I love you cartoony art styles with your blocks and shapes and non-human like designs all superhero cartoons should use these kinds of comic-book-like styles instead of the boring ones with normal proportions

So there's this little project I've been working on for a while called She-ra: Guardians of Etheria, which is kinda like a silly what-if She-ra reboot written and designed by me. I have my own designs and ideas, that I hope you guys would like.
I really respect the reboot's choice to not include He-man in the series, and let Adora stand on her own. She-ra is kinda treated as a footnote in He-man story lately, and that kinda sucks, cause I love Adora so much. I do have an idea how to incorporate Adam into my story, but he's not part of Adora's origin, they were just both destined to get the two halves of the Original Sword and become heroes in their own right.
In my mind the sword didn't chose Adora because she was worthy, but because it knew deep down she was a good person, but needed a lot of guidence. Kinda like a subversion of that whole Sword in the Stone/Whoever is Worthy Shall Possess the Power of Thor.
The Sword of Protection has a mind of it's own, and often doesn't listen to Adora, or outright refuses to transform her if she does something against her good conscience and refuses to admit she feels bad about it.
Anyways, I really hope we see Adora in the CG He-man show or Masters of the Universe: Revolution, cause even tho I said I don't want her to just be a sidekick to He-man, I still wanna see her in any way I can, because I luv Adora.

For those interested: Joe Murray, creator of Rocko's Modern Life and Camp Lazlo, has released his 2010 book "Creating Animated Cartoons with Character: A Guide to Developing and Producing Your Own Series for TV, Web or Film" as a FREE eBook download on his website! It can be found here: https://joemurraystudio.com/books-by-joe-murray/
It is a straight download - no info input required, Murray simply asks you make a donation to a food bank or otherwise pay it forward. This book is since out of print and sells for astronomical prices online so for people (especially like me!) interested in animated TV development this is an AMAZING resource!
Here is the full page blurb for the download copied directly from Murray's site:
This book is one creators approach to creating and producing an animated series. Packed with details and lessons learned from producing Rocko’s Modern Life and Camp Lazlo, along with many side anecdotes.
Also included are interviews with the late Stephen Hillenburg (Spongebob) Craig McCracken ( Powerpuff girls) Tom Kenny ( voice of Spongebob and Heffer), and many more professionals discussing their craft.
The book has since gone out of print, and many resellers are taking advantage of a wanting audience by selling copies at an immense profit. I have received many letters from those who cannot afford these prices and feel they could benefit from the information here. Even though some of the streaming and broadcast information are a bit out of date,( and Lets Go Luna is not included here) much of the info is still relevant.
So I am offering a digital copy for you as a free download. As payment, maybe you can donate to a food bank, or simply pay it forward somehow.
I am working on a new book about story and character for animation. We will see how it goes.
I hope this book can be of service to you. Enjoy!

I dislike modern day/'no power' aus on the best of days but I ESPECIALLY dislike ones where they try and interpret what kind of work they'd do or their style and make them WAYYY cooler then they'd actually be. Don't pretend like geralt of rivia wouldn't look like this

no by all means keep judging cartoon villains solely by if they get redeemed in the end. i know some of us like to talk about other stuff like characterization or entertainment value or nuance as something that makes a good villain. but i think the only thing that actually matters is if the villain ends up on good terms with the protagonist at the end. all the Good TM cartoons with Good TM creators make the villains die a Horrible Death for being Abusers or whatever. and all the Bad TM cartoons with Bad TM creators Forgive Fascists by not making them get publicly executed by the 14 year old protagonist in front of the 8 year old target demographic.
i mean im so glad that more cartoons nowadays are subverting the psyop to support fascists that a few queer artists and queer shows definitely invented in 2017. there are so many popular cartoons doing that. it's almost like there are more properties killing their villains now and in the past than there ever were of properties that didn't do this. and it's almost like whether the villain gets redeemed at the end is more about the context of the story and its themes leading up to a narratively sound decision.
but you know. a few queer shows made by trans ppl were popular and they didn't kill their fascists and even had the gall to make them nuanced while also looking into the harm they did. guess it's trendy to forgive your abusers now because like two cartoons said so. out of like 40 other similarly high profile works that just straight up hit their villains with a bus or smth. by all means. keep heaping praise onto that one show about how they "let their villain just be evil" instead of talking about anything more interesting. that's so subversive, everyone's doing it!
