Nobody asked for it but here is a review of the game Test test test.
Released the January 17th, 2024 on steam by the Indonesian indie studio, toge productions, and Mojiken studios, Test test test is a short puzzle game (point and click) about a worker, who’s late on his work. More info at the end of this post, but be aware of the spoilers.
So. Why do I liked this game and why do I think it was incredible even if the game is about one hour and a half long ? Okay.
First : it’s free. We like what it’s free. It made us save money to buy stupid shit. So we like this game.
Second : I love puzzle games. And everything is well done in this one : the enigmas are good, the solutions aren’t simple but it’s not impossible either. It’s really well done for that, so puzzle game’s lovers, go !
Third : it’s not very long. I mean, it could be a negative point but to be honest, it’s cool to have a short game to play from time to time.
Fourth : the enigmas are original, some are very smart. Things are not that classic, so it’s surprising when you find out the solution.
Fifth : you feel really involved in the game, in the universe. You’re in the game, you feel this want to finish it.
Sixth : it’s funny to scream stuff at people who doesn’t know a thing about the game to them.
Seventh : it’s free. What the hell do you risk by testing it ?
Note : recommended for those who liked there is no game.
Spoiler :
There is a very cool use of 15min temporal loops, some « secret languages » you can decrypt.
Between finding a key in an aquarium and having to go to the 60th floor of a building, the game is very fun !

a space for the unbound made me cry so hard my arms went numb.
Tumblr media
i got this game a couple months after it came out. i only just recently got around to playing it. made by mojiken studio n published by toge productions, it takes place in '90s rural indonesia with lots of colorful characters to meet n a living city to explore. u play as atma, a boy with a magical red book that can dive into the spaces of the hearts of people who are spiritually lost, and need re-guidance to who they truly are.
this game, at first, was good but didnt truly win me over till the scene with a cake. after that point, i kept playing. then it was the music, the scenery, the writing, the characters, nearly everything about this game began to enchant me with the story it was telling to me. this game barely tells u anything, yet so much happens within its 10 hour length. its depressing, but in a way that instills u with hope and faith, maybe everything is gonna be okay if i just make the right choices.
raya is one of the first characters we're introduced to, yet throughout the game, she's the most mysterious. she's confusing, she has more layers than a jawbreaker, and i think she's one of the best written characters in any game ive ever played.
the only thing i can really complain about this game is the gameplay, at times there are hella easy puzzles n others that require u to have a pen n paper to do some algebra problems. other times, youll be doin the same dang thing over n over for like 20 mins, n it feels like its trying to pad out for time when it really doesnt. otherwise, u explore loka town, talk to people, spacedive into their hearts, and fill out a bucket list (which isnt super important to do cuz all u get for completing it is a 2 min cutscene right at the end [a rly good cutscene that continued my sobbing session but still]).
im the kinda person who doesnt necessarily get that sad or cries at stuff, but something about the message this game sent or how i was left feeling with lots of realizations at the end, something about them struck such a chord in the strings of my heart that the afterimage of my emotions will be imprinted in my soul until the day im no longer roaming this earth. ive been left with thoughts and feelings that ill remember for years to come. during the final 30-40 minutes of this game, i was ugly crying, sobbing loudly like a big baby.
i have never played a game, never seen a movie or tv series, n never listened to a song that has made me feel what i felt while playing a space for the unbound. it was a game 6+ years in the making n i think it paid the hell off. i shoulda played this game when it was first added to my steam library.

TestTestTest is a new Game by Mojiken.
So far only the demo is out and I'm already quite excited. This game is dark and depressing. An overworked worker somehow tries to survive and the events get stranger and stranger.
As with "a space forbthe unbound", Mojiken has once again created a very special mood.

A Space for the Unbound
Tumblr media
Stand by Me
After the emotional When the Past was Around, a game I was particularly fond of, Mojiken and Toge Productions are back with another hard-hitting title. A Space for the Unbound plunges us into Indonesia in the 90s, where we follow young high-school students Raya and Atma as they confront the end of their world (I won't reveal any more than that, as the story is well worth the candle). What can I say, I can only recommend it, because once again, it's a game that left a deep mark on me:
❤ A truly moving story that touches on singularly human and mature themes. The script skilfully juggles between sweet moments and much more psychologically harsh scenes, and easily draws us in with the way it gradually distils clues about our characters and the world around us. And I'm not even going to mention the masterful ending - I still think about it with great emotion. A little gem of writing! ❤ Endearing characters, both human and animal ;) (ps: you can pet and name all the animals in the game, I'm screaming!) ❤ I'm a big fan of pixel art, and I can say that in terms of design, it's superb. From the detailed and nostalgic backgrounds, to the distinctive and memorable chara-designs, to the beautiful gameplay animations and cinematic sequences… it's a real treat! ❤ Not to mention the excellent soundtrack that accompanies the game. The music is pleasant, comforting at times, but also emotionally charged in the strong moments. And yes, the song at the end totally helped to make me cry :') ❤ Gameplay-wise, it's partly a fairly basic point & click, with little puzzles here and there that aren't too hard, but the game also offers different gameplay phases (such as QTEs and even an Ace Attorney-style court phase :p), so there's never any real sense of redundancy.
+/- I found all the quests relevant, even the more secondary ones; each one allows us to really learn about the protagonists' neighbourhood and its residents, and therefore to really feel at home there, which reinforces the nostalgic aspect of the game. On the other hand, some of them perhaps take up a little too much time for what they add to the story.
✖ Some actions require you to go back and forth quite a bit at times (and long!) ✖ Atma walks so slowly that you end up running all the time. So what's the point of the walking option x)
This is the second game from this studio that has brought tears to my eyes. They have a real talent for gently conveying emotion, through both storytelling and gameplay. I regret not having played it sooner, as it would definitely have got my vote at the Game Awards 2023, where it was nominated in the 'Game for Impact' category. Because yes, I'm not likely to forget it, and as the game wanted to teach me, cherishing your fondest memories is important for living and moving forward <3

Atma by Team Atma (Indian myths and 8bit, it's short and great and free).
When The Past Was Around by Mojiken (the reason why I made this list, it's a story told by puzzles and point and click and music).
Missed Messages by Angela He (free, kinda sad but beautiful, done entirely by a single person. If you like this one you might also like A New Life, by the same programmer).
If Found by Dreamfeel (lots of emotions about this one).
Moon Hunters by Kitfox Games (this is one is simply gorgeous, also 8bit).
Papetura by Petums (this was entirely made with paper sculptures and love, and it's also very lovely).
Florence by Mountains (I cried playing this one).
Seasons After Fall by Swing Swing Submarine (it's a very enjoyable and cute platform game).
The Mooseman by Morteshka (also platform but darker and has indigenous lore).
Those are a little more expensive but it's worth mentioning them:
LUNA The Shadow Dust by Lantern Studio (has been one of my favorite games for years now, also a puzzle story that makes you unlock your memories through point and click, looks a little silly at first but the plot is... Something else).
Spiritfarer by Thunder Lotus Studios (I cried a LOT).
Minute of Islands by Studio Fizbin (for the Adventure Time hoes that love apocalypse stories).
Gris by Nomada Studio (one of the most stunning pieces of art I've ever seen).
Milky Way Prince by Eyeguys and Lorenzo Redaelli (toxic twink yaoi changed me for the worse).
steam sale:
$4000.00 unfinished triple a game now on sale for $3999.95!
The most life changing indie game you've ever seen, usually $4.99, now on sale for $0.45

Let's Play Some Demos! - Part 26
Tuesday, April 1, 2025
Welcome to Part 26 of the Let's Play Some Demos! | LPSD series! For those who are new, I aim to provide commentary and feedback on game demos for educational purposes! In addition, with how saturated Steam is, let's get these indie games some attention, shall we (and the occasional AAA game I think isn't getting enough attention)? For this episode, I used some of the demos I had grabbed from the Myths & Legends & Women's Day Sale Steam Events!  RULES! Typically, there are 4 demos. Each demo gets 30 minutes, not including the adjustment of settings and character creation. I might up it to 5 and/or play a great game for longer if there are technical issues. Or a demo finishes before the timer goes off. And NO AI's spit, aka. plagiarism laundering.
Today, I played 5 demos for your enjoyment:
Atlas Wept by Kbojisoft - Available A Humanist retro-style RPG game about sincerity and empathy, featuring friendly robot dogs and evil smiley faces.
LEILA by Ubik Studios - Available: Apr 7, 2025 A story-driven experience with puzzles about a middle-aged woman trying to make peace with herself. Join her in this dive to her mind and travel through memories and traumas. The unique 2d art style, meticulous sound design and hand-drawn animations bring her to life on this point&click...
Winter Burrow by Pine Creek Games - Planned Release Date: 2025 Winter Burrow is a cozy woodland survival game about a mouse returning home to restore their childhood burrow. Explore, gather resources, craft, knit warm sweaters, bake pies and meet the locals.
Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall by Brave At Night - Planned Release Date: To be announced Rule your crumbling kingdom as you try to satisfy the petty needs of your people in this cinematic kingdom management RPG. Balance your resources, collect taxes, hire agents and make difficult decisions to see your kingdom prosper or fail.
When The Past Was Around by Mojiken - Available: To be announced When the Past was Around is an adventure point-and-click puzzle game about love, moving on, letting go, and the joy and pain of everything in between.
The links above are to the games' Steam pages. Atlas Wept and When The Past Was Around's demos are also on itch.io!
Why 5? Because LEILA's lack of guidance made me rage quit, and Yes, Your Grace: Snowfall's demo was no longer available.
Overall, I want Winter Burrow and When The Past Was Around, and they are on my wishlist. Not a smart business move.
For anyone interested in a mini-review, it will be available on the Opinions & Truth | O&T blog later today, or this week, here!
If you don't see Part 25 when you click the link, it means I'm still working on it. Feel free to look at other videos while you wait!
And that's it for the mini-review of Part 26! Thank you for reading! If this series of videos is something you're interested in, they're available on YouTube, The Titans' Discord, Steam, Rumble, Odysee, Ko-fi, and on multiple blogging platforms! Don't forget to hit the Subscribe and/or Follow buttons to know when there's more!
CAUSE OF THE MONTH The theme for April is ADtistic (ADHD + Autistic) Awareness Month, so, the causes of the month are ADDitude and The Color of Autism. For more details, click here!
