Sufism in the Philippines
Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim In The Name of Allah the Most Gracious the Most Merciful
Allahumma salli `alaa Sayyidinaa Muhammadini ‘l-faatihi limaa ughliq, wa ‘l-khaatimi limaa sabaq, naasiri ‘l-haqqi bi ‘l-haqq, wa ‘l-haadi ilaa Siraatika ‘l-Mustaqeem, wa `alaa aalihi haqqa qadrihi wa miqdaarihi ‘l-`azheem. O Allah, bless our Master Muhammad, who opened what was closed and sealed what was before. He makes the truth victorious by the truth and he is the guide to Your Straight Path. And bless his Household as it befits his immense stature and splendor.
Allahumma inni as-aluka fahmal-nabiyyen wa hifdhal mursaleen wal malaaika al-muqarrabeen. O Allah! I ask You for the understanding of the prophets and the memory of the messengers, and those nearest to You.
This paper aims to expound on Sufism, it’s concepts, history in the Philippines and Muslims who are antagonist of it.
Sufism, also known as the science of Tasawwuf, has many meanings attached to it both by its practitioners and enemies. It is widely known definition came from two root words which are Safa or Purity and Suwf, referring to a wool cloth. In simple terms, Tasawwuf is the science of Ihsan and purification of one’s self for the love of Allah. It involves certain Tariqas, practices and litanies. The counterpart of Tariqas in the catholic faith are the spiritual orders like the Jesuits,Franciscans and Dominicans. Many tariqas now exist in the Philippines with their respective followers scattered around the country. Despite of their peace-loving nature they have been subject of abuse from the Wahhabis.
Contrary to what the enemies of Tasawwuf believe, Sufism is not a sect in Islam. It is one of the Islamic sciences and a treasure of the Muslim Nation. Most of the Sufis are Sunnis while only minority of Shias claim to be affiliated to it. As Sayyiduna Shaykh Muhammad Adil Rabbani, the spiritual leader of the Naqshbandi Aliya path, said: “Sufism is the essence of Islam.” It is also important to understand that the terms used by Sufis did not exist in the time of the Prophet Muhammad alayhis salatu was salam yet its essence already existed since his time. One of these terms is Tariqa which is an Arabic word for path,way or order. The Sufi masters have emphasized the importance of following a Shaykh and a path from their saying “Whoever does not have a Shaykh, his shaykh is shaytan.” Non-Muslims would relate more to Tariqa if we translate it to mean as spiritual order. There have been many tariqas that existed throughout the Islamic history but now there are only 41 major tariqas. The 4 acknowledged by many scholars as the main tariqas are the Naqshbandi,Qadiri,Shadhili and Chisti.
In these different tariqas, certain practices and litanies are done by the mureeds as recommended by their Murshids. These involves voluntary ritual acts of worship, prayers upon the Prophet Muhammad alayhis salatu was salam, remembrance of Allah and litanies of the saints. Along with these remolding one’s character to be in line with the prophetic character is also done. This actions are in reference to the Hadith Qudsi: My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts of worship so that I shall love him. When I love him, I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him…” Hadith Qudsi (Sahih al-Bukhari, 81:38:2), And the Ayah: Qul ateeAAoo Allaha waalrrasoola fa-in tawallaw fa-inna Allaha la yuhibbu alkafireena( Say: “Obey God And His Apostle”: But if they turn back, God loveth not those Who reject Faith.) 3:31. Some known practices of Sufis in our country are Mawlid, Gatherings for Isra wal Mi’raj, Reciting surah Yasin on Nisfu Sha’ban, Visiting the graves of the pious ones and Tahlil Arwah. These practices have been preserved until now despite the increasing adherents of Wahhabism who are very antagonistic of it claiming these are non-Islamic practices.
Sufism arrived to the country with the arrival of the Sharif Sab’ah or Lumpang Basih. These were the Sufi missionaries who brought Islam to the Philippines. Since then some concepts of Tasawwuf became mixed with the existing spiritual beliefs of the people in the south. These led to  the development of Indigenous Islam or Ilmuh kamaasan. It is best described by Professor Yusuf Morales as “an indigenized amalgamation of Islam from the preceding schools of thought and local cultural customs. This is actually contextualized and simplified according to how the elders have understood Islam and the process of Islamization of the communities.”  This, in turn, became a treasure of the Moro culture and tradition. Among the Tausugs of Sulu, it became  a heirloom for the succeeding generations.
Accordingly,  Ilmuh kamaasan is so wide and each family or master of it possesses a unique part of it. Nowadays, there’s a decline of its practitioners mainly because of two reasons: The growing numbers of Wahhabis who declare it as Bid’ah or Shirk and the immaturity of the present generation to carry such special knowledge. According to Sayyiduna Shaykh Khaled Abou El Fadl the rise of the Wahhabi ideology was due to the wealth of Saudi Arabia and retreat of the very rich cultural elements in the Islamic tradition like the Turks, Malays and Filipinos from the mainstream picture. This is because the nuance that they brought to the picture and the traditions of spirituality are remarkably rich nuances
There are already many practitioners of Sufism in the country coming from different social status. The Tariqas that are present in the country are the Naqshbandi Aliya, Naqshbandi Chisti, Qadiri, Rifai, Shattari, Rifai Qadiri Shadhili, Tijani and Khalwati. Among them the Naqshbandi Aliya tariqa have the most followers which are in Manila, Cebu,Zamboanga, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. The ameer of the Naqshbandi Aliya tariqa in the country is Sidi Khalid Ismael and there are also separate Kadeems for the different areas.  Some of the Sunni scholars from Temboro are Naqshbandi Chistis.  There are also Sufis from the students and alumnis of known universities like the ADMU, ADZU and WMSU.
The Sufis and the science of Tasawwuf was widely accepted by Sunnis in the country. However, with the rise of Wahhabism, there are already many Muslim Filipinos who are against it. This is primarily due to the misconceptions, lies and fabrications of the Wahhabis. They labeled Sufis and Sufism as either Kafir,Mushrik or Bid’ah. This is not surprising since Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab along with the Wahhabi scholars after him committed many atrocities to the Sufis. Some of these were the desecration of the graves of the Saints, abuses to the Sufis and murders of Sufi masters. Even the ISIS killed many Sufi scholars in the places they have invaded. The Wahhabis and Salafis have this audacity to speak of Tasawwuf when they have not even a single knowledge of it.  These arises from the bigotry and zealotry they have engrossed themselves with.
To illustrate a point of what was stated, let us refer to a simple analogy. Common sense would dictate that if you need to consult someone of a sickness you have you would go to a doctor and not an engineer, likewise, if you need to consult someone for constructing a building you would go to an engineer and not a doctor. Additionally, even someone would read all the books of a certain field of study this would not qualify him to speak of it without its proper understanding. Information and knowledge are different things, especially in our present time wherein most are overwhelmed by information yet deprived of true knowledge. Knowledge, Understanding and Practice are also distinct from each other. One may possess one but be deficient of the two.  In the science of Tasawwuf, practice and experience are the core of it. One is not a Sufi if he has not tasted nor experienced the secret of this exalted science. Therefore, non-Sufis should refrain from talking about Tasawwuf, be humble enough to its practitioners, conquer their zealotry as well as their bigotry and prove their claim that they only wished for the well-being of the Muslims.
This should make us realize of the value of Sufism in our country and our present situation today. Sufism,  the essence of Islam,  which is based from the love of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad alayhis salatu was salam is effective for countering and preventing violent extremism. There have been no Sufi who became a terrorist and called for the killing of their brothers in humanity. The Sufi masters have always highlighted ,both in practice and in teaching, that Sufis should be of service to God’s creation. They have also been good exemplars for tolerance and compassion to everyone despite the differences and flaws we all have. It would also be beneficial in the character reformation of our youths today.  This would improve their Adab to everyone, especially to their families which is the foundation of our community. This would then lead to the improvement of our society.

Salawaatullaahi ta`alaa wa malaa’ikatihi wa anbiyaaihi wa rusoolihi wa jami`ee khalqihi `alaa Muhammad wa `alaa aali Muhammad `alayhi wa `alayhimu ‘s-salaam wa rahmatullaahi ta`alaa wa barakatuh.
Wa radi-Allahu tabaraka wa ta`alaa `an-saadaatinaa as-haabi rasoolillaahi ajma`een. Wa `ani ‘t-taabi`eena bihim bi-ihsaanin, wa `ani ‘l-a’immati ’l-mujtahedeen al-maadeen, wa `ani ‘l-`ulamaai ’l-muttaqeen, wa `ani ‘l-awliyaai ‘s-saaliheen, wa `an mashayikhinaa fi ‘t-tareeqatin naqshibandiyyati ‘l-`aliyyah, qaddas Allaahu ta`ala arwaahahumu ’z-zakiyya, wa nawwarr Allaahu ta`alaa adrihatamu ’l-mubaaraka, wa `adallaahu ta`alaa `alaynaa min barakaatihim wa fuyoodatihim daa’iman wa ‘l-hamdulillaahi rabbi ‘l-`alameen. Upon the Noblest of all Creation, our Master Muhammad, blessings.

Blessings of God (Exalted is He!), of His angels, of His prophets, of His Emissaries, and of all creation be upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad; may the peace and mercy of God (Exalted is He!) and His blessings be upon him and upon them. May God, the Blessed and Most High, be pleased with every one of our Masters, the Companions of the Emissary of God, and with those who followed them in excellence, and with the early masters of juristic reasoning, and with the pious scholars, and the righteous saints and with our Shaykhs in the exalted Naqshbandi Order. May God (Exalted is He!) sanctify their pure souls, and illuminate their blessed graves. May God (Exalted is He!) return to us of their blessings and overflowing bounty, always. Praise belongs to God, the Lord of the worlds, al-Fatihah.

How does a nikah be solemnized? What is said and what prays are recited?
Nikah is performed as follows;
The person (an Imam or a sensible person) who is going to solemnize nikah firstly writes the name of the girl going to marry, for instance he writes “Fatima bint-i Ahmed”.
Then he writes the name of the agent of the girl, for example “Ali bin Zayd”.
Then he writes the names of the two testifiers.
Then he writes the name of the boy going to marry, for example “Omar bin Hussein”.
Then he writes the name of the agent of the boy, if the boy is not present.
Then he writes the amount of mahr-i mueccel (mahr paid in advance) and mahr-i muaccel (mahr paid on account) by asking both parts. (mahr: the money which is supposed to be given by the man as a right to the woman)
Then he seeks refuge in Allah and recites A’udhu-Bismillah (A’udhubillahiminasshaytanirrajimm-Bismillahirrahmanirrahim) and says; “Alhamdu lillahillezi zavvacal arvaha bil ashbah ve ahallannikaha ve harramessifah. Vassalatu vassalamu ala rasulena Muhammadinillezi bayyana-l-harame va-l-mubah ve ala Alihi va Aashabi-hillezina hum ahlussalahi valfalah”.
Then he recites again A’udhu-Bismillah and reads 32nd verse of the Surah An- Nur (24th chapter of the Quran) and after he reads “Sadakallahuladhim”. Then he says; “Kale rasulallah, “An-nikahu sunneti faman ragiba an sünneti falaysa minni” sadaka Resulullah. ‘Bismillahi va ala sunnet-i rasulillah’”
Then he asks the agent of the girl;
“By the order of Allah and the sunnah of Rasulallah and the rule (ijtiha) of the Imam of our sect (Abu Hanife) and the testimony of present Muslims, do you agree, since you are the agent of the girl, to give Fatima bint-i Ahmad in marriage to Omar bin Hussein, who promise to give such amount of mahr-i mueccel and mahr-i muaccel?”
Then he reads the same pray by starting from (Bismillahi va ala) and asks the agent of the boy going to marry; “And since you are the agent of the boy going to marry, do you agree to take Fatima bint-i Ahmad in marriage to Omar bin Hussein by agreeing to give such amount of mahr-i mueccel and mahr-i muaccel?”
Three times the questions are asked to the parts and the answers are received from them. Then the prayer given below is recited;
(Allahummac’al hadhal akta maymunan mubarakan vacal beyna-huma ulfetan va mahabbeten va karara va la tac’al beyna-huma nafratan va fitnetan va ferara. Allahumma allif baynahuma kema allafta beyna Adama va Havva. Va kama allafta beyna Muhammadin va Khatica-tal-Kubra va Aişa -ta umm-il muminine . Va beyna Aliyyin va Fatima-taz-Zahra. Allahumma ati la-huma evladan salihan ve umran tavelan va rizkan vasian. Rabbena hab lana min azvacina va zurriyatina kurrata ayunin vac’alna lil muttekina imama. Rabbena atina fiddunya hasanatan va fil ahirati hasanatan va kina azabannar. Sabhana rabbika rabbilizzati amma yasifun va salamun alal mursaleen valhamdulillahi rabbilalameen al fatiha).
Therby performing nikah finishes.

Khutbah for Eidul Fitr 
“A-úthu billáhi minash shaytánir rajeem. Bismilláhir rahmánir raheem
Al hamdu lillahi nahmaduhu wanasta’eenahu, wanastagh-firuhu, wanatoobu ilayhi, wana’oothu Billaahi min shuroori an-fusinaa, wamin sayyi aati a’maalinaa. May- Yahdillahu fa huwal muhtad, wa may- yudlill falan tajidaa lahu waliyan murshida. Wa ash-hadu an Laa ilaaha ill-Alláh, wahdahoo laa shareeka lah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhoo warasooluh”
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem! Ya Ay-yuhal-latheena ‘aamanut taqul-laaha, haqqa tuqaatihee wala tamu tun-na, il-la wa antum Muslimoon.”
Ya Ay-yuhal-latheena ‘aamanut taqul-laaha, wa qooloo qawlan sadeedaa. Yuslih-lakum a’maalakum wa yaghfir lakum thunoobakum, wamay yu-til-laaha warasoolah, faqad faaza fawzan atheemaa.”
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar; La ilaha il-lal-Laahu Allahu Akbar. Allahu Akbar wa lil-Laahil hamd!
 “Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil ‘Aalameen. Was-salaatu was-salaamu alaa Khairil mursaleen. Muhammadin-nabeey-yil Ummiy-yee, wa-‘alaa aalihee, wasah-bihee, aj-ma’een.                              
Ammaa ba’ad:
“Innalláha wa malaaikata yusallúna alan nabi. Yá ay yuhal latheena ámanu sallú alayhi wasalli mú tas leema. Allahumma salli alá Muhammad, wa ala áli Muhammad, kama salayta ala Ibrahim, wa ala ali Ibrahim. Allahumma barik ala Muhammad, kama barakta ala Ibrahim, wa ala ali ibrahim. Fil ála meen, innaka hameedun majeed.”
Second Khutbah:
“Soob’ hanallahi wal hamdu lillah, wala hawla wala quwwata illah billah yu althi yual theem”

அ மினாஷ் ஷைத்தானிர் ராஜீம்.  பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர் ரஹ்மனிர் ரஹீம்
அல் ஹம்து லில்லாஹி நஹ்மதுஹு வனஸ்தா-ஈனாஹு, வனஸ்தாக்-ஃபிருஹு, வனடூபு இலாய்ஹி, வனூத்து பில்லாஹி மின் ஷூரி அன்-ஃபுசினா, வாமின் சயீ ஆதி அ’மலினா.  மே- யஹ்தில்லாஹு ஃபா ஹுவல் முஹ்தாத், வா மே-யூட்லில் ஃபாலன் தாஜிதா லாஹு வாலியன் முர்ஷிதா.  வா ஆஷ்-ஹது அன் லா இலாஹா-அல்லாஹ், வஹ்தாஹு லா ஷரீகா லா, வா ஆஷ்-ஹது அண்ணா முஹம்மதுன் ‘அப்துஹூ வாரசூலு’
பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர் ரஹ்மனிர் ரஹீம்!  யா ஆயுஹால்-லத்தீனா ‘ஆமானுத் தாகுல்-லாஹா, ஹக்கா துகாதிஹீ வாலா தமு துன்-நா, இல்-லா வா ஆன்டம் முஸ்லூமூன்.”
யா அய்-யுஹால்-லத்தீனா ‘ஆமானுத் தாகுல்-லாஹா, வா குலூ குவ்லான் சதீதா.  யுஸ்லிஹ்-லாகும் அ’மலகம் வா யாக்பீர் லாகம் துனூபாகம், வாமே யூ-தில்-லாஹா வாரசூலா, ஃபக்காத் ஃபாஸா ஃபாஸான் அதீமா.
அல்லாஹு அக்பர், அல்லாஹு அக்பர், அல்லாஹு அக்பர்;  லா இலஹா இல்-லால்-லாஹு அல்லாஹு அக்பர்.  அல்லாஹு அக்பர் வா லில்-லாஹில் ஹம்த்!
“அல்ஹம்டு லில்லாஹி ரபில்’ ஆலமீன்.  வாஸ்-சலாத்து-சலாமு ஆலா கைரில் முர்சலீன்.  முஹம்மதுன்-நபீ-யில் உம்மி-யீ, வா-‘அலா ஆலிஹீ, வசா-பிஹீ, அஜ்-மஹீன்.
அம்மா பா���்:
“இன்னல்லா வா மலைகாட்டா யூசல்லனா ஆலன் நபி.  Yá ay yuhal latheena ámanu sallú alayhi wasalli mú tas leema.  அல்லாஹும்மா சல்லி அல் முஹம்மது, வா அல á லி முஹம்மது, காம சலாட்டா ஆலா இப்ராஹிம், வா ஆலி அலி இப்ராஹிம்.  அல்லாஹும்மா பாரிக் ஆலா முஹம்மது, காமா பரக்தா அல இப்ராஹிம், வா ஆலா அலி இப்ராஹிம்.  ஃபில் ála meen, innaka hameedun majeed. ”
இரண்டாவது குத்பா:
“சூப்’ ஹன்னல்லாஹி வால் ஹம்து லில்லா, வாலா ஹவ்லா வாலா குவாத்தா ஐலா பில்லா யூ அல்தி யுவல் தீம் ”
இன்னாஅல்லாஹா, யமுரு பில் அடெல், வால் இஹ்சன், வா ஈட்டா-ஐ ஜில் குர்பா;  வா யன்ஹா அனில் ஃபுஷா-ஐ, வால் முங்காரி வால்பாகி;  ya-idzukhum lallakum tathak-karoon.  (சூரா 16:90),
Fadth kuroonee adth kurkum, கழுவி kuroolee walaa tak furoon [2: 152].
wala thikrul-Laahi akbar, Wal-Laahu ya’lamu maa tasna’oon. ”  [29:45].
அல்லாஹும்மா அன்டாஸ் சலாம், வா மின்காஸ் சலாம், தபரக் தாராப்-பனா வாடா அலாய்தா, யா தல் ஜலா-ஐ வால் இக்ராம், சாமியா வா அதா குஃப்ரானகா, ரப்பனா வா இலாய்கல் மசீர்
ரப்பனா ஆடினா ஃபிட் துன்யா ஹசனாதன் வா ஃபில் ஆகிரதி ஹசனாதன் வக்கினா அதபன் நார்.
ரப்பி ஜா-அல்னி முகீமாஸ் சலாதி, வா மின் துர்-ரியே-யாடீ, ரப்பனா வாடா கபால் டுஆ.
ரப்பா நாக் ஃபிர்லீ வாலி வாலி தயியா, வாலில் மு’மினீனா யவ்மா யாகூமுல் ஹிசாப்.
ரப்பனா லா துசிக் குலூபனா பா’தா இத் ஹடாய்தனா, வா ஹப்லானா மில்லா துங்கா ரஹ்மா, இன்னகா அன்டல் வா-ஹாப்.
Soob’haanaka rabbikal Rabbil izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wasalaamun anil mursaleen, wal hamdu lil Laahi Rabbil Aalameen

“Innalláha wa malaaikata yusallúna alan nabi. Yá ay yuhal latheena ámanu sallú alayhi wasalli mú tas leema. Allahumma salli alá Muhammad, wa ala áli Muhammad, kama salayta ala Ibrahim, wa ala ali Ibrahim. Allahumma barik ala Muhammad, kama barakta ala Ibrahim, wa ala ali ibrahim. Fil ála meen, innaka hameedun majeed.”
Second Khutbah:
“Soob’ hanallahi wal hamdu lillah, wala hawla wala quwwata illah billah yu althi yual theem”

முகப்பு வாசிப்பு.
அ மினாஷ் ஷைத்தானிர் ராஜீம்.  பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர் ரஹ்மனிர் ரஹீம்
அல் ஹம்து லில்லாஹி நஹ்மதுஹு வனஸ்தா-ஈனாஹு, வனஸ்தாக்-ஃபிருஹு, வனடூபு இலாய்ஹி, வனூத்து பில்லாஹி மின் ஷூரி அன்-ஃபுசினா, வாமின் சயீ ஆதி அ’மலினா.  மே- யஹ்தில்லாஹு ஃபா ஹுவல் முஹ்தாத், வா மே-யூட்லில் ஃபாலன் தாஜிதா லாஹு வாலியன் முர்ஷிதா.  வா ஆஷ்-ஹது அன் லா இலாஹா-அல்லாஹ், வஹ்தாஹு லா ஷரீகா லா, வா ஆஷ்-ஹது அண்ணா முஹம்மதுன் ‘அப்துஹூ வாரசூலு’
பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர் ரஹ்மனிர் ரஹீம்!  யா ஆயுஹால்-லத்தீனா ‘ஆமானுத் தாகுல்-லாஹா, ஹக்கா துகாதிஹீ வாலா தமு துன்-நா, இல்-லா வா ஆன்டம் முஸ்லூமூன்.”
யா அய்-யுஹால்-லத்தீனா ‘ஆமானுத் தாகுல்-லாஹா, வா குலூ குவ்லான் சதீதா.  யுஸ்லிஹ்-லாகும் அ’மலகம் வா யாக்பீர் லாகம் துனூபாகம், வாமே யூ-தில்-லாஹா வாரசூலா, ஃபக்காத் ஃபாஸா ஃபாஸான் அதீமா.
அல்லாஹு அக்பர், அல்லாஹு அக்பர், அல்லாஹு அக்பர்;  லா இலஹா இல்-லால்-லாஹு அல்லாஹு அக்பர்.  அல்லாஹு அக்பர் வா லில்-லாஹில் ஹம்த்!
“அல்ஹம்டு லில்லாஹி ரபில்’ ஆலமீன்.  வாஸ்-சலாத்து-சலாமு ஆலா கைரில் முர்சலீன்.  முஹம்மதுன்-நபீ-யில் உம்மி-யீ, வா-‘அலா ஆலிஹீ, வசா-பிஹீ, அஜ்-மஹீன்.
அம்மா பாட்:
“இன்னல்லா வா மலைகாட்டா யூசல்லனா ஆலன் நபி.  Yá ay yuhal latheena ámanu sallú alayhi wasalli mú tas leema.  அல்லாஹும்மா சல்லி அல் முஹம்மது, வா அல á லி முஹம்மது, காம சலாட்டா ஆலா இப்ராஹிம், வா ஆலி அலி இப்ராஹிம்.  அல்லாஹும்மா பாரிக் ஆலா முஹம்மது, காமா பரக்தா அல இப்ராஹிம், வா ஆலா அலி இப்ராஹிம்.  ஃபில் ála meen, innaka hameedun majeed. ”
இரண்டாவது குத்பா:
“சூப்’ ஹன்னல்லாஹி வால் ஹம்து லில்லா, வாலா ஹவ்லா வாலா குவாத்தா ஐலா பில்லா யூ அல்தி யுவல் தீம் ”
இன்னாஅல்லாஹா, யமுரு பில் அடெல், வால் இஹ்சன், வா ஈட்டா-ஐ ஜில் குர்பா;  வா யன்ஹா அனில் ஃபுஷா-ஐ, வால் முங்காரி வால்பாகி;  ya-idzukhum lallakum tathak-karoon.  (சூரா 16:90),
Fadth kuroonee adth kurkum, கழுவி kuroolee walaa tak furoon [2: 152].
wala thikrul-Laahi akbar, Wal-Laahu ya’lamu maa tasna’oon. ”  [29:45].
அல்லாஹும்மா அன்டாஸ் சலாம், வா மின்காஸ் சலாம், தபரக் தாராப்-பனா வாடா அலாய்தா, யா தல் ஜலா-ஐ வால் இக்ராம், சாமியா வா அதா குஃப்ரானகா, ரப்பனா வா இலாய்கல் மசீர்
ரப்பனா ஆடினா ஃபிட் துன்யா ஹசனாதன் வா ஃபில் ஆகிரதி ஹசனாதன் வக்கினா அதபன் நார்.
ரப்பி ஜா-அல்னி முகீமாஸ் சலாதி, வா மின் துர்-ரியே-யாடீ, ரப்பனா வாடா கபால் டுஆ.
ரப்பா நாக் ஃபிர்லீ வாலி வாலி தயியா, வாலில் மு’மினீனா யவ்மா யாகூமுல் ஹிசாப்.
ரப்பனா லா துசிக் குலூபனா பா’தா இத் ஹடாய்தனா, வா ஹப்லானா மில்லா துங்கா ரஹ்மா, இன்னகா அன்டல் வா-ஹாப்.
Soob’haanaka rabbikal Rabbil izzati ‘amma yasifoon, wasalaamun anil mursaleen, wal hamdu lil Laahi Rabbil Aalameen

Celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh) is but natural:—

It is human nature that when a person is hurt or in some sorrow or hears about somebody’s sorrow, then even that person’s face shows his/her gloomy emotions. In the same way, when a person sees a beautiful scene or is granted a bounty, that person’s face showcases his/her joy.
That person mentions it to everybody. There is no pressure on that person to do so, nor does anyone consider it unreasonable. When the gain of a small worldly bounty elicits such natural joy, even though this world and everything in it is transitory and temporary, then the arrival of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is the greatest possible bounty. All other bounties, whether they are of this world or of the hereafter are only through the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). How much should we express our happiness and joy on this occasion?
Thus, celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and expressing happiness on it is not only human nature but the intent of Almighty Allah as well. Almighty Allah says in the Holy Quran:
Say: (All this) is due to the bounty and mercy of Allah (bestowed upon you through raising Muhammad [blessings and peace be upon him] as the exalted Messenger). So the Muslims should rejoice over it. This is far better than (all that affluence and wealth) that they amass. Surah Younus (10:58)
The person who celebrates the birth of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) and expresses happiness on it is granted great reward by Almighty Allah. There is a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari and in various other books of Hadith with some slight change of wording. Some are brief versions and some are more detailed. The following is the Hadith from Sahih Bukhari:
Translation: Hadhrat ‘Urwah says: Thuwayba was the slave of Abu Lahab. Abu Lahab had set her free to nurse the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). After Abu Lahab died, some of his family members saw him in a dream in the worst possible state. He was asked: What did you get? Abu Lahab said: After separating from you, I never got any peace, but only because of setting Thuwayba free, I am refreshed through this (his finger). (Sahih Bukhari, Kitab Un Nikah, Vol. 2, Pg No. 764, Hadith No. 5101)
In the explanation/commentary of this Hadith, the Imams, Hadhrat Allama Badruddin 'Aini and Imam Ibn Hajr 'Asqalani, narrate other lengthy versions of this Hadith on the authority of other books. Here we present what our Hadhrat Badruddin 'Aini Hanafi (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) writes in his famous commentary on Sahih Bukhari, ‘Umdatul Qari, Vol. 14, Pg No. 45:
Translation: Hadhrat Abbas (May Allah be well pleased with him) says: I saw Abu Lahab in a dream 1 year after his death. I saw him in the worst possible state. He said: I didn’t get any relief after I separated from you. However every Monday my punishment is lightened. Hadhrat Abbas (May Allah be well pleased with him) says: That is because the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was born on this day and Thuwayba had given this good news to Abu Lahab and he had set her free. (‘Umdatul Qari, Vol. 14, Pg No. 45)
With a slight change in wording, this Hadith is present in the following books of Hadith:
Sunan Kubra, Hadith No: 14297
Musannaf Abdur Razzaq, Vol. 7, Hadith No: 13456
Jame’ Ul Ahadith Wal Maraseel, Hadith No: 43545
Kanz Ul ‘Ummal, Hadith No: 15725
As soon as the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) came, Hadhrat Thuwayba (May Allah be well pleased with her) was set free. This is a sign that the Prophet who has come will free humanity from the shackles of slavery.
May Almighty Allah grant us the blessings of the Milad of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). May the Lord Almighty guide us to love the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) with all our heart. May He guide us to act upon His life and teachings in our lives.

Whom are the religions established by the Grand Messengers for? For which souls is the Religion of God? What were the purposes of the religions established by the Grand Messengers? Sayyidi Younus AlGohar discloses the answers to these questions in yet another astonishing speech!
Summary
   - God created souls in two episodes. 70 000 years before he created souls in the Primordial Times, he had already created three categories of souls: those in his Proximity, Love and Manifestation. In the second episode of creation, God created souls with the Command 'Be' in the Primordial Times.
   - All the souls created with Command 'Be' gathered before God. God asked them if he was their Lord and they affirmed it. God showed them the modelled luxuries of the world and said that those who wished to obtain it may obtain it. A multitude of souls leapt towards the modelled luxuries of the world. The angels were instructed to write it as their fate. Then the modelled luxuries of paradise were shown and many souls leapt towards them; this became their fate. Many souls were unable to decide between luxuries of paradise and the world; they ran out of time so God said that their fates would be suspended.
   - The religions were established for the souls that chose the luxuries of paradise. Through those religions, they would prove their worthiness of paradise. The knowledge which enabled one to reach the greater levels of paradise was introduced with Adam the Eminent One. The Grand Messengers dispenses esoteric knowledge for the paradise-bound people so that they could reach different levels of paradise.
   - Periodically, God would send one or two souls from the first episode of creation on Earth. They were the spiritual personalities who would sacrifice everything for the sake of God and become recluse in jungles. The great prophets and messengers are all from among the souls created before the Primordial Times. They established the religions of the world; however, worship or desire for paradise are not in their own nature. For them, God's Proximity, Love or Manifestation is their destiny. Since God rarely sent these souls, a large number of them are still waiting to come on Earth. They are now coming down in large numbers as this is the era of Imam Mehdi.
   - The prophets that were sent before the era of Adam the Eminent One were from the second episode of creation. The prophets sent after Adam the Eminent One were from the first episode of creation. The religions established by the Messengers are for the souls who chose paradise - they do not suit the souls from the first episode of creation.
   -  The souls from the first episode of creation are coming on Earth now because Imam Mehdi has brought the Religion of God on Earth. If you seek God, you must adopt the religion for which the destination is God's love and to see God. Those who managed to see God from among the Nation of Prophet Mohammad were those who were blessed by Mohammad (PBUH) himself, in his personal capacity. They were the ones who went beyond the religion of Islam to reach God.
   - The main theme of His Divine Eminence Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi's message is Rapturous Love of God. However, there is a large number of paradise-bound souls who must now come to Imam Mehdi to find their destiny because the religions have been subject to adulteration and are no longer valid.

Nabi of Ambiya عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلٰوةُ وَالسَّلَام
Our Beloved Nabi صَلَّى اللّٰەُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is the Nabi of all other Ambiya and all Ambiya and Mursaleen عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلٰوةُ وَالسَّلَام as well as their Ummahs are included in his Ummah. The Nubuwwah and Risalah of the Holy Nabi صَلَّى اللّٰەُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم encompass all creation of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ from the period of the father of all human beings (i.e. Sayyiduna Aadam) to the Judgement Day. On the night of the Ascension, all Ambiya and Mursaleen عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلٰوةُ وَالسَّلَام offered the Salah led by the Holy Nabi Muhammad Mustafa صَلَّى اللّٰەُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, showing that he صَلَّى اللّٰەُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was and is the Nabi of all Ambiya عَلَيْهِمُ الصَّلٰوةُ وَالسَّلَام.

Ibrahim (AS) was alone even he was rejected by his father.
Nuh (AS) son & wife rejected him too.
If you're being rejected too for your faith and for being on the path of haqq don't be disheartened.
You'll be rejected by your parents, by your in-laws, by your loved being, by the society, but remember, he who is accepted by Allaah but rejected by people and he who accepted by people but is rejected by Allaah are not same.
So sabran ya nafs (companionship of Rasulullah and Mursaleen awaits you, Bith'nAllaah Doors of Jannah awaits for you to call by your name) these days shall pass too 🍃 journey seems long the path seems difficult to walk upon but eventually you'll pass on 🥀

Ramadan Diaries: The Best Company
I imagine myself siting outside a marquee in Jannah; the grandest mehfils of them all! In the faint distance I can hear the sweet recitation of Hz. Dawud (AS) in the background, which is joined by the birds and animals. As I step closer to the source, I can feel the radiance of Nur envelop me and a rush of joy overwhelms me! I find myself a corner to sit in and just try to watch the majestic display from afar.Nearby, I see the Ghazis of Badr gathered around a bonfire sharing their war stories with the Muslims.I then see the brave Hz. Ali (RA) walking with the Sahabah brandishing his double-bladed sword as he retells the stories of Khyber to the Sahaba. And just besides him, I catch a glimpse of Hz. Umar (RA). taken aback by the magnanimous aura of awe and fear he exudes. And then there is Hz. Uthman (RA) as well! with his handsome appearance, humble as always, the Dhun Nurayn! And then you find Hz Abu Bakr (RA), the best friend of your Habib (SAW), you wish to come closer to him, and want to hear all the incidents of all the joys and sorrows he shared with him from start to finish.And then finally amidst all the crowd, you finally see him. your beloved Nabi (SAW). His blessed back is facing to all the choice Sahabas, martyrs and greeting them with open arms. Your heart is aching just to catch a look of his shining face, but then your heart skips a beat. Tears well up.  When his eyes fall upon you, will he recognize you as His Ummati and give a radiant smile or will he be dismayed, and turn away. You want to apologize, you want to run to him into his arms and cry and ask for his blessings. But then something amazing happens... The Curtain opens.Allah (SWT) reveals Himself with All His Glory and Majesty and a wave of contentment takes over you and there is nothing more you could ever ask for and it looks like finally you found peace... at last. ◣━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━◢ "And he who obeys Allah and the Messenger -they shall be with those whom  Allah has favoured -the Prophets, those steadfast in truthfulness1, the martyrs, and the righteous." How excellent will they be for companions!" [4:69]This thought experiment is of what it might be like to be part of the best of companies! The Sahabah, Nabiyun we hear are not simply chapters in our stories but were living breathing personalities and just imagine how awesome it would be if we could meet them in Jannah! Imagine if you get to meet the friend of Allah (SWT) - Ibrahim (AS) for a day, the mighty Musa (AS) ? or the shining Yousuf (AS)?Assalaatualanabi Wassalaamualarasul Walambiyaa-il-mursaleen Kulluhum mukramoon!
