Currently crying over that deleted s15 scene where salmondean are driving and Dean is fretting about the dog and worrying about if the doggy daycare he picked was good enough
Miracle was one of the last things that was left of Dean. Sam could hold on to him when he needed to feel closer to Dean. At some point in his life, Sam had to bury Miracle too and with him the last piece of memory of his brother. He had to lose him one more last time...
Miracle should have been a little princess dog, a fluffy perfect Pomeranian or something, that Dean had a little bag for so he could bring him everywhere and gets all the kisses and sparkly collars y/n?
(Also, I’m sure Covid interrupted a lot of stuff that got re-write, but what was the point of the dog? To show they were trying to move one? So that Sam wasn’t completely alone once Dean died? Cute pooch, but he’s just kinda…there? What character arcs does he show? That Dean isn’t afraid of dogs anymore? Because he’s more Dean's dog than Sam’s it seems and Sam getting a dog would cap off his arc better since he clearly always wanted one?? That it was easier to bring the dog back during Covid filming so he’s there to make the bros seem less alone haha?)
my only strong opinion about Miracle is that Miracle should have she/her pronouns. there just aren’t enough she/hers on SPN, and writing scenes with Dean and Miracle are easier for me that way. (this has nothing to do with the sex of the doggie actor playing Miracle, I just like she/her Miracle.)
I love fluffy perfect Pomeranian Miracle (although, keeping them that way requires frequent (monthly?) trips to the groomer, so maybe not an ideal dog for Dean). Miracle can be a Great Dane or an orange cat or a pit bull or a Maine Coon or a miniature giant space hamster and I will love her.
as long as Miracle is a cute fuzzy animal for Dean to hug, I’m in. (and my definition of “cute” is wider than most people’s.)
ugh, what was the point of anything in those last 2 eps? I get why they had the boys find Miracle and why they had Chuck then disappear her, but I feel no further thought was put into her beyond that. they didn’t bring her back afterward for any particular reason other than to finish what they started with her appearance, and that’s it.
Not for nothing, but this scene makes me cry every single time I see it. That is Dean, widowed a-fucking-gain, finding someplace to put his bootless love. Like, why did they make me watch this? Why did they break my fucking heart like this?
You ever think about the insanity of Crowley making it a point at the start of Dean’s demon arc that he never lied to Dean about the Mark of Cain, despite not telling the entire truth about it? And tells him that that’s important? But then Dean lies to him throughout the entirety of their mission to stop Cain? About being in Cain’s list? And about how he’d give back the blade to Crowley when he planned to give it to Cas all along? And how it mirrors Cas choosing Crowley over Dean way back in season 6? And him lying to Dean all throughout that season? And how it’s all about infidelity? You ever think about that?
