Transcript under the cut
Geoffrey: Hey! Check out this little guy.
Bob: Probably one of the cats they let in the church to keep the mice out. Wonder what’s he doing all the way out here.
Geoffrey: We can’t leave him out in the cold. It’s starting to get cold soon.
Bob: There’s no way you think we can sneak a cat in the dorms.
Geoffrey: I’m pretty sure people have snuck in worse. Besides, we’re doing an act of kindness, right, little guy?
Bob: Does Nancy like cats?
Geoffrey: [nervously] W-why?
Bob: I saw you two being all cozy at the game the other day. Care to share?
Geoffrey: She was just being nice, that’s all...
Bob: Popular girls aren’t just nice for no reason. Actually...popular girls aren’t nice at all.
Geoffrey: She’s different. She’s still the same Nancy Landgraab I knew when we were kids. Kind. Smart. Um, really pretty...
Bob: Oh, boy. Do you hear yourself! You my friend are in l-o-v-e and you should talk to her! Ask her out!
Geoffrey: Ask you Nancy Landgraab? How do I do that?
Bob: Glad you ask. I am a certified ladies man. You just gotta- you know, talk to her! Listen to her when she talks. Ask about her day. Compliment her brain, not just her looks, trust me.
Don: [snorts] You listen to this dickhead and you’ll never get laid, Osteer. If you want to hook up with Blondie, I can help you out. It’ll cost you, though.
Geoffrey: Like what?
Don: Room swap. It’ll be easier for my girl to come over without getting caught if I have your room. Dina is friends with the hot blonde chick and she’ll put in a good word. Don’t worry, you can tap that before we swap. Deal?
Geoffrey: I don’t know... shouldn’t I get to know her better?
Don: We’re saying the same thing, dumbass! I’ll let you in on a secret; Tonight, a couple of us cool kids are sneaking out to a college party. Blondie will be there, and you two can get your freak on. How’s that?
Geoffrey: I-
Don: Atta boy, Osteer! Don’t dress like a dork virgin either.
Bob: [in a baby voice] I think this is a bad idea, Geoffrey! Yeah, couldn’t have said it better myself, little guy.
-
Geoffrey: Hey, Nancy. Um. Thanks again for helping me the other day. The only thing that’s bruised is my ego, honestly.
Nancy: Yes, of course. I’m glad you’re okay. Sorry about your ego.
Geoffrey: [chuckles] It’s ok, it should be used to this by now. What are you reading? Can I sit with you before class?
Nancy: Yeah, sure.
Vanessa: She has a crush on Geoffrey? Why didn’t she tell me?
Nina: Apparently, they’re childhood sweethearts. We need you to play matchmaker. If anyone can hook them up, it’s you, VV.
Nancy Narrates: [Ever since that night in my room, Vanessa has been noticeable distant from me. The only thing reaching me was that lost, faraway look in her eyes]
Cassie: Guys...I don’t know. What if Sister Agnes decides to do another room check? What am I supposed to say?
Cassie: I’m just gonna say it- I don’t think you should do this. Feels wrong. Lying? I wouldn’t even know what to say if someone asks. Nancy, say something-
Vanessa: Jesus fucking Christ, figure it the fuck out! Come on, Nancy.
-
Geoffrey: Do you want to da-
Nancy: Getting a drink.
Vanessa: Hi.
Nancy: Are you mad at me about something?
Vanessa: Why would I be mad at you?
Nancy: I don’t know..
Vanessa: Put that down and come dance.
DJ plays- Color Me Badd - I Adore Mi Amor
Dream on, dream away I think I'm gonna have to stay Stay forever I adore mi amor
You want to take her place You say you'd treat me better Better I know for sure
You see she loves me And I could never leave her
Nancy Narrates: [There it was, that feeling again. Only this time, I did fall completely apart]
Nancy: [panting]
You're the one that I adore (I adore) I'll be forever your love (mi amor)

little miss perfect || lia walti x reader ||
Tumblr media
whenever you have a problem, lia is always there.
there had once been a time whenever you could have seen yourself being close with lia. both of you had grown up in the same area, and had played soccer together as children. your positions had been different, so it wasn't until lia got her call up to the swiss national team that things started to go sideways for the two of you.
you had been born in switzerland, but your parents were german. your father had only been in the area for a job, but once the call came, he packed things up. lia had been one of your best friends, and then one day, you were ripped away from her. even though the two of you had seen each other often after, things were not the same.
the first time that lia had scored on you was far from the first time that your heart broke, but it definitely hurt like it was. it wasn't like practice, and lia had just knocked your chances at tournament advances away with that one shot. your team was decent, but lia was better. you could try your hardest, but you simply just didn't have the energy to block all of them.
"(y/n), honey, it's okay. you'll get them next year." your parents had always been very encouraging when it came to your career. women's soccer wasn't nearly in as good of a place then as it was now, but they believed in you. in their eyes, you were good enough to make the whole world believe in you.
you didn't know then that it would be one of the last games that your parents would attend together. when your father got sick, you completely threw yourself into playing. it was the distraction from everything else in your life. the worse things got at home, the harder you went in training. you had truly become one of the best goalkeepers in the world, but the one person who you wanted to see it wasn't there to do so.
your first game after losing your father was also your first call up for the senior national team. it was a friendly against switzerland, which made you a bit nervous. technically, there wasn't any bad blood between you and lia, but much of the childhood love you shared was lost. all of the good feelings that you had once felt for her festered until they turned into disdain, and eventually, hatred.
"mama, relax. i am at my new apartment, and it is lovely. london is beautiful, i can't wait for you to see my new uniform. i'll send you pictures later. goodbye, i love you." phone calls with your mother were often a bit of an ordeal. she was a worrier, not that you could blame her. she had lost a lot, and you made the choice to move all the way to london to play for chelsea instead of going with her back to switzerland.
chelsea was a good fit for you, at least it was until lia signed for arsenal. you couldn't stand seeing her sometimes. something about playing against her always caused you to make stupid mistakes. she always played perfectly, just like you remembered when you were kids, and somehow, she made you play like you were still just a tiny little child starting out in the goal.
the warnings had been clear, so it didn't surprise you when they didn't renew your contract. still, you were angry. you were mad at yourself for leaving germany, mad at lia for making you play bad, and mad at chelsea for just dumping you. you were mad enough that you had taken their derby rival's offer when it came. the post you had made to announce yourself as a gunner was petty at best, but somehow didn't get you in trouble.
"come on wally, you used to know each other. surely you can tell us something about our new keeper," beth whined as she tried to bug lia into spilling her secrets on you. you pitied her, not having heard you come up behind the two of them.
"i hear she's pretty quiet for a keeper. none of that annoying stomping," you said. beth and lia both jumped, causing you to snicker. "(y/n) (y/l/n), nice to meet you."
"beth, and sorry about that. everybody has been buzzing about this trade, and lia mentioned when the rumors started up that you know each other," beth said. she was trying so hard to explain herself, but you didn't mind. you knew how it looked from the outside, but you had never been good about hiding your anger and wanting some sort of revenge. it wasn't a good trait, something you hadn't grown out of.
"beth," lia hissed. her cheeks were red with embarrassment, and you just ate it up. lia was always so perfect, rarely ever slipping up like that. "it's been a long time, and we've both grown up a lot since then…"
"yeah, lia here became the perfect poster girl for the swiss national team, and i'm the troublemaker that fucks it up when it really counts. little miss perfect." your smile was forced, and lia backed away from you a little as you began to gesture. you were getting yourself worked up, and while lia wanted to comfort you, she knew it wasn't the right time.
"alright then… well, it was nice meeting you," beth said awkwardly. she practically sprinted away with lia, which unfortunately set the tone for your first season.
you had trouble making relationships with the girls, who all knew lia first. it only seemed to get worse whenever caitlin came around. not only did lia have all the friends, but she also had a girlfriend. you had never been able to make anything last, always far too focused on your career. even within your own team, girls dubbed your focus to the game as obsessive.
soccer was your escape, and whenever something wasn't clicking, you went out to the pitch. you felt like it was a safer alternative to partying or something more dangerous. you tried things like therapy and talking, but it never felt like it helped all the way. still, you had begun to make some progress and slowly, things started to get better for you.
"when are you going to tell her how you feel?" beth asked you. she had fallen back from everybody else as you made your way from the training grounds to the cafeteria for lunch before you watched tape.
"what are you talking about?"
"lia, you should talk to her. she's single again, i don't know if you heard. leah wants to set her up with a friend, but viv and i think that you're a better match. it's pretty obvious that you don't hate her now that viv's pointed out how you act around her. you get quiet, but it's not because you're mad or jealous, you're just shy," beth rambled. you wanted to push her away and run, but it would somehow only help to prove her point.
"i don't like lia. maybe i did when we were yong, but that's changed. she wouldn't want someone like me anyway. whoever leah thinks would be good is the better choice. she deserves someone who can handle themselves, not like me." you wanted to leave it at that, but if you had learned anything in your time at arsenal, it was that the girls rarely did that.
you had hoped that kim would be the voice of reason in killing the ridiculous idea circulating the locker room that you and lia would be a good couple. instead, a single conversation at the bar after a tough loss had you calling the last voice of reason in your life, your mother. unfortunately, she agreed with a couple of the more sentimental girls that the idea of you and lia falling for each other after so long apart was utterly perfect.
"your contract is up. i don't know how true it is, but some of the girls heard you aren't going to renew," lia said. it had to have been weeks since you had spoken to each other outside of training. she had said something to you at a club, but the music was far too loud for you to hear anything.
"i don't know yet. arsenal has been nice, but i haven't been able to make it feel like home. maybe i'll go back to germany, things weren't perfect there, but they might have been better." you didn't know why you were being so open with lia. it was like you were too tired to hate her, but the more you thought about it, it had been a long time since you had really felt like you hated her.
"you haven't let your guard down long enough to let it. none of us know how to help you. i want to hold you in my arms and comfort you like i used to, but you said it yourself, we've grown up. we're not sixteen anymore, and we haven't been in a long time."
"there have been other people lia. there's always someone else for you, isn't there? a girl so beloved can't stay single for long, someone always wants to keep her." you let out a dry laugh as you thought of the countless women who had only wanted you for one night. lia frowned at you, a slight pout to her lips that you wanted to lean in and kiss off.
"i would keep you if you let me. i don't know what i did to make you hate me so much, but i'm sorry. i'm sorry for whatever i did, and even more so for everything that i didn't do," lia apologized. you were about to ask what she was talking about when she stopped you. "the losses, i could have comforted you, but i was scared. the girls were already teasing me when we faced each other, and i wanted to fit in with them. i should have called when i heard about your dad, but i didn't know what to say. you've had this caricature of me in your head as being perfect, but i feel like i've made the most mistakes when it comes to you."
"lia-," you started, only to find yourself at a loss for words.
"we could have been happy if i wasn't so scared. i never got to tell you that i wasn't mad at you, and maybe if i had, we wouldn't be like this." lia was almost fully in tears, and you felt guilt tearing you apart from the inside out. "please don't go, give me another season or something to make things right. i'm not perfect, and i won't ever be, but for you, i'll try my best every single day."
"lia, i'm not mad at you. i was always mad at myself, and you weren't around anymore, so i told myself i was mad at you. i don't deserve an apology, but i accept yours. things won't ever be perfect for either of us, but if we try, we can make each other's lives better," you said. "i'll resign, and we can try all of us again. i miss how we used to be."

Join me in reviewing Olivia Rodrigo's album GUTS. I've waited years for this!!
all-american bitch - 9/10, big fan. I love it when she screams because the world is unfair. same girl, same
bad idea right? - 10/10. I know this one is controversial but I LOVE her more punky songs, I think that's when she's best
vampire - 10/10. I'm not always a fan of piano ballads, but the bridge and outro really make it for me. The hurt turning into anger and despair is just so cathartic. And the video is one of my faves of all time
lacy - 1000/10. What the hell. Did not expect to feel this much emotion from that title. Uhhh... yeah, same. I super relate to that. Whether or not lacy is supposed to be a real person or a manifestation of the beauty standard, this hits. Also, idk if I'm making this up but I dig the romantic undertones, they sell it
ballad of a homeschooled girl - "I made it weird, I made it worse"/10. OLIVIA HOW DID YOU KNOW that I lie awake thinking about all the weird things I did and said, Olivia, did you write this for me specifically??? Every day I am alive IS social suicide. I'm sorry, this is my song, actually. "Can't think of a third line", she's so real
making the bed - "I'm playing the victim so well in my head"/10. How. Does. She. Do. It? I could write an entire essay about this song. Maybe THIS is my song?? She's so good at saying exactly how I feel. I already know that this song will play a million times on my phone. Also I love the drivers license references. Big fan of the making the bed metaphor
logical - 9/10. favourite crime vibes. She's good with these songs about bad relationships. Used to be my favourite thing she did, but now I'm more invested in the songs that are about her/other experiences. That being said this song is really fucking good. This is the Olivia I fell in love with and she's still amazing at doing piano ballads
get him back! - 9/10. Olivia having ANOTHER song with speak-singing where she wants to get back with her ex?? Yes, PLEASE. Bad idea right 2.0. Fucking obsessed
love is embarrassing - 10/10. I said it before I'll say it again, angry Olivia is the best. And she's right, love IS embarrassing as hell
the grudges - 10/10. She does the paino ballads SO WELL. I think this is my favourite one on here. Because, wow, yeah, that is how it is
pretty isn't pretty - i can't rate this/10. GOD, I love it when she talks about insecurities. And don't think I don't see that skipping lunch line. It's sp hard to articulate how this song makes me feel. Especially since I've been low key comparing myself to her, even though we have entirely different bodies and faces. It's nice to know she also struggles with this. And she's right, you could do literally anything to change your appearance and you'd still be unhappy
teenage dream - 100000/10. "Is it recording? Of course it is.", the way I gasped. Okay, I love the interpretation of it ending with a child to be about growing up and childhood innocence. But the line she says?? Especially combined with the meaning of the song it feels a lot like it's about taking away youth by recording it and putting it out there just like she was supposed to be everyone's teenage dream as a child actor and young musician. This feels so personal to her while also being relatable to others. I'm 19 too, Olivia and I are born in the same year. And this is exactly how I feel about growing up. I hope it gets better, my teenage years were crap, I'm tired of being young, but it's also the only thing I can hold onto. I'm honestly terrified of turning 20. But hey, Olivia did it, so... it'll get better, right?

LOVE the new fic. The betrayal literally made me tear up.
I was just curious would Gojo have given up on Ms. Moon if she were married or maybe had a kid.
oh fu c k such a good idea whydidn'tithinkofthis- (this got so long i am so sorry)
in the fic, ms.moon is pretty traumatized after the gojo incident to have any real relationships after.
But maybe ms.moon gets into therapy, works through the issues of intimacy. You meet someone, nice, kind. You settle down, have a kid. It'll be nice for a few years...but when gojo comes back into your life. he'll shut it down quick.
Gojo's worse than his high school self now. He might not beat your husband up, but that might be a blessing compared to the tsunami he's about to havoc on your family. Using his connections, he'll make sure your husband never finds a job in the entire city, the entire region even. He might even dig up something your husband did in his past, a small drug problem he had with highschool-something that would get swept under the rug normally, but with Gojo's scrutiny, it's about to become a lot bigger.
You could stop it. With enough begging. After you'd cry your heart out, he'd shush you, wiping away your tears, saying that he'd forgive you for your transgressions.
You'd be expected to divorce your husband. Your husband would be pretty pissed with your flimsy reasoning of 'my childhood bully isn't done with ruining my life' but then he'd remember that there is a reason the Gojo family is so big. And they don't take kindly to competitors who stand in their way. You'd understand why he lets you walk away without a fight, but a part of you wished he would have pushed more, even if the result would have remained the same.
It's your child who suffers the worst through all of this. Maybe you had a daughter. Perhaps gojo would be a bit more tolerant towards her if she looked like you but she was clearly her father's daughter. In the past, you adored it, now it's another curse for you.
You have to keep her away, for her sake. Gojo is already more than upset that you dared to start a family without him. Besides, why would you want her with you? Why would you want her to suffer under gojo's whims?
A part of you has to admit that it's also for your sake. You don't want your daughter to see you like that. Weak, rolling under that man's thumb.
She's probably just a toddler when you have to leave. She's too young to understand when you say 'mommy's going away for a while'. Maybe you'd lie to her, say that you're going overseas and when she asks if she can come with you, you'd shake your head because talking anymore would be too much because Satoru's waiting in the sleek black car right on the curb. It doesn't matter what you say, she screams and sobs the entire time.
You don't touch your ex-husband, you don't even hug because you know Satoru's watching. You just ask him to take care of her before you walk into the car, getting into the passenger seat. Your daughter's still begging you to come back. You make sure the car is out of her sight before you start sobbing.
There's a hand on your thigh, squeezing, a mocking act of comfort. You're sure Satoru's grinning.
"Aw. Don’t cry, baby," you can barely hold yourself back from slapping him, though you doubted even pain would wipe that look off his face.
The hand drifts up your thigh, playing with the hem of your pants.
"Once we have our own kids, you’ll get way too busy to think about your old one.”

……cersei corrupting little sister reader mayhaps 🤭
Here you go, Babybel. I hope my lesbian offering pleases you.
Tumblr media
Warnings: DEAD DOVE, DO NOT EAT. Incest, corruption kink, dubcon, fingering. Word count: ~1k
Cersei is in her cups again. You can tell by the faintest tint of rouge that stains her lips and the gleam she gets in her green eyes when she’s overindulged in Arbor red. It’s gotten worse since Jaime went away to the Riverlands and there is little you can do to stop it.
Truthfully, you are glad he’s gone. Growing up you’d always envied the closeness he shared with your older sister, the gap in age between you and your siblings made childhood lonely for you. Tyrion didn’t take an interest in you, but you’d always adored Cersei. You idolised the grace with which she carried herself, her effortless beauty and sharp tongue. She never really paid you any mind though, too preoccupied with her twin to notice you.
It was only when Jaime wasn’t around that she deigned to give you any attention, but you basked in being her plaything, even though it was only temporary. You had heard the rumours regarding your siblings’ incestuous relationship, but your father had scoffed derisively when you dared to ask, telling you that was a scandalous practice that had died with the Targaryens. The Lannisters would never debase themselves with such depravity. You’d believed him, you had no reason not to.
That was until you grew older, Cersei married King Robert, and Jaime’s absences became more frequent. Something shifted in the affection that your sister lavished upon you. It evolved into something darker, more intimate and filled you with feelings of burning shame, amidst a deep seated warmth in your lower belly that you could never quite find the words to articulate.
Lingering kisses to the lips, insistence that you share her bed while she kept you cuddled close to her replaced games of make believe and hide and seek. You supposed it was part of her becoming Queen. People change. She had to grow up and so would you.
This feels too grown up though; as she stands, wine goblet in hand, eyeing you closely as you run your hands over the rich, crimson brocade fabric of the gown draped over the folding screen.
“I cannot wear this,” You tell her, shaking your head and snatching your hands back as though you may sully the material with your very touch. “It is too much.”
She smirks at you, taking a slow sip of her wine and letting her eyes travel the length of you. “You are a Lannister. Nothing is too much.” She says with a slight tilt of her head.
“You have worn this gown to hold Court before!” You protest. “I cannot wear the Queen’s clothes.”
She steps closer, taking your jaw between thumb and forefinger. You can smell cloves and berried fruits upon her breath as it fans across your face, her eyes boring into yours. “Do you remember how much fun we had playing dress up when you were a girl?” She whispers.
You swallow thickly, hating the way your lower belly flutters under her attention. “Y-yes.” You peep meekly.
“Will you dress up once more, sweet sister, just for me?” She purrs.
You want to tell her no, you long to wrench from her grasp and flee back to your own chambers, if only to put a stop to the uncomfortable stickiness that gathers between your legs. You hate this, and yet you will not deny her anything. She is your sister, your Queen.
You nod your head and she releases you with a demure smile. “Good girl.” She praises stepping back.
Your hands move to lift your thin cotton shift over your head, then pause, uncertainty paralysing you. “Aren’t you going to leave while I dress?”
She scoffs, a grin briefly flashes across her pretty features before it’s gone again. “Nothing I haven’t seen before.” She says with a soft shrug.
You hesitate a moment, before pulling off your nightgown, leaving you bare before your sister. It may be nothing she hasn’t seen before, but she has certainly never looked at you like that before.
There is a predatory hunger, dark and urgent, in the way she stares at you. It makes you want to shrink into yourself, cover whatever parts of you she can see with your hands. The silent threat to rob you of your innocence looms heavy and oppressive. It frightens you, but not as much as the urge you have to simply give in to her.
“Here, allow me.” She says, setting her goblet down and stepping forward to take the dress from the screen.
Your breath hitches as her fingertips drag across your skin as she helps you into it, leaving gooseflesh in their wake. You have to bite back a whimper as she grazes your pebbled nipples lightly as she pulls the bodice over your breasts. You are sure it is deliberate.
The room feels too hot, your skin blazes and you grow wetter between your thighs, guilt eating away at you for it.
Lannisters would never debase themselves with such depravity.
What if you are depraved? What if she knows? She’d tell your father and it would bring shame upon your entire house.
You are broken from your thoughts as Cersei’s hand cups your mound beneath your skirts, her lips parting slightly as she feels the arousal gathered there.
You gasp, attempting to pull back, but she follows, keeping her hand exactly where it is. You bump into the wall, backed up against it as she spreads her fingers through your sodden folds, exploring.
“S-stop.” You stammer, unable to comprehend that your own sister would touch you in such a way.
She tuts, but makes no move to halt her ministrations. “Don’t you wish to play, little lion?”
Your eyes widen, your breathing becoming more laboured as the urge to resist her grows weaker. Realisation dawns, horrifying and intriguing all at once. “Is…is this how you and Jaime play?”
She laughs softly, plunging a finger inside of you, the sudden stretch of it making you yelp. “Oh, how Jaime and I play is much more intimate. Would you like me to show you?”
No is precisely what you should say, if you were to listen to the way your mind screams at you to run. However, driven by the fluttering in your cunt and the excitement that flurries in your belly, you answer in the affirmative. “Show me.”

Do you have any thoughts about rui’s character and his relationships? I really enjoy your character analysis i think they’re super good so it’ll so cool to hear something about rui ^_^ otherwise i really enjoy the work you put into this account!
thank you! here's a little something i threw together to commemorate the end of curtain call hell on EN, except it's about the main story because the animation released recently and i have thoughts about it. and i think it's a good starting point for his character.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First though, we need to go backwards a bit to the flashbacks in Revival my dream and KAMIKOU FESTIVAL!. When Rui was a kid, he was considered a prodigy by many and it was constantly shoved in his face that he was different from everyone else. Be it because he was incredibly intelligent beyond his age, or because he had different interests to the other kids in his class. At the end of the day, if he was having fun with his classmates, it wouldn't last. Usually they'd all leave at some point because they thought his ideas of fun were weird or they didn't understand them. By the time he was in middle school around 8 years later, he was completely isolated from his peers. As he said in A Once-In-A-Lifetime Pandemonium, he believed that he would never be able to connect with or understand anyone around him. What Rui had always needed was like-minded individuals who could accept him for who he was, not shun him due to his perceived weirdness. He had Mizuki, but even they said back in middle school that the reason the two of them were friends is simply because they were both lonely; they couldn't actually do anything to help each other change.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's very clear that Rui didn't think things would ever change. In the main story, even after Tsukasa invites him to join the troupe, the only reason he accepts is so Nene can do what she's always wanted. Sure, it's what he wants as well, but he's never worked well with people before, so why would it be any different now? He'll go along with it so long as he can try and help Nene change, because if he can't change himself, then the least he can do is help his only true friend.
Tumblr media
Was joining the crew at Wonder Stage so bad for him? Not really, he actually ended up hitting it off with Emu due to their similar way of thinking, something that had never happened before. Nene even points out that he seems happier than normal after joining.
I think the part where he leaves the troupe is the part a lot of people fail to get their heads around, I've seen so many arguments on twitter over it and I think people just need to get it into their heads that there were multiple factors that contributed to him leaving and refusing to rejoin.
Tumblr media
First off: Nene. Nene is Rui's closest and pretty much only friend. She's the only person who stuck with him since childhood. Everyone else left him in the end because they just couldn't understand him, Mizuki bonded with him over their shared loneliness but they were never truly close. Nene means a lot to him because of that, hell, the whole reason he even decided to join Tsukasa and Emu's troupe in the first place is because he saw Nene suffering and wanted to help her be happier. Tsukasa took his anger out on Nene, and Rui felt bad because he was the one who got her into this mess. He wanted her to be happy and to try and overcome her trauma only for her to mess up again and face even worse repercussions. Tsukasa hurt her, and Rui doesn't want to work with someone who's going to act like that, especially not towards his closest friend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Second: Tsukasa's selfishness. Which admittedly plays into the last point as well. Tsukasa was selfish. He just wanted the fame and glory and to be in the limelight. Nene messed up his debut performance, and he was angry. After all, it was his moment to finally shine, so it had to be perfect, and yet a member of his troupe made an amateur mistake. He wanted to put on the best show with the best troupe, he can't have anything short of that. That's what Rui points out here. Tsukasa says he has a passion for theatre, but really all he wanted was to be in the spotlight. He prioritised himself, let it all get to his head, and couldn't work with other people. That's what Rui means when he says Tsukasa doesn't have what it takes to become a star. Tsukasa doesn't care about anyone but himself, and you can't be a star and put on the greatest show by yourself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The animation actually adds in a little extra scene here. Leaving the group wasn't easy for Rui, it hurt him and you can really tell it did. As Nene said, it was the happiest he had been in a while. While he denied at the time that anything was different, I think he did know things were different. He thought he'd maybe finally found like-minded people, just like his mother told him he would when he was a kid. And he's a hypocrite even. He tells Tsukasa great shows can't be made alone, despite the fact he's trying to do that himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first time Emu, Nene and Tsukasa try to get him back, he refuses. Tsukasa had apologised to Nene, she accepted his apology and rejoined his troupe. And he's really happy for her, she's making moves to help herself get better, but he still refuses. After all, Tsukasa getting angry at Nene wasn't the only reason he quit. As he says, he and Tsukasa aren't compatible. Tsukasa only wants the fame and glory, whereas Rui wants to make shows that the audience can enjoy. Their goals simply do not align. He thought he'd finally found a place where he could engage in what he's passionate about, but was harshly reminded that place seemingly doesn't exist for him. Whether it was Tsukasa's hubris and selfishness or his classmates isolating him, he can't find anyone to pursue his interests with. Nothing changes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But it does change. WxS isn't complete without Rui there, Tsukasa needs to prove that he's changed and that his goals do align with Rui's own. And what better way to communicate that than with a show - it's what Rui knows best, after all. I think what's particularly impactful here is that this is a rewritten version of the show Rui was performing the first time he was asked to rejoin the troupe. The show about an alchemist who wanted to put on shows, but everyone who joined him left him because they found his ideas to be ridiculous. Neither the alchemist or the townsfolk understood each other, and the townsfolk wanted nothing to do with the alchemist. It's a bitter ending with the alchemist's happiness being limited and him ultimately being lonely forever, since the story does not continue.
The ending is not a happy one, so they change it.
Tsukasa has changed, and now he's giving Rui the chance to change as well. Rui has never had anyone take his shows seriously, never had anyone take him seriously. No one understands him and he never understood anyone. But that changes. There's finally people who want to do shows with him, who appreciate his ideas and understand his motivations. Even if he's a little different, everyone else in WxS is a little weird too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also like how they actually show in the animation that things have changed through a little bit of stage direction. Rui watches that entire play in the dark, alone. When Tsukasa reaches out to him, the light turns on on Rui. We then cut to reveal another person in the scene. He's not lonely anymore.
Tumblr media
Ultimately, the most important part of Rui's character arc is change. He never planned on changing - what was the point? He wasn't going to pretend to be someone he wasn't, but he also wasn't going to risk being himself and get rejected again. But once again, as he said in Pandemonium, once he joined WxS, he did change. He's the happiest he's ever been, he has friends that he never wants to let go for the first time, he's able to actually have fun and let himself enjoy things for the first time, he begins to be able to understand people without using shows as a reference point. But even before then, he changed. He changed as soon as he decided to take Tsukasa's offer. As pointed out by Tsukasa in Pandemonium, even if he was the one to give Rui the chance, Rui was the one who took it. He could've refused it again and continued to be lonely forever. He could've chosen to continue to believe that truly he would just never be able to understand and connect with the people around him. But he wanted to change, even if he denied it at the time. And he changed that belief so he could change his life.

I feel bad for Starlo. (pt. 5)
Most see this as a Staroba moment (not saying it's wrong to see it that way), but I'm like: why is Star’s first thought after he is brutally kicked to casually admit how he deserved to be hurt that much? He could have fallen to his death! Like, dude, stop. You're breaking my heart. Just look at how chill he sounds:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
no starlo.. please be more gentle with yourself And then he says how his and Ceroba's mistakes were the same?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How??
What she did was MUCH MUCH worse. It's like comparing Papyrus to Alphys or Asgore. And I don't even hate Ceroba, or Asgore, or even Alphys. They're all flawed but well-written characters (gonna discuss the fox woman soon) But like… Ceroba not only had time to process things (and plan everything) but got support from Star. He didn't get either. The posse and Ceroba all left him hanging, all because of his enthusiasm and insecurities (that somehow nobody ever picked up on; the struggle of people who always seem happy is real) and good intentions. His entire life fell apart without him expecting it, all at once. Even worse, no one who was supposed to be there WAS there. And when Ceroba finally intervenes she basically reveals to us how North Star was someone no one liked?
Tumblr media
I really hope she meant just who he was while Clover was there. Otherwise….
Tumblr media
She better not be saying that, for the years this persona existed, they all hated it. That they hated this part of Star, the insecure part. They obviously wanted him to go back to being the Nice Guy™ (but like, he was always nice. The only time he was overly enthusiastic was when he met a real human for the 1st time and got to live his dream. Ceroba basically says how, well, the guy’s lived a pretty unfulfilling life before he found out about westerns. They gave his entire life meaning. She should have been more patient with him istg.)
Tumblr media
Ceroba’s actions were manipulative. She never planned to tell anyone the truth. She wouldn't have told anyone the truth, EVER, if Star and Ed hadn't found out about her secret. Starlo on the other hand felt lost, since he got 0 support. Ceroba had Star. He gave her a free home. He was so thoughtful as to think "my childhood friend is currently crying herself to sleep, alone at home, why not give her company and ask her to stay with us?" Ceroba got a hug from Clover, lots of understanding from the kid, Martlet and Starlo. She got easy forgiveness. Star had to make up to his group himself and be the only one who apologizes. Even though they’d been gaslighting him (is that the right word for this situation?) for years apparently, or didn't let him enjoy himself for once in his life (depending on how you choose to interpret it). He even said sorry for forgetting to turn off the rock machines. Yeah, he deff goes back to Nice Guy™ AND does it pretty damn quickly when you think about it, after how much he was forced to deal with all at once ALL BY HIMSELF before Ceroba came and lectured him for the most part. He really is emotionally strong
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah, ceroba didn't comfort star like this when he was at his lowest (bonus points for him soothing her all while grieving for the child he clearly saw as his own)
Even though she thought she was doing the right thing, Ceroba was a twist villain. Starlo was no villain. He just really hated himself, was glad to find someone who could understand both his passion and his beliefs (aka Clover), really wanted to finally feel useful and expected others to enjoy his fantasy world as much as he did. As a farmer he felt like he couldn't do anything for himself and his community. He only wanted to help the best he knew and got carried away.

I Tamed My Ex-Husband's Mad Dog (Webcomic)
Created by: CMJM / Jkyum / Jagae(Art)
Genre: Fantasy
I did see this one floating around for a bit, and it is actually pretty good. I generally think that revenge reincarnation stories are a lot better than just general isekai stories because there's a very compelling motive for the female lead in them. The yandere has a bit of an age gap initially with him being a child and the female lead being an adult (though I'll be honest, I've seen and read far, far worse), but does have a time skip to when he's no longer a child. As of currently writing this there is about 30 chapters out right now.
The story starts out with Reinhardt Linckle crying over her recently deceased father, whom she had a strong bond with. Michel Allenkeith, or Reinhardt's husband tries to break off their marriage, with Reinhardt enraged as he was the one who essentially sent her father to his death. The two were engaged to marry every since they were young, but they never really loved each other, with Michel in love with another woman. Reinhardt ends up stabbing Michel in the leg, as she regressed back in time so that she could properly get revenge on him. As a result she is banished to the freezing lands of Luden to die in the cold. The mercenary that brings her to exile attempts to rob and sell her, but is saved by a child. While initially very wary of him, he realizes that he is indeed trying to help her and the two head to Luden to get supplies. Initially he seems reluctant, but as Reinhardt does essentially control this region now (as it's where her mother was born) she gets right into taking care of the people there so they are protected and well fed. Reinhardt finds out that the child that she picked up is Will Cohlonna, the "mad dog" of Michel in her previous life, the one who single handedly wiped out various armies, and decides to use him to get revenge on Michel.
Soon after, Reinhardt gets a visit from a childhood friend (and her first crush) Dietrich. Reinhardt asks Dietrich to help train Wilhelm to become a knight as currently they have a huge shortage of knights (and to later use him to help get rid of Michael), to which he agrees. He's able to convince Wilhelm to fight for Reinhardt's sake (as he has an obvious crush on her). Reinhardt eventually gets Wilhelm to fight for her and gain land so that she can get more resources (after a time skip) giving him the sword that her father has and wrapping a piece of cloth around the handle so that he will always remember her during this time. She ends him and Dietrich out to war so that they can get the land that they need. After a couple of years, Wilhelm and company return successfully, but unfortunately, Dietrich dies during this time. Reinhardt is distraught by the death of Dietrich, but is able to find comfort in Wilhelm, who yearned to see her while he was at war, always thinking about her. We learn that while preparing for the war that Reinhardt sent him on, Wilhelm overhears other soldiers talking about Michel's marriage to the new princess and makes fun of Reinhardt, leading to Michel killing all those who were involved with the mockery. He states that he was killing them for blasphemy against the royal family. Eventually, with Wilhelm's help, Reinhardt is able to attack the nation that cast her out, allowing her to start her revenge on Michel.
Storywise, there is actually quite a lot of political things going on when Reinhardt reaches Luden, especially since at that point people there were basically starving or getting attacked, so she has to find various ways of feeding everyone and, most importantly, getting actual knights to make sure that they are protected. All of this while also planning to invade Michel's country for revenge for her father. Reinhardt really lives up to her name as her character is very put together and ready to do whatever it takes to get her revenge. There were some concerns about Wilhelm and Reinhardt considering that he's about 16 initially and Reinhardt is 22, but considering how fast they had the timeskips and the fact that in the novel it's revealed that Wilhelm also regressed (and is actually older, mentally), it's not too big of a problem, and Reinhardt doesn't really see him as other than a cute little kid until after the timeskip. Works out, I suppose in the end. Wilhelm also looks a lot younger and smaller because of his malnutrition which probably adds to the problem. Anyways, the story is pretty well put together and interesting, seeing how Reinhardt survives and the kinds of tragedies she has to go through, losing not only her father but also Dietrich later on and how vile Michel is, making the eventual revenge on him that much more satisfying.
Wilhelm as a yandere really lives up to his name as the Mad Dog in the previous life. He seems to be able to take down armies on his own even at a young age, being very strong and very loyal just as he was before, only now Reinhardt is using this for her benefit, which he seems to be very aware of in the future. That's not to say that the two don't have affections for each other, but he does know that he is being a tool for Reinhardt and even seems to be content so as long as he's always by her side. It does make me wonder if he somehow got Dietrich killed though considering how jealous he was of him when he first came and saw how close his relationship with Reinhardt was, since we don't actually see him die other than in retellings from other people. He does seem pretty unrelenting to anyone who dare disrespect Reinhardt, killing even the own knights in his army without a thought for disrespecting her. Considering that the also never stopped thinking of her while he was out at war, being very protective of his sword (killing a barbarian he was going to bargin with for touching his sword for instance), it's safe to say you do NOT want to do anything bad to Reinhardt. I can only imagine that it can only escalate from here, considering that Wilhelm is also the bastard son of the king, meaning that Michel could very easily be dethroned if the information were revealed. I am curious what might happen after the entire revenge portion is done, or even just how the relationship between Reinhardt and Wilhelm will be afterwards.
Overall, a very solid beginning for a webcomic. All of the characters are pretty interesting and likable (well, the main characters, I suppose) and the plot seems to know where it's going so it's exciting to see what might happen next. If you are interested in this, please check it out, it is a good webcomic.

'cause you used to be a part of me (now you're only somebody)
| alessia russo x reader | angst | 1.0k | a/n: it's the angst i so desperately wanted to write. i don't know what it is about spotify but it kept playing sad songs this morning and then it played 'worse for me' by tyler shaw and i had no other option but to write this throughout my class. enjoy! also i wrote this as the backstory to this blurb
~~~
“It’s done.”
“Oh great! Okay, so the instructions say to take the dough out of the fridge and-” You begin, as you wipe your hands on the towel near you.
“No, not the timer for the cookies…the negotiations.” Out of the corner of your eye you see Alessia round the corner of the island, her phone making the distinct locking noise before it’s gently sliding on the countertop, coming to rest between you two, almost mocking you.
“The nego- oh…”
Taking a deep sigh, you mentally prepared yourself. Putting the towel down, you turned to face her. Letting yourself lean against the counter, you tried to look nonchalant even though you were everything but.
“So what’s the verdict? I’m going to assume that United matched?”
Alessia nodded, closing the gap between you two. Stopping a few feet away, she timidly reached out her hands, a wince on her face, nervousness clear with the way she was bouncing from foot to foot.
The silent question in her eyes didn’t go unnoticed by you. You reached your own hand out, intertwining your fingers, pulling her ever so slightly closer, the space between you two noticeably smaller.
“I love you.”
“I feel like there’s a ‘but’ at the end of that sentence.”
When the blonde took a deep sigh in response, you knew you were right.
“London right?” You could feel your own heartbreak at your words, well aware that this was how it was going to end, and yet it didn’t make the sting hurt any less.
“We both know I can’t stay at United.”
“City?” “I might leave my childhood club, but I won’t do them like that.” Her words had you shrugging in acceptance.
“So….Arsenal?”
“Yeah.”
You thought you had held it together pretty well up until this point. You had at least, until this moment. You don’t know what it was, but the final confirmation, the singular word being uttered just made it more real. It made your nightmares a reality.
Alessia could see you physically breaking in front of her, the first few tears falling down your face. The way you leant your head back, the wordless prayer falling from your lips, straight onto the ground where it shattered into pieces.
“Please say something.” Alessia knew she sounded desperate. Your opinion technically wouldn’t make a difference at this point- it hadn’t before, what good would it do now that everything else in the way was sorted and official.
“I don’t know what you want me to say,” the defeat in your voice clear from the way it broke in the midst of the sentence.
“Something? Anything? What do you think?” By now, Alessia had matching tears rolling down her face.
“I’m happy for you.” The statement contradicted your quiet sniffles and tears, them only getting worse.
“Are you though?” This wasn’t what happy looked like, Alessia knew that much.
“I am. This is going to be good for you.”
Voicing her concerns, Alessia took a chance. “You don’t look happy for me.”
“Alessia…” You trailed off, wiping your tears and pinching the bridge of your nose.
The striker couldn’t tell what hurt more, the fact that you couldn’t even look her in the eyes anymore or that you used her full name, something you haven’t used since the pair of you made things official.
“You need to realize that what’s the best for you is probably- no scratch that, it is the worst for me.”
Take a deep breath in to calm yourself, you continued. “I’m happy for you. I really am, I swear. But you leaving? That too a three hour drive away? That’s going to break me. Not being able to see you ever day? It’s like my worst nightmare come true.”
As your voice trailed off, echoing through the apartment that was already feeling a little less like home, you looked up at your girlfriend.
The way Alessia didn’t meet your eyes this time, spoke volumes.
“Alessia, no…”
This time, it was Alessia’s turn to raise her gaze through the roof, unshed tears threatening to fall at the slightest interaction.
“Don’t you dare Alessia. Please. Genuinely, I’m begging you, don’t do what I think you’re about to.”
“I’m sorry…” This time, the tears fell, the pair of you openly crying. “Know that I don’t want to do this bu”-
“Then don’t” you interrupted, naively hoping that even though she didn’t listen to you before, maybe she just might this time.
“I need to. With you still here, I-”. Her own shaky inhale cutting her off this time, hands coming up to furiously wipe at her face. “I can’t do it. I need you there, and I can’t have that. I just can’t. I can’t do it.”
“Please,” you pleaded. “We can at least give it a shot? You won’t even have to drive down, you know I love driving, I can always make the trip…”
The next two words had your shoulders slumping in defeat. “I’m sorry.”
Swallowing hard, a deep sigh leaving your lips, you let your heart break into smithereens on the ground between you.
“When do you leave?” your voice a whisper, too afraid of being loud, lest something else besides your heart cracks too.
“Just before I head to camp.”
“A little over two weeks from now?” you double-checked, not wanting to believe it could be so soon.
Nodding, Alessia timidly met your eyes, aware that she was the cause of your pain right now.
It’s why your next words took her by surprise, cueing another round of tears.
“Let’s make the most of it yeah?”
Tears streaming down your faces, you let out a pained smile. “These cookies better turn out great…after all that we just went through. I don’t think I could handle it if they don’t.”
Pushing yourself off the counter that you were using for support, you closed the distance between yourself and Alessia. Pulling her in for a hug, the taller girl practically smothered your body with her own, small tremors wracking her frame.
You knew that heartbreak was inevitable, the both of you needing to leave for world cup prep soon. Regardless, you couldn’t find it in yourself to let her go just yet, wanting to savour as many last bittersweet days that you could. So you let yourself hold her for as long as you could, aware that the clock was ticking, that she wasn't yours for much longer. You couldn't even be upset at her. This was, after all, the best thing for her future, for her.
It just so happened that it was also the worst for you.
Can’t Control My Mind
a/n: I’m letting you all know right now this is going to have a few parts to it so if you do like it don’t fret it won’t end here.
Tumblr media
Matthew had always been a pain in your butt and that part that had sucked the most about that growing up was the stupid little crush you had on him for years but he had always treated you like a little sister. You were sure it could have been worse. You and Brady had been best friends for as long as you could remember and you had gone through every major life change with him. You had also played wingman for him and introduced Emma to him who was now his fiancĂŠ.
Even though you had gone off to college and both brothers had gone on with their careers you still got to see Brady and Emma pretty often and remained close to them. Matthew on the other hand it was pretty rare that you were around him. Except for this upcoming week where you all would be together because of the wedding. Not only were you both going to be there but you both played pretty important roles in the wedding party.
You didn’t have much time to mentally prepare for the trip and at least your childhood crush on him has gone but still you knew Matthew and you knew his arrogance would probably get on your nerve. Or maybe this was you assuming, again you didn’t get to see him often but from what you saw in the media he was pretty arrogant especially after the season he had. You would be flying out with Brady, Emma, Matthew, and their parents.
Sitting in your seat you tried your best to not groan at the fact that Matthew would be sitting next to you the whole trip. It was just a few hours. A few long hours. But you had really hoped to be next to Emma. “Guess we’ll be stuck together for a little while.” Matthew grinned.
Matthew P.O.V
It had been way too long since Matthew had last seen his brothers best friend. Of course he saw the social media posts and every once in a while when he would get the chance to go back home would see her here and there but since she had grown up and gone to college he hadn’t the chance to really talk to her and wow was she attractive. No more awkward teenage phase that was for sure.
“I can’t believe you didn’t come out to any of my games with Brady, kind of rude of you.” He definitely meant it in a teasing way although maybe he wasn’t all joking about wanting her there. “Eh, my favorite brother wasn’t playing.” She shrugged and Matthew couldn’t keep the amused look off his face. This would definitely be a fun plane ride and he had no intentions of staying quiet and watching a movie. Although from the looks of it she was planning on reading a book.
“You’re not going to even try to entertain me?” Maybe he could be a little insufferable and the sigh that left her lips confirmed that but she did close the book so it clearly worked. “You know teenage you would always find a reason to talk to me.” Which was very much the truth but with being the older brother the last thing he wanted to do was hang out with his younger siblings and their friends. “Yeah, back when I had a massive crush but not anymore.”
An amused laugh left his lips. “Please, you’re telling me if I tried to kiss you right now you wouldn’t be down?” Immediately she shook her head no but there was a slight tinge of pink on her cheeks. “Absolutely not.” But the words came out a little unsure. Or maybe she did mean it but he would definitely be testing out the water this week. At that exact moment Brady chose to come over. “You’re not being annoying are you?”
“Oh no, I’m just asking your best friend over here if she still has a huge crush on me.” Brady scrunched his nose like that was the grossest thing he had heard which in his eyes he had never understood any girl who had a crush on his brother but much less his best friend having one.
Readers P.O.V
You definitely had your hands full this week. With the way Matthew had been teasing you too so far was just a sneak peek of the week to come you were sure. Plus you had a very good feeling that before the week was done if this teasing kept on you would probably end up kissing him at some point but you would not give Matthew the satisfaction of knowing that okay maybe even after all this time he was still significantly more attractive than most boys you had met. “I’m going to take a nap just so I don’t have to deal with you.” You told him, a grin on your lips. “Oh feel free to use me as your pillow, I’ve heard I’m quite comfortable.”
Thoughts on the headcannons that doffy is colorblind and that’s part of why his fashion sense is Like That and that corazon is so unbalanced bcos he suffered a traumatic brain injury in the same event where doffy got an arrow in his eye and cora was only normal kid levels of klutzy before that and got much worse after
Firstly I'm so sorry if it took me ages to reply, I didn't get notified of this in my inbox at all!🥹
Also, I do like both of those theories– in my opinion there is definitely something about his eyes that Doffy is deliberately hiding, whether a natural 'flaw' or an injury.
On Doffy's eyes;
I think the arrow to the eye was quite clear, it's hard to imagine he could get away from something like that completely unscathed. The only question though if this is the case is why he was wearing glasses before any of that happened. My guess is either:
- he had some kind of eye defect from birth, something that he possibly saw as this huge flaw for a high and mighty Celestial Dragon. Perhaps colour blindness from birth, or heterochromia, or partial blindness etc.
- this is self-indulgent and unnecessarily cute (sue me!) but I also like to think that maybe he was just attached to the glasses themselves as an item, the way small kids get overly attached to things and just don't let them go for a long phase I.e a favourite piece of clothing they insist on wearing everywhere or an impractical accessory.
In either case, I can see that after his injury he started wearing glasses all the time for a totally different reason; to hide an injury that was now a bigger flaw than anything else because it was definite proof of weakness. Whatever he's hiding behind those glasses I refuse to believe he's not touchy and secretive about it. I think the HC that Doflamingo actually has perfectly normal eyes under there and is just an Extra Bitch is hilarious!! BUT considering that he got to keep them even at Impel Down, and I believe the wiki says that Tsuru got him a new pair before he was tossed in jail, they must be pretty important to him/ the Marines who arrested him for that little while his eyes were bare probably saw something that they knew Doflamingo would get Touchy and Dangerous about so they wanted to cover it right back up and pretend they hadn't seen anything.
BUT I'M GOING ON A TANGENT! To answer your actual question, I've never considered that his sense of fashion is so atrocious because he could be colourblind. Like, I just thought it was atrocious because his personality involves being the centre of attention all the time– sitting on the fcking table at warlord meetings, crowning himself King of Dressrosa and throwing massive celebrations in his honour, his behaviour at Marineford– but now that you mention it I like that possibility! I would have to look up how people with colourblindness perceive colours, I think, to get deeper into it; for example, if he doesn't perceive his horrid feather coat as being pink the way other people see it, what colour does it look like to him, what aesthetic exactly is he going for? Doflamingo would 100% not care if other people's visual senses were assaulted in his quest to look good to himself so that's fascinating.
On Cora's clumsiness;
I totally REFUSE to believe he was exaggerating this or playing it up for the sake of his cover. His accidents are too inconveniently timed for that to be the case, like when it got him in trouble when he was stealing the Op Op Fruit...(ouch😭)
He says he's always been clumsy since birth but his klutzness is simply next level, so it really makes sense that it's the result of some traumatic injury. If it was simply a childhood trait I think it would get better with time, not significantly worse; AND, I know we didn't see much of him as a child, but there wasn't any time child Rosi was depicted as being that clumsy. I believe the only time he ever showed clumsiness was when he tripped and fell into a treasure chest one time(?) in one of the very first scenes of their family before they moved out of Marie Jois, but that's like. On a totally believable level for a child. His clumsiness is such an integral element of his character as an adult that I think they would've highlighted it in his younger self.
So! Yes, I agree with that headcanon ;-; poor Rosi...
Thank you for submitting such a fun ask! I do enjoy yapping about them XD
Well, the best work, or writing in this case, is done in collaboration with others amirite? The prev ask responding to my ask got my gears turnin and taking a break from writing by writing helps my creative juices flowin
When reader starts out they may have had their fair share of run ins with Catwoman, Harley, and Poison Ivy in their own way. But that was when they were a small fry, certainly not noticeable to their old family much less the femme fatales of Gotham.
It isn’t till they begin to rise from the dredges of Gotham that the three begin to take notice.
For Selena Kyle, she’s an opportunist at heart. She’s not wholly evil nor is she wholly good. At the end of the day she just wants to bathe in the lap of luxury with her feline friends and if that means introducing herself to reader, the hottest thing since sliced bread, and getting in their good graces then so be it.
What she didn’t expect was recognizing that pretty voice from months ago when some goodie two-shoes stopped her from stealing a diamond ring from Cairo. Sure, it was going to be auctioned for some stupid thing like newly paved streets or whatever but Selena could care less.
She was a rooftop type of gal anyway.
At the end of the day though, Ms. Kyle is a professional, that means bygones can be bygones for the right price.
What she doesn’t expect is just how profitable it is to take down the baddies. After all, the Gotham black market alone brings in millions- billions of dollars every year through illicit goods. Untold wealth stolen from museums and the wealthy sold to the highest bidder, reader sometimes playing the role of a seller, sometimes the role of a buyer.
But always coming out on top.
It’s a stroke of genius too, when reader hires Selena for a job, at first it makes sense. You want a painting stolen from some corrupt politician? Get Catwoman to do it. What truly confused her though is why you wanted her to put back the damn thing in the basement of the guys place a week later.
Turns out, art insurance companies are more vicious than one might think, and art insurance fraud can get you a lifetime in prison… and forfeiture of all your assets.
Assets you could happily sweep up on the dime now that that pesky obstacle was out of the way.
For Selena you aren’t just an adorable kitten flaring out her claws for the first time, but a beautiful independent woman just like her. And ladies ought to stay together in a town like Gotham, right?
At least, that’s what she’s telling herself…
Harley is much quicker to warm up to reader. She sees herself so much in the up and coming super villain. How many times has she gone to Arkham or sacrificed some part of herself for the Joker? How many times as she tried to appease the sociopath only to be ignored or even worse, have her efforts thrown into her face?
Speaking of faces, thing about being a brilliant psychologist means that she can be good with recognizing faces. She certainly recognized yours ages ago when the tabloids talked about a Wayne kid that left the nest early, paparazzi all vying to get a shot or two of the illusive member of the dynasty.
You were a rich kid, but seeing you now certainly could convince anyone otherwise. Harley sees that fire in your eyes, the emptiness and the hurt she long ago overcame to be her own woman in this town.
It runs through her head like a list when she analyzes reader’s movement. Symptoms of childhood neglect vary, naturally, but reader has the tell tale distrust in strangers and aversion to affection that has Harley’s mind buzzing with theories and thoughts, lots of thoughts.
It’s interesting to see when teaming up with reader to spread some chaos, the idea of using controlled unrest in rich neighborhoods to lower housing costs brilliant in her mind. Plus, rich suckers get to suck so why not?
Seeing reader like that just sparks something fierce in her. Maybe it’s a remnant of her more humane side, of the old doctor and psychologist, but she’s determined to be by your side like it or not.
You’re partners now, Puddin. You pinkie swore when teaming up so there’s no stopping now!
Pamela is honestly a whole lot harder to warm to reader. She’s a solo act for the most part, an antisocial eco terrorist that barely has friends outside of Harley and … Selena, but even the jury’s out on that one sometimes.
Her connection with nature makes her jaded with the vile parasites that walk about the street, the news of a new crime lord making the woman roll her eyes dismissively. New crime in Gotham? Please, be for real.
It’s only when Harley comes barreling into her greenhouse babbling on and on about reader that Pamela realizes maybe she ought to take a second look.
Who knew doing “good” as you put it, would involve her world so much. The plan was simple, destroy a few gas stations and car parks, break into some oil or gas executive event and make owning a car in Gotham all the more painful.
Growing pains according to reader.
Then with all the slush funds reader has, fund and develop a robust subway and bus system. Less cars, less subsidies, less pollution.
It was simply a coincidence that the reader had started a company specializing in public transport mere weeks ago, promise! And what’s more, building these tunnels meant that there’d be a perfect opportunity to carve out secret bases, paths, and caches all around the city. And as the system spread, making travel more green and efficient, so would your influence.
If you kept your thinking like that then… just maybe, Pamela might stick around more (Oh who is she kidding, the moment Harley was down for you Pamela would undoubtedly be there for her friend and you lol)
Oh god you’ve done it now with the royal!au for lestappen ok brainrot share time GO (this is so long I’m sorry)
So before queenie (I’m sticking with queenie bc I’m pretty sure princess is already one of you pairings) and Charles even got married she was already getting all the signals that he really didn’t want this betrothal and while she’s disappointed at first (bc ✨misogyny✨ in monarchies) since she’s always been told her betrothal would end with them falling in love over time (her royal parents being a HORRIBLE example of this and she realizes it and is skeptical but still hopeful!!!) but she also knew that for this too happen they both would need to at least be interested in making this work
So for months while they’re getting ready to be married they talk and they talk and Charles of course is escorted by his personal guard and head of the kings guard, Sir Max (sir implies knighthood right?). And she’s noticing that max is walking a little to close to Charles and Charles is looking back at max a little too often but she doesn’t think it’s her place to say anything, she’s good childhood friends with her own head handmaiden (or whatever the noble women that attend to female royals are called).
But she also notices the looks of jealousy sir max throws her way and THAT really confuses her. Until one day she’s looking for Charles in his office (Is there a different word for it in royal things??? Idfk OFFICE IT IS) and they’re just aggressively making out. It’s that moment where it all clicks but of course she squeals in surprise and that’s what tips them off to her presence
And of course max starts to threaten her while Charles is talking over him trying to calm him down until reader is like “I don’t care” which deep deep DEEP down she’s lying bc she thought that her and Charles were starting to get along despite the fact that Charles still seems disappointed some days.
And then the three of them talk and she begins covering for the two when necessary and max is still standoffish with queenie but Charles and her just become better and better friends.
And then the wedding and coronation (joint affair, mentally I’m choosing to believe that pascale was queen regent until Charles got married) happens and max is finally opening up to queenie as well bc - well - he’s her guard as well now.
And then they just kinda go from there until Charles starts feeling bad that queenie is always covering for them. Max notices. They don’t talk about it for weeks until max starts doing the same. And from there it’s just an “oh shit” moment when they realize what the other is thinking at the same time and talk about it
Sorry this ended up a lot longer than I thought DAMN
babe, I think you’re thinking of someone else because I don’t have a princess girlie in any of my pairings😭at least none of which I remember
BUT PLEASE THE POTENTIAL IS !!!!
I’m gonna make it worse! her feeling isolated because she’s from another kingdom and maybe people are quite standoffish with her. they don’t know how they feel about their queen coming from another kingdom. they don’t like.
and could you imagine charles is off somewhere and max is guarding her. and maybe someone makes a comment to her. maybe it’s someone who works in the castle and max sees how upset she gets, even though she tries to brush it off
and it opens this whole new side of things where he realises just how isolated she is, how charles was the only person she really knew and she doesn’t even have him anymore and UGH😭it could be such a pivotal moment for her and max’s relationship
Hii, how you doin, hope you doin well! Saw your request is open and can I request a strawhat crew reader who collets plushie and the strawhat crews reaction to it? Like when the reader first joined the crew there's only one or two plushie but every time they get to a new island the reader always gets a minimum one plushie of that island untill the plushies are everywhere in the sunny. Its okay if you deny my request and thankyouu if you take it. Thats all bye byee ♥️
Hiya papaya, I can absolutely do that!! That's so cute 🥺 I hope I can do this justice for you!!
[Heads up!: nothing but fluff!]
Tumblr media
Luffy ㅡ definitely doesn't see anything wrong w your growing collection and sometimes will help you pick one out if you're having trouble choosing. Definitely the reason you have plushies that resemble each member of the crew in some way or another.
"Whoa, hey! This one looks like Zoro, don't you think?" It's a green tiger plush that's been marked down because it's missing an eye, and Luffy grins as he hands the plush to you. "You should definitely get this one!"
ㅡ
Zoro ㅡ doesn't understand why you have so many, but also won't tease you about it either. Probably uses one of them as a pillow in his usual napping spots because they're scattered everywhere. Once made the mistake of damaging one while training, and you didn't know about it until he dropped the (clumsily) repaired plush into your lap.
"Here." You blink at the sudden weight in your lap, staring at the bear who's left arm looks a little worse for wear. "It was an accident but I know these mean somethin' to you, so..." He huffs when you thank him. "Whatever. Don't get used to it, okay?"
Is he blushing? Maybe, just a little.
ㅡ
Nami ㅡ threatens to sell them for beri just kidding, she understands the value behind stuff that reminds you of a childhood you might not have gotten to enjoy fully ㅡ they may not be tangerine trees, but she gets it. Might scold you a little if you're bringing back something expensive, but also not above helping you pick them out, like Luffy. Also will pick one up for a cuddle if she needs it, but also will help repair them if they get damaged.
"Here you go." She hands you the little dog and when you give her a confused look, she elaborates. "I saw the idiots tossing this little guy around yesterday, so his stuffing got pretty lumpy and I wanted to fix it for you. Little guy's good as new."
"Thanks, Nami."
She smiles. "No problem. Next repair won't be free though, okay?"
She's half teasing, half serious. Watches as you cuddle the plush to you, enjoying the soft plush of it and faint scent of tangerines.
ㅡ
Usopp ㅡ also kind of confused because you're a pirate, what do you need with so many stuffed animals? If it's a comfort thing, he leaves it at that ㅡ also makes voices for them if you're upset and he's trying to cheer you up. Could also be talked into working with Frankie and trying to design something so that some of them aren't just toys, but he won't do it if you don't want him to.
"Mr. Cat saw you were upset and he wanted to come check on you." You watch as the bell around the toy cat's neck jingles with the way Usopp walks it over to you, then up at the sniper himself. He grins nervously, then offers the plush to you. "Do you want to talk?"
"Not right now," you say, but hug the plush to yourself and offer him a weak smile. "Thanks, though."
Usopp's smile widens just a little. "No problem."
ㅡ
Sanji ㅡ definitely thinks it adds to your charm, coos about your duality ㅡ how can someone so lethal in battle have such a cute side too? Picks them up out of harm's way (ie Luffy, Zoro, occasionally Usopp) when he sees them. Also occasionally humors you by talking to them like they're people too.
"Would they care for a drink too?" You look over at the oversized rabbit that's seated next to you and then laugh.
"It's a rabbit, Sanji." His cheeks pink a littleat you laughing, but you soothe it with what you say after. "We could definitely appreciate your company, though."
Also watches where he smokes, does his best to make sure no harm comes to the plushies or that they smell like smoke.
ㅡ
Robin ㅡ finds it cute that you have a hobby like that, but also is mindful of where they're scattere. Makes sure none of them are flung overboard on accident, or torn up by the usual activity on deck. Also borrows one from time to time, either for Chopper or for herself to keep her company while she reads.
"Thank-you for letting me borrow this little one," she says as she hands the owl plush back to you. "They're very soft."
"Aren't they?" You look down at the plush, then offer it back to her. "You can keep this one, if you want. I have plenty."
She stares for a minute, then smiles. "That's very kind of you. Thank-you."
The owl plush becomes a common presence around her when she has downtime, keeping her company.
Tickletober Day 11 - Squeal
Fandom: Arcane
Words: 1,074
"Can you stop that?"
How Vi could make such a noise with a bag that small, Caitlyn didn't know. Pretty much everything they'd brought down to Zaun with them was strewn haphazardly across the floor of their tiny room they'd rented for the night, as Vi reached into the deepest crevices of her travel pack to find something she swore she took with her from prison.
Vi turned around to see Caitlyn sigh and bury her face in the bed's lumpy pillow. "If you don't drive me insane with that racket, you'll definitely disturb our neighbours. Just quieten down for a second, OK?"
"Relax, Cupcake. The rooms here go for basically nothing. No-one comes to this part of Zaun for a good night's sleep." Having failed to locate her trinket, Vi dumped the bag on the floor and began picking up their scattered possessions. "Our "neighbours"" - she flashed air quotes at Caitlyn - "have heard far worse than someone stomping around a room over."
Muffled by the pillow, Vi could hear Caitlyn scoff. "Well, in my house, we were raised to be considerate of strangers. You'd never hear a thing from me when we were guests." She rolled onto her side, pulling the blanket over her, her eyes half-shut as she tried to find a comfortable spot on the sagging mattress.
Vi rolled her eyes. It's likely she would've ignored the Piltoveran's bout of snootiness had she not looked over and saw Caitlyn's foot sticking out from under the blanket.
"I dunno, Cupcake. When people stayed at my place..." Vi's footsteps were nearly silent on the threadbare carpet, honed from years of sneaking around her childhood playmates. "...things usually got pretty rowdy." Reaching the foot of the bed, her knuckles brushed against Caitlyn's bare sole. She wasn't sure if her touch was firm enough to tickle, but she didn't have to worry, judging by the way Caitlyn's eyes instantly sprung open and her foot shot back under the covers.
She must have been grinning like a chem-baron in an alchemist's lab, because Caitlyn sat up and started slowly inching away from the Zaunite. "Vi, wait, I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"
Vi didn't know exactly what to expect when she dived onto the bed and swept Caitlyn up into her patented Tickle Hug (good at dealing with squirmy lees, and she had a hunch Caitlyn was one of those), digging her fingers into her upper ribcage, right below her underarms. She did not think Caitlyn would jolt in her arms and squeal so loudly she swore she saw the window frames rattle. Vi didn't even know Caitlyn could make a noise like that, or any of the frankly amazing noises that were flowing out of her now - innumerable tiny squeaks and squeals as Vi poked her ribs, deeper chuckles and snorts as Vi's thumbs rubbed the spot just below her ribcage, messy giggles and hiccups as Vi circled the small of her back, followed by her breaking out into wild, uproarious laughter as Vi's fingers wriggled past her undershirt and scurried over her belly. One of her hands was grabbing at Vi's wrist and shoving at her shoulder, struggling to shove her away, while the other was tightly gripping the pillow in a vain attempt to make this feel any less unbearably ticklish. She was smiling wider and more freely than Vi had ever seen, the gap in her teeth showing unconscientiously, her slim body shaking against Vi's bulkier frame.
"Nahahah- Vihihi, get ohofff- Eeek! Stahahap it, I said I'm soreeEEE- No! Ahahaha, don't! Get off thehere- getofftherenotthereNOTTHERE- AAAAH!"
Vi's finger had slipped into her navel, getting a squeal just as loud as the first - and an equally loud banging on the wall behind them, followed by someone growling in a language Vi didn't understand. She got the gist, though, and reluctantly withdrew her hands from Caitlyn's stomach, now shivering as she took in deep breaths. Caitlyn's face was flushed a shade darker than Vi's hair and strands of her own hair were sticking to her forehead and neck. She blinked a few times, brows furrowing and blush deepening as she took in the gently grinning face of her assailant.
Caitlyn propped herself up on one elbow and gently punched Vi in the shoulder. "You're a monster."
"A tickle monster?" Vi couldn't help saying it, and grinned even more when Caitlyn averted her gaze and started fiddling with hair.
"Whatever. You're horrible." Caitlyn rolled onto her back, and though the light was dim, Vi was sure she could make out a small smile on her face. The thought that Caitlyn might not actually mind this, or even perhaps like it, popped unbidden into Vi's head, and she had to forcibly suppress images of poking Caitlyn's sides in public, or waking her up with gentle underarm tickles, or holding her in her arms and tickling her until all their worries melted away. Of getting to see that beautiful gap-toothed smile, or hear those adorable squeals and giggles, on a daily basis....
Vi smacked herself (on the side that Caitlyn couldn't see, of course). There was no way they could stay together for that long, no way they could reach that point. There was a reason she was down here and it had nothing to do with teasing the woman that lay beside her. She shuffled in place and looked over at the clockface next to her. Perhaps she could fit in a little more. Just while they were here.
"Cupcake?"
"What is it this time?" There was no malice or exasperation in Caitlyn's voice.
"No-one ever tried tickling you when you were staying somewhere?" Vi nudged Caitlyn in the ribs. "You were loud enough back there to keep anyone awake."
"Shut up." Caitlyn giggled, then paused for a moment, licking her lips. "We didn't have many sleepovers when I was young. And even then, I was never... tickled... during one of them."
"So you've never been tickled before?" Vi inched closer to Caitlyn. The other woman squirmed slightly but made no attempt to move away.
"Not since I was very young." Caitlyn turned around to face Vi, that same small smile playing across her lips. "Why do you ask- oh nohohahah!"
As Vi predicted, Caitlyn made enough noise that night to keep the whole building up. Not that either of them minded. After all, no-one comes to this part of Zaun for a good night's sleep.
