The museum of Stok Heritage hotel in Ladakh was painstakingly and devotedly assembled by the Namgyal and is brimming with treasure troves of Tibetan Buddhism and more. The Namgyals, who have ruled Ladakh for millennia, are guardians of some of the most valuable remnants of mountain culture and heritage. Only royal guests were permitted to view this legacy because it was kept private.

A Casa da Marquesa de Santos é resultado do amor que o imperador D. Pedro I dedicou a sua amante, Domitila de Castro Canto e Melo, a Marquesa de Santos, com quem manteve uma relação de 1822 a 1829, e da qual resultaram duas filhas: a Duquesa de Goiás e a Condessa de Iguaçu, portanto, meias irmãs do imperador d. Pedro II.

O palacete é considerado obra de arte arquitetônica, no qual um dos espaços é a Sala Flora, que era utilizada pela Marquesa de Santos como toucador ou quarto de vestir, compondo seus aposentos íntimos. Numa das paredes, encontra-se simbolizada a mosca que teria sido pintada pelo imperador d. Pedro I, arrependido após um ataque de ciúmes. A pintura original da mosca faz parte hoje de coleção particular, enquanto a existente é uma réplica do pintor Gutman Bicho, imortalizando a lenda.

Este espaço fez parte da primeira etapa de restauro do palacete.

A Sala Flora nos remete ao mundo idílico do amor e dos sonhos.
