These big bugs will spawn in swamps and river biomes, in either a bright vibrant green or an indigo color, and when fed certain things will give you an item that you can turn into either shamrock or indigo dye!

BUGS BUGS BUGS! But the good kind.

Alrighty, let’s go through all the mobs and their features! Left to right, top to bottom, image one through image two. Since this’ll take FOREVER, use the read more! Look forward to a part two focusing on even more bugs!

SNAIL

Snails spawn in forests and swamps. Snails leave a harvestable trail of slime that can be affected by their food- make it bouncy (by feeding them blueberries), fast (raspberries) or honeyed (honey bottle). Snails come in various shades of browns, grays, greens and ruddy berry colors.

GIANT WATER BUG

Spawning in the beaches (any body of water, really), water bugs are defensive and will attack if you get close. When tamed by obtaining their eggs, water bugs make for good guard dogs- they can be commanded to stay, follow, wander, and by shift-clicking- set to neutral, passive or aggressive. GWBs come in shades of browns and blacks.

SLUG

Slugs spawn in jungles, and leave behind trails that can be used to make redstone components with upgraded signal strength. They come in shades influenced by real-life slugs- pictured is the rare banana slug.

MEALYBUG

Ah, mealybugs, the bane of any farmer. Spawning on crops, mealies eat and suck at crops until they’re sated. However, if you’ve befriended any ants, these bugs become a source of hearty honeydew, which when bottled makes for an incredible food source. Mealybugs only have one color- a dusty, pale white.

FLY

Flies spawn around carrion blocks, buzzing around and being general nuisances. Flies can be tamed by feeding them rotten flesh, and can swarm around attackers on command, descending down from the heavens to make enemies’ lives living hell. Keep an eye out for the rare tsetse and horse flies, larger and more dangerous breeds. Flies have two variants- brown and dark grey.

LIGHTNING BUG / FIREFLY

During the nighttime, look out for fireflies in the distance (since they only spawn during the night). Fireflies can be bottled and tamed with fruits, and can be placed down for a light show. Non-entity fireflies spawn around Naturality’s frog species and certain grasses, if you want the two-pixel variation. Fireflies can be dyed both as entities and as bottles, and dyeing them colors their lights. Fireflies come in a few different variants, all based on real-life species.

COCKROACH

Cockroaches spawn in Naturality’s new caves (the limestone cave and the sunken jungle) as well as in the new beach grottos. Cockroaches can be used as clean-up-crews, consuming detritus and fertilizing farms as they make their way around. Smaller cockroaches have a tendency to swarm players just like flies, and all cockroaches can be tamed. Cockroaches come in a horde of variants based on real roaches, like B. giganteus (giant cave), B. dubia, M. longipennis and B. germanica (German).

MAGGOT

Maggots are the larvae of flies, found in carcasses. They can be itemized and used to tame other creatures, if you’re a monster.

DRAGONFLY

Dragonflies spawn around bodies of water, attacking other insects to eat their fill. They can be tamed and their wings used to upgrade elytras. Dragonflies also can be used as the poor man’s elytra- allowing you to hover and slow-fall. Dragonflies come in some green and blue colors, and one iridescent one.

APHID

Another crop-destroyer, make a farm and the aphids will come. Unlike mealies, they can’t be harvested, only itemized or used in fiber and wood farms after being tamed with offerings of plants. Aphids have one variant- green.

ISOPOD

Isopods spawn in forests, and are used to culture molds and other fungi. They’re basically crustacean puppies. Also see my prior isopost for more colors. Pictured is the rubber duckie variant- the true amount of isos is a secret :)

BUTTERFLY

Butterflies spawn nearly everywhere during the day, and during the night are replaced with moths. Butterflies are basically bees, only instead of honey, they’re used to obtain nectar, which functions as natural potions that give different effects depending on what flowers they come from. Moths, on the other hand, work as glares- they dislike darkness and will point it out if given some nectar as a treat. Butterflies come in a horde of variants.

LADYBEETLE / LADYBUG

Ladybugs and other beetles of their ilk spawn in the plains, and are useful for their shells- which can be made into tough armors. Ladybugs suck at crops, and if tamed will trawl through your fields, picking only the good bits out.

GIANT ISOPOD

Giant isos spawn in the deep seas, and make a living cultivating mosses in the depths. Perhaps you could gain their trust and use them for your own good? The ways of these depth-dwellers are a mystery. They come in three variants- light, dark and pink.

Get Wild Mod by MathModder (In Progress)

What you need to know:

This mod introduces wild animals into your game map that spawn naturally in beetle spawners. It includes birds, small mammals, amphibians, more insects and reptiles in nature zones. Birds can fly and land in random locations and ground animals can be seen walking around the map.

You can choose ONE from various versions that best suit your world. Select the version that spawns specific animals suitable for your World's location.

Here's a list of potential versions that will be included in the mod:

These additional effects mentioned above will appear rarely and randomly in your world.

Can I place individual animals in specific locations, such as on rocks or tables?

In a future update after launch, this function will be added, for now they will only spawn where there is a beetle spawner. Ground animals on the ground and birds in the air.

Is the mod heavy to run?

Within the game I am optimizing it so that a small number of animals spawn at the same time and only spawn at a maximum distance of 500 meters from the player's camera.

How many files will there be?

Because there are many animals and specific animations for each one, the files will be heavy, will be a maximum of 2 to 3 files. In tests in my game with 150 other mods from other creators, I didn't see any loss of performance due to the optimization I'm doing within the game.

It is worth mentioning that some files will need to be placed in the Overrides folder and others in the Packages folder, they will all be specified at launch.

Is this mod compatible with other effect mods?

Yes, it will be compatible.

Bugs:

Depending on the location, there may be some bugs such as birds landing in the air or animals walking a little above the ground, this is due to calculation problems on certain game surfaces and physics, whether hills or mountains, but over time I will update and see What can I do to reduce this. In this case I depend on the engine the game has and whether it is possible to correct certain errors.

Release date:

Between January and February 2024 (It is in the testing phase)

Home and free prompt

For Home, I got inspired by that clip from Spiderman 3 with the landlord XD I wanted Vector to quote bully McGuire. Yes Charmy is high on caffeine, that I got inspired by a silly Chaotix Garry’s mod video someone made with Charmy begging Vector for Coffee. I’m gonna say that’s what happened to the broken door, and Espio steps into a chaotic mess

Second one is free prompt but I’ve been wanting to draw this for a while. I hope they don’t mind ocs, because the 3 are ocs owned by me and a friend of mine as we wanted to make a rival team for the Chaotix. But unlike Team Dark, these guys are outlaws/criminals that work for Clutch the Opossum. The Tiger girl is my OC Takara and the other two are Rush the dragonfly and Flint Locke the Komodo Dragon, who belong to a friend.

I would had colored the second sketch but something is wrong with my tablet atm. And my friend never provided me colored refs for Flint and Rush yet as he never figured out colors for them.

But those are my entries :3 I do hope I can draw the Chaotix more often than just the black arms

All of the Hermits besides Joe have wings naturally, but most prefer using their elytra. Joe, naturally, became curious and set himself a quest to see each Hermit's natural wings. When he got to Jevin, though, he dodged the question, was incredibly secretive, and even tried to claim he didn't have wings at all. This only made Joe more determined. He commissioned two sets of Zed's Best Worst Gear and challenged Jevin to PVP, and eventually, Jev's chestplate broke... Glittery pink dragonfly wings.

Jevin still tried to claim they were curse of binding elytra that he squished into the chestplate. Nobody believed it.

A Stars (Hollow) is Born

So my trip down nostalgia lane coincided with the promise of Autumn (Fall for the Americans out there) back in lagte August and Autumn always brings me indoors as soon as the days start growing shorter and onto the sofa with my favourite cosy shows. This year it is Gilmore Girls.

Subsequently I have become determined to have a Star's Hollow in my game. I've seen a few tumblrs that have shown some really great versions, alas nothing to download (and I kind od understand why now, my CC folder has grown exponentially since starting this town!) which has lead me down the route of creating my own town.

I found a great map on Mod the Sims by Jawusa called Azalea Acres that was created for small towns. What I love about this map is there can be a bustling little town centre and the roads offshoot one going toward the "North" and the other "South" over a bridge. This allows for Star's Hollow to be in the bustling hub and I can create a small portion of "Hartford" where Richard and Emily Gilmore's house is as well as Dragonfly Inn can be just outside of the mane part of Star's Hollow.

I am a notoriously terrible builder because I lack the patience and technical skills for it but do appreciate decorating, so hopefully one can forgive my terrible building skills! Or watch as it *hopefully* improves. Nonetheless hopefully others will gain some level of inspiration to make their own amazing Star's Hollow builds!

So out of curiosity what miraculous makeup the miracle box in miraculous metamorphsis? (we have seen three ocs, the spider, grasshopper, and dragonfly)

Mod CN: Well it's mostly the same as canon.

The only difference is that Tikki and Plagg are not bound to any Miracle Box at all. They're their own gods hidden away in the cosmos, only returning to Earth when an extreme emergency arises. More lore will be explained in another post in the future.

As for The Bugettes, their Miraculous' exist individually without a Miracle Box. Think of it like spare powers/jewels on the side when needed.
