Slice of life

My home decor style is definitely maximalism.

I've recently bought some new home goods (pic 1) and was very happy about it. I've swapped the basket with a smaller basket that holds knit vests and gilets. Need to find a new home/purpose for the old basket (was too small & overflowing) but one step at a time!

I've finally hung up the cute pottery witch I've got for my birthday last year from a friend. It's really adorable!

Also put up those gold sun decorations. They're just pretty and that's all they need to be!

And I've put the big bag basket I've bought myself for my birthday last summer up in that shelf. It's a real basket chilling spot now!

Did a local neighborhood sale this past Saturday!

I went to a local doll fair yesterday and brought my Marie Teacup (she fits safely and perfectly into the Barbie Cakeworthy bag so that was pretty cool). So I thought today would be cool day to show some much clearer photos of my teacup & teacup hybrid!

My first teacup, Marie is from the most recent teacup preorder and is just adorable in the resin color Vanilla Pudding. I had gotten her head separately and my amazing friend @/amberharrisart found a way to get me her body for my bday 🥹❤️ so she has a very special place in my heart! She will probably have many fashion adventures but is currently styled after mori kei.

Aurie, my teacup hybrid happened very shortly after Marie. Because I was absolutely obsessed and wanted another one. Aurie is one of my original faves when I first found DDD, and I styled & named her after one of Fave j fashion icons; Minori! She’s hybrided on a melonpan kit body, the match was unexpected and pleasant surprise. Next thing I knew she’d called dibs on that body. I will say it is a great fit if you happen to have floating teacup head, the head sits perfectly on the kit body’s neck.

Both of their faceups are by me, and supposed to parallel each other on top of pushing as much maximalist decorating I could fit here. Marie’s horn I do not know the maker (and decorated on top), Minori’s is a syntheticephemera (used to be Lorelei’s before her unicorn wig).

Their eyes are by @/melonpan.market as per usual 🥰

Their outfits are a combo of dollmore but most of the accessories, which I feel really make the outfits; are from @/worldruinedsales. Most of my mori & high fantasy styled dolls are styled with accessories from them. And I have to say if you don’t already follow @/worldruinedfactory you are missing out, as they record and post lovely outfit styling flat lays with brand & designer information. An amazing BJD styling resource!

And of course, Marie is a full teacup by @/dodollsdream and Minori is the teacup Aurie head on the human kit body from Melondolls.

Valentime Plans for our boys? What would they want to do with MC? (If anything) 💕💕💕 (giving u a heart shaped lollipop in your Valentine’s Day decorated shoebox on your desk btw)

mori would take you on a fast food date but WAIT hear him out. It's late, he orders way too much food and he shows you all his favorite food hacks (put the chicken sandwich INSIDE the taco, fries in the frosty, nugget spicy sauce goes on the burger) and gets you stuff off the secret menu (just ask for Animal Style). In all its surprisingly intimate date, just the two of you in a plastic booth in some 24/hr grease trap in the middle of the night but it leads to fun conversation. (If you're the kind to partake, you can both smoke huge blunts in the parking lot after)

Amir's usually CRAZY busy on valentines day but he's also organized and prepared. If he can't get away from his clients on the day of he'll arrange to take you out either before or after. Amir dates typically go one of two ways- the first is him taking you somewhere INCREDIBLY fancy like a five star hotel for the night that includes a huge suite with a marble floor, top rate spa services, in room food service from an exclusive chef, champagne and fruit for breakfast, fresh flowers, luxury macrons flown in from Laduree's in Paris. The second is he heard about some ADORABLE greek place in a part of town he's never been to and he's determined to eat there even though they mostly sell street style food and he has no idea what half of it is. He calls them for a reservation and the person on the phone has never been asked to make a reservation before. Its confusing but fun. Amir will make sure you don't spend valentines without knowing he's thinking about you. Prepare for an obnoxiously huge bouquet bigger than you to be delivered to you in the most public manner possible.

Akello is understated but classic, imho, he can do no wrong. He loves a more intimate and low key affair. Let him cook you a nice dinner, show you he knows how to make a god damn delicious demi glace and roast vegetables so good they're not relegated to mere side dishes. If you drink he's got a nice wine picked out that matches his food, if not he'll make a bracing black tea with fruit in it that is so simple but so refreshing you'll be begging for it every time you come over. Netflix and chill is fun favorite for Akello (and, if you partake, he'll wrap up a late night date with a big blunt on his building's roof.)

Well, one of the reasons why mori clicked so hard for me was because I have always engaged in the very "stereotypical" mori girl hobbies, such as:

Reading and writing (books have been one of my biggest passions since a very young age, so much so I want to be an author myself one day)

Crocheting and sewing

Going on walks to parks or forests

Collecting small trinkets and/or antique decorations (I very much love to go to flee markets and bag as many antiques as I possibly can, and they are always sooo cheap! (⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠) )

Taking pictures of nature

Reading and getting to know more about nature and animals (I collect magazines that talk about it!)

Recently, I have developed an appreciation for thrifting because of mori, and I like to go to thrift stores with my best friend whenever we can. (⁠◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍⁠)⁠✧⁠*⁠。
