I didn't think about the entire story i just wanted to draw him wearing this but i think it goes something like corazon dies, law gets caught and is brainwashed by doflamingo and in the end he becomes like another version of him. Yeah..

NIHILISM YIPEEE!!

Nihilism is well known to be “depressing” for most people. I mean, it really seems so when you try to make everything meaningless. Meaning in itself can seem really important, as we people have made meaning an integral part of our society. Such as when you would ask some people what they would do if they had no meaning to their life, it’s as if they can’t find an answer afterwards. So why is meaning so much ingrained into our lives?

I’ve always wondered this in a way as to why meaning was plastered everywhere. It’s pretty obvious from the things we may observe: religion, marketing, consumerism, education, etc.

From the moment we’re born, there’s already a need for meaning when initially it might not have been there. Such as with people pondering the question of “What is the meaning of life?”. Well, what if there wasn’t any meaning to life in the first place?

Well, sure, you could then recognize that meaning as a concept isn’t objective. It’s a subjective concept made by those who are aware of their being. It almost seems as if the meaning of something is essential. Generally, throughout philosophy, people have treated it as if humans must thrive. But is it as necessary as it may seem? With fatalism, determinism, and the purpose that everyone is given to achieve something great in their life, it can seem so. But the reality it’s simpler than that.

We can try to view meaning from more of an existential lens, where instead of meaning being something that exists, it’s something that we assign to ourselves. At the same time, we recognize that meaning is an imaginary concept made by humans. But at the same time, doesn’t it cloud our judgment to think about meaning in such an obsessive way? Does meaning necessarily have to be interlinked with personal value?

Personally me I wouldn’t say so. The way I see meaning and value are two different things. For meaning, I’d say it’s more of an abstract concept that doesn’t exactly exist. Despite humans creating meaning for themselves , I simply don’t believe that meaning exists. Everything is “meaningless” in conclusion. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that because an object is meaningless, it makes it have less value. 

Let’s think about it this way. You have a book that you like and enjoy reading. The book doesn’t have any meaning in the big scheme of things and doesn’t realistically bring any meaning to you. Sure, you might assign meaning to it, but really, it doesn’t have any meaning. It’s only an arbitrary variable you assigned to it because of how you feel towards it. At the same time, if the book has no meaning, it doesn’t mean that the book has no value to you. The book does have value for you. You enjoyed it, it brought enrichment to you, and in general, it gained value for you due to those reasons. The book in this context has little meaning if we think about it in terms of rejecting the meaning of all kinds. Despite this, it still has value.

That’s exactly what some forms of nihilism are — at least for me, that has been my perspective for most things. Nihilism can often be beneficial, as ironic as it may seem at first. But nihilism strips the need of having meaning and offers a more grounded perspective about things. So yeah, in general, I’d say nihilism due to this can be a pretty fun school of thought to have sometimes.

 - cami would probably go as Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, like the fem version (if you’ve seen it yk 😭)

 - not much, mainly politics but she doesn’t get into that unless you really say something she doesn’t agree with, but she keeps her opinions to herself mostly.

29) What's a secret about your OC that no one knows about? Something you couldn't quite fit into your story or character sheet.

 - cami was behind this big drama that happened in her 8th grade friend group, which caused a huge fallout, she accidentally caused it all because she didn’t like one girl, it’s not her proudest moment, she will carry that to the grave
