Pairing: Zayne x Reader

Summary: You confuse Zayne’s number with your trusted ride back home. When he insists on picking you up himself, how could you refuse?

Word Count: 1.7 K

The world was spinning, but in a pleasant way, as if gravity no longer affected you. You felt close to floating instead of walking, weightless as the cherry blossom petals that drifted through the air.

You were so light, in fact, that your fingers struggled to exert any pressure on the numbers in your screen, phone nearly slipping out of your hands and crashing into the pavement.

You leaned against Tara, both of you giggling about nothing in particular as you sat by the sidewalk. Her arm was wrapped around your shoulders, the sides of your heads pressed together.

Mojitos had been flowing like water tonight, a celebratory dinner after a mission completed with no casualties, hunter or civilian. 

For a moment, you had been able to let go, put down the weight of grief, fear and uncertainty in favor of comradery, cheers and funny anecdotes from Captain Jenna and the eldest members of UNICORN.

Surrounded by your peers, you knew for sure someone had your back, and they wouldn’t let you fall without falling themselves first.

Pressing your phone to your ear—and almost dropping it again—, you impatiently waited for the other end to pick up.

Absentmindedly, you drew a strand of Tara’s silky hair between your tingling fingers.

“Your hair is soooo pretty,” you hiccuped. 

“Oooooo. Thank you!” Tara pouted, close to tears, redder than ever. You probably looked no better.

“You’re welcome! I need you to give me some tips because ever since that wanderer burnt half of my freaking scalp—“

“Hello?”

You had forgotten you were on the phone.

“Ah, sorry Mister Song, hi~ I don’t see you.”

There were a few seconds of silence, and you almost pulled down your phone to check if Mister Song hadn’t hung up on you.

“It’s Zayne.”

The smile fell off your face, and like a fool, you double checked the contact name, as well as the time.

It was 3 am.

“Goddess, I’m so sorry. I thought—“

He cut you off, voice thick with sleep, not missing an inch of its imposing nature.

“Are you drunk?” 

You winced—that was his admonishment voice, the one he used when your bood tests weren’t within standards, or you had circles under your eyes. 

Like a huge cosmic joke, Tara giggled, leaning closer to slur:

“Is that your Doctor? He does sound as grumpy as you s—” You pressed your free hand to her lips, her whole face burning like a furnace.

The silence was deafening. Unbeknownst to you, Zayne had grimaced on the other side of the line, a half amused twist of his lips.

“I’m good,” you lied through your teeth.

“Sure,” he replied goodnaturedly. “Send me your location.”

Defeated, you hid behind a curtain of your hair. A terrible decision, considering how the world began to spin, even as you closed your eyes.

“Okay.”

By the time Zayne arrived, Tara was snoring, head resting on your shoulder. Meanwhile, you had been sipping on a bottle of water Captain Jenna had kindly given you before leaving.

“Hi,” you greeted once he lowered the passenger’s window, mortified.

His gaze met yours, inscrutable. He looked as awake as ever, had it not been for the slight ruffle of his hair, not quite as perfect as he was used to wearing it.

“Oh, you’re here!” Tara slurred, suddenly awake. “This one wouldn’t shut up about you, you know?”

You shut your eyes tightly. Maybe this was all an alcohol induced fantasy.

A swift pinch to your elbow let you know that sadly, it was not the case.

“I’ll assist you.” Was Zayne’s only reply, door slamming it his wake as he approached to hold onto Jenna’s arm. 

If there was the ghost of a smile curling at the edges of his mouth, you preferred not to acknowledge it.

“Perhaps your friend could share more details on your opinion of me,” he teased over Tara’s head, hematite eyes full of mirth.

Now it was your face burning up. You were going to kill her when she was sober.

“Of course!” Tara hicupped happily. “She said she missed you,” she sing songed, extending the last word to an unnatural degree.

Tara —thank the Goddess— became dead weight as soon as her head hit the inside of Zayne’s ridiculously expensive car. 

Which left you in a somewhat awkward silence. You said somewhat because Zayne seemed as comfortable as ever.

A low melody played from the stereo, something calm and melancholic. He had told you the name once: Gymnopédie No. 1.

Only once Tara was safely back to her parent’s house—her mother hugged you in thanks for taking care of her, making a tight knot grow at the back of your throat— was that Zayne dared to speak.

“This Mister Song, who is he?” He inquired, something flickering through his features much too quick for your dizzy mind to comprehend. His knuckles became pronounced, hands tightening against the wheel.

“My driver?” You replied, confused.

He hummed, eyes on the road.

“A close…friend of yours?”

“Does it matter?” 

He shrugged, but it was far too stiff to be genuine.

“It always matters who you place your trust in.”

Silence reigned after that, nothing but your breathing breaking it.

What he said made sense, but the depth of his frown didn’t. He was driving you crazy. Hot and cold, hot and cold.

It was only once you had replayed the conversation in your head, that realization crashed over you. Something somersaulted in your stomach, filled you with an indescribable emotion.

“Zayne…are you jealous?” 

You bit your lip to keep from smiling, but it was a lost cause, mirth had permeated into your every word.

This was the closest you had seen him to bashful, pale pink blooming on his cheeks, Adam’s apple bobbing as he cleared his throat.

He loosened his hold on the wheel, letting the car come to a stop, as you were now at his place.

Your smile withered a bit at his lack of response, and took the brief silence as an opportunity to admire him. Zayne’s mouth had tilted down in a now sullen mien. 

There wasn’t anything precisely pointing to it, but you could tell he had built a wall, frozen distance even within the warmth of his car.

“You are right. It is none of my concern,” he said, voice icy and impersonal.

Gripping his chin between your fingers, you guided his gaze back to you.

“Mister Song is a seventy year old man. I met him when his taxi was totaled by a Wanderer attack. He’s been my trusted driver ever since.”

He let the information sink in, the jealousy brimming inside him simmering. 

A jealousy he knew he had no right to, which only served to upset him further.

You were not his. 

But he was yours.

And yet, something in the way you looked at him begged to differ. You weren’t his because he couldn’t bring himself to ask, because he was a fool.

“What’s that look for?” You whispered, fingers trailing down his shoulder, basking in the soft fabric of his black shirt.

“What look?” 

You tried to replicate his gesture, brows pulling together, almost making you go cross eyed.

He couldn’t help the laugh that escaped him. 

“Hey, I’m trying,” you complained, raising your hand to intertwine with the other at the nape of his neck.

“I didn’t comment on it.”

“You didn’t have to.” Your words still had a slurred edge to them.

“There is no winning with you.”

You laughed back.

“Just admit it, you’re obsessed with me.” 

“Who said that?” 

It was only then that a question that had been begging to be asked rose from the back of your mind.

“Why are we at your place?” You tilted your head to the side.

The petal spots in Zayne’s cheeks deepened in color.

“I would like to keep you under my observation, as you are still intoxicated.” He hesitated for a second, a low exhale escaping him. “If I have your permission.”

Your smile tempered into something different. Not upset, but serious. 

As you regarded Zayne, something tightened in your chest. It hurt, but left you wanting. 

Goddess, you wanted, you wanted, you wanted. It was a prayer your body hummed whenever he was close.

“I’d love to, Zayne,” you whispered. brushing a thumb to the edge of his jaw before letting go.

A light dinner, anc copious amounts of water afterwards, you were lying side by side with Zayne, wearing one of his shirts, and joggers that were definitely much to big for you.

The lamps on each side of his bed were on, as you were having a light conversation. He was resting against the headboard, while you had your face shamelessly pressed to the pillow on your side. 

The scent of it soothed you, of lavender and soap.

“I have sent you letters,” he denied, voice rough with sleep.

“If only I could have managed to read them.”

He frowned deeper at your poke at his chicken scratch. Some things were just inescapable in the medical field, you supposed.

You leaned closer, finding his gaze even as he purposefully avoided it, suddenly brimming with affection.

“Aw, was that too mean?” You cupped his face between your hands, and much like the black stray cat you liked to feed, he reluctantly leaned into your touch. 

Boldened by it, you pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. 

“I did read them, you know?” Your hands cradled the sides of his neck, thumbs resting below his earlobe. “I kept them all.” 

Zayne’s lips twitched, but he managed to remain serious, gray eyes boring into yours.

“I kept your replies too,” he murmured, turning to lay a kiss on your wrist. “Though I was tempted to correct some grammar mistakes.”

You huffed, dropping your hands.

“Rude! For your information, my writing is impeccable.”

“You said perchance an unacceptable amount.” He chided, seeming to mull it over. “I don’t think that word means what you think it does.”

He was probably right.

“Whatever,” you crossed your arms over your chest, leaning back against the head of his bed, setting your eyes forward.

The mattress dipped beside you, hinting at Zayne’s closeness.

“Are you upset?” He asked with an undertone of mirth to his faux concern.

You felt yourself flush deeper, forcing out a sarcastic reply.

“What makes you think that?” 

He pressed his mouth to the shell of your ear, sending shivers down your spine.

“As you so eloquently put into words, I’m obsessed with you.”

When you turned your head, your noses brushed.

“Yeah?” You breathed out. “How much?”

“A ridiculous amount,” he admitted, fixated on your lips, minty breaths mingling.

You smiled, pressing closer until your mouth brushed his.

“Good.”

OKAY SO what with the TWO new Hermits implied by the updated banner I will say that, though the Skizz truthers have me convinced, I now have room to do my own crazy red string monologue and throw my hat in for my choice

1) Mythical J. Sausage (the J is silent) is a multitalented S-tier builder that absolutely deserves to be shoulder to shoulder with the Hermits. The man does buildings, interiors, terraforming, custom trees, and he does them SO WELL.

2) The production values!!! Beautiful replay mod sequences with shifting camera perspectives, shaders, music that sets the tone for each segment that's different from series to series. He already has more than a million followers on YouTube and for good reason!!

3) He has been SO consistent lately. He started a hardcore world about three months ago (about the time you might expect the Hermits to finalize their s10 choices maybe...???) and already has 15 episodes and hasn't gotten involved in any other big content. (He did just start playing a little of the BCG server but from what I understand that's super casual /copium copium copium).

4) That hardcore world is conveniently about to reach a good "pause" point. He started his world on a cherry blossom biome island that he's filled with a medieval village and starter farms, he's said it's almost full and what's left is the castle. I'm guessing the new season will start the first week of February, so if Sausage puts out a video this week building out that Castle and finishing that island it will be MIGHTY CONVENIENT TIMING.

5) This man can GRIND. His Hardcore world hasn't even been going half a year and he's built... So much??? Magnificent! And when he was on the Hermitcraft server he did the Razorcrest for scar AND the player head baby yoda/stormtrooper merch AND the noteblock themesong AND still built in the xmas village and other "diamond of peace" and so many other shenanigans. Did the man even sleep? He can grind with the best of them.

6) He can do redstone, too! Maybe not unique designs, I honestly don't know, but he builds farms for build materials no problem.

7) The DRAMA this man loves his improv and his backstory and trauma lore! For every series he does! Can you imagine if he gets to interact with Ren for an extended period of time, what that would do to them, to us?? Give Martyn a run for his money!!

8) Which brings me to my next point, which is that Sausage is already One of The Gang, because he's been in series with so many of the Hermits already! Empires and the crossover, obviously, but also Pirates with Cleo and Origins with Scar, and he's even done MCC! Joel is the only other player with the same depth of different series but there are other people truthing him already.

9) The EPIC BROMANCE with Pearl. My god the devotion of this man to his sunflower goddess bestie. I would try to do ot justice but y'all have seen floweroflaurelins work, you already know.

10) He's already a PG streamer but with HILARIOUSLY PG-13 tendencies. Imagine him and Cleo cracking each other up at an HHH stream, *grips your shoulders* IMAGINE IT.

11) Sausage comes with his own mascot in the form of interdimensional dog extraordinaire Bubbles, but he's also just an animal lover on general. Mans drinks his "I love Jellie" juice and had her in his world even before the sad news of her loss.

12) Diversity win! No one should be hired just for their gender, race, sexuality etc etc unless it's truly necessary to the job, but we were all happy when more women got added to the server in s8 and I know a lot of people would be happy to see some ethnic diversity added, too.

... That bulletin board had a lot more pins in it than I thought it did but anyway MYTHICALSAUSAGE TRUTHERS/ALL OTHER TRUTHERS RISE UP SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! we'll only get to wildly speculate for a few weeks so we might as well make it everyone else's problem ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST!!

Its time for situations!

"Sky?!" The captain found himself striding through the same market he'd searched. Eyes flickered across the crouds of people as he shifted through the bussle of the stalls.

"Excuse me. Have you seen a friend of mine?"

"No, sorry."

"Mam have you seen a man about this tall..."

"Aint seen no one like that here, you tried the corner stall?"

Everyone's response was the same, and it wasn't exactly like they could send wolfie out to track him. Not in a bustling town like this. Shame they didn't know where they were, royal guard captain seemed like a good way to find his friend right about now.

He's just have to do this the old fasisoned way.

His search continued through the market for most of the day. Each stall hand points in another direction in a massive game of follow the lead.

Eventually, he found himself in a small square, where a few trees blossomed in shades of cherry as the sound of a fountain rushed through his ears. If he wasn't so stressed out he might have taken pause here.

There was even the gentle strumming of a harp, the subtle humming of a voice, something familiar to him...

Something...

Was that?

Sky...

It sounded like his playing.

Oh Hylia.

he turned a corner and the tale flash of white and red gave him all the information he needed.

Sky!

He made to speak but stopped himself. in his movements and his attempts to speak.

For what he saw, horrified him.

Sky. Was sitting on a bench. With several cuckoos surrounding him. One on his head. and one leaning into the side of his lap. With several more situated at his feet. Sky's hands were each occupied with a different cuccoo. The goddess harp lay gently besides him. The skyloftian continued him humming as he sat, eyes closed.

in all his years he'd never seen anything so dangerous.

"Sky... What are you doing?" He whispers loud enough for the skyloftian to hear.

"I'm in my element wars." the skyloftain looked at him, pure joy on his face. "Dont ruin this or I'll set them on you." The skyloftain smiled with his eyes. And tilted his head, his voice conveyed a joke but his face screamed anything but.

That was a threat.

"You know. I think I'll just go and find the others. They are probably lost without me!"

"I'll be here!" The skyloftian smiled again, crossing his legs as another cuckoo made itself comfortable on his lap. Giving a little wave as he returned to stroking the cuckoo closest to his hands.

Their skyloftian was something else....

A Female Tengen Uzui Reader with Yandere Shiva, Rudra, Indra, Loki, Raiden, Buddha and Qin Shi Huang who introduces herself, in a very flashy way, as the ‘Goddess of Festivals and anything Flashy’ and that she calls her opponent ‘Trash’ (Her opponent is pissed and tries to bring this arrogant mortal woman down a peg, only for Reader to WREAK him, winning her fight, in a very flashy way of course) after she’s healed up, (God)/(Human) tells her she was amazing, only for Reader to go “Well yeah. I’m a flashy, glamorous goddess of Festivals, that’s a no-brainer. Not to brag but I have 3 husbands too!” and God/Human goes brain dead for a moment, only for Reader to say “And I saw your fight and what a flashy display of power! If your interested, I’m willing to make you my 4th Husband. After all, a strong and brilliant flashy ‘goddess’ like myself wouldn’t have anything less!”

-When the arena found out the next fighter for humanity was going to be a woman, many doubted you, most of the gods laughed, thinking this was going to be an easy fight, while many of the humans were worried.

-Your opponent, Nergal, went out first, only some cheering for him, as he was such an evil and vile god, the only ones that were really cheering for him were ones that just wanted him to win, not because they liked him.

-A spotlight shone down on the entrance for humanity, and three men were at the top, throwing cherry blossoms down as the door opened.

-Your dual swords, connected by a chain in the middle, was slung around your neck as you skipped out, a bright grin on your face as you posed dramatically as Heimdall introduced you.

-You then pointed at him, leering down at him, “Wrong! I’m the Goddess of Festivals and anything Flashy!”

-Heimdall wasn’t quite sure what to make with you, as your makeup was done dramatically, hair pulled up in matching space buns, and while your outfit was plain, a black demon slayer uniform, you wore a bright and sparkly headband.

-You were quite flashy, blowing kisses up at your darling husbands who all grinned down at you.

-Nergal was annoyed, seeing such a cocky woman as you spun your swords around with easy, showing off before you pointed one of blades at him, “Shame that my opponent is trash- totally unflashy!”

-The gods quickly grew enraged at your disrespect, many jeering at you that Nergal was going to kick your ass while Nergal was fuming, calling you a shameful woman.

-Your battle was the shortest of the tournament, only lasting about six minutes, jaws were hanging, mouths open and eyes bulged.

-You made it look so easy to fight! You handed Nergal’s ass to him on a silver platter covered in sparkles and glitter. You were a seasoned and skilled fighter, anyone could see that, even the other warriors who were all in awe of your skills.

-You were only a little roughed up, nothing major like some of the other competitors, except for one cut across your left cheek that needed some stitches, a lucky shot Nergal had managed to get.

-Your husbands were cuddling you, praising your skills while you were grinning brightly, enjoying the attention, speaking so gently, so fondly to each of them.

-They left after a while, as you needed to get cleaned up, and only moments later a knock came to the door and you opened it, not caring you were topless except for the bandages around your chest.

-The man at the door was stunned to see you in such a state, but you weren’t bothered before he grinned warmly down at you, “Your fight was amazing Y/N! I wanted to come and tell you in person because you were breathtaking out there!”

-You beamed brightly, hands on your hips, “Well not to brag- but I am awesome! Both in fights and in life, I’ve got three lovely husbands to look after me!”

-He was stunned, as he didn’t realize this, a bit dumbstruck before you grinned up at him, giving him a small wink, “I saw your fight too, handsome, you were very flashy yourself! I could always use a fourth husband if you’re interested, since you’re the best and I only deserve the best!”

-Shiva- Was very…stunned to meet a woman like you, you were confident and cocky, but could back it up, you were so soft with your husbands, just like how he was with his wives, you were like a mirror image of himself. You couldn’t help but laugh, which got him quickly laughing, when he told you he had three wives, seeing the comparison between the two of you. Shiva couldn’t help but like you, he wanted you by his side, but he knew he could do nothing against your darling husbands, as they were there first, just like how Shiva’s wives were there first with him. When you brought the notion of combining the two families, his wives and your husbands were shocked to say the least, but they all agreed, as long as boundaries and rules were followed, which nobody was really bothered by. SCORE!! Husband number four and three wives as well! You were living the good life!

-Rudra- Was stunned by your forwardness, your cockiness, but he knew you could back it up and for some reason, he didn’t dislike your bold nature. Most women he knew were more reserved, sometimes, but you were completely different, and he fell hard and fast. Your other husbands were very welcoming, something that surprised the Storm God, as you four were humans, despite your insistence that you were a goddess, but he wasn’t complaining. Rudra learned that despite your ferocity when fighting and your cockiness with everything, you were so soft and gentle with your husbands, and Rudra was no different, you let him lay his head on your lap and he basked in your gentle affections, running your fingers through his hair. He was content in sharing you with your other co-husbands, as they were there first, but he wasn’t about to let anyone else join unless if you said so.

-Indra- Your arrogance annoyed him when you first walked out into the arena, you were obnoxiously arrogant, but as he watched you fight, he couldn’t even lift his cigarette to his lips, in awe. You were cocky, but you definitely could back it up. When you proposed that he become your fourth husband, Indra did have to admit that he was annoyed, but your praise, that you acknowledged him as a strong fighter and worthy enough to be your husband, he couldn’t help but be a little happy. He was not shy, but rather tsundere, with you and your husbands, as they were very welcoming to Indra, while you were so soft and gentle with the four of them, a stark contrast to when he first met you. As time passed, you had him wrapped around your finger and he wouldn’t hesitate to defend you or his co-husbands, something he still gets shy admitting.

-Loki- His eyes were huge and sparkly at your proposal, almost instantly sweeping you into his arms, hugging tightly which made you laugh warmly, liking his enthusiasm. He was like a toddler with your other three husbands, not wanting to share, which got them all competing for your attention, which you thought was cute and they all bonded, using different tactics and Loki had to admit the three of them were quick to grow on him, just like you. Your four husbands were like a pack of wolves, guarding their beloved mate, fiercely, nobody was allowed to approach you unless you said it was okay, you were truly the alpha of your pack. Odin was grateful to you for keeping Loki in check, as Loki liked it when you punished him~

-Raiden- Was like a giant puppy with you, in complete awe as he had never met a woman like you before, confident, powerful, and beautiful, you were the perfect woman! Your co-husbands were very quick to warm up to Raiden, he was so warm and inviting and you got a good show when the four of them decided to have a drinking contest, which you ended up winning. Raiden fit in so well with your family, he was the missing puzzle piece you never knew was missing, your other husbands adored him, finding him fun but easy to get along with, while all four of them adored you. You treated them all equally, never giving any preferential treatment over the other, which they liked, but wouldn’t hesitate to tease each other, like Raiden would hug you close, “She gave me four kisses!” while holding you hostage, so you couldn’t give your other husbands any more kisses.

-Buddha- He liked the vibe you were giving off, you were so full of life and energy, so full of fun, but also so full of love. Your proposal was a bit surprising but he bounced back quick, giving you a warm smirk and almost immediately accepted. Your husbands were surprised to find out you had married a god, getting a fourth husband, but Buddha always seemed to match the energy levels and was just so fun to be around. He was great for cuddling and relaxing, not just with you, all four of your husbands could just vibe and enjoy time together without you being around. However, when you weren’t around, their family wasn’t complete, not until you were sandwiched between the four of them, drowning in their kisses and love before demanding it back, which you were more than happy to do.

-Qin Shi Huang- The former and first emperor had never met a woman like you before, you weren’t afraid to talk back to him if he stepped out of line, you were funny, loud, but at the same time, he felt himself drawn to you like a moth to a flame. He desired to see what other sides there were to you and instantly accepted your proposal. He wasn’t bothered that you now had four husbands, in his time he had multiple wives and concubines, and he had to admire you that you gave all four of them equal attention, favoring none of them over the others. He fit right into your family, as he was flashy and obnoxious as well, something your three husbands had to learn quickly how to control, as the two of you were quite the handful when you wanted to be, however they wouldn’t have it any other way, else they would be bored.

A Legendary throw

Legend wasn't mean.

Well, okay. He could technically maybe, perhaps come off as slightly rude sometimes. But it honestly was not his fault. 

He was just emotionally inept. 

Sadly, knowing you're emotionally stunted did not fix said ineptness either. Which left Legend where he was right now, staring down the worst man he's ever had the displeasure of meeting in his entire goddesses damned life. 

Warriors.

Warriors and his stupid, really punchable face. The face of a man that was currently grinning while he not so very subtly put a snail inside of Legends bedroll, presuming said Legend couldn't see him. 

This assumption was stupid, incredibly stupid. So stupid in fact that Legend couldn't help but openly gape at the man while he shuffled away from the scene of the crime, assuming himself to be the ever so smooth and unseen criminal as he viewed himself as right now.

Smug blond bastard. 

Technically all of the Links here were some sort of variation of blond, with the exception of maybe Hyrule with his brunette hair and Legend with his original hair colour being a nice, lovely, decidedly NOT blond, shade of pink. 

Well, before he bleached mostly all of it to prevent standing out like a cherry blossom among oaks, as said by his late uncle.

But this was not the point right now. The point right now was that Warriors was by far the most blondest, smuggest, punch worthy person in his life right now. 

And he was going to do something about that. 

Now, as a point stated previously above, Legend was quite emotionally stunted, curse of the heroes spirit or something or other. So, of course, one would naturally expect that in an effort to learn the skills of healthy communication between him and his brothers in arms he would calmly get up and talk to Warriors about how it's completely unethical to put snails in someone's bedroll. 

Legend only did the first part though. 

He slowly got up, bones cracking in the satisfying way they usually did and wandered over to where Warriors was standing, shoulders shaking ever so slightly in barely concealed giggles.

He was clearly very proud of himself.

“Warriors.”  Legend said calmly, tapping his power bracelets together to activate them just in time before Warriors turned around to face him, expression smoothed out and casually cheerful instead of smug and cheeky and dumb- 

“Legend! Brother! Comrad! Fellow hero under the triforce of courage! How are you? Did you need something?” Warriors said brightly, confidently, like nothing was wrong. 

Legend took a deep breath, reached out to put his hands on the taller man's shoulders and smiled warmly back. “Yes actually, could you perhaps not scream?”

“Why would I scream?”

Legend proceeded to swiftly grab warriors, lift the man up above his head and throw him into the forest. 

Warriors screamed.

Legend had a feeling that the W in Warriors maybe did indeed stand for Wuss that day.

Something a little different from my other hazbin stuff- one of my favorite things to do is design fun designs for the Greek gods, are they lore accurate-no but they’re fun!

Here are the designs for Persephone, Hera, and Amphridite!

For Persephone I wanted to base her off a flower because of the goddess of spring stuff and I finally settled on a cherry blossom theme, because I find them very pretty!

Hera I made like a regal deep blue and had gold to accent it, you can’t really see it in this drawing but her crown has a trail of golden peacock feathers.

And Amphridite is an ocean nymph so I wanted a more physical difference between her and the other two so I’ve kinda just dictated that nymph have these downward turned ears, for her they’re fish like.

I realized while drawing Wizard that it’s going to take so LONG to finish the designs for the Oven Breakers for my: ‘That time I adopted a god AU’

So I decided to just post them one by one.

Ethereal Strawberry Cookie.

Most Commonly Known: Goddess of Love.

Other domains: Hearth, Family, Peace, Nature, Protection, Childbirth, Unity, Tranquility, Fertility (Nature wise), Forgiveness, Marriage,Fire, Harvest, Children, Dawn, Seasons, Shelter, Sanctuary and Protection.

‘Strawberry Cookie was the second to ascend to godhood, her sweet and sugary scent bewitching all that draw near. She took the title ‘Ethereal’ when the cookies of Earthbread were entranced by her gentle nature and kind eyes. She’s a really shy goddess however and won’t reveal herself if not necessary’

Popular places of worship: Pomegranate Village, Hollyberry Kingdom and her Home Kingdom of Worship: Strawberry Hill Paradise.

Symbols of Worship: Hearts, Strawberries, Doves, Lollipops (Not to be confused with Gingerbright’s Lollipops) Shields and Cherry Blossoms.

Okay, got that one down. For inspiration for her clothing I based most of her design on these cookies:

When I say ‘love’ I mean love in all forms. Romantic, Platonic and Familial. Though she’s not one to play cupid.

As for why she resembles Eternal Sugar by a lot, we’ll get to that later when I finish designing Gingerbrave. As for context, ‘The Oven Breakers’ are what I’m going to call those who escaped the Witches. (The main ones)

I decided that she looks like a benevolent goddess but is somewhat shy. Hiding until the time is right, like love, only shown in subtle ways.

I tried to incorporate some of her aspects in her original design but as you can see, it can be very limited considering Strawberry Cookie’s motif is ‘Pink and Green’

As for the winged crown, it’s more of a ‘cupid’ incorporation more than anything, representing her ‘goddess of love’ attributes.

Pairing: Colby Brock x fem!reader

Warnings: swearing, angst

My blood boiled as I watched the interaction between the two of them. Colby had always been one to talk with his hands and it didn’t matter who he was talking to. He would give light touches while telling a story or a soft hand on the shoulder. But this was new territory.

His hand would absentmindly glide down her forearm and back up. If anyone had caught my eye they would know the hellfire that lurked behind my hazel irises. If looks could kill. The way his words rolled off his tongue like honey left me nearly shaking in my seat. Why couldn’t he talk to me that way? Why couldn’t he look at me that way? In some sense, I understood. Amber sat in a tight pair of skinny jeans and white tube top that had cherry blossoms on it. She looked like a goddess.

“Everything okay over there?” Sam’s voice pulled me out of my daze. I lazily looked over at him and nodded. “Let me know when you’re ready to tell me the truth, okay?” He nudged my elbow with his own and went back to his previous conversation with Kat and Stas. I felt my cheeks begin to warm up at the sight of Colby leaning closer to Amber as she spoke.

“I’m gonna get some air.” I said standing abruptly from my seat. The screeching of the chair legs alerted the attention of the others and suddenly all eyes were on me. “I’ll be right back.” With a final unconvincing smile I sauntered off to the air conditioned building. I leaned up against the bar and sighed heavily while moving my hair out of my face. a few moments and a mimosa later I felt a hand on my lower back.

“You okay?” Colby. I hummed in response and downed the rest of my drink. “Are you sure?” His eyebrow raised at the sight of my action.

“Perfect.” I spun on my heels in a poor attempt to walk away but he quickly caught my arm.

“You wouldn’t lie to me, right?” I shook my head and harshly shook free from his grasp. “What were you and Sam talking about?” I rolled my eyes at the question.

“Why does it matter, Colby?” He shrugged. “Then why bother asking it?”

“I had something I wanted to tell you.” My heart began to beat faster at his words. “Uh, it’s funny actually.” He began to wring his hands together. “Amber and I started going out.” The color drained out of my face and I could visibly see Colby’s eyes fill with concern. “Are you okay?” His words seemed to fade as I looked into his icy blue eyes.

“No.” He reached out for my arm once more but this time I was faster than he was and I pushed through the crowd of people around us. “I’m leaving.” I said once I was close enough to our table.

“Woah. What’s wrong?” Kat asked as I gathered my things. I glanced up at her before locking eyes with Amber.

“You just had to, didn’t you?” Amber cocked her head in confusion. With a swift eye roll I began walking away from the table.

“Where did she go?” I heard Colby ask the others as I disappeared into the crowd of people.

A month later

My phone rang next to me on the couch. I glanced over and Colby’s name lit up the screen with a picture of us. It was July and we were dressed to see the fireworks for the holiday. Red, white, and blue dots painted my face and it was pressed firmly up against Colby’s who was decorated in a similar fashion. Shaking my head, I reached over to silence it. A few minutes later a voicemail popped up. With a heavy sigh I pressed play and put the phone to my ear. There was static, a sniffle, and then he began speaking.

“Hey, we haven’t talked in awhile. A month to be exact. I’m not sure what happened that day, but I miss you. Pizza night isn’t the same.” He paused before sniffling again. “Nothing is the same with you not talking to me. Listen, maybe I could come over and we could just talk. I’ll talk to you later.” Then there was silence. I sighed once more and pushed myself off the couch to make my way to the fridge. Just as I was about to close the door I heard someone knock.

“I didn’t order pizza.” I said in frustration before opening the door.

“I know.” His voice made me stop in my tracks. “I needed to see you.” We stood in silence for a moment just staring at one another. “Can I come in?” My eyes dropped to my shoes But I stepped to the side to let him in. “I love what you’ve done with the place.” He joked motioning towards the dark interior.

“What do you want, Colby?” He sighed.

“What happened?”

“Why don’t you just go hangout with Amber and leave me be?” He groaned and I could sense his irritation growing.

“Is that what this is about? Amber and me going out?” I scoffed before brushing passed him to the kitchen. “No. You don’t get to walk away. You’ve done that enough.” The kitchen stool swiveled as Colby sat down on it. “We’re talking about this.”

“About what, exactly? There’s nothing for us to talk about.”

“You’ve been ignoring me because I’m with Amber.” I rolled my eyes. “How is that fair?” His words ignited a fire in my chest and I slowly turned towards him.

“How is that fair?” I repeated and he nodded. “How is what fair?”

“You pushing me away.” And just like that, the dam broke.

“You wanna know what’s unfair, Colby?” I paused searching his eyes for any hint of understanding. “I feel so fucking small because I’m sitting here running circles in my brain wondering if I read the signs all wrong.” His eyebrows raised in confusion. “I was the one who was there to listen to every hookup story you’d tell. I was the one who had to hear about every date you went on. Every girl you supposedly fell in love with. I was there when Shea walked into your life and then right back out.” I yelled motioning towards the door. “I was there when Stas played with your feelings. I was there the entire time and you never saw me.” I paused again as my chest heaved. I took two cautious steps towards him as he spun to face me in the chair. “So I’m sorry if I don’t want to hear about you and Amber. I don’t want to hear that the man I’m in love with would rather be with someone else.” His jaw dropped slightly at the confession. “Because none of these girls know what they ha-“ before I could finish my sentence I felt him grip my waist tightly and pull me into him. Our lips collided and it felt like pure ecstasy. His right hand moved up to rest in my cheek and I pushed further into him. He pulled away and lightly rubbed his thumb across my cheek bone.
