currently thinking of Art watching his latest match on tv to see the mistakes he has done and how he can improve: he is sitting with his bare back comfortably resting against the cushion of the couch, arms crossed against his chest and legs slightly spread and if it wasn't for his eyes fixed on the TV, his eyebrows furrowed and his lips forming a thin line you wouldn't have never guessed he was so focused.
You are watching him from the door of the living room with his shirt on and slighlty disheveled hair tucked behind your ears, your lips curled into a smile while the fingers of your right hand unconsciously go to play with the engagement ring on the left one. Your eyes follow your own movements for a few seconds before hearing a soft rustle against the fabric of the couch that brings you to look at your fiancé again, he is still looking the tv but his lips are shaped into a small smile and his arms are uncrossed, one tapping against his thigh repeatedly and the other is laid out on the cushions for you to take. You swiftly pad towards him and take his left hand in yours, letting him help you climb on his lap like it's the hardest thing you have to do; he kisses your hand before letting you unwrap yours from his to let you hug his neck with both arms, your head falling in between them and against his throat while he caress your thighs with both hands, your chests pressed together and your legs on both sides of him.
You both stay silent for a few minutes, the tennis ball being hit over and over and the claps of the people on the tv were the only sounds you could hear along with the gentle breathing of Art under you.
“You did great today” you mumble against his throat before kissing it.
“Only because you were there” he replies, his hands moving in up and down motions on your legs “didn’t feel like losing in front of you” you smile and lean back to look at him.
“You would have been great even then” he finally tears away his eyes from the tv and looks at you, eyes softening seeing your messy hair and droopy eyes caused by the two hours nap you two had.
“I think you're slightly biased” he teases and, while you reach behind you to take the remote from the table in front of the couch, his hands wraps around your middle to prevent you from falling.
You pause the match “I’m just honest, the fact that I’m your fiancée doesn’t have anything to do with my opinion about your game” you turn back to him and comb his blond hair with your fingers.
“Sure it doesn’t” he sarcastically mumbles while his head drops against your chest in a relaxed way, his arms squeezing around you even tighter making your back arch and chest press more against his face.
“What do you want to eat? I was thinking we could stay here and order takeaway” your fingers massage the nape of his neck and head.
“Hamburger sounds nice” he mutters sleepily and you chuckle.
“You'll have to keep this from your nutritionist” a groan came out of his mouth and a mumbled ‘let’s not talk about my job anymore’ vibrates in your chest.
“I'll have to find a way to burn the calories quickly though, any idea?" He playfully bites your neck, you shudder taking his face between your hands “i might have a few...” and start to kiss all his face except his lips while he sits there with his eyes semi-closed, his head nuzzles the palm of your left hand.
“You’re so pretty” he whispers “i really want to kiss you right now” goosebumps takes all over your body and your heart misses a beat, he knows what effect this phrase has on you… it was the same one he said your first date.
For a moment you went back to 7 years before in your college days: when you were pressed between the passenger door of his car and his body after a walk on the beach, his jacket wrapped around your shoulders and your high-heels in one of his hands while the other had your fingers tangled together, and he whispered the same phrase that made your heart jump and goosebumps rise in the same way it did now.
“Please do” and he does.

Finarfin Fades.
No one expects it, no one’s faded in Valinor since Miriel. The War of Wrath is won and he comes back, waving off the courtiers, well wishers, and congratulators with his usual grace, and walks into the palace of Tirion. To rooms abandoned since their owners left so long ago. Winding deeper and deeper his feet take him to what was once Finwë’s favourite garden.
He’s so tired.
He’s fulfilled his promise to Fëanaro and Nolofinwë, to avenge them. To make the agony of their final moments - agony Finarfin felt, falling to the floor screaming as fire and darkness consumed his spirit - count for something. Now Morgoth is finally gone, but he’s not the only one.
His brothers, larger than life, larger than death, are gone. With them his sons. Niece. Nephews. Grandchildren. His daughter is never to return. He Saw little Nelyo’s death in his dreams and is sure hopes for the child’s own sake that Makalaurë will be close behind.
Little remains. Even less on these golden shores.
So Finarfin sits on a bench long overgrown with vines and weeds, and watches the sun filter through the thicket, wishing the ghosts he sees in his father’s garden would flesh out.
He sits. He waits.
And by the time anyone finds him, it’s too late.
…at least he’s smiling again.

Lucy's character development throughout all the Lego movies is interesting, mostly because she's spent a long time hiding her personality in different ways. Despite talking about being different and not conforming to Lord Business's ways, she ended up conforming in a different way to another group of people instead.
I mean if you look into it, originally she worked for Business and wrote 'Everything is Awesome', which ended up being used as a way to manipulate the population so that they would follow all of the rules that Business made without question.
Once Lucy found out about those plans that would ruin thousands of lives (Including hers), she ran away from everything that reminded her of the life she used to have working for a dictator and unknowingly helping his plans.
She tried so hard to change herself from who she used to be (she did succeed), but ended up trading her individuality and what actually made her special for a completely different persona that really didn't make her as happy as she pretended it did.
I think that's why she hated Emmet so much when she first met him.
Lucy probably spent years training her skills to defeat Business because she felt so guilty for unknowingly helping the evil overlord.
So seeing all of her efforts to redeem herself be thrown away, because the universe deemed this random unqualified construction worker (who really didn't seem all that different compared to the other people under Business' thumb) more worthy of the piece of resistance has got to hurt.
But then as the movie progresses, she slowly starts to realize that while Emmet is your stereotypical worker drone, he doesn't let that drag him down. He doesn't change himself because he's happy the way he is, despite how everyone else tries to change him.
Going back to my original point, despite preaching about everyone being special in their own way, the second movie starts with everyone building a new society from the ground up, where being tough and gritty is the norm and expected.
But this time instead of having a whole other community of master builders who have been challenging the norm for years (Since now the master builders are also following the social expectations), it's just Emmet challenging everyone's worldview.
Lucy keeps trying to make him listen to her, and teach him that to protect himself he has to change the way he is. It worked for her, it's how she escaped from Business, so why can't he do it too?
I don't think she realizes how she's acting. She's spent a long time forcing herself to be tough and it's normal for her. She pushes down every part of Lucy down to become Wyldstyle (Only really letting Lucy out around Emmet), so that's what she expects of Emmet.
It really isn't until the end does she finally let her be herself.
Just been having Lucy thoughts lately.
