In a world where Utsuro and Akane Taira never joined the Ultimate Despair, and Yuki Maeda was able to be part of Hope's Peak's class 79 like he supposed to, Emi was born as his and Kizuna Tomori's daughter. Having adquired her mom's love for expensive things, but not wanting to leave her beloved dad in bankruptcy, she, like her mom when she had her age, manipulates other boys (and girls) to buy her things with her beauty, unaware of the enemies that she's making for herself in the process of doing this.

She also, behind the backs of all of those who see her as just a vapid girl, works in a animal shelter part-time, using part of the money she gets from her manipulations to keep it afloat because of her love for the animals inside.

Still too young to speak clearly, she doesn't understands a lot of what the people around her tell her, having a lot of curiosity of the new world that now surround her, always wanting to see how the former Remnants of Despair do, something that her dad sees as a interest for talent, an assumption that will eventually be disproven once she becomes older.

The young son of Kazuichi Soda and Mikan Tsumiki, born in awkward circumstances in a world where the Targedy never happened, Kazuki is clumsy and shy like his mom, which, alongside with her mom's talent, has woken up an interest on medicine, wanting to become a nurse when he's older. Sadly, all of this has made him a target of bullying, just like his parents before him, but the both of them are working, with their former classmates, to help him with it, and give them a better childhood that what they got.
