More late night thoughts to add to my collection of things I want to write but also feel overwhelmed by:

The AOS crew meets their Mirror!verse counterparts, resulting in the infamous mind meld.

And Len just...doesn't tell anyone. Completely shuts down and shuts everyone one out.

It's not uncommon, for him to be so avoidant after a hard mission or around certain days, but this is something different entirely. It's never lasted this long and he's never avoided Spock in particular like this before. And it's that avoidance that get Spock thinking about what exactly might have happened.

He reached out to Ambassador Spock, who confirms his fears suspicions and explains what he had to do for his own Dr. McCoy, forming a new mind meld to help him piece back together those parts of his mind that his own Mirror!counterpart had torn through to get the information he wanted. He is worried though, his Dr. McCoy didn't try to hide what had happened, had never seemed afraid of him after. That this Dr. McCoy has such trepidation implies that there is something deeper at play and he recommends telling Jim first, before saying anything to Leonard himself.

Spock follows this council and goes to Jim who flashes so many emotions across his face in such rapid succession, it's a wonder he doesn't combust. "I'll talk to him." is all he says before walking away.

In the end, Len agrees to the recommended treatment plan. It takes some convincing still yet, and it's at least partially due to the migraine become totally debilitating, but he agrees. In the end Spock understands a great deal more about Leonard than he ever expected to, and he can't find it within him to hold on to the initial hurt he never would have admitted to feeling the first time Leonard skittered out of the room as soon as Spock entered.

Rarity Redesign

Rarity is one of my favorite ponies from the Mane Six! I love this design I have for her... I am a sucker for dappled coats on equine characters!

Rarity Belle comes from a long line of Unicorns, all be it, with a few earth pony genes thrown in the mix. Not that she minds though. Her family can trace their lineage back to Eastern Unicorns of Neighsia, giving her a sleek and elegant look that differs slightly from the Traditional Unicorns of Canterlot. She loves her parents, Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumbles, and her little sister, Sweetie Belle, but she is a very independent mare and moved out on her own the moment she could. She opened her first boutique, Carousel, in Ponyville and saw a lot of success. She takes her job as a fashion designer very seriously. She never thought she would have much of a time for a family herself, as she just was too focused on her work.

Rarity identifies as a cis-mare, and after a lot of soul searching, identifies and aromantic and bisexual.

Her cutiemark is a shimmering golden thread, looped through a precious gem with a sewing needle. It just suits her love for sewing and creating, and penchant for finding gems!

Happy Father’s Day to Gabe Shaw

You can really see who David gets his looks from :)

(I know I promised certain people this was gonna be a wholesome post, but the parasites in me always win—)

A lil fun fact, David had been growing out his hair since Highschool with minimal care, but after Gabe passed he cut it short (kind of like Gabe’s in fact) because his depression had begun to make it hard to manage while also taking on the role as Pack Alpha so much sooner than he had ever expected.

The first time he cut it was in the bathroom the night before Gabe’s funeral. He didn’t exactly know what he was doing, but he was desperate to rid himself of some kind of weight he carried.

It was a mess. At some point he stopped trying to perfect it and blindly cut here and there as tears fogged his vision of the miserable reflection in front of him.

When he finally allowed himself to breath and get a good look at the damage, he felt as if the man he had lost was staring right back at him, saddened by the sight of his son in dismay. He broke down, silently as not wake his roommate who had already spent several restless nights comforting his best friend.

The next morning, greeted by the sight of David’s attempt to cope, Asher managed to convince David let him take him to go get his hair touched up before the funeral—not that there was much protest on his part.

Seeing it cleaned up by the proper tools in the right hands made him feel little better. But the burden still sat heavy on his shoulders. He was the Alpha now, he needed to look like he had it together. He needed to have it together.

He’s gotten it cut that way ever since.

I was thinking about my body swapping idea, which had me considering what is consciousness and how it's not even understood by scientists and folk who atudy that sort of thing, I was contemplating how the body keeps score and how our pasts and our memories make us the people we are in the present moment.

What would be the impacts of these ideas on a body swap. Would they take their memories with them or would they only have access to the memories stores in the body and in the brain. If that was the case, does that change who they are a little bit?

Are they really only body swapping or are they become two new people entirely?

Which then led to me contemplating the idea of Mirror!verse and the impact it would have if they didn't fully and physically swap over, but if they had body swapped with their respective Mirror versions.

How would having that kind of full access to their Mirror counterparts affect them? Would they even truly know that they changed places a s if they suddenly no longer had access to their own memories from their own universe and lives?

I want to have deep and philosophical conversations about this but I don't know how to.

Twilight Sparkle Redesign

Figured I'd sprinkle some of my old redesigns here!! They've been posted on my DA for a while but I am still really happy with them!

First is Princess Twilight Sparkle! She started out as a regular unicorn stature, but this is what I envision her in her growth spurt after she becomes an alicorn. Below are some headcanons and info about her in my personal nextgen story!

Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Magic and Friendship, is the fourth Princess of Equestria. Her parents, Night Light and Twilight Velvet, are immensely proud of their daughter and their son, Emperor Shining Armor of the Crystal Empire. Both ascended to god-like status for serving and protecting Equestria with their lives and continuing to be strong leaders to the country. Twilight splits her time between Canterlot and Ponyville, her presence needed often in both places. While she still struggles with stress, she is very loved and respected by her friends and every pony around her. After the events with the Storm King, she grew close to her new personal guard Tempest Shadow, and the two had an on again off again relationship before officially marrying.

This Twilight is bi :3

Her cutiemark is based off the G3 pony toy Twilight Twinkle and Velvet Bow! It is still representative of her magical ties and the friends she is destined to meet.

what if instead of the fandom depicting mirror verse characters with scars/disfigurements/disabilities (which is cliché and boring and ableist besides), we depicted them as obsessed with beauty and youth.

they are fascists after all and fascists are notoriously intolerant of disabilities. we don't even see many visible injuries in the canon mirror verse. so what if battle scars aren't points of pride but things they hide and magic away with future medical equipment because to succeed in the mirror verse you have to be young and able bodied. they probably harvest blood from teenagers a la Bryan Johnson to reverse the effects of aging
