Gonna answer the questions below for Iris Lavellan.

Do they crack under pressure?

Iris is a lot tougher and more resilient than she thinks she is, and even if she's breaking down while she does it, she powers through and gets whatever needs to be done finished because she is stubborn, and she refuses to lose in a high stakes situation.

If they were trapped on an island, what would be the 3 items they would take with them?

Her staff, so she can cast spells.

A wide-brimmed hat because she has very fair skin and sunburns in about 15 minutes.

The sending crystal Dorian gave her so she can call him for help because in the realm of this hypothetical she is a filthy, filthy cheater and has no time to remain stuck on a desert island, haha!

Are they a leader or a follower?

A leader - but a reluctant one. She doesn't want to lead! She's never wanted it, but on account of being born a mage in a Dalish clan, it was expected of her, and then she became the walking "chosen one" trope and was forced into a role of leadership that she never wanted.

Now, her leadership is by choice for the first time in her life because she has a dumbass (ex?) boyfriend to save from his own foolishness, but what she really wants is to sort Thedas out and then leave public life for good to hide away in a small cabin in the forest, with a beautiful garden.

What's their favorite - or most obnoxious - pet name?

I was noodling this one in my head because I don't think Solas has ever given her a pet name I would call obnoxious? He's a pretty emotionally unavailable boyfriend, all things considered. 😂 He calls her "vhenan" and I don't think he's ever used any other pet name for her in my writing so I guess that one is her favourite by default? Her best friend, Dorian, calls her "dearest" quite often but I also wouldn't call that obnoxious. Varric calls her "firefly"!

Generally a boring answer for Iris, so I'll give you a bonus answer: Petra Silverscale calls Astarion "muffin" and it is something that fills her with so much joy (and Astarion likes it too but knows that if he actually told her that it would ruin her fun so he pretends not to).

Zephyr is usually shy around new people, but is very charismatic once it gets to know you. They prefer to be alone most of the time, mostly because that's when their creativity flows most freely. Barry stared at the ceiling, eyebrows pinched so tightly he was starting to get a headache. And yet, he didn’t move in fear of removing the arm laid gently around his midsection, hand brushing against his thigh. If he moved too much, he’d wake up Cadence, and if he woke her up, then she’d take one look at him and he’d have to explain why he had such a concentrated look on his face.

Especially when there was no explanation necessary.

He was a father.

Barry Allen was a father.

Not that he hadn’t been a father before, long before himself and others had realized it—Brady had certainly moved his way into his heart easily. Since first meeting the then eight-year-old in Jitters, who looked up at him over the muffin he demolished, only knowing Barry as his mother’s friend, and liked being around him long before he knew Barry was the Flash, Barry felt a sense of protection over the young boy that he’d quickly grew to feel was a son.

But, it was different to know he had a daughter who was, in fact, his. Especially when said daughter wasn’t supposed to exist yet. Wasn’t supposed to be known for a few decades. More importantly, the first thought that came to Barry’s mind was how was he going to explain her presence to everyone he knew and loved?

How much was there to explain when your future daughter appeared out of thin air—out of the future, from thin air—and said they were now stuck? Barry knew there was something a bit off about her when he met her at the wedding, saw his daughter for the first time and the way she grabbed his hand��

Barry gently lifted his head from his pillow, far enough to look at the ring that glistened on his left finger. Then he looked towards Cadence, who’s own finger was bare, save for the lightning bolt tattooed in its place. Nevertheless, as his wife lay on her stomach arm stretched across him, he could see the glimmer of the necklace around her neck, holding her ring.

Had it really been that long ago? He remembered it as clear as day, as if it were yesterday, as if nothing with DeVoe and his stint in prison had ever happened.

Inside the church, Barry paced, running his hands over his hair, muttering to himself. Just pre-wedding nerves. Jitters. Something that hadn’t struck him until the last five minutes. Everything needed to go perfectly. He needed to have good memories of something. Anything other than his being kicked from the CCPD and…DeVoe…and Demon…and…

“Sparkling water?”

“Excuse me?” Startled, Barry faced the waitress who stood behind him, holding a tray. She seemed to appear out of nowhere. Barry looked around, noticing the other guests all were holding onto glasses from her dwindling tray. “Oh, uh…” He hesitated. If food went through him that fast, a fact Diggle consistently wondered about, drinking too much wasn’t going to help before he got to the front of the church, either.

But he couldn’t get drunk, so that wasn’t much of an issue.

“I thought you might be a little parched,” The young woman said. She pushed her tray towards him, keeping a firm control of the pale liquid that sloshed around. “Jitters. Big day and all.” She gestured with her tray. “You’re getting married.”

“I am,” Barry agreed. He stepped back, eyeing her closely.

The young woman beamed. “Today.”

“Yes, I am. Today.”

The young woman continued to smile up at him. Her eyes sparkled, almost as if it couldn’t contain the mischief within her. Or she was laughing about something someone had told her before. Barry’s eyebrows came together. The young woman jumped at the change in his expression and offered the tray once more. “So, uh sparkling water?”

“No, uh, I’m good.” Barry waved her off. He quickly added a, “Thank you,” noticing her face fall.

Instead of going on to the next guest, the young woman continued to speak rapidly. Almost rambling. “Okay. So, uh, I’m really excited to be here. I mean, at a wedding. A-any wedding, it just so happens to be your wedding. But I’m happy. To be here. Today.”

Barry smiled a little. The energy and friendliness she exuded was unable to be ignored. She was already starting to make his nerves recede. “You…love weddings?” He guessed.

“I really do.” The young woman looked around. “I mean, this looks to be a little expensive for something of your guys’ taste. Not quite something I would’ve chosen for you. But, it’s still beautiful.” She chewed her lower lip, her smile growing wider. “I’m sure you’ll all enjoy it. You know, the whole wedding deal. Wedding day, wedding night…everything that comes with it.”

Barry could feel himself starting to blush, unsure if she realized the double entendre she managed to put into her words. “That’s cool,” was all he could manage to say, hoping no one around had the ability to read his mind.

The young woman blinked rapidly. “Not that I’m a weirdo or anything. I’m coming off weird, aren’t I?” She tapped herself on the forehead, as if reproaching herself. She sucked in a deep breath, shoulders slumping. Curling her fingers around the end of the tray she admitted, “I just love weddings. Some people call me a nerd for it.”

Her comment made Barry laugh. “Well, coming from the biggest nerd on the planet.” He gestured to himself. “I think it’s cool.”

“Thanks.” She smiled widely, obviously relieved. “I just…I don’t know. I feel like this is going to be one for the ages. I’m really glad I got to see it.”

Barry got a good look at her face. Something about her seemed to familiar. So much so, it was practically radiating off her. She looked to be an asian woman; no, he decided after a moment, biracial. Very youthful with hazel eyes that looked bluish towards the center. Her smile was wide, a mixture of what appeared to be shy and outgoing. She stood a bit shorter than him, about 5’6” if he had to guess. Hair hung low, past her shoulders in long waves.

“I…I’m sorry…” Barry tilted his head. Continued to watch her. Couldn’t shake the feeling. “Have we met before?”

“No!” The young woman jumped backwards. The sparkling water she carried threatened to slosh over. Both reached for it, but the woman expertly moved her hands and followed the momentum of the tray to keep it up. “No, I’m a complete and total stranger. So! Good luck up there.” She grasped his wrist, holding him firmly. Barry glanced down, feeling a tingling sensation run up his wrist. “Remember to say ‘’I do’.”

Despite his confusion, Barry managed to grin. “Have you been talking to Brady?” How many times had he been buzzing around him, pestering him to be sure he knew what he’d say for his vows?

“Not recently.” Once again, the young woman looked startled. Nervous. She dropped her hand from Barry’s wrist and took a large step back. “I’m sorry. I have to go.” She turned on her heel and headed to the nearest guest she could find.

If Barry were more naturally suspicious, he would’ve said something then. Asked her more questions, let him know he was onto her. Onto her about what? He wasn’t sure of at the time. But now…to know what she’d done? To know how many lives she’d put in danger? To know what she’d done to the timeline. Or what was left of it? How did he know he wouldn’t wake up that day and Brady was no longer a boy but suddenly twin boys? Or that he’d married Caitlin instead of Cadence and he hadn’t just finished some sort of an illustrious affair?

At the thought, Barry shook his head, sitting up. He raised his knees, prompting Cadence’s hand to drop from his lap, and he pressed his face into his hands. His cheeks were warm to the touch. He’d hoped he wasn’t getting sick from stress.

He replayed the conversation from before. How she, Alexis, his daughter, barged through the front door at baby Jenna’s party and explained herself, speaking rapidly and enthusiastically to Barry’s question of, “Who are you?”

Alexis smiled awkwardly at her father, placing her hand on her chest. She took in a deep breath to steady herself and said, “My name is Alexis. And I’m your daughter…” she looked to Cadence. “From the future.”

Brady nearly choked on his drink. He sputtered, turning to the side to spit a mouthful of soda to the wooden floor. Joe and Cecil were too stunned to reprimand him for damaging their floor. Brady sputtered, coughing before he finally managed to squeak, voice cracking, spitting it out and coughing hard. “You’re what?” He demanded, glancing at his mother, whose expression rivaled that of his step-father’s.  

“Okay, uh...” Alexis ran her hands through her hair. She closed her eyes, collecting herself.

Barry took the moment to looked toward Cadence, who looked back at him eyebrows lowered, lips pressed hard together. She was angry, he could tell. Not enough for smoke to come from her ears, but angry. Barry blinked in surprise. There were many things to be in the situation; shocked, confused, curious, but not angry. She took her eyes from her husband when Alexis continued.

“Let me explain.” Alexis searched the sea of confused faces, looking for a friendly face. When she found none, she cleared her throat, wringing her fingers together. “I’m Alexis Nash-Allen and I’m the fastest woman alive. Where I’m from, 30 years from now, I’m the guardian of Central City. I’m a speedster.” She smiled at Barry, a smile filled with pride. “Just like my dad. People call me Overdrive.” She then paused and shrugged. “Or Flash Fire.”

At that, Cadence raised an eyebrow. Barry looked to her again. This time she was less angry and more curious. No, Barry understood now. She was watching Alexis closely, trying to determine whether she was telling the truth. He could see his wife’s eyes gently and subtly flicker back and forth over Alexis’s face hoping to find anything that’d prove her to be untrustworthy.

Alexis seemed not to notice as she continued. “Every day, I hope to live up to the legacy of the Flash.” She shrugged once more. “But I’ve still got a long way to go.” Silence punctuated the end of her speech. She looked at the sea of faces once more, smiling, giggling nervously.

Finally, Barry broke the silence. “You’re our daughter?”

“From the future?” Cadence asked to make sure.

“Named Alexis?” Barry continued.

Alexis smiled and nodded.

“Does anybody need a refill?” Cisco’s sudden and loud question broke the stunned silence that followed her admission. He jumped when all eyes turned to glare at him. “Just me?” He squeaked. “No one else?” He practically melted into the couch as he slouched. “A-are you sure? Okay, just me then.” He got up from the couch and headed towards the refreshments. He paused, glanced at Alexis, and grabbed a bottle of champagne, pressing it against his lips to take on a large, gulping swallow.

Alexis, on the other hand, continued to grin around the room. “Cisco Ramon,” she gushed. “Always cutting the tension with a well-timed joke.”

Caitlin finally came from her deep freeze as she listened to the future speedster. “You know our names?” She asked, voice soft with confusion.

“Of course!” Alexis replied. “I know all of you!” She gestured toward Caitlin and Ralph. “Caitlin Snow, my mom’s best friend. Ralph Dibny, my dad’s annoyance.” Ralph turned to Barry with a look that read ‘Really, Rookie?’ while Barry simply opened and closed his mouth like a gaping fish. Alex motioned to Joe and Cecile. “Papa Joe, Mama Cecile, Little Auntie Jenna, Uncle Wally, Aunt Iris, and of course.” She beamed at Brady. “My big brother, Brady!”

Brady paled, looking like he was about to pass out. He turned to Cadence, who looked back at him, their faces screwed up in identical expressions of confusion. He turned back to his future sister, looking at her suspiciously.

“And your nickname is…Overdrive?” Wally asked. His voice sounded curious, but hesitant. Almost as if he were trying to test her name roll off the tip of his tongue.

“Uh, not really.” Alexis waved a finger in the air. “I mean, it is. Sort of. Overdrive is what some of the people of Central City call me. But some others call me Flash Fire…after my mom,” Alexis said, casting Cadence a look out the side of her eye. “Because I’m also a fire meta.”

Caitlin’s head jutted forward at the casual comment. “I’m sorry, what? A what?”

Barry lifted his hand to cover his mouth, then let out a sharp breath, running a hand through his hair. A speedster and a fire meta. A meta-hybrid. The first they’d ever come across. Just as Brady was the first half-meta any of them knew about.

Alexis ignored Caitlin and continued. “And, well, Overdrive makes sense. It’s sort of a nickname you guys gave me. Because, I always move so fast. I always move in overdrive. I’ve always been like that, overdoing things, getting in over my head.” She twisted her mouth to the side, kicking at the floor. “Like, recently. Like, when I helped you break, the STAR Labs satellite last night.” Barry’s eyebrows as his eyes widened. “I just couldn’t help myself from getting involved. But something happened when I did, because I can’t seem to go fast enough to open the speed force.”

Ralph loudly, made a disgusting sound that, maybe, could’ve sounded like someone clearing their throat. Jenna whimpered, her face scrunching up as Cecile quickly started to bounce her. Hoping to soother her cries. “Are we talking about actual time travel here?”

Iris groaned, tilting her head back. “Do you not ever pay attention to our briefings?” She demanded. “Even once? Even a little bit?”

“Wait a minute,” Wally interrupted. “You didn’t teach him about the Legends?”

“No one said anything about time travel,” Ralph pointed out.

At that, everyone started to speak at once, their voices rising over each other’s as they tried to get answers from each other and simultaneously ask questions. All the while, Alexis stood off to the side, smiling awkwardly, intermittently waving her hand and trying to raise her voice over the din that broke out.

It wasn’t until Jenna started to cry that everyone started to calm down. Cecile quickly leapt to her feet and left the room, bouncing Jenna up and down in her arms, cooing quietly as she went.

Alexis clenched her teeth as she grimaced. She waved her hands. ‘I’m sorry, I know how bizarre this must seem meeting your daughter from the future as an adult.” She turned back and forth from her parents to her brother as she spoke rapid-fire. “It wasn’t my plan at all. But I’m kind of stuck here now, and you’re the only ones who can help me so…maybe you know what to do?”

If we knew what to do, we wouldn’t be in this mess, Barry thought. Every time I’ve ever time traveled, I’ve never been stuck there.

“You’re forgetting about Flashpoint.”

If it were any time before, Barry would’ve been startled by Cadence suddenly speaking, voice soft with sleep. But since their powers merged, they’d seemed to read each other’s mind. Not to say it was an actual ability they had, but the hard work that’d paid off after having had to learn how to work together again once Barry’d come back from the Speed Force. A quick look in the heat of battle conveyed a game plan that they’d follow to the T. They didn’t have to look at each other before flinging themselves off a roof or into a dangerous situation knowing the other would be there in that split second of free fall.

They were a unified front, and in that moment, as Cadence turned and rested her chin on her cheekbone, pressing her elbow into her pillow, he truly felt it. He didn’t have to say anything about Flashpoint out loud, didn’t have to mention any of his thoughts about Alexis and the future, and yet she knew everything he was thinking.

“Flashpoint’s the only time you’ve ever been stuck somewhere,” Cadence reminded him. “Future or past.”

“That was by choice,” Barry reminded her. He took in a deep breath. “I decided to stay. Where things were…” he trailed off, thinking of the best way to explain himself. “Different,” he finally decided. Different, because, both of his parents were alive. He had the life he wanted. And, all the same, it was one of the worst lives he could ever had. His friends weren’t his friends, the love of his life didn’t know he existed, his powers were starting to fail. And the only way he’d gotten back was from trusting the person the hated the most in the world.

“Right,” Cadence agreed. Barry’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Cadence let out a quiet sigh through her nose. She looked away for a moment. “I’m just saying it sounds weird.”

“What does?”

“All of it?” Cadence shrugged. “That she’s our daughter, that she’s from the future, that she’s stuck here. It all doesn’t make sense.”

Barry’s eyebrows furrowed even further. He looked her in the eye, searching for an explanation. She looked back at him. Silently prompting him it was his turn to speak his mind. He parted his lips, hesitated. Then rubbed at his eye. “Time travel is a tricky thing. Messing with the timeline…it can have some of the weirdest effects any of us, let alone a speedster, could imagine.”

At that, Cadence lifted an eyebrow. She slowly pushed herself into a sitting position, studying her husband. Almost in disbelief. “You believe that she’s stuck here?” Now it was Barry’s turn to shrug as he repeated, “Time travel is trick.” Cadence conceded that point, “Time travel is tricky, it’s dangerous, it affects a lot of things, but no one’s ever gotten stuck anywhere. Other than Eobard Thawne and the only reason he got stuck here was because his Tachyon device made it so he lost his connection to the Speed Force and it kept him stuck here. Alexis doesn’t seem to have that problem at all.”

“We don’t know that.”

“But it’s convenient, don’t you think?” Cadence insisted. “And you’re already saying she’s our daughter?”

“Did you see her? Yellow lightning like mine, a fire trail like yours? It’s definitely her.”

“But?”

“But, I agree with you, I think we need to send her back to her time.”

SUMMARY— ORION SOMMERS HAS MANY WAYS OF DOING THINGS. WHEN SHE WAS JUST EIGHT SHE WAS PLACED IN AN ASTRONOMY CLUB UNWILLINGLY BY HER MOTHER, WHOM THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL FOR HER SHY DAUGHTER. SHE LOVED CELESTIAL OBJECTS FOR MANY REASONS, ONE BEING THEY ALL LOOKED THE SAME, BUT ON THE INSIDE THEY WERE DIFFERENT. ONE COULD BE HOTTER OR OLDER THAN THE OTHER AND SHE THOUGHT HUMANS WERE JUST THE SAME. SHE SOON CAME TO FIND THAT HER FAMILY WHO LOOKED LIKE EVERYONE ELSES WAS DIFFERENT, JUST LIKE THE STARS. THROUGHOUT HER LIFE SHE FOUND THINGS OUT THE HARD WAY, BY BEING CURIOUS. FOR INSTANCE, WHEN SHE WAS FOURTEEN SHE FOUND HER FATHER PASSED OUT IN HIS STUDY WITH A NEEDLE IN HIS RIGHT HAND, AT LEAST THE FIRST TIME IT CAME AS A SHOCK.

She walked through the pouring rain, she of course had to forget her umbrella today. Her hair was frizzed up after she took the time to straighten it. She was annoyed with the weatherman at this point. She grabbed the blue beanie out of her bag and placed it on her head. She lived about five minutes from the coffee shop that her and her friends met at weekly, but the rain was causing traffic on the sidewalk. She had been out of town the previous week, so Alex thought the group lunch should be a day earlier in celebration of her return. There was really no reason for the weekly meetings since they all usually saw one another any other day of the week, but it was still good to see everyone at once. They always went to the same small cafe, it was cute. Run by and older lady and her grandson, whom they never saw. 

It had a certain homey feeling that kept the group coming back each week. It might’ve just been the record player in the corner and the amazing cinnamon rolls, but it was a very welcoming place. Orion was in her second year of college, and she was very glad she found a place like the cafe. She continued walking down the sidewalk hoping she wasn’t the last one there, which was usually the case. She turned the corner and was only a few feet away from the warm building. She saw her friends in there already from where she stood. “Shit.” She breathed out. 

 The bell rang above her head when she walked through the door, and the smell of coffee and cinnamon flooded her nose. “Hello dear.” Mary, the owner of the cafe, spoke from the counter. “Good afternoon.” She spoke and smiled in her direction. “The usual?” Mary wrote on a pad already knowing the answer. “Yes please.”

She walked over to the table that her friends were seated. “Look who’s finally here.” Romil spoke from his seat by Alex. “It was raining!” She slid next to Suri who pulled her shoulders in for a hug. “Glad you could make it.” The girl spoke besides her. “Oh, I got your notes!” Alex reaches over to pull something out of her bag. She placed the stapled papers in front of Orion. “I printed them out for you to make it easier, but knowing you you’ll probably rewrite them anyway.” Alex smiled at her. “You are a lifesaver Alex, a true saint!” Orion dramatically blew her friend kisses. 

“So, how’ve you been bug?” Suri reached out and placed her hand on the girl’s she was speaking to. Even though she was being discrete Orion could hear the underlying tone, and suddenly the whole table was looking at her. “It was hard.” She cracked. “I mean I knew it would be, but I didn’t expect it to be that hard. It was tough on Iris to. I think that was the hardest part though. I think I’ll be fine though, might take time to get back in the swing of things but I’m okay.” She gave a tight lipped smiles and a nod to the table. “Thanks for telling us at least, we know how hard that can be sometimes. We are gonna help you through this, okay?” Alex reaches over and put her hand on top of Suri’s. “Guess it’s my turn. Love you, Orion.” He put his hand on Alex’s while everyone cracked into giggles. 

“Here’s your order sweets!” Mary slid her coffee and banana muffin on the table. “Thank you, Mary.” She smiled at the lady. “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you guys! My grandson is finally coming back from his tour tomorrow and he will be helping here. He’s a bit older than all of you but I think you all will get along very well.” She smiled at all of them. “Tour?” Suri leaned forward. Orion elbowed her in the side for being so blunt. “Yes, he’s a musician. Very good too. He’s just getting started but I have a feeling he’ll be as big as Bob Dylan someday.” She pointed to the Bob Dylan poster above their table. “I’m sure he will, we’d be glad to meet him. Romil needs another male friend, to tell all his boy secrets to.” Alex patted her boyfriends cheek. “I do not have boy secrets!” He shook his head. “He’s going to love you guys! If you all come around tomorrow let me know so I can introduce you lot!” She walked from the table. 

“So that’s why he’s never here.” Suri spoke from her spot. “I wonder if he’s any good.” Orion swallowed the bite of her muffin. “Has to be, Mary does not lie.” She shook her head. “Don’t know if he’s Bob Dylan good though.” She shrugged. “Wonder if he’s going to school.” Romil questioned out loud. “Guess we will find out tomorrow.” Suri reached over and pinched off of Orion’s muffin. 

“Do you have to go to the library tomorrow?” Alex directed her eyes to Orion. “Yeah, at like ten though. We could meet here at three?” She worked at a library as an assistant, it was a pretty good pay for her and her one bedroom apartment. Plus, she loved working there. “Sounds good to me.” Alex smiled as did the rest of them. 

When Orion was in her freshman year at college she met Suri. She accidentally ran into the girl on her commute to her class and then really, the rest was history. They found out they had a class together, and decided to put together a study group. Orion was later introduced to Alex, then the study group got bigger. Romil didn’t come around until about eight months ago — he was introduced as Alex’s friend and soon became her boyfriend. The rest of the group was single. Suri hadn’t had a girlfriend since junior year of highschool, and well Orion, had never had a boyfriend. She was pretty sure she was straight at this point, just not dateable. 

She mainly wanted to focus on her grades, at least that’s what she told herself. Sometimes when things would get hard she did wonder why no one’s ever wanted to date her. She thought she was a good person, and maybe not the best looking person but she wasn’t all around unattractive. Her mom was more worried about it than her it seemed. Always asking her when she was gonna bring someone home for her to meet. It was nerve wracking really. Iris had already had two significant others, and Orion wasn’t even close to one. After the small meeting with her friends she left the cafe then made her way back to her small apartment. 

She didn’t have any work, that she knew of anyway. So she grabbed a glass of orange juice and plopped on the couch. She wanted to google Mary’s grandson, but was that weird? She didn’t even remember his name through, and she wasn’t completely sure it even came up in the conversation. She reached over for her laptop and pulled up netflix. She was recently obsessed with ‘Supernatural’, so she clicked resume on the episode she was on. It wasn’t long until she felt her head tilting towards the armrest on her couch and her eyes were fluttering with sleepiness.

The walk to the library was a usual one for Orion. She spent four hours there five days a week, shelving books and sometimes tagging the new ones. When she wasn’t needed she was scanning the astronomy section of the shelves. There was a little corner in the back of the library that she also hung around, listening to music or doing work. She was usually alone in the corner of the library, but today she wasn’t. She had just got done replacing textbooks for the new students when she walked to her corner. The corner of books was shared between the music and astronomy section, and as she walked over she took notice of the tall boy scanning over the music section. She stood there for a few seconds questioning if she should say anything or not. When he noticed her his eyebrows rose a bit and she was now eye to eye with striking green eyes. She took a moment before she said something to him so she wouldn’t fuck up her words. “Hi.” She shyly said with a small smile. “Hello, do you need me to move somewhere else?” He smiled back slightly and put his thumb in between the pages of the book he was reading to bookmark it.

“Oh no, you’re fine! I’m just usually the only one over in this section, but i can share.” She jokingly stated. She noticed the tattoos caressing his arms, she noticed the rose first. “I’m Orion.” She reached out a hand that wasn’t holding her Psych book and he took it in his large one and shook it up and down, “Harry.” She took that time to notice he had a english accent, and a very deep raspy voice that slipped through her ears like honey. “Did you just transfer here? Sorry if I’m prying, i’ve just never seen you around,” She tilted her head at him a little, and he shook his head and smiled. “No, you’re fine. I did transfer though my grandmother lives around here, and I wanted to be closer to her.” Suddenly everything clicked. “Wait, is your grandmother Mary?” Her eyebrows furrowed. “Yeah she is. You know her?” He shook his head. “Yeah actually, my friends and I have a hangout spot at her cafe. She’s an angel, truly. She was actually talking to us about you, it only just now clicked that you’re the Harry she was talking about.” She giggled, and he smiled with her. “Well, here I am. She loves to talk about me when I’m not around so hopefully she didn’t say anything too bad about me.” His lips quirked up in a smirk.

“She’s way too nice to say anything bad! We were supposed to meet you tonight actually, but guess I’m just lucky.” She said it with no double-meaning. The two of them stayed like that for about an hour, talking about everything and anything. He told her about his recent tour and she learned that he really is a passionate musician. He asked her about her friends, and she kindly explained that they were a little wild at first but easy to get used to. He seemed to think she was pretty funny, and Orion took it as a compliment every time he laughed at one of her jokes. Time went by and she soon realized that it was time for her to be off. “Oh shit, I just got off. Time flies. I’ll see you later Harry,” She smiled and waved as she walked out of their corner. 

Thank God he was nice, she continued to walk away. She hoped she concealed her nerves around him well enough, she wasn’t that good around new people, but she didn’t see to freak him out that much. The walk back to her apartment was a pretty short one. The traffic on the sidewalks wasn’t as bad today, which was a relief to Orion. She hated when she had to trip over her own feet to ignore stepping on others’. She passed the same animal adoption center she passed everyday and stopped at the window to wave at the sweet creatures. She always loved living in New York. It was always sweet to her. Despite the stereotypes of everyone from New York being rude and the rain being constant, she found the diversity in it beautiful. She loved how you could walk down the street and find an animal adoption center, then turn the corner and find a bar. 

When she reached her apartment steps she reached into her bag and dug her key out. It was nearing fall and she was debating decorating for Halloween. Usually, some local kids would knock on her door, but it being a college town there wasn’t many. The creaky door opened and she kicked off her shoes as she entered. She had about an hour until she had to meet her friends and it occurred to her that she would also soon be seeing Harry again. She lit a fall-ish candle in her kitchen and pulled out a two dollar turkey sandwich from the deli down the street from her fridge. She felt a little lonely in her one-bedroom apartment. Sometimes she debated moving out and getting a roommate, or even just getting a pet. She walked over to her bookshelf and picked up her recent favorite, ‘Call Me By Your Name’. She always loved a good romance novel, and this was one of the best. 

She decided she would read for thirty minutes then head to the cafe, she also really hoped Harry would like her friends. `

PAIRING: Gladiolus Amicitia x Amalthea Claudius (F!OC)

It’s been days since he left for the Tempering Grounds. Even with the anxiety and worry sipping through her, she had never stopped hoping he’d return home to her in one piece.   

“Gladio will come back, don’t you worry…” Jared assured Amalthea as she sat on the verandah. Cor had given her the orders to stay in Lestallum until they got back. For Gladio’s sake, and by Cor’s orders, she remained in Lestallum. A few days after Cor and Gladio left, whenever her phone rang, she’d get excited and answered the phone quickly thinking it was Gladio. 

“Princess, are you at the hotel?” Ignis called her, one day. Disappointed that it wasn’t Gladio, Amalthea expressed her worry for Gladio to Ignis. “I am on my way there with Noct and Prompto. Then, we will talk.”

Amalthea hung up and rested her chin on her arms. She sighed and that somewhat worried Iris. She has never seen Amalthea disheartened that way before. “Amalthea…” she called, resting her hand on Amalthea’s shoulder. She could hear sniffling and did not want to bother Amalthea with thoughts of Gladio. She knew Amalthea cared deeply for Gladio. “If you need me, I will be in my own room.”

She noticed Iris’ movement away from her. “Iris…” she called, her voice still ringing in sadness. Iris turned and saw Amalthea’s smile, although weak but there was a sign of hope in her green eyes. “I am sorry for making you worry…”

“It is okay. I know you are worried for Gladdy but you don’t have to worry. He will come home. He will always find a way back to you,” Iris chirped. Those very words made Amalthea smile at the 15-year-old’s optimism. She wished she had what Iris had for seeing the brighter side of things. 

Half an hour after Iris left, there was a soft knock on her door. She opened the door and saw Noctis smiling at her. “Hello, Amalthea…” he said, bringing the girl into his arms. “Ignis told us you needed some cheering up…”

Noctis saw Amalthea as an older sister, having grown up together in the Citadel. He remembered those days where she’d be by his side listening to his problems and this was the perfect opportunity to return the favour. “Hey, Noct. How was the journey getting the Mythril?” she asked, forcing a smile on her face.

“Amalthea, we know you are worried. Don’t force yourself to look happy…” Prompto said. Amalthea knew she could not find her way out with the guys. She had no choice but to tell them.

Ignis leant back in his chair and took a sip of his coffee. “Princess, I am sure Gladio will come back as soon as he can. He did not tell us where he was going. Did he tell you where he was going though?”

Amalthea hesitated from telling them. She promised not to tell anyone, not even Iris. “He didn’t tell me anything. All he told me was that he and Cor were going somewhere to find something. There were no details and it is unlike him.” Amalthea sat on the bed and buried her face in her palms. Noctis sat next to Amalthea while Prompto wrapped his arm around her shoulder. 

“Please, Amalthea, don’t cry!” Prompt panicked as soon as she started sobbing. None of them has ever seen Amalthea that way. She had never shown her sadness or worry for Gladio, even during her younger days. She did not even look up when Prompto tried to console her. “I’ve never seen her like this,” Prompto told Noctis and Ignis. 

A warm pair of hands touched hers. “Hey, Babe…” a familiar voice greeted. Amalthea looked up and saw Gladio kneeling before her. Lost for words, she threw her arms around his neck and held him tightly. “Worried about me, I see…” he smiled.

“Of course, dummy!” she sobbed into the crook of his neck. He pushed her off from him gently and wiped her tears with his thumb. She caressed his face and noticed a new scar on his forehead. He hissed when she touched it. She noticed there was a scar on his body as well. 

“We will leave you two to reconcile,” Ignis said, forcing Prompto and Noctis to leave Amalthea and Gladio. Ignis had always been observant to what was best for Gladio and Amalthea. In this case, he knew it would escalate to something passionate as he was able to see the two lost in the midst of a lover’s reunion.

“I am sorry for making you worry,” Gladio apologised, stroking her cheek. Her green eyes gazed deep into his ember eyes. It felt surreal to her but the warmth emitted from him under the touch of her skin confirmed that it was him before her. He leant in to kiss her lips. “I am home now, Babe…” he assured, while his hands ran down to her waist, slowly slipping underneath the fabric of her top.

She could feel his calloused hands running against the skin of her stomach. The familiar warmth assured her security. She missed the way he touched her with his hands and his lips. “Gladio…” she whispered, and that made him stop. She ran her fingers over the cut over his stomach then over the cut over his forehead. She pressed her cheeks against his chest and felt his heart beating. “Did it hurt?” she asked, her voice cracking.

“It did but it is okay now that you are here.” 

“Oh…” she sighed, sitting up. He held her and placed her on his lap so she’d straddle him. 

“Babe…” he called. Their eyes met, though hers were welling with tears. “I love you…” he said. She cupped his cheeks, pulling him up to kiss her. There was not a care in the world, as long as they were together. He took her top off and threw it onto the floor. He paused and admired her body, his fingers running over her skin. “You are beautiful…” he whispered, pressing his lips against hers while undoing her jeans.

His eyes filled with lust, studying her body. It felt like the first time all over again. She felt like there were butterflies fluttering in her stomach. As they kissed, her fingers undid his belt and trousers, peeling it off him. 

She freed his aching member from its confinement and before her eyes, it stood majestically. She stroke his hardness, making him moan. She watched his body language before taking him into her mouth. He bit his lower lips when the warmth of her mouth surround his girth. It has been a while since they got engaged in an intercourse and there he was in a room with the woman he loved. He watched her head bobbing up and down his shaft, while her hand stimulated his tightening sacks.

He lowered himself down towards her slick folds. The flick of his tongue at her sensitive bud made her jerk. His tongue did its magic, giving her the pleasure he had wanted to give her. He hungered for her, he wanted to give her the world - if possible. At that moment, nothing mattered anymore as long as they were together.

“Gladio…” she moaned. She could feel herself reaching her peak but he continued to pleasure her. She kept calling for him but he continued to lick her;  faster and slightly rougher. It was hard to control her volume and body reaction but he stopped as soon as she squirted her juices. She noticed the way he looked at her as he smacked his lips. She knew he was not going to show any mercy. 

He could not take it anymore. He needed to be inside her. With no further warning, he pushed himself deep inside her, sliding in and out of her, slowly at first. The woman beneath him was the only one for him and he swore to love her no matter what. Nothing in the world could separate them, not even the Six themselves. “You are tight!” he grunted, pushing himself in deeper. 

Amalthea wrapped her legs around his waist and she knew that drove Gladio crazy for his face told it all. Her nails dug into his strong back, she could feel herself reaching another orgasm. He thrust hard and deep, sending her into oblivion. He, too, was almost reaching his peak. Bringing herself up, she pressed her lips against his, their tongues prancing within each other’s mouth. “Gladio… There!” she moaned as he hit her sensitive spot. His movement got faster as she arched her back and grabbed the sweat-drenched sheets beneath her. Neither one of them was able to string proper words as they moaned from the intensity of their intercourse. 

“I am coming, babe…” he groaned, as he slapped himself deep unleashing his warm seeds. “There you go...” 

He emptied himself inside her before pulling himself out of her. Gently, he fell beside her. He watched her chest rise and fall as she catches her breath. She turned her head to face him and smiled. Pulling her into his arms, he held her close to him, refusing to let her go. 

“Gladio… What if…” she said, looking up at him, after a couple of minutes. Poor guy looked perplexed but her smile indicated something. Gladio noticed it was not one of her mischievous smiles. 

“What if?” he asked, tensed. 

“What if one day, the next time we meet, I tell you that a behemoth impregnate me?” she asked, the cheekiness rang in her voice and her emerald eyes sparkled. 

Behemoth was what she called him, playfully and that very question sounded sweet to his ears. “I assure you that he will be the happiest behemoth alive,” Gladio said, kissing her forehead. He meant every word and he wanted her to bear his children. Only her. His mind drifted into thoughts of the two of them having children. He had dreams of bringing them out camping and bracing the wilderness. His body relaxed while his hands stroked her shoulder. Out of the blues, he suddenly remembered what he wanted to ask her. “Baby… Were we loud?”

“Quite honestly, I don’t know…” she chuckled, followed by a yawn. The chill wind coming through the opened window cradled the exhausted lovers into slumber while the crickets serenade them deep into the night.

The next morning, Amalthea opened her eyes to see Gladio smiling at her. “Good morning, beautiful…” he greeted, pressing his lips against her forehead. She stretched and grinned at him. “We better get ready to meet with the others.”

After they got ready, the others were by the fountain outside the hotel. They looked like they did not have any proper sleep. “Morning fellas!” Gladio chirped but Prompto shot him a look of dismay. “What is your problem?”

“We did not get a wink of sleep last night as there were mating behemoths in the room next door!” Noctis complained, eying both Gladio and Amalthea, who looked at each other and blushed. Prompto yawned out loud and continued complaining about lacking sleep while Ignis looked around grumpily. 

Gladio wrapped his arm around Amalthea and laughed. That certainly answered the question he asked Amalthea before they fell asleep.

Soo this was long overdue. I don’t really read fanfic that often, and when I do it is mostly things other people have reccomended to me. So i’ve always wanted to create my own rec list to return the favour, but somehow never got around to it. So yay years later, here’s at least a start. Will probably sort it better if i update it. Grudgingly „Harry White“  accepts the free post as divination teacher at hogwarts and starts befriending his female interdimensional counterpart, Iris Potter, all while wanting to get revenge on Dumbledore and trying not to get too involved with Tonks… The beginning is a bit grizzly but overall it is definitely  more on the humorous side, and also poking fun at so many fandom chliches! (Last updated 6 months ago, so there is still hope…)

Now he’s stuck as a painting in the RoR, with a surprisingly sane, young and healthy looking Tom Riddle as the only visitor. The painting only decipts a bleak room, the door is shut and strange shadows lurk in the 4th wall whenever the RoR is not used. There is also an old diary there, speaking of monsters just outside of the room… – very interesting start, tom and harry haven’t really interacted yet but the descriptions of the timelessness in the painting and the “unexplained horror” vibe are fab. Loki is not going full villain like in the thor movie, but instead is more of a chaotic-neutral kind of guy more keeping the supervillainery for appearance’s sake and the occasional meddling to aleviate the boredom. But then he takes the meddling a bit too far, and karme comes to bite him in the butt. Big time. I really don’t want to say more about the plot bc it is so brilliant and original. Just read it. Also, have a quote (this is only a footnote, actually, so imagine what the real fic mus be like): “yes, he had filled several little leather-bound diaries with childish scrawls of red ink that read things like, “Die Thor” and “You never really accepted me!” And then he’d attended a few sessions of primal scream therapy and taken a modern dance course at the local community college. Between finding a constructive way to express his anger and making some lovely friends that he still had tea with every Wednesday afternoon while they chatted manicures, fashion, and lap dogs, he felt much more comfortable in his own skin these days. All it had really taken was escaping the poisonously macho atmosphere of Asgard, which according to Kevin was something like living in Omaha and not being interested in Football.“

But in this story, light talks all his steps through with his inner voices (like „Test It“ aka „Death“, Moral which everyone kinda ignores and also could be called Caution, or Practice). Its less cracky than it sounds now, i promise. Rather, it’s a very interesting character study bc it doesn’t just paint Kira as a sociopath with a god-complex (well, that too -) but explains his actions as being very, very human (while not excusing them). Seems to be dead at 10 chapters but i still would recommend reading it bc its brilliant, the style is a bit like hpmor’s. It explains the thought processes of everyone (L, Light, Misa, Ryuk, all that jazz)) very thoroughly and is also quite amusing (light comparing hinself to batman consantly, e.g.). When you read about fictional characters they can fall kind of flat, not that they’re not interesting but you always know they’re not really like you. Light seems less scary, L less creepy and Misa… well Misa always seems insane, even in the Manga. So Anna Jones is fucking terrified, curses herself for not paying better attention to the details in the manga and has to consider her survival and the prices she’s willing to pay. (Yes, this is the Self-Insert Trope but played so well. Also very philosophical. Ongoing. Also, go read everything by this author while you’re at it.)
