MHA trying to ask you out (Gone Wrong)
A/n: I decided to try an idea that just popped into my big bulky brain because yes! This features: Mirio, Tamaki, Shigaraki, Midoriya & Bakugo
Extra A/n: Requests are open, feel free to request anything!
TOGATA Mirio -
Tumblr media
He first met you after the fight with Overhaul. You and a bunch of students with healing quirks rushed into the room. Right before he fainted from blood loss, he saw your face. You were beautiful even with the serious expression on your face. You watched in amazement as he rushed out of his hospital room to go see Sir Nighteye.
When he got back to UA, he was helping students train by using him as a civilian in need. While coming back into the school, he saw you at the window. You looked up, saw him and waved. He waved back while Nejire watched with a smirk.
"You like her, don't you?"
"I do."
"Wow! So forward Mirio! Are you gonna ask her out?"
He nods. The thing is you are the second person to ever make him nervous. Like extremely nervous. You had a somewhat serious personality. He's rarely seen you smile. That's his main goal!
"I'm going to ask her out tomorrow!"
When tomorrow came, Mirio was sweating so bad. Even Tamaki was frightened.
"Mirio, you could always wait another day."
"No, I'm gonna do it today!"
You were usually in the medical office alone since Recovery Girl said you were fully capable of doing so. You see his tall frame in the middle of the doorway and peer over. A single pink tulip in his shaking hand.
"Did your stitches open again?" You question, quickly standing from your chair.
"N-No. I'm fine Y/n."
You raise an eyebrow at him and then eye the tulip.
"I-I wanted to ask you something Y/n."
"Go on."
"Would you like to go on a date-"
All of a sudden, he goes through the floor and his clothing. When he reappears, he's bare, booty, butt naked! Now you're both flustered and in complete shock. You turn your back to him and let out a breath. He can see your shoulders moving slightly. Were you laughing? He couldn't help but smile when he heard your snort.
"I - I haven't laughed like that in a long time! But yes, I will go out with you Togata."
He hands you the tulip and smiles at you.
"I'm glad!"
"You're still naked Togata."
"Oh right..."
---
AMAJIKI Tamaki -
Tumblr media
He always thought you were pretty; he's seen you around school sometimes. He was walking with Mirio and Neijire to go to Class 1-A when he saw you rushing to class. You gave him a small wave before continuing to your class. His face went red from the interaction.
"Someone caught your eye, Amajiki?" Neijire said, elbowing him softly in the arm.
He simply let out a groan and kept walking. During the representation of the Big 3, all he could think about was you. Even at lunch, he was just thinking of you and sighing. A confident person like yourself wouldn't want to be with him anyway.
"How about you just ask them Tamaki. It wouldn't hurt."
"It could."
"How about we all come with you to talk to her. We'll keep our distance."
He couldn't believe he agreed to those terms. He was extremely nervous already. Neijire found out your favorite flower and where you eat the most. He saw you talking to your friend outside, the sun making your skin and eyes glow like stars.
"Let's hurry Amajiki." She shoves a bouquet of [F/f]s into his hand and opens the door for him.
Soon your friend walks away and leaves you at the fountain. You mess with the water with your quirk. Amajiki approaches you nervously.
"Hey there, Amajiki! What's u-"
You catch sight of your favorite flowers and then Neijire in the background who was looking but quickly directed her attention back to Mirio.
"Are - Are those-" You couldn't help but let out a chuckle at the flowers. That's why Neijire was asking you those questions.
You take the flowers from Tamaki, accidentally brushing hands. Tamaki starts to fall backward into the fountain, but you use your quirk to gently cradle him with the water. You see Neijire and Mirio rush over to see what happened to Tamaki.
"He - He fainted. I can assume what he wanted to ask."
"And?" Neijire inquires, staring between you and Tamaki.
"I'll let him know whenever he wakes up. Will me answering directly make him faint again?"
"Probably..."
---
SHIGARAKI Tomura -
Tumblr media
(Takes place right before the battle in season 7 :) )
You were the one that gave him a lot of things. Dare I say a purpose. You were All for One's right hand and helped Shigaraki get started. AFO ordered you to stay with him for the first couple of years and then come back to him to work. Shigaraki's feelings grew for you after he saw what you could do and offer. He invited you into the League of Villains, but you declined and explained why you couldn't join.
He blamed his 'father' for being such a pain in the ass. You'd came back once and only once talking about a certain kid that AFO wanted for his quirk. But he can finally see you, without his father taking you away from him. He could almost cry when he saw you.
"Y/n..."
You turn around and face your boss. The city was in ruins all around.
"Shigaraki."
He walks over to you and leans against a big piece of rubble.
"I wanted to ask you something, if we're both alive after this."
A loud blast of wind shoots through the sky and you both direct your attention there. It's the kid that he was after. He brings you in for a hug, resting his chin on your shoulder.
"Get as far away from the city as possible."
He shoots into the air and leaves you amongst the rubble.
"WHAT IS IT THAT YOU WANTED TO ASK ME!?"
---
MIDORIYA Izuku -
Tumblr media
As soon as Izuku saw you walking down the hallway to your next class, he gathered his courage to speak to you. He simply waves and you wave back as you walk over to him.
“Hey Izuku! What’s up?”
“Y/n, what class are you coming from?”
He looks you up and down, noticing the stains on your face and clothes.
“Oh, Hatsume blew something up again and I was trying to help her fix it. We’re both fine, thank goodness.”
He nods along and adds onto the conversation before asking you a question. At least trying to…
“Y/n…”
“Izuku…”
“Would - would you like to go-“
All of a sudden, he is gone in a flash. You frantically look around trying to find where he went. Iida snatched him up by his hero costume and bought him right in front of their classroom. He runs back up to you and looks at you while adjusting his glasses.
“We were talking Iida…”
“It’ll have to wait, you should get to class L/n.”
Iida runs back to class 1-A and drags Izuku inside. His face was very red. Even from far away you could see it.
———
BAKUGO Katsuki -
Tumblr media
He really loved your quirk and you of course. He just didn’t know how to say it. He would stare at you a lot but turned and pretended to do something when you looked his way. To his friends, it was absolutely adorable how he was treating you.
He helped you during training and always shared some of his snacks with you. His friend group would watch in amazement, he was very territorial with his spicy chips and noodles. And they finally decided to confront him about it.
“Do you like L/n?”
“What are you trying to say?!”
“Why are you dodging my question?” Mina raised an eyebrow and smirked.
He simply scoffed and munched on his chips.
You entered the common area with a blanket wrapped around your shoulder. You said hello to everyone before sitting down next to Bakugo.
“I thought you were going to bed L/n.”
“I was but it’s so fucking cold in my room. I came out here to sit next to my personal heater.” You lean on Bakugo’s shoulder.
His friends whisper to each other before fake yawning and saying they were heading to their rooms. You say bye to them and huddle close to Bakugo.
Katsuki could feel his face heating up. He was unusually sweaty. He’s never sweated this bad before, only when in combat for his quirk.
“Y/n. Can I ask you something?”
“Mhm…” Your tired eyes looked into his red ones.
“I…I.” He looks at your lips and then back at your eyes. You’re smiling.
You’re both leaning in closer to each other and slowly closing your eyes. Then the door opens wide to reveal Deku. He came back from his run and his eyes widen when he sees the both of you.
“Uh… I’m gonna go.” He quickly speed walks to the hallway as Katsuki glares at him.
“Damned Deku…”
His eyes meet yours again and you both lean in again. You hear someone’s throat clear but ignore it and try to continue. Your eyes shoot open when you see Aizawa standing there, using his scarf to pull you both away from each other.
“It’s past curfew. Go to bed.”

When they realise they are in love with you...
Class 1A / Other UA Students / Pro Heroes / Villains
Tumblr media
How will these students react to realising that they are in love with you?
Featuring some more MHA students that you guys requested!
Mirio Togata, Tamaki Amajiki, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu & Hitoshi Shinso
Tumblr media
Mirio Togata
• Mirio is all smiles and sunshine, so at first, he doesn’t realize his feelings are different from the way he cares about his friends.
• He’s always been affectionate with you—playful teasing, big hugs, and bright grins—but one day, it feels different.
• He’s in the middle of telling a joke when he sees you laugh so hard you snort, and suddenly, his heart skips a beat.
• “Wait… I want to make them laugh forever. I think I love them?”
• He realizes he misses you a little too much when you’re not around, his day feeling duller without you.
• Probably blurts it out randomly while hanging out—like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
• “Oh, by the way, I think I love you! Kinda crazy, huh?”
Tumblr media
Tamaki Amijiki
• Tamaki struggles with emotions—he’s not good at understanding his own feelings, so realizing he loves you takes time.
• He knows he trusts you more than anyone else, which is rare for him.
• The moment he realizes? You stand up for him when someone mocks his shyness, and he’s speechless.
• “They… they care about me. I want to be by their side forever.”
• After that, he becomes extra nervous around you, face completely red whenever you’re near.
• Nejire instantly figures it out and teases him nonstop.
• His confession takes a lot of courage—he might stammer, look away, or fidget, but his words are 100% sincere.
• “I-I… I love you. I don’t know if I deserve you, but… I just wanted you to know.”
Tumblr media
Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu
• This man is so straightforward that he doesn’t even notice he’s in love at first.
• He just assumes it’s normal to think you’re amazing, talk about you constantly, and want to punch anyone who upsets you.
• But then, one day, you patch up his injuries after a fight, and he melts.
• “They’re so soft… and they care about me. Wait. WAIT.”
• When he realizes, he screams into a pillow for five minutes because he’s so bad at romance.
• His confession is so blunt it catches you off guard—
• “LISTEN. I LOVE YOU. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT, BUT I DO.”
Tumblr media
Hitoshi Shinso
• Shinso is used to pushing people away, so realizing he’s in love scares him at first.
• It hits him when he realizes you’re not afraid of his Quirk—you trust him completely, and that means everything to him.
• The moment he knows for sure? One night, he’s exhausted, on the verge of falling asleep, and you pull a blanket over him instead of waking him.
• “No one’s ever taken care of me like this before…”
• He starts wanting to hear your voice every day—it becomes his favorite sound.
• His confession is quiet but deeply meaningful—maybe in the dead of night when it’s just the two of you.
• “I didn’t think love was in the cards for me, but… it is. Because of you.”

The halls of U.A. were bustling with students, all eager to finish the day and head home. You walked at a brisk pace, mentally reviewing the notes from your last class, when a familiar voice called out to you from behind.
"Hey! Wait up!"
You barely had time to turn around before a pair of strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you into a warm, tight hug. It was Mirio Togata, of course. Who else would it be? His hugs were always so sudden, yet they never failed to make your heart skip a beat.
“Mirio!” You managed to gasp, trying to calm your racing heart. His broad chest pressed against you, his hands resting comfortably on your back as he held you close. The warmth of his body seeped through your clothes, sending a wave of heat rushing to your cheeks.
"Sorry," he laughed, finally releasing you, his hand lingering on your shoulder. "I saw you walking so fast and had to catch up."
You offered him a shaky smile, hoping he didn’t notice how flustered you were. "No worries, I was just trying to get to the dorms."
"Mind if I join you?" he asked, his usual cheerful grin lighting up his face. Without waiting for an answer, he slung his arm around your shoulders, steering you in the direction of the dorms.
You nodded, trying to focus on anything but the weight of his arm draped so casually around you. It wasn’t the first time he’d done something like this- hugs, pats on the back, holding your hand when you were crossing the street. These gestures were all second nature to Mirio, so casual and friendly that he probably didn’t even realize how they affected you. But each touch sent a jolt of electricity through your body, leaving you flustered and struggling to keep your composure.
As you walked, he chatted about his day, recounting some hilarious incident with Tamaki during training. His voice was bright and full of life, and you couldn’t help but smile at his enthusiasm. But your thoughts kept drifting back to the warmth of his arm, the way his fingers absentmindedly played with a strand of your hair as he spoke.
It was driving you insane- in a good way, of course. Every touch, every brush of his fingers, made your heart flutter. And the worst part? He seemed completely oblivious to the effect he had on you. Mirio was just being himself, warm and affectionate as always, never noticing how your pulse quickened or how your face heated up every time he got too close.
You reached the dorms sooner than you expected, and Mirio finally let go of your shoulders, much to your simultaneous relief and disappointment. You paused by the entrance, trying to steady your breath.
"Thanks for walking with me," you said, hoping your voice didn’t betray how flustered you felt.
"Anytime!" He gave you one of his signature grins, then ruffled your hair affectionately. "See you at dinner?"
"Yeah, see you then," you stammered, trying to ignore the way your heart was hammering in your chest.
As Mirio turned to leave, you let out a breath you didn’t realize you’d been holding. Your head was spinning, a mixture of giddiness and frustration bubbling inside you. How could he be so touchy, so close, and not see what it did to you?
But then again, this was Mirio. He was always warm, always kind. It was just who he was. And you couldn’t deny that, despite the way it drove you crazy, you didn’t really want him to stop.

What kind of S/O would the Big Three like?
Gotta do my man Amajiki first 👍🏽 adorable precious bean. Also, this is just my opinion, just remember ✌🏽🔥💖
Tamaki Amajiki
Tumblr media
Definitely someone social. Can't change my mind. Maybe someone in between extroverted and ambiverted? Extra points if you like the color red and/or black.
Maybe a hint of goth? Not as innocent as they act, probably have an extremely tough exterior.
Extra points if you have a backstory similar to his, like socializing but dislikes crowds, and long straight hair. Maybe a favorite character that's dark and edgy?
Definitely not someone TOO shy. That's his job ofc 👍🏽
Nejire Hado
Tumblr media
Someone shy. Don't get me wrong. Extra points if you like sketching and characters like Kuromi or Kirby.
Someone with the favorite color pink and maybe dark midnight blue? The darker shades of blue.
Pretty unsocial, maybe dark and cold towards everyone? I feel like Nejire would go out of her way to cheer them up and make them smile 24/7.
Definitely someone with short hair; or maybe a different more exotic hair style not normally seen? Especially around Japan.
Mirio Togata
Tumblr media
80s and 90s enthusiast definitely. Someone who laughs at his jokes and has a good sense of humor. Maybe also in between introverted and extroverted?
Likes fast and sassy characters preferably. Definitely American. 100+ points if your purely American.
Favorite colors like gray or/and purple? And a kind personality definitely.
Ngl, extra points if you have your hair in braids often. Especially if it's a lot of braids.

An Expanded Family: How They'd Be as Step-Parents
Warnings: Rated R. This content is intended for readers ages 18 years or older. If you are a minor, do not interact.
Contains: GN!Reader. Multiple family situations. Deceased parents. Coparenting. Absent parent. Blended families. Adoption of a younger sibling. Step-parent behavior.
Featuring: Izuku Midoriya. Ochaco Uraraka. Tenya Iida. Momo Yaoyorozu. Shoto Todoroki. Mirio Togata. Hitoshi Shinsou.
Author's Note: All characters are written to be adults because I am an old fuck :)
Tumblr media
Izuku Midoriya
It had been the first thing he learned about you. You were a parent. Parenthood was deeply engrained in the way you operated, especially in the Pro Hero space.
When you started dating, though, it became so much more complicated than that.
He started overthinking immediately.
Deku was a lot of things. A lot of little kids looked up to him. He met people every day, but the pressure of meeting your little one was extremely high.
Sometimes you'd catch him mumbling to himself, practicing how to talk to a little kid. He knew that screwing this up might mean losing you forever.
But there is literally no possible way that he could screw it up. In any universe.
He decided to go with you and your four year old son to a playground. He put together a picnic and everything.
Izuku was perfect.
You were sure you fell in love with him all over again, watching him on the playground with your baby.
He was a little awkward at first, but as soon as your son asked him to play tag, Midoriya was all over it.
Your baby had him climbing up slides, going down fireman's poles, swinging on swings, the works.
And you couldn't tell who was having more fun: Izuku or your son.
Sometimes, Deku would come over and babysit for you while you had to run off to work or to run an errand.
Izuku always just treated them like playdates or sleepovers, though.
He asks your son's permission for everything first. Especially when he's about to take big steps in the relationship, like moving in.
But when Deku asked your son if he could move in with you guys, your son got all wide eyed and excited.
"Yeah!" he exclaimed, smiling wide. "It'll be like a big sleepover!"
Midoriya knew your son had another parent, whether they were involved or not. He wasn't really trying to take over the father role.
It just fit him so well.
Soon, he found himself making pancakes and packing lunches and planning birthday parties.
Midoriya loved the life he had with you and your son. He loved it much more than he had anticipated.
And when you saw how much he loved your son, and how much your son loved him, it sealed the deal for you, too.
Tumblr media
Ochaco Uraraka
Ochaco was surprised to find out you had kids. You were always so put together.
Not that parents can't be put together, she supposed, but you just didn't really seem like the parent type when she met you.
But whenever she came over while your twin daughters were there, she immediately saw a different side of you.
It made her fall that much more in love with you.
The first time you asked her to babysit, you were on your way to the hospital to see your sister have her own baby. Their other parent was never really in the picture, and everyone else that you would normally ask to watch the babies was also going to the hospital.
Uraraka volunteered almost immediately.
She had been with the twins and you enough times that she thought she had the hang of it.
However, they were only three years old, and whenever it came time to feed them, Ochaco realized she knew so little about children.
Nothing she offered seemed to satisfy them. It took her a while to figure out what they wanted, with their picky palates.
But she did it, eventually.
She knew the routine. Dinner. Bath time. Show on the couch. Then bedtime in the room they shared.
That night, you came home to find your two girls asleep with their heads on Ochaco's lap, her head leaned back on the couch as she dozed, too.
You merely giggled and brought your two girls to their own beds, then brought Ochaco into bed with you.
After that, it took her a while to feel comfortable watching the girls without you.
But she was very good at following your parenting style whenever it was the two of you!
And, man they loved her.
Any chance they got, they dragged Ochaco into the floor to play with them.
Coloring books, ball games, dress up, anything they could convince her to do.
With your permission, she had even floated them a couple of times.
And it warmed your heart when you heard one of them ask her, "Ochaco, will you be my Mama?"
Tumblr media
Tenya Iida
You only got your baby every other week.
Your son was still a newborn, and his other parent was still very much a part of his life.
You wanted to make as much of the time you had with him as possible. So originally, Iida wouldn't come over during the weeks that you had him.
However, all of that changed when his dad wanted to switch weeks for a family event that you'd had going on.
You'd been so absent minded about it that you had forgotten to tell Iida.
Tenya had offered to just go back home and to reschedule his visit for the following week. But you thought that was as good a time as any for him to meet your son.
Iida met your baby while he was sleeping.
He was quiet and attentive, taking in the entire nursery. He didn't think you had shown him that part of your house before.
And even though he loved you and your son, it took a long time for him to really feel like he was part of your family.
I mean, you were seemingly still really close with the baby's other parent. He was never going to be able to step inside the bubble of your family.
Especially because Iida never really did the whole "step-father" thing.
At least, not in the way that anybody else usually did it.
He was more clinical, more calculating, the way he was with everything.
He didn't give the baby any baths or diaper changes for the first six months that you knew him, at least. He felt like it was inappropriate for him, as someone who isn't even related to the baby, to be doing those things for him.
He would do almost everything else, though. Feeding, playing, walks, different learning exercises, cleaning, more feeding.
You knew that everything he ever said or did was only because he cared about you and your baby.
However, he was always insecure about it. He never thought he'd be able to get your ex to trust him, and he never wanted to give either of you a reason not to.
Until you had a conversation with him about it.
You had a heart to heart about how it felt like you were doing a lot of things alone in your relationship and that you needed him to do a little more.
It was then that he told you how much he worried about things like diaper changes.
After you had a long talk about it, he revealed that he had no problem with those kinds of things. He just worried that it would affect the baby's development, to have a stranger around for intimate moments like diaper changes.
After that, he started to help more. He became stronger and stronger as a caregiver for your baby.
He would never be the baby's father. You both knew that. And Iida wasn't trying to be his father. All Tenya wanted was to love both of you for as long as he could.
Tumblr media
Momo Yaoyorozu
You had a ten year old daughter when you and Momo started dating.
In fact, Momo met your daughter almost right away. She didn't have much of a choice because you had a really hard time finding childcare for her while you were away.
Your ex wasn't in the picture and didn't want to be. You didn't want them to be either. And your family didn't exactly raise kids the way you wanted your daughter to be raised. So it was just you and your daughter for the last ten years.
Until Momo came along.
She started out as just a really good friend.
Plus, now your daughter had someone else to look up to in her real life. Momo was smart and powerful, and you wanted your baby to have a woman in her life to look up to. Momo was perfect.
And then it became so much more than that.
Soon, Momo was over every single day. She picked up your daughter from school when you couldn't. She helped with homework and studying. She made dinner and taught your daughter everything she could about math and science and chemistry and hero work, everything she could get out of her system
And your daughter really didn't know how to feel about Momo because she just came on so strong all the time.
I mean, your daughter did like Momo.
It was just hard for her not to have some big feelings. She only had one real parent, and she didn't like any of her other family because of how mean they were all the time.
And Momo went from her parent's friend that sometimes tutored her to the person that sometimes steals her only parent.
And sure, it was cool to have a superhero as a stepmom.
But really your daughter missed the days when it was just the two of you.
When you noticed, you were heartbroken. You apologized over and over, and you promised your daughter that you could plan more days for just the two of you.
Momo was fully supportive of you having more alone time with your daughter. She knew it was important for your daughter to have that bonding time.
Momo just wasn't really sure how to react at the news that your daughter wanted her around less. She hadn't really considered how much she cared for you and your family until then.
Somehow, even though Momo knew how important it was for your daughter to have you as a support system, she still felt rejected and sad. She didn't want to leave you alone.
Momo pulled away for a while. Not because she was angry or anything, but because she didn't know how much space she was supposed to give you to be with your daughter.
Eventually, your daughter did start asking about her again.
"When is Momo coming back over?" she asked one time on the way home from school. "I miss her."
It took a long time, but you eventually learned to balance your time with Momo and your time with your daughter.
Tumblr media
Shoto Todoroki
You took in your younger brother when your parents passed away.
You were happy to do so. The two of you had always been close, and you were happy to be the one who takes care of him.
But he was a bitter, emotional thirteen year old boy whose parents had just passed away. And there was nothing you could do to ease his pain.
You did everything you could think of. You started both of you in therapy. You spent quality time together. You made his favorite meals. You invited his friends over. But nothing consoled him.
He was mean and angry. He was sad and anxious. He insisted on being alone the majority of the time.
And you spent so much time trying to help him heal that you ended up isolating yourself.
That was when you met Shoto. He was a good shoulder to lean on. He was never judgmental of you or your situation. He always listened and never spoke until the time was right.
Todoroki also put you first, the way that you were never able to. And you fell in love with him months after your brother moved in with you.
You were extremely careful of the way you presented your relationship to Shoto to your brother. You thought it would be too quick of a change for him so soon after the last one.
Your worry actually led to you keeping it a secret for a little over a month.
It wasn't on purpose. You always meant to tell your brother that you had a boyfriend. But at first he just wasn't responsive to anything you said.
But then he met Shoto on accident.
Shoto went into your apartment to grab something you needed for work. It was only meant to be a quick trip to the apartment, and your brother wasn't meant to be there.
But he was. Your brother had skipped school. Apparently it's something he'd been doing for a while. He would just walk home after you left for work.
Shoto found him, and they struck up a deal. Todoroki would teach him some skills in combat and he would avoid telling you about the skipping class if your brother would stop skipping school altogether.
Suddenly, Todoroki became best friends with your younger brother.
Your brother became more social, more active. He started talking to you again. He started getting better grades in school. He started joining you for family dinners.
And when you were finally able to tell your brother about the nature of your relationship with Shoto, it turned out that he already knew.
Apparently, he overheard you on the phone with Todoroki one night.
Todoroki became increasingly protective over your brother.
He took your brother to nightly training sessions to help him work off his emotions.
Your brother even convinced Shoto to try going to therapy himself, something he had considered but never actually went through with.
After that day, they started becoming closer. Almost brotherly, almost the relationship you knew Shoto was missing from his siblings.
You knew they both needed each other.
And Todoroki was so spoiling for the both of you. He took you both on trips. He bought you gifts for holidays. He took you to dinner and to his Pro Hero parties and banquets.
Every once in a while, he would work late, and he would refuse to come back to your place because he didn't want to wake up your brother.
And one day, when Todoroki had been at his own apartment for several nights after being on late night patrols, you heard your brother ask you from the other room, "When is Shoto coming home?"
And ever since then, the three of you became a happy family.
Tumblr media
Mirio Togata
You and your daughter met Mirio in the park.
Your daughter had been just six years old. Her other parent had passed away when she was an infant.
Your parents lived far away, and your partner's parents couldn't bear to look at your daughter now that they'd had to bury their own child. And you couldn't really blame them because of how much she looked like her other parent.
It was just the two of you, you and your baby.
Mirio had brought is own daughter, one from a previous marriage.
Their divorce had been amicable, though his ex-wife had since made some poor life choices and was no longer able to visit or take his daughter on the weekends. So they spent their days visiting parks and playgrounds.
You met because your daughter had taken quite a fall off of the swings and scraped up her hands, and Mirio's daughter had helped her up. Mirio, then, helped her find you so you could bring her home.
You were thankful, and you took your daughter home after a brief exchange of niceties.
From then on, you always noticed him at the playgrounds you frequented. Your daughter became very good friends with his, and you found it in your best interest to become friends with Mirio.
The rest is history.
You found out that your daughters would be going to the same elementary school. And from then on, they did everything together.
Meaning that you and Mirio now did everything together, too.
Mirio was particularly doting on your daughter.
He would play with her whenever she asked, no matter how silly the game was.
He would give her piggyback rides into school.
He would nurture her whenever she needed loving.
But he also never neglected his own daughter. He made sure they still went out on their father-daughter dates to cafes and parks and playgrounds.
Watching him love the kids so much created a longing in your heart that was so strong you couldn't deny that you had feelings for him.
Eventually, things spiraled until the two of you were much, much more than friends.
You hadn't exactly explained anything to your daughters yet, but during a play date, they walked in on the two of you kissing.
It was innocent enough. Nothing got remotely steamy. But it was just an innocent moment.
You both startled when you heard "OoooooOOOOoooh!" from the two tiny voices peaking around the corner.
You all started laughing, and your daughters came bounding in the room. "You loooooove Mirio!" your daughter teased.
"Yeah, I guess I do!" you said with a smile, looking at him lovingly.
Mirio was just as doting and loving on your girls as he had been the entire time.
A couple of months into your relationship, you discovered that you were pregnant. And then a few months later, you welcomed a new baby boy into the family.
At first, your girls were so loving and doting on their brother. They "helped" feed him, change him, and bathe him, which really meant just talking to him and giving him lots of kisses.
But you could tell that something with your own baby girl had gone awry.
She would cling to you all hours of the day. She always wanted to be cuddling you, right by your side every minute of the day.
Eventually, she let it slip that she thought you and Mirio loved the new baby most.
You decided that you had to do something. Your baby had to know that you loved her just as much as the rest of the family.
So you set up a special time after the baby was laid down for bed at night where you all did something together.
Sometimes you'd watch a show and cuddle under blankets on the couch. Sometimes you'd play board games together. And sometimes you would take turns reading parts of books.
You each took your girls out on solo adventures whenever you could, making sure to spend time with them just as you did one another.
You did your best to make sure that your family unit all felt loved the way they deserved.

Hitoshi Shinsou
Shinsou actually met your eight year old son first.
You had been holiday shopping on one of the busiest nights of the year.
You knew you shouldn't have brought him with you. You knew you should've just waited until your parents could watch him.
But now, here you were, frantically running around the shopping center, waiting for your eyes to lock with his.
You couldn't help but shame yourself while you searched for him.
First, you got pregnant in high school. You knew you weren't mature enough to have a child, and all of this proved it. You were still a child yourself. You had no business raising a kid all on your own.
And then you saw it.
You saw your son being led through the crowd with a man with purple hair, and you finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Fast forward to a year and a half later, and you and that man were moving into the same apartment.
Shinsou had proven to be an amazing parent, even if he really hadn't seen himself as a parent before.
He knew he wasn't really the "step-dad" type, and he never pretended to be.
He just wanted to care for you and your son as much as possible.
Hitoshi really struggled at first.
Sometimes, when he was over, he just couldn't understand why he could wake you up in the night with some love and affection.
Eventually, you explained that your son's face was peacefully sleeping on the other side of the wall between your bedrooms. "What the hell would you do if he walked in, 'Toshi?" you had eventually asked.
The look on his face seemed like he'd seen a ghost when you asked.
It took him a long time to get used to the schedule, too.
You and your kid got up so freaking early.
And yeah, he knew it was for school. But that didn't mean he wasn't grumpy about the alarm buzzing on your bedside table at six every morning.
One morning, though, he had been awake when your son had woken up from a nightmare.
You would have been happy to wake up and be there for your son. But Hitoshi also knew this was his chance to really bond with him in a way he hadn't been able to. So he got up and led your son into the kitchen.
Hitoshi took the time to heat up some milk with honey and cinnamon mixed in, just like in that movie he had watched with you and your son recently... Oh, what was it called?... He couldn't remember.
They talked about the dream. Shinsou told your son all the ways that he remembered to be brave when he was afraid.
And ever since then, your son went to Shinsou for everything. It was like he was obsessed with your boyfriend.
Ever since then, they were best friends, always getting into one thing or another together.

Mirio Tōgata: Zero
Fandom: BNHA // MHA — [Masterlist]
Summary: ~1.2k, fluff
• Your hunt for your absent classmate leads you to a Class 1A impromptu training session, which is entertaining until Mirio drags you into it too.
Warnings: None
>>>>——————————>
Tumblr media
The Big Three.
None of them had placed in the sport festival during the previous year, and their personalities were one of their standout notabilities.
The festival winner though? That prestige belonged to you, as did the gold medals from each festival you'd won so far. You were not deemed apart of the Big Three, that right was truly earned by the current title holders - instead you were ground zero.
"Tōgata... you're fighting the first years?"
The sudden interruption caught the attention of the entire class, but none more so than Mirio.
"Ah (Y/n)! Our lovely ray of sunshine~"
In an instant your classmate appeared before you wearing his usual warm smile (and lack of track jacket), so when scanning the defeated students of 1A you understood why he was absent.
"I'm the furthest thing from sunshine, but this is why you're not in class? I'll take notes for you then." With your mission accomplished you went to leave, only to be interrupted by one of your underclassmen.
"Wait, you're the winner of your year groups’ last sport festival right?"
"Yes! And the one before that!" Whilst you didn't reply, Nejire was all too excited to answer on your behalf.
"We may be the Big Three, but (L/n) (Y/n) is known as Zero - which comes before one, two, and three!" Tōgata proudly followed up, leaving you diverting their praise the best you could.
"I'm only good in a fight, Mirio is by far the better hero in more ways than one. Amajiki and Nejire too.”
"So does that mean you could challenge him?" Denki casually asked the question, one that left you walking away until your arm was effortlessly caught in a careful grip - the owner unphased by your escape attempt and maintaining his upbeat attitude.
"Let's show them (Y/n)!"
"No - I’m sure they’ve seen enough of you already, literally."
"It'll be fun, c'mon demonstrate that any opponent has a weakness if you work hard enough." He fist bumped the air as if encouraging both you and them, and somehow you couldn’t find it in your cold heart to refuse him.
You heaved a sigh of defeat, a single nod of acceptance giving Mirio the opportunity to entwine your hand with own and gently tug you into the battle area alongside him.
"Are you ready? If I injure you, notify me immediately and I'll carry you to the infirmary." The blonde was always so considerate, but you'd provide the same courtesy if necessary.
"Same to you Tōgata.”
Elongated shade slithered across the ground at your will, only the most attentive of individuals would notice the minute wavering of surrounding cast shadows. For a number 1 contender and festival winner, it was natural you both got a few solid hits. Your classmate was undoubtedly strong but his attacks could be evaded and when the opportunity presented itself you took advantage like that of an assassin.
Suddenly he froze in place, the figure of you he'd punched through swished into darkness whilst he kept a smile.
"Aha! A decoy, you lured me to shadier areas of the field so I couldn't deduce that right away."
"Yeah. Even though you remained directly under light sources throughout the battle to minimise its size, you just left your shadow wide open." You remained casually seated on the ground from where you'd reformed via the shadows, fingertips placed on Mirios' silhouette.
"As well as utilising darkness, once (Y/n) touches the shadow of a living being, they gain control of them. I can no longer move or use my quirk of my own free volition." Tōgata gladly informed, then switched his attention solely to you with a softer tone. "I'm yours."
"So you give up?"
"Nope, a hero never gives up!" Again his cheerful wit returned meanwhile your expression fell to a deadpan one, knowing he would likely stay here for hours but instead you flicked to the Sensei.
"I can have him choke himself into unconsciousness, would that be considered a win?" Upon hearing your inquisition, Aizawa painfully sighed, the class looked horrified, and Mirio openly laughed.
"Ah I appreciate your dark humour."
"Alright, raise your right hand if you surrender to me." Immediately with a twitch of your fingers, he did exactly as you asked regardless of his complaints. "Look at that! Match over."
"(L/n)s' quirk isn't all that offensive considering shadows have no physical impact. Instead their way of thinking and consistent training has allowed them to exploit their quirk in such a way that allows victories over strong opponents." Amajiki explained further, addressing the utter awe of Class 1A.
"So that would mean larger groups would be an issue for them?"
"No it'd have the same outcome Mirio had with your class since both of their quirks let them phase through attacks and 'teleport'." The third year tilted his head at the sight of his friends harmoniously interacting. "They constantly learn from each other."
The class snapped to the two of you now, watching as Tōgata fussed around you like a bee buzzing about a flower. Even if you seemed mildly irritated by his concern.
"I'm fine." It was spoken exasperatedly as you brushed off dust, regardless of the morphing shadow monsters on the rock beside you.
"(L/n) is kinda scary huh?" Denki offhandedly commented when overlooking the scene which Hado chose to elaborate on.
"That's because they're already on the 'Heroes Who Look As Though They Should Be Villians' list! Y'know, because of (Y/n)s’ quirk most likely."
"Nejire, don't bring that up. It was hard for (Y/n) to hear considering they aren't even a pro yet." Tamaki quietly chastised, the girl covering her mouth apologetically but the whole class seemed invested by such trivia.
It registered in that moment, why Mirio adamantly dubbed you 'sunshine' despite the contrasting darkness of your quirk. It was his way of reminding you that you were still full of light to those around you.
Heroes support other heroes, not just civilians.
"Well then I hope you all learnt something from us! See you around, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!"
Yourself and Amajiki stood beside one another against the wall muttering 'please hesitate' as you sunk to the floor, waiting until Mirio and Nejire were finished with farewells. It was then Tōgata offered you his hand, pulling you to your feet before swiftly lifting you into his arms with amusement lacing his tone.
"You may be injured (Y/n), I went all out after all so naturally I’ll carry like we agreed!"
"Tōgata put me down! I'm absolutely fine!" It was a harsh reply to his ridiculous antics but nothing he wasn’t expecting considering his bemused chuckle and justification whilst walking toward the exit.
"As a helpful hero I can always carry you to your next class?"
"No! That's it, I'm letting the darkness consume me and it's all your fault." With that you dissolved, phasing through matter and reforming by his side - a playful jab sent to his arm.
"Hilarious, unfortunately you are too bright for that to ever happen (Y/n). I look forward to working together in the future.”
Amajiki and Nejire watched the display of ‘friendship’ alongside the mostly defeated Class 1A, the talkative third year speaking as freely and eagerly as usual with a geniune innocent curiosity to her voice.
"Do you think (Y/n) knows Mirio has a crush on them?"
"Nejire-chan!"

You're The One: My Hero Academia x Reader
Warnings: Rated R. This content is intended for readers ages 18 years or older. Minors, do not interact.
Featuring: Izuku Midoriya. Ochaco Uraraka. Shoto Todoroki. Tsuyu Asui. Momo Yaoyoroza. Mirio Togata. GN!Reader.
Contains: Fluff. Panic attack/overstimulation.
Summary: There comes some point in every relationship when you realize you're going to marry the other person. This is that moment.
Tumblr media
Izuku Midoriya
It wasn’t too often that you and Izuku actually got to go out on a date. You texted all the time, but your jobs made your lives so busy that you didn’t have much time for little adventures. Today, though, you had planned to go to the natural history museum.
You and Midoriya were walking around next to the T-Rex exhibit when you heard the scream of a little kid around the corner. Instinctively, both of your gazes whipped to see a little boy who seemed to have lost his grown-ups. Before Midoriya could even say anything, you knelt down in front of the little boy and spoke so gently. “Hey there,” you said, coaxing the little kid to try and calm down to talk to you. “Are you okay?”
The little boy rubbed one of his eyes and took a stuttering breath. “Want Mama,” was all he was able to get out.
“Come on,” you had said, extending a hand to the little boy. You took him to a security guard and stayed with him all the way until his parents came to find him.
When Midoriya asked you about it later, you only said, “Well I couldn’t just leave him! He was already so scared.”
And his heart warmed, thinking about the prospect that any child the two of you made together would be sensitive, too. And that you’d be prepared for all of it.
Ochaco Uraraka
The fact that you were doing this in the first place was asking a lot.
You knew that when Uraraka said she would teach you to fight. You had mentioned taking self-defense classes in passing, especially because she was a hero, so strong and cool and perfect. But that led to Ochaco begging you to just let her train you. And how could you say no to her ever?
That was how you ended up in a gym with her, your shoulders pinned to a mat four times in a row. Your muscles ached. You were sweating. You were sorely out of shape in a way you didn’t realize until that day. And she was trying to be so sweet and encouraging, but it was hard to stay motivated when your girlfriend was kicking your ass at any opportunity.
“That was better!” she said encouragingly. “Try that again, but this time, let the momentum carry your leg for the follow-through. It’ll help you keep your balance.”
You got up and did the drill again. And again. And again. And finally, you had her pinned by the shoulders to the mat, a look of pride and satisfaction in your eyes, even if you were drenched in sweat. Both of you were breathing heavily, but when she saw that look on you, she decided she wanted to see it every single day.
Shoto Todoroki
One thing about your relationship with Shoto, the two of you had a routine. You took turns in each other’s apartments, alternating where you spent the night. You took turns making dinner, although most of Shoto’s nights to cook involved takeout from somewhere because he was just so busy. Your lives were mapped out perfectly.
So it was really odd when Shoto came into your apartment and went straight to your bedroom without so much as a hello. You took it upon yourself to go check on him. You poked your head through your bedroom door. “Hey–” you gently called, cutting yourself off when you saw Shoto sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. You saw him tense a little at the sound of his voice.
“Sweetheart,” you called, stepping further into the room and crouching in front of him. You gently tugged his hands from his face so you could hold them. “What’s wrong?”
Shoto closed his eyes and sighed. “I… don’t know,” he said apprehensively. You could tell that he stopped himself from however he was going to answer. But you didn’t want to push any further. He would talk when he was ready, and not a moment before.
“D’you need a minute?” you asked, one of your hands resting on his knee. “Or do you wanna cuddle a little before dinner?”
Shoto’s eyes snapped to yours at the mention of cuddling. After a quick agreement and some shuffling around, he laid his head on your chest and let the steady sound of your heartbeat soothe whatever feeling had made a home in his chest. And he wondered how he had ever survived without you before.
Tsuyu Asui
You knew Tsu loved to swim. It was kind of a given, considering the fact that she was a frog. After a few dates, she invited you to come swimming with her, even if it was just for a little while. But you had a secret that you weren’t quite ready to give up.
You had put it off long enough, you decided on the third time she tried to ask you. So you met her at the freshwater beach that she’d invited you too. You tried to stay completely dressed, but with a little coaxing, you realized there was no getting out of it.
You sat on the shore in your swimsuit, just barely in the water, watching Tsu have fun. She kept coming up to check on you, over and over just to make sure you were still having fun. And of course you were having fun. You were with her.
When she came up to ask why you weren’t swimming, you rubbed the back of your neck and nervously replied, “I, uh… don’t really feel like it.”
Tsu tilted her head and looked up at you. After a beat of silence, she said, “You can’t swim,” rather than asking. Your silence and red cheeks told her all she needed to know. “You could’ve told me that, y’know.”
She couldn’t understand why you hadn’t said anything. But she realized how lovely you were for stepping out of your comfort zone just to make her happy. You got lots of kisses that night.
Momo Yaoyorozu
It had been so simple, really.
You and Momo had been out on a couple of dates. You liked her. Really liked her. And she liked you too, more than she thought she would. You talked about anything and everything, and you hung on every word she said, whether she realized it or not.
Finally, after four or five dates, you decided to just have a night in at your apartment. Almost automatically, you put on some hot water for tea, knowing that you didn’t even have to ask if Momo wanted a cup of tea.
Momo watched you work in the kitchen, waiting for the tea to brew properly. She wasn’t even paying much attention to what you were doing, only that you were boiling water for tea. She was talking to you about some of the hero work she had been doing, and your individual actions hadn’t even really crossed her mind.
But then she took a sip of the tea you placed in front of her, and she stopped.
It was perfect.
You were perfect.
Mirio Togata
Mirio went out of his way to make your first date perfect. You were none the wiser to his plans. To you, it seemed like any first date. Awkward and flirty and sweet, with just a little corniness, because Mirio doesn’t know how to do things any other way.
He’d been paying attention to things you liked. You liked books and sweets and bubble tea. You liked colors and soft music and rain. Mirio had you in mind with every plan, even though it seemed spontaneous. Coffee turned into lunch, then dinner, then ice cream. You just couldn’t separate. After getting something fun to drink, he led you on a walk through a park as the sun was setting.
Even with all of Mirio’s meticulous planning and his attempt at perfection, you still managed to surprise him. You saw a little playground off to the side of the path, and holding his hand, you tugged him toward the swings. “Come swing with me,” you said, a touch of childlike wonder in your voice.
I’m going to marry her, was the only thought occupying his mind.

Mirio Togata - playful, loving, powerful in bed
Tumblr media
1. He’s so goddamn cheerful about sex. “Oh wow, you’re so wet already! That’s hot as hell—good job!” He praises everything. He gets so excited about making you feel good it’s almost overwhelming.
2. He’s strong as hell. He can lift you, flip you, pin you, fuck you against any surface and he does it with that adorable, sweet smile. He loves holding you in his lap while you ride him, arms locked tight around your waist like you’re his favorite toy.
3. He gets ridiculously turned on by your moans. The louder you are, the harder he pounds. His post-nut cuddles are elite. Warm, clingy and full of “did you like it?” with big puppy eyes while you’re still seeing stars.

TW: Cuteness overload
On with the show!!~
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The workshop was buzzing with the low hum of families, children, and the occasional burst of laughter as small hands sifted through shelves of soft, plush animals. The inside of the store was a bright kaleidoscope of colors—soft pastels, warm yellows, and gentle blues—all blending together to create a welcoming, cheerful environment.
Display stands were stacked with teddy bears, bunnies, and a whole host of other creatures waiting to be brought to life by eager kids.
At the heart of it all, the sound of stuffing machines whirring and squeaking filled the air, punctuated by the chatter of customers and employees. Soft pop music played overhead, further adding to the lively yet calming atmosphere.
A few young children were gathered near the sound booth, picking out voice boxes with silly phrases to stuff inside their soon-to-be cuddly companions. Others ran up and down the aisles with parents trailing behind, trying to keep up.
Mirio stood at the front of the store with Eri, his hand gently resting on her head as she stared wide-eyed at the rows upon rows of plush animals. Her large, curious red eyes scanned the store with wonder, her small hands clutching the hem of her dress, shifting slightly as she took in the world of soft toys around her. Mirio, ever the doting older brother figure, smiled down at her, eyes sparkling with excitement for her.
It was sensory overload for her, truely. And while he felt bad about it, Mirio would rather Eri get the full experience of picking out her snuggle buddy than choosing it fo herr. He wanted this to be a gentle push into feeling more secure and independent for Eri.
Plus, he just wanted to spoil her.
“Alright, Eri, feel free to look around, okay?” Mirio said brightly, crouching down to meet her gaze, his grin wide and reassuring. “I just need to pop to the restroom for a sec. But don’t worry—Shinsou’s on his way, and I’ll be right back.”
Eri nodded shyly, her gaze shifting from Mirio to the endless selection of stuffed animals. He gave her a gentle pat on the head before standing up and sending a quick text to Shinsou, letting him know where they were. After giving Eri another smile and checking the time, Mirio quickly made his way toward the back of the store, disappearing into the hallway.
Eri, now left to her own devices, wandered through the aisles slowly. She kept her hands close to herself, unsure if it was okay to touch anything. She passed by shelves filled with fluffy bunnies, tiny bears with sailor hats, and even some superhero-themed plush toys, her steps hesitant and light.
Meanwhile, you were working the floor, wearing your red apron over a pastel goth outfit that contrasted sharply yet charmingly with the colorful ambiance of the store.
Your black, ripped jeans paired with the soft lavender of your belt, along with streaks of pastel blue and royal purple in your hair, stood out against the otherwise bubblegum, playful environment. Your outfit was a perfect blend of soft and edgy, a subtle rebellion that felt at home in a store that encouraged creativity and individuality.
As you helped another customer pick out accessories for their bear, you spotted Eri, her small form almost lost among the towering shelves. She seemed unsure of where to go or what to do, her wide eyes darting from shelf to shelf as if searching for something familiar.
“Hey there,” you greeted softly, approaching her slowly so as not to startle her. You crouched down a bit to her level, keeping a respectful distance.
“Are you looking for someone special today?”
Eri blinked up at you, her eyes a little wary but not frightened. She nodded, pointing toward the top shelf where a fluffy white bear sat. It was out of her reach, and you could tell she didn’t want to ask for help outright.
You smiled warmly, standing up and walking over to a nearby ladder. “Let me grab something real quick, and then you can do the honors.”
After propping the ladder in place, you climbed up to grab a toy "grabber" from a top shelf—a long plastic tool that could be used to reach high items. You offered it to her, the soft click of the mechanism echoing slightly as you showed her how to use it.
“Here, why don’t you give it a try? You can get the bear all by yourself,” you said, handing her the grabber with a gentle smile.
Eri hesitated for a moment, her fingers twitching nervously around the grabber’s handle. But after a moment, her determination kicked in. She extended the tool toward the bear, eyes focused in concentration as she squeezed the handle and caught the plush animal.
With a small, triumphant smile, Eri pulled the bear down, holding it carefully in her arms as though it were fragile. You gave her a little cheer, nodding in approval.
“Great job! That’s a cute one,” you said softly, watching as she hugged the bear close to her chest, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “Do you want to make it extra special? I can help you with the heart ceremony.”
Eri looked up at you, curiosity filling her eyes. She nodded, and you led her to the heart ceremony station, where the soft plush hearts were kept. You gently explained the steps, making sure to give her the space to do everything herself, guiding her through the motions.
“Rub your heart in your hands for warmth,” you said with a kind smile, mimicking the action with your own plush heart. Eri followed suit, her small hands rubbing the heart together.
“Pat your heart for your friend's heartbeat forever, rub them on your head for smart thoughts, and rub them on each other so they know you're best friends.”
As you continued through the ceremony, Eri became more engaged, a light giggle escaping her lips as she touched the heart to her elbow when you added with a playful grin, “And don’t forget to tap your elbow so your new friend will always be funny!”
Eri’s eyes lit up with the little details, and she smiled brightly as she hugged the heart to her chest before placing it inside her new bear.
Behind her, in the shadow of the store’s entrance, Mirio watched quietly, a warm smile creeping across his face. He hadn’t expected to see Eri so at ease, especially in a new place. The way you respected her space, never crowding or overwhelming her, made his chest swell with gratitude. He was about to step forward when he felt a familiar presence behind him.
“What’re you staring at?” Shinsou’s voice broke the moment as he approached, giving Mirio a teasing look.
Mirio turned with a grin, his blue eyes bright as he spotted Shinsou approaching. Shinsou, dressed in his usual casual wear—a dark hoodie and jeans—stood out among the bright colors and vibrant energy of the workshop. His messy purple hair framed his face as he shoved his hands into his pockets, watching Mirio with a raised brow.
“Just watching Eri have a good time,” Mirio replied, motioning toward the heart ceremony station. Shinsou’s eyes followed, his expression softening slightly when he saw the little girl happily finishing up the ceremony with her new plush bear. She was beaming now, her earlier hesitancy gone, replaced by a sense of accomplishment and joy.
“Looks like she’s having a good time,” Shinsou muttered, his tone more affectionate than usual. He had grown attached to Eri in his own quiet way, often showing up to hang out with her when he could.
He wasn’t the type to get openly sentimental, but moments like this made him feel lighter.
Mirio clapped a hand on Shinsou’s shoulder, his grin widening. “Thanks for coming, by the way. I know it’s not your scene, but Eri likes having you around.”
Shinsou shrugged, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. “Yeah, well you know I can’t say no to her.”
As they stood there, watching Eri carefully adjust her bear’s fur you approached with a gentle smile. Spotting Mirio and Shinsou near the entrance, she gave them a nod of acknowledgment before turning her attention back to you.
“Does your bear have a name yet?” you asked softly, crouching down again to meet Eri’s eye level. She looked up at you with that same small smile, thinking for a moment as she hugged her bear tighter.
“Yes,” she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper, but there was a sense of pride in her choice. Mirio watches with some confusion as Eri whispers it to you.
“That’s a perfect name,” you said with a warm chuckle, standing up and adjusting your apron as you prepared to ring her up. “Let’s get him all set up, then.”
Eri followed you toward the shelves with outfits, clutching Lemi in her arms as she gazed around the store one last time. You noticed how she kept glancing toward Shinsou and Mirio as if checking to make sure they hadn’t disappeared. They both gave her a reassuring wave from across the store, and she visibly relaxed, her steps becoming more confident.
You glanced up from the shelves, your eyes briefly meeting Mirio’s. He stood near the entrance, staring at you a little longer than necessary, his broad shoulders outlined by the glow of the afternoon sun. He had that goofy grin, the one that lit up his entire face, but there was something more behind it, a quiet admiration in his gaze.
Just as you return to checking on Eri, a figure sidled up beside Mirio. Shinsou, with his shit eating grin, elbowed him lightly in the ribs.
“You’ve been staring at her for five minutes, man,” Shinsou teased in his usual deadpan tone. “Why don’t you just go over there and say something?”
Mirio blinked rapidly, his grin faltering for the briefest moment as his face flushed a deep pink. “W-What? No, I wasn’t—”
“Yeah, right,” Shinsou cut in, rolling his eyes. “I could practically hear your heart pounding from across the room.” He gave Mirio a little push toward you and Eri, who was carefully adjusting the tiny outfit on her new bear, completely oblivious to the commotion behind her.
“Go on, big guy. She’s right there.”
Mirio stumbled forward, awkwardly regaining his footing with a sheepish laugh. His usual confidence was nowhere to be found as he approached, Shinsou trailing behind him with a lazy, amused stride.
You stepped in front of Eri protectively the moment you saw the two boys approaching. Instinctively, you put yourself between her and the newcomers, your body tense as you sized them up, ready for anything. But before you could say a word, Eri’s face lit up at the sight of her two of her favorite boys.
“Mirio! Shinsou!” she squealed, her eyes bright with excitement. She hopped up and down on the spot, holding her newly made bear in front of her like a prized possession.
The tension in your shoulders eased slightly, but you stayed close to Eri, watching the interaction carefully. Mirio’s flustered expression softened as he knelt down to Eri’s level, his smile warm and familiar again.
“Hey Eri! Who’s this?” he asked, motioning toward the bear in her arms.
Eri beamed, a little confused, and pointed up at you. “She’s my new friend.”
Mirio leaned in, squinting at you with a faux-serious expression. “New friend, huh? Looks like a tough one,” he said, his voice light. You huff and laugh before he stuff his hands in his back pockets and rocks before he then pokes the bear gently and then adds with a sincere tone, “You’re so cool, Eri!”
Eri giggled, hugging the bear closer and you nod, “She is!”
You couldn’t help but smile at the scene, the warmth of it spreading through you. Eri seemed so comfortable with him, like a big brother and his quiet, teasing friend.
“So,” you began, looking between the three of them, “is this your brother?” you asked, gesturing toward Mirio, though you couldn’t quite keep the teasing edge out of your voice.
Mirio laughed, scratching the back of his head. “Ah, no, not exactly. But I do look after her,” he explained, his eyes softening as he glanced at Eri. “She’s special to us.”
You nodded, your heart warming at his response. “That’s sweet. You seem to care about her a lot.” Just as you were about to hand Eri back over to Mirio, the workshop’s door swung open once again.
The air in the room shifted as a tall, scruffy figure walked in, wearing his signature black scarf draped loosely around his shoulders.
Aizawa, with his ever-tired eyes and a slight slouch in his posture, made his way toward the group, his wallet already in hand. His gaze flickered between you and Eri, who immediately perked up at the sight of him.
“Dad!” Eri called out, her small voice carrying across the room.
Aizawa’s tired expression softened at her excitement, and he gave a small nod before turning his attention to you. “I see you’ve made a friend,” he said, his voice low but not unkind. He held up his hero license for your reassurance. “I’m her guardian.”
You blinked in surprise, your cheeks flushing as you realized your earlier assumption. “Great, these guys are nice but I couldn’t release her to them without a parents' permission,” you stammered, bowing your head slightly. “I just wanted to make sure she was with someone safe.”
Aizawa’s lips twitched into the faintest hint of a smile. “No need to apologize. You did the right thing by being cautious. I appreciate how well you’ve treated her.”
Your heart fluttered at his words, a sense of relief washing over you. Eri, still clutching the golden teddy bear, grinned up at Aizawa, clearly happy to see him. Mirio, ever the optimist, gave a thumbs-up toward you.
“See? You’re great with her,” he said, his usual enthusiasm returning.
Aizawa ruffled Eri’s hair gently, glancing over at you once more. “Thanks for helping her. She doesn’t trust people easily, but she seems to like you.”
Eri nodded vigorously, hugging the golden bear tighter. “I do!”
You could have been knocked over with a feather with how happy you felt making that little girl smile and help her create a core memory.
The moment settled into a quiet comfort, the soft hum of the workshop around you, as Aizawa stood by Eri’s side, and you felt a quiet sense of connection with the little girl.
She has a good family here, no doubt about it.
You chuckled softly to yourself as you grabbed the small wooden step stool tucked near the counter. With a fluid motion, you brought it over to Eri, who eagerly clambered up onto it. Her tiny hands reached up toward the counter and placed her new bear, who sat proudly.
The excitement in her eyes was contagious as she carefully took in the action of you scanning the bear and filling in the information Aizawa gave you into the database before sliding her friend back into her hand, giving the bear a quick once-over as if to make sure nothing was out of place.
“Look! Isn’t he cute?” Eri beamed, holding the new playmate out for Aizawa and Mirio to inspect. Mirio, still a bit flustered from earlier, managed to nod, though words seemed to escape him. Shinsou, as usual, wasn’t going to let that slide.
“Come on, big guy, she’s waiting for some praise,” Shinsou said with a raised brow, nudging Mirio with his elbow.
Mirio blinked, looking between Eri and the bear as if his brain had short-circuited.
“Y-Yeah! She’s adorable!” he finally managed to say, his voice a little too loud in his eagerness.
You smiled at the scene, turning back to Eri. “Alright, let’s fill out these ‘adoption papers’ for him, okay?” You handed Eri a small form—a fun, simple sheet for her to fill out with her little buddies name, favorite activities, and promise to care for her new friend.
Eri took the sparkle pom pom pen with a determined nod, sitting cross-legged on the stool as she began writing carefully.
As Eri focused, her soft voice floated up toward you. “Just like with me!” she said brightly, her small hand gripping the pen a little tighter.
The words sent a wave of silence through the room. It was as if time itself froze. Mirio, Shinsou, and Aizawa all exchanged looks, the weight of her innocent statement hanging in the air. The unspoken gravity of her situation, how she was adopted by Aizawa after everything she had been through, washed over the group.
You, on the other hand, had pieced it together when you saw the two walk in and seen how nervous Eri seemed with touch. Hence why you offered her some alternative instead of being more hands on like your coworkers.
For a moment, the noise of the workshop dimmed, replaced with a quiet reverence of her writing.
Before anyone could respond, the door burst open, and Izuku came stumbling in, dripping wet, his breath ragged and his wild hair sticking to his forehead. It was immediately clear what had happened—he’d just been thrown into the fountain outside.
Again.
“I-I’m okay!” he wheezed, hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. Eri’s solemn face broke into pure delight at the sight of him.
“Izuku!” she cheered, waving enthusiastically, her spirits immediately lifted. She proudly signed the adoption papers with a flourish before handing them to you.
You smiled warmly, taking the papers from her and carefully boxing up the teddy bear. “Alright, your new friend is all set,” you said, handing Eri the box, which she clutched to her chest protectively.
Before anyone could fully relax, Monoma and Bakugou came charging into the room, both out of breath and clearly mid-argument.
Monoma was the first to speak, of course. “Just so you know, he—” he pointed dramatically at Bakugou “—backhanded Izuku into the fountain.”
Katsuki snarled, glaring daggers at Monoma. “Tch, for once it was an accident! I was trying to punch you.”
“Is that supposed to make it better?” Monoma scoffed, crossing his arms.
“Would my fist up your ass make it better?” Bakugou barked, clenching his fists as the two squared off, their bickering quickly escalating.
Aizawa sighed deeply, massaging his temples. “Of course,” he muttered under his breath before excusing himself from the registrar desk. He stepped between the two boys, his exhaustion palpable.
“Enough,” he said flatly, voice laced with authority, but it didn’t stop them from grumbling at each other.
Shinsou, watching with a smirk, took this as his cue. He gave Mirio a subtle nudge forward, his hands resting casually behind his back as if he hadn’t just shoved the older boy in your direction. Mirio, unsteady and blushing all over again, stumbled toward you, barely managing to stay upright.
“Guess you’re up,” Shinsou said with a sly, Cheshire grin before trailing after Aizawa, clearly entertained by the chaos.
You raised an eyebrow at Mirio, who now stood awkwardly in front of you, looking like he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the right words. His usual confidence had all but evaporated, leaving him standing there, fidgeting under your gaze.
You continued packing up a few more supplies, carefully organizing the boxes behind the counter. The soft rustling of tissue paper filled the air as you folded up some final pieces of merchandise, stacking them neatly. Mirio, still trying to recover from Shinsou's teasing, stumbled up toward you, his large frame knocking gently into the edge of the registrar desk.
“Oh! Sorry about that!” he blurted, immediately looking down at you with an apologetic smile.
You glanced up, amused by his flustered state. “No sweat. Nothing's broken, so we’re all good.”
You waved off his apology with a casual grin before returning to your packing, carefully organizing the boxes behind the counter. The soft rustling of tissue paper filled the air as you folded up some final pieces of merchandise, stacking them neatly.
“So,” you began, trying to ease the tension with a playful smirk, “is getting pushed around by 'Shinsou' part of the usual dynamic, or is this a special occasion?”
Mirio laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Uh, yeah, I think he’s just having fun at my expense today,” he admitted sheepishly, his smile returning, albeit a bit more bashful than before.
Eri, meanwhile, had taken the opportunity to step up beside you, clutching her newly boxed bear and watching you curiously. She tilted her head, her brows furrowing as she observed both you and Shinsou in the distance.
“Are you… emo? Like Shinsou?”
Mirio tensed beside you, his eyes going wide at the question. He shot you a nervous glance, as if expecting you to be offended. But instead, a laugh bubbled up from your chest, light and genuine, filling the space between you all.
“Emo? Nah, not quite,” you said, still chuckling. You ruffled Eri's hair lightly with the pen before pointing to the purple and blue streaks running through your own. “But I get why you might think that. I’m actually a pastel goth.”
Eri's face lit up with curiosity, her eyes widening as you untied your apron and did a playful little spin in front of her. “See?” You gestured to your outfit—ripped black jeans, a pretty lace pastel top in your favorite shade, and the rainbow chains that connected from your belt to your pockets that added a splash of color to your otherwise dark base palette.
“And these are my favorite!” You lifted one foot to show her your dip-dyed tennis shoes, a soft gradient of pastel shades fading into the white canvas. “I made these myself.”
Eri’s mouth formed a perfect “O” of awe, her small hands reaching out as if to touch your shoes. “Wow! How did you do that? They’re so pretty!”
You crouched down to her level, smiling as you explained the process. “Thank you, sweetie! It’s called tie-dye. You take plain shoes or clothes, tie them in different spots, and then dip them in different colors of dye. You can get all kinds of patterns that way! Want me to show you?”
Eri nodded enthusiastically, already imagining the possibilities.
Throughout the exchange, you didn’t notice the way Mirio was watching you. His eyes followed your every movement—how you spun effortlessly, the way you smiled so warmly at Eri, how you explained things with ease. His heart raced in his chest, he gulped, trying to shake off the strange, intense nervousness crawling up his spine.
Mirio couldn't understand why it suddenly felt so hard to breathe, why his palms were sweating. Every time he tried to speak, his mouth dried up even more, like a dessert made out of sandpaper topped with crunchy peanut butter.
He desperately wanted to look away, but his gaze was drawn to you, like a magnet pulling him in despite his mind screaming at him to just fade into the wall and disappear.
Still, Mirio couldn't help but stay, silently rooting himself to the spot, unable to tear his eyes from the scene unfolding in front of him. The way you connected with Eri, the easy laughter between you—it was like a warmth that had settled into the room, and though it made him flustered, he didn't want to leave.
You were still kneeling, explaining the basics of tie-dye with a smile, using your phone to show her how she could create something similar. Mirio stood stiffly, watching you with wide eyes, and though he was usually the picture of calm confidence, today was different.
His nerves kicking up in full force.
He wanted to speak, maybe even add something to the conversation, but his brain couldn’t form the words. It was as if the more he watched you interacting with Eri, the more his thoughts and nerves tangled themselves into sweaty knots.
Still, you kept the conversation flowing naturally, completely unaware of the inner turmoil Mirio was going through.
"It’s all about experimenting and having fun with colors,” you said, showing Eri how different patterns could form.
Eri nodded eagerly, fascinated by every word, while Mirio stood beside you, his heartbeat drumming in his ears. He wasn’t sure why he suddenly felt like a deer in headlights, but every time you smiled or laughed, it felt like someone turned the temperature in the room up a few degrees.
Mirio blinked, snapping back to reality just in time to notice Shinsou staring at him from outside the store.
Shinsou’s eyes held a mischievous glint, as he subtly gestured toward you with a small nod of his head. Mirio followed the motion, his mind catching up with the situation. His heart skipped when he realized Shinsou was egging him on, pushing him toward you in a way that was just as playful as it was serious.
Behind Shinsou, Fatgum and Kirishima were rolling up to join the growing group, both exchanging easy grins. Fatgum seemed relaxed, his large frame towering over the others, eating some mall pretzels, while Kirishima waved enthusiastically, clearly trying to disarm the chaos that was unfolding.
Meanwhile, Aizawa stood a little farther off, arms crossed, his usual weary expression in place as he muttered something to himself.
“Herding cats is easier than dealing with them,” Aizawa complained under his breath, side-eyeing Bakugou and Monoma, who were still bickering like two kids fighting over sub vs dub anime.
Izuku was caught in the middle trying to remedy the situation, still damp, as Monoma had his hands up in a dramatic display of innocence, while Bakugou looked like he was one second away from cold blooded murder.
Tamaki, ever the quiet one, had appeared in the background, looking completely lost in the flurry of activity. His wide, nervous eyes darted between his friends, trying to figure out what exactly was going on.
But when Shinsou leaned in and whispered something in his ear, a faint blush immediately crept up Tamaki's neck, turning his face a deep shade of red. He turned and gave Mirio a hesitant but determined “game face,” his sharp, elfin ears twitching slightly as he forced himself to give a thumbs-up of encouragement.
Mirio’s heart warmed at Tamaki’s attempt to cheer him on. A bright smile broke out on his face, a silent thank you to his friend. With Tamaki’s confidence-boosting thumbs-up and Shinsou’s teasing still hanging in the air, Mirio’s determination grew. He squared his shoulders and turned back to face you, taking a steadying breath.
But when he looked at you again, he nearly forgot how to breathe entirely.
Eri had somehow found her way into your arms, comfortably perched on your hip. Her small fingers were gently poking at your ear piercings, her wide, innocent eyes full of fascination as you let her touch the little hoops and studs. You were watching Mirio now, meeting his gaze with a calm smile that made something inside him turn to mush.
'Fuck.'
It was like all the noise in the background—the bickering between Bakugou and Monoma, the faint grumbling from Aizawa, even the shuffling footsteps of students in the distance—faded into nothing.
“Uh…” Mirio started, trying to find his voice, but his throat felt impossibly dry again.
“Are they gonna be okay?” You nodded slightly toward the commotion behind him, where Bakugou’s voice had risen several notches as he squared off with Monoma.
Just as you asked, both Bakugou and Monoma shouted something unintelligible, their voices overlapping in a chaotic burst of sound. You raised an eyebrow, clearly amused, but nodded as if nothing was amiss.
Mirio rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, his fingers brushing against the short hairs at the nape as he grinned awkwardly.
“Yeah...they’ll be fine.” He tried to sound confident, but his mind was a mess of thoughts he couldn’t quite grasp. He noticed, more than ever, how close you were standing, with Eri resting in your arms like she belonged there, her small hands still occasionally fiddling with your piercings.
The way you cradled her so naturally made something stir inside him—a mix of admiration and awe.
His heart started pounding again, the way it had before, but this time it was louder, more insistent. He couldn’t stop himself from noticing the little details about you. The way the light in the room softened around your face, casting a gentle glow on your skin. The hint of colors in your hair, the soft purples and blues catching in the air like a breath of wind.
And that smile—warm, inviting, and effortlessly beautiful. It made him feel like he was standing in the middle of a sunlit field on a perfect summer’s day, the kind where everything was alive and vibrant, and you were the brightest thing in it.
You weren’t just pretty. No, pretty was too small of a word to describe how you made him feel. You are beautiful.
'Breathtaking.'
Not just because of how you looked but because of your whole aura. It was like you radiated this light, this quiet strength, that made people around you feel safe and welcome. It was in the way you held Eri so gently, like she was the most precious thing in the world, and the way you spoke with such ease, your words always soft yet full of warmth.
Mirio could swear he saw the rest of his life in your eyes at that moment. He imagined laughter, quiet moments, and endless afternoons spent in the kind of peace only you seemed to carry with you. It hit him like a wave—this overwhelming sense of admiration and something more, something deeper, that he wasn’t sure how to name yet.
You tilted your head slightly, studying him for a moment. “You okay there, Mirio?”
Your voice broke through his swirling thoughts, pulling him back to the present. Mirio’s cheeks flared with heat, and he quickly rubbed the back of his neck again, this time laughing a little too loudly.
“Yeah! Yeah, I’m good!” He forced out the words, his smile still bright, though a bit shaky. “Just... you know, keeping an eye on those two,” he added, motioning again toward the argument that was now simmering behind him.
Kirishima had dropped his bag of hair dye in favor of holding onto Bakugou’s middle, whose hands were crackling faintly, while Izuku stood in front of Monoma, bandaged arms spread as Monoma looked like he was enjoying talking shit way too much.
Aizawa was laying into them for doing this again in public as Shinsou was holding up Tamaki who looked like he wanted to pass away from the onlookers and Fatgum is trying to divert the attention while also handing out fliers to his favorite restaurant in the mall.
“Yeah, they totally have it under control.”
You glanced in their direction before looking back at him, your lips curving into a smile that sent his heart racing all over again. “Seems like you've got your hands full.” You poke Eri in her belly and she squeals before holding onto you again.
Mirio chuckled, nodding in agreement. “You have no idea.”
Just then, Eri tugged gently on your sleeve, drawing both your attention. “Can I see the shoes again?” she asked, her voice small but eager.
You smiled down at her, giving her a little nod. “Of course.” You shifted her in your arms and then lifted one of your feet, showing her the soft colors of your tie-dye shoes again. She giggled, reaching out to touch them, her fascination with the colors and patterns not yet fading.
And as Mirio watched the scene unfold—the way you moved so effortlessly with Eri in your arms, the soft way you spoke, the ease with which you brought light into the room—he couldn’t help but think,
‘Yeah, I’m a goner.’
Mirio blinked, his mind momentarily lost in the haze of his own thoughts as he watched you. He hadn’t realized how much time had passed until he noticed your lips moving, the soft curve of them drawing his attention. For a second, all he could focus on was the way they shaped each word, the gentle rhythm of your voice fading into the background.
He didn’t register what you were saying—just that you were talking to him.
Then, as if shaken from a dream, Mirio blipped in surprise, his eyes widening as he coughed awkwardly. “Oh! Sorry! I—uh, what were you saying?” His voice cracked a little, his embarrassment clear as he rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous laugh. “I’m so sorry, I’m not sure what’s up with me today.”
You chuckled softly, a sound that made Mirio’s heart skip a beat. There was no judgment in your eyes, just warmth. “It’s okay,” you said, your tone teasing but kind. “Are you okay, though? You seem a little… distracted.”
He forced a smile, though his heart was still racing. “Yeah, I’m good now. Just—” Mirio stumbled over his words for a second before letting out a self-deprecating laugh. “I think I just spaced out for a bit.”
“Hmm,” you hummed, clearly unconvinced but playful. “Well, as long as you're not running on empty or something.” You flashed him a smile, and Mirio couldn’t help but return it, feeling the tension ease a little.
The two of you fell into an easy rhythm after that, making light conversation. You asked him how his day had been, and he asked you about yours. The small talk flowed effortlessly, and despite the occasional flustered moments on Mirio’s end, the interaction felt natural. You told him a funny story about one of your coworkers accidentally scanning a customer’s face instead of their item, and Mirio laughed, his usual cheerfulness slipping back into place.
He was starting to feel more like himself again, even as he struggled to keep his thoughts from wandering back to how much he liked your smile and how warm and good your voice is.
He could listen to you read the phone book for all he cares!
As Mirio lingered, his gaze darting between you and the door, he finally cleared his throat, summoning a bit of courage. "You know," he started, rubbing the back of his neck in that familiar, nervous way, "you’re, uh… pretty good with Eri. I bet you could make a career out of making people feel special."
You laughed softly, raising an eyebrow as you leaned against the counter.
"Oh yeah? Does that include you?"
Mirio froze for a moment, his heart skipping a beat before he quickly stumbled over his words. "W-Well, I mean… you’re already good at that too." His cheeks flushed pink, and he tried to recover by flashing you one of his signature, bright smiles. "I guess I’m just lucky to be on the receiving end."
You smirked, crossing your arms as you leaned in a little. "Is that so? Mm, I’ll have to make sure to treat you extra special next time, then."
Mirio’s face heated up further, but he managed to chuckle nervously, scratching his head. "I, uh… I wouldn’t mind that."
Suddenly, a small voice piped up from below. Eri was tugging at Mirio’s sleeve with a sweet smile on her face.
"Are you two flirting?" she asked innocently, her eyes wide and curious.
Both of you blinked in surprise, exchanging a quick glance before bursting into laughter. You crouched down to Eri’s level, gently ruffling her hair.
"Maybe a little," you teased, glancing up at Mirio, whose face had turned a deep shade of red.
Mirio bent down too, his hand resting on Eri’s shoulder. "Just a little," he admitted with a sheepish grin. "You caught us." Eri giggled, clearly pleased with herself. "I like it. It makes you both smile."
You and Mirio shared a look again, warmth spreading between you as her innocent words sank in. Smiling, you reached out and gave Eri a playful poke on the nose. "Well, we’ll just have to keep smiling for you then, won’t we?"
Eri perks up at that and looks at you with something you can’t place. But she leans into your face to close her eyes and hug you tight. You return the hug, your cheek against the crown of her head and let your warmth radiate into her.
Mirio’s heart swelled at the sight, his smile soft and sincere. "Yeah," he agreed, his voice a little quieter now.
"We will."
Outside the store, the once-heated argument between Bakugou and Monoma was finally winding down. Their voices, which had been loud and chaotic earlier, were now quieter, only a few muttered grumbles echoing in the distance. Aizawa reappeared shortly after, looking more exasperated than before but clearly relieved that the chaos had subsided.
He approached the counter, tired eyes flicking over to Eri, who was still happily holding the box containing her new teddy bear. “You all set, kid?” he asked, his voice softening ever so slightly when addressing her.
Eri nodded eagerly, hugging the box tighter. “He’s ready to go home!” she declared with a big smile.
You smiled at the sight, already scanning the item at the register as Aizawa fished around in his pocket for his wallet. As you rang up the bear, your fingers discreetly punched in a few extra numbers on the keypad.
Mirio, standing just off to the side, happened to glance over and caught the brief flash of numbers. He furrowed his brows slightly, noticing that you’d keyed in what looked like a discount code. Before he could say anything, you turned to him with a wink and a sly smile, your lips curling at the corners in the most mischievous way.
You handed the bag you placed the packages in to Aizawa with a casual grace, as if nothing unusual had just happened. “Here you go,” you said, leaning down slightly so Eri could see the bag. “Take good care of him.”
Aizawa gave you a nod, his expression as unreadable as ever, though there was a slight glint of gratitude in his eyes. “Thanks,” he muttered, barely loud enough to be heard. He turned to Eri. “Ready to go?”
Eri nodded enthusiastically, still cradling her new friend. But before they left, she looked up at you with wide eyes. “Thank you for helping me adopt him!” she chirped happily, her excitement contagious.
You smiled back, giving her a little wave. “Anytime, Eri. You and your new friend take care of each other, okay?” She nods and holds up the box to the frazzled group of boys before tugging Aizawa with her to go show them.
As Aizawa and Eri made their way out of the store, Mirio stood there for a second longer, watching the interaction with an odd mix of admiration and butterflies. You turned to him once more, your smile lingering, and for a brief moment, he swore the whole world had narrowed down to just the two of you.
“You like kids, huh?” Mirio finally asked, his voice light with amusement as he raised an eyebrow.
You gave him another wink, the same mischievous glint in your eyes. “What can I say? Perks of the job.”
“Mirio come on!”
“I’ll be right there!”
The blonde waves to you before racing out of the store (almost hitting his face in the glass doors too) before rejoining the group outside. The atmosphere was filled with a blend of excitement and warmth. Mirio stands off to the side, watching you as you got back to work, expertly tying your apron into a neat bow around your waist, your fingers deftly maneuvering the fabric.
There was a lightness in the air, a hint of magic lingering in the moment, and he couldn’t help but smile at the memory of Eri’s excitement.
“Hey, how did it go?” Shinsou nudged him playfully, a sly grin spreading across his face.
Mirio chuckled, scratching the back of his head, his cheeks a little pink. “Oh, you know, just normal stuff,” he replied, trying to play it cool despite the butterflies dancing in his stomach.
The boys—Izuku, Kirishima, Monoma, Bakugou, Tamaki, and Fatgum—quickly gathered around, their curiosity piqued. “Did Eri get her new friend?” Izuku asked eagerly, his eyes shining with enthusiasm.
Eri piped up, bouncing on her toes. “I did! His name is Lemi!” she declared proudly, clutching the plush bear to her chest. Mirio felt a rush of emotion at the name; it felt personal, like a little piece of her heart wrapped in the soft fabric.
“Lemi? That’s adorable!” Kirishima exclaimed, leaning closer to get a better look. But then Eri faltered, her expression shifting as she realized she hadn’t dressed him yet.
Just then, Aizawa approached, his expression mildly bemused. “You can come back another day to dress him,” he said, and Mirio, without thinking, immediately volunteered, “I’ll take her!”
Eri’s face lit up, and she eagerly opened the box for everyone to see, her excitement palpable. “Look!” she exclaimed, revealing Lemi nestled among other items.
Bakugou, who had been watching with a critical eye, leaned in. “What’s in the bag?” he asked, crossing his arms with a hint of suspicion.
Aizawa paused, confusion flickering across his face before he reached into the bag and pulled out what looked like a small collection of outfits. The group gathered closer as he spread the items out on a nearby table in the food court, their eyes widening in amazement.
“Are those…?” Kirishima began, his voice trailing off as they all realized the outfits were mini versions of their hero costumes.
Mirio felt his heart swell with pride and warmth. He glanced at Eri, who was practically glowing with joy, her eyes shining like stars. When she spotted Mirio’s hero costume tucked inside, she squealed in delight.
“Look! It’s just like yours!”
With an infectious smile, she hugged him tightly, and in that moment, Lemi echoed a familiar phrase: “You’re so cool!” Her joyous squeak made everyone burst into laughter, and as she dropped the bear in surprise, Bakugou lunged forward, catching it just in time.
“Careful!” Bakugou grunted, a mix of irritation and fondness in his voice. The group shared a knowing look, the camaraderie palpable.
Izuku gently took the bear from Bakugou and squeezed its tummy. “Wow, it talks!” he exclaimed, his eyes wide with amazement. Lemi chimed in again, this time explaining that the voice must have come with the bear.
Mirio’s heart raced as he pieced it all together, realizing you must have been the one holding the voice box when he first approached Eri. A warm smile spread across his face at the thought of you crafting this magical experience for her.
Just then, Aizawa pulled out a note from his pocket and handed it to Mirio. There was a hint of a smile on his usually stoic face. “This is for you,” he said, his tone teasing yet encouraging.
Mirio took the note, his breath hitching slightly as he swore he could feel the warmth from your fingertips  had left for him.
As the teasing continued, Mirio felt a wave of nervousness wash over him, the excitement now mixed with anxiety. The note felt heavier in his hands, and he was unsure how to handle the sudden attention. With a quick glance at Tamaki, he decided to pass the note to him instead, hoping his friend might read it without the weight of all their curious eyes on him.
Tamaki accepted the note with a shaky hand, his face a mix of confusion and surprise. He cleared his throat softly before unfolding it, his cheeks already turning a deep shade of red. As he read, the whispers and laughter around them faded, all eyes drawn to him.
Mirio watched anxiously as Tamaki’s eyes widened, a hint of disbelief crossing his features. “U-um…” he stammered, before glancing back at Mirio, his voice barely above a whisper. “S-Sorry,” he managed to say, quickly handing the note back with a beet-red face.
“What does it say?” Izuku urged, leaning in closer, curiosity shining in his eyes.
Tamaki, flustered, mumbled, “It’s… um… really nice.”
Mirio took the note back, heart pounding in his chest. He took a deep breath and began to read aloud:
“Hey! :D Mirio, right? Thanks for being so wonderful today! I really enjoyed spending time with you and Eri. You’ve got a really cute smile! If you’re not seeing anyone, let's hang out soon! If you ever want to chat or need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d love to hook Lemi up again. ;3
Looking forward to seeing you and your Eri<33! — Your local Pastel Goth
x-678-999-8212
It was a simple thank you, but at the bottom, your number was scrawled neatly, making his heart leap.
Eri watched him, her eyes sparkling with excitement. “What does it say?” she asked, her tiny voice full of curiosity.
“It’s a note from the lady,” he said, unable to hide the grin on his face. “She said we can plan more fun days together.”
The boys exchanged glances, a mix of surprise and teasing delight washing over their expressions. Eri squealed with excitement, her little hands clapping. “She thinks you’re wonderful!” she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy.
“Look at Mirio, all blushing!” Monoma laughed, while Bakugou rolled his eyes but couldn’t help a smirk.
Mirio’s heart raced, warmth creeping into his cheeks as he tried to play it cool. “It’s just a note,” he stammered, but the grin on his face betrayed his feigned nonchalance.
“Just a note? Dude, that’s definitely more than just a note!” Kirishima chimed in, clapping him on the back with enthusiasm.
Tamaki, still blushing, looked down at his feet, mumbling, “I-I think she likes you…”
As the teasing continued, Mirio couldn’t help but feel a sense of happiness blooming inside him. The nervousness ebbed away, replaced by excitement at the thought of seeing you again. Eri’s bubbly enthusiasm and the camaraderie of his friends made it all feel so much brighter, like everything was finally falling into place.
Bakugou rolled his eyes but couldn’t suppress a smirk. “You’re such a dork,” he teased, earning a playful shove from Kirishima.
Fatgum chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. “You boys better watch out. Mirio’s got a secret weapon now,” he said, gesturing to the note with a grin.
As the playful banter continued, Mirio felt a swell of happiness. The bond he was forming with you, Eri, and the rest of the group felt like a bright beacon in his life. He couldn’t wait for the next mall adventure, knowing that you would be a part of it.
“Let’s get home before your classmates burn the dorms down.”

As the day wound down and the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a soft glow through the window of Aizawa’s living room, Mirio found a cozy spot on the couch with Eri nestled against him. The warmth of the moment wrapped around them like a comforting blanket, Eri’s small fingers clutching the note you’d written, her eyelids growing heavy as sleep threatened to claim her.
Mirio, still buzzing from the day’s events, felt the soft rhythm of Eri’s breath against him, her little body rising and falling in a peaceful slumber. He couldn’t help but smile, his heart swelling with affection for the girl who had quickly become so dear to him. The note rested on his chest, a tangible reminder of you and the promise of more moments to come.
Just then, Shinsou, lounging nearby, couldn’t resist the urge to capture the scene. He quietly pulled out his phone, careful not to disturb the tranquil atmosphere. The sight of Mirio, looking blissfully content with Eri curled up beside him, was too precious to pass up. With a mischievous grin, he snapped a quick picture, the soft glow of the screen illuminating his face for just a moment.
“Adorable,” Shinsou whispered to himself, stifling a chuckle as he looked at the picture. Mirio stirred slightly but didn’t wake, a gentle smile still gracing his features. The room was filled with a sense of warmth and safety, the bond between them solidifying in the simplicity of the moment.
As Mirio drifted further away, he felt a sense of contentment wash over him. It was a day well spent, and he couldn’t help but look forward to what tomorrow would bring for them all.
🌞 😄 🧱 👊🌞 😄 🧱 👊🌞 😄 🧱 👊
The morning sun filtered through the kitchen window, casting a warm glow over the breakfast table where Eri, Mirio, and Shinsou were happily digging into a stack of fluffy pancakes. Eri’s eyes sparkled with delight as she drizzled syrup over her stack, the sweet smell wafting through the air.
As they chatted and giggled, the sound of shuffling feet approached. Aizawa emerged from his room, tousled hair and sleepy eyes, just as Yamada bustled in, carrying a plate piled high with golden pancakes.
“Good morning, Shouta!” he called cheerfully, setting the plate down in front of him.
“Did everyone sleep well?” Aizawa asked, his voice still raspy from sleep as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
Eri beamed up at him, her cheeks stuffed with pancakes. “I slept great! And guess what, Mr. Aizawa? Mirio called that lady from the store last night to set up a playdate at the park today! We’re going to hang out together!”
Mirio’s face instantly turned crimson, his cheeks matching the color of a ripe tomato as he fumbled with his fork. “I, uh... it’s not like that!” he stammered, his embarrassment palpable. Shinsou, sitting across from him, stifled a laugh behind his hand, a smirk spreading across his face as he watched Mirio squirm.
Aizawa raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “Just be safe, you two. And remember to keep an eye on Eri,” he added, glancing pointedly at Mirio, who was still blushing fiercely.
“Of course!” Eri chirped, her excitement infectious. Mirio, despite his flushed face, couldn’t help but feel a rush of joy at the thought of seeing you again. He grinned, the anticipation bubbling within him as he tried to play it cool.
“Yeah, we’ll have a great time!”
Meanwhile, on your end, you were sprawled across your bed, heart still racing from the phone call. Your face was buried in your pillow as you squealed, muffling the sound of your excitement. He really called me! He really called me! you thought, replaying every detail in your mind, savoring it like your favorite song.
You remembered the moment his number flashed on your phone screen. Not knowing who it was, you picked up with a casual, "Hello?" but inside you were buzzing with nerves, especially when you heard his voice crack a little as he started talking.
"H-Hey! It's Mirio... I hope I'm not calling too late," he said, his voice warm but tinged with a kind of awkwardness that made him even more endearing. You could practically see him rubbing the back of his neck, just like when he’d been standing in the store earlier.
"No, you're fine!" you replied, a smile spreading across your face as you pressed the phone tighter to your ear. You had just finished working around midnight before heading home to eat a grilled cheese and shower before climbing into your black strawberry print sheets.
Did your bones ache? 100% absolutely, no doubt about it. But you really liked the afflictions of his voice and it beats the boyfriend asmr you listen to sometimes to fall asleep.
"What’s up?"
There was a pause, and you could hear him exhale, almost like he was gathering courage. "I, uh... Eri wanted to go to the park tomorrow, and I thought maybe... if you’re not busy, you could... join us? If you want. No pressure! I mean, it’s just a park. A public place. With, you know, swings and stuff... so, uh..."
You giggled softly, letting him off the hook. "A public place, huh? That sounds very safe. I'd love to come along."
He sighed in relief, but then there was a moment of silence before he awkwardly admitted, "I... actually realized I never got your name. Kinda... embarrassing, huh?"
You grinned, teasing him just a little, "Oh, so you called me without even knowing my name? Bold move, Mirio."
He chuckled nervously. "Y-yeah, I guess so! I just... I couldn’t stop thinking about how nice it was talking to you today. You’re, like, really easy to talk to. And, uh..." He hesitated again, and you could feel the shift in his tone, his vulnerability coming through.
"You’re really pretty, too. That’s... part of it. You’ve got this energy, you know? It’s just... it feels good to be around you. So I figured I’d take a chance."
Your heart skipped a beat at his words, and you felt a wave of warmth spread through you. You teased him again, just lightly. "Oh really? Well, you’re not too bad yourself. I’ve gotta say, you did look pretty good today with the sun shining over you like that."
'I wanted to bite your lips when you smiled.'
There was a bashful laugh on the other end of the line. "You think so? I felt so nervous talking to you, I thought I might trip over my own words."
"Well, you did great," you replied softly, feeling your own nerves start to settle. Talking to him was surprisingly easy, despite how flustered you both were.
You thought back to the way he had smiled earlier, how his eyes crinkled in the most charming way when he looked down at Eri, and how, for a moment, you'd feel a little flutter of nerves yourself. Thank God for Eri being there to smooth over the tension. You found yourself wishing you had asked him for a hug before he left.
'No,no,no, that would be weird! AGH!'
As you lay there now, hugging your pillow, your mind wandered back to how close he’d stood to you, and that same flutter of nerves returned. You dropped the pillow from your face and sat up, grinning like a kid. Your heart was still racing, but this time it was all excitement.
“Can’t wait,” you whispered to yourself, the smile lingering on your lips as you hopped out of bed to get ready for tomorrow’s ‘play date’—if that’s what you could even call it.
You had a gut feeling it would be more than just that.~

°❀.ೃ࿔Sunshine boy °❀.ೃ࿔
synopsis: the optimist always gets to the pessimistic
this drabble took so long… i haven’t the faintest idea why but i kept on having to come back to it. Also of course hawks is in it because this man will slip into here all the time.
Tumblr media
If someone had told you years ago that you’d end up working closely with Sir Nighteye, you would’ve laughed in their face. It wasn’t that you didn’t respect him, he was a brilliant tactician, a respected pro hero, and had an impeccable track record. But you? You were the type to fight with instinct, to make decisions on the ball, to trust in your power and your gut rather than detailed predictions and meticulous planning….So why the hell were you here, standing across from the man himself in his office, flipping through yet another thick case file while he watched you with that unreadable expression?
“You’re still not much of a strategist,” Nighteye remarked, adjusting his glasses as he scanned the aftermath report of your latest joint mission.
You smirked, leaning back in your chair. “And you’re still not much of a field agent.”
He sighed. “That’s exactly why this partnership works.”
/////////
“YEAHHH! IT’S LUMINE!  Alright, listeners, it’s time for another Pro Hero Spotlight! And today, we’re talkin’ about someone who SHINES!! LITERALLY!
!!!!
Name: Lumine!
Quirk: Photon!
!!!!!
“This top ten hero is all about brightening it up, baby! She can absorb and manipulate photons to move at the speed ofwell, light! That means energy blasts, insane reflexes, and even phasing through attacks when she shifts into pure energy! How cool is that?!”
//////
The streets were in chaos. Smoke curled into the air, glass crunched underfoot, and a massive villain with reinforced armor was tearing through the city like a wrecking ball.
Sir Nighteye stood in a secluded location watching every movement below with razor sharp focus. And then
FWOOOOSH!
A streak of golden light SHOT through the sky, illuminating the battlefield in a flash before re forming into Y/n! You landed in front of the villain, body still pulsing with residual light. “You’re making a mess,” you quipped, cracking your knuckles. “How about we clean it up?”
The villain roared, lunging at you. But before he could land a hit “DODGE! NOW!” Nighteye’s voice cut through your earpiece. You didn’t hesitate. Your body shimmered as you phased into photons, the villain’s massive fist passing right through you. Reforming at his side, you unleashed a concentrated beam of energy, sending him skidding back.
“Shut up, i’m the one doing the fighting”
“Four seconds,” Nighteye said through the comm completely ignoring your statement. “His armor is weakest at the joints. Hit the right knee now.”
You grinned. “Got it.” just like that, you MOVED lightning fast, reappearing just in time to drive a photon charged kick straight into the villain’s knee joint. The armor CRACKED, and the villain staggered. “this is so lame, why does this feel so boring” The villain reeled back, dazed, and You exhaled, rolling your shoulders. “Well, as fuuuuun as that was, we still have to find the missing cargo.” Nighteye adjusted his glasses. “Hmph. ” You groaned. “ugh this is such a pain”
——-
Below, the warehouse bustled with activity villains moving in and out, unloading crates from a truck into the building. Whatever they were smuggling, it wasn’t legal, and it was your job to put a stop to it.
“This should be a straightforward operation,” Nighteye murmured, sharp eyes calculating every movement below. “We take out the guards, secure the cargo, and apprehend the ringleader before they realize what’s happening.”
You nodded, scanning the scene. “And what about the new guy you were telling me about?”
“He’ll be assisting,” Nighteye replied, his voice as unreadable as ever.
Right on cue, the rooftop door creaked open behind you. “Sorry for the wait!” The voice was bright, confident, and unmistakably full of energy. Turning, you saw a broad shouldered blonde stepping onto the roof, adjusting his gloves. Even through his mask, his beaming smile was obvious.
Mirio Togata.
Even if you hadn’t known his name, you would’ve recognized him by reputation one of U.A.’s most promising students, currently interning under Nighteye. But what caught you off guard was his presence. He wasn’t just strong; he radiated warmth, like the human embodiment of sunshine. “Lumine, right?” he asked, walking up to you with an easy confidence. “Sir’s told me a lot about you! It’s really cool to finally meet you.”
You raised an eyebrow, glancing at Nighteye. “Didn’t know you were such a fan of my work, Sir.”
Nighteye adjusted his glasses. “I made a passing mention of you. He was relentless in asking for details.” Mirio laughed, rubbing the back of his head. “Guilty! But can you blame me? You’re a top pro! It’s not every day I get to work with someone like you.”
You smirked. “are you kissing ass your way to the top?.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it!” he grinned.
Nighteye cleared his throat. “Lumine, you’ll take the east entrance. I’ll enter from the west. lemillion, infiltrate the main warehouse and secure the interior. Stay alert for reinforcements.”
“Yes, Sir!” Mirio saluted, then turned to you. “Stay safe out there!” You gave him a nod before vanishing into a stream of light, dashing toward your position.
———
The mission went smoothly at first. You dismantled the outer guards with ease, your photon based quirk making it simple to blind and disarm them. Inside, Mirio weaved through walls and floors, taking down enemies before they could react. Nighteye, as always, operated with precision, his foresight ensuring every move was calculated. Then, as you were securing the last of the cargo, a villain lunged at you from the shadows.
You barely had time to react before an arm wrapped around your waist and yanked you back just as a blade slashed through the air where you had been standing. A blur of blue and gold moved past you as Mirio landed between you and the villain, his usual cheer replaced by sharp focus.
“Whoa, that was close!” he said, keeping an easy stance but never taking his eyes off the attacker.
You let out a breath. “Did you just—”
“Pull you out of danger? Yup!” he grinned over his shoulder. “Figured you wouldn’t mind.”
Before you could respond, the villain lunged again. Mirio immediately let himself phase, the blade passing through his chest like mist. The attacker barely had time to register what had happened before Mirio resolidified behind him, delivering a precise, forceful punch that sent the villain sprawling.
You crossed your arms, smirking. “Not bad, lemillion.”
“Thanks! But, uh, if I could phase other people, I probably would’ve just pulled you underground instead of doing it the old fashioned way.” He chuckled, rubbing the back of his head.
“I’m glad you can’t,” you shot back. “I’d rather not find out what being buried alive feels like.”
Mirio laughed. “Fair point!”
You both turned as Nighteye approached, his usual unreadable expression in place. “I assume everything is under control?”
“All good!” Mirio said with a thumbs up. “Teamwork makes the dream work!”
You shook your head, amused. “Not a bad first mission together.”
Mirio beamed. “Hopefully the first of many!” as you’d later find out, it was.
—-
You learnt very fast that it was not just a one time thing. He came barrelling into the next big mission that you were working on. As the battle was over, the villains secured, and the dust had finally settled. The tension that had filled the air minutes ago had been replaced by the steady hum of cleanup efforts. You stood off to the side, rolling your shoulder as you surveyed the scene. Another mission completed. Another long night.
“Lumine!”
The familiar voice cut through the chaos, warm and unmistakably bright.
You turned just in time to see Mirio jogging toward you, weaving effortlessly through the debris and uniformed officers. His blue cape fluttered behind him, and despite the scuffs on his costume and the streaks of dust across his face, his grin was as radiant as ever.
He skidded to a stop just in front of you, hands on his hips as he looked you over. “You okay?”
You smirked. “I should be asking you that. Pretty sure you took on half the villains yourself.”
Mirio laughed, but there was a softness in his gaze that hadn’t been there the last time you’d worked together. “Eh, nothing I can’t handle. You, though, you were amazing out there.”
You rolled your eyes. “You always a charmer?”
“Because it’s always true.” He grinned, leaning forward just slightly, voice dropping to something almost conspiratorial. “You know, I’ve seen a lot of pro heroes in action, but you? You’re on another level.” Your smirk wavered for half a second, caught off guard by the sincerity in his voice. He wasn’t teasing or joking he meant it. Mirio, for all his strength and confidence, never acted like he was above admiration. He gave it freely, effortlessly, like it was second nature.
“…Not bad yourself, Togata.” You nudged his arm, trying to shake off the warmth creeping into your chest.
His eyes lit up. “togata? I haven’t given you my name yet, second meeting and is this a good thing or a bad thing?”
“oh my.” Warmth spread from your face. Respect was a huge thing in your book. But you’d be lying to yourself if his name didn’t reply in your head after your last encounter. you crossed your arms. “i’m so sorry lemilion! we haven’t even left the battlefield and you don’t even know me-”
Mirio’s laughter was bright, like sunlight breaking through the remnants of the night. “Don’t worry about it!! just a silly little slip”
Before you could answer, Nighteye approached, his usual composed expression in place as he took in the two of you. “You did well today,” he said simply.
your daze slightly disappears looking up to him “High praise, coming from you.”
Nighteye adjusted his glasses. “Don’t get used to it.”
Mirio chuckled, nudging your shoulder lightly. “Sir’s just being modest. We both know he’s impressed.” Nighteye sighed but didn’t argue, which only made Mirio’s grin widen.
You shook your head, glancing at Mirio. “i’m starting to think in the inside you’re a bright shiny ball puppies and rainbows in there” “you surround yourself with smiley blondes and people with a very bright outfits.
Nighteye’s expression barely flickered, but you swore you saw the tiniest twitch of his eye at your words. You smirked, pressing your advantage.
“I mean, really,” you continued, crossing your arms. “Mirio? All Might? Bubble Girl? Myself? What is it with you and people who radiate pure sunshine? Do you just absorb their energy like some kind of grumpy solar panel?”
Mirio snorted, clearly trying to hold back laughter, while Bubble Girl who had just arrived on the scene blinked in confusion. Nighteye sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose as if you were giving him a migraine.
“I surround myself with competent heroes,” he corrected, but there was a hint of exasperation in his tone.
You raised an eyebrow. “Right, and it just so happens that all those ‘competent heroes’ have the same golden retriever energy? Be honest, do you break out in hives when you’re around pessimistic people?”
Mirio was straight up laughing now, arms crossed over his chest as he watched the exchange like it was the best thing he’d seen all night.
Nighteye merely adjusted his glasses again, as if recalibrating his patience. “Y/n,” he said evenly, “perhaps you should spend less time making baseless observations and more time debriefing the mission.”
“Oh, so you’re avoiding the question? Interesting.” You tilted your head. “That means I’m right.”
He gave you a long, flat stare before turning on his heel and walking away. You caught Mirio covering his mouth, trying and failing to stifle his amusement.
“You’re awful,” he whispered between chuckles.
You grinned. “He makes it too easy.”
——-
The hum of fluorescent lights buzzed softly overhead as you leaned against one of the agency’s desks, arms crossed, watching Mirio dig through a cabinet with the focus of someone searching for the meaning of life. His uniform was slightly rumpled from the day, his tie loosened, the top button undone. Without his hero costume without the grand, larger than life energy he carried in battle he looked more like a regular student, just a little tired, a little more human. But still, somehow, undeniably bright.
“You lose something, Togata?” you asked, voice dry as ever.
Mirio, undeterred by your deadpan tone, straightened with a triumphant grin, holding up a can of juice like it was a legendary artifact. “Victory!” he declared before cracking it open with an exaggerated flourish.
You raised an eyebrow. “That felt high stress for such little reason.”
“Hey, sometimes it’s the little things,” he said, taking a sip. He sighed contentedly, as if this really was the highlight of his day. Then, as if just noticing, he tilted his head at you, curiosity flickering in his gaze. “You’re here a lot, huh?”
You shrugged. “Guess so.”
Mirio hummed thoughtfully, tapping a finger against the can. “Shouldn’t you be at your own agency? Not that I’m complaining, it’s always nice to see you.”
There was something in the way he said it casual but genuine, like he meant it. Like HE liked having you around. It threw you off for just a second.
You smirked, shaking off the feeling. “Oh, I got kicked out.”
Mirio blinked, his whole body pausing mid sip. “…Wait, really?”
“Yeah.” You sighed dramatically, crossing your arms. “Turns out, if you glare at one too many people, they start thinking you ‘disrupt workplace morale.’”
For a second, his face flickered with concern, his brows furrowing just slightly. But then you saw it the slight twitch at the corner of his mouth, the telltale sign that he was just now getting the message. there it was. His laughter erupted, full and unrestrained. “No way! You had me for a second!”
You grinned. “I have my moments.”
Mirio shook his head, still chuckling. “Man, you’re something else.”
“I try.”
Silence settled between you, but it wasn’t awkward just a lull, comfortable and easy. Mirio leaned against the desk beside you, close enough that you could feel the warmth radiating off of him. He always carried this… presence. Like standing next to him meant standing in a patch of sunlight. It was disarming.
Mirio, apparently, wasn’t one for silence. “So, if you’re not actually exiled from your agency, why do you spend so much time here?”
You hesitated for a beat before answering. “…I guess it’s not bad here.” You nodded toward the space around you. “Nighteye’s strict, but I can respect him. The work is solid. And the company’s… not terrible.”
Mirio’s lips curled into a playful grin. “Wow, your compliments feel kinda lackluster.”
“Hush now,” you said smoothly. “Don’t tell me you’re tired of me being here.”
“Never!” His response was immediate, like he’d been waiting for you to ask. His smile softened a little. “Actually, I think it’s nice. I was gonna say you’re kinda like an honorary member at this point. But, y’know…” He glanced at you, an easy warmth in his gaze. “That makes it sound like we don’t want you here when we do.”
Something about the way he said it lighthearted, but undeniably sincere made you pause.
“…Huh,” you said, for lack of anything better.
Mirio leaned in a little, grinning. “Huh?” he mimicked playfully.
You rolled your eyes. “I’m just not used to people being that direct, is all.”
He hummed thoughtfully. “That direct, or that nice?”
You gave him a look, but he just smiled wider, like he knew he had a point.
“You’re not bad company either, y’know,” he said after a moment, his voice a little softer now, like he was just saying it to you and not to the room. “I mean, you’re cool, and you’re strong, but you’re also… kinda funny. Even when you don’t mean to be.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Are you saying I’m accidentally entertaining?”
“I’m saying you’re interesting,” he said easily. “And that I’d rather have you around than not.”
Your chest tightened, just slightly. It wasn’t often that people just… said things like that. At least, not to you.
Mirio, as if sensing he might’ve thrown you off, nudged your shoulder. “Guess I’ll just have to stick around more,” he said, grinning again. “Y’know, in case you get actually exiled one day.”
For once, you didn’t have a sharp reply. You just shook your head, looking away to hide the small, involuntary twitch at the corner of your mouth. “…Yeah, yeah. We’ll see.”
His laughter was softer this time, but the way he looked at you like he genuinely wanted to know you, like he already considered you a friend made something in you settle.
———
The walk to U.A. was calm, the late morning sun casting a warm glow over the city as you and Hawks strolled along the familiar path. The school loomed in the distance, its towering gates just visible beyond the trees lining the sidewalk.
After a moment of quiet, you sighed. “You know… I feel like we’re getting the short end of the stick here.”
Hawks glanced at you, amusement flickering in his golden eyes. “Oh? How so?”
You gestured vaguely ahead. “Nezu gets free labor, the kids get their little motivational speeches, and what do we get? A pat on the back?”
Hawks let out a light chuckle, his wings shifting slightly. “You mean to tell me the honor of inspiring the next generation isn’t enough?”
You gave him a dry look. “I’m sure they’ll be fine without our wisdom.”
He hummed thoughtfully. “Maybe, but a little guidance never hurts.”
You exhaled, watching as a breeze rustled through the trees. “I guess.”
A comfortable silence stretched between you as you walked, the steady rhythm of your footsteps filling the space.
“At least we get a good meal out of it,” Hawks remarked after a moment, stretching his arms behind his head.
“If Lunch Rush is cooking, sure,” you said. “If not, I’m leaving early.”
He laughed. “I respect the standards.”
You smirked. “You should. I refuse to sit through a whole day of talking if the food isn’t worth it.”
Hawks tilted his head, as if considering something. “Y’know… spending the day at U.A. like this almost feels nostalgic.”
You glanced at him. “You think you would’ve been good in school?”
“Not really,” he admitted. “But sometimes I with for the simplicity of it. Having a schedule, training, learning new things every day.”
You hummed in agreement. “Yeah. It was… different.”
“Different’s a good word for it,” he mused. “We didn’t have a normal school experience, but it had its moments.”
You nodded, a small, knowing smile forming. “Like sneaking out past curfew?”
“Or convincing commission teachers we were just ‘exploring alternative training methods,’” he added, smirking.
You chuckled. “We got away with too much.”
“Eh,” Hawks said with a shrug. “Guess they figured we’d be fine in the end.”
You didn’t respond right away, but there was an understanding in the quiet between you. The path ahead felt familiar, but the two of you had changed since your own school days.
Hawks nudged your arm lightly. “Alright, be honest, what kind of student do you think is gonna annoy you the most?”
You sighed. “The overly eager one. From what i’m hearing about 1A i feel i need a Xanax. The one with too much energy, too many questions, and zero sense of personal space.”
He chuckled. “Yeah, there’s always one of those.”
“If we get stuck with a kid who talks back, you’re handling them,” you added.
“Deal,” he said easily. “As long as you grab me some extra food on the way out.”
You shook your head, amused. “Unbelievable.”
And with that, the two of you stepped inside, ready to face whatever the day had in store. It wasn’t often that you found yourself back here not as a guest, anyway. But after Nezu had oh so politely requested (read: roped) you and Hawks into speaking to the students about what it was like to become a pro hero so young, you hadn’t exactly had a choice. It made sense, you supposed. You and Hawks were among the youngest top ranking heroes, and Nezu likely figured your experiences would be valuable to the next generation.
Walking through the towering gates, you let out a quiet sigh. “Alright, if we leave now what consequences would we really have?”
Beside you, Hawks stretched, wings ruffling slightly. “Nezu said guest speakers. I heard free food.”
You gave him a flat look. “We’re not getting paid for this.”
He grinned. “Yeah, but we are getting exposure. And what’s better than exposure?”
You groaned. “Literally anything else.”
Before Hawks could tease you more, the school doors swung open, and there stood Nezu, looking far too pleased with himself. “Ah! Lumine, Hawks! Welcome to U.A.!”
Hawks gave a lazy salute. “Hey, little boss.”
Nezu chuckled. “Now, now, Hawks, I prefer ‘Principal.’”
You crossed your arms. “I prefer to not be scammed into free labor.”
Nezu simply smiled, ever unbothered. “Oh, but this is a wonderful opportunity! You’ll be inspiring the next generation!”
Hawks and you exchanged a knowing glance before he sighed dramatically. “Oh, what an honor.”
Nezu, unfazed, continued, “Before your talk, I thought it would be nice for you to get a tour of the school. And I’ve arranged for some of our top students to lead it.”
Before you could respond, a familiar voice rang out “Lumine!”
You turned to see Mirio, his wide grin already on display as he jogged up to you. “Yo! You finally came to visit us!”
You grinned back, stepping forward to meet him. Before you could say anything, he pulled you into a hug, squeezing you tightly. “It’s been too long! You’re looking good out here, away from the chaos of missions!”
You laughed, half surprised by the bear hug. “Calm down, Mirio. I’m just here for a quick talk.”
Hawks grinned. “Careful, Mirio she’s not used to being this popular.”
You elbowed Hawks lightly, but Mirio only laughed, undeterred. “It’s just cool! We usually only work together in high-stakes situations. Now you’re here!”
Hawks raised an eyebrow, walking over with a smirk. “Should we be worried that you’re this excited to see her? I feel like I’m being replaced.”
Mirio stepped back and smiled at you, his enthusiasm unwavering. “Of course not! I’m just happy to see my friend.” He then glanced at Hawks, before pointing at him playfully. “And definitely not because of him.”
You rolled your eyes, nudging Hawks. “Look at that, he’s already here to steal my spotlight.”
Mirio laughed, pulling away just as Neijire bounded over, her bright energy almost contagious. “Lumine!” She looked at you with wide eyes, bouncing on the balls of her feet. “You’re even more amazing than I thought! And you’re here with Hawks!”
“Yep, unfortunately,” you said dryly, though a small smile tugged at your lips.
Nejire suddenly appeared beside him, practically vibrating with excitement. “Oh wow, you and Hawks are so close, right? You work together all the time, and you both got into the Top 10 super young! Wait, wait…. are you dating?”
Tamaki, standing slightly behind them, visibly tensed.
You and Hawks exchanged a glance, the kind that spelled trouble. “Oh, absolutely,” you said smoothly, nodding.
Hawks let out a dramatic sigh, draping an arm around your shoulders. “Nejire, you caught us. Our secret romance, exposed.”
You shook your head. “We had a plan, too. Big reveal, dramatic photoshoot, matching hero costumes…”
“Matching hero costumes?” Hawks repeated, amused.
You shrugged. “Might as well commit to the bit.”
Nejire gasped, eyes sparkling. “Oh my gosh, really?! That’s so cute!” Tamaki looked like he wanted to teleport away.
“No, they’re not.”
You and Hawks immediately stopped, mid tease, and turned to Mirio.
Hawks raised an eyebrow. “Wow. That was fast.”
You and Hawks immediately shared a look, both of you smirking as you were about to go on your teasing tangent again.
“Oh, Neijire, sweetie,” Hawks started, voice oozing with sarcasm. “If you knew the kind of annoying this one brings into my life—”
“annoying ?” You cut in, laughing. “You are the annoying one, bird brain.”
“I’m just saying,” Hawks said, dramatically holding a hand to his chest, “that being with you is like being surrounded by a storm of bad decisions and caffeine.”
You grinned. “And don’t forget the occasional midnight chicken emotional breakdown because you can’t stop talking.”
Neijire’s face lit up with curiosity. “Wait, but are you sure?” She leaned toward you both, wide eyed. “You guys aren’t a thing? You’re so close like, a sibling vibe. But siblings wouldn’t…”
“You’re making this way worse than it is,” you interrupted, barely containing your laughter.
Hawks shot you a look, his own grin widening. “I’d like to see you try to keep up with all of her sass. Wouldn’t recommend it.”
Just as you and Hawks were about to double down on the teasing, Mirio suddenly interjected. “Nope! They aren’t dating.” Both of you stopped in your tracks, blinking. You stared at Mirio for a moment, then looked at Hawks.
“Uh… okay,” you said, a little thrown off by how fast Mirio had spoken.
“Yeah, we’re not,” Hawks confirmed, but he raised an eyebrow, glancing at Mirio.
Mirio, still peppy, shook his head. “I mean, you could be dating, but you’re not. You two are way more like siblings. Plus, Hawks would never stop bragging about it if it were true.”
Hawks gasped. “The little nugget is fighting back!”
You smirked. “No, no, he’s right. You would be unbearable.”
Mirio grinned. “Exactly! So, no, you’re not dating.”
Neijire smirked, her eyes practically sparkling with mischief. “Ohhh, Mirio, I see. You’re relieved, huh?”
Mirio looked momentarily flustered. “What? No, I—I’m just making sure everyone knows the truth!”
Neijire’s smile grew wider as she wagged her finger at him. “So, you like older women, then?” she teased, glancing between the two of you.
Tamaki, who had been standing quietly off to the side, suddenly spoke up, his face flushed. “Wait—no, no! That’s not what—” He nervously glanced at you. “I mean, you’re not old… right?”
You raised an eyebrow, mildly amused. “Tamaki, I’m only twenty. I think I’m safe from the ‘older woman’ label for now.”
Neijire blinked, realizing her slip-up. “Ah! Right! Sorry! I just got carried away…” She quickly backpedaled, practically bubbling with apologies.
Meanwhile, Mirio, still the image of cheerfulness, blinked in surprise. “Huh?”
Nejire leaned in eagerly to mario’s ear. “Well? Do yoooou? Do you like older women?”
For the first time, Mirio hesitated, opening and closing his mouth before laughing sheepishly. “That’s… not really the point here.”
Hawks lost it. He practically collapsed onto Mirio’s shoulder, wheezing. “Oh my god”
You smirked. “So, Mirio, should I be expecting a confession letter soon, or do you need someone middle aged…?”
Mirio let out a goodnatured chuckle. “Nope! But hey, if you do get one, I promise I’ll deliver it personally.”
Nejire mouth dropped all the way to the center of the earth. “PAUSE WHAT”
Hawks sighed trying to segue. “I’m stuck with her as my honorary sibling instead.” You shook your heads in ignorance to the bubbly blue haired girl.
“And I’m stuck with him making chicken nugget jokes at my expense,” you added.
Mirio laughed. “Chicken nugget jokes?”
Hawks smirked. “The students are like chicken nuggets tiny, but still good.”
You rolled your eyes. “Yeah, yeah. U.A.’s finest. A box of premium nuggets.”
Mirio grinned. “Well, I hope we’re at least the good kind.”
Hawks clapped a hand on his shoulder. “Don’t worry, buddy. You’re definitely a top tier nugget.”
Nejire giggled, Tamaki sighed in relief, and Mirio just shook his head, still smiling.
Hawks stretched. “Alright, let’s get this tour over with before Lumine escapes”
You scoffed. “Please. U.A. doesn’t scare me.”
Mirio grinned. “Well, in that case, welcome to U.A.! Let’s go!”
And with that, the tour began—
with you and Hawks following behind, still laughing.
REMEMBER: You’re 20. Then when you get to the school, you’re immediately thrown into a tour by the big three. Mirio being excited to see you. Neijire being bubbly as ever asking questions like if you and hawks are together and all that. Tamaki looks so nervous as if he hasn’t been fighting with fat gum. You and hawks having such a close friendship bully all of them from the question. Then mirio comes in and says you and hawks aren’t dating. interrupting you and hawks mid teasing. Both of you stop really fast, laughing and agreeing that you aren’t. Then pause to think about how fast mirio said it. Other than the missions he knew nothing about you. neijire joking after that mirio liking older women. Tamaki immediately defending you and not calling you not old. then neijire bubbly backtracking. meanwhile mirio is looking flustered and Hawks falling on mirio laughing. Then telling you that your fans are so cute.
——
The day had stretched long, but now, with the sun dipping below the horizon, U.A. had finally settled into a peaceful quiet. The tour, the teasing, the guest lecture it was all behind you now. You leaned against the railing of one of the school’s outdoor walkways, watching as the last bits of golden light painted the sky.
You heard footsteps behind you before you saw him.
“I was hoping I’d find you before you left,” Mirio’s voice was softer than usual still bright, still him, but lacking the usual boundless energy.
You glanced at him as he leaned against the railing beside you, arms resting against the cool metal. His school uniform was slightly ruffled, hair still tousled from the day’s events. But his usual grin was missing, replaced by something more thoughtful.
“Here to give me a final tour of the sunset?” you quipped lightly.
Mirio chuckled. “Something like that.” A pause. Then, “I wanted to apologize.”
You frowned, turning to face him fully. “For what?”
“For earlier.” He didn’t hesitate. “For interrupting when Nejire asked if you and Hawks were together. I just.” He exhaled, looking down at his hands before meeting your eyes again. “I had no right to say anything. I don’t really know you, not outside of missions. I shouldn’t have acted like I did.”
You blinked. Of all the things Mirio Togata had to apologize for today, this was not what you expected.
“You really don’t have to apologize for that.”
He gave you a small, almost sheepish smile. “I do.” Then, quieter, “Because when I thought even for a second that you weren’t available, it made me sad.”
Your breath caught.
Mirio looked back at the horizon, rubbing the back of his neck. “I know it’s kind of silly. We’ve barely spent time together outside of work. But I like seeing you. You’re always so bright even when you’re not fighting. It’s not just about battle, or power, or anything like that. You just are.”
You swallowed. “That’s just the reflection from your own sunshine, Togata.”
He laughed at that, and the warmth of it settled deep in your chest. Then he tilted his head. “You know what else I like?” You raised an eyebrow.
“You’re unflashy in the media.”
You blinked. “…Wow. Thanks?”
Mirio went blank then immediately, shaking his head. “I mean—you don’t put on a show for anyone. You don’t chase the cameras, or try to be something you’re not. You just do the work. You help people. You’re genuine.” His voice was softer now. “You’re a good person.”
Something in your chest tightened, a slow warmth creeping in before you could shove it down. You had been called a lot of things in your career. Powerful. Smart. Even intimidating. But good? That was rarer.
For the first time in a long while, you didn’t know what to say. The silence stretched between you. Mirio, ever patient, just smiled, waiting. And you feeling an unfamiliar heat rise to your face did the only thing you could do.
You turned on your heel and walked away.
“Hey wait!” Mirio called, laughter in his voice.
But you didn’t look back. Because if you did, you weren’t sure you’d be able to leave at all.

Mirio x Fem!Reader
December 3rd:
"Nope! You've gotta' open this one last."
Mirio Togata x fem!Reader
Tw: Disgustingly adorable fluff
Wc: 2.1k
Requested: Nope!
・┆✦ʚ♡ɞ✦ ┆・
Christmas night is going great. You, Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire had snuck off from the rest of your classmates for some alone time. Sure, your class was great! Everyone was kind, and hardworking, what better class could you ask for? As for what you were doing now, you were all laughing about a patrol story Nejire was telling, hidden away in Mirio’s dorm. Well, you and Mirio were laughing, Tamaki was beyond confused on what was going on.
“Please tell me you're making this up, Nejire!”
You laughed, clutching Mirio’s arm, who was laughing so hard tears were lining his eyes. Tamaki looked like he wanted to laugh, but he couldn't understand what was so funny about a Villain tripping while running away. Really, what could be so funny about that?
“It really di-”
Nejire said before the door creaked open, interrupting the girl. All four of you are looking towards the door, when a clearly sleepy Eri steps in, holding Aizawa’s hand.
“Oh! Hey Eri!”
Mirio said first, instantly brightening the little girl’s mood.
“Hello.”
She said with a smile and small yawn, her little fist curling up and rubbing her right eye.
“She wanted to see you four before she went to bed. She told me you guys helped her pick out presents?”
Aizawa asked, suppressing his own yawn.
“Yeah! We were going to wait until tomorrow morning, almost like an extra Christmas!”
Nejire chirped before you piped up.
“Mhm! You sure you wanna’ do presents tonight? We really don't have to.”
You reassure, getting up from your seat to pick up the girl, earning a giggle from Eri and an eye roll from Aizawa.
“Just call me when she's ready to go to bed.”
Aizawa sighs, closing the door whilst you all agree to his request. Warming Eri up to talk wasn't too hard, but still took a bit of time. She told you all about how class with 1-A went. The food was apparently delicious, Jiro played her guitar which was pleasant, Midorya made sure she was happy the whole time, and she handed out. . . Painted eggs? Whatever floats her boat. You all talked a little about Eri's Christmas so far, small comments from each of you.
“Well that sounds lovely, Eri!”
Mirio says with a small laugh that you rather enjoyed hearing. Behind him were a total of eight boxes, four bigger ones and four smaller. Eri helped pick out each and every present, going off with each person to find gifts for one another. You'd all already opened the presents from Eachother, and saved the ones for, and from Eri for tomorrow. However, since she was here now, why not open them now?
“So, Eri, wanna’ open presents now?”
You ask with Eri sitting in between you and Mirio, whose eyes are now sparkling just from the mention of more presents.
“Yes, please!”
She says excitedly. You laugh before reaching behind you to grab presents.
“Here's. . . Tamaki! And. . . All of Eri’s. Mirio, and Nejire! And there's mine.”
You mindlessly Say while you grab and pass out gifts, each one with its own wrapping paper. Mirio has. . . For some odd reason, Lightning McQueen with snowflakes. Eri's has reindeer with candy canes. Nejire has stars and presents, while Tamaki has presents and Santa hats. Yours has hearts and stars, how cute!
“Tamaki! Do you wanna start? Eri helped me pick it out!”
Mirio piped up, his signature smile on his face. Tamaki stuttered a bit before finally beginning to carefully undo the paper. Upon taking off the paper, he's presented with an. . . Amazon box!
“Can I please have scissors?”
He asks upon seeing the taped cardboard box, in which Nejire hands the designated present scissors that are meant to look like reindeer to Tamaki. He mumbles out a thanks, and takes the scissors, cutting the duct tape away. Now he's presented with. . . Another box! Instead, this one is the box for a heated blanket that Mirio will not be disclosing the price for (unnecessarily expensive).
“You're always saying how cold you get in winter, and I thought you'd like this. . .”
Eri speaks up, getting adoration filled looks from each of you. This girl is too darn cute. Her little red eyes dart from the box displaying the grey blanket to Tamaki, whose mouth is slightly open.
“Thank you, Eri, that's really sweet.”
Tamaki chuckles, and begins to open the box with as much care as he did taking the wrapping paper off. Eri’s smile beams even brighter when she hears Tamaki call the gift sweet. Before anyone can continue, Eri insists that Nejire opens hers, which Tamaki helped her pick.
“Oh! Alright.”
Nejire chuckles before ripping the carefully wrapped box. When she's done tearing away the paper she's presented with. . . An Amazon box! How cool!
“Wow! Just what I wanted, an Amazon box!”
Nejire laughed sarcastically with a smile, earning laughs from the rest of you, including Eri. Taking the reindeer scissors, she carefully cuts away the tape at the top of the box and pulls out an elephant stuffed animal with a tag that says ‘Put me in the microwave, and I’ll smell like lavender!’
“Aww, I've been wanting one of these lil’ guys for a while now! Thank you Eri, thank you Tamaki!”
Nejire said, hugging Tamaki, whose face turns red while she moves on to hug a beaming Eri. Who knew Eri picked such good presents?
“Ooh! Ooh! I wanna go next!”
Mirio says, reaching for his present but getting a small Smack on his hand from you.
"Nope! You've gotta' open this one last."
You say, getting a nod of agreement From Eri and a laugh from Tamaki and Nejire.
“See? Special orders from Eri.”
You shrug, getting a laugh from Mirio as he passes you your present. Your present is from Nejire and Eri, who're both looking at you expectingly.
“Oh this has got to be Legos.”
You say, aggressively shaking the box with laughter erupting From Eri. Eventually you stop shaking the present And take the wrapping paper off the Lego box, which is actually the first non-Amazon box to be opened.
“Oh wow! These are beautiful, Eri, Nejire, thank you!”
You thank, hugging both girls Respectfully. The Lego box is black with dark green edges, the Lego set in the middle. The set name, Botanical Garden, is in the top left corner, and the orchid below it in pink. The orchid legos are white with pink centers, tall green stems that stick out of a grey plant pot and droopy green leaves that go over the edge. Overall, the Lego set looks like tons of fun and pretty, especially since winter denies your ability to have real flowers.
“Now you can open your present.”
You say to Mirio, giving him a big ol’ smile, knowing exactly what's In the box.
“Dear lord, I got a little Amazon box!”
Mirio laughed, earning bright giggles from Eri and small chuckles from Nejire and Tamaki.
“Well, I really got. . . a little box?”
He questioned himself before opening the small jewelry box. The necklace inside was a heart made out of three puzzle pieces. The pieces didn’t say anything, all just a plain silver with the same silver chain. Carefully, he held the necklaces up, the heart keeping in tact.
“I wanted us three to be able to match. . .”
Eri said softly from Mirio's side, whose jaw was still slightly open. Sure, the necklace wasn’t anything crazy, but it still meant a lot to him.
“Thank you, Eri.”
He says softly, sniffling a little as she jumps up to hug the blonde who was clearly trying his best not to cry. He did cry a lot when Eri did something for him (Who wouldn’t? She’s literally the cutest thing).
“Eri, that’s really sweet!”
Nejire chirps from next to you, a soft smile on her lips while she watches Mirio take the pieces apart and pass one to Eri, and one to you. He reaches down to clasp the necklace around Eri’s neck, smiling just as brightly as she did at the concert.
“Wanna put mine on for me?”
You ask Mirio who's put his on and is Smiling down at the silver puzzle piece.
“Yeah, I do.”
He says, moving behind You and carefully doing the silver clasp. The chain hangs loosely around your neck, his soft fingers whispering against the back of your neck. Once you feel his touch leave, you hold the puzzle piece in your hand, remembering exactly how the moment with Eri went. She had been so insistent that you three have a matching something for his Christmas present.
You mumble out a thanks to Mirio while rolling the silver charm between your fingers. Next to you, Mirio Is helping Eri put her own necklace on with Nejire and Tamaki falling into conversation.
“Well, Eri, I think it's time for your presents, how does that sound? We each got you something, so there's four total.”
Mirio tells the little girl who's clearly getting more and more tired. You smile before Eri eagerly begins to open her first present, the sound of paper ripping filling the air.
“A. . . Box?”
Eri questions, earning small laughs From the rest of you while you cut the tape away to reveal a stuffed bunny that has the same tag as Nejire's stuffed animal.
“It's the same thing Nejire got, but it smells like apples. I got that for you."
You point out, and in response, Eri hugs the stuffed animal to her chest tightly. You let out a small chuckle with a warm smile before she proceeds to hug you next. You're taken by surprise before hugging her back. After she lets go while telling you a small ‘thank you', she begins opening her next present.
“Oh cool, an apple cookbook.”
Eri says before Miro points out it's from him so that they can make apple deserts together. Her eyes sparkled at The thought before hugging him as well.
“C'mon! Open mine next!”
Nejire persists, which is also a smaller present, clearly another book. As she opens it, she gets a confused look on her face.
“A guitar lessons book? But I don't have-”
She questions before Nejire pipes up.“Now open Tamaki's.”
Eri raises a brow before opening the biggest present, which has gotta be the Best present she's ever received. A guitar. Well, a smaller one that's good for learners, but a guitar nonetheless.
“You got this for me, Tamaki? Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
The girl cheers, jumping up to hug Tamaki, whose red faced and clearly having a bit of anxiety. Accepting the hug, he tells her a quick ‘You're welcome.'
Before she goes Back to her seat.Time passes with you guys talking and such, Eri yawning from time to time.
“Want me to call Aizawa so you can head to bed?”
You hear Mirio ask while you're talking to Nejire and Tamaki. You don't pay attention, but you can tell your boyfriend is on the phone with Aizawa, who comes no more than ten minutes later, and picks Eri up.
You all give your farewells, and not too Much later, Tamaki heads out, claiming he's also tired. Soon after, Nejire does the same, leaving you and Mirio.
“I-”
You go to say before getting cut off by a quick peck on the lips by Mirio.
“Nope, I'm afraid you can't claim you're also tired and plan to leave me.”
He says with a matter of fact tone. You roll your eyes before going to continue talking.
“Before you rudely interrupted me, I was planning on asking if you don't mind me staying the night.”
You huff, an amused smirk on your lips as you see Mirio’s mouth turn into a small ‘o’.
“Yeah, that'd be nice.”
He said before standing, helping you up in the process with a huff. You thank him by pressing a quick kiss To his lips, which he happily accepts. You feel his lips morph into a smile before you pull apart, and notice his arm reaching for something on his desk. That something being a Mistletoe.
“Is that-”
You try before being cut off.
“A Mistletoe? Yes, yes it is, and would you look at that? It's right above us, looks like you have to kiss me again.”
He teases, his eyes shining with mischief.
“Well shoot, guess I do, don't I?”
You giggle before reaching up to kiss his lips, feeling him drop the Mistletoe and bring his arms around you seconds after. The kiss felt like soft snowflakes falling onto an icy sidewalk with street lights highlighting every single drop of snow. Your lips unturn into a sweet smile, as do his. You each sit there for a little longer, lingering In the presence of your lover. After pulling apart he looks into your sparkling eyes.
"Merry Christmas, Love.”
He says sweetly, and you recite the words just a second later, clear adoration in the air you two share in this very moment.
“Merry Christmas, Love.”

A/N: I am not lovin’ this tbh. It felt more like Christmas presents with Eri and the big three, and not so much like a Mirio x Reader ;v;

Note
Okay I found this funny trend and I see Mirio doing this out of fun
Mirio secretly puts a balloon to the readers back of their hoodie or something like that and the reader doesn't know and they are both at the supermarket and Mirio knows that reader likes to wonder off so later when he sees no reader he tries to find the balloon he snuck on the reader's hoodie
Which is cute and funny at the same time
Pairings -> Mirio Togata x Reader
Warnings -> None
Note -> Mirio just having a little fun by putting a balloon on their back to find them later
Genre -> Fluff
Tumblr media
Mirio Togata
Okay you liked to wonder off to see a couple of things when you go out with Mirio but it wasn't your fault that everything looked good to look at
You and Mirio decided to go out on his day off of being a pro hero so you guys went to the shops to get some things and just walk around instead of being home all day
Mirio was looking at some stuff while you spotted something that caught your eye so you went over to another aisle like 2 down from where mirio was
A minute later you heard mirio calling out to you, he then peaked into the aisle that kind of scared you
Mirio laughed as he told you to not wonder off
You nodded your head as you followed him, you both in the aisle where the balloons were, mirio thought of an idea so he decided to try it
You were facing your back on him as he tied a balloon on your hoodie (magic or with tape)
Mirio giggled as you turned around and asked what so funny but he waved himself off as nothing happened
You shrugged as you both were somewhere else
After a minute of two you were gone again which mirio knew you were going to go somewhere
He was just looking at some ingredients for dinner tonight, asking what you'd like but no response
He turned around and didn't see you
He sighed playfully as he went to find the balloon he put on you
Apparently you were on the other side of the store looking at the cookies
He chuckled as he jogged over to you hugging you from behind making you jump
You scolded Mirio by scaring you as he chuckled then reaching behind you
You were confused at first until he held a balloon that came from behind you
You were so going to get him back

Summer Afternoon Fun with Mirio
A/n: Miriooo!! I love him sm I want to give him a hug
CW: nothing, just pure fluff :]
Tumblr media
"…if it helps, I love you."
"That does help you- now ill make it quick."
He chuckled. "Love, please. Don’t do this."
"Why shouldn’t I?" You cocked an eyebrow.
"Cause you love your darling husband?"
"Hmm… you're right. However, I also love torturing you. ATTACK!" You yelled as you moved your arm back and forth, causing the water to blast out of the water gun. You lunged toward him, following him around.
"AHHH NOOO-HAHA-" Mirio ran around the yard, laughing and screaming while also trying to dodge your attacks. His attempts were futile, as you hit him in the middle of his back. He screamed in agony. "WHY IS IT SO COLD!?" He ran towards back towards your house, phasing into the wall. You groaned.
"CHEATER!" You yelled into the wall.
It's silent for a few seconds before you hear an "Aha!" from behind you. Turning around, you see Mirio with his own water gun, pointed right at you. "Put down the water gun and your hands up." He motioned to the ground.
"And what if I don’t?" You smirked.
"You will be sprayed." He grinned.
There was a pause. Your eyes were locked, water guns pointed at each other.
Then you bolted. He immediately ran after you, shooting water at you. Successfully hitting you and soaking your shirt. He shot at you for awhile before his water gun stopped shooting. He threw it aside and lunged at you. He tackled you to the ground, rolling on the grass so that he landed on the bottom. You tried to wiggle out of his grasp, but it was to no avail.
"Fine- you win." You huff, upset with your loss. He laughed.
"You put up a fair fight."
"I would've won if you didn’t cheat."
He gasped dramatically. "I did not cheat!"
"You phased through the wall and tricked me!"
"Hey, you never said quirks were off limits!"
"It should've been obvious!" You laughed, letting your head fall onto his chest. You both stayed there for a while, eyes closed, soaking up the sun.
"Okay, it's hot. Can you let go of me?"
Mirio kept his eyes closed.
"No, I like holding you."
"I like when you hold me too Mirio but I'm gonna overheat."
"Then we'll overheat together!"
"Babe!"

✧── .★: *.✦ .* :★. ──✧
Sunlight streamed through the large windows of the town’s community center, illuminating the neat stacks of paperwork you had prepared for the day. The scent of fresh coffee lingered in the air, a small comfort amidst the controlled chaos of planning the biggest hero-related event your town had seen in years.
You flipped through your checklist one more time. Everything needed to run smoothly. The residents were counting on you.
“Alright,” you murmured, scanning the list. “Venue booked, safety measures in place, schedule finalized…”
A familiar, chipper voice cut through your thoughts.
“Good morning, sunshine! Ready to teach some future heroes?”
Mirio Togata strolled into the office with his signature beaming smile, his golden hair tousled as if he had just run here at full speed. His energy was as boundless as ever, a stark contrast to your meticulous, structured nature.
You sighed but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at your lips. “Good morning, Mirio. I trust you’re prepared for today’s session?”
“Of course!” he declared, clapping a hand to his chest. “I mean, I didn’t actually read the whole schedule you sent me, but I skimmed it!”
You inhaled sharply, gripping your clipboard. “Mirio…”
He laughed, rubbing the back of his head. “Kidding, kidding! I know what to do, promise. Besides, improv keeps things exciting, don’t you think?”
You bit your lip, resisting the urge to lecture him on the importance of structure and organization. Instead, you handed him a neatly printed schedule.
“Just follow the plan, okay? The kids are excited, and we need everything to go off without a hitch.”
He took the paper with a playful salute. “Aye, aye, captain!”
Despite his teasing nature, you trusted Mirio. He had a way of making everything feel lighter, even your never-ending responsibilities.

The training session started smoothly enough. Young aspiring heroes gathered in the town’s open field, eagerly awaiting Mirio’s demonstration. You stood to the side, clipboard in hand, ensuring everything was running on schedule.
Mirio, of course, was thriving in the spotlight. He demonstrated Permeation with ease, phasing through the ground, walls, and even dodging attacks from the more eager trainees. The kids watched in awe, hanging onto his every word.
“Being a hero isn’t just about strength,” Mirio said, hands on his hips. “It’s about spirit! Sometimes, you’ve got to trust your instincts and go with the flow!”
You sighed, tapping your pen against the clipboard. “Or, you know, have a structured plan,” you muttered under your breath.
Mirio shot you a knowing grin. “What was that, Y/N?”
You crossed your arms. “Nothing. Just hoping you actually stick to the schedule.”
He chuckled and turned back to the trainees. “Alright, next up—a teamwork exercise!”
You brightened. This was an essential part of hero work, and you had carefully planned this activity to reinforce collaboration.
But, of course, Mirio had his own ideas.
Instead of pairing up the trainees as per your structured chart, he let them choose their own partners, throwing your organization into disarray. Then, rather than following the scripted obstacle course, he opted for a spontaneous game of catch Mirio, where he used Permeation to dodge the kids while they worked together to trap him.
To your horror, the crowd loved it.
Your careful schedule was unraveling before your eyes.
Frustration bubbled up as you stormed toward him. “Mirio! This isn’t what we agreed on!”
He turned, grinning. “But look! They’re having fun, and they’re learning teamwork!”
You exhaled sharply. “Yes, but structure is important! What if things spiral out of control?”
“Then we adjust!” he said easily. “Hero work is unpredictable, Y/N. You of all people know that.”
You opened your mouth to argue, but his words struck a chord. He wasn’t wrong. No matter how much you planned, life—and heroism—was full of surprises.
Still, you weren’t ready to admit defeat just yet.
“Fine,” you huffed. “But next time, at least tell me when you’re changing things up.”
Mirio chuckled, flashing you a lopsided grin. “Deal.”

As the day wound down and the trainees left, you found yourself sitting on a bench, nursing a well-earned cup of coffee. The sun had started to set, casting the town in a warm, golden glow.
Mirio plopped down beside you, stretching his arms behind his head. “Well, that was fun, huh?”
You sighed, shaking your head. “You’re impossible, you know that?”
He laughed. “You say that like it’s a bad thing!”
You glanced at him, your expression softening. “They really did have fun.”
“Told ya.”
You exhaled, staring down at your coffee. “I just… I like when things are planned. It makes me feel like I’m in control. When things go off course, I—” You hesitated. “I get overwhelmed.”
Mirio was quiet for a moment, an unusual stillness for him. Then, in a rare, gentle tone, he said, “I get it. You want things to be perfect because you care.”
You turned to look at him, surprised by the sincerity in his voice.
“You work so hard to make sure everyone is okay, Y/N. That’s incredible.” His smile softened. “But you don’t have to carry everything alone. Sometimes, letting go a little can make things even better.”
Your breath hitched.
It was strange—Mirio, the most spontaneous person you knew, somehow understood you better than most.
Before you could think, you found yourself saying, “You make things better too.”
His eyes widened slightly before his signature grin returned. “Aw, you’re gonna make me blush!”
You rolled your eyes, but your heart was hammering.
A comfortable silence stretched between you, the golden light of the setting sun wrapping around you both like a warm embrace.
Then, suddenly—
“Hey,” Mirio said, leaning a little closer. “Would it be too off-schedule if I asked to take you out sometime?”
Your breath caught.
Heat bloomed in your cheeks as you turned to face him fully. He was still smiling, but there was something else in his eyes—something hopeful.
Your mind raced through a dozen logical responses, but for once, you let instinct take over.
You smiled. “I think I can make an exception.”
His grin widened, and in that moment, you knew—maybe a little unpredictability wasn’t so bad after all.
