Modders help needed for turn-on mod

I've been trying to fix two issues that my turn-on replacement mod has but no matter what I do, it still won't work like it should.

Notice: For anyone who can't help but want to try my turn-on replacement mod (I know there will be some doing so since the download is public). I suggest you read what my problems are before deciding to try out the mod. While the mod is pretty much done it's still not ready for an official post till I fix this, so you'll be waiting a while for the update. Oh and if you spot any issues that I might have missed, do inform me.

Worked it out by myself. Not longer need any help.

So my first issue is that I made some Lua Script edits but the checks still aren't performing like they should.

Its mostly been ignoring giving original eye colour attractions to the Vampire, Werewolf and Plantsim sims because I have defaults that give them different eye colours when they turn. And I wanted the lua script to kinda reflect that in a realistic way.

I also have Skell's servo eye defaults where the females get blue eyes and the males green eyes, so I tried to make a check that depending on a servo's gender it will give the correct attraction. That was also ignored.

Lastly, it seems that the script also bypassed the check to not give servo and plantsims hair attraction and I copied this over, it shouldn't be giving issues at all.

The only checks that are working correctly in the script are the Influential, Education and Plantsims have green eyes.

Also where they are sending the attractions, if it pass the check, is correct. In my edited turn-on mod I made the following edits:

Blond Hair is now called Recessive Genes and the sim needs to have either, blond hair/ red hair/ light & dark blue eyes or grey eyes in order to gain this attraction. (TO2, 1)

Red Hair is now called Dominant Genes and the sim needs to have either, brown hair/ black hair/ brown eyes or green eyes in order to gain this attraction. (TO2, 2)

When I tested it, it kept both the blond and red hair checks for Brandi (grey eyes/ black hair), when she should have lost the blond hair check (grey eyes) as soon as she turned into a werewolf.

UPDATE: Given up on trying to give servo different eye colours based on their gender. It seems the way the game stores information about the servo is different than I imagine or my lack of Lua script knowledge is limiting me. Rewrote the script and now it correctly performs the checks I complained about previously. Here's what it looks like now, in case anyone wants to see or do something similar.

The other issue is, for some reason, any traits that are in the first three slots in a sim's inventory will get ignored, almost like it was never there to begin with.

In the example below Easily Impressed trait should be ticking the brown hair attraction.

(That attraction got renamed to Head in the Clouds and it should be checking for the following traits: Absent-minded/ brooding/ clumsy and easily impressed)

But as soon as I move over the same trait to the very back of the inventory, it suddenly gets "discovered".

UPDATE: Found out I was using the wrong bhav primitive that searches the traits GUIDs in order to set the attraction flag or not. Fixed it.

I just know in my heart of hearts that in "Star Trek" at one point, there was some moral panic somewhere on Vulcan (among the uppity sorts) because Human culture was "infecting" the local youth with their overly emotional, destructive, unproductive, frivolous, and uneducational ways.

New Mini Event: The Great MCYT WIP Purge

Hello everyone! Luna here! I had an idea for a new mini event, and this time, it's all about the WIPs!

We all know fanartists/writers of all stripes habitually struggle to finish WIP(Works In Progress)s. I know I certainly do. After one too many stressful nights where I agonized over projects I'd forever left unfinished, I came to a solution: AN EVENT!

This event is all about finishing the WIPs! They can be any length, any medium, any MCYT corner--anything! There are no word limits, no finish levels, no nothing--all that matters is that you finish it to your comfort level so it stops haunting you at night (or maybe that's just me, who knows).

If you're a perfect angel who doesn't have any WIPs (lucky you) or you want to help someone else beat their demonic art block with a stick, you can sign up to be a part of the hype squad! Each participant will be assigned a member of the hype squad based on their interests (which will be determined similarly to a big bang, because I apparently love torturing myself with spreadsheets). The hype squad will help the participants with brainstorming and advice when they need it, because making stuff is always more fun with a designated partner in crime!

You can be a hype squad member and a participant if you'd like, just make sure you have enough energy to do both, okay? No burnout! You may also sign up with a pre-selected hype squad and save me a bit of a headache, if you already have a friend you'd like to run with.

I would love insight into how you animate so smoothly in gmod

hi!! so i use the ragdoll mover and the stop motion helper add-ons :D

you use the timeline seen on the bottom of the screenshot to create your key frames and everything else in between ☝️ now i am no pro animator and what little i know ive picked up from various tutorial videos over the years....

stop motion helper has a great video tutorial for the very basics of how to use it! as for the process of animation itself well ummm i can really only link the 12 principles of animation, as i've mentioned that im no expert on the topic.

here's a video i made for the occasion--and i hope you don't mind, but i borrowed bolts for this demonstration ^_^ (i recognize the irony of using a robot to demonstrate fluid movements, but if other animators can use mannequins...)

Hey y'all

I hate to ask for help again when I know I still owe folks some doodles from the last donation drive, but we're in a bit of a spot

My Visa interest and fees come out on Monday and I don't have enough space to cover them. If they bounce I'll be hit with exorbitant overage fees.

YES ABSOLUTELY!!! 💖💕💖 December was very PACKED due to the holidays and then I was sick for a week, so I had to put work on the comics on hold - but since January 6th I got a new PC and am officially back in business!! I already posted a lot of new WIPs and previews of the next update on Patreon!

I'm working on two comic updates simutaneously right now and hope to post the first update by the end of January for Patrons on early access - after a week it then will be available on Webtoons as well.

I also built an ENTIRE FULLY FURNITURED 3D MODEL OF EL'S HOUSE IN BLENDER for the next comics. An INSANE TASK you might say, but one that'll save me a TON of time in the future with drawing backgrounds. Here's a sneak peak of a future panel showing the house, hihihi...

the reason i think i need dare you to death to deliver the jade/kamin dynamic exactly as presented in the pilot trailer and they have not left my mind is because i need kamin to be so neat and orderly and organized. he needs to have perfect posture and pristine clothing and organize the pens on his desk. he needs to be punctual and follow the rules to the letter and if his old school mates called him anal thats fine because he's the youngest inspector in decades and he has nothing to prove (except everything of course).

and i need captain jade to be a hurricane. all easy smiles and carefree attitude; messy and unfiltered. he drapes himself over furniture and rides that stupid motorcycle of his way too fast and still manages to show up late everywhere. he needs to break every rule and have the most onorthodox way of going about things and it's infuriating because he's actually really good at his job and has a real way with people that just doesn't make sense to kamin.

and then i need jade to make kamin come completely undone. i need him to mess him up in any way he can and i need all of this to happen against a back drop of an insane murder mystery.

i need gmmtv to give me this
