Lando stirs as the sunlight creeps past the curtain. He rolls over and buries his face into the pillow as he tries to will himself back to sleep. Stretching his arm out he sighs contently as he settles back down in bed before he turns his head. Opening his eyes slowly he blinks slightly when he realizes that you’re not in bed next to him. Frowning slightly, Lando stares at the empty spot next to him as he finally rolls onto his back as he finally hears the faint sound of Christmas music from downstairs. Forcing himself out of bed, Lando grabs the first pair of sweatpants off the ground and puts them on as he ventures out of the bedroom.
“Woah.” Lando murmurs to himself seeing the hall decorated. Holiday scented candles and bowls are on the small table as well as a little Christmas village now stands on the black nightstand that typically held Lando’s mini helmets. Stepping closer Lando can’t help but laugh gently seeing that you had incorporated a few mini helmets within the village. He makes his way downstairs, mindful of the garland (with lights within the garland) that wraps around the railing as the music gets louder.
“Y/N?” Lando calls out.
“Living room!”
Lando pads into the living room and stops. His eyes fall on you, bent over one of the boxes pulling out decorations as a smirk crosses the Brit’s face. Making his way over quietly, Lando stands behind you before grabbing your hips and pulling you back against him. “Lando!” You squeal gently with a giggle and his smirk grows wider when you try to pull away as he pulls you back against him, “Be careful now, love. Wouldn’t want you falling over or anything. But don’t you worry, I got you from riiiiight here.” He offers an innocent smile when you stand up and look over your shoulder to glare playfully at him before he wiggles his brows.
“Lando. It’s,” You turn your head to read the digital clock before looking back, “just reaching ten in the morning. Can’t you wait till I finish?” Lando hums when you gently grab his chin and pull him in to smother him in kisses while moving his hand and grabbing your ass and grins when you squeak. “What’s the fun in that? Besides, you've already got the upstairs done. Speaking of, how long have you been at this?”
“Barely. I did what I could without waking you before I decided to work downstairs. I’ve been up since,” you think, “7ish?”
“7!?” Lando reels back slightly in surprise, “why are you up so early?! Isn’t it your day off?”
“Yeah but,” you shrug, “force of habit waking up early and couldn’t fall asleep again so I decided to decorate,” you explain as you turn to properly face your boyfriend. You giggle as Lando shifts and you feel his half hard on pressing against your inner thigh. Tipping your head slightly, you hum as Lando murmurs something about ‘taking a quick break’ and ‘being able to help with that’ as he kisses your neck, causing you to shiver and dig your nails into his biceps. “Mmm,” Lando hums against your skin, “it seems like you want to take a break.”
You let your eyes slip close and bite down on your bottom lip. It was such a tempting offer but when your eyes open and land on the many boxes. It helps you find your resolve as you gently drag your nails down his neck and shoulders to his chest before patting his chest and pulling back. “As much as I appreciate the offer, these decorations are not going to go up by themselves.” You hum softly while kissing his cheek and turning.
Lando groans loudly and tries to pull you back to him but you’re faster. He huffs before pouting while staring at you. His eyes fall on your ass once again and he licks his lips gently trying his hardest to behave. By behaving he really means trying to figure out what’s the quickest way you’ll let him pin you to the nearest surface and sink into your warm cu–
“Landoooooo.”
Green eyes meet yours as he blinks and shakes his head out a bit. “I’m sorry love, what did you say?”
You giggle softly while tilting your head slightly as you study your boyfriend. “I asked if you wanted to help but it seems that you’re a bit distracted…” your voice trails off as you look down at the evident hard on outlined by his sweatpants before flicking your gaze back up to Lando.
Lando smirks slightly as he raises a brow. Lando wants nothing more than to let his dick do all the thinking and talking but glancing at the boxes littering the living room, his dick would have to take a back seat. He couldn’t stomach the thought of you putting up all the decorations by yourself. You had already done so much with the upstairs for the past three hours and you had a long way to go.
“Let me shower and I’ll be right back to help you.” Lando decides and gently grabs your wrist and pulls you in for a quick forehead kiss. He starts to walk backwards as he pulls you with him trying so hard to coax you, “unless you want a quick shower from working soooo hard. You deserve such a long and hot shower.” He grins seeing you following him before he stops and pouts when you pull your wrist away, giggling. “Good try, Mr. Norris but not this time.” You wink and Lando watches you for a moment with a fond smile before heading up to shower.
You hum along to your music as the shower runs in the background. You stop because you swear you hear a moan and listen before laughing breathlessly as you shake your head slightly. “Fucking minx,” you murmur fondly because you do hear moaning. It seems Lando is taking care of his little “distraction” and is making it very clear you know that too. In retaliation to keep your will strong you turn the music up to drown out Lando’s moans.
You move about the living room and kitchen with ease as you clean and decorate. You hum gently as you go through the boxes and lay everything out. “Wow.” Lando says as he comes over to you sitting on the floor among everything. You look up as Lando is drying his hair as he looks down at everything. “Thinking of where you want everything?”
“Yeah.” You look back, “I don’t know. Nothing’s really jumping out to me, you know? It’s our first Christmas together and I want it to be special but I just…have nothing.”
Lando nods and hums as he squats down next to you. “I see. Well, why don’t we do something with my helmets.” Lando looks at you smiling, “like what you did upstairs with my mini helmets in the village which by the way, is so freaking adorable.” You stare at your boyfriend before grabbing his face gently. “Oh my god babe! You’re a genius!” You grin as Lando blushes slightly as he smiles, “I am?” He tilts his head.
“Yes! It’s been right in front of us! Babe, we can have an F1 Christmas!”
Lando looks up as he grins, “Yes! Oh my god! We can use the rest of the mini helmets and maybe find some F1 themed decorations but,” digging through, “we could use the garland for the time being. Maybe we can get those Christmas lights that change color.” He digs through, “oh! Here’s some table cloths we could decorate and maybe we can take different bits from your various Christmas villages–do you get gifted these often?” “Yes. I think they’re neat.” “Noted, anyway! We can make our own little track and paddock from whatever circuit you want.” Lando stands up looking at you. “What do you think?”
“I think that’s perfect!”
“Great!” Lando clasps his hand softly, “let’s get started, shall we?” You grin softly and nod as the two of you sit down and start going through all the decorations, picking and choosing what you guys want. When the afternoon starts rolling around Lando so graciously gets dressed and the bag of outside decorations to decorate while you have been doing some arts and crafts. You have your tongue sticking out while painting one of the village people as Lando passes by, kissing your forehead, and venturing to decorate outside. When you finished painting you move to make paper snowflakes while they dried before you took to decorating the kitchen.
The doorbell system chimes when the front door opens about half an hour later before it slams shut. “Sorry!” Lando shouts as he shuffles into the kitchen all bundled up. “It’s so fucking windy but I got the decorations up.” He smiles when you pass a mug of hot chocolate into his hands and sips it, groaning in relief as the warmth spreads through him. God, just what he needed. Lando finally takes this chance to look around. “Wow! Babe, this is great.”
You look up and smile. You turned the kitchen into a little town square deal. You decided to get crafty and made paper snowflakes and colored them the different colors of the teams. The counter and kitchen island was littered with different villages with people. Some ice skating, some walking, and some shopping. Lando looks closely at your creation and laughs seeing that you had spent your time during the snowflake creation; you had also taken people from the village and painted over their clothes. You come over and giggle softly holding a mug of chocolate, “aren’t they cute? The employees deserve a break too you know,” you tease as Lando laughs louder as he leans back before sipping his hot chocolate. “Oh darling, it's wonderful. Do you need help with anything else?”
“Not really. I ordered some decorations for the living room and stairs and for the Christmas tree.” You pause as you sip your own hot chocolate, “which I also ordered. I hope you didn’t want a real tree because we’re getting a fake one.”
“God no I should not be trusted with a real tree. Fake one is perfect. When is everything coming?”
“It says by tomorrow night. I’m thinking we can circle back over the weekend to finish?” You ask and Lando nods as he sips his hot chocolate. “Perfect.”
Once Lando changes, the two of you settle down on the couch and watch some TV. Your gaze wanders often to your boyfriend, admiring him. His face is still flushed from being outside and you let your eyes wander to his biceps and those sweatpants. Those fucking sweatpants. Standing up you announce that you’re going to change and disappear to your shared bedroom.
“Oh Lando!” Lando brings his gaze away from the TV and his eyes nearly pop out of his head as his jaw falls open. You’re standing in the doorway in lingerie but fuck him was it even lingerie. It was bright red and thin. The bra was a bow that just barely covers your chest with a matching g-string that leaves such little to the imagination. Lando’s mouth goes dry as he forces his jaw shut as he wets his lips. “Hm?” Lando asks as his gaze is brought back to your face and he sees your lips moving. “I said, since you did an excellent job helping me decorate you get to open one of your Christmas presents early.” You wink before squealing and trying to book it back to the bedroom as Lando pounces. He’s got you by the waist, lips attacking your neck as you two stumble to the bedroom.
“Best Christmas present. Ever.”

And... when you look at Lip and Grant... if you ask me, Sparky has a type...?
And... I think Martin is the only one who touched Speirs willingly (and was not ofered a smoke).
So. Yeah.
Tbh, personally, I've read about the "Dog company plotted to shoot Speirs" and cackled thinking how Sparky was the one who created this gossip. Don't fight me on it.
But it's cute how Easy adopted him. Minus Tab. Who... is special kind of... Winters' fangirl. Sometimes I wonder if Dick was as oblivious about Tab and his feelings as he was about his own feelings for Nixon.
I'm sorry but I have so many thought on this right now so this is me going on a tangent that I've been holding in for three days. The "Speirs was shot in the ass by his own men as a warning because they felt the Germans might retaliate for his nighttime swimmies across the Rhine or because of that Sergeant he shot on D-day." leaves me to ask---
1- Who is taking this shot in the dark across the river and just shooting him in the ass? Okay, so the river is about 500ft where he probably crossed. Less than 150 yards for a shot with iron sights isn't that hard, but in the dark? In the ass? According to his Silver Star paperwork he was on the way back and got shot? You hitting him in the rubber boat from the wrong direction in the dark? Firing on him when you're on a patrol to the river bank which you might not want to give away your position? Mihok who found him on shore said he had to drag him back to the MLR. You guys had bigger problems if you were shooting your Lt. on this trip.
2- Plus this is guy who is known for not having a problem shooting his own guys (which is why you're shooting him) and he's vindictive and might retaliate. So...not to apply my own ghetto logic to this, but why are you opening yourself up to that retaliation from the guy slicing throats across the river and not just kill him while he's crossing and let the current take his body downstream and blame it on his hobby or the enemy? Why do you think he's going to come back with a band-aid on his ass and say "Upon reflection, I am sorry I overreacted when Sgt Insubordination pulled a gun on me. Please accept these cigarettes as a gift showing my remorse."
3- Ample opportunity to get him with friendly fire by Holland if you guys really felt he was worth taking out.
4- His company got this preview of the "I'll just run over there and look." and was like 'This is our chance to get rid of him' which was not anywhere near the moan Lipton let out watching him run across Foy. Dog CO. got Swimming Sparky and just watched. Gossiped? Talked about how they were the ones who shot him? According to the official he was coming back and got nailed in the ass...according to the gossip they shot him when he got to the other side.
5- Makes me think of those comments about him with Red Cross girls and thinking that I too would be like 'Night guys! Going across the river to kill some Germans' and end up in some girls bed all night and come back in the morning well fucked and the guys would be all "Look how pleased he is with murder!!" Who's going to come look for you? Nobody.
6- Dog Co Shooting him in the ass---That will teach him.
Ron 'Vindictive bitch' Speirs coming back to the line after being in the hospital- "My ass hurts. :( And I have to pee. :(("
Easy Co finding out he was shot in the ass----THE prophecy is fulfilled! Our new CO has arrived to lead us out of hell.
It's honestly a lot of options for a fun 'unreliable narrator' fic. I've been wanting to do one of those with different POVs and wildly different stories for a long time.
AND Yeah, Sparky with his type. Should toss Derwood Cann "Mr. Perfect" in there too, the guy who dubbed him 'Sparky', who was the Captain of G company. When they were back in NC Sparky challenged him to a fight and got his ass kicked. I think they went to FT. Benning officer's advanced courses together too? Cann's report and Speirs. And Gordy Carson who was partying with Sparky and driving around in Goering's car with him.

[Russian Forces target a Ukrainian gun truck using the latest generation of Lancet drone]
🇷🇺🇺🇦 🚨 💥UPDATE ON THE RUSSO-UKRAINIAN WAR, EVENTS OF DAY 625💥
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Russian air defenses working in the SVO Zone destroyed one MiG-29 belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF), Intercepted 5-HIMARS shells, and destroyed 38 UAVs.
In the South Donetsk direction:
Russian Forces are very heavily bombing Ukrainian positions, ammo depots, concentrations of manpower and equipment in Konstiantynivka and Katerynivka.
According to video evidence, Russian Forces were using FAB500 guided bombs to target a Ukrainian ammo depot in Konstiantynivka.
A second video geolocated to Katerynivka shows the successful targeting of a Ukrainian artillery system in this area.
In the north of Mykilske, Russian Forces launched a series of waves of attacks using a variety of MLRS, bombs, drones and artillery before launching ground operations in this area, however the results of Russian operations in Mykilske have not yet been confirmed.
Russian Forces were also using FPV drones to target Ukrainian positions on the eastern outskirts of Vuhledar.
In the Vremivka salient direction:
In the Velyka Novosilka area, Russian Forces used a Lancet drone to successfully target a Ukrainian vehicle on the western flank of the village.
Russian Forces were conducting operations on the western flank of Urazhainoye and Makarivka in recent days, however evidence from this area is lacking.
In the Avdiivka/Donetsk direction:
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian Forces as a result of fighting in the Donetsk direction lost 305 soldiers.
On the north of Avdiivka, Russian Forces have taken the eastern area of Stepove, establishing control over the first streets of the village and launching clearing operations in the eastern residential areas according to both Russian and Ukrainian sources and published videos.
The Ukranian Armed Forces (UAF) published two videos evidencing the Russian advance in this area.
In one published video, Ukrainian Forces were bombing and shelling recently captured Russian positions inside the village of Stepove, followed by an assault by a lone armored vehicle, working on Russian positions using machine gun fire before quickly retreating to continue bombing using FPV drones.
In a second Ukrainian video, a single Ukrainian Leopard MBT and a single Bradley assault positions recently captured by Russian Forces along the railways north of Stepove, however this video was published out of context, and took place before the events in Stepove.
In the south of Avdiivka, Russian Forces launched further offensive operations from the south and southeast of Avdiivka towards the city, improving their positions according to Russian sources, however video evidence is lacking at the moment.
Russian Forces published video showing their work pummeling Ukrainian fortified positions in the southern residential outskirts of Avdiivka, heavily bombing and shelling the same area Russian sources now claim their Forces are attacking towards at this moment.
A second line of attack comes directly to the south of the city, in the direction of Sobornai Street on the southern outskirts.
Russian sources published video of the Russian Airborne Forces heavily bombing Ukrainian fortified positions near the Sobornai Street area and the southern Avidiivka residential areas using a variety of bombs, missiles, and Multiple Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS), targeting fortified trench networks, tunnels, equipment and other fortified positions.
Another published video showed Russian Forces in the area targeting the area of the bridge on the southern part of Sobornai Street using some kind of delayed munition with a large explosion, supposed to house machine gun nests and other firing positions of Ukrainian Forces.
In the west of Avdiivka, in the vicinity of Tonenke, Russian Forces targeted a Ukrainian t-64 MBT north of the village along the treelines.
No other updates from this area, positional fighting continues. In the east of Avdiivka, Ukrainian Forces published a video of the successful targeting of a concentration of Russian armored vehicles using HIMARS MLRS in northeastern Donetsk, in the forest line areas in the vicinity of the village of Krynychna.
Ukrainian Forces were also heavily bombing Russian positions using FPV drones to bomb Russian supply roads in the vicinity of Verkhnitoretske according to video evidence published by Ukrainian sources, and also in the area north of the village of Yasynuvata, also using FPV drones to target Russian armored vehicles and equipment in this area.
Although most of these videos show evidence of suppressive technologies, successful targeting of Russian equipment in the Donetsk area is still a problem for Russian Forces here, as well as for Ukrainian Forces.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction:
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as a result of fighting in the vicinity of Robotyne, Ukrainian losses amounted up to 50 soldiers and one MiG-29 in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
Russian Forces published video in the vicinity of eastern Robotyne showing the use of MLRS on the concentrations of Ukrainian manpower in this territory.
Russian Forces were also bombing and shelling Ukrainian concentrations of manpower in the trenches in the south and east of Robotyne using a deadly combination of drones and artillery, repelling an attack before it came.
In the Kherson direction:
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, as a result of complex fire damage, Unrainian Forces in the Kherson area lost up to 60 soldiers.
Russian Forces continued using FAB500 to flatten Ukrainian warehouses and ammunition depots in Baryslav and to its north, in the area north of the Ukrainian foothold in Krynky and the staging ground for offensive operations in this area.
In the vicinity of Prydniprovske, drone footage of the areas under heavy Russian shelling show evidence of dozens of dead Ukrainian infantry in this area unable to be evacuated under constant shelling.
In the Artemovsk direction:
two major updates.
In the Klischiivka area, Russian videos showed heavy usage of FPV drones to clear Ukrainian positions on the north of Klischiivka, confirming Ukrainian control over the northern residential outskirts under heavy Russian assault.
Only a small part of the forest patch area well to the north of the residential outskirts of Klischiivka has been recaptured by Russian Forces as of yet.
In Andriivka, Russian Forces recaptured the area east of the rail lines east of Andriivka that was recently captured by Ukrainian counteroffensive operations in the area.
However, caution is warranted as video is lacking for Andriivka.
In the Siversk direction:
Ukraine Forces rely heavily on FPV drone in this area to assault the supply roads for Russian Forces in the vicinity of Verkhnokomianka, with video showing the targeting of a Russian vehicle on the supply road south of the town.
Russian Forces continue using FAB500 to target Ukrainian strongholds and ammo depots in the area north of Soledar in the vicinity of Rozdolivka.
Ukrainian Forces also published video showing the successful strike against a Russian armored vehicle in the area north of Berestove.
Frontlines remain stable, no changes in territory.
In the Lyman/Kupiansk direction:
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, as a result of positional fighting in the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian Forces lost 80 soldiers in this area.
Russian Forces were using FPV dronehe target Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Dvorichna, with video showing the successful targeting of a Ukrainian stronghold, the third successful targeting video in three days in this city.
No changes in the Krasni Lyman/Kupiansk/Kharkiv territories.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 534 aircraft, 254 helicopters, 8829 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 anti-aircraft missile systems, 13346 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1183 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 7059 field artillery guns and mortars, and also 15,194 units of special military vehicles.

Over the weekend I decided to stick with the plan and stay off the old medication. I contacted the stand-in doctor and asked him to prescribe the new pills and somewhat to my surprise he did reply on Sunday evening and issued the prescription. Unfortunately, when I tried to place an order, none of the vaguely nearby pharmacies had any in stock, so I had to order them to be delivered to home.
Still, on the bright side, I had no symptoms at all during Sunday. Or Monday. However, I made a huge mistake on Tuesday, when I woke up with symptoms. I still went down to the basement and rode the exercise bike for half an hour. Admittedly I didn't ride as hard as I normally would, but it was enough to really mess me up and after the session I started feeling dizzy and almost about to faint. My wife insisted on taking me to Urgent Care (and thankfully I paid attention) where they didn't really do much apart from give me a couple of saline bags intravenously. But I did get the opportunity to talk to the replacement cardiologist and understand a bit more about the new medication, which arrived later in the afternoon so I've been taking those tablets for a few days now. So far so good, though I did have a bit of a "flutter" just before dinner - and a scheduled dose - so I shall monitor that over the next few days.
Tomorrow is the MLR Conference semi-final - OG are away in Chicago. I don't know that I am convinced that they will win, but I do believe they have a chance, which is unusual for me! Their game last weekend in San Diego was something of a whitewash 50-5), but they fielded a second-string side so I wasn't expecting too much given they had nothing to play for whereas the Legion needed a big win to stand any chance of being in the play-offs…which they ended up missing anyway due to results elsewhwere!

Understanding The War In Europe _ Analyzing the situation on the ground with by way of an introduction, 3 points, and a conclusion #militaryoperations #modernwarfare #blackops
COMBAT BRIEFING NUMBER 1093
"Russian Special Military Operation – Strategic Briefing Update (as of May 24, 2025)" "Prepared for Defense Analysts and Security Professionals"
As of May 24, 2025, Russian forces have made significant tactical and operational gains across multiple fronts in Ukraine, marking one of the more expansive days of action in recent weeks.
"Precision Strikes on Strategic Targets" The Russian Armed Forces conducted coordinated high-precision strikes using ground-based weapon systems and UAVs against key Ukrainian defense infrastructure. Targets included a military-industrial complex producing missile weapons and drones, a radio-technical reconnaissance center, and a Patriot air defense system emplacement. All targets were reportedly destroyed.
"Northern Sector – Sumy Region" The North Military Group successfully "liberated Loknya", Sumy Oblast. Combat operations resulted in the neutralization of concentrations of Ukrainian airborne assault and infantry forces in multiple settlements including Yunakovka and Miropolye. Estimated Ukrainian losses: "155 personnel", a tank, 4 armored vehicles, 10 artillery systems, and an ammunition depot.
"Western Sector – Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions" Russian “West” forces advanced to "more favorable positions", inflicting losses on mechanized and territorial defense units in Kupyansk and Redkodub. Notable destroyed assets include a "UK-made 155mm Braveheart SPG" and a "US-made M113 APC". Ukrainian casualties are estimated at "215 troops".
"Southern Sector – Donetsk People’s Republic" The Southern Group seized "Stupochki", disrupting three enemy brigades near Seversk and Konstantinovka. Enemy losses include over "280 personnel", multiple vehicles, artillery pieces, an EW station, and a logistics hub.
"Central Sector – Donetsk People’s Republic" The Center Group delivered heavy blows to several elite Ukrainian formations, including special forces and marine units, around Dimitrov and Alekseevka. Ukrainian losses were significant: "410 troops", 5 armored vehicles (including another M113), and 3 artillery systems.
"Eastern Sector – Donetsk and Zaporizhia Regions" The East Group achieved the "liberation of Otradnoye", engaging Ukrainian mechanized and territorial defense brigades. Enemy losses totaled "200+ servicemen", 7 armored vehicles, and multiple artillery systems. Two EW systems were destroyed.
"Dnepr Group Operations – Southern Front" Engagements across the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions resulted in the degradation of mountain assault and coastal defense brigades. Russian strikes neutralized "70 troops", several artillery systems, and additional EW capabilities.
"Operational Depth Strikes and Air Defense Successes" Operational-tactical aviation and artillery hit "153 enemy locations", including special operations and foreign mercenary sites. Russian air defenses demonstrated layered effectiveness:

Quick-Look Intel Drop (5 articles, 5 take-aways)
Cargo Drones for Island Hopping Logistics – Defense One • Piasecki just bought Kaman’s KARGO program: trailer-portable, vertical-lift drone that hauls 500 lbs hundreds of nautical miles (or 1,000 lbs for ~100 nm). • Marines want medium-range unmanned lift to free up manned helos and keep small units resupplied across the Pacific. Payload spec may stretch to 1,400 lbs, autonomy will grow via software. • Commercial demand (mining, oil) makes the business case real; modular design keeps upgrade costs down.
The M10 Booker—When Requirements Eat Their Young – Defense One • Started as a “light, airdroppable tank” for the 82nd Airborne; requirements creep killed that. Now 42 tons—too heavy for Fort Campbell’s bridges, single-load only in a C-17. • Locked into 1990-era SINCGARS radios, no autonomy option, and a mandatory 504-vehicle buy to dodge a cost review. • Army leadership is considering cutting losses once three pilot vehicles finish testing; a lighter, tech-ready M1A3 may back-fill the need. New oversight gate forces programs to prove practicality within 120 days or die.
Autonomous Low-Profile Vessels (“Narco-Subs”) Join 12th Marine Littoral Regiment – Sandboxx News • Okinawa-based 12th MLR is experimenting with Leidos-built ALPVs: five-ton payload, 2,000 nm range, surface-skimming silhouette, fully autonomous or waypoint-driven. • Mission: covert sustainment of dispersed littoral teams under Force Design 2030—think sneaky pallet runs, not torpedoes. • Marines are validating reliability and CONOPS; commander wants more hulls once data proves the logistics ROI.
ExDECS Microwave Cannon Targets Drone Swarms – Army Recognition • Epirus delivered its Expeditionary Directed Energy Counter-Swarm system to the USMC for field eval: solid-state GaN emitters, truck/trailer mount, software-defined waveforms. • One pulse fries circuits on multiple UAVs at ~$0.05 per shot—non-kinetic Phalanx. Integrates with CAC2S and open APIs. • Part of a family (Leonidas Pod, IFPC-HPM, etc.) already doing Army trials; extended-range variant (10 km) in the queue. Fits Marine EABO doctrine: lightweight, mobile, low-signature air defense.
F-47: Mach-2-Plus Stealth Racer – Warrior Maven • Public hints peg Boeing/USAF’s future F-47 at ≥ Mach 2 while retaining low observability—beating legacy speed-vs-stealth trade-offs. • Unknown thermal-management tricks could tame IR bloom; surpasses F-35’s Mach 1.6 and matches/edges F-22’s Mach 2.25. • Raw speed is only half the dogfight—expect advanced sensors, off-boresight weapons, and high thrust-to-weight to round out the air-dominance package.
That’s the landscape: unmanned movers, microwave zappers, requirement misfires, stealth speed demons, and the perpetual race to keep small, distributed forces fed and lethal.
Add-On Intel: DoD Axes “Women, Peace & Security” Program
• Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth killed the UN-aligned Women, Peace & Security (WPS) initiative inside the Pentagon, calling it a “woke, divisive social-justice program” that distracts from war-fighting. • WPS dates back to the 2017 Women, Peace & Security Act—signed by Trump and championed by Ivanka Trump, Kristi Noem, Marco Rubio, and Jeanne Shaheen—to boost female participation in peacekeeping, mediation, and military roles. • Critics (Shaheen, former Marine combat-pilot Amy McGrath) say the move is short-sighted, arguing WPS enjoys senior-leader support and yields strategic advantages by adding women to conflict-resolution efforts. • Hegseth claims troops “hate” the program and vows to zero it out in the next budget, framing the cut as part of a wider rollback of federal diversity initiatives. • Cost data for WPS inside DoD hasn’t been disclosed; Hegseth says the Biden team “weaponized” the effort but offers no specifics.

Russian Propaganda on Killing POWs from Azov in Olenivka
Preparing the information field on the eve of the tragedy
In the week preceding the tragedy in Olenivka, Russian propagandists began to actively write about Azov soldiers in their telegram channels. The key narrative: they allegedly began to confess to their crimes.
Thus, propagandist Rudenko posted the first interview with an Azov soldier on Monday, July 25, 2022. Let us remind you, the tragedy occurred on the night of July 28 to 29, 2022.
The next day, July 26, the propagandist posts a video with the same prisoner, exacerbating the situation: “He is telling how they killed civilians in Mariupol.” This post is picked up and distributed by the entire Kremlin propaganda network on Telegram.
Rudenko’s account became the main platform through which the script line of propaganda was spread — “the Azov soldiers began to confess, for which they were killed.” There are videos with “confessions” of prisoners on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.
On Thursday, July 28, Rudenko publishes a video in which another Azov soldier speaks on camera about the task of collecting video materials with the dead Russians, which allegedly came from the Presidential Office, possibly from Arestovych.
This “fact” will become a bridge for propaganda, which it will use to connect the story with the Presidential Office and Zelenskyy. Rudenko comments on this video as if deliberately introducing ambiguity: “This is the bomb planted under Zelenskyy’s ass.”
The next day, immediately after the murder of the prisoners, there was a ready-made interpretation of the events — “Zelenskyy’s order.”
Interestingly, before this week’s marathon of posts with confessions, Rudenko did not mention Azov soldiers for 20 days. The increase in the activity of the occupiers’ telegram channels was most likely due to the preparation of the information field before the terrorist attack.
Another manifestation of the sudden “azovomania” in the Russian-fascist telegram channels on the eve of the terrorist attack was the screening of the film “Nazi Punishers” on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. It shows how propagandist Kim interviews several prisoners, finds pagans among them, and presents the defenders of Ukraine as Nazi sectarians who killed civilians.
After the execution of the Ukrainian military in Olenivka, she again wrote a post with “righteous anger.”
In the video she posts, which was shot on the eve of the crime, Kim focuses on the barracks with the Azov POWs:“The whole barracks, completely, is filled with Azovites, right?”
The following point attests to the quality of the film about Azov. When Kim shows a page from a book called A Collection of Internal Rules of the AZOV Regiment, it says in Ukrainian: “physical activity,” which the propagandist translates as “physical punishment.”
To give a complete picture, it should be added that as early as June 5, the pro-Kremlin telegram channel NEZYGAR began to prepare the information ground: “The second goal is a prisoner of war camp in the village of Olenivka, where Nazis from Azovstal and servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are kept. The British want to present the MLRS strike as an attempt by the Russian Armed Forces to conceal ‘the execution and torture of prisoners, and then hype on the topic of Bucha’.”
Russian propaganda is now trying to use this post as evidence that proves the guilt of Ukraine and the West.
“You didn’t expect such an extraction, did you?”
The day after the tragedy in the barracks, the same propagandist Rudenko, who was preparing the whole story before the terrorist act in Olenivka, came to shoot the wounded in the hospital.
His first question to the survivors is: “Did you expect such an extraction as promised by the Ukrainian command?” To the Ukrainian answering “no,” the propagandist asks: “What did they promise you at all?” Another question: “Do you know how many of yours died? 53 people.” So, the propagandist had the task to prepare a statement for Ukrainians in the first interview: “Zelenskyy and the authorities betrayed the Azov soldiers.”
The propagandist tells another wounded soldier that it was an American HIMARS missile. He then asks: “You didn’t expect such an extraction, did you?”
In the text to the video, he “consolidates the success” of the accusations against Zelenskyy: “Those who survived understand this, they did not expect their government to be so evil. The shelling occurred at night, the barracks where the prisoners were held was hit with Himars MLRS. 53 people were killed and more than 100 were injured.”
Later, the statement was spread on Russian TV that the Azov POWs told about Arestovych from the Presidential Office and that was the reason for their murder.
The same storyline — the Ukrainian authorities destroy those who dare to speak — was spread by other telegram channels.
MedvedevVesti argued that the strike had two objectives. Firstly, not to allow prisoners to talk about Ukraine’s war crimes. Secondly, to blame Russia for the strike to ideologically prepare the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
“We are increasingly seeing that former Azov soldiers, marines, and territorial defenders tell us what war crimes they committed. How the AFU killed civilians for shouting “Glory to Ukraine” in a wrong way. Well, why does Kyiv need all this? Therefore, attacks on the colonies where Ukrainian prisoners are held will continue. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will kill their own people. As useless witnesses. This will be blamed (or has already been blamed) on Russia. Saying the Russians tortured our people, but then they blew their people up. … I think in the coming days we will see something else… The offensive, which Kyiv cannot avoid any more, will become a meat grinder for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The ground is being prepared. Justification of future losses.”
Even Zakharova got involved, who, in addition to the already mentioned accusations, also added some “hate” about Olena Zelenska’s photo shoot for Vogue.
Trading in fear
At the same time, there was a video showing the torture of a Ukrainian prisoner, which became widespread the same day after the murder in Olenivka. This alleged coincidence actually indicates a single planned PSYOP of the enemy.
The Russians wanted not only to kill the Azov prisoners, but also to emotionally link the torture to this massacre to try to humiliate the Ukrainian military and Azov, which has become one of the symbols of Ukraine’s defence.
And to prove, perhaps, first of all, to themselves that they are the only ones who can cause fear. After all, after five months of the “special operation,” in which “everything goes according to plan,” with more than forty thousand losses, one needs to boost morale with such atrocities.
The Russian leadership needs to maintain the readiness of its subordinates to fight. To do this, you need to raise the stakes of the game by introducing the characters of the “Azov Satanists” into it.
Among other things, the public, warmed up by propaganda, would simply not accept a positive solution with the captured Ukrainians, especially so that they all return home as heroes after the exchange, like Taira.
Moreover, in general, Russian propaganda stated that the video with the torture of a POW was a Ukrainian fake.
However, as always, the Russians promoted several parallel narratives aimed at different audiences, the one that the Azov people deserved to die being among them. Once again, this confirms that the Russians had a motive to kill them.
On July 10, 2022, the Russian-fascist propagandist Starikov wrote in his telegram: “The public wants a trial of the Nazis. Thus, the first trial has already been conducted and the verdict has been passed. Two members of the Azov battalion were sentenced to death. Both killed someone, including prisoners. Both were having active accounts on social networks and, in fact, they earned the maximum punishment.”
The next morning after the Russian terrorist attack in Olenivka (at 10:00 a.m. on July 29, 2022), the Russian Embassy in the UK tweeted: “Azov militants deserve execution, but death not by firing squad but by hanging, because they’re not real soldiers. They deserve a humiliating death. A married couple from Mariupol tell how they were shelled by Ukrainian forces from Azovstal.”
Even if we imagine the situation that Ukraine did this, destroyed important witnesses, the Russian Embassy would not have written about this post instantly in the morning. The Kremlin leadership would take a pause for at least a few days to think about how to comment on the fact that the “insidious Ukrainians” destroyed its plans.
After the real terrorists called Azov soldiers terrorists, namely, after the relevant decision of the Supreme Court of Russia on August 2, another link appeared that indicated a holistic information campaign that accompanied the terrorist attack in Olenivka.
Starikov dwelt on this and threatened the Russians defending Azov soldiers with a prison term.
Screenshot from Starikov’s post
On the same day, Russian media actively disseminated an official message of Georgiy Volkov from the Public Supervisory Commission of Moscow that “the captured Azov militant reported that cannibalism was a widespread practice in the regiment.”
It looks as if one of the secret supporters of democracy, who are forced to work among Russian propagandists, decided to bring the storyline to the point of absurdity to ridicule and neutralize it. But most likely, Russian propagandists simply continue creating a scarecrow for non-picky Russians. They also responded in this way to the statement of Mykhailo Podolyak about the video with torture that “Russia is a country of cannibals.”
Thus, we can conclude that the Russian fascist propaganda began a powerful information campaign in advance to accompany the massacre of Azov soldiers.
The cult of anti-Ukrainianism cherished by the Kremlin propaganda, which is professed by millions of Russian citizens, requires bloody sacrifices. Having Azov prisoners in their hands — the main object of demonization of recent years — the occupiers simply could not resist the temptation of a mass murder, contrary to international law and all the agreements consecrated by the UN and the Red Cross.
Russian propaganda thus solves the so-called “Mariupol problem.” In the 21st century, a large, mostly Russian-speaking city was destroyed by the occupiers in front of the whole world, killing more than 20,000 civilians. So there was an urgent need to somehow explain this, at least for Russians. The solution is found in shifting all responsibility to Azov. Thus, by dehumanization, criminalization, and brutal punishment against the Azov soldiers, Russia opens the Overton window, pushing the boundaries of the genocide of Ukrainians, allowed for rationalization and legalization.

The logic of these ubiquitous pre-prepared fortifications harkens back to the 1864-65 Battle of Petersburg (US Civil War), with many WW1 innovations – a logic where victory depends on: - you not running out of men and ammo - the enemy being comparatively stupid 2/
Of course, when you think about it, the revealed logic of Ukraine’s long-prepared strategy for this war is, in many ways, a reflection of American military delusions and vanities, which multiplied and solidified over the course of the brief and fleeting “unipolar moment”. 3/
Despite not having “won” a war since 1945 (and then only truly against the Japanese), the US military is consumed with the vanity that it has *always* dominated opposing forces in every conflict. There is some measure of truth in this perspective. 4/
But it is irrelevant. Because, since no later than the Korean War, the US has not faced a peer or near-peer adversary in a high-intensity conflict. The US military has not been, for almost three-quarters of century, truly tested “under-fire”. This is an indisputable fact. 5/
The US has measured its battlefield mettle, for decades, against brave sandal-shod men with AK-47s, RPGs, and a certain savoir faire for constructing IEDs. But they have *never* faced anything like Russian artillery or missiles. Not even in Hollywood movies or video games. 6/
Consequently, the Pentagon’s self-perception of unquestioned supremacy has served to disinform and corrupt its doctrinal and procurement decisions for multiple generations of its officer corps. For most US generals and admirals, all putative opponents are underestimated. 7/
That said, I believe a great many have now been awakened from their intellectual slumber by the manner in which the Russian armed forces quickly assessed the Ukrainian order of battle, and then professionally adapted their strengths and tactics to decisively defeat it. 8/
Here is a brief summation of the Russian tactical approach to the Battle of the Donbass: Step #1: advance reconnaissance units (often in force, with dozens or hundreds of drones overhead) to assess the situation; draw fire; relay to commanders raw video and geo-coordinates 9/
Step #2: with target-correcting drone swarms relaying real-time strike video, proceed to savage the fortifications with towed and mobile artillery, MLRS in gradations of strength and precision, and even horrific thermobaric munitions for particularly suitable targets. 10/
Let smoke clear. Repeat Step #1. Still something moving there? Repeat Step #2. Repeat Step #1. Dead bodies everywhere? Step #3: Send in tanks and infantry to mop up. Move to next series of fortifications. And so on and so forth … 11/
This is why Ukraine now suffers hundreds of KIAs every day. And why, for months, the Russians have suffered very few casualties – at least a 1 to 10 ratio. Probably much lower. The artillery (with occasional air and precision missile strikes) is doing all the fighting. 12/
But back to Ukraine’s apparent strategy for this war, and the apparent US influence on that strategy. I will preface my commentary on this issue by stating that I am now thoroughly convinced Ukraine’s fatal blunder was following NATO's advice. 13/
I’ll grant the remote possibility that the Pentagon/CIA had a cogent view, far in advance, of the relative unlikelihood that a half-million-strong, well-armed, and presumptively well-trained (by NATO) Ukraine military didn’t have much chance against Russia. 14/
But watching drone video of Ukrainian fortifications has convinced me the NATO brain trust effectively disdained Russian military capability, and its commanders, in the course of their eight-year-long preparation of the eastern Ukrainian battlefield. 15/
They clearly believed the Russians would be stupid enough to assault Ukrainian fortifications using “modern” tactics entirely ill-suited to the task at hand. Their vanity persuaded them the Russians would beat themselves to pieces against an entrenched well-armed force. 16/
Indeed, they were so confident of the genius of their plan that they persuasively encouraged many hundreds (if not thousands) of now-killed or captured NATO veterans to “share in the glory” of humiliating the Russians and bringing down the Putin regime once and for all. 17/
They deluded themselves into believing the Russians lacked: strategic and logistical acumen, a sufficiently well-trained force, and – arguably the biggest miscalculation of all – sufficient stockpiles of ammo to conduct a protracted high-intensity conflict. 18/
In short, I have come to believe the US/NATO actually persuaded themselves that this “Mother of All Proxy Armies” they built in Ukraine seriously had an excellent chance to soundly whip the Russians in a battle situated on their borders. 19/
In other words, they not only grossly underestimated their enemy, but they ignored centuries of history that they somehow convinced themselves had no relevance to their 21st century aspirations to defeat Russia militarily and take a great spoil of its resources. 20/
But, as is now readily apparent to all objective, knowledgeable military analysts around the globe, the US/NATO-trained Ukraine proxy army been savaged by a patient, methodical, and significantly outnumbered Russian force, using century-old doctrines and tactics. 21/
Even more revealing is that once-vaunted and universally feared US/UK weaponry – almost all of it rather antiquated – has proven to be far less “game-changing” than the pea-brained strategists in Washington and Whitehall mistakenly believed. 22/
Javelins, NLAWs, and Stingers have been exposed as effectively useless against their intended targets. M-777 howitzers break down after just a few fires. GPS-guided “precision” munitions are routinely jammed by Russian EW counter-measures. 23/
Worse yet, the inculcation of NATO field doctrines in the minds of the AFU officer cadre has resulted in pervasively inflexible responses to battlefield events that developed contrary to expectations; discipline has disintegrated; improvisation has been paralyzed. 24/
To be sure, if one were to go by the laughable assessments of western think-tank propagandists and their dutiful lackeys in the media, “Ukraine is winning” and “the inept Russian military has been humiliated”. But more discerning observers around the world know better. 25/
What sober military men in potential adversary countries across the globe see is that Russia has, with one hand tied behind its back, eviscerated the massive, relatively well-armed and well-trained Ukraine military. The US intimidation factor has been forever compromised. 26/
More geopolitically significant, at least in the near future, is that European NATO members can also read the scorecard of this war: they now understand as they never could previously that standing on the NATO side of the field is hardly a guarantee of security. 27/
I am convinced NATO will not survive the results of this war in Ukraine. Sure, they’ll “keep up appearances” for the time being, but there can be no doubt that most now understand that siding with a rapidly declining empire is fraught with great risk and minimal gain. 28/
More concerningly, the Chinese have been watching all of these developments with great interest. They are almost certain to be emboldened to act decisively to secure their sphere of influence in the emerging multipolar world. Great dangers now await in east Asia … 29/end
=====
On the one hand, lol. There's a certain amount of gratification here. The USM is exposed once again as bumbling and incompetent.
On the other, there are several terrifying aspects. The first is that if the US military has been rendered into a husk incapable of bringing about by force the results that the bourgeoisie desire, and the tactics of economic warfare are showing themselves to also be increasingly inefficient (or even actively detrimental), then all that really leaves is nukes to threaten people with.
The same neoliberal rot that has made American politics impossible to reform has also made the military impossible to reform. The people responsible for the military's state are completely insulated from any sort of repercussions because it's functioning exactly as intended. Win or lose in Ukraine, Raytheon, Boeing, etc, are all going to make money, and the generals responsible for this blunder are all going to get jobs on those companies and go on to continue advising the government.
Most troubling of all is that this is all likely to make the US even more dangerous in the foreseeable future. The USM already had one big black eye thanks to the panicked retreat from Afghanistan. Now it's getting another by proxy because Ukraine is getting its shit shoved right in. So in order to save face, one of two things is probably going to happen:
The US picks some middling power to beat up on in an effort to try and put the fear of god back into the world. If the Republicans completely sweep the midterms, my money would be on Iran.
The US says "fuck it" and goes full tilt into a war with China. It's a conflict the US has long anticipated, and if they're going to fight it and actually hope to win it, sooner is better than later.
Neither of these are great options, but the US has positioned itself so that anything else is effectively impossible.

Daily Wrap Up June 10, 2022
Under the cut: Russian forces occupying the ruined Ukrainian city of Mariupol have demolished 1,300 high-rise apartment buildings without carefully removing hundreds of dead bodies buried under the rubble; Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Synehubov said that as a result of Russian shelling of residential buildings in the oblast over the past 24 hours, two people were killed and another 15 injured, including a 12-year-old child; Mariupol’s mayor, Vadym Boychenko, warned cholera and other deadly diseases could kill thousands of people in the Russian-occupied city in southern Ukraine as corpses lie uncollected amid rising temperatures; Ukraine tried to push back Russian troops in the east and south on Friday as France offered to help ensure access to the port of Odessa and ease a global grain crisis; Ukraine’s defence ministry said it had struck Russian military positions in the southern Kherson region, one of the first areas to be seized by Moscow’s troops after it invaded the country in February.
“Russian forces occupying the ruined Ukrainian city of Mariupol have demolished 1,300 high-rise apartment buildings without carefully removing hundreds of dead bodies buried under the rubble, Ukrainian mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boychenko said on Friday.
Speaking on the city council's Telegram, Boychenko — who has fled Mariupol for Ukrainian controlled territory — said people remaining inside the city have told him, "Initially, the occupiers involved Mariupol residents in dismantling the rubble carefully."
But Boychenko said when the Russians saw the actual number of bodies found under the rubble, they immediately moved the local residents away from the area.
"The real number of bodies under the rubble of destroyed houses is frightening. Almost 50 to 100 people were killed under almost every destroyed house, and 1,300 high-rise buildings were destroyed in Mariupol," Boychenko said Boychenko said that because demolition of buildings has been carried out indiscriminately, the bodies of Mariupol residents killed in the fighting have been removed to landfill together with the concrete rubble.
On May 25, an adviser to the mayor, Petro Andriushchenko — who has also moved to Ukrainian-held territory — told CNN that Mariupol town hall officials believe at least 22,000 residents of the city were killed during three months of war.
Mayor Boychenko on Friday said "Unfortunately, the real numbers of those killed in the city may be much higher than we reported.
CNN is unable to independently verify the number of people killed in Mariupol, with the free press now unable to access the city and those still inside too scared to speak openly.
The Ukrainian presidency has described the number of civilians killed in the city as being in the "tens of thousands."”-via CNN

“Last night the enemy again terrorized the population of Kharkiv and the region with artillery and MLRS shelling. The Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv and Kharkiv, Chuhuivskyi, Izyumskyi and Bohodukhivskyi districts of the region were hit. Damaged houses, warehouses, infrastructure facilities. Coniferous forests and forest belts were burning. During the day 2 civilians were killed and 15 wounded.
In the village of Pechenegs 6 people were hospitalized, 1 died. In the village of Mala Danylivka - 2. In Zolochev 5 hospitalized, 1 killed. In Vyshneve 1 he was hospitalized. In the village. Grushuvakha hospitalized 12-year-old boy.
There was no advance of the enemy on the line of contact. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy is focused on defense. In the Izyum region, the enemy replenishes reserves and regroups forces.”-via Telegram from Oleg Synegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (translated from Ukrainian)

“Mariupol’s mayor, Vadym Boychenko, warned cholera and other deadly diseases could kill thousands of people in the Russian-occupied city in southern Ukraine as corpses lie uncollected amid rising temperatures.
Boichenko, who is no longer in the devastated city, said wells had been contaminated by the corpses of people killed during weeks of Russian bombardment and siege, and that the collection of bodies by the city’s Russian occupiers was proceeding slowly, Reuters reports.
Speaking on national television, Boychenko said:
There is an outbreak of dysentery and cholera. This is unfortunately the assessment of our doctors: that the war which took over 20,000 residents ... unfortunately, with these infection outbreaks, will claim thousands more Mariupolites.
Mariupol has been placed into quarantine, he said earlier. “Nobody is let in or out.” He told the BBC that “there are a lot of dead” in the city, adding:
They have not cleared the bodies of those they killed in the bombings. Many bodies are still under the ruins. The problem is compounded by the absence of garbage collection – the system hasn’t been functioning since February.
The situation was being made worse by it now being summer and hot, with heavy rain ruining makeshift burial places as well as a lack of functioning water and sewage systems, he said.”-via The Guardian

“Ukraine tried to push back Russian troops in the east and south on Friday as France offered to help ensure access to the port of Odessa and ease a global grain crisis.
Agence France-Presse reports:
Kyiv said Friday it had launched new air strikes on Russian positions in the captured southern region of Kherson, one of the first areas to be taken by Russia after the February 24 invasion.
Fierce fighting continued in the eastern Donbas region, where President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian forces were “holding on” despite Moscow concentrating its firepower there.
The fiercest fighting remains around the eastern industrial city of Severodonetsk, a battle that Zelensky has said is pivotal for the fate of the Donbas region.
Local governor Sergiy Gaiday said on Friday that Russian forces had destroyed a major sports centre, adding: “One of the symbols of Severodonetsk was destroyed. The Ice Palace burned down.”
With the world still facing shockwaves from the war, an adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron said France was ready to assist in an operation to allow safe access to Ukraine’s Black Sea port of Odessa.
The port has been subject to a de facto blockade by Russia, and grain is waiting to be exported amid mounting fears of global food shortages, especially in developing countries.
“We are at the disposal of the parties to put in place an operation which would allow access in complete safety to the port of Odessa, in other words for boats to pass through despite the fact that the sea is mined,” said the advisor, who asked not to be named.
Macron will travel to Ukraine’s neighbours Moldova and Romania next week but no date had been set for a visit by Macron to Kyiv, the advisor said.
France wants “victory for Ukraine”, the advisor added, after Macron sparked controversy by suggesting Russia should not be humiliated.”-via The Guardian

“Ukraine’s defence ministry said it had struck Russian military positions in the southern Kherson region, one of the first areas to be seized by Moscow’s troops after it invaded the country in February.
The ministry said there was “a series of strikes on enemy bases, places of accumulation of equipment and personnel, and field depots around five different settlements in the Kherson region”.
Ukraine has launched an offensive to recapture territory in Kherson. On Thursday, the ministry said its forces had won back some territory from Russian forces.
It gave no details but said the Russian forces had “suffered losses in manpower and equipment”, and had mined territory as they were pushed back, and erected barricades against the Ukrainian troops.
It has not been possible to independently verify these claims.”-via The Guardian
