All : Of course!

Maka : Alright, here goes nothing...[breathes inhale and then exhale] Chaos...CONTROL!!!

*Sonic SFX : Chaos Control*

"Later..."

[S.E.E.D HIVE]

Ethan : This is it. After fighting my way through the Hive, I finally found it.

Magashi : Welcome, Ethan. You finally made it this far just to reach to the end of your journey. Today, this will be the final battle for us before the year of 06 is about to come to an end.

Ethan : Alright. It's just you and me now. This time I'll stop you for good!

Magashi : Certainly. It times when Earth will be reaching in everlasting darkness, Gurhal has been at peace after the 500 year race war changed everything. Since Dark Falz from PSO has failed to put everything in Jeopardy, I will be the one that shall bring the darkness to the Universe and the despair that shall forever be their gift.

Ethan : I just might happen to be lucky that you would gain control of the universe. For the sake of saving Gurhal, I will put end to the likes of you! (pulls out weapon) Shall we get started then? It'll be just our fight that we predicted it!

Magashi : Rhetorical theory, Ethan! I've waiting for this for a long time and now I really want to see some action! This is a duel that is worth fighting for! a duel to deliver the fates that we carry! Haaaah!! (charges)

Ethan : (charges) HUAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!

[the two starts fighting as they clash their weapons]

[The Last Story - Hideaki Kobayashi]

Ethan : Just face it, Magashi! 2006 would've been a great year for Sonic and for PSU!

Magashi : Heheheheh! It's a shame that the Blue Blur himself let himself down after the 06 has effected him and his entire life, but I realized that all of the events of the 06 have been retconed by one tiny flame, and that flame is Solaris! HAAAAH!!!

(WEAPONS CLANG+ELECTRIC ZAPPING)

Ethan : Everything changed in the 06, it changed his life before I even met him! Ever since Japan's population was long lost to Maka, people started to turn against her and to think that she was a traitor to the whole world. But she was never a traitor, she wanted to become the hero that she was and become part of a story she has been! Don't you know how much that it hurt her when others do bad things to her, this caused her to go frustrated because of Soul World, the place that existed within the Real World, the universe that she grew up on!

Magashi : And all to think that the poor girl was frustrated because of Shinra Kusakabe's influence. Despite his loss after his 1000 years of death, he still remains in the Real World as a pitiful lifeform on earth. Desperate to him that he created the legacy that is nothing more than a curse! I look foward to see this day, just as watch the whole star system loses the light and shall forever be in everlasting darkness! The planets and their inhabitants shall forever lose hope, not even you can stand a chance.

Ethan : Last Chance! I do know one thing's for sure...! (Attacks Magashi directly) There will be light for Maka and for the planets, and that's called "Hope". You're nothing without something.

Magashi : I-Impossible! So be it! I shall looking foward into this power I have achieved! You should see the true fear of humanity that lies within all. But still, this is should be the final curtain call!

Ethan : Magashi, watch out! You're gonna fall off! (Magashi falls off) Magashi!....Well, guess this is the end for him.

Tonnio : Ethan! Where did Magashi go? Dang! We're must've ran late or something.

Leo : Guess he's not coming back or anything.

Karen Erra : Is he gone?

Ethan : I hope so.

Magashi : (voice heard) Not yet, Ethan Waber. It's not over yet. I still got something for one last chance in order to defeat you! To all four of each of Gurhal's kind, I considered this as a gift to your demise and despair! This is the true power of Darkness!

*rumbling*

[The Hunt ~ End of Planets - Kenichi Tokoi]

Ethan : What the-!?

Magashi (?) : Behold, Ethan! I shall put the planets into Jeopardy! Whether it's nebula or me, Dulk Fakis!

"DULK FAKIS : THE KING OF S.E.E.D"

Ethan : This is Dulk Fakis? This must be the one that awakens Darkness? What has Magashi been doing with the reactors' lately?

Tonnio : Oh man! He's huge! He's much bigger than Dark Falz himself! Talk about a nasty fight for a final boss character!

Leo : This is one tough enemy that we need to take down in order to save the galaxy!

Karen Erra : Ethan! You ready?

Ethan : Oh yeah, I am ready! I hope Maka and her buddies we'll be taking care of Dark Nebula! But right now, it's this thing that needs to be taken care of! Help me and destroy this thing!

NBA Rant: Halilujuah

Tyrese Haliburton is a f*cking dog. Mans has been an absolute monster in these Playoffs and it’s been no small feat. The teams he had to go through to get to the Eastern Conference Finals are not for the faint of heart. Mans beat the Bucks, the Cavs, and is currently strangling or, more accurately, choking the life out of the Knickerbockers. Seriously, if you’re wearing and orange jersey, how demoralized are you after that game one stunner? Haliburton has always been a favorite player of mine, ever since he was drafted by the Kings. The smartest thing they’ve done since Vivek took over was drafting this kid, only to fumble the bag because Fox felt threatened. Look at them now. Fox is in San Antonio after costing you a f*cking generational talent AND a solid coach in Mike Brown. This is as bad as the LAkers letting Bron strong arm them into signing Rusty Westbrick, and then firing Vogel like it was his fault the teams tanked afterward. Interestingly enough, the same thing kind of happened in Denver this past season. Rusty shows up, the team sucks, and a brilliant coach in the form of Mike Malone gets canned, but I digress. I don’t know if the Pacers have the gas to make it all the way to the Finals, I hope they do, but this first game shows they’re not here to roll over and Haliburton is every bit the player I thought he was all those years ago. Goes to show you how washed NBA media is. A year ago, the talking heads were all preaching in unison how washed Haliburton was. Today, they got nothing but “praise” for the leader of a wildly overachieving Pacers squad.

Honestly, this entire year’s Playoff run has been fantastic. I kind of loved watching the new blood get their torches finally because, my god, am I tired of people talking about LeBron or the dysfunctional ass Bucks. People bray about the Suns but they were never really contenders. How could they be? They made the same mistake the Heatles made way back when. More than that, this league doesn’t belong to them anymore. They are the fading giants. It’s all about the Haliburtons and the Shais and the Edwards. These youngsters are coming into their own right before our eyes and it’s a goddamn pleasure to see. My love for basketball feels rekindled after years of LeBron falling short and Steph shooting the league into hysterics, and they’re doing it in a way reminiscent of Nineties hoop. That mid-range plays a huge part in both Tyrese and Shai’s game, which they use to perfection. The three is always an option, but I see more Kobe in these kids than I do Curry, which makes me smile. Mamba Mentality is alive and well in the next generation, as it should be. Bean, for sure, left the game better when he left. Rest in Power to the second best to ever do it! Now let’s see how far the kids can take it!

The truth of a secret

NCIS special agent Todd has a secret that could but the whole team into danger what happens when the news about the death of her dad triggers her powers to become stronger then she ever thought she could she will need to tell them before the nemesis of her youngest sisters best friend strikes again with a changed up mo she will have to reveal the secret to the rest of the team that doesn't know but how did the team take it.

One day after the news and secretly harnessing the new straight over distance training with her sisters (who became stronger as well )and a phone call she decides to tell the team one by one. Helene goes to sleep peacefully in her Alexandria apartment and Kate follows suit in her dc apartment while back in the sisters hometown Maura and Jane follow their night routine falling into bed side by side as they have done for a long time now back in her Beacon Hill home. The next morning Jane and Maura are faced again with the sculpting change in mo and Helene is enjoying a peaceful morning yoga session with both of her sisters and Jane’s as well. After yoga they all go off to work and Kate with a renewed sense of determination to help rid her sisters best friend of her personal nightmare she walks into work and sits down and goes though the files as the rest of the team filters in and she decides to go downstairs to train a bit more before Abby comes in to work. After finishing the training it hits her who it is with the files maura has sent over along with Claire’s on Lindsay’s personal nemesis she races back upstairs to the team all drowned in their own work and Salone waiting for her

Ooo, Desmonds pissed! And learning that Shay is crushed by guilt by what happened makes Desmond a bit protective, especially after Achilles tries to shift the blame back to Shay. Shay is wary, but also grateful for Desmonds defense. So the others aren't too far off, just not yet. XD

Desmond has dealt with worse mentors in his life/memories, Achilles won’t stand a chance. Maybe slow burn for Desmond and shay on this one? Shay needs time to warm up to desmond and desmond is oblivious till he realizes, ‘shit, when did I start thinking of shay as mine?!’

Achilles doesn’t really want to get on his bad side because Desmond carries himself like a mentor of all. Adéwalé would even visit him to introduce himself since Desmond technically owns the waters where they dock and he tells Achilles that he once saw Edward’s drawing of Altaïr that he found somewhere (memory seals in Alamut) and Desmond is a dead ringer as far as Adéwalé could remember so there’s a possibility that Desmond is Altaïr who gained immortality through the power of a POE OR he’s a descendant of Altaïr who looks so much like him because of his supernatural origins OR he’s a supernatural being that took the appearance of Altaïr for some reason.

Regardless of the reason, Achilles knows not to anger him and Desmond made it clear that he was staying around because he was ‘waiting for something’.

Achilles believes Desmond is waiting for the Brotherhood to grow or for a great disaster to happen.

Desmond was just waiting for Ratonhnhaké:ton to be born.

He was about to leave when Shay plopped down his waters and almost drowned.

So, really, the only thing keeping Desmond here in the homestead was Shay and the fuckery that was happening within the Brotherhood.

Not that he has any real power to push the Brotherhood around but, still, well…

He can make Achilles’ life miserable by visiting him and pressing him for more information, including how he handled the mission that caused Shay to be counted as a traitor.

Desmond would realize he thinks of Shay as ‘his’ when he tells Shay to pack his things because he was coming with him to Ratonhnhaké:ton’s village after he finished smacking everyone in the Colonial Brotherhood multiple times (figuratively and literally depending on who it is).

He stopped the moment he realized what he just said because ‘wtf???’ and froze dead silent when Shay just agrees and starts packing his things.

Now the problem because…

Is Desmond’s possessiveness on Shay romantic or not? XD

There are sooo many good animal Desmond ideas out there... But no one thinks about horse Desmond.

He would be the mightiest of steeds. Maybe he would be a war breed like a Friesian or a hunting breed like an Akhal-Teke?

Horse Desmond would be a wild horse at first I think. No one would be able to keep him contained. But maybe he could be tempted to stick around if say... A certain ancestor popped up. Or perhaps they needed a lift? Most probably away from angry templars- or even more likely if you go for ezio- single fathers trying desperately to keep handsome Italian men away from his precious daughters?

You would have no problem escaping when your horse isn't afraid to free-run. >:}

And darn it if he wouldn't be the most loyal mount! Kicking and stomping would-be horse thieves and templars like it's a hobby!

Horse!Desmond is like… a creature that happens every so often and graces this Tumblr every few months XD

I’m actually unsure if there’s more but these are the ones I was able to find. XD

So let’s go for water kelpie in this one!

I’m kinda imagining Desmond like the water kelpie in Shin Megami Tensei:

But he’s gonna be a pure white kelpie with golden eyes.

Water kelpies have the ability to shapeshift into humans but they’re easily caught because they have seaweeds for hair and they supposedly haunt the almost all water masses in Scotland and the kelpie is said to be a being that appears in both Scottish and Irish lore so there’s a high possibility that Shay and Liam would know about them.

And that’s why Shay is absolutely suspicious of the hooded man that appeared in the homestead one random day.

He spoke to Achilles for a long while and he just… starts living in a small shack near the docks.

Shay wouldn’t have been so suspicious of him had he not smelled like… water… all the time.

He has no other way to explain it.

There was something about his scent that reminded Shay of the stories his father used to tell him the mythical beasts and monsters that haunt Ireland.

They had also traveled to Scotland quite a few times during Shay’s time with his father and their ships, having a close relationship with a merchant that goes there. They get more money if they accompany the merchant to Scotland so Shay knows a bit.

The unknown Assassin that only goes by the name Desmond reminds Shay of one of those stories.

The stories of those who stay in the waters to drown humans.

And then…

Lisbon happened.

He tried to do the right thing.

And he fell in the cold waters.

That’s when he saw it.

A white kelpie with golden eyes.

The same eyes as Desmond.

He wakes up in Desmond’s shabby shack.

And finally sees Desmond without a hood.

… his hair was made of seaweeds.

Shay was in the presence of a kelpie.

But why…

The Paladins launch their Lions from the mine shafts and attacks Drazil, who gives chase.

"Okay, we're provokes. Time to envade!" Hunk says. Allura is preparing to launch from the Castle of Lions on a drop-sled. Shiro speaks over their communication channel.

"Princess, we've lured the monsters away. It's time"

"I'll contact you all when I'm on the ground" Coran speaks over the Castle intercom.

"Be careful out there" Coran says. Allura launches from the Castleship. Coran looks to Soul "Well, its just you and me" She mades a noise and looks at the screen. Lance sees her descent.

"Is that Allura?" Lance asks. The Robeast Drazil tries to attack Allura with laser fire.

"We gotta protect the Princess!" Y/N says. She shields Allura with the Purple Lion and is badly hit. The other Paladins distract Drazil so Allura reaches the mine shaft safely. Shiro speaks to her over the communication channel.

"I'm on the ground"

"Hurry! I don't know how long we can hold this thing off" Allura runs over to Shay and her family.

"Shay, I'm going to need your help"

"Princess?" Shay asks. Allura places her hand on the tunnel wall.

"Have you contacted the other Balmerans?" Shay and her family look dejected "What is it? What's going on?"

"There is no need to speed for you. You have a unique power within. The Balmera will carry your words" Shay's grandmother points to Allura's hand on the wall, which is glowing. Allura recoils and speaks "Speak your heart, child. All can hear you" Shay's Grandmother takes Allura's hand and places it back on the wall. Allura focuses and speaks aloud, but her words are transmitted to all Balmerans.

"Balmerans, this is Princess Allura. You don't know me, but I am here to help. I know what it's like to watch your home planet die. For I come from planet Altea , a planet that has long been destroyed by the Galra. But I refuse to give up. And now, you all have the same choice. You can decide now to devote your lives to making sure this never happens to another planet. I am eternally sorry for what has happened to the Balmera, but I beg you, do not let its dying be in vain. Honour the Balmera's death by refusing to give up. Join me in my fight against the Galra" Shay's grandmother places her own hand on the wall to hear the response.

"Your words have touched out hearts"

"Thank you"

"No, thank you. You've given us reason to hope again"

"Everyone, head to the caves just under the surface. Coran and Soul are looking at the map of the Balmera on the Castle of Lions showing Balmerans moving.

"Princess, your speech must have worked. The Balmerans are moving towards the surface" Coran says.

"Coran, we're just beneath the surface. Triangular my position. This is your landing zone"

"Yes, Allura. Readying ship. Castle of Lions, coming in! Paladins, how are you holding up?" Y/N is fighting Drazil.

"I think we've got him pretty distracted. Are the Balmerans in position?" She asks.

"They're making their way to the top" All the Balmerans slowly climb towards the surface. The Castle of Lions lands just outside a mine shaft. Coran descends to the surface in a transport pod, Soul beside him, and motions for Balmerans to enter.

"Bring them out! Hurry, now!" Coran says. Soul makes a gesture to come in. The Balmera suddenly rumbles violently, causing the mine shaft to start crumbling and rock slides to occure.

"No!" Balmerans are in a panic but not injured.

"It's on the verge of collapsing! We have to go!"

"But the Balmerans!"

"They're trapped! What can be done? Time is short!" Rax says. The Paladins are dodging Drazil's lasers in their Lions; the lasers are hitting the Balmera.

"Every hit weakens the Balmera. Have you evacuated yet? What's happening?" Coran speaks over the communication channel.

"The Balmerans are trapped. Just keep distracting that beast!" He says.

"Uh, do you want us to distract it by dying? Because that's what's going to happen"

"Guys, remember when I said we didn't have to beat it?" Shiro says.

"Yes, I remember that" Hunk says.

"Well, we might have to beat it" Allura looks over the mine shaft.

"We're lost! All are trapped with no chance for escape!"

"We can't give up"

"But what can be done?" Shay notices the ground undertenath the Castle of Lions "The Balmera...The ground beneath your mighty ship appears healed. Its essence thrives. But how?"

"The Castle!"

"Not just the castle, but you as well"

"It's true. Your Altean energy combined with the snips Crystal has revitalized this part of the Balmera" Coran says.

"That's it! Maybe we can perform the ceremony you spoke about. We can save the Balmera"

"What ceremony?" Rax asks.

"In the days of old, when Alteans were given the gift of Crystals from a , we would repay its sacrifice by performing a ceremony. A sacred Altean would re-infuse the with . In this way, we had a symbiotic relationship"

"The Galra have only been taking. It's time we give back" Allura says. Soul jumps up and down in agreement "I can connect with the Crystal in the Bridge and use the Castle's power as an amplifier"

"When your father performed the ceremony, it was on a smaller scale. I beg you. To heal an entire planet, it could take more energy than you possess. You may not...live through it"

"I know you're scared for me, Coran, but I must try" Allura begins the ceremony with Shay's family and the other Balmerans.

The Paladins are scrambling to avoid Drazil's laser fire.

"Guys, this isn't working. We'll never take this beast down in our Lions" Keith says.

"Well, forming Voltron didn't work, either"

"Not without some way to shoot all those laser eyes at once" The Yellow Lion displays the keyhole console for Hunk's bayard.

"That's weird. What are you trying to tell me?" Hunk summons his Bayard "Guys! Guys, something's happening here! I-I think there is a way to take down all those laser eyes at once"

"Well, what is it?"

"Do you remember how Voltron formed that sword with Keith's Bayard? I think my Lions telling me I can do the same thing with my bayard?"

"Are you sure?" Y/N asks.

"Let's find out. Form thingy!" Hunk inserts his bayard into the console; nothing happens "It didn't work!"

"Because we didn't form Voltron yet"

"Oh, right. Yeah, I know"

"Guys, whatever we're planning, let's hurry up and do it" Pidge says. The Robeast notices the Castle of Lions and moves in to attack.

"We're got to defent the Castle of Lions! Everyone, follow me. Form Voltron!" After forming, Voltron, Hunk's Bayard summons a shoulder cannon to counterattack Drazil's energy blast "It's not enough!"

"We'll have to try something else!" Hunk is able to deflect the blast away from the Castle of Lions. Voltron takes flight, drawing Drazil's attacks away from the Castleship. Hunk's computer shows Voltron has locked on to all of the Robeast's laser eyes "Are you guys seeing this?"

"Roger that?"

"Let's see what this thing can do. Engage!" The shoulder cannon fires a shower of energy bullets at once, hitting all of Drazil's eyes and rendering it still. Meanwhile, Allura performs the rejuvenation ceremony and Quintessense spreadys across the Balmera.

"Guys, look!" Y/N says. The Quintessence is absorbed. Drazil suddenly begins attacking Voltron again. Keith punches Drazil using the Red Lion. The Robeast falls to the ground in a heap, lying still. Allura is released from the energy of the Castleship. Shay gathers Allura in her arms. Soul puts her hands on Allura's arm, shaking her slightly.

"Princess, are you all right?" Allura appears unconscious, but wakes up.

"Did it work?" Rax has his hand on the ground.

"Yes. The Balmera lives. It thanks you" The Paladins leave their Lions and arrive to check on Allura. Soul runs up to Y/N and climbs up her legs and into her arms. Drazil suddenly reawakens a second time, preparing to attack them.

"No!" The Balmera suddenly courses its Crystals through the Monster, destroying it and encasing its body.

"Wow"

"No. Way"

"The Balmera just saved us"

"Look at the Crystals!" Crystals begin forming across the Balmera. Hunk begins petting the planet's surface.

"Oh, who's a good Balmera? You are. Who ate the big monster? You did. Yes, you did. Yes, you did" Shiro, Keith and Lance look unamused.

"Dude, what are you doing?" Keith asks.

"What? It's alive, and it wuvs my scwatches" Keith facepalms and Y/N laughs.
