PLEASE WRITE A MIZZEN X FEM TRIBUTE READER HEADCANNONS PLEASE IT CAN BE ROMANTIC OR PLATONIC U CHOSSE THANK YOU
Mizzen my beloved!!!!!!!!!! Hope you like these :) Sorry for any grammar mistakes. Sorry this took so long 🫶🏻
Obviously you're not from the same district, I think you're probably from District 5 or 6
Tumblr media
He'd notice you on the train that brings you to the Capitol, but build up the courage to talk to you only later on when you're in the Zoo
You're very shy and quiet at first, but who can blame you? You're scared and also don't want to trust anyone. You know that in the end, one way or another, each one of the tributes will try to kill you
But Mizzen is so nice to you. You can't help but smile and talk to him!! You share little anecdotes of your days in the District, and he does the same with you, trying to distract you from the inevitable. And you do the same for him
You spend lots of time together at the zoo, talking and comforting each other
During Arachne's funeral (if you're from 5) he'll try to comfort you by subtly leaning his hands over you, though you can't take it because you're chained, but you surely understand the gesture and will hug him right after ):
The night before the Games Mizzen will talk to Coral and ask her if you can join their small alliance
Although you're the same age, you're shorter and look weaker, which leads people to underestimate you, which is exactly what Coral does.
When the Games do starts you don't even try to go for the weapons, you'll try to escape and hide instead
You somehow manage, and when the dust is settled, Mizzen will come out to look out for you. Totally against Coral's advice lol
When he finds you, your first instinct is to run away. But when you notice it's Mizzen you calm down, and I feel like he'd hug you and tell everything is alright IDC THAT YOU'RE IN THE ARENA, OKAY. HE WOULD
Coral will reluctantly let you join the alliance, where you live in constant fear of Treech and Tanner
But Mizzen will do anything to protect you and save you from any threat you may receive from them!!
Literally everyone but Mizzen hates that you joined them because they think you're weak and will just slow them down until Coryo and Sej get into the arena
You despise them because they're Capitol, and when you manage to injure Sejanus while they're escaping, the others start to re-evaluate you
You're still terrified, but survival instinct kicked in
you help kill Lamina 😔💔
After that you don't have much more time together alone cause, you know. Snakes
Which is what kills you both. At least you don't have to see the other die. It just happens

Let the record show that you went above and beyond as a mentor.
That was the first thought to pass through your mind as the heavy doors of the van were slammed shut by oblivious peacekeepers, trapping you and Coriolanus in a confined space with around a dozen tributes who wanted you dead.
You kept your eyes fixed at a point on the floor towards the opposite end of the van, scared of what—or rather who you would see if you lifted your gaze. Not that you would be able to blame them. Had you been in their position, you would’ve jumped at the opportunity to seek revenge.
If Coriolanus was as unsettled as you were, he did a damn good job of hiding it. Straightening his posture, he brushed off the dust that had accumulated on his vermillion Academy uniform. While he may have had the confidence, he stuck out like a sore thumb and you were suddenly very grateful for having chosen against such a conspicuous outfit. Coming to the conclusion that you were just as safe, if not more safe than Coriolanus, due to having introduced yourself and offered food to several of the tributes you were currently riding with, you allowed your eyes to slowly lift from the dirty metal floor of the van. Unfortunately for you, the spot where you had previously been fixating at had been right where Treech was standing, with your eyes suddenly meeting as your gaze ascended from the floor. His arm was hanging onto the railing that ran along the length of the van, and his eyes bore into you the same way they had when you had slapped him minutes prior. Behind him you could see a little girl who you believed to be Wovey from District eight. Your few tedious moments of tension were broken by Coriolanus clearing his throat, an action that brought the rest of the tributes attention towards the two of you. If they hadn’t been staring already.
“Hi.” It was barely audible, but the echo of the van carried the single word and let it hang in anticipatory silence. Your face cringed at t he sound of if. Here you two were, a couple of rich Capitol kids who had waltzed into a vehicle with a bunch of exhausted kids who were being held like prisoners, and he was acting like it was some sort of field trip.
“What’s the matter, Pretty Boy? Got in the wrong cage?” The boy from District eleven, Reaper spoke up from where he stood at the opposite end of the van, next to Treech. Clemmie had been assigned as his mentor and had been more than pleased when it was announced, and you could see why. The boy was by far the biggest out of everyone in the van and stood well past six feet tall, with huge shoulders and a square jaw permanently shaped into a scowl, he was downright terrifying.
“No, not at all. This cage is delightful.” It was an awful attempt at clearing the tension, but you had to give your classmate credit for having the balls to make such a statement.
Reaper, however, didn’t appreciate the boy’s comment and suddenly lurched forward, making great strides across the van from where he formerly stood next to Treech. Before you knew it, the dark skinned boy had Coriolanus pressed up against the wall of the vehicle, his large hands fisting the material of his Academy coat.
The van suddenly came to life with action, with variously tributes egging on Reaper to kill Coriolanus. Exceptionally happy for the sudden opportunity to retaliate in the violence that was being imposed upon them.
“Get him Reaper!” You could hear a boy urging from somewhere behind you. Coriolanus’s formerly collected facade was quickly falling apart at the realization of his probable imminent death, his hands desperately reaching out in a feeble attempt to push the much larger boy off of him.
“I’ll kill you right now.” Reaper growled as he somehow managed to push Coriolanus further into the wall. You didn’t take Reaper as someone who was all bark and no bite, and was nearly certain he would go through with his threat if there was no immediate intervention.
“He’ll do it.” A raspy voice piped up from next to you—Dill, Reaper’s district partner. “He killed a peacekeeper back in eleven. They never found out who did it.” The young girl smirked a bit after the past comment, before a cough came over her and she was sent into a fit.
“Quiet Dill.” Reaper turned around only long enough to reprimand the younger girl, but his scolding had already brought all eyes towards Dill, which subsequently brought attention to you.
“Looks like Pretty Boy came with a friend.” Tanner, the boy from District ten, whistled out. He was Domitia’s tribute, and you had been severely disturbed by his reaping, where his hands had been shown to be bloody from what you hoped was a morning at the slaughterhouse. While now there was only faint traces of blood buried underneath his fingernails, the taller boy still wore a particularly wicked grin on his face as he slowly approached you, eyes never leaving yours. You subconsciously took a few steps back, your body now flush against the cold metal wall alongside Coriolanus. “What’s a pretty little thing like you doing in here?” Tanner’s question might have been phrased more nicely than Reaper’s, but it was still laced with the same tone of anger and vengeance. Your petrified eyes left Tanner’s unnerving gaze, and you peered over his shoulder, to shaken to answer the District ten boy. Treech’s eyes were also fixed on you, but in a way that was much more contemplative and pensive, as if he was debating on whether or not he should intervene. However, much to your shock it wasn’t Treech nor Coriolanus who came to your rescue. It was Lamina.
The sullen girl had slipped from her spot beside Treech without anyone noticing and moved to stand between you and Tanner, acting as a barrier to protect you despite her obvious shaking. Lucy Gray also made herself known, appearing from her spot deep in the van to approach Reaper, a silence falling over the riled up tributes as the girl spoke up.
“You got family back home?” The question was obviously intended for Reaper and Tanner, but she looked around the van as if her question was pointed towards all of them.
“They’ll kill them if you hurt either of them, and then they’ll kill you.” Lucy Gray spoke as if it were obvious, and the realization seemed to set in on the two boys and they thankfully backed away towards their respective district partners. Lamina let out a sigh of relief, her hands still shaking in little balled fists. You were in awe at her bravery, not only for confronting a much larger tribute, but also that she did it for you, someone who was virtually a stranger.
“Besides, I might need him, being my mentor and all.” The last part caused Coriolanus’s gaze to immediately shift to Lucy Gray, as if he was shocked that she was coming to his defense.
“Mender? How come you get a mender?” A girl with a bright red bob, Coral, interrogated from her corner of the van.
“A mentor.” Coriolanus corrected, he was always a stickler when it came to grammar and pronunciation. Something that could annoy you to no end when he went of his rants during class. “Each of you get one, to help guide you throughout the games.”
“And were supposed to trust you on that?” Coral retorted, unimpressed with the boy’s answer. “Why does Little Miss Rainbow get special treatment?” The redheaded girl pointed an accusatory finger at Lucy Gray, as if she was responsible for her mentor’s shortcomings. You made a mental reminder to warn Festus, Coral’s mentor, on how much of a firecracker she was before he could meet her for himself. You were near certain he would pleased though, feisty types tended to fare well in the games. Getting her to entertain the Capitol however, would be a different battle.
“She doesn’t get special treatment, you all have mentors.” Coriolanus reiterated, clearly still on edge from his close encounter with Reaper. “Then why aren’t they here?” This time Bobbin, a boy from District eight spoke up, clearly interested in the prospect of having a mentor.
“Just not inspired, I guess.” Lucy Gray added, a smirk forming on her face. She must’ve known her performance at the Reapings had garnered her mentor’s attention. You felt a pang of sympathy for the girl. Little did she know that only a few moments before her singing, Coriolanus had already given up any hope of her winning.
“Who does she belong to?” Tanner inquired, although he had backed a few feet away, his stare had never broken away from you. He slightly licked his lips which was already enough to make you shudder. What was his deal?
“Back of ten.” Your eyes suddenly moved towards the voice, landing on the tall frame of Treech, who had let go of his railing and was moving closer towards Tanner. “You got lucky Lumberjack, I’m honestly a bit jeal-”
Tanner didn’t get a chance to finish his sentence. Because before you knew it, the van jerked, knocking everyone to the ground in a wave on shock and confusion. Lamina landed on top of you, which surprisingly didn’t hurt due to her being much smaller. She quickly moved off of you with a soft apology as everyone tried to regain their balance. However, another lurch sent everyone tumbling onto the floor once again. This time you landed next to Treech, your head falling against his chest as the floor started sloping, sending the piles of tributes and mentors into the metal doors with a slam. You tried to raise your head from Treech’s chest to get a grasp as to what was happening, but his arm reached out to wrap around you, holding you in place against his body. Before you could fight against him the metal doors of the van suddenly jutted open, dumping everyone out, and sending them falling towards the ground below.

We are Lamina stans here!!! Love to see Treech’s protectiveness as well, so stay prepared for that in coming chapters! Hopefully I will be able to post another chapter in the next day or two!

I was thinking what if was Mags friend with Coral and Mags was trying to win the games for her.
And when she won she thought something like, "See Coral, I made it, at least one of us will go home" or "I did it for you"

☆ ~ i know they’re losing
pairing: platonic!mizzen x mentor!reader summary: for the last assignment of the year you and the other top 23 students of the academy were assigned a tribute to turn into a spectacle for the watchers; you just wished you didn’t get the young boy with such soulful eyes. warnings: canon death, second person, scenes used from the movies (besides some changes I made) based on the song ‘i bet on loosing dogs’ by mitski
Tumblr media
my baby, my baby
you’re my baby, say it to me
the first time you looked into those soulful eyes were when they were filled with tears, the emotional distress not hidden from watching eyes of the capital who only smirked and chuckled at the illuminating picture.
“district 4 male tribute, goes to (name) (last name),” you could vaguely hear the giggles coming off your classmates at your misfortune but you payed no mind, only looking at the bottom of the screen where it held his name; Mizzen.
baby, my baby
tell your baby that i’m your baby
you decided that the best way to gain his trust would be by proving yourself. so here you were, on the platform waiting for the district 4 tributes to be escorted out of their section of the train with a couple bottles of water and an assortment of wrapped goods.
when they did, the first that stepped out was festus’s tribute—radiating a threatening aura that almost made you back off—before mizzen popped his head out which made your confidence spike, knowing you would take your chances with coral if that meant keeping him fed.
“excuse me,” your voice was soft and your touch even softer as you tried to get the attention of the peacekeepers escorting them, at first not even gathering their attention but the two tributes instead which caused them to stop in their place.
the men clad in grey looked towards what gathered their attention, making them stop in annoyance, your crimson academy uniform alerting them of a possible reason you’d be here.
glad you had gotten the recognition you needed you hastily stumbled out the words before they were transported into the other car waiting just a few feet away, “i brought something for my tribute, i would like for them to have it before they’re taken away.”
despite their obvious reluctance they knew you came from a family that held a high place in society, which meant if they didn’t oblige they could possibly loose their job (if you decided to be petty), so they hesitantly gave you a nod which caused a smile of appreciation to bloom on your face.
quickly, you pulled out two wrapped sandwiches—grilled cheese and turkey—and a bottle of water before making your way infront of mizzen who coral was ultimately guarding, “i didn’t know what you liked, but i know this is better than starving.”
and when mizzen didn’t immediately grasp your offerings, you shot a look to coral trying your best to show you didn’t mean any harm, hoping to persuade her so she could lower her guard on him. there was a prolonged pause before she stepped away, mizzen eagerly grabbing the food before looking up at you.
you smiled at him one last time before leaning close to his ear to whisper to him, “i’ll come find you again soon to bring you more food. i’ll see you later, alright?”
and as the peacekeepers led them into the cattle car you could almost make out the childish smile he shot your way in thanks.
i bet on losing dogs
i know they’re losing and i pay for my place
by the ring
his form was jittery as you entered the arena, his eyes consuming every inch of the place where his body would take it’s last breaths if he didn’t emerge as the victor. the swirling thoughts in his brain making him oblivious to the fact that he had desperately grasped onto your hand.
at first, shock coursed through your body but seeing the far-away look in his eyes you let him grasp onto you for comfort, gently leading him around the arena as you scoped out for places he could hide or when he needed it to have the advantage.
only minutes after, your attention was averted to the shakiness under your legs just before a burst of dust tumbled down. immediately taking action, you tugged on the hand you were holding so you could lead him to safety, completely disregarding yours…disregarding that a piece of debris was coming right for you.
the impact was rough, causing your hands to break apart as the rubble casted it’s weight over your legs. but when he looked back with fear in his eyes all you did was call out to him to run.
and when your eyes were slipping shut, the last thing you saw was mizzen desperately fighting the peacekeepers hold as he called out for them to help you.
where i’ll be looking in their eyes when their down
i’ll be there on their side
all you could do was watch from the screen as the holographic snakes broke out of their confinements and slithered across the dirtied arena floor. mizzen’s pace slowing for just a second as exhaustion finally caught up to him, unknowingly giving the snakes an open opportunity for another kill. tears prickling at the corners of your eyes as wave after wave consumed his body.
the venom was quick to kill most of his nerves, enough that instead of seeing coral looking back at him he saw you. a desperate plea leaving his lips in his final moments, “(name!!)”
i’m losing by their side
“and there goes merciless mizzen!” lucky flickerman excitedly announced, “have a good summer (last name)!”
you hastily got up from your chair, head up high until you were fully out of everyone’s view. only to quickly cover your mouth to quell the beginning of your anguished sobs, as you stood alone outside—those soulful eyes now dark and void of life.

hey! i was wondering if u would ever consider write a platonic fic for mizzen? totally fine if not 🫶
pinky promise → mizzen
Tumblr media
platonic!mizzen x reader
notes → in which mizzen changes your outlook on the district kids. mentor!reader & gender neutral reader (no pronouns mentioned). 500+ words
warnings → it’s short, sorry about that! not edited & uploaded via iphone.
“mizzen?” you called out, hands brushing the rough metal bars as you circled the monkey house in search of the tribute you had been assigned. your lips were pressed together in a thin line, quite concerned for the little boy. he was district, you knew that, but something about his eyes made you feel for him. the eyes that should’ve held childlike wonder and curiosity had been overcome with bitterness and fear, things that a boy his age should know nothing of. if you had been assigned to one of the older tributes, you probably wouldn’t have thought twice about whether they lived or died, more concerned with winning the plinth prize. upon reevaluation, the whole ordeal made you realize that none of those kids were old enough to be rebels, and they were obligated to pay the price for lives they never took. it was unfair the panem’s youth to have to learn of war and pain. “mizzen!” you called again, louder and more sure of yourself this time. he stood near his district partner, coral. the boy swung his head towards you, then turned to coral for confirmation. coral looked warily at you, but shrugged, gesturing for him to go see what you wanted. slowly but surely, mizzen ambled over to you with a cautious glare.
“hi there, mizzen, my name is y/n. i’ll be your mentor for the games.” you introduced yourself with a smile, trying to appear as friendly and welcoming as possible.
“why weren’t you at the train station like the rainbow girl’s mentor?” mizzen questioned innocently, catching you off guard. oh, coriolanus. you sly, cheating son of a gun. you tried to remain calm while you thought of an answer that didn’t make you seem like a total ass.
“well, my classmate, coriolanus, sort of bent the rules to be there. i’m real sorry i couldn’t make it, but look,” you slung your backpack over your shoulder, unzipping it to show mizzen the contents, “i brought you some food and water. you must be hungry, huh? the trip here was a long one, i bet.” mizzen nodded hesitantly as he scanned the arrangement of food and drink stuffed into your backpack. “take whatever you want. and bring some to coral as well!” you suggested, peering over mizzen’s shoulder at the girl. mizzen reached his hands into the bag with force, accepting your invitation eagerly as he grabbed many handfuls of what you had brought. if this were any other tribute, the sight would have likely unsettled you, but all you felt for the boy was sympathy. mizzen’s face adorned an ecstatic, genuine smile. quickly, he thanked you, running back with his new goods and excitedly showing them off to coral. the girl whispered something to mizzen that you couldn’t make out, and he turned towards you again, making his way over to you once more.
“will you come back tomorrow?” he asked, his hope hidden under the mask of interrogation. you beamed, glad that he had come back to you after previously running off.
“of course, mizzen. i promise to visit you anytime i can.” you carefully stuck your hand through the bars, holding out your pinky to him. mizzen’s face sported a toothy grin as he hooked his smaller pinky around yours, shaking it slightly to solidify the promise.

Volunteering for Lucy Gray Baird
note: trying the scenarios format because I’m obsessed with this woman and I used to write this way and did way better, so let me know what you like better!
Tumblr media
🎶🕊️~ Lucy Gray wasn’t shocked when her name was called. Disturbed? Yes. But not shocked.
~ She’d been making her way to the front when she heard a familiar voice coupled with unfamiliar words. “I volunteer!”
~ You had to say it a few times to be heard on the stage, but Lucy Gray heard you loud and clear.
~The look she gave you, you’d have thought you rigged the reaping yourself.
~ Her eyes welled up as you approached the stage. She’d grab your arm, squeezing your sleeve with shaky fingers.
~ “Don’t do this.” Lucy Gray began, but you tugged away from her and walked away. You couldn’t look at your friend’s face when she cried. You were afraid Lucy Gray would convince you not to go anywhere, to let her go instead.
~You refused to look at her the whole time Jessup was reaped to go alongside you, but you could hear Lucy Gray crying.
~When you were escorted out you spared her a final look, you did love her after all.
~Lucy Gray was looking right back, you should’ve expected as much. Her brown eyes were fiery with emotion, you thought maybe she was angry.
~It didn’t take long for you to get the message. Survive this you damn fool. You could hear her saying it and that’s what you told yourself the whole train ride.
~When you got there you were greeted by a blonde boy who offered you a white rose. You narrow your eyes at it. “Let me guess, that’s for Jessup?”
~He didn’t have a good sense of humor to say the least, but he was determined, jumping into cage after cage after you and visiting you.
~You found his name to be Coriolanus Snow, but never referred to him as such, “snowflake” or “baby girl” seemed more fitting somehow. (Coryo did not agree)
~Didn’t take long for the games to begin, Lucy Gray didn’t have the heart to train with any weapon, but you sure did.
~Getting your hands on a sword was easy aside from Reaper throwing himself at you.
~You felt bad when Jessup was lost to the bloodbath, but that was remedied enough when you killed the boy who did it.
~There was one person you became allies with, little Wovey. You thought Lucy Gray would like her.
~You didn’t talk to her much, mostly dragged her along with you. Not that she needed any convincing.
~She was a great climber though! She could easily climb up into the stands, while you needed her help.
~When the snakes came, you and Wovey happened to have come down to take part in the fighting that was happening.
~She was gone so fast you had no time to mourn her, only running. Run. Run. Run.
~Reaper made no move to escape, but you heard Mizzen die rather loudly. Coral ran behind you as you scaled debris, remembering as many of Wovey’s tactics as possible.
~Coral calling for help was all you could hear, but, well… if you pushed her off then the games would end before the snakes ever reached you, right?
~It did not.
~You lay completely still, not even making an attempt to breathe as they slithered over you. You wondered if Lucy Gray was watching. If you were the only person left, why weren’t you being let out?
~It took a while, but your winning was announced.
~Everything else was a blur as you were delivered back home.
~Lucy Gray had waited for you at the train station for hours, without even knowing if the winner was you.
~She saw you first, and tackled you to the ground in a hug.
~Lucy Gray would cry a lot. “I thought I’d never see you again.” “Don’t ever do that again.” “I love you so much.”
~Your brain lagged over her words before you understood and clutched her desperately to your chest. “I love you too, so much.”
~She thought you deserved to be slapped, but instead she kissed you. Lucy Gray’s lips are dry, but warm. She’d probably forgotten to take a drink once in a while.
~The peacekeepers kicked you out of the train station, but that was fine, you two preferred to celebrate somewhere more private anyway.
~You lay next to Lucy Gray in her bed while she admired every detail of your face, her fingers trailing over your skin lovingly.
~She’d sing to you, hold you, kiss you, tell you how much she loved you.
~Lucy Gray falls asleep first anyway, and you hold her till you fall asleep too.
~It’s the hardest you’ve ever slept in your whole life.
Authors note: I debated between Y/n just dying or actually living but decided I needed to write more. If anyone wants a bad ending let me know. 👹
Also, I’m now taking requests for Lucy Gray because she’s the loml and I need more ideas for scenarios.

Treech dating headcannons
My opinions on how treech would be like in a relationship, in and out of the hunger games, meaning lamina didn't get picked!
kiss me is playing rn, It's so his song yall Trust!
Um... accidentally made a bit of a fanfic rather then a headcannon oneshot... oops??
Warnings: none really just bad Grammer and maybe spelling mistakes as it's like almost 1am and I'm too tired to look over this
Tumblr media
before the hunger games back in D7
Tumblr media
Treech and you met in grade school back when treech talked a whole lot more
Treech definitely was a big talker up until he hit twelve years old. He hardened a bit more and started working, being pulled out of school like a lot of kids his age usually did, like how you did.
You two shared your first kiss in a tree at the ripe age of twelve, that's when treech finally seemed to get what his father and mother would always tell him about meeting the right girl, how he'd want to cherish and protect her from everything and everyone
Just like how he felt right now looking at you with his small hands on yours, beet red in the cheeks just looking at you
Looking away as he thought back on his father's words, he now understood him better to a point still he couldn't fully grasp the whole thing but all that mattered to him was making you smile that big smile you always did when he made silly faces or when he picked up big logs of wood (not very big but still)
"Treech, when you meet the right girl-" his father started, but treech interrupted him like always his face scrunched up in disgust likr how boys usually acted when on the topic of girls at twelve "EW! I don't need a girl!" But treechs father just laughed at his son before continuing ruffling treechs hair a bit as the boy huffed. "You'll want to change to protect her. You'll want to spend every waking moment with her... you'll understand when your older" treech looked up at his dad with confusion, not quite understand what he meant in that moment
You worked for your father's lumber yard people sold you wood for coins, your father usually was there working the shop as you carved small little trinkets in the corner of the shop, treech would come in and sell the wood he had. Most of the time, if he had any free time in that moment, he'd come and sit next to you, watching you carve a small bird. He watched you intently smiling at your flustered face when you couldn't get the angle just right admiring your features from. The chair
When he relized his feelings for you after that kiss he started working not long after, his parents like many others pulling him out of school to go and chop wood for a living a 'lumberjack' was what you called him
And soon after he started callin you 'carver' for your wood carvings
He didn't speak much after that kiss but he seemed to spend every second of his free time to just stay by your side, even going as far as to put your shoes back on your feet when you'd take them off to run in a lake, making you blush and look away thanking him under your breath missing his slight smirk and dark eyes looking at you like you where his whole world.
He knew what his father truly meant by and even more wanting to devote himself to her and wanting for you to do the same for him.
It has taken a few years but finally you two got together when you were fourteen when you couldn't take it anymore and had run up to treech one day in the rain taking him by the shoulders and screaming your feelings at him.
You two where almost inseparable, it made your father smile as he saw you happily chatting away with your lover boy at the counter though he did always have to walk over and tell you to get back to work cuz chatting away with your lumberjack ain't making money you'd sigh and kiss treechs cheek before waving bye to him watching him quickly walk out the door ears slightly red.

The reapings and meeting the tributes
You had heared the man from the capital you couldn't remeber his name buy you did know that his clothes looked expensive, making you grit your teeth at how he smiled whilst talking about a literal death game they forced children to participate and die in.
You stood still as he called the female tribute first
The man on the stage cleared his mouth as he spoke Into the sqeaky mic flinching back a little at the noises the mic made before saying the female tribute of your district "Lamina" He spoke into the mic making your head spin around to a girl that was shaking like a leaf. She was a red haired girl just a year younger then you making you bit your lip as she shakingly walked out of the line the girls all stood in slowly walking up the dirt path looking around until her eyes met your own making you gulp before speaking up impulsively "i.. Lamina! I volunteer as tribute!" You hadn't thought that through at all. All you were thinking about were those scared eyes knowing she wouldnt last long in the arena or at least you thought she wohldnt, you didnt get to see the relieved look lamina had before you were grabbed and dragged onto the stage not getting the chance to walk your feet being dragged in the dirt the man in the fancy outfit looking surprised at you before coughing a bit and continuing
treechs' name got called soon after everyone was done being shocked at your 'stunt' or rather your act of compassion and pure kindness. You felt a tear drop down your cheek as you stared over at him from the other side of the stage, accidentally catching him looking at you with a terrified but also almost angry look
Treech didn't get the chance to say anything
You two where sitting in the old dirty train, your back against treechs front as you let tears fall down your cheeks at the situation you had just out yourself in.. almost regretting your choice to volunteer, almost.
Treech gad helped you out of the cattle car holding out his hand for you to use to hop out of the cattle car, he made sure you stuck to his side not letting his guard down looking around as the other tributes got out of the other parts of the cattle train or whatever you two had just been sitting for hours on.
You looked around and caught the gaze of a little girl and a boy next to her that only had one arm you waved at them the girl waving at you with a smile as the boy only nodded at you
Treech only stared at the others, not saying a word as he held your waist, tightening his grip when the Capitol guards would come too close to him and you
You two got ushered into another car along with the other district tributes, though you here seated next to the one-eyed boy from District 10. He'd been staring at you with his one eye his gaze harsh like he was trying to see if you where good enough to him the whole ride making you gulp and look away eyes back on treech and the District boy that snuck on the cart for who knows what
You had smirked when the boy had been pinned to the car wall by the tall boy named reaper, you already liked reaper you two had said a few sentences to each other 'surved him right capital filth.' You had thought as you clapped gleefully at this, treech gave you a look smirking. You two hadn't noticed that you both had caught the attention of a certain red-haired tribute
Tumblr media
Okay ima end it here. My hand hurts, but umm.. may do a part two if yall want one anyways I accidentally made a fic instead of a headcannon, my bad..

Chapter 1 - The Reaping
Y/N was filled with anticipation as she sat in the crowded hall, waiting for the Dean, Highbottom, to announce the mentors for the tributes.
The air was thick with tension as the speaker's voice boomed through the room, his eyes scanning the sea of faces before him.
Finally, he began to speak. "District one," he announced, his tone grave. "The boy goes to Livia Cardew, and the girl goes to Palmyra Monty."
As the words left his lips, the room erupted into a flurry of activity. The two mentors standing on either side of the speaker broke out into wide, triumphant smiles, no doubt thrilled to have secured what they considered to be the "best" tributes.
It angered her, why did they get the pick of the litter? They did have the best tributes, obviously they're the best. Why wouldn't they be? They're in District one. She sat there and glared at the two who just grinned widely.
Highbottom had coughed, surprisingly loudly which made everyone quiet down. "District two." She crossed her fingers tightly and looked up at the screens.
"Boy goes to Sejanus Plinth and the girl goes to Florus Friend."
She sat there and groaned but something caught her eye. She watched as Coriolanus congratulated Sejanus, everyone knew where Sejanus was really from. Sejanus didn't grin nor did he look happy, he looked angry. Was he angry that he had gotten a tribute from a good District?
"District three. Boy goes to Io Jasper and the girl goes to Urban Canville."
She sat there, waiting for her name to be called, hopefully next.
"District four." And he paused. What was wrong?
He coughed, loudly, yet again.
"Boy goes to Y/N L/N. Girl goes to Festus Creed." She knew everyone was now looking at the two of them but she ignored them and instead looked up at the screen to see her tribute.
It was a young boy who looked no older than thirteen, he was wearing a discoloured sweater vest, a pair of dirty jeans, a long-sleeved shirt and a blue hat. He has brown, medium-lengthed hair which was styled into a messy middle part.
She then quickly turned to the other screen to look at Festus' tribute, it was an older girl, probably around sixteen, and she looked a lot tougher than her tribute. She snarled at her classmate, hating how she got the weaker tribute. She quietly muttered a curse under her breath.
Highbottom started again. "District five. Boy goes to-"... he trailed off. She wasn't listening anymore, she sat there thinking about her tribute and how he was going to be the reason she won't win the plinth prize. She sulked.
"District 12. Boy goes to Lysistrata Vickers and the girl goes to... she goes to Coriolanus Snow." Her head snapped up at the name and she looked at him. He looked displeased, almost provoked. She had a small smirk on her face as she watched him tense up when he looked at his tribute on the screen.
... Was she an idiot? Why would she put a snake down that girls dress? A fool. I winced as she got punched to the floor. She quickly got up, though and walked up to the microphone on the stage.
"...Nothing you can take from me was ever worth keeping. Nothing you can take was ever worth keeping." The girl shakily sang to the crowd, following on from a younger girl in the crowd.
My head turned away from the screen due to the sound of Arachne mocking Coriolanus and the poor girl. Sure, I didn't like Coriolanus but God did I despise Arachne.
My head turned back to the screen. "You can't take my charm... can't take my humour. Can't take my wealth cause it's just a rumour. Nothing you can take... was ever worth keeping. You can't take my sass, you can't take my talking."
She stopped for a few seconds, looking at the camera.
"You can kiss my ass!" She screamed as loud as she could. And just before she left, she did some kind of bow. How weird...

☆ ~ you don’t have to fight anymore
pairing: platonic!mizzen x district 5!reader summary: while you’re stuck in the cage you offer to be someones pillow for the night—or which mizzen ditches coral to get some well earned rest, maybe even a friend. but friendships don’t make it that far when it’s all for themselves. warnings: bonding (at first), canon violence, death, some language, uploaded via iphone, this was in my drafts for too long so i uploaded it :0
Tumblr media
when he first approached you you’d felt fear, it wasn’t a secret that his district partner was one of the scariest tributes in here and your position didn’t really make you trust others that easily. but when you looked over you could sense he wasn’t planning to harm you, him looking more scared than you as he approached.
you were quiet as he stood infront of you, eyes directed away from his form to hopefully encourage him to spill the reason he came. but only after a few moments you couldn’t stand the awkward silence any longer, “with coral’s tight grip on you i never thought you’d ever make any connections with anyone but her.”
mizzen’s eyes embarrassedly shot down to his feet, your tone letting him know this was already a bad idea, “well i- just wanted to talk to you, it kinda gets boring talking to one person all the time.” at that your eyes softened a little, reminded that the other tributes you’d soon be against we’re around your age - mizzen looking like he were one of the youngest - and were all coping in different ways.
“right, sorry,” you shot him an embarrassed smile before patting the open spot next to you, “here, to make up for the bad first impression i made.”
he shot a sideways smile in thanks, making himself at home on the uncomfortable rock you perched yourself on before nervously turning towards you. “what’s your name,” there was genuine curiosity on his face, making you both confused and appreciative in a way.
“(name),” you smiled for a short moment but then frowned as the awful thoughts of what’s to come poisoned your mind and shot down your elevated attitude from moments before, “what does it matter anyways? in a few days we’ll be fighting to the death, not caring about our opponents name or the life they had before.”
“oh,” hurt blossomed across his face, sitting in silence for a bit as he pondered what to say back, “it matters because our names are the only thing we can keep, the rest of our life stripped away from us as soon as our names were called.”
“i know we’re all gonna die - that much is clear - but i just hoped i could know you all before that,” guilt bubbled back at the back of your throat again, his face scrunched up in a sad frown when you looked back at him.
“shit, m’sorry kid, things have just been overwhelming,” you finally turned towards him, averting your whole attention to the conversation, gesturing towards him as you muttered your next words, “and that doesn’t excuse my behavior, since you’re obviously handling it somewhat better than i am.”
you paused for a moment, “it just that, knowing eachother will only make it harder when one of us have to die,” a tinge of sadness in your gaze as you looked at the young boy.
“that’s true,” mizzen looks down at his hands, a tear slipping down his cheek as he tries his best to get it together, upset at how emotional getting reaped made him and not wanting others to find him as an easy target because of his open vulnerability, “ it’s just, maybe we don’t have to be enemies.”
his innocence made your heart hurt, “maybe not out here but in the arena you have much better chances with coral, so sometime along the way we’ll be on opposite sides.” not sparing any time after to change the subject.
“well I’m actually kinda glad you came,” you offered a smile, “it’s nice knowing that they’re people who care enough to ask those types of things regardless of the circumstances we’re in.” mizzen smiled in return - the drying tear tracks staining his cheeks - although halfway through it, it broke into a yawn.
“you should go rest with coral,” you gestured where she was, not hiding the fact she was watching our interaction, “don’t want her coming for my head before we even get into the arena by keeping you here.”
mizzen looked back at her before shrugging, “i don’t think i mean that much to her, she’s probably just watching to make sure i don’t betray her in the arena.”
that caused the words to die in your throat, not knowing how to respond, having to have him to continue the conversation, “could i just stay here for the night? I don’t want to go back.”
you nodded in response as a sense of protectiveness washing over you, “you can rest on my shoulder too if you want, i know that there isn’t much in here that’s comfier.” mizzen looked at you for a second, contemplating your offer before gently resting his head on you, muttering a little ‘thank you’ before he closed his eyes.
-
it didn’t have to end like this, it shouldn’t have ended like this. the guilt bubbling in his throat mixing with the bile that he had to force himself to hold back as he watched your body fall from the beam before landing with the harsh smack on the arena floor.
what’s worse was that he was apart of this.
although he knew coral was planning to kill you, did he have to be apart of the joint effort? couldn’t he have distracted her a bit or maybe messed up so you could get away? couldn’t have coral asked tanner or treech to do it with her instead?
his momentary shock was dissipated as coral called for him and the others, readying up to hunt lucy gray after catching her emptying the water bottles they had gathered prior to killing you.
he carefully climbed down from the beam before crouching at your body - making sure the others weren’t watching before continuing - to mutter the last message to you that’ll come from his lips, “rest, it’s your turn to dream now.” he paused for a moment before his shaking fingers gently shut your eyes closed.
before making his way to the others, he shot a sorrowful look over his shoulder one last time, knowing that soon he’ll either join you or he’ll have to live with the guilt of what he’d done.
-
a/n: uploading a treech fic soon! and completely disregard the fact that this wasn’t posted on saturday :0

Please do Mizzen x male reader, pref. romantic, but idc if it's headcannons or a one shot just make it cunty. Have fun w/ it lol xx
I kind of changed it since he's 13 but I saw ‘cunty’ and knew what to do.
Mizzen x male! Reader (platonic headcanons)
Tumblr media
Summary: basic headcanons of Mizzen before and during the Hunger Games __
Before the Games
If you're older than him, he does take the opportunity to recruit you into Coral's pack, mostly because you'd genuinely be useful, especially if you're very vocal about talents that could extend your survival in the arena.
At some point it grows into a friendship (similar to how he treats Tanner before his death), Mizzen especially cares for you if you're older than him. He thinks he's cooler for it because he's got older friends.
If you're around his age, he'll use the fact you're both young to become friends and bond. Mizzen will tell you about life in District Four and things he likes, wondering how different your life probably is in your District.
Mizzen does take pride in his abilities, so if he ever was asked to be taught how to use something like a trident properly, he would puff his chest so much from pure pride.
If he gets the opportunity to talk to you, he'll take it. Mizzen spends most of his time near Coral, whether that's because she's his district partner or because he wants to, it isn't important to know. He'll find a reason to be near without it seeming like he wants to be friends.
Mizzen has a habit of showing off to someone he wants to be friends with, showing cool things he can do with sticks that would play as tridents just to seem cooler.
During the Games
He's obviously more loyal to you if you're older and if you do a lot for Coral. Mizzen does care about you, but Coral has a definite chance of never betraying him for herself.
The friendship doesn't play as much of a role in the arena, mostly because he needs to survive and for basic reasons. But also because of something going wrong and Coral deciding you aren't important anymore would be less painful if he didn't want to care for you.
Mizzen does care about you but if you have to die, oh well. He cares about you but there's only one winner and he doesn't know you long enough to know if you'd hurt him or not if the opportunity arose.
Though the friendship is toned down, he does talk to you one to one about things you both like. It's more of a comfort for himself, thinking about the people he has at home and the things he'll get when he goes back to District Four. Another part is out of genuine interest, wanting to know what you are going to get going home.
A part of Mizzen does hope you die from someone or something else other than him or Coral, mainly because how much he's talked to you has affected him into caring about you.

This was lowkey difficult to make since I didn't know too much about his character. But so sorry it took so long to answer!!

Can you do Treech and Lamina (Se prate, in case you were wondering) with a VERY friendly S/O, like they wanna make friends with all the other tributes, coral, mizzen, and all, and are generally a very bright, bubbly person who likes to comfort people??
Thank you!! Have a good day!
Very excited to write for both since I haven't officially!!
Treech x friendly! Gender neutral! Reader x Lamina (separate romantic headcanons)
Tumblr media
Summary: Reader is a very kind and outgoing person, entire headcanons for both Treech and Lamina (separate and romantic).
__
Lamina:
She's a very quiet and sad tribute, so to go into the Hunger Games with her lover is so much worse for her. She would have sobbed about you not being reaped and how she would have tried harder getting home if you weren't reaped with her.
But Lamina can't control what name is pulled and at some point, accepts that.
Your sweet spirits do help her a lot but doesn't stop her from crying consistently. But it's better than constantly.
Once you both got to the monkey house, she would sit near one of the rocks, keeping to herself and keeping herself alive.
Lamina rarely left the small area she kept at, but she left it to pull you away from making friends with the other tributes. It was more so the idea you were bothering them, and she didn't want you creating enemies on accident.
She would say something about not bothering them and "think of the situation we are in". Lamina's anxiety about the entire situation you were both in caused her to ignore the fact the other tributes did enjoy your presence. Many being fond of your kindness, especially people like Lucy Gray, who was just as high spirited as you.
It happened several times more, her pulling you from making a scene out of habit, trying to befriend others just for the sake of it. At some point, she stopped trying and accepted the fact that you were becoming friends with several tributes and gaining attention in the Capital for such friendliness.
__
Treech:
Treech had a similar reaction to Lamina, feeling terrible that you were reaped with him. He didn't have as much of a visceral reaction, like sobbing his eyes out but he's still sad about it.
He would keep you as close as possible, trying to make sure you don't run off with other tributes because you wish to be allies.
But he doesn't mind when you become friends with the District Eight tributes while on the train. He thought it was sweet how nice you were with Wovey.
He knew for a long while that you were very friendly and outgoing since he had dated you long before the reaping. So, it isn't a surprise that you try talking to the other tributes.
Treech would only be around you when you have free time, find food, and during the night. The other times are when he's trying to find plants to eat within the enclosure or when he tries juggling small stones for food.
As time goes on, to entertain yourself outside of finding plants, you'd go around talking to Capital citizens and other tributes. Treech wouldn't be as willing to pull you away since he knew you wouldn't get hurt from both groups.
At the end of the day, you accidentally brought attention to yourself, but it ended in being fed. So, Treech didn't mind it too much.
__ Not extremely romantic, so sorry!

flicker in the dark → coral
Tumblr media
coral!tbosas x reader
notes → in which you meet the tribute you will be mentoring, and she turns out to be something you never would’ve expected. feminine intended reader though i do not know if pronouns are brought up.
warnings → y’all, she is so over the top ooc… (i molded her character after vi from arcane lol 🙈) not edited & uploaded via iphone!! i also haven’t written in months lol
trailing behind your fellow mentor and dear friend, lysistrata vickers, you couldn’t help but grow anxious of the impending meeting with the tribute you had been assigned. nearing the zoo where the tributes were being kept in this year, your heart rate sped up. the practice of mentoring a tribute was something that had never been done before, so nerves were on edge. and on top of that, the thought of the twenty-four district children being kept on display in a monkey house was enough to make you shiver with disgust. though, it was not much better than the horse stables they had been kept in prior to this year. if you were lucky, your tribute would be willing to cooperate with you like coriolanus’ girl, lucy gray, had. thoughts swamped your brain as lyssie dragged you to the front of the cage, about to part ways with you to find her respective tribute, the hulking district twelve boy.
“y/n, you have nothing to lose here. we’re simply here to help them get through this as easily and… painlessly as possible,” she said, muttering the last phrase with underlying bitterness. both lysistrata and yourself were not fans of the hunger games. the prospect of dehumanizing and stripping the rights, as well as dignity, away from children your own age was safe to say, unappealing. with the war long over, shouldn’t the killing have ended by now too?
“i know, lyssie, i just…” you paused, averting your gaze, “don’t know if i’ll be able to face her knowing what she’s about to go through. to think she’s our age, too… it’s… i don’t know how i can even help her.” you couldn’t find the words to accurately form your thought, but lysistrata understood.
“i get it, i do. just show her what you brought her.” lysistrata patted you on the back and wandered towards the side of the enclosure that her tribute resided in. it didn’t take long to spot your tribute, who’s name you learned to be coral. her fiery red hair could be pinpointed from a mile away.
you sighed, slowly walking up to the metal bars of the enclosure. “coral?” you tried, catching the attention of some tributes sitting closer to the bars, but not coral. pausing, you pursed your lips and tried again, calling out for her louder. this got the attention of her district partner, mizzen, who nudged coral. she looked up at mizzen and he nodded towards you. unsure of what exactly to do as they both glared at you, you waved sheepishly. coral gave a look to mizzen, then stood, striding over to where you were standing.
as she reached the bars, you had to shift your gaze upwards to look her in the eye. “and who might you be, doll face?” she asked, her tone condescending as she eyed you up and down.
“hi, i’m y/n, i’ll be your mentor for the games.” you stuck your hand through the bars to her and attempted to introduce yourself, but realized that the hand you had offered was holding the bag of items that you had brought for her. you quickly placed it down for a second to properly shake her hand, only for her to ignore the gesture and continue to stare expectantly.
“mendor, huh? so rainbow girl was right after all.” you nodded in agreement, assuming she was referring to lucy gray. “so what are you gonna do for me?” you paused, thinking of the best way to put it.
“i’m going to try my best to help you win. and take care of you, of course.” the look she gave you made you think you had three heads, and you shrunk under her gaze.
“i’m sorry, sweetheart, but how are you going to help me?” she almost laughed.
“well, my job as a mentor is to introduce you to the public, to make you more appealing so that people will want to watch the games.” you explained.
“appealing, huh. am i not already?” coral asked mockingly, criticizing your choice of words. she moved forward to grip to bars and stooped down boldly to be eye to eye with you. you stuttered, quickly looking away in embarrassment.
“i mean- yes- but that wasn’t what i meant, really!” you quickly tried, but she simply laughed at you. regaining her posture, she glanced at the bag you had set on the floor.
“and what’s this?” she queried, urging you to pick it up and show her.
“i brought you some food!” you offered, “you should really eat if you want to make it into the arena with enough strength to fight.” you tried, which was a dumb, obvious statement, but it seemed like a safe bet.
“i appreciate the sentiment, sweetheart. but you don’t know what i need and don’t need.” despite the nickname, her tone was brimmed with hostility. you didn’t blame her for refusing the food, your very essence reeked of privilege, and you could tell she wasn’t one to accept pity favors. the stark contrast of your ironed uniform and manicured nails next to her unwashed attire and nails covered in dirt was off putting. you could not imagine how she felt being here, being forced to play a losing game. and on top of that, the ones who had put her in this position claimed to want to help her. the war was hard for everybody, but your family had managed to pick itself back up off of it’s feet. on the other hand, families in the district had to pay the price for lives they did not take.
“i’m just trying to help, coral, really. these games are- they’re horrible. if i had a choice i wouldn’t participate. but i don’t. so the least i could do is help you get through them.” you spilled your opinion to her in hopes that she would accept the sustenance. picking the bag up off of the ground, you unzipped it, allowing her to take a look at the food you had brought.
stuffed full of homemade chicken and cheese sandwiches, as well as some other miscellaneous foods sitting closer to the bottom, it was evident you had spent time trying to organize food for her to have. she glanced at the bag, then whipped her head around towards mizzen, calling him towards her. he approached and she showed him the arrangement of foods. you saw his eyes light up and you couldn’t help but feel helpful, as small a gesture as it was.
“i don’t know if they’ve fed you or not, but…” you trailed off, allowing them to take a few of the sandwiches and an abundance of fruit, as well as a hardboiled egg or two. peering around at the rest of the tributes, some of which had been staring at the bag of food, you realized that if you were to give them the whole contents of the bag now, others would try to steal some. and while that was not necessarily a bad thing, considering your guilt for them in this situation, you had made these strictly for coral, and mizzen was just a part of the package. “coral, maybe you should eat these now. i don’t think it’s the greatest idea to hand over all of the food right now.” you suggested. she quickly realized what you meant and plopped down to the floor, egg in mouth and mizzen close behind. as you looked down at her sitting criss-cross in shock, she gestured for you to take a seat as well. it was like a picnic of some sorts. the odd, repulsive sort of one, but a picnic nonetheless.
the pair made no effort to make conversation as they chowed down their food, and you couldn’t blame them. you twiddled your thumbs in silence for a solid twelve minutes before anyone had spoken up. scoping out the rest of the tributes, you realized that coral was a very strong contender compared to some of the other girls. the thought that the odds may be in her favor brought a smile to your face. “thanks, cupcake.” coral was already on her feet before you could even process the statement. you stood, dusting the dirt off of your uniform before smiling at coral.
“it’s what i’m here for. i’ll try to check in as much as i can. there’s some events that the gamemakers are planning, too. they want to hold one on one mentor-tribute interviews, a tour of the arena, as well as an additional interview that will be aired to panem.” you informed her and mizzen, who made sure to stand close by.
“so this won’t be the last i see of you?” she asked.
“most definitely not.” you confirmed, nodding.
“good.” she winked, turning away with mizzen in tow. from the interaction, she proved to be quite the enigma. despite her circumstances, she still had a confident, collected, and enticing aura about her, leaving you in awe, if not more.

bestie… may i ask for literally anything with coral from tbosas? i just watched the movie and i keep thinking about her like just general romantic hcs or smth… anything
I literally love Coral, she is so cool and so cunty.
Coral x Gender neutral! Reader (romantic headcanon)
Tumblr media
This is specifically for the Games, the reader can either replace Mizzen as her district partner or be from a different district entirely
She is so fine it's not even funny
While waiting for the Hunger Games to begin, all the tributes stayed in the monkey house. Which many viewed as salvation because they didn't die the day they came to the Capital. Coral would take the opportunity to learn more about you (if you aren't from the same district)
She has a specific tone she uses when she doesn't know if her feelings are reciprocated by you. It's a harsh tone, her normal rudeness but a hint of love she saves for you and you alone. The only other person she spoke so kindly to was Mizzen but that was because he was so young. You, she's grown a fondness of
During the tour of the arena, she immediately called you, either calling your name or a special nickname she made for you. Of course, if you're still in the stage between getting together and not understanding each other's feelings then she would make her nickname a joke
“Sweetheart”, “Gorgeous”, any nickname she can pass off as a joke but she means it. Coral cannot deny you're gorgeous
She is a very demanding person, especially in the arena or anytime before the Games. Her wanting to team up is more of a statement than a request
But Coral is kind in specific ways. Tending to the water that Lucy Gray’s mentor sent in was your job. It was much kinder since she didn't want you getting swung at by Lamina while trying to attack her
Affection is more common before and during the Games. She needs to know where you are and at least have you next to her. Handholding is a more common affection in the zoo than in the arena since she needs empty hands
Another affection used mainly in the zoo is holding each other. Let it be under the guise you need comfort or not, she wants that closeness
But in the arena, kisses and holding each other (when you have a split second of free time) are the most prominent. The kisses she shares with you are mostly quick pecks, not as long and tender as she would prefer

This was lowkey short, I’m sorry!

Me x Coral frfr
Coral x gender neutral! Reader (romantic headcanons)
Tumblr media
Summary: romantic headcanons with Coral and gender neutral! Reader
Contains: lowkey toxic Coral, headcanons intermixed for District Four, before, and during the Games

Coral doesn't treat her partners any differently than she would anyone else, only difference is being able to kiss her lover. Doesn't mean she isn't as aggressive with her partners, it's not very fun when she's being rough, especially with her strength.
Growing up in a violent environment, doesn't lead to healthy viewings of love, notably when people have killed each other to feed themselves. So, don't expect her to have an extremely healthy view of love with you.
That doesn't mean she isn't kind to you. She does gain a softer tone and touch when you have her full attention.
Coral isn't vocal about love other than calling you romantic names she finds funny. Watching your nose scrunch from annoyance because of the name she would give you would always make her laugh.
She is more likely to physically show affection than vocally. Holding hands is good but kissing is one of her favourites.
Brings you things that remind her of you, like a cat. Before her time in the arena, she would spend her day at the docks. Her free time full of sitting in the watery sand and picking out the shells she liked. And Coral would bring them home and properly clean them to gift them to you.
Of course, she expects more if she gifts them to you but it's mostly just a kiss per shell. Nothing too expensive, it's not like you weren't going to kiss her for the gifts alone. So, she might as well get more from it.
If you're both tributes, Coral will treat you differently if you aren't from the same district, mainly because she doesn't know you enough and she can't always trust you, even if she holds more affection for you than others.
One of the things that comes with getting power over others is becoming manipulative. And the same happens with Coral. It's not a slow reveal, it's a very quick and obvious sign from the beginning, she knows what she's doing and doesn't care. As long as her or you/Mizzen get home, she doesn't care what she has to do.
It wouldn't be far off if she chose to abuse the power over you or others in the group (if you're from a different District). But Coral wouldn't hold romantic things over the other tributes, unlike how she would with you.
Her holding things like getting the water or food would be 'paid' with a kiss for either. If you genuinely feel love for each other, she'll be gentler about it, doing it with a soft smile.
If you were in the Games with her and were from the same District, she would treat you far better than the other tributes. Speaking softly to you simply because she had a softness for you long before the Hunger Games.

The headcanon of Coral becoming greedier with her power was actually from someone talking about the cut parts of the move, she was supposed to be more manipulative.
