My EP People Pleaser is finally out, everyone! Hope you guys stream and enjoy it. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears...And many years to make this album come true.
Alto Castelo is the music project of Issac Hirsch and Philip Patino, bridging indie rock with folk, jazz and baroque pop influences! Based in Los Angeles, CA, they draw inspiration from the environments we know. They can be found on Spotify and Apple Music under the same name! Please consider reblogging so this post can reach more people and every listener is appreciated from the bottom of their hearts.
I uploaded my first big-boy blog post today, and this month I'm talking about how you can organically grow a following for your music (or really anything else) just by showing up and being present for your community.
It's about a 6 minute read and I'd love to have an ongoing discussion about it anywhere you're comfortable doing so. Take a look!

Three months ago, Falling Islands released 'NETWLKR'. I told him that my favorite track from that EP was 'MANIFESTO', and I asked him if he was going to spin it at our upcoming cybergoth rave. He said, "Ah probably not, it's a bit too low energy.
So I decided to fix that.

heya, hope you’re well :) I finished the vocals for ‘The Fear of Falling In Love’ today!! I’ll attach a clip of the first chorus below. I woke up at 12pm and had some breakfast outside with Prue, then got ready and took her out for a walk.
After getting back, I washed some grapes to snack on while working on the vocals for the final chorus. It was a good idea to do them fully rested, for the high harmony I added in needed SO much breath and really good control, both things I can’t do while tired lol.
After recording everything I added in a breakdown/outro that I thought of in the moment, and adjusted the levels for the backup melody lines as they were too loud. There’s still a little bit of clipping, but I think that adds to the dramatic effect of the song. Very happy with how it all turned out!
Only one song left on the album to work on, ‘Apollo Bay’. I intentionally left this one for last because it’s quite a sentimental, heartfelt song for me - it’s essentially a message to my childhood self - so I didn’t want to be preoccupied with other songs to work on. Alrighty, that’s gonna be all for now. Thanks for reading and take care of yourself <3
