sometimes I sit and realize I am in grad school. I am a grad student. I never thought I'd make it this far. And I think that's pretty cool.

I did a report about physician bias affecting the quality of reproductive healthcare for my Social Justice class. Here's a diagram of a c-section with added upsetting stats about how the procedure is misused and over performed!

Do any of my followers identify as the eldest daughter? I’m currently pursuing my MSW and am in a research class where the final assignment of the semester requires me to conduct a 45-60min qualitative interview with someone. Would anyone be interested in being the (anonymous) subject of my interview?! It would take place over zoom sometime over the next 2-3 weeks. 3-18 | day 4 | I woke up at 5 am to get my research notes from class written out. Then I have to finish my social policy reading and make the quizlet for our next quiz. I don’t work at the behavioral center today, so I’m spending part of my day paying medical bills with my stimulus check and doing taxes. Then some work for the marketing job, cleaning the house, and writing up my initial discussion board for social policy.

hi there. my name is ste (she/her) and i’m currently residing in so-called canada. i’m going to use this blog to document my experiences in the MSW program. you can expect to-do lists, finding beauty in the little things and some rants.

here’s some info about me:

-i completed my BSc honours in neuroscience and psychology in june 2020

-i started my master of social work this fall and received an award for being the top applicant in this admission cycle

-i’m a researcher in a developmental psychology lab and at a startup company

-i also work in residence life at my university and i’m doing a lot of organizing and advocacy work with my union, at the university and in my community

I spent the day looking at MSW programs and I’m so excited to get started on my path to social work 🤩 I can just tell it’s what I’m meant to do! With that being said if anyone knows other social work studyblrs please let me know so we can be friends!
