My custom DSi shell design! I refurbished my old DSi from when I was younger; changed the touch screen, top screen and replaced all the buttons with red ones!

The original black touchscreen's cable broke so I wasn't able to interact with it, and my shoulder buttons never worked fully, and the new red one was perfect! The shoulder buttons actually just needed to be cleaned too lol, and the camera quality has a great effect of making things look nostalgic ^w^

Also, notice Skyelr's ear. Its bigger and rounder to compensate for the size of the camera!

Main idea was swapping the element, so instead of a fire demon he's an electricity demon! His big horns look like thunder bolts while his small horns look like lightning rods

Tbh I never got on colors with him but I figured he'd either be completely yellow with white patterns on his fingers for lightning, or he's a dark gray, and COVERED in yellow, white, and blue markings to represent lightning

My main idea is that instead of possessing people (he can still do that, it's just not his main thing), he can possess technology instead, and zips around like a current -- maybe there's even one time where he gets the idea to briefly possess the TV to leave the ouija board, and then him and the boys go out for a night on the town

I don't. Really know what he'd look like full body kjdnkfjsn-- Feel like it'd be similar but changed a bit, as per D-Sides, mostly I'm stumped on what the furnace would be- wires? A light? idk

Oh, and instead of a burning anger it's a quick temper that settles back down to chill, like an actual thunder storm

okay another problem i have with how everyone makes and thinks of minecraft biome mods;

literally everyone under the sun seems to think "end biomes" means-or for some reason needs to mean-"overworld 2 cartoon outer space boogaloo".

everyone and everything assigns it with a cutesy space aesthetic it simply doesn't actually have at the moment and damn near every modded biome is just "what if it was literally just trees but glowy" until the end dimension is functionally just a massive forest barely distinguishable from the bracken pack faewild by a marginally higher rate of occurrence of purple. there's none of that hostile barren alien slipspace a wrong-step to the left outside of reality, there's none of that infinite entropic void at the end of all things, there's none of that eerie vaccum space both more than and less than real, no, it just gets reduced. every single goddmaned time in every single goddamned biome mod ever made. to "ha ha purple forest go brrr".

i don't see the point of having a whole separate dimension for what amounts to a marginally glowier mangrove biome with a purple coat of paint thrown on it, and the closest i've seen to ANYTHING that comes even REMOTELY close to so much as ATTEMPTING what i (and the original design statement o the end dimension) think the end should be is Eldritch End and (again) Nullscape. that's it. there is literally NOTHING else. the "a biome is 1 ground color 1 tree 1-3 grass" mindset is poison to biome design thought in general but nowhere is it more obvious or damaging than with end biomes, and everyone who makes them seems very determined to turn the end into the overworld given how they go out of their way to make direct equivalents to nearly every overworld biome. even all the shaders think it has to be outer space! the only two i've found that don't are BSL and complimentary or ctpomfix or one with a name like that i don't rememebr which!

the end's not outer space! it's an entropic void dimension at the end of existence! the name isn't a cutesy meaningless random word! it's a slowly expanding cosmic horror non-dimension of indescribable and infinite slow, creeping eerie nightmare wrongitude that will eventually consume all of waking reality, not a lilo & stitch sequel!

I recently saw a teaser for the Lilo and Stitch live-action remake, and the things you've said in the past about live action remakes has put a theory in my head. Basically all the big studios took the wrong lesson from the whole, Sonic redesign fiasco. To them, as long as the non-human designs look as close to their animated counterparts, people will still go see it. And unfortunately, I think they're right.

frozen hate discussion??? 👀👀 take my hand

no but really. even just aside from how they took a pretty good fairy tale and did... um, nothing with it? nothing interesting at least, frozen is still just a mediocre movie with bad designs and music that's really just okay.

what really bothers me more than anything else is that frozen just comes off as cynical. it's making fun of older movies that are better than it.

every single time someone tries to make a fairy tale edgy/adult or feels the need to point out every unrealistic aspect about it an angel dies. "you can't marry a man you just met" represents a fundamental misunderstanding of both the genre and the disney movies based on it. it's this annoying tongue-in-cheek tone and utter pessimism that quite literally sucks all the magic out of the movie, and then they have the balls to make fun of better films. it's just cynical and grating and honestly coming from disney itself just annoys me. oh you think snow white and cinderella are unrealistic? you think love at first sight is stupid? should we throw a party? should we invite buzzfeed.

whereas movies like shrek, which also try to deconstruct the fairy tale/disney genre, actually work because instead of someone busting out an "erm, actually!" line every five minutes or pulling some cheap twist, they simply tell a story that reverses the tropes. and there's no moment in shrek where the movie turns to the audience and goes "you dumb dumb fuck ass idiots came here to see a fairy tale? well fuck you! twist villain attack!"

I don't much care for tangled either but at least you can tell it was made in earnest. also literally everything frozen was applauded for has been done better before. the sisters thing? lilo and nani have an actual bond. playboy villain? gaston. taking time to fall in love? beauty and the beast? tarzan? hercules? literally like most disney movies? anna and kristoff were together for like a week before saying I love you. get real.

I agree with everything. Honestly, making fun of past movies would be okay if it succeeded at all. Enchanted exists, it made the same points, and it worked soooo well. In Frozen, Anna is told she can't marry a man she just met, then gets with Kristoff within like two days. Love's not supposed to be a major part of the story? A whole song is sung by the love interests' family about how they should get together (they get together later). So much of the movie is focused on a romance with so little chemistry instead of being about the sister relationship the film claims to be about!

I should say I don't hate Frozen. It's fine, but I don't want fine, ya know? I want great!!! (Also didn't love Tangled either. Idk what management change happened in the animation department in the mid 2000s, but they really lost the groove around that time. Maybe Bob did a shake up)
