I'm curious about something and feel like rambling.

When Zeus transformed, the shawl was still there.

But when Mosy transformed, her bow was gone.

Did the bow go into "hammer space" like I do with the clothing on my characters, while the shawl didn't because Zeus wasn't expecting to transform?

Did you forget about it/not know how to put it in? (Completely valid option, I wouldn't judge if so. X3)

Did Mosy take it off just for Zeus, if ya know what I mean?

Also secondary question; Is Zeus more attracted to Mosy in that form? XD (I suspect the reaction is because of Mosy's flirting, but I'm still curious. X3)

Mwhahaha I actually have an answer for this >:3c Mosy simply took it off before transforming because it would be too small around their neck! Their bow is a bit similar to a choker in that they were it tight around their neck but it’s more Mew sized so XD

While Zeus already sees Mosy as a very pretty mon, they do very much like how they look as a Mewtwo so one could say it’s a mix of both the flirting and Mosy looking different/“new” in that moment

Snake!! Another one of my OC Links! He's whole Hero subversion is he's the prince of Hyrule (And Mint is just there for the ride)

This Link doesn't have much going on in his Hyrule it's another peaceful timeline. Zelda is the Queen and Ganondorf isn't trying to rule the kingdom and is still King of the Gerudo. They're mostly frenemies who tolerate each other, but the two have an understanding that any attacking outsiders will face the wrath of Hyrule and the Gerudo. Link found Mint in the garden and instantly bonded, Mint's basically his sister at this point or like that friend that's always at your house and your very tall mom basically adopted them. There's obviously an animal element going on (it's mostly just for fun), but Zelda is a giant owl woman, Ganondorf got a mongoose aesthetic, and Link is obviously our beloved lil snake boy. I- I don't know how an owl had a snake child idk man it just be like that sometimes. There was only one time where the Queen and Ganondorf both showed how protective they were over our boy which was an attempted kidnapping. It was a terrifying event for many, but everything's fine now. :>

Morganic Musings

20th November 1998 saw the 65th issue of Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic escape its continental cargo confines and reach the hands of Australian retailers. For us then-avid readers, it meant hopping on a bike after school to make that traditional end-of-month pledge over to the local newsagent, ready to swap a hard-earned $3.95 (and any extra loose change for an ice block when possible) for another enthralling escape to Mobius.

And yet it all felt different this time.

In the aptly titled The Fellowship of the Rings, audiences were introduced to the story of Nate Morgan. Having cameoed in the previous issue (released here on 22nd October '98 for the curious), this humble human sheltered the battered Sonic and Tails into his isolated tundra abode, while giving that nuisance Ixis Naugus a well-deserved booting out. The small, seemingly insignificant old man would prove anything but, as the issue recounted his adventures and adversities over the decades; from creating and refining the Power Rings, serving as key member of Royal Acorn court, even establishing how the Lake of Rings operated while visiting the future Knothole Village and Freedom Fighters' underground HQ

The road from concept to completion for this character was far from easy, and for years looked as though he'd never see the light of day. Morgan's origins can be traced all the way back to early 1992 during DiC's initial development of their Sonic the Hedgehog cartoons, where he was depicted in their story bible as a 110 year old black human with flowing white beard living in Knothole. A former environmental advisor now proud Freedom Fighter, he was a friend to all animals, offering advice/support and boosting morale where he could with the occasional magic trick. Two rough sketches accompanied his profile, with the choice of tall or short designs.

By the time 1997 rolled around, a copy of that story bible and designs made their way into Archie's office. Having combed through its contents, editor Justin Gabrie decided the character deserved a second chance and ordered his inclusion in the comic. The task fell on newly-minted head writer Karl Bollers to breathe life into the character opting to go with the shorter model, which artist Patrick Spaziante imbued with his Midas touch. And lo, the old man was reborn a new old man.

I genuinely liked Nate Morgan (or as my younger self used to mispronounce him, "Mor-Gain". Hey, we all do stupid things from time to time) as a character. His appearance in the comic was something of a revelation, especially in a pre-Adventure era where the idea of other humans let alone a whole city of them living on Mobius was pretty farfetched. It added intriguing new layers to the series' lore, nor could I say no to another kindly father figure at a time when the likes of King Max and Locke were anything but. His backstory of seeking acceptance only to find hate and deception at every turn really touched a nerve, and was saddened to pick up and see his demise years later in issue 105's Touch of Evil.

Unfortunately that same hatred manifested in the real-world, and it felt more than a few times that I was the only person who cared.

How disheartening it was to boot up the 25.5kph modem, peruse the message groups and see fellow readers' reactions. Whether it be through dislike of change or some underlying racial prejudice (which he sadly was a target of more than once), fans certainly didn't hold back when voicing their displeasure over the character. A chaotic chorus which only grew as the millennium drew to a close; some hated his sudden importance to the history of Power Rings and the Acorn Kingdom, others thought he'd outright steal the spotlight from Uncle Chuck and Rotor as the residential techspert, the shameless self-insert of Karl Bollers (or Ken Penders depending on which fan you asked), and of course the ever-present decries of "Mr. Walking Plot Device". In that light, early Mina Mongoose fans got off lucky. It would be nice to see Nate Morgan resurrected or even reevaluated in some form or other in future media, but like the rest of the cast, this series had its time and its day. New ideas and characters have since stepped up to fill their void, even if it's quite the pickle finding a similar substitute for him.

But stranger things have happened. His appearance in the first place being the best one.

So what if… 👉👈 I made all these Link OCs and didn't know what to do with them, so I decided to make them all meet or something idk and this is a meet the squad kinda post...?

Keeping this unbelievably abridged, they'll probably get their own individual posts or somethin' Garo Mask- I feel like I introduced this man so many times. But this guy? Honestly he's the only Link here actively fighting both Ganondorf and Zelda by the end of his story. Crow- He lost his Zelda and she gave him the Triforce of Wisdom before she went and the Zelda who replaced her is holding the Triforce of Power (Gan has Courage, what fun a Ganonfriend!) also he is in fact a bird sometimes. Doctor- He has the full Triforce but at the cost of being held hostage at the castle for like a century being used as a power source before Ganondorf unknowingly freed him. The process dyed his hair and fingers from so much use so he hides his hands. Semi-evil Zelda since it was her ancestor who did that to him but she has the thought of getting him back to continue more and more often Neon- The man, the beloved, the reluctant, what can I say Nightlight- Unfortunately… I havent really got his back story yet, so he's just here to hang out? Snake (and Mint)- A baby boy! He's just a lil guy! His Hyrule isn't in any real danger though Ganondorf, the mongoose lookin mf, does snap and whine a lot at Zelda, owl coded Queen beloved Earth- one of the newer ones, this guy is just tired af. He is just the princess's body guard because there's already a Hero running around, thats what happens when you wake up in a completely different era after a long nap trapped in the ground Plants- Small baby, shy child. His Hyrule has absolutely no problems fr fr. Him, Zelda, and Ganondorf all hang out together regularly via them visiting him. He is the forest sage after all, he doesn't want to leave the temple grounds for anything. Just in case. Wrangle- Ah, he falls in with Nightlight where Im not entirely sure of a story for him yet. But! He's the only one here besides Snake who has a companion! Bonnie is such a lil sweetheart!

ILLEGIBLE’S TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE FAVORITE EORZEA COLLECTION DESIGNS: MALE

I’ve mentioned in the past, the main thing that made me start playing FFXIV properly was seeing people’s character designs. I’m still honestly blown away by the creativity and range of approaches people bring to this game, so I’ve decided to be an absolute madwoman and break my favorites into subcategories to share with anyone curious.

And to be clear. I’m not going to do something so broad as “oh top ten in-general :3″ because that would be sensible. No, I’m going to do it for all the current combat jobs. And all the current races. And different genders within the races and combat jobs as things stand. And I’m going to make a model-focus subcategory. And there are gonna be LOTS. Because I seriously cannot understate how inspired I’ve been by this community, and after however many years I just feel the need to vomit some incredible visuals I’ve encountered at you guys lol.

NOTE: In an abundance of caution, I want to stress this list isn’t a value judgment on anyone but a fragment of things that blew me personally away. Looking at the DRK sections it will be immediately clear that I Illegible really like that edgy dark knight aesthetic lmao, but there are plenty of non-edgy dark knights that I also love to bits. Other people might not like edgy dark knights. Due to a combination of size and search constraints plus trying to keep gear somewhat varied, these glamours are just what wound up on this particular list of mine. I could make another list one day. Claude Cooper - Myriad Sounds - I love the postpunk jazz breaks style of this album; I just wish there were more direction to it. Great as library music, though.

An irrepressible melange of psychedelic-funk, jazz-breaks and end of the century tr*p-h*p collides with punk spirit in free abandon on ‘Myriad Sounds’, the debut album by the illusive Claude Cooper, arriving at the start of a new year on Friendly Recordings, the newly minted record label of Bristol’s renowned Friendly Records shop. Claude Cooper emerged in the depths of last winter with the saxophone-led whirlpool of cymbal crashes and snaking bass on debut single 'Tangerine Dreams'. With strong support from tastemaker radio and DJs, it sensationally sold out a staggering 800 copies on its 7” vinyl release. With Claude disappearing back into the shadows, it was thought it might be a one off...until they resurfaced with this album, recorded during 2021. It’s the sort of music one would expect to unearth in the hallowed backroom murk of a record shop where layer upon layer of wax plates periodically shift and reveal lost and long overlooked dusty relics just waiting to be freed into the slipstream of the shop floor. It’s a record in constant motion, much like the city, capturing a nature of individualism often associated with Bristol and typified by a renaissance in the jazz and punk scenes there in recent years. A firm focus on beats and low-end frequencies also pays tribute to Bristol’s drum and bass, dubstep and soundsystem culture. At its heart, ‘Myriad Sounds’ is characteristically friendly but constantly poised on rebellion. The aforementioned smash single ‘Tangerine Dreams’ is matched by the Lalo Schifrin soundtrack worthy ‘Mongoose’ and ‘Stan’s Plan’, while the flute led ‘Bloomfields’ is a slinky late night jam. The rough and tough ‘Magic Circle’ throws together heavily distorted electric bass with stabs worthy of a 70s slasher-film. A treasure map of evocative local landmarks with tracks titles like ‘Stonebridge’, ‘St Nick's House’, ‘Hardenhuish’, and ‘Two Mile Hill’ alludes to celebrate and mythologise Bristol and the West. Are these merely placeholders or oblique clues that Claude Cooper has purposely teased?

A Beanie Baby weasel, or possibly a mongoose? Something long and furry and toothed, anyway. Depsite being found in a box in the back of the attic, it looks to be in mint condition.The text inside the heart tag changes to a different snippet of cryptic poetry every time it’s opened. If it’s left unattended on a shelf with other, non-beanie plushes, all of them will mysteriously wind up on the floor, as though shoved off by a petty cat.
